Waching daily Jul 25 2018

When Louise Brown was born on July 25, 1978 in Oldham, England

it made headlines around the world

The reason - she was the world's first test tube baby

Robert Edwards and Patrick Steptoe are considered to be the pioneers of in vitro fertilization

a procedure that allows women to become pregnant

when natural conception is either unsuccessful or not possible

The process involves removing an egg from a woman's ovaries

fertilizing it with a man's sperm in a laboratory dish and then implanting it in a woman's uterus

Women having IVF are given special reproductive hormones

to encourage the ovaries to produce more eggs than usual

The eggs are then collected using a very thin needle

connected to a suction device which is inserted into each ovary

These eggs are placed together with the male partner's sperm

They are left in an incubator set at 37 degrees for 24 hours in order for fertilization to take place

Following successful fertilization the cells divide and multiply to form an embryo

After between two to six days the embryo

the embryo is then transferred to a woman's uterus using a thin, flexible tube

From there it is then left to form a pregnancy

Today, more than six million people have been born through IVF

with 1% of babies born in the United States each year conceived using this method

Tony Shalhoub Talks About His Role on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - Duration: 3:21.

-Your youngest daughter got engaged.

-Yes. -Congratulations.

-My older daughter got married this past year.

My younger daughter just got engaged a couple weeks ago.

-Very exciting.

-Very lovely. [ Cheers and applause ]

Lovely young gentleman that we're crazy about.

-You were -- I would assume -- You strike me as someone

who would be a very laid-back father.

On "Mrs. Maisel" you -- obviously from the clip,

we can tell you're a very uptight father,

prone to bouts of rage.

Is it nice -- is it nice to get to be that dad as well?

And do you think your daughters

ever watch anything on "Mrs. Maisel" and go,

"Oh, no, you're more like that than you thought"?

-Oh, yeah. Definitely.

Well, there there's that line from the clip.

I don't know if it was about her leaving wet towels on the floor.

-Yeah.

-And I did not talk to the writers about this at all,

but this was a daily occurrence.

[ Laughter ]

A daily argument, you know, with my kids growing up.

So when they saw that episode,

they assumed that I had just, you know, slammed that in there.

[ Laughter ]

But maybe that's common of all fathers and daughters.

-Yeah, I think probably.

-Luckily you have sons, so you're okay.

-I have sons but you know --

-They'll do other things on the floor.

-Yeah, exactly. [ Laughter ]

-Yeah.

-Well, we're potty training right now,

and the things Ashe does on the --

-You mean the kids, right? -The kids, yeah.

-Okay. [ Laughter ]

-I mean, I'm -- I'm, like, going back just to, like, you know.

-To refresh. -Just refresh.

-Remedial. -You know, I feel like

every five years it's good to just go through it and --

-Exactly. [ Laughter ]

Well, I'm happy to help out if you need me to.

-Thank you so much. [ Laughter ]

But, yeah, as far as leaving things on the floor,

when you're potty training, that just fully happens.

-Yeah.

-And for a butt that's so close to the floor --

[ Laughter ]

You would think it wouldn't be able to hit a velocity

that would make this sound.

But, like, that fully is what's happening.

-Oh, exactly.

-It's, like, very loud thuds, and, like,

"Oh, that just happened in the other room," yeah.

[ Laughter ]

-He's a good man.

-My father-in-law puts up with a lot

because as you know, our dog is at his house a lot.

And basically everybody we bring, except me,

is just [bleep] everywhere.

[ Laughter ]

So that is -- He is a very fine man.

-He is. He's a lovely man.

-Many thanks to Tom for that.

How are you as a father-in-law?

You have done it once now and you got another one coming.

-Yeah, I'm a little -- I'm new at the game.

Yeah. I think I'm okay.

You know, there have been -- as long as you just keep, you know,

shelling out the dough.

-Oh, that's it. -No, no.

-It's fully about -- -No, I'm joking.

-It's fully about just, like, buying them off.

-Not true. Not true.

No, I have -- I have the very good fortune of having two guys

in my daughters' lives who are so smart

and so skilled at what they do.

And so actually the only downside is that

they make me feel kind of stupid and lame.

-Oh, gotcha. -Yeah.

That's, you know --

-You shouldn't have to feel that way.

Again, you -- I need you to stay --

-Have we met? -Yeah, I know.

[ Laughter ] -Yeah.

-I want to -- we're gonna go to work on your ego

because I feel like you should --

you're too talented to be this doubting of yourself,

and I want you to --

by next summer, I want you to be a real ass[bleep]

I think that's -- [ Laughter ]

I think if we work together, we can get there.

-I'm gonna work on that.

-Thanks so much for being here, Tony.

Such a pleasure to see you. Thank you so much.

Rani Subiantoro - How Books Overcome Bullying | BukaTalks - Duration: 15:23.

May peace be upon you.

That was an inspiring session from Aan and Fuadi, WOW!

I donít have any capability to write just like Aan and Fuadi.

But thank you Bukalapak, for this Bookabuku sharing session.

Hopefully, we all can get something from the session.

Introducing, my name Rani Subiantoro.

Rani Siti Khadijah Subiantoro is my full name

A very Moslem name and Iím very grateful of it.

Only 22 years old, just graduated last December.

Me and my team, just start a platform call Bookabuku for the past year.

Itís an Indonesian first physical books lend/borrow online platform.

Anyway, Iím 22. I spend my high school time in Jakarta.

If before, Aan prefer writing because he feels uncomfortable to talk with people directly.

Unlike me, I am very comfortable talking with people.

I like to give my comments here and there.

I also like to refuse something that I donít see right, back in the school.

When other students prefer to sit in the middle,

I choose to sit in the front, itís the only seat available anyway.

When the teacher open the Q&A session, Iíll be the first to ask.

So, Iím a typical of a student who talk back to the teacher, thatís me.

Kind of annoying.

Since then, Iíve been bullied for 3 to 5 years. Constantly!

Back in the high school, start from 7 am to 3 pm. What a torture.

I always look forward to last bell of the day.

I was a very ambitious kid, still am, in my way.

From I was a kid until now, I was labelled with ìsnoutî.

Also, people called me ìfirst ladyî, well thank you for the good wish.

But I donít want it anyway.

Other times they call me ìboss ladyî,

Annoying me said ìwhat are you talking about?î

Called me by other abusive or insulting names.

Back in the high school, when another girl has a boyfriend, I donít.

When other have a chair mate, I didnít have to.

Itís the only chair left anyway. and I was the only one left.

So, I have 2 space all for myself and my stuffs.

You know, girls.

And I didnít have best friend because itís hard for me to make friend, particularly with the girls.

And I donít have much to talk about with the boys.

So, I end up with no friend.

No friend, so who do I convey to? I donít have anybody.

Being bullied make someone stronger, yes!

But at the time I was very weak.

No friend to talk to, canít really share with my parents.

Who should I talk to?

A bus driver, or maybe someone who sit beside me on the bus.

I am a spontaneous person, I can just talk to a random stranger.

Leave me 5 minutes, and Iíll get 3 new friends.

Well I only tell random stories to them.

But can I survive with that? I was 14 at the time,

Can I? No, I canít.

I was diagnosed with some kind of illness,

A psychosomatic I think in psychology term.

I donít know, sorry if Iím mistaken.

But itís an illness that when someone being really pressured mentally,

they show some physical illness symptoms.

The stress cause a lack of oxygen in the brain, high of gastric acid.

And I got scoliosis on my back, itís also get worsen.

On the bad time, I had to take 18 pills a day.

I also do a therapy daily at the time.

An about two years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic depression.

90% case like mine end with suicide.

So, I am the lucky 10%.

I canít share with my parents because the work most of the time.

I have no friends either.

Talk with random strangers, itís good for a certain topic

but I canít talk personal stuff with strangers.

So, what did I do? I went to a bookstore.

There are several places you can go to in Jakarta.

For an extrovert I feel really alone, at the time.

I need something to be my comfort zone.

I know I talk a lot, but I donít want to talk with no meaning.

And I like to learn. I like to get to know something.

So, I go to a bookstore around Senayan.

Itís a great bookstore at the time.

I went to a ëself-->enrichmentí section, my English was poor at the time.

There, I found a book called ì7 habits of highly effective teensî by Sean Covey,

Heís the son of Stephen Covey, itís a very good book.

The books change my life, massively.

These are the first 2 books I read by Sean Covey.

How it changes me? They change my mindset toward those who bullied me.

Donít care about the bullies.

You donít need to be in the cool gang, you can survive on your own.

Go out, find more books, find your own comfort zone.

Join organizations outside the school if you want to.

These books change my mindset so I can survive 3 years of bullying.

But then the bully doesnít stop.

When weíre being bullied, it changes us into some strong-->defensive character.

I carry along this strong character during my university time.

Then it got me bullied again.

But I keep on learning, from one book to another.

Started in 2011, now Iíve been read around 200 books.

Whereas the impact is quite significant for my life.

What kind of impact?

When I was sitting in the cafÈ, killing time,

I watched people around, I kind of curious of what theyíre talking about.

Then I search a book about it, read it all out.

The next time I come into the cafÈ, I can follow people conversation.

I finished a macro economy book for university when I was in high school.

Thatís because book in my only friend.

It gets me thinking ahead of my age.

My mom said, my mindís too old for someone born in 1996.

From reading the books, I get too met people.

People that I aspired to be, inspirational people, and Iím so thankful for it.

I can read 1 to 3 book a week.

Not because Iím a fast reader, but because I get bored easily.

I donít read word by word, I donít have that capability, I donít.

I just skimming through the pages, to come back later.

Move into an easier book to accompany me while commuting in the train.

Then read some poets before I sleep by Rumi or Kahlil Gibran.

Then I get inspired by an activity organized by my Campus,

itís a community development activity,

which we develop a business partnership in a rural area.

We also interact socially with the community in the area.

Then I met with one kid, who said was the smartest in Cibeber (name of the area)

I wonder if sheíd like me to teach her math, my expectation was high.

She agrees, so asked about her text book, and she ask me back, ìwhat is text book?î

I said, ìItís the book where you learn from with some math exercise in it.î

She said she donít have it, then I asked, ìWhat books do you have?î.

She brought me her note book, a thick one. The one she uses for the semester.

Then I asked, where does she get the book from.

ìFrom whole-->market store.î, she said.

Then I said to myself, thatís not a book store.

So, I get back to Jakarta with my friends, and we went to Cibeber monthly after that to maintain the business partnership.

I usually bring along several books of Diary of Wimpy Kid for the kids there.

Now, when I get the call from them, the kid has exceled so much in English,

She even competes in an English Olympic competition.

Thatís just me.

What if all of my fellow students also do the same thing?

How many kids can open their mind and excel in English like she did?

Thatís one story.

And here is my cousin, Kania from Bandung.

Also 22 years old, same with me.

Studying in Parahyangan University.

She studies commerce administration and I study business.

We have one subject in common that is financial accounting.

Thereís 1 rules at my campus,

We can never copy a book, youíll get warning if you do.

So I get the original text book, well itís actually my sisterís.

My sister and I get into the same major, so I never actually buy a new text book.

You know how expensive that is, right?

So, this cousin of mine, she borrows my books if she come to Jakarta.

First she looks through my text books, see if thereís something she can borrow.

Then she looks through my novels, English novels. Again, because itís expensive to buy.

I said to her to take whatever she need.

Iím just glad that in a way, itís free-->up some space in my book rack.

So, the books also open up her mind.

While maybe she thinks twice to buy a book, better use the money for gas.

But the books change her life, she also gets the knowledge that I get from my books.

A shortcoming in our country that is, us who live in big city like Jakarta

Have a relatively better access (to information) compare to other cities.

But when I share my book, my knowledge to other outside the city.

There will be an equality of education, equality of knowledge.

So, we can get smart together, then talks with each other better.

Late 2016, or early 2017, I have my AHA! moment.

I have to start a business, as my final assignment before graduation.

Then my friend, now heís our CEO, Ghiffari, got an idea.

Letís start a business from a problem.

Many ideas appear, health, education, on many other.

Then one ides stand out, why donít we make a business with a great impact.

So, we make a platform to lend/borrow books.

Donít take big profit, at least cover the shipping cost.

Just a little bit incentive to the book owner.

So, we make Bookabuku.

The first online physical book lend/borrow in Indonesia.

Instead of catching dust in the rack, you can make use of your book here.

We handle the shipping from you to the borrower, and handle the book back to you when they finish with the book.

You get incentive from the book you lend, itís about Rp. 5000,--> to Rp. 10.000,--> a book per month for local book.

We envision to enrich the life of the nation by sharing knowledge through the platforms we create.

Currently, beside Bookabuku we also create Bookasession.

Itís a session where you can have a 2 ways communication, but itís not a book review.

Itís something that initiated from a book.

For example, weíre talking about ìThe Four Tendenciesî,

We talk about the human characters, how to implement based on the book.

And if you like to know further, you can borrow the book from Bookabuku.

So far, we cover 9 provinces and 24 cities in Indonesia.

From the platforms, we connect 3000 users who embrace the culture of sharing knowledge.

Book has help me recover from my illness, no more painkiller pills.

I can get through the bullies, because they never really stop.

Now you have the business, covered by media, you get bullied by the ënetizení

So, it never stops. But you can get through with it.

Then my Kania can save some money with her education.

A kid from Cibeber can learn English from Diary of Wimpy Kid.

We make an impact through the books.

So why donít you start now with us?

Together we can enrich the life of our nation.

DOMINATOR - AFTERVLOG #144 - Duration: 17:52.

Good morning world

It's Saturday

and today is the day for..

Dominator!!

Imara and I go very early to the festival

Super fun because last year we were also earlier

then we had to promote for Dancepromo

but today we can do whatever we want

But we want to enjoy the entire day

I go fix myself

and transform myself

Let's go!

Transformed

This is my outfit

I used sunscreen because

it's getting hot today

as usual in The Netherlands

And now I go to Iemmie

Hi

Look who I picked up

it's me

Again

But today it's happening

We're going to destroy our shoes

and bring our ''Hak''moves

to a new level.

And we're in the traffic jam

It's 11am

And we're on our way

And we are super excited

Not normal

We're invited by No Fear

And they have a super nice area

So we show you also some images of that

We're going to enjoy this so mucj

Bye

Just parked

And now we're walking towards the festival

There someone dressed up very scary

I think it's scary too, come

There always entertainers in scary outfits at Dominator

But I don't like that

But there's the festival

He has also a nice bike

They have that every year

I think it's a motor bike

Hey here we are again

Today we're not at our bike but we're walking

And next week we will be with the scooter or inline skates

That's not a good idea to Belgium

We're walking to No Fear

He's already driving over there..

It's a long walk

What are you eating?

Bread with tomato, mozzarella, pesto and rucola

Enjoy dear!

Look who we got over here!

He made it!

We're at the mainstage

And we go to do an update

Listen

The weather is not so hot anymore

and that's so fine

Because we couldn't anymore

Now it's nice

It was very warm

but so nice

And we've been to very much different acts

Frenchcore

Extreme hardcore

Everywhere

Now the sound is much better

Now the sound is better than this afternoon

But it depends on the place where you stand

I don't know but

Temprature is better and

the music says everything

And now we go for it

A small closing of Dominator

Fant4stik was the best act of the day I think

it was so nice to start the day with their set

And I think their music is so nice

I think that Imara think exact the same

And the atmosphere was so good

Then we went to the mainstage

the MainStage was looking also very nice

It was 30 meters high

Very much led screens included

and it was looking very nice

Bodyshock had to play

I think his set was a little bit quit in the opposite of the other artist on the mainstage

Then was D-Fence live

always cool

Then Partyraiser with Bulletproof

We heard them at BKJN

a similar and good set

Very much known tracks

Paul Elstak was also very nice

Then it was Peacock his turn

I like his new track ''The World Of The Dream'' with Sefa

There were so much good DJ's at the mainstage

We stood the most of the time over there and at the Uptempo

At Spitnoise his set it was such a chaos

Unfortunately there wasn't firework at the mainstage

I like Dominators endshow the most

Especially with the combination of the fireworks and the lasers

We went to home at 22.30h

We want to thank NoFear Energy Drink for the invite, so nice

Dominator is one of the best festivals

and it's also the biggest

I like the visitors also

You have to go next year!

Next weekend we will be at Tomorrowland the entire weekend

Super excited

The Pursuit of Happiness - Motivation - Duration: 2:43.

One of the Most underrated Keys to Success in life is Happiness.

When you start your day surrounded by pleasure,

You know that you're on the right road to Success.

If you're not Happy Now, on this present moment, with what you have, you will never be successful!

You know why?! Because Happiness is not something you build the Future, Happiness is something you build in the present!

Let me give you an example.

I'm sure you've already heard about Jorge Mendes. He's Cristiano Ronaldo's agent.

Before getting Famous, before getting known as the Richest and the Best Soccer agent in the World,

Jorge Mendes used to work as a DJ.

After that,

He opened a rental store,

and then, with his savings,

He bought a nightclub

in the Northwest of Portugal.

He then met his first player,

Nino Espírito Santo, and the rest of his career as you know is history

What I want you to remember from this story is that:

Before getting Successful,

You need to be comfortable with what you do!

You need to Love, you need to Enjoy the things that you do!

That way, you're gonna attract the life that you always dreamed of! That way, you're gonna attract the people, the

Circumstances that you need, in order to make your dream a Reality !

If you Love to train, if you Love Soccer, if you Love to get Better,

You need to do a little bit of this Everyday! You need to do a little bit of this Every day!

Happiness comes from within. You need to be happy first in order to attract, the Life, the career that you want.

That way, you're going to be Successful!

You, as a Human Being, Have The Power to Become Happy!

I Repeat, You as a Human Being, Have The Power Become Happy!

Remember, we must be Great in order to get!

We must be Great in order to get! And it's easier to be Great when we're happy.

Be Happy my friend!

K-POP Cafe in Seoul ★ FNC WOW - Duration: 6:32.

We visited a lof of cafes in South Korea - FNC WOW was one of them

which belongs to FNC Entertainment

It's home to artists such as F.T. Island, CNBLUE, AOA, N.Flying, SF9 and HONEYST

FNC WOW is located on the 4th floor of one of the buildings on Myeongdong shopping street

As soon as you come inside, you can feel the great atmosphere fiiling this place

Photos, magazines, MV outfits, album covers - you can see much more than that in FNC WOW

But it's only the beginning! We found sketchbooks on one of the tables

Each one belonged to a different FNC group

It's possible to write down something to your favorite artists

We are fans of many FNC groups so it took us some time to write down everything we wanted to tell them!

We hope that SF9 and FTISLAND will come to Europe soon

FTISLAND once again because they had their European tour not so long ago

FNC is not only home of k-pop groups

In FNC WOW you can also see Jung Hae In's corner

He is a well known South Korean actor

Let us know if you saw him in any K-Drama or movie

It's not the end!

We saw various lyrics on the floor and they lead us to the counter

And we saw there a huge variety of delicious cakes

Each cake's name relates to an FNC group

CHERRY N CHOCO N.FLYING CAKE

BERRY RAINBOW AOA CAKE

FIVE TREASURES BERRY ISLAND CAKE

SENSATIONAL FEELING 9 CAKE

HONEYST MANGO CAKE

and CNBLUE BERRY CAKE

You will see in a moment which one did we choose

Of course, coffee is the biggest attraction of FNC WOW

It's a special coffee

You can order latte with a face of your favorite member!

We made our choices... We just had to wait!

We ordered the CNBLUE berry cake

And 2 latte with our SF9 biases - Taeyang and Zuho

I bought Zuho!

As we found out, they add a photocard to every order

We also got to know that sometimes they add them randomly

We definitely were lucky because we got our biases' photocards!

Let's see...

The second one...

And the last card...

I already saw his signature!

Let's try it!

This is...

Okay, I think...

It's the best cake in my life

I am trying to get through the layers

It's literally berry flavored

And it's blue!

Oh my God

I thought it only looks good

But it's delicious

I don't wanna drink this!

It's just... Cafe latte

It tastes like latte

But it tastes even better with Taeyang

It's time to find out what is the taste of Zuho

You were right

Suddenly, latte tastes even better

It's good, isn't it?

Genius! This is what I needed today

After drinking our a bit biased coffees, we saw the rest of the cafe

We noticed even more magazines with FNC artists' photoshoots

We also saw official merchandise

For example phone cases and official lightsticks

We even saw some jewellery!

But you have to know that none of those things are for sale

I wanna come back here tomorrow

And maybe the day after tomorrow

And the day after the day after tomorrow

We still have a lot of biases in FNC so... You know

We were a bit surprised by the entrance

Because we came to the cafe directly from the elevator

But it's awesome!

FNC WOW is definitely one of our favorite places in Seoul

If you are also a fan of FNC groups, you should visit this place for sure!

Especially because even FNC artists visit this place from time to time!
