Is it nice -- is it nice to get to be that dad as well?

And do you think your daughters

ever watch anything on "Mrs. Maisel" and go,

"Oh, no, you're more like that than you thought"?

-Oh, yeah. Definitely.

Well, there there's that line from the clip.

I don't know if it was about her leaving wet towels on the floor.

-Yeah.

-And I did not talk to the writers about this at all,

but this was a daily occurrence.

A daily argument, you know, with my kids growing up.

So when they saw that episode,

they assumed that I had just, you know, slammed that in there.

[ Laughter ]

But maybe that's common of all fathers and daughters.

-Yeah, I think probably.

-Luckily you have sons, so you're okay.

-I have sons but you know --

-They'll do other things on the floor.

-Yeah, exactly. [ Laughter ]

-Yeah.

-Well, we're potty training right now,

and the things Ashe does on the --

-You mean the kids, right? -The kids, yeah.

-I mean, I'm -- I'm, like, going back just to, like, you know.

every five years it's good to just go through it and --

because as you know, our dog is at his house a lot.

And basically everybody we bring, except me,

So that is -- He is a very fine man.

How are you as a father-in-law?

-Yeah, I'm a little -- I'm new at the game.

in my daughters' lives who are so smart

and so skilled at what they do.

they make me feel kind of stupid and lame.

Why am I alone in such a strange place.

You may be wondering a lot.

I got to have some time to search for myself that was not revealed to you earlier.

I will spend some time to find myself

while I am talking to you today.

What an atmosphere.

What an e-l-e-g-a-n-t atmosphere.

I am the most elegant of all CLC members.

How did you find out..

I will write a poem like I usually do as a hobby.

Not being contrived.

As I always do, at home.

I always run an ink stick and write on hanji* at home. (*traditional Korean paper)

Q: How did you get to like poetry?

I read.. a lot of poems when I had hardships.

I couldn't' sleep because of too much stress.

And there was no way to get rid of it.

I am not the kind to go and hang out to have fun.

There are many heartwarming words,

comforting words in poems.

So while reading them? (I got to like poetry)

Poetry is like a good friend to me. [Seunghee felt much comforted reading poems]

Since elementary school…

[Taken back] Doing it at home all the time,

I am not at all awkward now.

(Crumples, crumples)

Q. Who do you think will age best and most graciously among the members?

Oh, dear. I thought they called me an aged person..

And wondered who would say that.

Who will age the best as an elderly lady..

Um…. Me.

I think it will be me.

Even when I grow old, I'll be G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S.

Q. I wonder why you never spill your guts to us.

It's in my innate personality,

But moreover, being the eldest in the group..

I just assumed they could have such thoughts,

but now that they actually questioned it,

I will try to be more outgoing and talk to them more often.

Q. What do you do when you stay home?

Why do I get the feeling it's rhetorical?

I do not dislike going outside exactly,

but home is the place that brings comfort to my heart.

Doing laundry at home is fun.

Watching TV feels like watching it in a theater, though the size is the same.

When you go out, you just walk around by yourself.

At home…. I am by myself as well..?

At the moment, who do you miss the most and why?

I want to see CLC members throwing this question at me.

It has been 6 years since I lived away from my parents,

Sometimes when I go home and talk to my family,

I say "I should get back home.", meaning my home in Seoul.

Now the members feel closer to me than my family in a different sense.

Well, first, beauty, life, dream, home and family..

To live my dream,

I tried many things for the first time

I came to live away from my family

I am living a beautiful life now, for my dream.

I don't know what my life will be like, but I..

Who asks such a question?

That I lived my life well.

When I look back at my life as a gracious old lady,

I do not want to regret my twenties spent with the members

And I am confident I will not regret my life.

So, for the first time away from my family, for my dream, to live a beautiful life,

I am here before you as a CLC member.

Q. When do you find the younger members the cutest?

Since '96 members are only one year younger,

Most of you think they might not look so cute to me.

When they act cute as a joke,

I tell them it is too much and to get away from me on the outside,

But it's actually really cute.

Since acting cute is not my strongest point,

I feel envious of them when I see them being cute,

And because it's not in me, it feels even cuter..

Eunbin is always.. like.. an <energizer>?

And sometimes burdens me with questions

But she is such a cute younger one.

And other young members are all cute, too.

Well I think them cute all the time.

Of course, I do not tell them.

I will never tell them.

Q. What is your life's goal?

This could be a somewhat.. deep question,

But I think of it from time to time.

To judge my life as a <success> or <failure>

is not right, in my opinion..

Everyone has their own standard of happiness,

So I am not sure of the standard myself yet,

But I want to find what satisfies me through my life

When I look back at my life,

I wish it would be a life that makes me think, 'Ah it was not so bad after all.'

For the time being, I cannot imagine

what kind of life it will be

But it's the kind of life I dream of.

Q. What was your favorite question so far?

I think.. I found the last question quite formidable.

Even if I often think about it by myself

It is not usual that someone asks a question like this.

Such a question..

But by saying these things out loud,

I became more convinced..

And it motivated me to wish to live such life..

It suits today's gracious atmosphere

Therefore, I liked the last question a lot.

Audi Q3 Defined: Design - Duration: 3:05.

Symmetry is a little bit boring. If something is balanced it doesn't mean that it has to be symmetric.

A human body it isn't symmetric, it's balanced.

The Q3 is like the anatomy of a human being, it looks balanced but is not symmetric.

My name is Matthis Fink and I am part of Audi Exterior Design.

Q3 is a 100% Quattro car, and 100% Audi.

The front has a really distinctive and focused look. It's because of the small, slim headlights.

Which are supported by the thin graphic of the day running light. And then the grill is surrounded by a really sharp line like a mask.

And you find this in the rear as well.

The shoulder line runs from the headlight towards the taillight and is really sharp and precise.

If you look at the car from far away you don't see the design features, you just read the silhouette and the stance and the volume.

It's combining perfectly the sporty character of an Audi car and the character of an SUV.

The athletic cabin from the Q3 is really unique.

We get inspirations through architecture to bring a feeling of space, which is the most important feeling.

My name is Vincent de Labrouhe de Laborderie. I'm one of the designers who created the interior of the new Audi Q3.

The biggest challenge was to create a completely new interior with complete new interface.

What we wanted to bring was new digital experience to the driver. So we now have an integrated screen which brings a complete different interpretation of the interior.

And what we wanted to do is create more horizontal volume to bring more space to the interior.

And integrating the screen into a black panel directed to the driver.

And which is integrated in an octagonal shape directly inspired from the single frame from the exterior.

Q3 is bigger in every way, we have a much bigger trunk space which is really nice for this kind of vehicle.

We have integration of alcantara into the dashboard and the doors, which is completely different from the previous generation.

The project for the new Q3 started about 5 years ago and we definitely can't wait to see the new Q3 through the streets.

I will be really proud to see it around.

Balance is the most important character of the new Q3. Such an important thing in our life.

We seek balance in the environment and objects around us and the Q3 is a car for every day.

I'm lucky to see a fair amount of you

because you're very close friends with my in-laws.

My 2-year-old son is a huge Tony Shalhoub fan.

because we realized that, when Ashe drinks a smoothie,

-So, you also just had a big family reunion

every summer.

And it's not just one of those short weekend things.

This is, like, a week long --

sometimes, it starts a little early and goes a little longer.

And, you know, it's -- well, it's family.

But it's -- it's great.

It's a little complicated, as you might imagine.

-Uh-huh. [ Light laughter ]

-But, you know, it's funny because we --

[ Chuckles ] In the old days

and, you know, in past years,

you know, we were -- we were --

you know, there were, like, things to do.

You know, we would, like, go and we would --

we would go -- some, you know, people would break off.

There's people who would go hit some tennis balls,

and somebody would go biking or jogging or swimming,

wind surfing, you know.

Now -- Now that we're all a little older,

we just pretty much just sit around and eat,

you know, and drink. [ Laughter ]

-Yeah. -Just, like --

I mean, we -- there was always a lot of food.

You know, in the old days, we would like,

always surround -- you know, food surrounding us.

But, you know, then there were various ways

to kind of burn it off. -Okay, gotcha.

[ Laughter ] -Now, I think,

the only way to actually burn off the food

is just to eat more food. -Gotcha. Yeah.

[ Laughter ] That's a very bad cycle.

-It is. -Is it -- But drama

at a Shalhoub family reunion,

or, ultimately, does everybody get along very well?

-Oh. Oh. [ Laughter ]

Yeah. Yeah, you know, it's --

there's always that -- that little bit of drama.

[ Laughter ] -Oh, yeah.

-You know? Yeah. It's...

You know, because just a lot of --

there's 10 of us, and now there's, you know...

-And 10 -- 10 siblings. -10 of -- 10 siblings,

and then there's our -- their kids, our kids.

-Yeah. -And then their kids.

And, it -- you know, it gets extended.

[ Laughter ] So -- So, yeah, inevitably,

you know, it's -- we put the "fun" back in "dysfunctional."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

You -- What made you --

First of all, congratulations on your Emmy nomination.

So well deserved for "Mrs. Maisel."

-Yeah. You know, it's funny --

that nomination, you know, coming on the heels,

as you mentioned in your very generous introduction,

the Tony Award... -Yeah.

-...this past month, too, and, you know, it's --

I'm starting to feel a little overqualified for my job.

-Oh, I see because now you're a Tony winner.

-Yeah. Well, you know if I weren't -- you know,

but for the fact that I'm so insecure...

...you know, I could really go to that dark place.

we're all very lucky that you're so insecure

and the guys in my category that I was up against.

serious musical theater geniuses.

And I was -- I've never been in this category.

I had no business being in this category,

in the musical, you know, actor category.

And some -- I don't know --

something fell in the universe somewhere,

and, uh -- and I came away with it.

-Well, congratulations on that. -Yeah.

-That's fantastic. And obviously...

you had such a long, successful run on "Monk,"

what made you decide to do a series again

like "Mrs. Maisel"?

-Well, yeah, you know, we --

we'd spent a lot of years in Los Angeles,

which is where we did "Monk," of course,

and where we raised our kids and everything.

But we moved back to New York a couple of years ago.

And I've been working in New York a lot more

in the last I'd say five years or so.

And both of our girls are grown and moved to the East Coast.

I think they were trying to get away from us.

[ Laughter ] And we solved that.

And -- And, you know, this opportunity arose,

this series that shoots in New York.

It was just serendipitous, and I just feel like the luckiest man.

I mean, it's such great material,

great writers.

I'm working with the most brilliant cast.

-And it's a beautiful look. Obviously, the era is great.

-Yeah. -The costumes are wonderful.

-Yeah. -This is a photo of --

This is you when you were younger, yeah?

-In the late -- in the '50s, the late '50s, early '60s.

-[ Laughs ] Which one of these dudes is you?
