Well it is very simple, guys.
If the letter 'a' is part of the stressed syllable in the word –
so the syllable that you emphasize –
it is pronounced "a".
An open sound like, "accident".
If it isn't part of the stressed syllable,
it's a closed "e" sound like "accuse".

Now of course you will ask me, "Well, yes, but I mean how do I know where
the stress is?".
Well that's the tricky part, guys.
I'm sorry there's no rule in English.
That is just something that you need to memorize.
But the good news is, we're going to practice today.

So next how do we know how to pronounce this double 'c'?

Well this is even easier.
You just have to know what letter follows the double 'c'.
If it's 'i' or 'e', like "accident",
the pronunciation is like KS.

If it's any other letter, like 'accuse', it's a simple K. like accuse.
