TV and in this video I'm going to show

you the application process for the

Discover Card but before we get started

I have a quick message.

Once again my name is Duane with how to

build credit TV and on this channel we

talk about everything you need to know

about credit. We also talk about how to

get cash back actual cash money from

using credit cards as well as credit

card reviews if this sounds like

getting a credit card from Discover card

they actually offer quite a bit of

credit cards. Whether you're a college

student or you're a full-blown adult,

there's a credit card for you.

Discover card is actually really good at

matching the cash back or the miles that

you've earned in your first year of

membership. So what that means is they

actually match every single cent or

every single mile that you earn

depending on the credit card that you're

gonna get from Discover card in your

very first year. So I've been fortunate

enough to have the discover it

secured card for 12 months going on 13

months now and I've been able to get

back eight hundred seventy two dollars

and 68 cents. I'll actually link a video

at the top right of this video if you're

interested in watching. And I'll link it

at the end of this video as well. But in

this video what I'm gonna do is I'm

gonna show you the application process

if you're interested in getting the

Discover card. So I'm gonna go ahead and

jump on my laptop for the rest of this

video and I'll see you in just one

second on a laptop. Okay so as you can

see I'm at the Discover website. I'm

gonna go ahead and apply for the

Discover card, I actually have the

discover it secured card. I've had it

for a year twelve full months but for

some reason I have not been promoted to

the unsecured card. I'm not sure if it's

because I had a high credit limit which

was twenty five hundred dollars. I

deposited twenty five hundred dollars

with them so I'm gonna go ahead and

apply for it just because I actually

like this card so much and I like the

cashback a lot. And the fact that they

match the cash back so you can have I

think two to discover cards. Sorry guys

I'm really having a hard time typing as

I'm talking to you clearly I need to

work on this. But I so yeah I have to you

can have to discover cards and so I'm

gonna go ahead and apply for this card

which is going to be an unsecured card.

Let me show you today's date today's

date is August the 24th today's Friday.

This is the second credit card

application I've done today. Once again

I'm applying for

this card because I know that I should

get approved I applied for the American

Express blue cash everyday card or

something like that I did that earlier.

I'll be sure to link that video in this

video so you can watch that application

as well which was a pretty excited that

I was able to kind of reestablish a

relationship with an American Express. It

had been awhile since I was in college.

So I'm bear with me here as I typed

slowly and try to communicate to you

guys while I am filling out this

application. So I'm really excited

I actually made with my Discover card. I

made eight hundred seventy two dollars

and 68 cents I want to say I did a video

on that as well but that's the cashback

that I've earned in one year and

Discover card is going to match that so

I am really excited about that of course.

I'm gonna make it another video showing

you guys you know when they actually

match it and I'll actually show you guys

when I deposit that money into my

account, which is really cool because

it's real cash back. It's cash back that

I can deposit directly into my checking

account. So of course that's always

exciting, I had a great experience with

the Discover card to discover it

secured card the only thing that I did

not like was the fact that like I said I

was not promoted I still haven't been

promoted. And so I I'm gonna wait because

I'm not really in a hurry to get the

twenty five hundred dollars back it's

not like I need it right this minute

so I'm gonna go ahead and wait and kind

of see how long they take to promote me

to the unsecured card. So if they do or

when they do I'll have two cards of

course I don't want to I don't want to

cancel I don't want to cancel the secured

card that I have right now. Because you

know that's a year of credit history

that I have you know had and so it

doesn't make a lot of sense to get rid

of that and also closing that account

and opening this new account really

really sucks because you know that's

going to be like I'm gonna be losing

basically that whole relationship that

whole year that I've had with them.

So I'm not really excited about doing

that doing that but like I said I'm

definitely going to give them some time

maybe a couple of months and kind of see

how long they take to promote me to the

unsecured card. It's crazy

asking me for my work number and I don't

have that just memorized

unfortunately because I never called

myself while I'm at work. So I'm having

to Google that as I'm talking to you

guys right now in this video so forgive

me as I'm taking forever to supply that

information to them. So anyway um yeah so

I'm looking forward to it like I said

this is a second application that I have

submitted today. I applied for the

American Express blue cash everyday card

and looking forward to that I was

actually approved for that I was super

excited. Because it had been a long time

since I had a relationship with American

Express since back when I was in college

and I ruined that relationship so I'm

looking forward to you know having that

American Express card. But anyway so I'm

still applying here as you guys can see

all right let me consent here I have

agree I've read and agree blah blah blah

and let's submit the application here.

And see what happens this part here I

hate applying for stuff online like it's

just like the worst. I'm just like I

don't know online is I feel like online

it's real quick to reject you but I feel

like I actually get approved of this card.

So let's see how it goes as I'm waiting

for the page to load and for them to

decide.

Okay sweet congratulations you've been

approved your card credit line and other

important information should arrive in

five to seven days. When you get it be

sure to call it activate your card then

you'll be ready to start enjoying

rewards on every purchase. To check your

should I click there. I'm gonna do it

because I'm a nerd let's see this will

be interesting,

well this is weird

it's sent me here I'm not sure if

they're gonna let me know what my credit

line is here. They did say that that the

information will arrive in you know five

to seven days or however long they said

so we'll see here. Oh sweet that's what

I'm talking about let's go yes alright

congratulations you're approved for a

Discover card.

Welcome soon you'll be getting well I

need to learn how to read it says soon

yeah that's right soon you'll be getting

cash rewards on everything you buy with

your new card. So watch for it in the

mail then activate it right away your

credit line is five thousand dollars.

Guys this is super exciting like I said

I actually have the discover it

secured card and I have twenty five dollar

credit limit on that but that's the

money that I put into it and I'm waiting

for them to upgrade me so that they can

give me my money back and I don't have

to cancel that account. So I'm pretty

excited it says if you receive a cash

advance credit line it will be less than

your total credit line and the amount

will be provided to you with your new

card. So I'm not really interested in all

that but that's sweet my credit line is

five thousand dollars. Thank you so much

Good morning everybody and welcome back to another video

Today, I'm in a really weird mood today to where I'll be in a certain mood to want to do like a hobby for

Like 10 minutes and then it will completely go away

and I won't want to do anything and then another one will come through like I woke up this morning and I was in the

Mood to like get on the treadmill and like jog, I went to his shower. I got out of the shower

I was like and I really love my dog and I was like I want to build something today and I just like went away

I don't know. We're going to get coffee right now. Maybe that'll spark some inspiration to do something today. That's

Not worthless. I have to wait and see something that I really do want to do today is get really organized for school

So like right down went on my test star and when everything has to be do kind of have like a planner or something

Ready? Oh my gosh. So we're going to go do coffee right now. So see it Starbucks, but just now ordered

she got a job and

I ended up getting a caramel macchiato and let me tell you this is my drink

This is the best thing that I've ever had. I looked it up and apparently it has espresso in it. So

I'm probably gonna be wired all day or at least for an hour. So we made it back home

I had my coffee. It was really good

That was probably like the best coffee I've ever had and I'm not a big coffee person

So, I mean it takes a lot for me to like it

I've been hanging out watching some videos trying to get some ideas on how to make this channel better
