2018 Volkswagen Santana Media Drive - Duration: 2:45.In a quick three days,
Volkswagen Philippines took us out on a drive
all the way to Nueva Ecija with three of their great products.
Namely, the Santana, the Lavida, and the Tiguan.
Today, what I really want to focus on is this.
The 2018 Santana.
Over the 200km that we did drive,
I found three very important things that I want to share with you.
Namely,
Number 1: The NVH or Noise, Vibration, and Harshness
is actually very good inside this car
When we were driving it, we were hitting
3,000, 4,000, and even 5,000 rpm
and yet the car inside the cabin, it was still very, very quite.
Pretty impressive considering that it is a 1.4 litre
and you'd expect the engine to be screaming, right?
Even if it was, we couldn't hear it from inside the car.
Very, very good.
Second is the clutch and transmission.
Now, the clutch might be a bit tall for some people.
It might take some time for you to get used to it
when you're pulling your foot up.
One more thing some time to get used to is the transmission
because that 5-speed manual,
it feels like a short throw.
It actually is pretty darn good to drive and fun too.
And lastly, for a sub-compact of this size,
what I am ridiculously surprised with is the amount of
trunk space there is in here.
Now, it doesn't have a 60-40 split inside so you can't access it
but the amount of space it has back here,
it feels like it's more than the Tiguan, so to speak.
For real, it really does.
To show you, I'm about to put a 6 footer in there.
Wanna see?
It's comfortable.
I like it.
Probably have some tea.
and here we are again, today
another milestone.
I mean we haven't had a ride and drive for quite a while now.
So I'm quite happy that we're able to do this with you guys again
where you get to actually experience these vehicles.
The wonderful Santana, the Lavida, and the Tiguan.
Over the weekend, we've received thousands of leads
for Volkswagen products
and over 90% of them have been for this,
the Santana.
So clearly, it's gaining win.

Umsatzsteigerung, Automationssoftware für die neusten Trumpf Maschinen - CADCAM Nesting von WiCAM - Duration: 3:55.presents
Metal Mobil in France Trumpf machines controlled by WiCAM
When Brothers Arnauld and Frédéric Pitet took over their parents' sheet metal business in 2003, they had a clear goal:
they wanted to run the most advanced sheet metal manufacturing business in the region, fully efficient and perfectly in line with their clients' needs.
To this end, a new Trumpf laser machine was acquired in 2005.
As Frédéric Pitet recalls:
From 2007 onwards, we started to invest continually in new machines.
Thanks to this approach, we succeeded in boosting sales from 2 million euros to 5 million euros within just ten years.
Based on our past experience with various computer systems, we knew
that the CADCAM system would play a crucial role for our business.
The requirements were clear:
the system had to offer simple, fast, error-free programming for single parts all the way up to mid-range series - naturally with full ERP integration
so that the company would be able to mix any standard program with 'on-demand' production.
As Frédéric Pitet says: PN4000 convinced us from the very beginning.
It made it very easier for us to reach our self-imposed goals.
We have been able to cut programming time by more than 30%.
Today, we program many products fully automatically, with minimal material waste
and with significantly increased flexibility and with no errors at all.
We create dozens of scheduled nestings every day - just in time
In 2018, Metal Mobil launched a new fully automated production line with a Trumpf TruPunch 5000 FMC
and a Trumpf 5030 8kW Fiber with SortMaster these are connected to a Stopa storage system.
With this combination, thin sheet metal parts from 0.5 mm with all kinds of formings
up to 40mm components can be produced without any human intervention.
As Frédéric Pitet says,
for the new production line MetalMobil chose Trumpf's latest
with all the options for maximum automation.
And we were able to control everything from day one, thanks to WiCAM.
With this combination of machines and software, we can respond quickly to our customers' expectations.
Our employees contributed their extensive experience and enthusiasm to the realization of this project.
Every day, we come one stop closer to reaching our ambitious next goals.

Apoptosis and venetoclax - Duration: 4:52.Apoptosis
Apoptosis is a type of cell death
that removes diseased and unwanted
cells from the body.
Mitochondria play a central role in this process.
Apoptotic proteins released from the
mitochondria destroy the cell.
On the surface of mitochondria
three groups of proteins
regulate apoptosis.
The initiator
pore-forming
and guardian proteins.
The fate of a cell is
determined by an interplay of these
three proteins.
The interaction between
these proteins is mediated by BH 3 domains
and BH 3 binding grooves.
An initiator binds a pore-forming protein.
This activates pore-forming protein
revealing a hidden domain.
Acting as a
safeguard against apoptosis
guardian protein binds activated pore-forming protein.
Initiators also then compete for
guardian protein, releasing pore-forming protein.
Released pore-forming proteins
combine to form dimers.
The pore-forming proteins gather and
create holes in the outer mitochondrial membrane.
Proteins are released that
drive the cell towards apoptosis.
Venetoclax
Venetoclax is a potent drug that
causes cancer cells to undergo apoptosis.
In some forms of cancer
such as chronic lymphocytic leukaemia
an abundance of
guardian proteins on the outer
mitochondrial membrane keeps
cancer cells alive.
In cancer excess guardian
proteins stop the pore-forming proteins
from puncturing the membrane.
Venetoclax is designed to bind to guardian
protein and activate apoptosis.
The drug releases initiator and
pore-forming proteins.
Released pore-forming proteins combine
and create holes in the
outer mitochondrial membrane.
Proteins spill out of the mitochondria
that drive venetoclax-treated cells
to be selectively killed by apoptosis.

Indian Breakfast in the EPIC Indian Himalayas - Duration: 6:54.We're not in Delhi anymore dosto (friends). We're 10 hours outside of Delhi.
And I'm on my way to Leh in Jammu and Kashmir state.
And Leh is right below the Chinese border
and this is going to be one of the most beautiful and dangerous road trips you can ever go on in your life.
It's dangerous because we're going to be crossing three of the highest mountain passes in the world.
The roads are bad, there's water crossings, oh the air!
The air gets so thin at these high altitudes that it's really hard to breathe.
But it is the most beautiful road trip you can do in the world.
First you're crossing through the Himalayas and these are just stunning on their own.
the ice kept mountains, the glaciers...and then you'll be crossing into Ladakh, the Ladakh region of Jammu & Kashmir.
And it's a barren, rocky mountainous area and it's in stark contrast to the lush Himalayas you're going to see soon.
It's 4 in the morning and I'm definitely not married even though I'm wearing a bindi (coloured mark on forehead worn by women).
which a mosquito gave me last night. And today, this is where the road trip really starts in Manali.
This was embarassing. We drove past Rohtang Pass and we couldn't see the pass at all.
because there were clouds. We couldn't see anything in the clouds there.
It's 10 am. It's time for breakfast. Just check out these "dhabas" behind us.
They are little like 'brick shacks' basically. I'm beginning to eat "paranthe". Always paranthe.
That's my favorite thing to eat in India for breakfast. We just ordered paranthe.
So let me show you inside these little shacks that they have here.
Just past Rohtang Pass. So you come inside here and its...you've got the serving area over here.
And then especially these little cute tables here and it's a basically corrugated iron roof
and...yeah, stone and brick walls. There are a number of these around the place.
I mean just look at this view out the door here. Just come out to this...it's just stunning.
Karl: Oi, what are you eating? Girl: Omelet. Bread Omelet.
Yeah, you're going to be in the video doing that. She's got plain omelet but they bake bread into it.
They fry bread into it so it's not just a normal omelet. And right next to it is ginger lemon tea, I think.
Karl: And you bro? Gaurav: I'm having a tomato cheese omelet.
Tomato and cheese...okay. Pretty simple. These guys are not Indian at all. They're eating omelets.
Weird, and instead, I go for egg parantha.
I don't know why but in the mountains, you always find ande (eggs) paranthe.
and..yeah I always take masala chai with them. And I eat paranthe anywhere. It's one of my favorite foods in India.
You know, every morning if I can have paranthe for breakfast, I'll be a really really happy guy.
I know my foreign friends will be quite worried about eating in small places like these
but in fact, they're really clean. They're cleaner than restaurants in big cities actually.
Because these are local people cooking for you. They're not going to serve you dirty food.
They're not going to eat dirty food themselves. They care about their customers.
These aren't massive restaurants where you have so many staff and it's really easy for a staff member to
to just not care about what they're doing and their job and cleanliness.
But these people, in villages and in these small places, they do care about hygiene.
This is an alcohol store, a "theka", right behind where I just had lunch.
It's got to be the alcohol store in India with the most beautiful location.
We're a long way from Manali now and this is the last petrol station before you get to Leh.
There's no petrol for the next 365 kilometres. So it depends on what car or what bike you're taking.
But usually you're going to have to carry spare petrol. So we're here to fill up a tank of petrol.
And to fill up our jerry cans as well. And this next part of the journey is the hardest part
but the most beautiful part of the ride. We're going to have to go over three massive mountain passes
They're the biggest in the world. We're gonna have to go over more water crossings.
We're gonna have to go on terrible roads and there's just not a lot of people that come this way.
Look at this VIP I found.
Biker: We're from Kerala. Karl: You're from Kerala. Okay, sorry.
Karl: How do you know Hindi then? Biker: Yeah, we know Hindi also. Biker 2: How do you speak Hindi?
Biker 2: We're also Hindustani. Karl: Like you. Good to meet you.
Karl: You guys going to Bara Lacha pass? Biker 2: Yeah, we went all the way up to Khardung La.
Karl: Wow, Khardung La as well. Wow, epic. How was it? Biker 2: Oh, lovely!
Karl: Cool. And you guys are all on Himalayans na? Biker 2: Yes, yes, yes. We all are on Himalayan.
Karl: That's the best bike for this na? Biker 2: Yes, yes. Where are you from?
Karl: I'm from New Zealand. Biker 2: Oh, great!
Biker 2: I'm very impressed with your Hindi huh.
The sheep's following his friend. How cute! Oh, catch up little sheep. Catch up little sheep.
Let me show you guys a small water crossing.
Hi! Yeah!

S01 E14 Bezinnen op stilteplekken, dl 4: Voorbij de vormen ontdek je de sacrale kracht van de plek. - Duration: 8:52.For years now, I'm on a quest
following the old paths, ways that lead to
sacred places,
places which have been revered
by many generations
where you feel something special in the air,
as people come together at those places.
Not only churches or chapels
of the last centuries, but also those ancient
places where megaliths are to be found,
the old stones, the menhirs and dolmens,
those 'stone tables'.
On my quest I travelled my own country,
but also foreign places like France,
the British Isles, Spain.
Those megaliths are everywhere on
the European continent.
What did I look for, when walking those
ancient paths for years, where our ancestors
walked as well, what did I discover?
Well, I was looking for traces of their
experience of the sacred, the mysticism of
Nature, of the tangible and non-tangible,
how our ancestors brought together the worlds
of the visible and invisible in
their own experience.
Did I have any guidelines or map to walk
those paths?
Well, I had a guide, more than one,
and I had books. Those books have been
written by people who walked and
explored these paths before me.
Why do people explore those paths?
What did I want to find? Perhaps I wanted to
receive enlightenment at a specific place,
well, that's a bit exaggerated, but I do
think that I hoped to have a special
spiritual experience, a kind of unveiling of
what I felt intuitively at those places,
but which I could not make tangible
or visible.
Did I find that experience?
No, not in that way.
Nonetheless, being at those places
was meaningful.
Discovering the Divine Peace inside
of yourself. Is that peace only to be found
in chapels? Of course not!
If you are ready to look beyond
the bricks and stones and forms,
you arrive at the power of the place itself.
Look, this is a typical chapel, very close
to my home. What's special about this place:
at the rear of the chapel there lies
a menhir, a megalith, the remains of
a stone circle. It's one of the few which
have been conserved, as the church removed
a lot of them and built on top of
those places a church or a chapel.
This place really is particular:
here the sacred feminine power of the Earth
has been intensively revered. This chapel
continues this veneration: it's the chapel
of our Lady of the Stone.
What does this stone tell us today?
Well, it's not clear to me, but what is
clear, as it's very visible: people come
to this stone in our present times, not
inspired by the Catholic faith, but perhaps
by the same heart's desire of wanting to
connect with the intangible.
Placed upon the stone, there's a geometrical
pattern of a circle, with small stones and
a crystal in the middle. By doing so, someone
has communicated with the place, someone
had an exchange. In that way a special
connection has been made, capturing in
form the intangible and unnamable.
That's also a way of praying.
Recently someone who is also walking the
old paths, told me a story about how she
was attracted to a specific church, which
she visited. When she arrived at the church,
the gate was locked, but at the same time
a person brought the key of the gate.
For her, that was the sign to show her
she really had to be there.
When I asked her "what did you receive
from that visit?", she answered she was not sure,
as she only followed her intuition.
My question and her answer made me think.
What did my quest give to me? No idea!
What did I receive? The question itself
shows an old conditioned way of thinking:
what is the gain? What is the profit when
I act in a certain way?
Perhaps it's not about receiving, but about
giving something, by being present at
that sacred, holy place, with an open mind
and an open heart. Perhaps it's by
giving, in a pure and complete way, that you
can receive. Probably it's something
reciprocal: giving, opening and then
receiving.
That's what reflecting is about, mirroring :
noticing on the outside of things
your internal experiences
and reflecting what's inside of you to the
outside world.
In that way you give something to the place,
and the place offers you something in return.
Isn't it meaningful to continue honoring
these ancient places, to continue cleaning
them, to continue adding some prayers
and light?
Knowing that these places are the mirror
of our interior, of our inner temple.
In the sequel of this video I invite you
to join me further on my quest in
understanding the meaning of these sacred
places, and why I continue this quest for
several years now.
Eventually, what does this quest bring me?
Perhaps you recognise something in my story,
perhaps these places speak to you as well,
perhaps you want to share your thoughts.
Do write down your comments,
I'm so grateful meeting you there.
Thank you for watching.
