What You're Worth to God - Duration: 1:20.

- I was reading the Word one morning

and it says Jesus washes His bride

in the washing of water with the Word.

I read that scripture

and immediately I saw myself as a filthy bride.

Filthy.

And the Lord was going over to a vase of water

and He was putting His hands in this water

and very gently coming and just releasing it over my head.

And what I realized was, He had been doing this

since the day I got saved.

Did you know that when you got saved,

God knew you were not a short project?

(audience laughing)

How precious Jesus is.

You know, when they restore a masterpiece,

like been through a fire, they use a Q-tip?

And they go months at a time

and all they're trying to do is

to get the smut and stuff off

of the painting without touching any of the paint.

And they'll sit.

I'm too ADD.

I would take a paint scraper after it.

But did you know that that's what God has been doing to you

because you're so precious?

I could see how Jesus was not trying to scrub me down

but for all the years since I have been saved,

He was just taking His Word

and just gently washing me with it.

Luffy & Zoro VS Hawkins & Samurais - One Piece Chapter 913 Review - Duration: 6:59.

"If you are on vacation here I would advise you to leave."

Do people in the One Piece World go on vacation?!

I like his sense of humor.

But this made me think how would the commercial of tourism be for the islands under the Yonkos.

Maybe they would be something like this: If you want to see incredible and unique places

with unbelievable creatures and things then come to these places.

You will experience death like you never had imagined.

Anyway, Hawkins says to Luffy and Zoro do you know who controls this country?

Zoro says I don't know.

Zoro is smarter than he looks.

Luffy says it is Kaido right?

The funny part here isn't that Luffy did answer the question of his enemy.

But that he is asking him for confirmation.

It is Kaido, right?

This is not some game show Luffy.

You don't get any reward.

Anyway, he tries to take it back what he said by saying I was lying.

And now I am going to take back my praise for him about improving his lying skills.

Luffy did lie to Otama a couple of chapters ago, he said I am fully now I don't need

to eat anymore.

Otama said to him you are a bad lier, well I wish she was conscious to see this lie.

Well if she was conscious she would probably faint again considering how bad this lie was.

This is very interesting, Luffy is a pirate who cannot lie.

Maybe that should be his nickname.

He should learn a thing or two from the King of the Pirates, Blackbeard.

Anyway, Hawkins said: "The probability of you being alive at the end of this month is

19%".

There are two things in this sentence that are very important.

Month and 19%.

Since he said at the end of the month.

Does this mean that the Wano Arc will be a very long arc and many days will pass?

Even though the Dressrosa Arc is the longest arc in One Piece, the whole thing was only

one day long in the One Piece World.

So, this is very important because this would explain why Luffy fond Zoro so fast and at

the end of the chapter the Heart Pirates did find Luffy and Zoro.

So the reason why things are moving at this pace is due to this arc having multiple storylines.

And the other thing was Hawkins saying you have only 19% chance of being alive at the

end of the month.

Well, Law said that our chances of defeating Kaido are 30%.

So, who I am going to trust here?!

A guy who is riding an elk?

Or a doctor?!

Well, logic dictates to trust a doctor… but since we still don't know what is the

secret behind his cards.

I will take for now his word.

Sorry Law.

Luffy draws his sword and Zoro did notice that the sword is not a regular sword.

He said I am sensing an aura from this sword.

Now the whole thing about Luffy and the sword was pretty funny to the point that I am doubting

if Luffy really did say that line to his enemies or the translator took some liberties.

"Come at me you bastards".

I hope he did say it because it is very funny, but it looks like a meme.

And by the way, when Luffy is charging with the sword, he looks so goofy.

This shows you that he never did use a sword.

And to make things even more clear, he throws the sheath.

Yeah, because why would you need that after the battle is over.

But just look at Zoro's reaction, he lost it.

Maybe this is the first time he saw someone doing that.

But Zoro was wrong, Luffy knows how to use a sword… but not in a normal way, at least

not for what they are made for.

But come to think about this, it was very smart of Luffy because he brought a gun to

a sword fight.

Now he is acting more like a pirate.

Anyway, the lizard tries to bite Luffy but he grabs the lizard and throws him.

And Hawkins shows his powers, so, he can make a sword out of straws.

So, his devil fruit is paramecia, I thought based on what we have seen him do his devil

fruit was a rare zoan type.

Like Sengoku's or Marco's devil fruit but no it is a paramecia type.

Which by the way it is very impressive the way he is using his devil fruit power.

Besides creating a sword with straws he also can create that huge creature, that creature

looks amazing, that panel was epic seeing him against Luffy and Zoro.

When Hawkins did kill that Lizard Luffy said: "it was my fault that the lizard got killed."

And he was looking sad.

And this did surprise me, why does Luffy care, so I went back to see his fight with the lizard

and if you look at the Lizard's face.

The lizard was having fun with Luffy.

And that's why Luffy felt bad about him.

In this battle Hawkins was not the only one who did kill, Zoro did kill as well, but the

difference is that Zoro did kill a human.

This was interesting to see because the Straw Hats do not kill people.

We know the reason why Hawkins did not die from that attack because it was explained

in that fight against Kizaru.

But in that fight, he did not use his men to save his life, he did use random people.

So, this means that the people with him are not his crew.

Did Kaido kill his crew?

Or he is keeping them as prisoners in order to be sure that Hawkins will not betray him.

We did learn a lot of things in this chapter about Hawkins, except for one, what is the

deal with his cards?

Is this some kind of new power or they are supernatural.

Either way, it is, this power seems very interesting.

Then the dog interferes and grabs Luffy and Zoro and starts to run away.

It seems that he is the only that did remember that Otama needs medical attention.

I said earlier that the way Hawkins is using his devil fruit is very impressive but there

is one thing that looks weird.

When that creature was slashed by Zoro, Hawkins took the damage as well.

So, that creature is not his creation but it is an extension of his body because otherwise

why would he take the damage as well.

But the weird part here is that there is no physical connection between him and that creature!

So, how was Zoro's attack affecting his body as well?

The only explanation here, it is his cards.

He is using his devil fruit power together with the cards.

Anyway, Luffy and Zoro did manage to get away from Hawkins and the woman that Zoro did save

in the previous chapter is with them.

I said in the previous video that she will play a role.

So, she is the owner of a tea shop and she knows Otama.

And said that she can help her, which is great.

And then we meet O-kiku, and this made me laugh.

O-tsuru looks weird while O-Kiku is very beautiful.

With Oda it's always one of the other, there is no middle ground.

Anyway, on the last panel, we see the Heart Pirates.

Things are moving fast in this arc, it seems like all will get together in a very short

period of time.

Anyway, what did you guys think about this chapter?

Let me know in the comments.

How online video sensation Shonduras reinvents himself regularly to stay successful - Duration: 6:33.

PAUL: And so begins an explosive YouTube video by Shonduras, real name Shaun McBride, millennial

celebrity and entrepreneur.

Shonduras, whose Mormon mission to Honduras at age 19 inspired his online handle "Shonduras,"

boasts a million-and-a-half followers worldwide and is a pioneer content creator in a new

industry, with stunts like refrigerator-skiing.

SHONDURAS: I wanted to be a professional skateboarder, snowboarder.

Grew up doing all that crazy stuff and it's so much fun.

But eventually it's like have you ever tried to like skateboard down a handrail.

Bad idea.

Don't ever try it.

Scary stuff.

SHONDURAS: We're shredding the suitcase.

MAN: Oh!

SHONDURAS: Skateboard wheels on the bottom?

PAUL: At age 26, McBride stopped messing with fate and migrated his skills, audacity and

ambition to the world wide web.

SHONDURAS: So I was like, I'm not going to be a professional skateboarder.

But I did latch on to social media.

PAUL: And social media are becoming America's fastest-growing media industry, threatening

to dwarf print, radio and now even television.

Shonduras made himself into a star by posting goofy videos, first on the online portal Snapchat.

For example, his, "Day in the wild."

SHONDURAS: Welcome everybody to the first Shonduras first wild.

I need to stay alive for 24 hours using nothing but a cell phone and a battery pack.

PAUL: On Snapchat, users share messages and photos that you can only watch once.

Antics from McBride's daily life - here he's found a stone in the wild to trim his

locks - proved so popular they earned him, over 5 years, 1.5 million followers.

Looking to reach them, brands came calling: Disney, Red Bull, Taco Bell.

SHONDURAS: Alright, adventure has started.

We are walking into the city.

We have no money, wallets, keys, cell phones - except for this one - and we have to get

as far as we can today.

All we have are lots of cans of Red Bulls, three backpacks full and we need your guy's

help.

We'll hook you up with free cans…

PAUL: Free cans of Red Bull in exchange for a getting a ride, or food, or used bicycles

from his followers.

SHONDURAS: That was such a crazy day and now I have a surprise.

Guess where we got the idea?

So it's a real adventure that Red Bull is doing, exact same rules except you have to

make it through all of Europe.

SHONDURAS: My goal was to not try and sell anything to my Snapchat friends but rather

tell the brand's story in a creative and engaging way...

SHONDURAS: So on Snapchat I was like, we're doing a Doritos challenge.

What should we do?

And a couple people said, "Snowboard inside your house."

I was like, 'Hey that's a cool idea.'

PAUL: After his Snapchat success, Shonduras decided he'd migrate to YouTube, where content

does not vanish and advertisers and sponsors pay more.

He started a vlog - a "video log" - on which he's posted nearly every single day

since November 9, 2015.

SHONDURAS: I called them "Best Days Ever," and every day I fill my life, and I challenged

myself to do one thing every day that was just amazing that made it the best day ever.

PAUL: Such as?

SHONDURAS: I have a two year old daughter, so we do a lot of fun stuff with her.

We'll make a giant balloon pit in her room, or whatever it is, do a cake decorating challenge

or something.

PAUL: Perhaps the best thing about Best Day Ever: a 1.2 million-subscriber chunk of the

flighty youth market.

Best day number 73, for example, drew more than 4 million views.

Homemade Lava Lamp.

SHONDURAS: Best day ever.

We just destroyed lava lamp, with what's inside - look at this guy...

PAUL: That's millions of young consumer eyeballs that aren't busy reading these

days, or even watching much TV.

The coveted under 35 demographic, which can be habituated to a brand for life, is the

key to media ad revenue.

But the world of online video can be touch and go.

So when Shonduras noticed his viewer count declining, he placed his latest bet online

bet: eSports.

CASTER: Noel trying to pace things out, but the consistency of damage from Cosolix.

Big punish by Noel!

PAUL: Yes, eSports.

Growing at 40+ percent a year, eSports are set to gross nearly a billion dollars by the

end of 2018.

Trying to get in early, Shonduras bankrolled the Spacestation Gaming eSports team.

As a newbie eSports team owner, McBride was at DreamHack in Austin, Texas in early June,

where some of the world's top pro gaming teams squared off.

Spacestation Gaming had multiple teams competing in various esports with paid players.

SHONDURAS: Let's go baby!

Let's go!

Yo you guys like that?

That was a good showing right there.

Dude Noel is my boy.

Can we get some Noels in the chat?

Give me some Noels in the chat, let's go.

CASTER: That's it and Noel takes game number three.

PAUL: Noel Rosario, a budding star with Shonduras' team, competes in Brawlhalla, where cartoon

characters of legend - gaming legend - clash to remain, or clamber back, a floating platform

in a wide variety of moves, counter moves, feints and strategies.

But for Shonduras, the point is that success draws eyeballs, for which advertisers pay.

At age 31, he's already made enough money online to create the eSports team and pay

players, trying to extend his digital business model.

SHONDURAS: It's not based on ticket sales, or selling merch and t-shirts.

It's based off of brand partnerships and advertising, and my social media can reach as many people

as the Ellen show in a week.

So I can, if a brand wants to tell their story or share their product, I can do the same

thing as them as making a commercial with MTV.

MAN: This is going to be the ultimate gaming setup

MAN: Hot Tub Gaming

MAN: What is it, Xbox probably…

MAN: Xbox, play some Rocket League.

We're going to do this for Shaun.

PAUL: Now you may not subscribe to Snapchat or a YouTube channel, may never play eSports,

but hey, millions and millions have, if not necessarily in a hot tub.

And more and more young folks are doing so every day, watching the likes of Shonduras

instead of Ellen.

For the venerable PBS NewsHour, this is equally venerable Economics Correspondent Paul Solman,

reporting from a convocation of Gen Y and Z-ers -- at DreamHack, in Austin Texas.

The Moon May Have Once Been Habitable! | SciShow News - Duration: 5:13.

[ ♪ Intro ]

Over the last few decades, we've found evidence that various places in the solar system,

like Mars or Saturn's moon Enceladus, could be or could have once been habitable.

But life on our Moon is a different story.

The Moon is a generally dry, irradiated wasteland, and it has been for billions of years.

Of course nothing's absolutely sure in science,

but we're as confident as can be that today's Moon is lifeless.

But a new paper published online last week in the journal Astrobiology says

that it might not have always been that way.

For a cosmic blink of an eye, just as life here was starting,

it also could have survived on the Moon.

The problem with living on the Moon is that there are lots of problems.

Depending on the temperature, any liquid water immediately either freezes or boils away to interplanetary space,

because there's effectively no atmosphere to keep liquids, liquid.

And speaking of the temperature, days can be up to 127°C, while nights are about 300° colder.

No atmosphere or magnetic field also means there's nothing to block destructive solar radiation

from raining down on the surface.

There are some impressively hearty microbes, to be sure, but the Moon is a thoroughly difficult place to live.

It probably wasn't always like this, though.

By collecting research from a huge range of disciplines, a pair of astrobiologists found

that we've developed a picture of the very early Moon that, at times, seems downright habitable.

The first time was when the Moon formed about four and a half billion years ago.

As its rocks coalesced, they released huge amounts of heat and trapped gases.

The second time was around half a billion years later,

when another burst of lunar volcanic activity released more heat and gas.

Both times, the gases could have stuck around for tens of millions of years,

possibly forming an atmosphere thicker than the one around Mars today

and allowing for liquid water on the surface.

And the Moon had a magnetic field back then, too, caused by moving molten rock deep beneath the surface,

which would have helped block some of the most dangerous incoming radiation.

The paper's authors also point out that all this was happening just as

life was gaining a foothold down here on Earth.

And even if scientists are right that the Moon's improved conditions wouldn't have lasted for very long,

we already know that life here didn't take long to get going.

Some microbes could have even been blasted off Earth by asteroid impacts,

only to land on the Moon and start things up there.

Or the other way around.

Of course, this isn't proof that there was ever life on the Moon;

but it certainly does give us a new view of our sweet little satelite.

Thankfully, life on Earth is much more stable.

And a lot of that is because the Sun is usually pretty chill.

I mean, there's the occasional solar storm, but most days, the Sun just sort of sits there,

warming your face and maintaining life.

Except, it hasn't always been so peaceful.

In this week's issue of Nature Astronomy, scientists studying some of the oldest rocks

in the solar system report that when it was young, the Sun acted out a lot more.

Which, didn't we all?

It's hard to find physical records from the very early solar system,

because there wasn't really anything here yet.

So these days, a lot of our knowledge comes from a combination of well-tested models,

observations of young stars, and more indirect evidence like the locations of planets.

We can also study tiny, ancient grains of rock buried within meteorites,

but learning their secrets can be tricky business.

For example, it can be hard to tell if elements in the grains have been there for billions of years,

or if they formed through more recent radioactive decay.

Together those methods do a fantastic job teaching us about our early environment.

But scientists always want to get closer to the source.

And this week, a team of physicists reported that by studying gases trapped within ancient

minerals, they've found direct evidence of some of the Sun's earliest temper tantrums.

Or, as they're called in the paper,

"a phase of intense irradiation not recorded by minerals that formed later."

Whichever works.

The team studied a type of deposit known as CAIs, short for calcium-aluminum-rich inclusions,

which are found in all sorts of meteorites.

Specifically, they focused on those found inside a meteorite that fell on Australia in 1969.

That sample was full of hibonite crystals, a type of mineral,

and likely formed more than 4.5 billion years ago.

The CAIs are less than a tenth of a millimeter across, but those tiny grains were some of

the first things to form in our solar system.

And they're great records of our star's activity.

When the newly formed Sun gave off bursts of high-energy particles like protons, some

protons would crash into atoms in the CAIs and break them into smaller pieces, stuff

like helium and neon.

And by studying those elements trapped in the rock, we can get a clearer picture of

what the Sun was up to.

But that still happens today, so just measuring helium and neon wasn't enough to learn something

about the young Sun.

So instead, the team had to compare the CAIs to the rest of the meteorite, which was younger

rock, to get an idea of what happened when.

And once they did, they could confidently say that the Sun was much more actively releasing

particles early in its life.

This pretty much matches what those other methods have taught us about stellar evolution:

Young stars are active and belchy, then they bit more. get older, maybe get a job, settle down a bit more.

But this is the first time we've seen direct evidence of that early activity using such ancient rocks.

And it gives us one more way of understanding how we all got here in the first place.

It's a good thing the Sun settled down, though, because it makes life on Earth a whole lot easier.

And hey, maybe it helped the Moon out once or twice, too.

My guest tonight is a Grammy-nominated

singer-songwriter who has written hits

for Macklemore, Rihanna, Beyoncé,

and just wrapped a festival tour with Eminem.

Please welcome Skylar Grey.

(cheers and applause)

-Welcome to the show. -Thank you.

And congratulations coming off the successful tour with Eminem.

Is Eminem one of those people who is, like, super, like,

hard-core whenever we see him, but then he's-he's just like

a softy and a sweetheart in real life?

-Kinda, yeah. -Yeah?

He's really fun.

I feel like Eminem's, like, in the booth, and he's like,

(mimics rapping)

and then he comes out and he's like, "Hi."

He's, like, he's one of the funniest people I've ever met.

You always dreamed of working with Eminem,

which is, which is-- what I find amazing about your story

is you talk about how you were first introduced to the idea

of maybe, like, singing on an Eminem song

when "Stan" came out.

Yeah, I heard that song when I was, like, 13,

and it was kind of my first experience loving hip-hop.

And then it kind of-- I deep down had this dream

of wanting to work with rappers even though I was a folk singer.

So it was a little odd.

But, then, I ended up working with him, so...

-How does that story begin? -Total dream come true.

Let's go, let's go to the beginning.

So you get into folk singing,

-and this is-- is this a family thing, -Yeah.

or is this just the music you...?

My mom and I had a folk duo,

and I started performing with her when I was six years old.

And then I went solo when I was 14.

She wasn't too happy about that.

Mom, I am leaving you,

but I still need you to drop me at all my gigs.

Exactly, exactly.

And then I moved to L.A. when I was 17, got a record deal.

Things fell apart, I went broke.

And I left L.A. for a while.

And I had a bad taste in my mouth

about the music industry in general.

And out in the woods in Oregon, I fell back in love with music

and decided I had to figure out a way to make a living at it,

-'cause I wasn't good at anything else. -Right.

I was a high school dropout,

and all the jobs I tried I sucked at.

So I was like, music has to work.

And so I reached out to my publisher,

and I was like, how can we do this?

And she had just signed a guy named Alex da Kid, a producer,

and she connected us on e-mail,

and that's how "Love the Way You Lie" happened.

It was, like, the first song

after this soul-searching experience.

Now that you've worked in hip-hop,

is that like, is that where you see your home now?

Is that something that we could, we could see is, like,

a folk hip-hop new genre that comes to light?

Um, no, you know, I've had so much fun working in hip-hop,

and working with rappers, and I'll continue to do that,

I think, forever, but I think what my forte is

is just sitting at a piano or a guitar and playing a great song.

And so, um, that's what I'm gonna do with my solo stuff.

If you were to meet someone in your position

who is starting out, and they say to you,

"Hey, Skylar, this is what I want to do,

these are my dreams, this is where I want to get to."

How do you tell somebody the story and then tell them to,

like, power through the failure part?

Because how did you know

that you would make it out on the other side?

'Cause, you might say to someone

-just keep doing it. -Man...

For a minute, I thought I wasn't gonna do music anymore.

But it's in my blood and I can't get away from it.

So what do you tell people? Do you go like,

-"Hey, you're gonna fail a lot." -Yeah.

You just have to be able to deal with rejection on a daily.

And then once in a while, something great will happen.

-I like that. -And that has to, you know,

keep you going through the rest of it.

It's like an inspirational but very realistic speech

that you give to-- "You're gonna fail, kid."

-Well, and also... -(laughter)

Also, you just have to love what you do

and not focus on the accolades

and, um, the success of a song.

-Focus on having a great time making the song. -Right.

And then you're gonna be happy no matter what.

Do you think that was one of the issues with going out to L.A.?

Because, you know, as an artist, you-you go out to Los Angeles,

and then-- Because it's such an industry place,

you can get stuck in that world of what does the industry think,

what do people think of you as an artist.

And then you go to Oregon and you just--

like you said, you're in the woods.

So it's like, the animals, they're just like,

"Yeah, we don't listen to music."

-Is-is that-- is that what you're gonna do now? -Exactly.

-Is that-- Are you gonna find a way to keep-- -No, I was talking

to myself in the woods.

I was my only-- Seriously,

I was my only feedback.

So, it was-- I was my only opinion out there,

-which-- -Did you-- 'Cause now I'm-- now I'm picturing you

as, like, one of those Disney princesses

who, like, sing to the animals

and then they-they, like, stick their heads out

and you're like... (high-pitched singing)

And then the animals are like,

"Yeah, that was, uh-- that was pretty good.

-That was pretty good." -(sighs)

I think I definitely had some Snow White moments

-like that. Yeah. -Yeah? Yeah?

So, looking at your career now--

because, I mean, now you're just on the up.

I mean, like, to have Beyoncé and Eminem

singing your hooks and singing your songs,

songs that you've written, to-to have so much success,

do you now struggle with that balance

between going back to a place like L.A.?

Or-or do you go, like, "No, I am-- I am an Oregon person.

-I am in the woods forever--" -I live in Napa Valley now.

-I like with my fiancé on an amazing ranch. -Oh!

-Yeah. -So, do you have animals?

-Yeah, we have sheep. -The same ones from the woods?

Oh, there's-there's lots of wild animals.

Oh. I thought you, like, brought them.

You're like, "Yo, you guys were here from the beginning,

and I got to take y'all with me."

And then they all got in the car.

Like, "Yeah, road trip!"

And you guys went out-- That would have been, like,

-an amazing story. -Yeah.

(applause)

-Oh, my God. -So...

so, what are you looking forward to now?

I'm looking forward to creating my own,

you know, sound and-and music for the world to hear

-outside of the rapping collaborations. -Right. Uh-huh.

You should get them to collaborate on yours.

So now we need Eminem coming in and doing the hook

-on your album. -I have done that

-on some-some stuff. -Oh, you have?

Yeah. I have done that.

-But singing? -On previous albums.

-Um... -No, I'm-- no, I'm saying Eminem should come and sing.

Oh! And I should rap?

Yeah. You should just, like, flip the genre.

-That would be interesting. -I'm just saying,

it would be mind-blowing.

If Eminem comes in and then he's like...

♪ I walk on water. ♪

I'll ask him about it.

You ask him.

But don't tell him I said that.

EA Apologizes for Removing Colin Kaepernick's Name From 'Madden' Soundtrack - Duration: 1:25.

What's up, guys?

Frazier here for Complex News.

EA sports went through a PR nightmare after they decided to censor the portion of Big

Sean's verse on YG's track "Big Bank" that mentions Colin Kaepernick on Madden NFL

19.

The bleeping out of Kaepernick's name, unsurprisingly, didn't sit well with many, including Big

Sean and YG.

Both artists took to social media to express their disappointment with the decision and

to say they had nothing to do with it.

"On my daughter.

They ain't run that by me.

That's kold"

"It's disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7's name out of my

verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word.

When he's not a curse, he's a gift!

Nobody from my team approved any of this."

Shortly after the backlash had thoroughly circulated throughout social media, EA provided

Complex with a statement saying that it was all big misunderstanding.

"We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack.

Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don't have rights to include

Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn't affect soundtracks.

We messed up, and the edit should never have happened.

We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference

again.

We meant no disrespect, and we apologize to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to

all of their fans and our players for this mistake."

Interestingly, it's not the first time Kaepernick's name was edited out Madden.

His name was also cut out in Madden NFL 18 on the Mike Will Made-It track "Bars of

Soap" featuring Swae Lee.

this time on the paddock

what's the goal for today don't hit us finish the race

Farley's weird but awesome can you say weird and awesome in the

same sentence and say that it's like it's all good

like we're in Portland school I like you get used to this place fact that you

have a track in a downtown area with public transit to it in such a cool town

like Portland there's those fans rolling in all over the West good evening from

Portland International Raceway here in beautiful Oregon it's our first West

Coast race of the year we spent the entire day today Thursday for a media

day just giving VIPs and some media guests rides around the track in our GTI

TRS got some pretty good reaction

want to do it again

it'll slam on the brakes of around the corner' it's so much fun and then we

also did a track walk

now this track kind of suits my driving style it's definitely a track that suits

not over driving the car and keeping the tires underneath you

varying grip levels varying curve Heights and curve bumpiness its

technical in some places and not very technical in others and it's pretty

simple varying with subtract it's a very diverse track I feel like both Michael

and I have a good feel for the track really the impression is is that this

place it is really wide in some spots and really narrow and others are just

going to be really interesting you're in the races when you have traffic

when action begins we have qualifying the traditional schedule Saturday race

Sunday race so really excited to be here and we're excited to see our partners

it's your 3k motorsport come down and

good morning people International Raceway today is the

start of the weekend and the racing Jaime is false grid here disclosed away

from the first practice session of the day the first one is going to go right

into the second one we have a big break in the afternoon in qualifying it's

later on tonight right around 650 in the evening we are excited to be here as

always and looking forward to see what we can do this weekend

is that Kota as I was able to keep the tires underneath me and that towards the

end of the race I was able to charge I think the same thing might happen here

he said get some fast lap I think the cars would do well I think the setup

will do well so regarding he it's supposed to be I mean we're supposed to

qualify at 6:30 this evening and it's probably going to be somewhere around

the 95 to 96 degrees

I've seen your tires going on the car so my strategy is to go out and do an easy

warm-up lap second lap will be pushing it but maybe like 8/10 but just to just

to stay smooth and then the third fourth and fifth lap just attack see what kind

of time we can get out of their car and then probably call it a day because

I think that's all the cars gonna have it's only a 50-minute session which is

good but it also uses more pressure for that 15 minutes qualifier he was already

the car felt better first time all weekend got to like sticker tires and

learned a couple things in the back straightaway the 5th gear corner that

4th gear corner like was this morning cherry Lumpur skated with sticker tires

trying to move out quick early and I think I put too much heat and tires too

early 5

traffic tires that was it we were only gonna run five

laps I put me every p9 which is a good place to start from and I stuck to our

strategy five laps out came back in let the car sit you know the strategy is

what makes us listening work and we're gonna do

good get a good rate confer tomorrow and smart ooh

Sun setting behind me which marks an end the fall time here guys is the best that

they could had a good strategy which was conserving the tires for tomorrow's race

so became seventh and ninth Mike will start in front of Nate tomorrow and give

it a shot fingers crossed we're always learning

Lowe is improving that's racing

good morning from Portland International Raceway today is Saturday race day

behind me over there is our booth with our partners liqui moly sacks

performance and zero through four motorsport we are giving out a ton of

free swag t-shirts hats sunglasses wearing right here everything that you

could need on a Sunday race day we're giving it away for free

Stephanie's schedule is a race in the afternoon right on two o'clock but it's

super cool to have our partners from zero motorsport here for our base in

California they actually brought up their project out es4 and it's super

cool to have that year with all of their parts on tap troy representing the brand

and actually talking to people face to face and showing them what the parts do

how much better they are from the stock components and how they can actually get

them and put them on their card themselves

we really value our our strategic partnership with great dealers and with

ftp euros one of favorite relationships hi I'm Troy psycho with a zero 3/4 voter

support this last year has been really exciting because we launched into this

partnership into the trollee world challenge and we're honored to be

co-sponsor you know having having a booth here is great we've put out all

about you know our displays and 0-3 for motorsport and sax performance and a

little Molly but having actual folks from 0 3 4 in from Lucca Molly to talk

to hassle about their products and see outside of the fans are about their

products is you know really big boost for us and you know it's in our DNA

Racing is in our DNA I mean they get the enthusiasts and and it really shows you

know it really shows when when Troy shows up with a awesome you know how ds4

sticks our stickers on to stick some of their stickers on a park sat next door

at 10 wiping it down people are asking questions

I can't believe honestly I'd say 80% of the people who talked to have been

European hearts a lot of European cars is that that's why so I think it really

paid off and shows that we've made a good decision and who we partner with

and then of course supporting the racing team as well you know we we want to be

here for moral support and to root them on anytime we can get

out here and get in front of our fans and customers on the west coast we

relish that opportunity

so one of the coolest parts about the weekend is the vintage glass being able

to see these guys throw it out all on track

make some models from all different years it's just amazing they speak for

themselves sauce

pthey are TPA cars were under three minutes under three albums here we are

moments before the start of Saturday's race let's hope that our strategy plays

off with tires and let's hope that the guys have a clean race safety heart

dispatch now please dispatch now

remember

I've got a really good start past a couple people running

and then from there you know had the see country cards in front of me and then I

believe the fourth lap in carried a little bit more speed broke 175 feet

further now supposed to went off through the dirt at 100 miles an hour which is

always fun but I had enough of a gap that was able to go back on the track

and at that point I just realized a gap to the back I just need to manage that

gap and and I want to finish where I finished I had Phillippi in front of me

and then Michael in front of him and we were just chasing each other down for

the rest of the race Mayson Philippi was behind me you know giving me good

pressure but halfway through a race is so hot you know I was hoping it's gonna

be over a little bit sooner but I got a call on the radio about 21 minutes

remain I mean I've talked myself into staying cool you know finish sixth and

then with a penalty of fast not at the end the drive-through penalty got moved

up to fifth if we look at it and split the group into the cars that are equal

with a DSG gearbox the cars are we really finished 1st and 3rd right now

we're running the fastest of the group that we're in and I think Michael and I

both raised a really really good race we were clean we are I mean our lap times

speak for themselves I mean they're within a couple tenths every single lap

we just we ran the cars as fast as these cars could run consistently and as a

race driver that's what you really look for hey you still have really good

consistent lap times just keep that going that's really really good

all right here we are pío our race - should it be a standing

start today you just hope to see guys run consistent

laps they clean like you did yesterday

so the Honda and the Honda are running 95% power math they maybe will be 15

seconds off the pace you know from what we're doing yesterday but you never know

yesterday there's no yellows and so that really spread out the field

but good luck to the guys here we go

five minutes - five minutes

Brodie over here

you're a little quick enough silly fear having you just keep doing what you're

doing and being accurate I mean you can't feel my heartbeat but it is

pounding through my chest right now there are roughly 11 minutes left in the

race at this point we are running our best race of the season by far

Michael and Nate are racing each other

so that was a really tough race I had Mason breathing on my neck the whole

time was able to keep the pace but they were closed every single time we got a

little bit of a dig in the back bumper trying to mind the gap and I will drive

apart and not give me a chance to be there absolutely incredible amazing job

by both my core me the whole crew this is the best finish we've had all year so

so so proud of these guys really awesome crossing the finish line staggered

literally that marks the end of our pedo PC

weekend here at pol International Raceway Valley and I'm finished with

different crowd were super happy with how we did but the next time these cars

will be on track is that Utah literally all of this stuff is going straight from

court words to you until then at Sierra Motorsports sign now keep it real

Portland stay weird for on

If Halo Infinite Does Battle Royale... - Duration: 11:02.

What's up everybody? This is The Act Man here and today I wanted to talk about BATTLE

ROYALE in Halo! Now obviously the Battle Royale craze has

taken root in the same vain that rhythm games started to dominate the industry back in 2007.

Everyone seems to be trying to capitalize on this new fad, some succeed, others fail

miserably. "Hahahahaha!!"

Because truth be told, nobody has any idea how long this fad is going to last. How many

rhythm games are being produced nowadays? Anyone? Anyone got an answer? ZERO!

But time will tell if Battle Royale dies out like rhythm games. One thing that's interesting

is the idea of a Battle Royale mode in Halo, specifically the newest game that was announced,

Halo Infinite. You might think because I'm not really into Battle Royale games that I'm

just gonna shit all over this idea, but no I see potential for great success and humiliating

failure. Alright so what will we discuss in this video?

Well a couple articles that give us some facts, interesting points, we'll talk about what

we know, what we've heard, some rumors, and of course we'll play around with the

ideas in our head. I'll also show off some NEATO Halo 5 gameplay cuz man haven't done

that in a while and I need a cool topic to just talk about after spending 3 weeks on

that Dark Souls video. I just need to chill, man.

So when PUBG took the world by storm and Fortnite followed suit, we heard a bunch of rumors

here and there about all sorts of game series adapting a Battlegrounds style game mode and

Halo was one of those series. But the first thing we heard about Battle Royale and Halo

colliding was an April Fool's Joke on the r/halo subreddit, which was pretty goddamn

funny. Now it doesn't indicate much but these things start small, you know… Maybe

it was foreshadowing something. Then we had the Halo Infinite announcement

trailer itself which certainly showed us a landscape big enough to be the location of

a battle royale mode, but more importantly was Grim Brother One addressing this question

in a fairly informal livestream. When asked about Battle Royale coming to Halo he said,

"I'll tell you right now, the only BR we're interested in is Battle Rifle. The

original BR. So, calm yourself."

Damn dude, handled that like a boss. So you could take this as gospel and praise he who

deliver thine sickest of burns, or you might just take it as "we aren't focused on

that right now, but we're not completely removing the idea from the public's eye."

You could also take it in the way that you decide to write an article about it saying

it's dumb for every franchise to not chase the current trend, like this fine gentlemen

did. Although this article does bring up some good points too, like how awesome the Halo

universe is for this mode. Alright now we have the idea of Battle Royale planted, so

where do we go from there? Personally, I think when everybody is trying

to do the same thing, it all ends up sucking and the people who did it first will stand

above the rest because they were the ones who inspired a series of copycats. That said,

if 343 were to try and tackle a Battle Royale mode, how should they do it? What's the

best way any game series do that? Of course, we're gonna look at this from

both angles, for the battle royale mode and against it.

Now as the article talks about, when Halo does things big it does them well. Some of

the best campaign levels are ones like Two Betrayels, The Ark, Tip of The Spear you know

huge sprawling canvases with tons of stuff going on. Or the big Firefight arenas from

ODST and Reach. There's so many notable locations within the Halo Universe that would

be hella fun to explore within the tense confines of Battle Royale gameplay. If I were to play

a BR mode it would be in Halo, that's all I'm saying.

There's a lot of things Halo has that many other game series don't, and Halo has the

freedom to create insanely cool, foreign, unique, Alien vehicles and weapons because

of it's Sci-fi setting and pre-established factions and lore. There's no shortage of

awesome setpieces that could be turned into a Battle Royale map. Even on the human side

of things, how crazy would it be to mount up in a Warthog with a squad and ride through

town? Or to have a scorpion get air-dropped into the middle of the battlefield, that'd

be crazy! But like, would there be ammo restrictions for vehicles? Would these things be too overpowered?

As we'll find out through discussing this, there's a lot of obstacles to overcome and

figure out. Because on the flip side to this, Halo's

core gameplay isn't designed around every player having a single life, nor has it ever

pushed the limits to 100 player matches. These hurdles that 343 would have to overcome to

make something good are pretty massive. But Battle Royale could certainly be a really

cool addition to the series. I mean, if the fad dies out and Halo never tries it, would

we all be left wondering what could've been? It's just a question of: are those hurdles

too big and are they worth jumping over if it means we miss the 800m dash. Them track

references boi, where my track homies at?

But like, what about the pure balancing of this mode in relation to everything else.

Does Halo Infinite go for a more casual-fun type of game? Well probably not because we've

heard how committed 343 to maintaining the competitiveness of Halo 5. But is the whole

eSports gig losing steam because of Battle Royale? So many questions to answer….

Then there's also the issue of what is the pool of content for Halo Infinite going to

look like at release? Cuz these last few games have been pretty much all over the place.

Will Warzone return? (likely) Or will it be replaced? You know, what is gonna survive

the chopping block if Battle Royale gets put in? Cuz sure as shit they ain't gonna pull

a Craptivision and cut out single player for this.

I mean, does grifball survive? Does Infection survive? Does Firefight return? Do we get

a GOOD Big Team Battle? Are we going to have Halo: Reach style customization? For as many

things as Halo 5 tried through it's post launch support, the fact remains, the game

launched in an abysmal state, it actually inspired one of my first videos if you remember…

I could also see the argument being made that Halo has been declining and needs to make

some kind of jump back into mainstream relevancy. Now don't kid yourself, Halo is still very

relevant and will always be Microsoft and the Xbox's flagship series. But it still

hasn't gotten back to Halo 3 levels of popularity and maybe it never will because that moment

in time was unique and special to itself, but this jump to Battle Royale could very

well be something that brings new fans in alongside people who haven't played the

Halo games in a while and have been looking for a reason to check them out.

Battle Royale is the most popular mode right now. The numbers don't lie. And this could

very well bring in a whole bunch of people, again, if done right. But to go back to balancing,

how would they do it? Would they just copy the whole 100 Players everyone has 1 life

game mode? What if there was a time limit and you had infinite respawns and it was just

a 100 player free-for-all sort of gimmick? It'd be about which team or individual could

get the most kills? Like if I'm being honest, the Halo series

has so many cool ways to play that 343 should be fleshing out instead, because the last

time a Halo game tried to copy the current trends…

Well… *cough cough. At least with Halo 5 it maintained a hardcore

competitive scene but Halo 4 just didn't. And so Grim's response leads me to believe

that at the moment, they just aren't interested in shifting gears. As we've heard members

of 343 say, they want to build off of Halo 5 and who can blame them. The Halo series

needs some stability. But ask yourself, would you want a Battle Royale mode if it means

taking away a new, classic Firefight mode? If it means taking resources away from Forge,

multiplayer, the game modes we love, the number of maps, weapons, customization. I just see

far too many goats that would need to be sacrificed to the Pagan Gods in order to make this work.

I mean, with the advancements 343 has made with Forge, why not just give players the

tools to create this mode and these big ass maps, these battle royale style games? And

that's another thing, how would a battle royale mode change the core gameplay? Would

it be like two completely different styles? Like, how would shields work? How would health

work? This mode would require an extreme overhaul of Halo's base mechanics.

But I will say the idea of players literally dropping into the map ODST style in a drop

pod is pretty goddamn enticing. But then again… why not just put that in Warzone?

Now I did hear a rumor without any source or real credibility, but I heard that 343

originally intended to showcase a new Battle Royale mode alongside the Halo Infinite announcement

trailer. Now this rumor alleges that because Battlefield 5 had poor reception the day before

that they decided to play it safe and not reveal the Battle Royale mode. I don't know

about this because it kind of seems like if they had put all that effort into it, if they

had committed to something like that, they wouldn't back down at the last minute because

people said bad things about Battlefield 5. Like, they've been working on presenting

something to us for 2 & ½ years so would they really just be like, "nah fuck it."

I don't think so. Therefore I don't really trust this rumor but make of it what you will.

If someone can find a source for it please send it to me cuz I have not seen anything.

I feel like, in essence, yes there is a lot of potential for Battle Royale in Halo, but

why take such extreme risks to capitalize on a current trend when all that effort could

translate into a more refined game, with all the features intact at release? It could just

be the nature of the Halo fanbase but we had soooo many things to complain about with Halo

5. So a decision needs to be decided upon. Is this a game made for the existing fans,

or is this a game that's tossing what we love to the side in favor of trying to capture

a new audience? It's a delicate balancing act because as

a game developer you need to do both without ignoring either of those groups.

So, in a nutshell those are my thoughts on the potential inclusion of Battle Royale in

Halo Infinite. It seems like it's risks far outweigh the pros. I mean, best case scenario

it becomes the hottest new thing and somehow usurps Fortnite and PUBG. And the worst case

scenario is it just completely flops, you know?

But what do you think? What sort of crazy ideas come to your mind when you picture what

these maps and modes would be like, how they would play out? Is Battle Royale something

you WANT to come to Halo? Do you think it should be something explored through the forge

mode? Is it something the players should create themselves? And do you want to see higher

player counts in Halo Infinite? I know I do! Whatever your thoughts are, post them in the

comments below. Like the video if you enjoyed it and subscribe to The Act Man for more AWESOME

content! Alright everyone, that's all I've got for today. This is The Act Man signing

out… PEACE!

Elections Explained: What's a primary election? - Duration: 2:10.

By the time we get to the voting booth in November,

there's only one major candidate from each party on the ballot.

It's clean. It's simple. But it doesn't start out that way.

The purpose of the primary election is to pare down the field of candidates to one from each party.

Then they move on to the general election.

Take the governor's race.

The current governor is not running for another term, leaving the office wide open.

Plenty of people have lined up for the job, including five Democrats and three Republicans.

They will all appear on the primary ballot.

The top vote-getter in each party moves on to the November election.

Minnesota has an open primary.

That means you do not have to register as a member of a political party in order to vote.

But once you're in the voting booth, you can only vote for candidates in one party.

That's important to remember.

If you vote for candidates in each party, your ballot gets tossed out.

Don't worry about knowing which party each candidate belongs to.

Republican and Democratic candidates are clearly labeled.

Minnesota has an unusually long list of races on the primary ballot this year,

including both U.S. Senate seats, all eight congressional seats, secretary of state, auditor and attorney general.

Several of those races have attracted a huge field of candidates,

but again only one can prevail.

Be sure to flip over your ballot.

That's where you vote for local ballot questions and nonpartisan offices.

While they might not be as prominent as governor,

these officials make important decisions about your community every day.

They include your local city, county, and township offices, school boards and park boards.

Since these are not partisan races, you can vote for any candidate and

the two candidates with the most votes move on to the general election.

In Minnesota the primaries held the second Tuesday in August.

This year that's August 14.

Many Minnesotans will vote in person on primary election day.

The polls open at 7 a.m. and they stay open until 8 p.m.

If you don't want to hassle with finding time on election day, Minnesota has no excuse absentee balloting.

That means you can vote 46 days before the election.

To do that head to your local early voting center.

You can also request a mail-in ballot.
