Under the alias of C Shadow, Loudpedal made public appearances using only a holomatter

Michael McFaul - "From Cold War to Hot Peace" & Trump's Relationship with Putin |The Daily Show - Duration: 12:05.

My guest tonight is a professor at Stanford University

who served as U.S. ambassador to Russia

under President Obama.

His latest book is called From Cold War to Hot Peace:

An American Ambassador in Putin's Russia.

Please welcome Ambassador Michael McFaul.

-♪ ♪ -(cheering and applause)

-Welcome to the show. -Thanks for having me.

Congratulations on the book.

Uh, you served as an ambassador to Russia.

-Before we get into the whys and-and the hows-- -Yes.

'Cause Barack Obama sent me there.

That's the answer to your question.

-Why? That's why. I-I didn't have a choice. -Why?

-(cheering and applause) -So...

so I'm assuming he hated you.

(laughs)

Why would someone send you to-- We'll get into the whys--

-why he sent you to Russia. -Okay. All right.

But-but let's talk about Russia and the U.S. right now.

You know, it's a-- it's a continually unfolding story.

And, um, one of the most instant--

uh, one of the most, um, recent, rather, um,

you know, updates to the story was the Helsinki summit.

-Yes, I was there. -Donald Trump meets with,

uh, Vladimir Putin. They have a private meeting,

-which is-- which is abnormal. -Yes.

-And when they emerge from the meeting-- -A ba-- a bad idea.

Let's not-- You're too-too diplomatic.

-It's not abnormal. -Oh, I'm too diplomatic? Oh, wow.

-It's a bad idea. -The ambassador's like-- Okay, okay.

Um, and so Donald Trump comes out,

and what-what shocks people, amongst many other things,

is when he says, um, you know, "Putin was kind enough to say

"that we could interrogate, uh, his people

"who we feel have meddled in the election,

and, in exchange, he gets to interrogate some of our people."

-Yes. -And you were one of the people he was offering up.

-Yeah. -At that point, did you think, "Run"?

(laughs)

Well, I was in Helsinki.

-I work for another network called NBC. -Right.

Uh, and I was there with, uh, Lester Holt.

We were getting ready to go live. Right?

And, uh, he made this crazy proposal,

Putin did. Right? And completely crazy.

Just to underscore how crazy it was,

it is a U.K. businessman

who laundered money out of Russia,

assisted by U.S. officials--

and, at the time, Putin was saying intelligence officials--

-to help Hillary Clinton in her 2016 election. -Right.

So he said all that, and that's when our president said,

"This is a great idea. I want to talk--

-I want to offer up these people." So-- -Oh. Oh.

So-so, Trump heard "Hillary," and then he was like, "Yeah."

I wasn't at the meeting. I wasn't there.

But-but, probably, that piqued his interest, yeah.

Okay, okay. So how-- why is this such a bad idea?

Why would you not want Putin to interrogate you in Russia?

(laughs)

You obviously have never met Mr. Putin. I have.

Uh, um, I mean, let's-let's be serious.

They accused us of a crime.

Vladimir Putin accused me of a crime committed in Russia,

and he-he didn't want to just interrogate me--

he wanted to indict me.

He's-he's accused me of a crime.

So the idea-- whether you're Democrat or Republican,

let's leave that aside-- we can't have our ambassadors,

our soldiers, our, uh, A.I.D. workers,

our, uh-- anybody serving the United States of America abroad

be allowed to be hauled in by dictators.

That sends a really bad message.

-And so we got to push back on that. -Right.

Now, tragically, the president didn't.

President Trump didn't. He called it a great idea.

You know, and, at the time, I don't think he really understood

what was going on. Right?

Um, maybe that's part of the problem.

Maybe he shouldn't spend two hours with Putin

when he doesn't understand these issues.

Uh, eventually, they got it right.

But, uh, you know, to this day,

-I have to worry about travel in third countries. -Right.

There's just-- there's Interpol and something called Red Notice,

where, uh-- I don't think it's likely,

but-but Putin's a little, uh, unhinged these days--

where he might chase me around and seek to detain me

and then extradite me to Russia.

-Wow. I thought I had troubles. -Don't travel with me.

-Yeah, yes. -Yeah.

Um, there is an interesting part of the book

when you talk about Bush's relationship with Putin.

And... the two men had an interesting relationship,

because it seemed like it started off well,

and then 9/11 took things off course, you know,

-with the war in Iraq. -Yes.

But, you know, we were quick to judge Donald Trump

when he said he met with Putin and he believes him

and he's a good guy, et cetera, but you write about an incident

where President Bush did the same thing.

He met with Putin, and Putin was wearing a cross,

and he told him a story of the cross,

and Bush then left the meeting and came out publicly

and said to everyone, "I've looked into this man's soul,

-and he's a good man." -Right.

Could it be that it's not Donald Trump who's an idiot,

but rather that Putin just has really beautiful eyes?

-(laughter) -Like, what does he do

in these meetings to people that makes everyone walk out

going like, "Yeah, maybe, maybe he's cool"?

Well, as I write about in the book,

I've had some meetings with Putin myself.

He has, uh, rather distinct blue eyes,

and they scare the hell out of me.

-Right. -Uh, 'cause he thought of me

as somebody that Barack Obama sent

to foment revolution against him, uh, in Russia,

and he used to say that; his media used to say that.

But to your point, uh, there is this problem with presidents--

and even President Obama

probably had a bit of it himself--

which is, they think that: If I can just establish

a personal relationship with this guy or that guy

or this woman, and here in the case of Russian leaders,

I'll be able to right all the wrongs from the past.

-Right. -And that is a temptation

to personalize politics, personalize diplomacy.

Trump has it worse than anybody I've ever seen.

He wants to meet with everybody and then, once he meets them,

-they're the greatest guy he's ever met, right? -Right.

So whether it's Kim Jong-un, the North Korean guy

in the Singapore summit, or Vladimir Putin,

where he just lavished praise on this guy...

And let's remember who this guy is.

This guy has repressed his people--

it's a dictatorship today--

he has invaded his neighbor,

and annexed territory, right?

If I were writing the Ten Commandments

of how to deal with your neighbors,

"Thou shall not annex the territory of thy neighbor"

would probably be number two or three on my list.

-Right. -"Don't use nuclear weapons" would be the top.

But then he supported this horrible dictator in Syria,

who's gassed his own people.

And then he violated our sovereignty in 2016

in our presidential election.

That's the guy that our president

-was lavishing praise on. -Right.

I don't understand the logic of that diplomacy.

It's interesting that most of the conversation

has been around the lavishing of praise.

-Because I went to Russia for the World Cup, -Yes.

and I had the pleasure of speaking to a few Russians.

I mean, everyone from a taxi driver through to a lawyer

who worked in some way for, like, the administration,

'cause everyone's working for the Kremlin in some way.

-Yes. Good point. -And what was interesting...

I hope you were careful in what you said.

I have nothing... I have nothing to tell them.

I just know where the scripts are.

-(laughter) -Um... and so what was interesting

was-was how Russians... I mean, for the most part,

I didn't speak to all of them, but they said, "We like Putin,

"and he's not a dictator,

"and he's brought Russia back into the Golden Age,

and we feel like an important country again."

-Right. -And, then, many of them said,

and people say this about us, and they go, "But America

has also invaded countries that they shouldn't have invaded,"

and, "America has repressed its people"--

you look at the civil rights movement,

you look at the laws in the country--

and so they go, "So are we not just two superpowers

doing the same thing"? How do you respond to that?

Well, two things. With respect to Putin,

he just was lucky. He showed up as president

right as the Russian economy began to grow

after a decade of the worst depression,

three times worse, their depression in the 1990s,

than what we experienced in America, right?

Had anybody showed up, that would have happened to them.

-Right. -In fact, a former friend of mine,

who was later assassinated-- his name's Boris Nemtsov--

he was the heir apparent.

He was the one that they were gonna choose.

And for a variety of reasons,

Yeltsin decided to go with Putin instead of Nemtsov.

Had he gone with Nemtsov,

history would have been different.

But the second point, it's called "whataboutism."

It's a classic Putin tactic.

And elements of it are true, by the way.

I think it's legitimate to question what America does.

We've made mistakes.

Uh, we've overthrown regimes.

When Vladimir Putin accused me of being sent by Obama

to foment revolution against him, he would say,

don't forget, the Americans did that in 1953 in Iran,

-and they did it in Serbia in 2000, -Right. Right. Right.

and paints a pattern that's consistent.

To that I would say two things.

One, just to be clear,

I was not sent by Barack Obama to overthrow Russia.

That's crazy.

That's not what President Obama was about.

We were not involved in that.

He sent me there to continue a policy

-that we called the "reset." -Right.

It was just that Vladimir Putin was threatened

by his own people, and he needed a scapegoat.

He needed to blame us for those Russians that demonstrated.

They were Russians, they weren't taking my orders.

They were his people.

But the second thing is, my mother taught me

-two wrongs don't make a right. -Right.

So just because you are against the war in Serbia in 1999,

that doesn't make it right for you to annex Crimea.

You know, if-if my house gets broken into,

that doesn't give the right

to my neighbor to break into it again.

And I just think "what about-ism"

is a very dangerous thing,

especially, when it's about me,

because "what about-ism" was exactly

what Putin was doing in Helsinki.

Mueller had indicted these Russians,

Russian intelligence officers,

they were accused of crimes with lots of evidence.

And so he showed up to Helsinki and said,

"Well, what about this McFaul guy?

Uh, I got a list of people that I think are criminals as well."

And that false equivalency,

I think, is every dangerous to walk down.

It's dangerous, and it's also the reality we live in now,

-because Trump seems to buy into that. -Yes.

-He's a big fan of "what about-ism." -Yes.

As someone who has been intimately connected

to the Russians from the American side

for such a long time--

From Cold War to Hot Peace is a very specific title--

Do you think that America

is further away from a conflict because of Trump

and the fact that he'll give everything to Russia,

or do you think that this may lead

to something worse further down the road?

Well, there's this odd thing with the Trump administration

is that the Trump administration, his government,

has one policy towards Russia, but he doesn't agree with it.

So what they're gonna do is hard to predict.

I just want to say that as an observer

from Palo Alto these days.

Um, the structural things, though, I think are pretty bad,

because Putin fears us.

He thinks we're the enemy, and he does think

that we're out to overthrow regimes we don't like.

And let's be clear, there's some empirical data

to support that hypothesis from the past, right?

But because of that paranoia,

whether it's in Russia in 2011 and 2012,

or in Ukraine in 2014,

where people also rose up against him,

I just think, fundamentally, we're never gonna be able

to have a cooperative relationship

as long as Putin is the president of Russia.

Now here's-here's some good news, though.

I'm gonna predict, I'm gonna go out on a limb--

We political scientists, we're not very good

about predicting the future-- I'm gonna predict, though,

that Putin will not be president forever.

Uh, how about that?

-Well, that's a, that's a great prediction. -And that...

And that gives, I think, hope for the future,

because when I was in Russia--

You know, I've lived in Russia six or seven years of my life.

-I've been there many, many times, -Right.

well before I was ambassador--

There's a lot of great people in Russia,

you probably met them.

They want closer relations with us.

They don't understand the geopolitical stuff.

And when I was an ambassador, they tried to ban me, right?

I couldn't be on TV shows like yours, by the way, in Russia,

'cause they didn't want me to be public,

but I would travel around the country,

and I just met too many young people that just said,

"Hey, we just want to live a normal life,

be able to vote for our own rulers."

Right? Not just to have it dictated from above.

"Be able to travel, and have better relations."

So I think, in the long run,

I'm really optimistic about Russia

and U.S.-Russia relations.

I just don't know how long this interregnum

of the Putin era's gonna last.

Thank you so much for being on the show, man.

-Thank you. Thank you for having me. -This was amazing.

-Thank you very much. -Thank you.

11 Psychic Signs That Someone Is Constantly Thinking About You - Duration: 7:32.

11 Psychic Signs That Someone Is Constantly Thinking About You.

Do you ever feel that suddenly you have a strange feeling when you are sitting around

in silence at your chair?

You keep getting the images of the person that you cannot get them off your mind, you

keep thinking and imagining about that person again and again.

It feels so strange that you did not think about that person before, but now all you

can think is him or her.

Well for starter, you might not believe this, you can think it is as a myth of superstition.

However, it is not just a coincidence, it could be the signs that they are thinking

about you.

Believe me, in one way or another, we all have these odd moments from time to time.

You may have already had this type of occurrence before, but you only think this as a random

feeling.

So, In this video, I'm going to share with you 11 psychic signs that someone is constantly

thinking about you.

But before we go down to the list, please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video

until the end to know the complete information.

The very thought could be flattering but remember that the person can be literally everyone

(not limited to just the person you keep thinking in your mind).

It could be someone you like or dislike, a good or a malevolent person.

Or, you may also be followed by a stalker.

11 Psychic Signs That Someone Is Constantly Thinking About You.

#1 - You experience sudden and unexpected emotions.

In the middle of your daily activity, without any trigger or anything at all, you feel a

sudden urge of sadness or emotionality.

This could be a sign that someone misses you.

Think about it for a moment, you may really precious to someone and you not being by their

side makes them deeply sad.

Or well, it could be that you are stressed enough so you suddenly feel some warmth in

you.

#2 - One of your eyes itches (or it could be another place in your body).

It seems so general and random, it could be just some allergic reaction (you may visit

a doctor in this case).

What I'm talking about is, when one of your eyes getting itches out of the blue, this

could very well that a certain someone has thoughts concerning you.

In some advance approaches, which eye itches shows different thoughts, and it also differs

between women and men.

For instance, if the left eye of a woman itches, it means that someone praises her.

But if she gets this sign on the right eye, someone may be not so glad about her.

For men it is the other way around.

#3 - When your cheeks burn.

If your cheeks suddenly feel burn without any physical reason, most likely you are in

the thoughts of a certain someone, it could also means they are talking about you (most

of the time you are bad-mouthed though).

You could say the burn on the cheeks as a distant slaps and that person has an ugly

thoughts towards you.

So when you experience this, make sure to reflect yourself in case you just did something

terrible in the past that you may not realize.

#4 - Burning Ears.

On the other hand, when you experience burning ears, this is a sign that certain someone

has a crush on you.

If your ears start to burn and there is no obvious reason for it, then it could be a

sign that someone is thinking loving thoughts about you somewhere.

#5 - Mid-Meal Discomfort.

When you're eating by yourself and not even talking to anyone and then suddenly you begin

choking or coughing on your food.

This sudden choking sensation could be due to a tension in your mind and somehow you

can feel that you are being a topic somewhere.

In this case, our subconscious is feeling the tension of someone close to us, and in

response, our body experiencing that tension.

#6 - Sneezing.

Again, it is not because of the weather or physical condition.

If you suddenly sneeze, it could means that someone is missing you, and apparently this

is a typical sign that believed in many countries as well.

#7 - Hiccups.

This one is another sign that someone may complains about you constantly, no matter

what you do.

Although this person is not literally dangerous and most likely not going to harm you in any

way, her or his action is toxic and contained with negativity.

So, it is better to be wary if you happen to know the person.

#8 - A sudden goosebumps.

This is a sign that you are in the middle of emotional and intensive thinking.

It literally could be positive or negative thoughts, all depends on how you feel.

Although, it is highly probable that someone finds you attractive, and thus, they think

about you constantly.

If someone's thoughts can really affect you that much, that means this person possesses

great psychic powers, well either it is for good or for bad.

So, you need to stay calm and assess the situation, see if you can do something to handle it.

#9 - Telepathy.

Telepathy is an extraordinary connection between two individuals that emerges spontaneously

and naturally.

In most cases, the two of you are really close to each other.

So, if you have the impression that you receive thoughts and ideas from someone dear to you,

this person is trying to connect with you in an intimate manner.

#10 - Feeling physical contact.

When the thoughts of a person is powerful and forceful enough, it can transmit the thoughts

into the feeling of physical contact.

This is one example of telepathic impacts that caused by intense thinking.

Depend on how you feel, and whether you know the person or not, it could be a beautiful

experience, or otherwise creepy and unpleasant.

#11 - Receiving distant dreams.

This is another thing similar to telepathy, but it is a subtler one since you feel it

through dreams.

Dreaming of someone's acts and emotions indicate that certain someone spends much

time thinking of you.

Just like before, this can be either beautiful or intimidating, all depends on the way you

regard this certain someone.

Well, those are the 11 psychic signs that someone is constantly thinking about you.

Observing the signs will help you recognize that someone's energy is directed towards

you either in a positive or negative way.

Surely, you should be careful to avoid any self-fulfilling prophecy.

This means don't see signs where they are not just because you want someone to be thinking

of you.

But do not turn them down when these appear.

So, really cool information isn't it?

I hope you enjoy this short video, if you have something on your mind, please

share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!

A Movie Producer Is Always Looking For Scripts by Jay Silverman - Duration: 3:05.

Film Courage: How often are you looking for scripts to purchase?

Jay Silverman, producer/director/photographer: Constantly.

Film Courage: What is the process?

Where are you looking?

Jay: I'm looking right now for a script for my next movie and working on ideas at

the same time.

We've had some bumps in the road.

I tried to option a book, got very excited about it and it turns out the book was entangled

in another country even though the rights had run out, the other country had a tax credit

for the film and gave them advance funds which I didn't know this but it legally terminates

any kind of future purchase because the money is already at play, I never knew that.

Film Courage: It's fascinating information because I would never think that either.

These are all things that…

Jay: I don't think the writer of the book knew that either.

Film Courage: Wow.

So once you found out that this is probably a no-go…

Jay: This was just a week ago…

Film Courage: It was a week ago?

Okay…how do you kind of get back on the horse and start looking for something?

Jay: I started immediately.

I mean a filmmaker doesn't typically have just one project that he's interested in

doing.

In my case I have a pretty important mandate.

I'm only looking to do projects that are personally beneficial to the world.

And I'm not talking about pollution or something like that.

I'm talking about a meaningful project that would help people engage and see things.

Filmmaking is so brilliant.

I just saw a great movie I can mention it called THE INSULT and it's a masterpiece!

Why is it a masterpiece?

Go see the movie and you'll understand because it talks about…it didn't matter that it

was filmed in Lebanon.

What mattered to me was it could have been anywhere.

And whether you are talking positive about politics or negative, it could have happened

anywhere.

And it was not a true story, it was fiction.

But the way it was filmed and the way it was written really tells a great story about tolerance

and talks about hatred.

And when you see a film like that and you walk out, you are affected in a way almost

Shakespearean.

And that's the kind of films that I want to make.

Films that viscerally help you understand the world more and maybe make you more tolerant,

maybe make you more perceptive and certainly filmmaking is one of the best vehicles other

than speech or a book.

And to me a filmmaker really has an opportunity to tell a story with the belief (not in a

purposeful preaching) but the belief is you'll walk out and you'll have a perspective you

might never have had.

Legitimacy Gifting: Nonviolent Communication (NVC) - Duration: 25:10.

Here is a glass.

Imagine that we, all of us together,

combined all of our experience and came up with

the ultimate solution to everything and put it right here in this glass.

[Ping]

Behold! The ultimate solution to everything!

And that's where we fall off the happy path of this sermon.

Because-- I need to put my red shirt on because-- because now,

if I believe that I have the true and the wholesome solution, look out!

Because you might see me start to get a little frustrated when people start

disagreeing with or questioning the effectiveness of my solution--

or angry when people don't even want to hear my solution--

Or stunned when people go on to use broken terrible solutions

or shocked at the devastation and the outcome of

all this tragedy and maybe even the loss of life.

And you might see me get a little furious

when people, after all that, continue to ignore the solutions that I know will help.

So,

grab your armor, get your weapons, because the war of who's right and who's wrong has just begun

and obviously,

anyone who disagrees with our solution is obviously wrong and must be defeated and the people who are right must win the war!

So, what weapons have we got at our disposal?

Perhaps some rewards are in order.

I'll pay you $50 to drink this!

Or maybe some compliments. I'll tell you how smart and wise you be if you just drink this solution

Or maybe I'll do you special favors. I'll treat you nicer. I'll add sugar in.

What? You still don't want to drink this? Maybe some punishments are in order.

Maybe I should call you some names like idiot or threaten you-- "Drink this or else!"

Guilt trips-- "If you love me... if you care about anybody at all in this world..."

Maybe I need to give some good ultimatums. You know what?

To not drink this would be an act of true evil.

So sadly,

we have rewards

and we have punishments

that are honestly just making things worse.

Please. No more rewards.

No more punishments.

No more war over who's right and who is wrong

because we can do better.

There are a million ways to solve all kinds of problems.

There's a million ways to make the world a better place. But first,

before we solve anything,

do we have an accurate understanding

of the true needs we are trying to address?

Have we connected with the suffering of the people that we are trying to help?

The short answer is nope.

Probably not. And here's why.

The things that I legitimately need and the things that you legitimately need are not always exactly the same in every situation.

I often assume that what you need and the current needs at hand are the same as mine.

Thus, my wonderful, awesome, lovely solution.

But if we're fighting,

the things in this situation that we both need are probably not what we think they are.

What? You need something different? What is it? Why?

Well, you can ask somebody what their needs are, but they're probably not going to tell you.

A. They don't know how to tell you what their needs are and

B. They wouldn't trust you to know what their needs are even if they did know how. And so it comes down to this:

The true needs of others will stay hidden

until we give legitimacy.

And this is the key point:

The gift of legitimacy

always comes before understanding

and understanding always comes before

relevant solutions.

In fact, putting the search for legitimate needs first does way more than just

increasing the chances that you'll find a relevant solution.

When you give legitimacy, you may, in fact, find

that it breaks your heart open in ways that just tear you to pieces.

You may, in fact, see that all of your hard fought, painfully acquired solutions won't do anything

to relieve one bit of suffering for the person you're trying to help.

You may, in fact--

In some cases you may see that, despite a lifetime of experiences, you're standing next to somebody and you have

no hope of any possible solution.

Giving legitimacy is powerful like that.

And so, another quick moment for a--

a costume change. I need to put my red shirt on because now I'm going to play devil's advocate for a second.

Who me? A legitimate person? I don't believe it.

Who that person? No, no, no, no. That person? Legitimate? I will never see that person as legitimate, or anyone like them, ever again.

I mean can we really safely consider everyone to be a legitimate person?

Come on.

How can we protect ourselves if we don't condemn the people that disagree with us?

and hey,

as if that isn't a big enough problem all by itself. I've got dark things in my own closet.

If you only knew

all the things that I've thought,

the things that I've done,

the people I've hurt, the people I've disappointed and disgusted,

then maybe you see. It's not such a good idea to go farming out legitimacy to everyone--

especially me.

If you want legitimacy,

you have got to show me some kind of a pattern.

I've got to see in you something I can trust--

something I can predict-- something I can rely upon.

A pattern and what you do, a pattern in what you say, a pattern and what you believe.

Do you "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?"

Show me! I need to see it!

You tell me that like that and I've got no problem calling you legitimate person. I'll even put you on a pedestal and make you famous!

But if what you do and what you say and what you believe crosses me...

you'll get no legitimacy from me.

I am done with you.

So thankfully,

legitimacy does not live in the patterns of what we do

or of what we say

or in what we believe. How can it? Our behaviors prove themselves time and again to be imperfect,

hard to classify, and even harder still to interpret. No.

Sadly, there is no reliable feel-good pattern of behaviors that we can always depend upon to keep us safe.

Legitimacy comes from a deeper place.

Remember the first principle of Unitarian Universalism,

"We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person."

We get legitimacy as a baby when we are born into this world and we keep it throughout our entire lives.

Why? The reason is because legitimacy lives in our needs!

The needs we experience in life teach us legitimacy.

Our needs brand us and cause us to recognize one another as legitimate.

I've experienced your needs and you have experienced mine.

The essence of legitimacy is in our needs.

Legitimacy doesn't live in our behaviors.

Legitimacy lives in our needs.

So do you have a cause that stuck because people keep rejecting your solutions?

Do you have a relationship that stuck with problems that don't seem to go away year after year

and sometimes decade after decade?

Embrace legitimacy and let it bring you the revelations and the enlightenment to help you get unstuck.

Let the three spiritual practices of giving legitimacy guide the way.

The first spiritual practice is to

See Legitimacy

Fight to see legitimacy in every person.

Our world is not about the spiritual practice of seeing legitimacy.

Our world believes in erasing legitimacy.

Thoroughly.

Why?

Because with other people's needs erased and out of the way,

we get to focus exclusively on meeting our own needs. Winner takes all!

We think that if someone does something that doesn't meet our needs or the needs of the people we care about, that person's

legitimacy deserves to be erased-- they should be demonized.

Don't fall for that.

Don't fall for all the ways that people label other people as illegitimate.

Immigrants, refugees,

foreigners...

There are no undocumented citizens of our world!

See Legitimacy Anyways!

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and every kind of sexual or asexual person...

There are no sexual abominations!

See legitimacy anyways.

Winners, losers,

heroes, rejects,

successes, failures...

There are no superior and inferior people!

See legitimacy anyways!

Well, throughout our entertainment and our news media, we have the bad guys!

There are no bad guys.

See legitimacy anyways.

Well, there are some people that go as far as to believe in crazy, radical things.

No. There are no religious extremists.

See legitimacy anyways.

Donald Trump, Barack Obama, Democrats, Republicans, White Supremacist,

Pro-choice, Pro-life... There are no political rivals.

See legitimacy anyways.

Rapists, racists, shooters, terrorists,

misogynist, child molesters, pedophiles, sex offenders, and endless labels for others...

There are no monsters!

Fight to see legitimacy anyways.

Someone might say, "If we don't have the undocumented, the sexual abominations, the superior and inferior people,

the bad guys, the religious extremists, the political rivals, and the monsters of this world,

what do we have?

We have legitimate people

with the same universal feelings that we too have felt

and the same universal needs that we too have needed.

So, please.

Protect yourself and protect your loved ones

and protect everyone who needs protecting with the force of a hurricane if necessary.

Because, to be sure, there are illegitimate actions,

illegitimate thoughts, and illegitimate beliefs.

But please, with the same fierceness,

protect the legitimate feelings and the legitimate needs and the legitimate worth and dignity of all.

You need,

and we all need, the legitimacy of other people

because giving legitimacy

always comes before understanding

and understanding always comes before

relevant solutions and Wow, do we need relevant solutions.

Grandfather Buffalo was old

and slow

but he was still a part of the herd.

See legitimacy anyways.

The second spiritual practice

is to hear legitimacy.

You're probably not going to get very far seeing legitimacy if you haven't heard legitimacy.

In other words,

you need to hear empathy before you can give empathy to someone else.

I want to whisper a huge secret in your ear and once you hear this secret, you'll be able to hear legitimacy

everywhere from everyone.

It's a powerful secret that makes hearing abuse optional,

Hearing criticism optional,

hearing blame optional, judgment-- optional.

Wouldn't it be nice to never hear negative things directed at us ever again.

And this is the secret:

People are always trying to say one of two things:

"I Love you."

or "Please love me."

People are trying to give you love or they are trying to get love from you.

We want to say, "I love you. Thank you so much!", but instead we offer critical advice for the ways--

For how they might do it next time if they decide to help us. That's our thank you gift.

Or we say-- we want to say, "Please, Love me!"

but we do it by blaming and criticizing our loved ones for the ways that

they continually fail to meet our needs the way we think they should be met.

So now you know the secret. At their core, the angriest and most frustrated of people believe in you.

They see you as a wonderful, amazing source of things

they desperately need and like a screaming baby bouncing on their mothers hip

that doesn't know how to thank you for what you've given them

and doesn't know how to ask for what they need without hitting and kicking and screaming...

Remember the story that Yvonne read to us about the therapist?

With the first kid who elbowed him in the nose, he heard a story of illegitimacy and became furious.

With the second kid who elbowed him in the same nose where it hurt even-- a lot more,

He heard a story of legitimacy and became compassionate.

The stories we hear from the actions of others matter because they completely change the outcome.

So listen for, "I love you."

Listen for, "Please love me."

Hear from everyone that you are a legitimate person because, yes, indeed, you are.

Hear legitimacy.

And lastly,

the third spiritual practice

is to speak legitimacy.

These words on this page are sacred words of power and truth.

Speak these words that have the ability, unlike any other words, to bring instant, intimate connection between all of us.

Remember the Swedish prisoner in the responsive reading who didn't know how to speak his feelings?

He didn't know how to speak his needs. What was it he said?

"I Wish you had taught me two years ago what you taught me this morning.

I wouldn't have had to kill my best friend."

We know these words. We know how to use them in a sentence.

But still,

we choose to use other words-- other words to defend our positions-- our stances...

other words that--

that erase the legitimacy of someone who disagrees with us or chooses a solution that we don't like.

Bring back these words.

Learn to speak these words of legitimacy fluently.

Because when you do,

the endless war of who's right and who's wrong is finally over.

The war is over!

We can throw down our weapons!

We can set our captives free! We can go back to kissing and hugging

the people that we love and even the people that we don't.

Because now,

the true needs are being discovered.

Because now, the true needs are being spoken.

Because now, with the true needs, we can love powerfully with relevant solutions.

When you vocalize, accurately, what someone else is feeling,

you are bringing empathy into the world.

When you identify what someone actually needs,

you are opening the door to bring love into this world.

When someone stops hearing any hint of blame, criticism, demand, expectation, or judgment and they start hearing instead that,

"You-- You understand?"

And they hear you

speaking the legitimacy of their feelings

and they hear you

speaking, out loud, the legitimacy of their needs,

in that moment,

they hear love.

In that sacred moment,

you are love.

And as all of us have already known for a long, long, long time,

Love is the ultimate solution.

So may it be.

maintenance VW a tea shop about a year ago I got the car I bought it from my

customer who already had one the car is from Japan I came from Germany initially

I grew up in Europe I'm from Belgium initially and so I've always wanted to

have that car and always got something special to me because it's horse-related

the junction of the two made me want to have the car one day and so that's why I

got it very retro turbo so it just kicks hands

past a certain rpm it's pretty snow in the city once you hit the boost it's

just fun so that's what I like about the car the move

mark mark Easy's my name I live here in Burlington Vermont I bring it around the

shows periodically and people absolutely love it

I've known this car for about five years now the car started out its life and

Cape Cod two gentleman named Brian Lange who was very well known in the

Volkswagen world so what he did was he pinched the nose he had two and a half

years in about 3000 or 3,500 man-hours in this card over two and a half years

some of the real cool aspects of the car not only that it's blown the original

motors blown but the front fenders were taken off rotated and turned 180 degrees

and that's what the back that's what made the back end of the car so it's an

austrial body all high-performance front end back end motor the motors gone

through several transitions from a 1600 dual port to an 1830 would four

carburetors on it until I got it turned it into a 23 32 blown Volkswagen motor

the motor went out to California to Jason Leffler industries out there he's

a high-performance Volkswagen engine guy and he collaborated with a man named

dick landing and his son who specialize in supercharged and blowing sand rails

long period of time about four months it's got a blower timing management

system in it that regulates the blower it's running a big pulley right now at

five and a half pounds of boost making 290 horsepower just got done with an

upholstery in it it had a Richmond upholstery put in it he does a lot of

concourse cars couple these cars it's got a Carson removable top on it

I was over at Hemmings motors in Bennington Vermont Jay Leno we do

visiting he was absolutely in love with the car he thought it was a wonderful

concept that we kept the original motor in it and we it was an all steel body

cause I don't know of another one blow on the East Coast with the original

motor in it the salt steel body I'm sure there's another one somewhere but and

that's what makes it very unique that we were able to keep the original platform

and then build off the original platform so real cool car glad you guys took the

time to talk to me about it there's been a lot of fun building it it's been very

expensive but it's definitely a conversation piece

[ENG SUB] The Coming One S2 EP5 Part1/2_20170728_Hua Chenyu_华晨宇_明日之子2第5集1/2 - Duration: 28:26.

Good evening, everyone. I'm the Star-Contestants Judge Mini Yang

Today, 10 of the 13 contestants

would have the opportunity

to be one of the Top 9 Star-Contestants

Leading, Colliding, In Fashion

The Battle for the Top 9 Star-Contestants

starts now

Today, there would be

three rounds of 1v1 group competition

The result would all depend on the

onsite votes of the audience

The members of

the group that wins would all get the "Pass"

The group that loses would be all on-hold

Tonight, only 10 contestants

could become the candidates for the Top 9 Star-Contestants

It has been decided by the three Judges

which group would compete with which one

*The day before the competition*

Tomorrow would be the last round of the Promotion Battle

It'll decide who would be the candidates

for the Top 9 Star-Contestants

Let's announce your arrangements by

showing cards with the contestants' pictures

There are two groups in each of your Track

What we should decide today is their performing order

which is very important

cause the onsite audience would vote and decide

the group that wins would all get the "Pass"

So it's crucial the group would

compete with which one

There's a chance for a Track to be all on-hold

How do we decide who first shows the card?

The first one to show card is

the one that got the lowest average votes

in the last competition

If no one shows cards,

you could pick one group to compete with yours

The card that is about to show is

Zeng Yuming and Cai Weize

Now it's the competition for this group

You want me to choose?

I think you don't need to concern my feelings

Just make your decision whether you want it

Yes, I want

That's a "yes"? You want your team to challenge his?

It's really difficult to decide. We only have two cards, right?

Once you give a card, the next you don't have any choice

Right!

That's why it's attractive

So you need to think carefully

You want your team to accept the challenge?

If you do, please show your card

I don't

*Surprised?*

So there're only us

Why didn't you show any card?

Why?

Because I want one of my group

to compete with another group in his Track

Xu Hanguang and Zhang Yihao?

Yes

What's your intention?

To defeat your Track of course

Next group

The one that got the most votes

in last competition: Vocal Track

Deng Dian and Viito (Huang Xiangqi)

Is this the one you want to compete with mine?

Good question

Yes or no?

Emm, no

Come on, come on, I'm counting down time

Wait, wait, let me think for a while

So difficult to choose

But once we've decided this group

it means that all settle down

Yes, the rest two would compete against each other

Let's go back to this group

I can't make my mind

Are you prepared? Have you made your decision?

The Judge of Talent and Beauty Track, please get ready

Three, two, one

Please show your card

It's all here

They'll fight against each other, sooner or late

right?

OK, the decision will be made by Hua Hua

Among Yin Qing and Qiu Hongkai

Xu Hanguang and Zhang Yihao

you need to choose one group for Viito and Deng Dian

I'm very glad that both Qingfeng and Chunchun

showed their cards

giving me a chance to choose

I'll to choose the one I want from the beginning

Now once I make my decision

it means all settle down

Yes, the rest two would compete with each other

Well ,then let me tell my reason for the decision

Why I want these two groups to compete with each other

Because...

Chunchun: No, no

Because in my opinion

I don't want totally different groups to compete

cause it's not easy to compare

No matter which one loses

they may not be convinced

I want to insist my opinion

OK

But this group

I can't imagine what they'll be performing together

The second and third are all set

Now let's welcome our first pair of group competition

There'll be three pairs of 1v1 group competition tonight

Which two would perform in the first round?

It'll be decided by the Star-Contestant Judge

Next, let's ask Mini Yang to

choose one from the three battles

After I tear the seal, there would be two numbers on the battle

Number 1 and 2 represent

Beauty Track and Talent Track respectively

Number 3 means Vocal Track

Let me reveal it

Talent Track VS Beauty Track

So Sun Zeyuan and Swag from the Beauty Track

VS Zeng Yuming and Cai Weize from Talent Track

<< Youth >> + << My my my >>

Next group

Zeng Yuming and Cai Weize , please be prepared

<< You and Me >> by Zeng Yuming and Cai Weize

The two Judges

please make comments on the above performances

Please pay attention

Your opinion may influence the votes of the audience

First, Beauty Track, Chunchun

I'm far from being happy

If I have to comment

I should say I really enjoy the performance of Talent Track

Qingfeng, your comment please

Sun Zeyuan and Swag

they brought about youthfullness and happiness

Next, Huahua

Can I just be an onlooker?

For Swag and Sun Zeyuan

there are several different elements in their performance

singing, dancing, rapping

each of those parts are above average level

The performance of the second group

since they are in Talent Track

they wrote their own song

this song is quite complicated

with several verses

If it's written by one person

I would think he has a split personality

But when you two co-write this, it's quite interesting

the lyrics are qiute good

So I think the two in Talent Track have more potential

to be the candidates for the Top 9 Star-Contestants

according to today's performance

Next, our onsite audience, please prepare to vote

One minute for your voting, counting down from now

Five, four

Three

Two

One

Voting closed

The group to get the "Pass" has been decided

The one that gets the most votes is

Talent Track

Cai Weize and Zeng Yuming get 198 votes

Swag and Sun Zeyuan get 183 votes

You just choose one and tear it, OK?

OK

Let me start by the one beside my left hand

"2 V 3", Vocal Track vs Talent Track

Having won the first round

Talent Track continues to perform

Vocal Track vs Talent Track

There's no problem with Wen Zhaojie

Sihuo, if you forget the rhyme

just don't...

I'm afraid he'll forget

so is it OK we don't sing the original way

OK

Break your leg!

We're the "Auspicious Three"

Encountering the "Auspicious Three"

means your happy time is about to be over

We're "Beam of Light"

Even though you have 40000 torches, or even 40 million torches

We "Beam of Light" could still withstand

Next, let the Judge introduce their performance

This song was

written by them three

It's their original

It's called << HIM HIM HIM >>

I think we just

listen to them

*Rehearsal*

The next group

Wen Zhaojie, Tian Yi and Lu Zhengting

I can't feel any team spirit in them

It's not a team work

So I'm quite worried

Today of all shows, only the performance in your Track

I totally don't have interest to watch

I know

I just need some time to solve their problems

Take it easy

Today, all of you failed the show in my heart

Very sloppy

Especially the first group

Why it's called a "group"?

If the group is out, all of the members are out

I can't feel

your team spirit, you know?

The five of you are all very excellent for me

But we are now in teams

You don't interact with each other

No matter how beautiful you sing

I can't feel anything

Wen Zhaojie, you write the song

it's not easy for Sihuo to sing

Did you help him?

You said you need to consider Diandian's style

But I told you to write first and let him listen

If he think it's not OK, we can revise it

You're brothers

So what should you do?

To combine, try everything

to make you two or three

achieve completeness and oneness in your work

that no one stands out nor stands back

Team spirit, you understand?

Let's solve problems one by one

It's OK, just continue

Each of them is excellent in their own field

But when they cooperate with each other

I never thought there would be so many problems

There still remains many problems unsolved

I hope we could solve it one by one

and make progress bit by bit

<< HIM HIM HIM >> by Wen Zhaojie, Tian Yi and Lu Zhengting

Well, thanks for our three performers

I'm touched

It reminds me of the people and things

that are very precious for me

Even though it's not above perfect

it's a good performance

To me, this group is a heaven-made match

from the very beginning

<< Black Bird >> by Xu Hanguang, Zhang Yihao

Their performance brings life to this composition

Both of them have their own

advantages and uniqueness

Actually, I love both very much

The decision will be made by our audience

You have one and only one choice

Among the two groups

the one with more votes will all get the "Pass"

The other one will be all on-hold

One minute for your voting, counting down from now

Five, four, three, two, one

Thank you all

Well, let me announce

after the voting

the group that gets the most votes is

*Commercial*
