13 Moments When Introverts Just Want to Stay Home

When you know an introvert, you can expect that introverts actually love staying at home

more than anything.

Of course, they will go outside sometimes.

However, there are certain times when they want to stay at home despite of their needs

to go outside.

For an introvert, small talk feels really awkward and boring, and being in a crowd,

you feel alone.

Networking and sozializing feels fake to you, and when it is time that you need to recharge

your batteries, that alone time feels incredibly satisfying.

Here are at least 13 moments when introverts just want to stay home.

#1 - After a tedious work

Introverts who work in the office are not only exhausted because of the work.

They are also exhausted because of meeting people especially those they don't like.

This combination is perfect to choose staying at home instead.

#2 - When they are asked to hang out now

Introverts do not like surprising schedule.

They only want to go outside when they are ready.

They basically need to prepare their mental bravery before they can go outside especially

with large groups.

#3 - When there is additional person

They cannot just stand with too many people.

Again, if you suddenly add one person in the group, the introverts will think twice before

they can go.

They prefer to stay at home instead of going out.

#4 - Small talk

Introverts, despite of their willingness to talk sometimes, they actually do not like

small talks.

They want deep, meaningful conversation to understand others.

#5 - When party with co-workers

Working environment usually consists many people, and they can be overwhelming for you.

Even though you may get some benefits such as being able to talk casually with your boss,

you will choose staying at home instead.

#6 - After hanging out in the other day

Hanging out with a friend is fun for some people.

However, introverted people see the world differently, and they just cannot stand for

multiple trips with friend without break.

#7 - No privacy

Even though introverts are in the public place, they still want to avoid crowd as quickly

as possible.

Unfortunately, they notice that some places cannot provide such luxuries, making them

think twice before going.

#8 - Your favorite TV shows are on air

Well, you just cannot be spoiled about the new episodes of TV series you like to watch.

That is why it is no wonder why you just want to stay home to watch it.

#9 - YOLO (You only live once)

Introverts do not like to take risks, and they just do not want to go outside to do

something that risks their life.

Over drinking, skydiving, and any other tough exercise should be left out.

#10 - Long exposure of crowd

Sometimes introverts really can play around with crowds.

However, there are some point when they are totally exhausted.

#11 - A conversation trap

Introverts can be trapped in a lengthy conversation when they meet someone who talks a lot.

It is a big problem for introverts, and that is why they prefer staying at home.

#12 - Introvert hangover

When you start feeling exhausted, you probably just need to take a break and stay at home.

#13 - Not enjoyable

People want to enjoy things and that also applies to introverts.

They want their activities meaningful and enjoyable.

If you are asking them to go to boring event, they prefer staying home.

All in all, that's the 13 moments when introverts just want to stay home.

END OF THE LINE - Duration: 7:22.

I'm sorry,

but I have to go.

*sniffles*

It's not you,

it's me.

Oh God, I drooled all over myself.

Hello Internet, it is MarissaSmokes

and that is the last time

I am ever going to say that.

New years, new things, right?

*laughs*

Um, before I get too far into this video

let me be super clear up front,

this is the last video that I'm going to be posting

on this channel, as far as I know, ever.

I'm not going to be removing this channel,

everything content-wise on this channel

is going to stay up.

I am going to be starting

a new channel

called Oregon Stoner.

And, the reason that I'm doing this

is because

I don't feel like I've put out my best work

on this channel,

and that's not to say that I'm not proud of

what I've done-- what I've done

on this channel.

Because at the start I was

so uncomfortable filming myself,

being on camera, being on the Internet,

feeling like I had something to say

and to contribute,

even though I knew that this was something that

I wanted to be doing so bad,

and had wanted to be doing this for years.

So, I'm super proud that I got up

the umph and the courage to actually

start a channel, to find the niche that I

wanted to be in, to try and stick with it.

I don't blame it, really, on myself.

To an extent I feel like I was

a little lazy in my filming and my editing.

But I also went through a lot of

technological troubles over the past two years,

I really haven't had any extra money

to spend when any of those things have come up,

or even just for things for the channel in general,

video ideas that I'd like to create.

And then on top of that my mental health has just

been in a place where I haven't really been able

to put my full effort

into what I've been creating,

and that goes for all aspects of my life,

not just the YouTube channel.

But when I look back at all of the videos

that I've created here on

MarissaSmokes, I can see that

in myself, and it might not be entirely

obvious to everybody.

I know in some of my videos it definitely is

because I made a point of being up front

and honest about my mental health problems,

and trying to be real,

which I'm going to continue to do

on my new channel, Oregon Stoner.

But, I'm just going to be trying to

put more into the videos in terms of filming,

in terms of editing, in terms of ideas.

I'm just going to be giving it my 110%,

whereas I feel like this channel I've been

giving it, like, my 85%.

So,

that's what's happening.

If you're watching this video right now

that means that Oregon Stoner

is live right now as well.

The last video on this channel and my

first vid-- first video, sorry,

on the, uh, Oregon Stoner channel

are going to be going up at exactly the same time.

So, if you've been a subscriber

and a supporter here on this channel, I want to say

thank you and that I appreciate you,

and every comment and like

and that you hit subscribe to begin with.

I would love to invite you to come subscribe

to my new channel, Oregon Stoner

where I'm going to be doing more of the same,

um, but better, and I'm also going to

be expanding my channel more

and I really hope to see you all,

and hopefully some new faces,

there as well.

So,

I think I'm going to keep this video pretty short

and sweet,

since I have a lot to get done today

and it's already evening time, so,

we are going to take a dab

of some Vibrant Highs Blue Cheese.

This is an indica strain.

Vibrant Highs is from the dispensary EugeneOG,

my favorite dispensary.

And this is their sister company.

I don't know if I said that. Did I say that?

What am I saying right now?

My brain's going a million miles a minute...

For the last time friends,

let's heat up this nail

and take us a dab.

My first video over on

the Oregon Stoner page will just be

a introductory, hello video,

but to give you a little sneak peek

of what I've got coming up,

my second video

on that channel is going to be a

review of a $12 nectar collector

that I bought on Amazon.com and

if you want to know if it sucked

or if it rocked

or what I think of it,

you're going to have to go subscribe

to the Oregon Stoner channel and stay tuned for my

next video to find out.

Alright friends, cheers!

*coughs*

*coughs harder*

Peace out friends!

I hope to see you on my other channel.

There is no next time.

Bye!

Or, at least not for this channel.

That sounded so ominous!

Encouraging Positive Body Image Through Cosplay - Hero Makeover Ep. 2 - Duration: 9:20.

Ivy, take one.

When I went to my first convention,

I thought, "That was awesome!"

You know, I want to be a part of that.

They're out there among us.

Real life heroes. Hiding in plain sight.

Fighting the good fight.

And making the world a little better for all of us.

I felt like I found my own people.

Each week, IGN will

change the life of an everyday hero.

It's just exciting to see other people

that love the same thing that I like.

Using professional costumers, makeup,

and effects artists, we will transform

well-deserving fans into their favorite characters.

Dreams do come true in Hero Makeover.

(upbeat music)

(piano music)

My name is Ivy Turner,

but in costume I'm known as Ivy Doom Kitty

and I'm based out of Los Angeles.

When I was growing up, I had a very supportive family unit,

but when I was going to school,

I was constantly made fun of.

So the heavier kid, there was a lot of

fat shaming, things like that.

Didn't have any friends in school.

I had very negative perceptions of myself,

lack of self-confidence, lack of self-esteem.

You know, the things that I heard day in day in and day out

at school, those things became my truth

that carried into my adulthood.

I became an introvert because if you're not around people,

you don't run the risk of being picked on

or body shamed or any of those things

and one thing I always resorted to was playing video games.

The first time I played Spyro, I was hooked.

It was actually one of the games

that my little sister and I played.

Thank you for releasing me, Spyro.

I remember playing video games with her

when we were little, especially Spyro.

It's like a more personal costume.

I love dragons and Spyro was definitely one of them.

(exciting music)

It wasn't until I saw cosplay, you know,

at the very first convention I went to,

where, you know, I realized, you know, hey,

you can dress up as a character, even as an adult.

What was that experience like?

It was amazing.

It wasn't until about five years ago

where I had enough courage to finally make a costume

and go to a convention and wear it

and it was a phenomenal experience.

We are here at my studio,

where I build all of my costumes.

This one here is Spyro and I'll be working on this one.

It's a dragon, but I want to make it work for a human

and not just a human, the female form.

My female form.

It's not easy.

I'm very curvy.

I was like baaaa.

(laughs)

My mom said she was having twins.

It's tedious and time consuming,

but the end results are always great.

Hopefully it'll be a positive reaction.

People will love Spyro. They'll get it.

They'll look at it and say, "Yep, that's definitely Spyro."

(suspenseful music)

Congratulations, Ivy.

IGN has chosen you to transform on camera

at Stan Lee's LA Comic Con.

Your journey is about to begin.

Wow.

Okay.

Looks like you got a lot of work to do.

(exciting music)

I feel that cosplay can empower anyone.

(exciting music)

You are promoting a positive environment

that's safe for everybody.

(whimsical music)

So last night, my sister and I worked on the costume,

painting it, getting it to fit right,

and there's still more work to be done.

(video game sound effects)

It's the day of the Con

and also the day that I debut my Spyro costume.

(mystical music)

It's gonna be a lot of fun.

(mystical music)

If I can get one person to feel confident

in wanting to try something different,

in wanting to try something new,

or just cosplay in general,

then I feel that I've absolutely have been

able to accomplish my mission,

encouraging others to be more cos-positive.

We came up with this look

and I like how it's going so far.

(laughs)

How are you feeling?

I feel awesome.

Well that's good.

I feel like a dragon.

I'm gonna breathe fire. It's gonna be great.

(suspenseful upbeat music)

Here's the finished Spyro prosthetic and makeup look.

Kelton did an amazing job.

Now it's time to get on the Con floor.

(suspenseful music)

(suspenseful drum music)

(upbeat music)

It's about embracing yourself and having fun

and not caring about what anybody thinks or says about you.

When I'm in my costume, I feel insanely confident.

I am overwhelmed with happiness and excitement,

to be able to wear one of my favorite characters in gaming,

here at Stan Lee's Comic Con in LA.

(applause and cheering)

(whimsical music)

(suspenseful music)

Hey!

You look like a lizard!

(Ivy laughs)

How are you? How are you?

So it's a dragon, but I made it into a lady dragon.

It's incredible that you make these things.

(Ivy laughs)

Good seeing you. Thank you.

Take care.

Traveling around the world

and doing panels on the cos-positivity movement

and making costumes and all of these different things,

I would have said, "Nope! That's not me."

To me, a hero is somebody that helps other people,

that, you know, supports others

that is a force of positivity that people can look up to.

(soft music)

Cosplay can empower anyone, regardless of who you are,

what you look like, anything.

I want to be able to help and give back.

I created a series of panels

that cover different aspects of the community

and how we can help encourage others

to be more giving in the community

and also to want to cosplay,

regardless of anything that they feel is limiting them.

(soft music)

(soft piano music)

My self-confidence that I have now,

my self-esteem, everything, is owed to cosplay.

And if it can do the change that it did for me,

then it can do that for anyone.

If you liked this episode,

make sure to follow IGN's Hero Makeover

on Facebook for more transformations of everyday heroes.

Never buy these things in GTA V Online!!! - Duration: 6:32.

Okay, for someone like me who has too much money, I spend without checking the prices.

That's the situation I'm in, because I'm now hemorrhaging money, so from billionaire

I'm like a multi-millionaire on GTA V Online.

But thanks to my lavish lifestyle, I can now advise you, on the crappy things you should

never buy!

All them stupid planes I'm not even joking about this one, a lot

of the planes on the Elitas website are just useless.

Some of them have machine guns attached, others drop bombs, and of course, the best ones fire

missiles.

But if you;re looking for a killing machine, just fly a fighter jet.

You can now even buy the lazer, so you don't have to steal it from the military base.

And then you'll find the 'Luxor', this is the slick black plane that you can get

in gold too.

But the thing is, that plane is free!

You can find it down at the airport, in the hangar.

So why the cuk would you buy it.

Even the gold edition, which costs way too much, they're all useless.

I did actually buy it, but I don't ever remember calling Pegasus, to get my Luxor

ready.

And before I move away from aircrafts, I have to mention this piece of shit - it's called

'Besra'.

Oh my days, this is a niceing scam.

Honestly, I first bought this thinking it's got some special weapon - but this good doesn't

have anything.

All you get to do, is fly around and intimidate people, but if they find out - it's just

a shitty little Besra, you're niceed.

All them stupid businesses I get what Rockstar tried to do with this,

they wanted players to feel cool and act like business-people.

The problem is, most of these businesses, including the marijuana company, will make

you 0 money.

You'll splash out on upgrades, but everytime you wanna make a sale, you've got to deliver

these packages.

At which point, people can come along and niceign kill you, then take your supplies.

The only business that actually can make you a decent amount of money, is the cocaine company.

But it take sages for the business to make these supplies, you'll actually end up living

a second-life on GTA with these businesses.

I started these businesses and straightaway shut them down.

Everyday, I was losing money because I had to pay utility bills and staff wages.

Fck that.

There's so many jobs, stunt races and even heists to complete - why the nice would anybody

waste their time on this crap.

You will instantly regret starting one of these businesses.

All them stupid apartments Okay, you do need one apartment or playing

the standard heists, but buying like homes for yourself is a massive waste of money.

I think I've got 5 properties like this, to be honest, you only need to buy garages

- and all the biggest ones cost less than having an apartment attached to it.

I never play GTA, to go sit and watch TV in my virtual house.

Over the year, Rockstar has released new updates with brand new properties.

You can get a bunker, which I totally recommend.

Then you'll get to unlock all those special vehicles and weapon upgrades.

And with the new Doomsday heist, you get this mad underground crib - which is like some

James Bond hideout.

If you're willing to put the money into it, you can get something called an 'Orbital

Cannon' which literally drops a bomb from a satellite in orbit.

It's the coolest thing ever, but word of warning - dropping one bomb costs $750,000

- and you can only do it once every hour.

It's too cool.

The stupid Juggernaut suit You might disagree with me on this one, even

I agree it's actually really cool, but it is - niceing useless.

You have to pay like $50,000 to have it dropped in a crate, and if you're not careful, I

think someone else can take it from you.

And don't bother calling it in somewhere secluded, because once you wear that suit,

you're going nowhere.

That thing is so big, you can't get inside any car, and it's so heavy, it barely moves.

All you can do, is walk around slowly with minigun.

I made the mistake of thinking it made me invincible, and eventually, I got blown to

pieces.

And once it's destroyed, you have to call it back in, pick it up and make your way down

to other players.

You're better off spending the money on a car than buying this suit, you simply won't

have the time or patience to actually make use of it.

The bad thing about purchases liek this is, once you buy them - it's not like you can

just sell them off.

You won't ever see that money again.

And finally, niceing Shark Cards I never understand people who convert their

real money, into virtual gaming cash.

It's not like second life, where you can actually convert the money back into real

dollars, but in GTA V Online, that's just a stupid thing to do.

Once you a buy a game, that should be the end of it.

They make things so hard to get that people become desperate and buy those GTA dollars.

That's most likely the reason why Rockstar keeps launching new cars, aircrafts and properties

- they want you to spend money.

But take it from me, once you have it - it's gets old.

I still love my humble Progen T20, that car is slick, fast and a lot of people have it

already.

So once you get that car, trust me, you really won't get much of a thrill from other cars.

They just take up space in the garage and make you feel cool.

But I wouldn't dare spend real money, just to feel cool in a virtual world - with shit

graphics.

So that's it dudes, be wise with your dollars - or if you're like me, become the richest

guy alive and then it wouldn't matter what you spend on, or how much you spend.

I hope you enjoyed watching, make sure you ring the bell so you get notified of my next

upload.

I'll see you later goodies.

Facebook Live Videos: Benefits of Captioning & Uploading to YouTube - Duration: 3:16.

Hey, everyone! Mary here.

It's a bit of a cold and snowy day.

I'm just out for my walk in the park.

And continuing with the theme of

courage, commitment and consistency,

I am doing a Facebook Live.

So, I do have a topic I wanted to talk about though,

it's about Facebook Live.

And...here's my thoughts.

You know how you do a Facebook Live and

wow, like you say something so brilliant and wise

and it reaches a lot of people at that beginning

and for a few days and -

Facebook Live is very...

effective

and reaches a lot of people.

So that's awesome.

And I was thinking, well, why not let that legacy of yours

with that wisdom

live on a little longer?

So, you put it on Facebook Live,

it's up on your Facebook Page.

And then what do you do? Do you just leave it?

You can...

but then it'll kind of get lost in cyber world

and a lot of people aren't really going to get

the access to that message like they could.

So what I do for -

as some of you know, I have my own business,

The Caption & Transcript Studio.

So what I do for clients is,

we take that video from Facebook Live after it's done,

we upload it to their YouTube Channel,

I caption it,

so they have closed captioning

or open captions.

Open captions are burned into the video

and closed captions are...

they can be turned on or off.

So, we put that on their YouTube Channel.

We optimize that with tags, etc., the transcript.

And then I take the caption file

and then I upload it to their Facebook Page video

so that people can have access to it

because not everybody gets access to a Facebook Live.

So first of all people who are deaf or hard of hearing,

they [may or may not] know what you're saying.

So the captions are great for that.

And plus, nowadays,

a lot of people like watching videos with the captions anyway,

for various reasons.

Maybe you're at work right now (whispering)

and you can't let anybody hear you listening to a video

and you don't have your headphones,

so you listen, you know, you watch via the captions.

That sort of thing. So...

I think it is a great idea

to let your videos live on longer.

You can do it easily by yourself.

Eventually, I'm going to be making "How to" videos

and that's part of my

commitment and consistency I'm working on for this year.

But in the meantime,

if you don't find that I have the videos you're looking for,

there's many people on YouTube.

Just Google or YouTube anything that you want to learn

and it's pretty much there.

So yes, the point of today is to take your Facebook Live,

after it's done, put it onto your YouTube Channel.

If you don't have one, it's really easy to create.

Put the captions in it.

And then, put the captions on the Facebook Live, after the fact.

So, I hope that's helpful.

And if you had any questions, you can always contact me

via my Facebook Page or you can always email me:

mary@tctstudio.com

Alright.

Have a great day!

I'm over and out. Bye!

Ah!

It's not turning off...(laughing)

Am I still on? I'm still live.

You know what? Sometimes when it's cold,

the iPhone won't turn off.

So let's see what happens....

(laughing)

Ah...it won't...(laughing)
