- On this episode of WMassBiz,
we're gonna meet with Robbie
of Harley Davidson of South Hampton.
Let's take a ride inside and see
what makes these guys the largest motorcycle dealership
in Western Mass.

- Welcome to episode 12 of WMassBiz.
Robbie, thanks so much for being on the show.
- Thanks for having me.
- Well listen, tell us a little bit
about Harley Davidson of Southampton
and maybe some of the services
that you guys provide here.
- Well, we started, it started out
as Easthampton Harley Davidson,
moved up to this building in probably the late 90s.
Aaron has owned it since 2007.
We've been going big ever since.
We do offer a full service department,
everything from oil changes to full custom upgrades.
Full motor clothes department,
leather jackets, all riding gear,
and obviously a full sales floor,
upwards of probably 150 motorcycles in stock
at any given moment.
(upbeat rock music)
- You guys do any special events here?
- We do, throughout the year we're involved
in probably countless bike nights.
We will host some sort of bike night here,
usually once a year.
We do a Wicked in Pink Run in October,
which is obviously a breast cancer awareness,
really fun event.
We actually cook pink pancakes all morning long.
We also do the demo days,
so we'll have the Harley demo truck out front.
The Harley Motor Company will send their latest models out,
so it's basically an adult amusement park
all weekend long.
It's no obligation test rides.
And then in April we usually do some sort
of annual open house, kind of a nationwide Harley open house
where you can come by and we grill hamburgers
and hot dogs, there's a band out front.
It's, there's always something fun going on down here.
(upbeat rock music)
- So have you guys had any unique modifications or?
- Every Harley Davidson that leaves the showroom
is pretty much upgraded almost immediately.
Everyone usually starts with some form
of slip on pipes or an intake.
I've seen everything as crazy
as an all blacked-out motorcycle
upwards of $20,000 for the upgrades.
But everyone does something.
So during the Wicked in Pink Run actually,
one of the craziest things I've ever seen
done to a motorcycle,
I actually had a street bike out front
that was covered in fur.
It was patterned as a cheetah.
It was pretty much the craziest thing
I've ever seen on a motorcycle.
(upbeat rock music)
- And what about yourself,
like how long you been riding Harleys?
- So I moved back from Dallas, Texas
in probably 2013, traded in my street bikes
for a 2007 Road King, and I been on that ever since.
(upbeat rock music)

- We're located on College Highway, 17 College Highway
in South Hampton, Massachusetts.
