Why live a sustainable life? - Why I chose a green lifestyle - Duration: 4:48.

Bonjour, welcome to a new video of Mrs.Stilletto AKA Nancy.

So good to see you again.

Today I would like to talk about why I chose a sustainable green life.

As a kid I used to watch Huisje, Boompje, Beestje.

This was a TV show

for children

That was about nature

and the environment.

You were told how to

interact with nature.

And eventually with the environment.

At primary school they installed a cool programme on our computer.

It was more of a game actually and it was called:

Thuis in het milieu (At home in the environment)

You would earn points if you lived a sustainable lifestyle.

And as a kid I used to shout at my parents:

Turn off the lights! Otherwise it's bad for the environment!

They say I sometimes forgot to switch off my own lights.

I can't remember, but that's what my parents told me.

So there was a period in time, as a little kid, I was very much into the environment.

And then...

There wasn't much of interest for a long time.

You live with your parents,

you do what they do.

And in fact you don't have anything to say about it, really.

And to be honest, I didn't really think about it that much.

But in 2011 my life changed radically.

During summer I got a phonecall from my mom.

That turned my world upside down.

My father died.

Very sudden.

In the south of France.

And I obviously loved my father very much.

A lot of people are fond of their parents.

So you can imagine what an impact this had on my life.

In that time I was trying to live a more sustainable life.

But because of my father's passing away, I started to re-evaluate things in my life.

Why am I doing this?

Is this making me happy?

What are my reasons?

It really made me think.

And it also caused me taking huge steps in my life.

Steps that were completely different than people would expect at first.

My number 1 decision to live a sustainable life is:

To pass our earth on

to a next generation.

Better than we have the earth right now.

I would love to pass it on in a better condition.

But in any way, not worse.

And as things are looking right now...

We're heading the wrong direction.

I would like my heritage to be that the world is left a little bit better.

I hold myself responsible.

And mostly myself.

I don't want to point the finger to anyone, because I am not that green.

But at least I try to make the right decisions.

And I think, as I have said in a previous video

That everything can be accomplished if taken with little steps!

People sometimes ask me:

What do you think, that you can change the world?

You are just a tiny part of the whole.

Isn't it a waste? Don't you think you can't attribute?

And I say: NO!

That is not the case.

We all can make an impact.

Because if we take little steps in the right direction

we will slowly start to shift and turn things around.

I seriously believe we can improve our world.

Everyone in his own way.

And I think you should decide what approach works best for you.

Things that I have changed are:

Eating more vegetarian, starting to become a flexitarian.

I stopped buying clothes.

I started the Free Fashion Challenge.

In which I couldn't buy anything new for a whole year.

Less consuming.

Turning the heat off.

Eco friendly cleaning.

And I have more tips how you can live a sustainable life.

I have put a link of it in the description box.

And of course I will provide a link over here.

A sustainable lifestyle made me happier.

More aware of the seasons.

Just by thinking about it

makes you feel more present,

live in the present and in the seasons.

I try to leave the world

a better place.

Then in which I found it, when I was born.

And I encourage you to do the same thing!

Did you like this video?

Please give me a thumbs up.

Don't forget to share with you friends.

And leave me a comment below

how do you live a sustainable life?

Do you have a good piece of advice for me?

I would love to hear!

Thank you for watching and see you next week!

Bye!

MINIATURE potato TUTORIAL // DOLLHOUSE // DIY - Duration: 6:19.

hey everyone welcome back to my channel

todays tutorial will be showing you how to make miniature potatoes

for this method i'm using polymer clay, however cold porcelain will also work

Start out by rolling a snake of clay in a light tan or dough colour.

Cut this into equal 1cm lengths.

Next roll your clay into balls and smooth out rough edges. Gently roll each piece into a loose egg shape.

foreman kitten is making sure i do this correctly

Next using a balling tool or something with a round end

gently dent the potatoes at random

This doesn't have to be perfect. The idea is to create an area for pastel pigments to clump in.

Shave off some soft pastel directly onto the potatoes and using your fingers

make sure they have an even coating

You can use gloves of you don't want to get your hands messy.

Shave off some dark brown pastel and spread it across your work surface

Then roll your potatoes across the pastel so that they pick up only a small amount of pigment.

This is to make the potatoes look semi washed and dirty.

During this step, be careful not to rub or handle the potatoes as you want the dark brown pigment to not be smooth

Now you will want to gently press in the larger clumps of dark brown pastel forming a small dent.

You can add a few eyes or shoots using some clean dough colour clay and attach using TLS.

you can add as little of as many shoots on these potatoes as you like

once you are happy with your potatoes, go ahead and bake for the full duration as per package instructions

then once they have cooled, cover them with a matte glaze

To peel the potatoes firmly hold then with some tweezers and peel off the skin using and xacto blade

Now you can arrange a scene with your potatoes

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. don't forget to leave a thumbs up and I'll see you in my next video.

Velocity Selling TV ► Episode 66 - Step 5 - Decision Making Process - Duration: 5:00.

Velocity Selling TV Episode 66: Step 5- Decision Making Process

Bob: Welcome back to Velocity Selling TV, episode 66 on decision making.

Over the past few weeks we started episode 62 to identify the steps of the buyer focused

Velocity Selling System.

Step one build rapport, step two set the parameters, step three uncover buying motivators, step

four uncover financial ability and today in episode 66, it is uncover decision making.

I'd like to welcome Matthew Whyatt in Australia to help us get through the decision making

step.

Matthew welcome back.

Matthew: Thanks very much Bob.

I really appreciate it.

I'm really enjoying going into this more of a deeper dive when it comes to each one

of these elements it's so important.

This eight chapters that we go through, if this is the only thing you watch with Velocity

Selling, this is a key way you can improve your sales.

Decision making process, super simple stuff.

What we want to do is once again, you've moved through financial ability, you know

what you want to spend, you've got a bracket, you've got some sort of idea about their

budget, review their problems again, review their budget again, and then simply ask the

question that I love to ask, and I've been asking this question for twenty years, So

other than yourself, is there anyone else involved in decisions like this?

Or other than yourself, is there anyone else involved in the decision making process?

What it does is a couple of things, it respects that they're involved, but also gives them

the ability to tell me about other people.

If you just say can you make a decision, it challenges their position in the business.

It opens up the possibility that actually statistics is, business is between a hundred

and to five hundred individuals require seven people to be involved in almost any decision

requiring any new budget.

That's a really important thing to know and to start involving whether it's a committee

or a group or board and then you try to sit on their side and help them win that through

their decision making process.

That's how we actually want to make sure that we're uncovering that decision making

process.

Bob have you got anything else to add?

Bob: Yeah, the biggest question of all.

When will you be making a decision?

Matthew: Of course.

Bob: Now Matthew let's discuss when.

Now I know you're waiting on this one.

Why is when so important?

Matthew: Buying cycles, especially in large B2B environments are so long and so painful

that a lot of times sales people often find themselves disheartened by this future, this

horizon that seems to continue stretching out forever and a day.

If we get really clear on when, then it sets the emotional position for the salespeople

and also gets the buyer to commit, because remember, everything the buyer says is true

and correct and everything the salesperson says is questionable as far as the buyer is

concerned.

So we want to make sure that they are telling us what their timeframe is and then we of

course can understand why that time frame exists.

Bob: Of course.

And also from a point of view, when do we want to present?

If they're going to make a decision, six months from today, let's not waste their

time doing a presentation today.

If anything, we'll get back to them later, let them visit other competitors if they need

to and we'll come back in six months and finalize the deal then.

Matthew: Absolutely.

It also respects, and I've said this to customers, if it's not going to be for another

quarter or six months or whatever it is, it's not unreasonable to think that things might

change between now and when you're going to make a decision, how about I come back

then, ask a few more questions so we can provide you exactly what you need at that time, and

we can go from there.

Does that sound reasonable, yes it does, and boom, you've moved out of there, you've

kept your powder dry if you like, and you can actually really nail what they need at

the time when they need to make a decision.

Bob: The only comment I would make on that Matthew is I would engage them to give me

a commitment of what they would like to see in the process, you know, their whole decision

making process and when would be a good time to come back.

Again, the customer leads and I think you're eluded to that, it's all about the customer,

their time scale, their schedule, their time, we're there to make sure to get a commitment,

or to get a clear future because we're certainly not going to get a yes or no today.

Matthew: Absolutely, great point Bob.

Bob: That's fantastic.

So there we go, we just covered step 5, decision making.

We've talked about rapport, set the parameters, buying motivators, financial ability, decision

making, and next episode what we're going to do is we're going to pull it all together

and we're going to summarise and the summary step is a very important step, so please join

us next week for episode 67 on summarising.

Matthew: Fantastic.

Bob: Thanks again, have a great week.

Lego Haul For June 2017 - Part 1 of ? - Duration: 3:49.

Hey everyone!

JAYSTEPHER with my latest haul

It is a Lego City race car.

Set number 30354.

Your typical polybag.

I did get a package in the mail.

So let's see how much of a fight this box is going to put up.

It just would be so easy to use box cutters.

Okay.

Now I know there's going to be a receipt lurking in that box.

So let's take a peek in here and look.

Oh wait a minute.

Well that's just the poppy things.

Aha!

Okay. So far so good. Huh?

No receipts.

This is part one of two.

So this is the traveler set.

I was expecting this to be bigger.

Looks like the sleeve pulls off.

I'll save that for the review.

Let's make sure that we don't have receipts.

I do see one.

Well I'll put that over there.

Finally I forgot to turn off the auto focus.

Let me do that real quick.

I knew I had forgotten to turn that off.

Let's put it on manual.

I have the People Pack:

Fun At The Beach.

I hope I'm hot going to get disappointed on this set.

Looks like I may end up getting disappointed.

It doesn't look like there's a whole of accessories,

but I haven't opened up the box yet.

So I don't know.

So that's it for the haul.

Just three items.

I'm expecting a parts haul

maybe in a week or two.

I like to get started and finish up on the motor home project.

I'm still getting numerous comments and requests to make that a tutorial.

I am working on it.

Just be patient.

Also as another note,

I'm getting messages

either on YouTube or on my business inquiries.

You have to give me time to answer those questions.

I do have a full time day time job.

It is difficult to answer questions at this time

on those two platforms.

So it may take two or three weeks to get to them.

I'm slowly getting caught up.

I'm already getting caught up on YouTube comments.

It's private messaging that's becoming a challenge.

So that's it for the haul.

So this is first of many for June 2017.

Thank you for watching!

London fire: fears of people trapped as major blaze engulfs tower block – latest

Firefighters were battling to rescue people trapped inside a 24-storey tower block in west London this morning hours after a huge fire broke out and swept through apartments.

The fire at Grenfell Tower on Latimer Road near Notting Hill started shortly before 1am on Wednesday. Live London fire: fears of people trapped as major blaze engulfs tower block – latest.

At least 200 firefighters and 40 engines on the scene of a huge fire at Grenfell Tower in Latimer Road, near Notting Hill, in West LondonFull story on Grenfell Tower fire.

The London fire brigade said on Twitter it responded to the "major incident" on the Lancaster West Estate after multiple calls. Two hundred fire fighters were at the scene along with 40 engines and at least 20 ambulance crews.

In a statement on Facebook, assistant commissioner Dan Daly said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are working extremely hard in very difficult conditions to tackle this fire.

This is a large and very serious incident and we have deployed numerous resources and specialist appliances.".

The statement said the fire reached from the second storey of the building to the top and the cause of the blaze was not yet known. The London ambulance service said its crews included a hazardous area response team.

The London mayor, Sadiq Khan, said in a brief statement on Twitter that it was a "major incident". A Guardian reporter on the scene said one man could be seen waving a blanket from the window and calling for help.

People from neighbouring estates were huddled outside in their pyjamas near the flaming building, some shouting "put your head out the window" or telling the man to shout his flat numbers so they could guide the fire services to him.

Fire officers were spraying his window with water to try and douse the flames.

"There was a woman with a child. I saw her waving maybe 30mins ago," said a man who asked not to be named. "She said I've got a child … I saw them spraying her window.".

Hadil Alamily told the Guardian that she saw "someone jump on fire from the top floor". She had seen the man flashing a light in an SOS pattern.

"He was screaming help, help, help but no one helped. He dashed a mattress out of the window. He was literally on fire and jumped.".

Just before 4am the Metropolitan police said people were being treated for a range of injuries and evacuations were continuing.

Reports said police on the scene were urging people trapped inside the building to use place a wet cloth over their mouths and "self-evacuate". Residents of nearby flats were told to evacuate because of debris falling from Grenfell Tower.

Photographs and video from the scene showed huge flames engulfing most of the block, with lights on in many windows. The tower contains 120 homes.

One local resident and witness, Victoria Goldsmith, told Sky news: "The whole building seems to be engulfed now. It's spread all the way to the top. Advertisement.

"There was literally two people trapped at the top and they had mobile phones and they had the lights trying to flash them and signal people. They couldn't get to them. the fire kept going and the lights went out.

"They are trying to get it under control.

George Clarke, the presenter of Amazing Spaces, lives nearby. He told Radio 5 Live: "I was in bed and heard 'beep, beep, beep' and thought, 'I'll get up and run downstairs as quickly as I could'.

"I thought it might be a car alarm outside and saw the glow through the windows. "I'm getting covered in ash, that's how bad it is. I'm 100 metres away and I'm absolutely covered in ash.

"It's so heartbreaking, I've seen someone flashing their torches at the top level and they obviously can't get out. "The guys are doing an incredible job to try and get people out that building, but it's truly awful.
