Hello!
Today, we are with an old friend on Motoron
I'm saying that because
We had the same bike like this one for testing
and i rode it for exact 20.000KMs
It suffered a lot of beating
Unfortunately, we were seperated because of a little accident
i will put it's picture somewhere left or right
Even after that crash, i rode it to service
I mean it's very very strong
It was proven it's strength with that
Let's see all other stuff about this bike
First of all let me start with it's 16 BHP engine
It's very powerful for a 150cc
Back then, Honda and Hero was partners
I mean, Hero was producing bikes for Honda in India
So they have a long friendship because of this partnership
They have taken the engine of CBF150
but they worked on it and developed very much
Covered the piston with DiaSil
more compression
and
taken out the balancer shaft
Okay, unfortunately that returned as vibration but
at the same time you have power too
While CBF has 11bhp,
this guy here has 16bhp
You can really feel the 5bhp difference
It's torquey at low revs
not bad at high revs
it's using all benefits of being a single cylinder here
Plus, fuel consumption is really well
I remember very clear;
I did 471KM with 10,5 liters of gasoline
That also means 2.7LT/100km
I think it's really nice
but only thing is
leave the vibrations aside,
gear ratios are a little bit short
They made this bike for Indian traffic
Because of this all settings are up for that
Let me explain;
In India:
They can only ride around with 50-60KM/h relatively safely on highways
Their roads are a lot more bad than ours (sry Indian friends but that's the truth)
so they can only go with that speed relatively safely
because of this they are all optimised gears for having max comfort
and fuel economy at 60-70 km/h
so gear ratios are a bit short for our standarts
and i put a one teeth smaller rear sprocket
result of this, i got a bit more longer gear ratio
before i was doing 90 with 7000rpm, after that
i was doing same speed at 7500 oh sorry 6500
This returned to me as fuel economy
Plus, less vibrations
with 90km/h
These are all small details
I definitely recommend to get one or two teeth smaller rear sprocket
as my 20.000KMs experience with this bike
Let me explain the vibrations
There are not much of vibrations to rider
It has some at high revs yeah but
pillon will eat the all vibrations
how?
a lot of vibrations coming from pegs
and they will numb your feet on long journeys
btw, there is nothing at 80
if you do 81, it will start right off
very strange
nothing until a certain RPM, when you past it then resonance will start
this is a very tiring thing for pillon on a long journey
I never heard any complaint on short rides
so i don't think it will be a problem on short city rides
of course you have to consider that it's showroom price is 5,500ish TRY
so you can forget all this negatives or see them as little details
On design page,
They literally emphasized the hardworking image again
Front lamps are designed like an ant's head
If you check the design of backbone of the bike it really looks like an ant
I will put a picture of an ant so you can clearly understand
Two LED daytime lights,
halogen headlight
turn signals are very bright and they seen perfectly
headlight also illuminates so nicely
i think they thought about Indian roads while making that too
so illuminating is very very nice
at the back; they used a LED stoplight
that gave it a look like more expensive bike than a 5,500 TRY commuter
this is also a plus
On sides; it has wings that make it looks like more bigger bike
which is looks really nice
i liked that too
seating is low positioned
and soft
i'm doing this so you can see clearly
it's nice enough
not giving me any ass cancer so it's fine
seating position is a bit more sport oriented
his brother Hunk is more upright
this one is a bit more sporty than him
low and comfy seat is very good for a new learner
espicially a new learner plus a short person
it's a very big advantage
a strong point for tsport
Dashboard is really minimal
They didn't put anything unnecessary
Let me open it
it's giving me a welcome first
it has an analog fuel gauge and
analog rev counter.
Unfortunately it doesn't have any gear indicator
but they put a neutral light that blinks green when you put it to neutral.
When you put turn signals on,
it doesn't show it like left and right.
it shows them combined
for a new rider, it can cause some problems
You know, like which signal i put on bla bla...
but i don't think that would be a biiig issue
KM counter
two tripmeters
a clock at right
and a digital speedometer
You can even read them very clearly at sunlight so very good dashboard
i liked it.
Let's come to riding and suspensions
First of all, front suspensions are soft
at back, it's between the middle of soft and hard
When it was showroom new
back suspensions were tooo hard
but in time, it got softened up and about in 10.000 kms it found itself
I generally ride alone so if you generally ride with a pillon
that 10k kms will be reduced to around 3000-5000 kms
when soft front suspensions and that rear suspensions become a team
they kinda neutralize each other
on corners it's not a big deal but
those soft suspensions gave us real comfort on bumps and potholes.
They used MRF's Nylogrip tyres
It's not bad tyres
for a bike on that price
not bad on dry roads
actually i can tell they are good
but on wet...
NIGHTMARE
It slides too much on wet
It's ok for summer
So if you ask; I bought it new should i change the tires immediately?
No, if you bought the bike on summer you can use the tyres on all dry weather
but on winter
I definitely recommend to change the tires with more better ones on wet conditions
For me,
it's a must for safety
It has discs at front and back
This is the version with discs
You can buy the version without discs for more cheaper price
But i really think you should pay more and get the discs instead
Cmon, with discs it's like 5500ish TRY
It has 150TRY difference for discs at back
or 200TRY i don't know if it's got a raise
It really good for that price
at back you have brakes from NISSIN
Bybre at front
They are both nice and very good for this bike class
Nice stopping power but no ABS
It would be absurd to expect a bike priced 5500 to has ABS
so no abs, not bad stopping power
You can't go wrong with that price
I want to show you some practical details about it
Let me start with fuel tank
i'm opening it very quickly
like this
it stays on the fuel tank, NICE
Second detail is; let me show it quick
This thing
What is this doing?
1- When you oil up the chain, it keeps the bike clean
2- If you use the bike on rain like me,
it prevents the all rust and dust to stick into chain and shorten it's life
3-
Because of oil stays cleaner
it takes longer to re oil the chain
so you will give less worry and time about your chain
plus it will be easier to clean too
when you opened the case,
you will only see darkened and dead oil
so it will be quicker to clean that oil than cleaning all the dirt and grime from road
this is another plus
i liked this thing very much
it doesn't looks bad at all
If it was shiny grey it would be really look bad
but they painted it nice and same color with bike's black
i liked it
So, who will be happy to buy this?
1- If you want cheap part prices
2- A student or someone who just wants to go A to B,
cheap maintenance will make you happy too
cheap running prices
4-5-6 you can go like this all day
maintenance, parts, etc etc all are very cheap and minimal expense
It looks nice, i mean really doesn't look bad at all
Robust and strong
For all the 20,000 we only did regular maintenance
We even take it to track
after the track, we taken it to service incase of anything but
there was none
Who dislikes this bike? Who shouldn't buy it?
Let me say it quick
To a comfort maniac and vibration hater will be unhappy about it
Why?
Your pillon will complain about it. That's a guarantee
Vibration coming from these pegs will make your pillon complain for sure
You will not have too much vibrations like your pillon
but the vibration coming to hands and pegs could make the comfort maniac to complain
I don't think this as a negative BTW
because it's giving me 16bhp
They took out the balancer shaft but gave me an 16bhp engine
so i'm going a bit more faster
i check on to that so very satisfied about it
Again, for 5500 you can't go wrong
This is not a negative you know
This is a bang for the buck in terms of price/performance
This is a bike like a Turkish Delight. Buy and ride it.
I recommend it
There are test bikes on Hero so go and test by yourself
