Fight Replay: Dhiego Lima vs. Gilbert Smith | THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER - Duration: 2:25.

Let's get it on.
A fight starts between Dhiego and Gilbert.
Gilbert comes out, lands a leg kick.
Gilbert's looking for the counter
and they're exchanging jabs.
Dhiego throws a big kick, and Gilbert was able to catch it.
Gilbert works the takedown, but Dhiego
defends well and lands some elbows and nasty hammer fists.
Gilbert eventually gets Dhiego down,
but Dhiego is able to scramble and take Gilbert's back.
He goes for the rear naked choke,
but Gilbert defended very well.
Round one ends up with Gilbert on top
and not doing a ton of damage.
So it was a very tough round to call.
In the second round, both these guys came
out fought their asses off.
And you can tell both these guys want
to get that semifinal spot.
At one point, Dhiego Clips Gilbert and stuns him.
But Gilbert recovered really well and finished strong.
It was another close round, so the judges
sent it to sudden victory.
In the third round, Dhiego came out and immediately took
Gilbert down.
And he was able to lock in a tight triangle choke that
looked deep and looked like he had it,
but somehow Gilbert was able to fight it off
and gets out again.
20 seconds, Gilbert!
Once the fight got back up to its feet,
these guys just went for it.
They started throwing big shots and trying
to knock each other out, and it was a very impressive fight.
I really, really liked this fight.
It was a very competitive, entertaining, awesome fight
where both guys are able to hold their chin high
and be happy of what they've done.
Winner by unanimous decision in the sudden victory
round, Dhiego Lima.

So today was a day that I walk away from mixed martial arts.
And I thought the best way to do it was to do it with the guys.

I wanted to say a couple things.
I don't know too much about TJ and Cody our situation.
But both of you are great fighters.
And I'm honored to be on the show with you.
And I thank you for coaching me and teaching.
And I thank you and your team for being tough competitors
and being professionals.
Like I said before, if there's anything I ever said or done,
I apologize if I came wrong.
That's not who I am.
I just wanted to focus in fighting.
And, Dhiego, bro, I couldn't go out no better way.

I know I didn't have a long, crazy career.
