WITH NO CERTIFIABLE KNOWLEDGE OF THE CAUSE OR CIRCUMSTANCES

OF HIS NEUROLOGICAL INJURIES THAT THIS PATTERN OF BRAIN

YOU KNOW THE STORY OF HOW HE WAS BORN?

I WENT TO THE DMZ LINE BECAUSE I WAS ENTERTAIN TROOPS AND

THEY MAKE YOU WATCH A MOVIE ABOUT HOW HE WAS BORN.

IMAGINE SO HE KIDNAPPED SOUTH KOREA'S LEADING ACTRESS AND HER

HUSBAND, A DIRECTOR, THEY WERE KIDNAPPED AND SPENT,

12 YEARS OR SO IN NORTH KOREA MAKING MOVIES THERE AFTER

THEY'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED BEFORE THEY ESCAPED AND GOT BACK

ACROSS SO HE IS A LUNATIC SO THE NOTION THAT THEY WOULD MAKE

THE PRISONERS DANCE TO THRILLER, AT FIRST I WAS LIKE

YOU BEEN TRICKED AND THEN I WAS LIKE NO, WE'RE TALKING

ABOUT NORTH KOREA, THAT IS PROBABLY TRUE.

THEY THINK IT IS ADVENTUROUS.

Tips For Removing Permanent Residence Conditions With Or Without Your Spouse - Duration: 8:25.

Hi, Carlos Batara here.

I wanted to speak to you today about conditional permanent residency.

You probably heard that getting a green card through United States citizen spouse

is the easiest path to permanent residency.

And generally speaking, yes, that's true.

But there are some hurdles along the way in various situations that you should be aware of.

Conditional permanent residency is one of those.

The situation arises when a person, a United States citizen,

marries an immigrant and less than two years after their marriage,

the immigrant is eligible for a green card and they go to an interview.

In that situation, the government is going to give them a conditional green card,

conditional permanent residency.

The situation arises in three general situations.

The first one is that of a fiancé visa.

A United States citizen brings in someone that they have fell in love with from abroad.

They have ninety days to get married after that person arrives.

In most situations,

the next step is to file for permanent residency for the spouse,

so once they do that,

the process moves pretty quickly.

And within a year, more or less,

the immigrant earns a green card.

So now they have a green card. It's been less than two years after they were married.

The second situation occurs with what is more common now.

Internet dating

I've seen a lot of individuals who have met someone online.

Then they go abroad.

They spend time with them.

They start to like them.

Then the person comes over here and visits them and the United States citizen spouse proposes.

They propose marriage. They think about it.

Then, they get married.

Then the United States citizen and the immigrant spouse come into a lawyer's office

and ask if they could immigrate them and they could stay here and

that they don't have to go back on their temporary visa.

A third situation is just two people meet and they are quickly, madly in love,

they get married and then they file papers real quick.

I mean not the normal courting period. It might be two or three months, boom, it's done.

And they get married and then the green card process flows very quickly.

Those are three common situations that you'll see this occur.

Okay, so, what is conditional permanent residency? It's a two-year testing period.

Like I said, if you've been married and less than two years after that,

you become a permanent resident, your permanent residence will be conditional.

It won't be permanent. It won't be permanent, permanent residency.

It'll be conditional permanent residency. So, what happens in that situation?

Well then the United States sets a two-year testing period.

So for the next two years, you should remain married.

I mean because the government is really looking at this in terms of, "Is this fraud?"

Have you really gotten married for love or is this one of those paid for marriage situations,

paid for green card situations? And so, what the government imposes upon you is a two-year period.

At the end, three months before the end of the two-year period, which is the 22nd, 23rd, 24th months,

the government wants you to file a form called Removal of Conditional Residency. It's Form I-751.

That is supposed to be filed jointly.

If both you as the immigrant and your immigrant spouse are together, you are supposed to file that.

Now, there are some situations where that doesn't occur.

For whatever reason. And it may not be related to fraud. In fact, in most cases it isn't.

In those cases you can't file together

perhaps the United States citizen spouse has fallen in love with someone else, perhaps they abandoned them,

perhaps they've even filed for divorce. So, what does the immigrant spouse then have to do?

Well then they have to ask for a waiver. They have to ask to file alone without their American spouse.

There's three conditions that you have to meet.

All of them have to have…have to prove, even jointly that it's a good faith marriage.

If you're still together

and if you've had children, well, normally it's going to be pretty clear that it's a good faith marriage.

But when you file alone, the good faith marriage requirement becomes a little stricter.

But it's the other three – you have to meet one of those three

in order to keep your permanent residency card

and change the conditional status to a permanent status

so that you become a permanent, permanent resident.

Okay, the first one is that you're divorced already.

That would be, you got married and say, the thirteenth month or so, your spouse files for a divorce.

Now that in California, there's a sixth-month cooling-off period

unless there are, you know, certain conditions that would allow you to fast track your divorce.

But by then you'll be divorced the nineteenth month.

Well, the immigrant spouse can still file for a waiver

and keep their green card if they can show that their marriage was in good faith

and that the divorce has been completed.

Death operates pretty much the same way.

If you can show that your spouse passed away and it was a good faith marriage, then you are okay.

But divorce is one of the big ones.

I've seen a case where an individual comes to work in California.

The spouse is in another state. They come here because it's a better job and they're hoping for a job promotion

and they're hoping that the U.S. citizen spouse will follow.

However, that does not happen. The U.S. spouse ends up with someone else.

The immigrant goes back home, and it's like, "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, What Happened?"

And they end up getting a divorce, and so when they come, they have to file

for the waiver based on the divorce.

If the divorce has not been completed, there could be problems.

But there are two other ways for a person to achieve a waiver, to win a waiver.

The second one is extreme hardship.

If you are the immigrant spouse, and you're going to suffer extreme hardship

without the permanent residency card, you could win a waiver.

But the period for the extreme hardship is only going to be from the period of the marriage

so you're going to show, "Okay, this is what I thought I was getting into.

This is what I have now. This is how I'm going to suffer."

A situation like that might occur where the immigrant spouse has a child.

The child is born and then the U.S. citizen spouse leaves.

Or maybe even two children. And they leave and the immigration spouse,

if they don't keep their permanent residency will not be able to take care of the two children.

They'll going to be sent back home because they're not allowed to stay here.

There's going to be extreme hardship to the spouse and to the U.S. citizen children.

In that case, you could have a strong argument for extreme hardship.

The third one is battery or extreme cruelty.

I have seen cases with fiancé visas where the immigrant spouse comes over here

and she's totally mistreated by the US citizen spouse.

The immigrant spouse then is left high and dry.

And treated like a slave or treated like, you know, a sex object.

Or just in general, not allowed to have friends, not allowed to make phone calls,

not allowed to interact with the community.

Well, that's extreme cruelty.

Okay? Or even absent battery which is you know, physical hitting and beating of an individual,

an extreme cruelty argument could win you, could win the granting of the waiver

which then allows the immigrant to file for the removal of the conditions on their own.

That's conditional permanent residency in a nutshell.

I hope I've been able to simplify it a little for you.

Hopefully, you never find yourself in this situation

"KEEPING YOUR MIND STAYED ON THE LORD.

MY OPENING SCRIPTURE CAN BE FOUND

IN ISAIAH, CHAPTER 26, VERSE THREE.

"THOU WILT KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, WHOSE MIND

IS STAYED ON THEE: BECAUSE HE TRUSTETH IN THEE."

PERFECT PEACE IS SOMETHING THAT EVERY CHILD OF GOD

SHOULD HAVE IN THEIR LIFE.

IT SEEMS SO SIMPLE THE WAY ISAIAH GIVES IT TO US;

THAT THE LORD WILL KEEP US IN PERFECT PEACE,

WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON HIM BECAUSE WE TRUST IN HIM.

ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS KEEP OUR MIND STAYED ON THE LORD

BECAUSE WE TRUST IN HIM TO TAKE CARE OF US.

WHEN WE HAVE OUR MIND STAYED ON THE LORD,

HE WILL GIVE US HIS THOUGHTS.

ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS YIELD TO THESE GOD THOUGHTS,

EVEN WHEN YOU THINK THAT LIFE WOULD BE EASIER

IF YOU DID THINGS YOUR WAY.

THIS IS WHERE PEOPLE GET INTO TROUBLE.

WHEN GOD GIVES YOU A THOUGHT, FOR EXAMPLE,

TO WAIT ON SOMETHING, BUT YOU DECIDE THAT IT WOULD

BE EASIER TO GO AHEAD AND DO IT RIGHT AT THAT TIME;

THAT'S WHEN YOU LEAVE YOURSELF OPEN TO FAILING GOD.

THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON WHY GOD GIVES YOU

A SOUGHT-THOUGHT ON SOMETHING IN A CERTAIN WAY.

IT MAY BE TO AVOID TROUBLE OR-THAT LIES AHEAD FOR YOU,

OR IT MAY BE A SOUL THAT IS MARKED FOR YOU TO WIN.

GOD KNOWS WHAT LIES AHEAD FOR EACH ONE OF US.

THAT'S WHY WE HAVE TO BE TUNED INTO THE SPIRIT

TO RECEIVE GOD THOUGHTS.

GOD WANTS TO WORK WITH US IF YOU ARE WILLING

TO WORK WITH HIM.

WE KNOW THAT THE DEVIL'S NOT GOING TO MAKE LIFE EASY

FOR ANY CHILD OF GOD, BUT I CAN TELL YOU

THAT IF YOU KEEP YOUR MIND STAYED ON HIM,

YOU CAN HAVE PERFECT PEACE-THAT'S BIBLE!

GOD WANTS TO HELP YOU, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SITUATION IS.

WHEN YOUR MIND IS STAYED ON THE LORD,

YOU ARE CONNECTED WITH HEAVEN.

GOD WILL GIVE YOU WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU NEED

TO HANDLE ANY TROUBLE OR TRIAL THAT COMES YOUR WAY.

WHEN YOU DON'T LISTEN TO GOD THOUGHTS, AND DON'T

HANDLE THE TROUBLES AND TRIALS THAT COME YOUR WAY

THE WAY THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO,

IT'S GOING TO SHOW UP ON YOU.

WHEN CHRISTIANS WORK THE "GRAY" AREA, MEANING THEY

HANDLE A SITUATION IN A QUESTIONABLE MANNER,

THE HOLY GHOST WILL DEFINITELY GIVE THEM A CHECK MARK,

A RED FLAG THAT SOMETHING ISN'T QUITE RIGHT.

MANY TIMES, THESE CHRISTIANS DON'T HAVE PEACE

IN THEIR MIND, AND THEY HAVE MIND BATTLES.

IF YOUR MIND IS STAYED ON THE LORD,

YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY "GRAY" AREAS IN YOUR LIFE.

MANY TIMES, REV. ANGLEY HAS SAID,

"WE SHOULD ASK OURSELVES, "WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?"

IN OTHER WORDS, THIS SIMPLE FORMULA IS TO

ALWAYS HAVE YOUR MIND STAYED ON THE LORD.

WHEN YOU DON'T KEEP YOUR MIND STAYED ON THE LORD,

THEN YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HAVE PERFECT PEACE.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT IS HAPPENING ALL AROUND YOU,

YOU CAN STILL HAVE PERFECT PEACE IN YOUR MIND.

YES, THE STORMS OF LIFE ARE GOING TO COME YOUR WAY,

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS KEEP YOUR MIND

STAYED ON THE LORD.

IN MATTHEW, CHAPTER 14, JESUS HAD THE DISCIPLES

GO INTO A SMALL SHIP, AND GO TO THE OTHER SIDE

OF THE SEA OF GALILEE WHILE JESUS WENT UP

INTO THE MOUNTAIN TO PRAY.

SO, AS THEY RODE THE SHIP OUT ABOUT 25 TO 30 THIR-FURLONGS,

WHICH IS ABOUT THREE AND A HALF MILES;

BY THIS TIME, IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT, SO, IT WAS DARK OUT.

AND THE WIND WAS BLOWING VERY HARD, AND THE WAVES

WERE TOSSING THE BOAT AROUND; AND THE DISCIPLES

WERE CLINGING TO THE BOAT.

AND HERE COMES JESUS, THREE AND A HALF MILES OUT,

WALKING ON THE SEA.

AND THE DISCIPLES SEE JESUS, BUT THEY ONLY

RECOGNIZE HIM AS A SPIRIT, AND THEY CRY OUT FOR FEAR.

AT THIS POINT, JESUS SAYS TO "BE OF GOOD CHEER;

IT IS I; BE NOT AFRAID."

WE SHOULD TAKE COMFORT IN THOSE WORDS

WHEN WE ARE IN THE STORMS OF LIFE.

PETER SEES JESUS, AND HE ASKS IF HE CAN COME TO HIM.

WHAT CHANGED FOR PETER?

ONE MINUTE HE'S CLINGING TO A BOAT IN FEAR;

THE NEXT MINUTE HE'S WILLING TO STEP OUT OF THE BOAT

AND WALK THE WATERS.

WHAT CHANGED?

HE HAS THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES ALL AROUND HIM.

AT THIS POINT, THE WIND IS STILL BLOWING VERY HARD,

THE WAVES ARE STILL CRASHING, THE BOAT IS

STILL BEING TOSSED; ON TOP OF ALL THAT,

IT'S STILL DARK OUT, SO, WHAT CHANGED FOR PETER?

IT WAS HIS MIND; HIS MIND WAS STAYED ON THE LORD.

HE WAS NO LONGER RULED BY THE CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND HIM!

PETER'S MIND WAS SO STAYED ON THE LORD, THAT HE WAS

ABLE TO DEFY THE LAWS OF GRAVITY AND WALK ON WATER.

WE CAN'T LET OUR ENVIRONMENT OR PEOPLE

HINDER OUR MIND FROM STAYING ON THE LORD.

TRUSTING IN THE LORD PLAYED A BIG PART FOR PETER

TO WALK ON THE WATER, AND FEAR AND DOUBT

PLAYED A PART WHEN HE SANK.

THAT'S WHY WE ALWAYS NEED TO HAVE OUR MIND

STAYED ON THE LORD.

THE LORD WILL GIVE YOU PEACE WHEN THE STORMS OF LIFE

COME YOUR WAY.

YOUNG DAVID IS A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE WHO HAD HIS MIND

STAYED ON THE LORD.

HE TRUSTED IN GOD TO GIVE HIM THAT PERFECT PEACE.

DAVID WORR-WASN'T WORRIED ABOUT WHAT TYPE OF CIRCUMSTANCES

WOULD COME HIS WAY EACH DAY, HE WAS LIVING

FOR THE LORD AND TRUSTING IN HIM.

DAVID'S OLDER BROTHERS WERE IN THE ISRAELITE ARMY,

AND THEY WERE FIGHTING AGAINST THE PHILISTINES,

AND HIS FATHER JESSE WANTED DAVID

TO RUN AN ERRAND TO DELIVER SOME FOOD TO HIS BROTHERS.

WHEN DAVID WOKE UP THAT MORNING AND HE WAS GETTING DRESSED,

I'M SURE HE DIDN'T THINK THAT HE WAS

GOING TO FIGHT A GIANT THAT DAY.

DAVID THOUGHT HE WAS JUST RUNNING AN ERRAND

FOR HIS FATHER!

I'M SURE HE WAS EXCITED TO SEE HIS BROTHERS

IN THE BATTLEFIELD WITH ALL THOSE SOLDIERS; AND NO DOUBT,

GOD HAD GIVEN JESSE THE THOUGHT TO SEND DAVID

ON THIS ERRAND BECAUSE GOD WAS GOING TO USE DAVID

IN SUCH A GREAT WAY THAT PEOPLE WOULD TALK ABOUT IT

FOR YEARS TO COME.

WHEN DAVID GOT TO HIS BROTHERS, THE ISRAELITE ARMY

WAS ON ONE MOUNTAINSIDE,

AND THE PHILISTINE ARMY WAS ON ANOTHER MOUNTAINSIDE,

AND THERE WAS A VALLEY IN BETWEEN.

THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE PHILISTINE, MEANING GOLIATH,

DREW NEAR MORNING AND EVENING,

AND PRESENTED HIMSELF 40 TIMES.

GOLIATH MOCKED AND DEFIED THE ARMIES OF THE LIVING GOD,

DARING ANY ONE OF THOSE ISRAELITE SOLDIERS

TO COME DOWN AND FIGHT HIM.

THOSE 40 DAYS MUST HAVE BEEN A SAD TIME FOR GOD,

THAT NOT ONE SOLDIER HAD THEIR MIND STAYED ON GOD

AND TRUSTED IN HIM; SO, GOD WAS UNABLE TO USE

THOSE SOLDIERS TO FIGHT GOLIATH.

EACH SOLDIER WAS LOOKING AT THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND THEM

AND SEEING A 9 FOOT, 9 INCH TALL GIANT

MOCKING THEIR GOD, AND THEY WERE TOO SCARED

TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

NONE OF THEM WERE LISTENING TO WHAT GOD WAS TELLING THEM

TO DO BECAUSE THEIR MIND WAS NOT STAYED ON THE LORD.

THEY WERE BOUND WITH FEAR, WORRY AND DOUBT,

AND THEY WERE MISSING A GREAT OPPORTUNITY.

THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS PRESENTED TWICE A DAY

FOR 40 DAYS, WHICH WAS 80 TIMES, TO EACH ONE

OF THESE SOLDIERS IN THE ISRAELITE ARMY.

IF YOUR MIND IS STAYED ON GOD, YOU WILL NOT MISS

ONE OPPORTUNITY, LET ALONE, 80 OPPORTUNITIES.

AFTER 40 DAYS, THE CIRCUMSTANCES DIDN'T CHANGE,

GOLIATH WAS STILL THERE.

GOLIATH WAS STILL MOCKING, AND HE WAS STILL WAITING

FOR SOMEONE TO STEP FORTH FROM THE ISRAELITE ARMY.

AT THIS POINT, GOD JUST NEEDED SOMEONE,

ANYONE THAT HAD HIS MIND STAYED ON GOD.

IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT A YOUNG BOY NAMED DAVID

COMES INTO THE PICTURE.

DAVID, EAGER TO PLEASE, AND HAVING TOTAL CONFIDENCE IN-

CONFIDENCE IN GOD WAS WILLING TO FIGHT GOLIATH.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAVID AND EVERYBODY ELSE,

WAS HIS MIND WAS STAYED ON GOD!

DAVID TRUSTED IN GOD, AND EVERYONE ELSE

WAS BOUND WITH FEAR!

THE CIRCUMSTANCES NEVER CHANGED: GOLIATH WAS

STILL THERE WAITING WITH HIS HELMET OF BRASS,

HIS FULL BODY ARMOR, WITH A SWORD AND A SHIELD AND A SPEAR;

HE WAS READY FOR BATTLE.

GOLIATH HAD MAN'S BEST.

DAVID CAME IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.

AFTER GOLIATH WAS DONE MOCKING DAVID,

DAVID RESPONDED IN FIRST SAMUELS, CHAPTER 17, VERSE 45.

"THEN SAID DAVID TO THE PHILISTINE, THOU COMEST TO ME

WITH A SWORD, AND WITH A SPEAR, AND WITH A SHIELD:

BUT I COME TO THEE IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OF HOSTS,

THE GOD OF THE ARMIES OF ISRAEL,

WHOM THOU HAST DEFIED."

WHEN DAVID WAS FACE-TO- FACE WITH THE ENEMY,

IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT DAVID- THAT DAVID JUST HAD

A SLING AND A-FIVE STONES, AND THAT EVERYONE

IN THE ISRAELITE ARMY WERE WATCHING WITH FEAR,

WORRY AND DOUBT; DAVID KNEW HE HAD GOD ON HIS SIDE,

AND HIS MIND WAS STAYED ON GOD.

IT WAS JUST DAVID AND GOD.

GOD CAN USE US IN A GREAT WAY WHEN OUR MIND IS

STAYED ON HIM SO THAT WE CAN HAVE THE VICTORY

JUST LIKE DAVID RECEIVED THE VICTORY OVER GOLIATH.

THE APOSTLE PAUL KNEW WHATEVER CIRCUMSTANCES

THE DAY WOULD BRING THAT HE WOULD HAVE THE VICTORY

THROUGH THE LORD.

PAUL SAID IN SECOND TIMOTHY, CHAPTER 1, VERSE 12,

"FOR I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED, AND I AM PERSUADED

THAT HE IS ABLE TO KEEP THAT WHICH

I HAVE COMMITTED UNTO HIM AGAINST THAT DAY."

PAUL HAD HIS MIND SET ON THE CONFIDENCE

AND TRUE SECURITY IN JESUS CHRIST.

WHAT YOU HAVE YOUR MIND SET ON WILL DETERMINE

HOW SUCCESSFUL YOU ARE IN THE LORD.

THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE FOCUSED ON THE PROMISES OF HEAVEN,

AND THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRITS

WILL GROW QUICKLY IN THE LORD.

PAUL HAD HIS MIND STAYED ON THE LORD.

THE DEVIL IS GOING TO TRY TO HAVE YOUR MIND

STAYED ON FEAR, WORRY AND DOUBT.

FEAR, WORRY AND DOUBT WILL NEVER MAKE YOUR SITUATION BETTER;

IN FACT, ALL IT CAN DO

IS MAKE YOUR SITUATION WORSE.

WHEN PAUL AND SILAS WERE SPREADING THE GOSPEL,

AND DOING A GREAT WORK FOR THE LORD, THEY WERE HEADING UP

FOR PRAYER, AND A CERTAIN DAMSEL POSSESSED

WITH A SPIRIT OF DIVINATION MET THEM.

NOW, THIS WOMAN BROUGHT HER MASTERS MUCH GAIN,

AND AS SHE WAS FOLLOWING PAUL AND SILAS, SHE WOULD SAY THAT

"THESE MEN ARE SERVANTS OF THE MOST HIGH GOD,

WHICH SHOW US THE WAY OF SALVATION."

FINALLY, AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF HINDERING PAUL AND SILAS,

PAUL WAS SO GRIEVED THAT HE "TURNED AND SAID

TO THE SPIRIT, I COMMAND THEE IN THE NAME

OF JESUS CHRIST, COME OUT OF HER."

PAUL HAD HIS MIND STAYED ON THE LORD, AND THE LORD

NOW THIS YOUNG WOMAN'S MASTERS WERE NOT HAPPY

WITH HER DELIVERANCE.

THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT HER SOUL; THEY WERE CONCERNED

THAT THEY WERE GOING TO LOSE A LOT OF MONEY.

IN FACT, THEY WERE SO ANGRY THAT THEY BROUGHT

PAUL AND SILAS TO THE MAGISTRATES TO COMPLAIN,

IN ACTS, CHAPTER 16, VERSES 19-24.

"AND WHEN HER MASTERS SAW THAT THE HOPE OF THEIR-

OF THEIR GAINS WAS GONE, THEY CAUGHT PAUL AND SILAS,

AND DREW THEM INTO THE MARKETPLACE UNTO THE RULERS,

AND BROUGHT THEM TO THE MAGISTRATES,

SAYING, THESE MEN, BEING JEWS, DOING EXCEEDINGLY

TROUBLE OUR CITY, AND TEACH CUSTOMS, WHICH ARE

NOT LAWFUL FOR US TO RECEIVE,

NEITHER TO OBSERVE, BEING ROMANS.

AND THE MULTITUDE ROSE UP AGAIN-TOGETHER AGAINST THEM:

AND THE MAGISTRATES RENT OFF THEIR CLOTHES,

AND COMMANDED TO BEAT THEM.

AND WHEN THEY HAD LAID MANY STRIPES UPON THEM,

THEY CAST THEM INTO PRISON, CHARGING THE JAILOR

TO KEEP THEM SAFELY: WHO, HAVING RECEIVED

SUCH A CHARGE, THRUST THEM INTO THE INNER PRISON,

AND MADE THEIR FEET FAST IN THE STOCKS."

AFTER MANY STRIPES WERE LAID UPON PAUL AND SILAS,

THEY WERE THROWN INTO PRISON.

IN THE NATURAL, IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE ANYTHING IS

REALLY GOING PAUL AND SILAS' WAY.

THEY DO A GOOD DEED, AND THEY'RE WHIPPED

AND THROWN INTO PRISON.

AT THIS POINT, MOST CHRISTIANS IN THEIR SITUATION

MIGHT BE ASKING "WHY?"

INSTEAD OF HAVING THEIR MIND STAYED ON THE LORD.

PAUL AND SILAS ARE IN PRISON AND HAVE PERFECT PEACE.

THEY ARE NOT COMPLAINING OR CRYING HOW THEY ARE BEATEN;

NO, YOU FIND THEM SINGING PRAISES UNTO GOD.

THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PAUL AND SILAS

AND MOST CHRISTIANS.

THEY WERE SINGING SO LOUD

THAT THE OTHER PRISONERS HEARD THEM.

IN ACTS, CHAPTER 16, VERSE 25 AND 26.

"AND AT MIDNIGHT PAUL AND SILAS PRAYED, AND SANG PRAISES

UNTO GOD: AND THE PRISONERS HEARD THEM.

AND SUDDENLY THERE WAS A GREAT EARTHQUAKE..."

SO THAT THEY, EXCUSE ME, "SO THAT THE FOUNDATION

OF THE PRISON WERE SHAKEN: AND IMMEDIATELY ALL THE DOORS

WERE OPENED, AND EVERY ONE'S BANDS WERE LOOSE."

PAUL AND SILAS HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO ESCAPE,

BUT THEIR MIND WAS STAYED ON THE LORD

AND THEY WERE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY GHOST.

AND WHEN THE KEEPER OF THE PRISON WAS READY TO COMMIT

SUICIDE BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THE PRISONERS HAD ESCAPED,

PAUL CRIED OUT WITH A LOUD VOICE, AND LET THE KEEPER KNOW

THAT THEY WERE ALL STILL THERE.

IN ACTS, CHAPTER 16, VERSES 29-31.

AND "HE," MEANING, THE KEEPER, "CALLED FOR A LIGHT,

AND SPRANG IN, AND CAME TREMBLING,

AND FELL DOWN BEFORE PAUL AND SILAS, AND BROUGHT THEM OUT,

AND SAID, SIRS, WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

AND THEY SAID, BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST,

AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED, AND THY HOUSE."

BECAUSE PAUL AND SILAS HAD THEIR MINDS STAYED ON THE LORD

AND TRUSTED IN GOD, THE HOLY GHOST WAS ABLE TO FEED THEM

GOD THOUGHTS, AND DIRECT THEM HOW GOD WANTED

THEIR SIT-SITUATION TO BE HANDLED.

JUST THINK; PAUL AND SILAS WERE BEATEN AND THROWN INTO PRISON,

BUT THE END RESULT WAS A YOUNG WOMAN

WHO WAS BOUND WITH A SPIRIT, AND WAS FORCED

TO DO THE DEVIL'S WORK, RECEIVED HER DELIVERANCE.

AND THE KEEPER OF THE PRISON AND HIS FAMILY

WERE ABLE TO RECEIVE THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL,

THE MIRACLE OF SALVATION.

PAUL AND SILAS HAD THEIR MINDS STAYED ON THE LORD,

AND GOD WAS ABLE TO WORK THROUGH THEM IN A GREAT WAY.

I'M SURE THE KEEPER OF THE PRISON RECOGNIZED JESUS

IN PAUL AND SILAS

BECAUSE HE AND HIS FAMILY WANTED TO GET SAVED.

THE KEEPER SAW THE DIFFERENCE IN THEIR LIVES.

[SINoALICE] Combat Explained | SNA for Beginners - Duration: 3:43.

Wassup peeps, it's Kaine from LightningKetchup and welcome to another tutorial

on how combat works in SINoALICE.

The combat in this game is a real-time strategy that works just like how scissors-paper-stone

would, except you already know what your opponent's hand would be.

The Element Wheel shown on the side is the weakness vs resistance

of the elements in the game.

Fire beats Earth, Earth beats Water, Water beats Fire.

Abusing the weakness gives you roughly a 1.5x extra damage,

Going against it, however, reduces the damage to about 0.5x of the full damage

Before I jump into the actual combat, here's

some analogies you would need to know first.

The background colour on the weapons shows it's element alignment.

The person icon shows whether the attack is single-target or AoE

(how many enemies it targets differs from weapon to weapon)

The icon beside it has 4 types

: the sword icon does damage

(whether physical or magical depends on the weapon, as stated in the weapon description)

the heart icon heals, the arrow up is a buff, arrow down is a debuff.

The icon below every waifu is from left to right;

Physical Attack and Defense, Magical Attack and Defense respectively.

Red means buffed, blue means debuffed.

The green circle that burns down around your waifu

shows the cooldown until your next move is possible.

Now into the actual combat,

it's rather simple once you've understand the analogies

stated earlier, really.

This is how it works :

single tap on a nightmare to target it.

tap again on a nightmare for a normal attack.

The attack takes up 10 SP

It doesn't quite have very high damage, but might be useful to

pick off low-hp nightmares and save your skills.

However, you wouldn't want to be doing this very much.

Here you are given weapons on the bottom of the screen, these are skills to be used at

your disposal, Every skill requires an amount of SP to cast, as shown here

confirm the alignment of the nightmare and use the element wheel to

abuse it's weakness if possible.

You'll want to be doing this all the time.

For buffs, you can also tap on your teammates to target them,

then use the buff or heal skill on them.

It's worth noting that heals will by default

perform on the lowest HP member alive without targeting.

For all AoEs, the 2nd onwards target is chosen at random,

but you can control the main target to hit.

If you run out of weapons it will take you 20SP to resupply them.

this button opens the tab to use your nightmares summons,

it takes up a significant amount of SP, use wisely.

Extra tips : you can also use the auto-mode, but it's not encouraged as it is slow, and

let's be honest, the AI isn't very smart.

Long press on a weapon to see what it does, it should give you information on it's damage

type whether physical or magical, how many target it performs on,

as well as what buff or debuff it gives.

Every 5 in-game seconds your SP will recharge by 10.

CS:GO UPDATE: REMOVE HUD + GREAT WINGMAN ADDONS - Duration: 2:31.

Hey guys, Maxim here.

A CS:GO update of 60 MB was just released.

What I really find interesting with this update and what I consider a big adjustment, is the

fact that cl_draw_only_deathnotices no longer requires sv_cheats 1.

This command is used to hide the hud but still keep the death notifications on, it's often

used together with montages or highlights.

The fact that you can use it now without sv_cheats enabled is pretty cool because developers

will now be able to utilize custom hud's better and more efficiently.

If you've seen the PGL stream you will notice that they use a custom hud.

It also gives you an FPS boost because the hud is removed.

Another thing I really appreciate with this change is that you can customize if you want

to show the radar and also if you want to show team id's.

This way you can play on a server without promoting it, or if someone's being offensive

you can hide, or if you simply just want less stuff on the screen.

It goes very well together with surf and bhop servers when you just want to chill and you're

not really in need of the hud.

I really think this is the best part of the update, but let's continue.

The other part of this update is for the gamemode Wingman where you play 2v2 competitively.

It will be available after War Games has ended.

There's two new changes and I think they're really good.

Number 1, you'll be able to solo-queue which means you don't need a teammate to join your

lobby to play and number 2 you will be able to play Inferno and Cobblestone.

But I have a feeling that they will most likely be remakes for Wingman to make them smaller.

Another great addon is when you're going solo you'll have a higher chance of playing against

other solo players and when you're pre-mates you will have a higher chance of playing against

other pre-mates.
