I have grass growing in my vegetable garden,

what kind is it?

And this is from Charles in Arlington.

As you can see there, on the screen, Nut Sedge.

- (Booker) Nut Sedge.

- What do you think about Nut Sedge?

- In a vegetable garden, I don't recommend

a whole lot of chemicals in a vegetable garden.

It might interfere with the plants,

the vegetables you have in there.

If you can just go, and you have two hours,

go out and pull it out there.

If you can.

- (Chris) That Nut Sedge is

gonna be tough.

- Yeah, it'll be tough, now.

Well then maybe you could get chemical,

something like that just gets right

on the plant or something.

Like some RoundUp or something.

Just touch that on that, it might help some.

But you don't wanna get it around your plant though.

- I think during the growing season,

I would smother it with some cardboard or something.

- That's my point yeah.

- And then when the plants are harvested,

then attack it with Image or Manage

or whatever you're gonna use.

- (Chris) That's right, that's right.

- That would be my take anyways.

- That would be my take as well.

- I think it's not best for gardening like this though.

- Not if you're gonna eat the plant.

- Yeah, anything that's edible for the most part,

I don't like sprayin' things.

- Makes me nervous.

- Right, I mean, of course there are some chemicals

that you can spray in a vegetable garden.

They're actually labeled for vegetable gardens.

Basagran is one, Halosulfurn is another one.

But I like to smother 'em.

- (Booker) Yeah smother 'em.

- But you know how tough Nut grass is.

I mean, it's an indicator of a lot of moisture.

- (Rick) Yes, it is.

- (Chris) So, watch your irrigating.

- And they might want to build that soil up

so the level of that garden's a little higher

than the surrounding area.

Add some amendments to it to bulk it up.

Q&A - What can I do to grow tomatoes and veggies on a north facing balcony? - Duration: 1:43.

I recently moved into a high rise

with a 24 by 5 foot balcony.

What can I do to grow tomatoes

and other veggies on a north-facing balcony?

And this is from Doug.

So, Mister Rick, whoo...

- Sounds windy.

(laughs)

- It has been windy.

- Okay, I guess I would definitely

cage them or trellis them.

You're gonna get early morning

and late afternoon sun on the north side.

So it'd be worth a try.

I don't think that production will be as good as full sun,

but possibly cherry tomatoes

because they're a little tougher.

But I'd definitely use large containers

'cause they're gonna dry out fast out there.

And check the watering daily.

- Anything you'd like to add to that?

- That's probably good.

'Cause like Rick said, they dry out fast in the container.

And also, in the container you can move it around

a little bit and turn it around

to different locations there,

when they're in containers.

- (Rick) Pick a spot.

- Pick out the best spot for them.

You can't grow a lot but probably tomatoes and peppers,

but they're probably the only two good things

that you can grow good on that there.

- Right, you know, we recently talked

about hydroponic systems.

- I think hydroponic, we've been messing

with that at the garden some.

And we've found that really and truly,

even in a greenhouse, that whole greenhouse

has to be devoted to hydroponics.

If you try to grow plants and soil

in the same greenhouse space,

it's not as efficient for whatever reason.

We found it just didn't work as well.

- (Chris) Interesting.

- So, outdoors, I don't know.

Dropped at New York // #WANNAFLY - Duration: 9:14.

Hey, guys! My name is Valera and I #WANNAFLY.

Wanna fly so bad that ended up in New York.

I got really scared after my second flight was super late

on my way to the fest.

So I decided to get extra time on the way back

and arrived to New York a day before my flight to Moscow.

So, let's check out the city and talk about the fest.

As the last year it were guys from #JointheTeem who invited me to the fest.

Together we edited videos about all the fun that was going on at the DZ.

Skydive Carolina is round year DZ between states North Carolina and South Carolina.

It was pretty hot at june so we mostly jumped in shirts and tees.

The best way to check out the city is to go for a run.

Let's go!

Central Park!

Running down from the Park to the River.

Squirrel!

Ran about 6 miles.

Gotta get back to the hostel. Need to save some energy for the rest of the day.

Let's go back!

As I've said before, I lived at the tent for a week, so I need some time to wash all the clothes.

As soon as I finish here we are gonna go for a walk.

Did not many jumps as I wanted.

Most of the time we created and shot and edited the videos.

Okay, we all want to fly. Let's go watch this place from the highest point possible.

All the famous places are good and all but what I like the most when traveling

is to talk with people.

It is great to see some old friends and meet the new ones.

People are very nice. Everybody very helpful. You see smiles everywhere.

I think it should be like that no matter what country in are the boogie or festival.

Okay, now I gonna go on a date. You know the girl. She's pretty famous.

Because of the carnival theme

we went nuts with all the costumes.

Raft boat, inflatable dolphins, zebras, you name it.

And' of course, The Illegal Ninja.

Late for a movie. Want to watch the Alien before I leave.

It was a really nice day. Time to go to the airport.

I'm gonna go through customs now.

Hope you like travel with me.

I'm Valera #WANNAFLY. See Ya!

Q&A – Should I cut pampas grass back every fall? - Duration: 1:41.

I have four Pampas Grass plants

and they have done well blooming.

I did not cut them back during the fall

and now they look like they are dying.

Should I cut Pampas Grass back every fall?

What do I do to save them?

And this is Miss Elizabeth.

And Miss Elizabeth, we just happen to have

Rick here who can answer that question.

- Well, that's a a difficult question.

Pampas grass is an evergreen grass.

It does not normally die back

unless we have a very severe winter.

So, and it's kind of a saw-tooth edge blade,

which is not pleasant to work with.

But what I would have done,

probably back in March before the new growth came out,

is wear gloves and get in there with the shears

and cut out the dead leaves and leave the green ones.

Now there's probably enough new growth

that it would be almost impossible to do.

I would give it a shot of fertilizer

and keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Surely there's some growth there.

If it's not by now, it's toast.

- Wow, okay, yeah she said,

now they look like they're dying.

- So not good.

- I like that information.

I just put one out too at home, the Pampas Grass.

- It is an evergreen grass,

I've seen people kill it by cutting it to the ground.

- (Chris) I've seen that as well.

- And then there's not enough for photosynthesis,

for it to get restarted.

- So, fertilize it and see what happens?

- That's what I would do.

Q&A - Why does my Crape Myrtle have curling leaves? - Duration: 2:29.

We have a Crepe Myrtle with curly leaves, even the soft new ones.

The tree is approximately six years old.

We planted several at the same time, but this is the only one that has curly leaves.

It has been this way for several years, but this seems to be getting worse.

Do you have any suggestions?

I don't see any pests, unlike the others, it did not get the scale last year.

And this is from Art in Eads.

The leaves are curled, from the picture.

They don't have scales, 'cause obviously he knows about the Crepe Myrtle Bark Scale.

- Chemical damage you think?

Chemical got on there, some of the leaves gonna curl up.

And way the leaves look, could be a nutrient deficiency too, light green leaves on the

plants.

To me it looks like a chemical burn or something that's been on there a while.

I don't know, but what it look like.

And also need some nutrient there, like phosphorus in there.

- I definitely thought it could be chemicals, and here's why.

Because if you think about the chemicals that are applied on lawns, they're phenoxy herbicides

right?

So they're growth regulator chemicals.

So any time you have leaves that curl upward, it's dicamba causes that.

Dicamba's in a lot of your broad leaf weed herbicides.

If it cups downwards, that's 24d damage.

So these leaves are curling upward, which is why I think, could be wrong, dicamba.

- [Booker] It look like a chemical burn.

- 'Cause again, a lot of people use that in their lawn, or in their flower beds to kill

broad leaf weeds.

- And people don't think about the root system extending beyond that little circle of mulch.

- [Chris] That's right.

- And round, there's a tree.

- [Chris] This is exactly right.

- So it could very well be.

- Could be, and something else to consider as well, most of your plants, many of your

plants are broad leaf.

- Yes, exactly right.

- Yeah, so, I think that could be the case.

- I think it look like that, and also a nutrient deficiency on the back of the leaf, beginning

to turn pale yellow.

- Alright, so I hope that helps you out.

And make sure you're scouting for those scales too or aphids or whatever else might be out

there as well

How To Improve Your Putting Grip And Correct Thumb Placement - Duration: 2:40.

Hello.

I'm Brian Fitzgerald The Golf Doctor.

And today I am going to talk to you a little bit about the putting grip.I am going to see

if we can get you gripping the club better.

Stay Tuned.

[MUSIC]

Okay.

If this is your first time to this channel.

Welcome.

This channel is all about helping you play better golf.Today I thought I would show you

a couple of little things to do with the putting grip.

And I have produced a video before on how to obtain the Reverse Overlap Putting Grip.

Which I can put a link to at the top of the page.

But today there is a lot of grips we can talk about.

There is the claw grip.

There is cross handed.

But I am going to stick to the standard putting grip.

Which is the reverse overlap.

So when I do that reverse overlap grip.

What I'm hoping to achieve here is that I want my hands to mirror each other. So if I

had my thumbs straight down.

That will work quite well.

I can also get my thumbs on a slight angle so you ca see they are opposing each other.

What I don't want when I am taking my grip is to have one thumb my right thumb straight

down.

And this left thumb off at a 45 degree angle.

Whatever my left thumb does I want my right thumb to mirror it.

This is where people go wrong.

They have a straight left thumb down there as I have got it there.

Then their right hand comes down.

Now I am ok with having both of them down.

I am ok with both of them being across.

We can't have one hand doing one thing and the other doing the other thing.

Because then it does not work.

So my own preference and I have got this big thick Rosemark 1.52 grip Which is quite thick.

So that means it is much easier for me to get my hands down on that angle there.

My thumbs are opposing each other.

They're slightly under.

And that helps me to lock my wrists together.

And the more I can lock my wrists together, when I putt.

The less wrist action I m going to use.

So that's how I recommend you do the putter.

So thank you for letting me help you improve your golf.

Q&A - Can I use 2 or 3 fungicides at the same time? - Duration: 1:28.

What happens if I use two or three different

fungicides at the same time?

And this is from Abdul, again, YouTube.

- So Booker you want first crack at that one?

- You don't wanna mix anything together,

'cause could cause a reaction to some plant

or whatever you have.

It might not, one of 'em might not begin to work good.

So I probably wouldn't be wastin' time

using two different fungicide or herbicides

at the same time on there.

- I would agree.

You might want to alternate the use

because different resistance or whatever.

But I wouldn't use two together either.

- I wouldn't use two or three together either, Abdul.

And my reason is this, it's a waste of money.

'Cause if you use two or three,

what if they're in the same class

or have the same mode of action?

Then you're just wastin' money.

You're wastin' product.

And then, that could also be phytotoxicity.

- (Rick) Yeah, correct.

- So, I wouldn't use any more than one.

- Follow the directions.

- Find the rest.

- Read that label on there,

I know some of your bigger chemical companies,

are now introducing more chemistries

into some of their products.

But, as a homeowner...

- (Booker) I'd just use one.

- Just one Abdul.

Proper Way to Cut a Tree Branch – This Week in the Garden - Duration: 1:36.

- We're gonna remove this limb off of this Magnolia.

It's dying, we have dead tissue out here.

And to make a proper pruning cut,

you wanna leave between 1/4 to 1/2 inch collar.

Now I don't wanna strip any bark off the bottom,

so I'm gonna cut in about 1/4 inch

on the bottom of this limb.

And I'm gonna come on top, and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch,

I'm gonna make the cut.

And there we are.

You can see the bottom cut here,

where I've made the bottom cut,

I almost didn't go enough.

You see how this is hangin', this tissue's hangin' here,

and I have a little tissue hanging here.

If I'd not made the bottom cut,

when I cut this, this bark would've peeled

all the way down.

And that would've created a source

of entry for bad organisms.

But as it is now, we've got kind of a straight cut here.

And we've got a 1/2 to 1/4 inch collar where it can heal.

If you cut too close to the trunk of a tree,

when it heals, it'll create almost a hole

inside the trunk of the tree.

This, when it heals completely,

should be pretty smooth and it should be

on the outer portion of the trunk

of this tree.

TOP 10 VIDEO GAMES TO LOOK OUT FOR FROM E3 2017 #E32017 - Duration: 7:43.

E3 is the foremost event for video gaming,

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is where pretty much all games are announced,

And while a huge amount of trailers and more were released,

We've gathered up our top 10 video games to look out for from E3 2017

10.

CALL OF DUTY WWII

Call of Duty in my eyes has long been saturated with the same old stuff,

I'm not a big multiplayer fan in general, I buy games for the campaigns,

I like stories that evolve over time and doing that with friends is great but fighting them

in the same ways over and over again gets old quick.

CoD 2 was the last one I played, not modern warfare 2 as everyone assumes, the literal

2nd Call of Duty game set in the Great War,

Well, this bad boy is set in World War 2, it has what looks to be a good campaign and

even the multiplayer has been remade with a more MMO feel to it where you can actually

talk to the people in a kind of central hub.

This is the first Call of Duty for a long time that I want to play, and it seems many

others are getting hyped to.

Call of Duty World War II is due for release on the 3rd of November this year and will

be available on the PS4, Xbox One and the PC.

9.

SEA OF THIEVES

An extremely fun looking game, not to be taken too seriously,

saying that though it has a surprising amount of depth,

It is an open world MMO Action Adventure RPG,

It is of course about pirates, you and your buddies sail a ship around to many different

explorable island and shipwrecks and the like hunting for treasure, many different ways

to do this to suit each individual,

If you really wanted to you could just swim everywhere, but the Sharks would probably

get you sooner or later.

A much more casual look at the MMO genre, great to see and can be expected at some point

during spring of 2018 on Xbox One and PC only.

8.

CODE VEIN

This game looks so weird but amazing,

It's got anime style characters that don't look like they fit their surroundings, but

it kinda somehow just works,

A very very big Final Fantasy style atmosphere with a look of Dark Souls too.

It's got Vampires, Anime hotties, Swords, Magic, what more do you need?

This was an announcement video and was shown without a release date of any kind, it also

didn't specify what platforms,

But it did play in the Xbox Briefing so Xbox One is a solid bet, but I could see this being

one of the few titles to hit all 4 Major platforms, the Switch being the 4th.

7.

SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY

This one surprised me,

It takes you right back to your youth, if you are near my age of course, to playing

Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64,

It was 3D and had crazy awesome huge levels that were full of just fun original puzzles.

Super Mario Odyssey appears to be a true return to form with a Nintendo game doing exactly

what a Nintendo game does best.

Being really really fun, just fun, doesn't need to be difficult, or have super flashy

graphics or have any gimmicks, it just needs to be a delightful respite from the woes of

life.

Super Mario Odyssey is due for release on the 27th of October, delighting all switch

users with a near 100% certainty.

6.

SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS

A surprise addition to the Sony press conference line up,

A complete remake of the original for ultra high-def consoles and the like, other than

some tweaks that can now be used due to more powerful hardware,

The game will be a literal remake, all of the same content from the original is being

remade,

The 8 colossi that were cut from the original are also cut from this, there is no new content.

I never played the original but it is on my list of games that I must play purely down

to PewDiePie's passion for this game,

I like similar games in general so I know I'll enjoy it and now I can wait for an even

better-looking version to come out.

Shadow of the Colossus is set to be release in 2018, no specific release date has yet

been given.

Judging by the fact that Sony owns the trademark and it's a heavily Sony funded game, I'm gonna

go out on a limb and say it will likely be PS4 Exclusive.

5.

GOD OF WAR

In a Soft reboot that's sure to get your love for Norse mythology pumping,

God of War appears to have some fairly amazing action but is very story driven,

You appear to have gained a son very recently that you have very little faith in,

he's kinda tiny and still has his innocence in a world full of terrors.

You will teach him and you will fight together,

For what is yet to be revealed.

Set for release in early 2018 it is a Playstation Exclusive

4.

BEYOND GOOD & EVIL 2

In a galaxy where humans have colonised many planets and started to create human-animal

hybrids for the purposes of slave labour,

Space pirates will emerge.

A huge game taking place on numerous planet each with different choice, each choice affect

many other things,

your reputation, your allies, your loot, the ability to enter somewhere,

It's time for your hybrid ass to carve out a piece of this galaxy for yourself.

Watching the trailer is a good way to get an idea of this game and even then it won't

really help you fully understand the potential it has for greatness.

With no known release date and not even a solid platform, we're all a bit in the dark

here,

Ubisoft themselves announced it, be interesting to find out more though.

3.

SHADOW OF WAR

The more you see of this lord of the rings spin-off game the more you like it,

Shadow of Mordor shook things up with its nemesis system, having an enemy you maimed

or supposedly killed be resurrected or healed to then train up and hunt you for revenge

is an amazing concept for a game.

Well, this time the nemesis system has been beefed up like crazy with new features, the

game just looks like a massively upgraded version of the original,

which is what a sequel should be! listen to the fans, and study your previous work, the

best way to improve your content.

Set for release on the 10th of October for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

2.

METRO EXODUS

This is one of the few that really got me hyped,

To describe the atmosphere would be best said as Fallout yet steam punkish with hints of

Skyrim.

It is none of those games, but also kind of all of them.

It is based on the novels Metro 2033 and 2035 by Dmitry Glukhovsky,

I have not read the book but I might have to after seeing this trailer,

From the name of the book and the trailer itself we can gather it is based around 2034

on Earth after some sort of nuclear war, the weather and slight ash falling present a possible

volcano related apocalypse, but the animals being massively beefed up mutant versions

of wolves and bears and the like seem more like nukes.

The way the trailer works points to a more linear game than open world sandbox, which

if so could be disappointing but still, very very cool looking and one of my most anticipated

games from E3 2017.

With an extremely loose release date of 2018 it was announced at the Xbox Briefing with

no comment of exclusivity, so we can expect PS4, Xbox One and PC.

1.

ANTHEM

Anthem was announced at the end of the Xbox Briefing at E3,

It is BioWare's secret Project Dylan and it looks absolutely amazing,

An open World MMO RPG Action Adventure game set in a world that has seen troubles for

humanity and been reclaimed by many beasts and monsters,

You are a Hero of humanity armed with a super high tech Exo-Suit and powerful weapons,

Your mission is to better the future of humanity either as a lone wolf or with the help of

your friends.

Anthem has no specific release date, only said to hopefully be released in 2018, it

will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

If you wish for more information on Anthem, you can click the card in the top right now
