Waching daily Jun 18 2017

To this I mean: All buttons work, but the shot does not

But if I press very hard ... uff, neither pressing strong either

Let's see now...

No ... there is no way ...

Hello friends, first of all I apologize for taking so long to upload a video, you know that I'm messing with a somewhat complex project

This is a cannon scarecrow, I am encountering many difficulties, but I can not be so long without uploading a video

So I'll have to put it another way. I will do this kind of difficult projects in the shade, that is, interrupting them to make videos shorter, easier, or to do them in parts, each part a video

I'll probably write a little article on my blog explaining the subject a little

This video of today is NOT a video of filling, that I am very interested in this video of today

It is a remote control or any other device based on a keyboard, such as this game console (a bit old, I know)

The thing is that we do not want to get rid of that article because we have a lot of affection, or for whatever reason, but it can not be repaired because there are no spare parts

The fault is that some buttons have to be pressed very hard or even don't work

In this case it is not a fault of the internal chip nor a broken track in the printed circuit. The problem is that the contacts are dirty

This is usually solved by unpacking the device and cleaning the keyboard and its contacts. But ... what contacts and how to clean? In this way:

I have already uncovered this little game console, the button that is giving me problems is this, the corresponding to the function of shooting

Well, here is the button that we really pressed from outside, it is by the bottom of this piece and press on this pad

If we turn it around we see the real contacts, they are based on a carbon-like material that is conductive. And makes contact in the printed circuit in these structures

The cleaning consists of rubbing with a cotton swab impregnated with alcohol, both this part of the printed circuit and the contacts of the pad, and with this usually returns to work either a remote control of air conditioning, TV, sound or a video game console

I already cleaned the keyboard of this little game console and it remains the same or even worse. What's going on here?

It is happening that this surface, based on conductive carbon as I said, is detached, weakens, is wearing away and comes a time when only the rubber remains that is insulating

That button is "dead" and no cleaning will restore it. Even more: A cleaning can be counterproductive, as we will remove the little coal that is still ...

So it is clear that the solution is to coat that contact with some conductive and adhesive material

I have tried it with different options, with no result

I've tested it with silver-based paint, the one used to repair the heated rear windows of cars, with no result

I have also tested it with lamp black which is a very fine coal, good conductor of electricity, and that makes conductive any substance to which you add it: Adhesives, paints ... also without results

This time I will try with foil, the one used in cooking, let's see if this works

This is the aluminum foil from which we are going to get some small circles

Which will have the same diameter as the contacts, are 4 millimeters

I will use a very useful tool that is called punch and we'll extract circles of 4 mm

By the way, I thought I had a protective plastic film but not: It is conductive, if you put the tips of the tester you will see that the electrical resistance is almost zero

We smooth it, we support the punch and with a few taps ...

And as you can see, it takes a bite ... it has remained stuck to the wood ... well ... we try again ... aluminum will not miss ...

Now it comes out ... that's it

I've taken out a few circles in case any one spoils

Well, now comes the "fine surgery": I am going to put here, in the contact, a small amount of white glue that I will dispense here to serve me

A tiny drop, here

And then put one of these aluminum discs on that drop of white glue

I have seen that impregnating the rod with a small amount of alcohol this attracts the aluminum discs, and then we can leave it turning the stick

This aluminum disc we can not take with tweezers or with the hands because we are going to deform it

Well, let's do it

Here is a small amount of white glue, with this miniature screwdriver I will put a small drop, well, enough ...

I'm going to take this disk, it looks good

And we deposit it in the contact

Important not to press now

Since the white glue is cool and will spread staining everything and is not interested in staining the surface of the aluminum disc. We'll wait 10 minutes for the white glue to harden a little, and then we will press so that there are no air bubbles and the disk is well stuck

There is a fact to keep in mind: What we put in the contact must be something thin to prevent the contact is pressing even if we do not push the button. That would be undesirable

Wait 10 minutes before pressing to stick it and remove air bubbles

Well, the white glue is already dry. We mount the device and we'll try it...

Let's see if it works or not ...

Space war...

I'll try the shoot function which is this button

yes! yes! YES!

NICE!

I press the button with very little force and it works

Top 10 Things You Need to Know About Cars 3! feat. The AtZ Show - Duration: 9:17.

Hey guys, I'm here, let's get technical!

I just saw Cars 3, and ooooh it's amazing.

I love it so much that today we're gonna look at the Top 10 Things You Need to Know

About Cars 3.

Number One: In Cars 3, Lightning McQueen is based on Kobe Bryant.

In an interview Christina Radish of Collider did with Mike Rich, one of the Cars 3 writers,

Mike noted that basketball player Kobe Bryant really affected the character Lightning McQueen

became in Cars 3.

Mike said he was inspired after reading this Facebook post Kobe Bryant made after he broke

his Achilles Heel.

>> LOUIS CK: Everyone's got an Achilles Heel.

Achilles's Achilles Heel was his heel.

>> ALEX: The post was about Kobe's concerns about the future of his career after his accident,

and includes lines like "This is such BS!

All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I've done millions

of times!

The frustration is unbearable....

Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that was.

Maybe this is how my book ends.

Maybe Father Time has defeated me...Then again maybe not!...

"If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear".

I've always loved that quote.

Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run.

We endure and conquer."

Mike and fellow Cars 3 writer Bob Peterson were touched seeing a man who spent his entire

life cultivating this image of the tough, best basketball player, suddenly being very

vulnerable and genuinely concerned about his future and how he will recover.

They were also inspired by Kobe's hyped up attitude towards the end.

This is reflected in Lightning McQueen in Cars 3.

Sidenote here: Mike Rich is known for work on sports films, and now he's working on

Cars 3.

Huh.

Number Two: Tony Shalhoub is the one of only Disney actors who uses an accent.

Disney isn't fond of it's actors using an accent for a film, because they believe

it can destroy their performance.

Disney only resorts to accents when they either have to, like for the upcoming Spider Man:

Homecoming film...

>> SPIDER MAN: Mr. Stark, here's my report for tonight. I stopped a grand theft bicycle!

Hey, can you do me a favour? Hold on to that! Is this anybody's bike?

>> ELLEN: It is awesome to have you here!

>> TOM HOLLAND: Thank you so much! I love this show, I love you, so thank you, thank you for having me!

>> ALEX: ... or when the actor is just too good to pass up.

Thus, in the Cars franchise, Tony Shalhoub, the actor who voices Luigi, lays on an Italian

accent.

This is how Tony sounds as Luigi...

>> LUIGI: I must scream into the world my excitement from the top of some place very high! Do you know many Ferraris?

>> ALEX: (bad accent) Luigi only follow the Ferraris.

Ooh no.

*laughs* And this is how he sounds in real life.

>> TONY SHALHOUB: Thanks to the Television Academy. To everyone at Universal Television. Uh, USA Network and Studios.

>> ALEX: Number Three: Pixar made a life-sized Lightning McQueen.

As a promotional stunt for the film, John Lasseter, the director of Cars 1 and 2 and one of

the men behind Pixar, revealed a real-life Lightning McQueen at the North American International

Auto Show in Detroit.

Roll the clip!

*shows clip of a bolt of lighting with a crown to the theme of afro circus, which Alex sings terribly*

Hehheh nah I'm just kidding.

Roll the real clip!

The remotely control, life-sized McQueen was revealed in early January, and with it came

an in-depth look into the new characters in Cars 3.

Number Four: The late Paul Newman voices Doc Hudson.

If you've seen Cars 3 already, you might have noticed Lightning McQueen flashing-back

to Doc Hudson, his mentor and trainer from Cars 1.

While the voice actor for Doc Hudson, Paul Newman, passed away in 2008, that's his

actual voice used in those flashbacks!

They got Paul Newman's voice by repurposing some of the audio recorded for Cars 1, which

is definitely not an unknown practice in Hollywood.

To find out more, Dirk Libbey of CinemaBlend interviewed Brian Fee, the director of Cars

3, who said quote, "We have lots of Paul Newman in the movie, which was because when

John [Lasseter] was recording Paul Newman in Cars 1, John always kept the tape [running]....

We were always recording, and Paul would tell stories in between takes, and John just 'keep

it going.'

We had 28 hours of Paul Newman stuff that we were able to listen to and repurpose."

Think about that: they have over a full day of recordings of Paul Newman.

Dude should make a podcast.

Number Five: Speaking of Brian Fee...

Cars 3 is his directorial debut, but he's been a regular over at Disney/Pixar.

He was a prop designer on The Little Mermaid 2, 101 Dalmatians 2, Mulan 2, Tarzan 2, and

the Fox and the Hound 2.

Up in Emeryville, he was a storyboard designer for Cars, Ratatouille, Wall-E, and Cars 2.

Number Six: Speaking of Storyboards...

>> OFF SCREEN: This is gonna get old!

>> ALEX: Yea, I know!

Speaking of storyboards, 81,924 were designed in the process of making Cars 3, but only

10,102 were actually depicted scenes in the final movie.

Storyboard are, of course, sketches depicting each shot of a film.

Number Seven: Jackson Storm is carefully designed.

When the Cars 3 team set out to design Jackson Storm, the wanted to create a car that looked

like the exact opposite of Lightning McQueen in every way possible.

They did this by designing Jackson Storm in the following ways:

Compared to Lightning McQueen's quite curvy body, Jackson Storm is sleeker, sharper, and

a bit shorter, like he hugs the ground.

On top of that, Jackson Storm still looks completely realistic.

A matter of fact, the Cars 3 team went to various car shows, explored actual race tracks

like the Sonoma raceway, and consulted Ray Evernham, who used to be the crew chief of

Hendrick Motorsports, when designing Jackson Storm.

All of the allowed them to design him to the best possible standard.

Heck, even things like the shininess of Storm or the amount of metal flakes in each paint

color were crazy accurate!

Not even my editing in post production is that accur-

Number Eight: Cars 3 vs. Cars 1.

Cars 3 is much more like Cars 1, in the sense of emotional complexity, and, really, overall

goodness.

John Lasseter told Entertainment Weekly, quote, "[Cars 3 is] a very emotional story.

It's a little bit more akin to Cars 1, where you get into a deep emotion with [Lightning

McQueen]," subtilty hinting at the less than favourable reaction to Cars 2.

Moreover, the movie seems like sorta the opposite of Cars 1.

In Cars 1, Lightning McQueen is the new, cool car that all the other cars fear, but in Cars

3, coming out 11 years after Cars 1, Lightning McQueen is now one of the old champs who has

to face the newer, better generation of cars.

For those who like analogies, The King is to Lightning McQueen in the first film as

Lightning McQueen is to Jackson Storm in the third film.

For those who don't like analogies, I'm sorry, that was very convoluted *laughs a

bit*

A matter of fact, this is echoed in the movie's music.

In the bar scene after Lightning and Cruz visit Doc Hudson's old race track, a couple

forklifts can be seen and heard singing Glory Days, a song by one of my favourite singer-songwriters,

Bruce Springsteen.

The song is about a man who is past his prime, and past his "Glory Days," so now he sits

around and reflects on them.

In verse 3 of Glory Days, Bruce emotionally sings the he is, "just sitting back trying

to recapture a little of the glory."

Glory Days reflects Lightning McQueen's story in the movie: he was once the great,

new, fresh racer, but now he "takes a back seat" (pun totally intended) to the newer

cars and is left to reflect on the career that once was.

Number Nine: Cars 3 Being Super Dark.

Despite what you probably saw in the pretty dark marketing, when you actually see the

movie, you realize that Cars 3 isn't a super intense sad-fest.

I mean, the movie is rated G!

Other movies that are rated G include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mary Poppins,

and the Peanuts Movie, so it makes sense Cars 3 isn't full-on Manchester by the Sea.

Although, as Scott Mendelson explains in this article he wrote for Forbes, the intense marketing

was a real win for Pixar.

Especially after the not-amazing Cars 2, going out to see a whole new Cars would be on the

front of people's mind, but throwing in this sorta-shocking, sorta-controversial ad

got people talking.

It got people interested.

I know it definitely had that effect on me.

Though I definitely would have seen it anyways, so.

Number Ten: The Demolition Derby.

To tell us more about the Demolition Derby, we Art from the AtZ Show.

>> ART: Hi Alex!

>> ALEX: Howdy!

Take it away!

>> ART: There's tons of cool stuff to be found in the demolition derby scene, starting off with mud!

Believe it or not, mud it one of the hardest things to animate.

And in this movie, they animate mud in 616 scenes.

The reason it is so hard to animate is because

it's thicker than water, but it's still a liquid, and there's bunch of it, constantly

interacting with the cars, so you can imagine how much work went into animating mud!

On top of that, there's 2 huge easter eggs in this scene.

And one of them is the The Pizza Planet Truck, who takes us all the way back to Toy Story.

It's a thing that we see in almost every single Pixar film, and in this one, we find out that he is, um, named Todd.

Which I'm not complaining, because there's other cool animated characters named Todd (yay BoJack Horseman!), so I'll leave it at that

Another cool thing to notice in the scene was the Luxo ball, painted on one the hood of a car.

So these 2 are easter eggs that always find a way to sneak in.

>> ALEX: Thanks, Art!

Speaking of which, if you want to check out ALL of the easter eggs and references in Cars

3, as well as how it fits into the Pixar Theory, check out the video we made over the Art's

channel.

Click the i to check that out!

That's all I've got for y'all this time.

Art, do you want to take us out?

>> ART: Sure!

Thanks for watching, DFTBA, and explore on.

>> NARRATOR: Get ready for what's coming.

Lint remover Taurus - testing electric LINT REMOVER for clothes and fabric - Duration: 5:05.

Lint remover Taurus Perfect.

This fabric shaver has a flexible head unit which provides more comfortable and effective lint removing experience.

It's time to test this lint remover.

For this test I am using the lint shaver with its plastic head cover.

The cover is used to adjust the length of the razor blades and by this protecting the more delicate fabric.

The lint remover catches only the longer lints and pills when it is used with the plastic cover.

For more precise shaving you must remove the cover and use the bobble remover only with its stainless steel grill.

However, this way you risk damaging the fabric that you are shaving by creating holes on it.

Delicate clothes such as sweaters and gloves should be shaved with the plastic cover on.

Let's speed up the process.

The difference is obvious.

The left glove has been shaved and looks brand new while the right one hasn't.

I have tested the lint remover on the interior of my car and the result is great.

For the car interior I am using the pill remover without the plastic protector since there is no risk of damaging the fabric.

We can clearly see the spot where we have shaved with the lint remover.

Here the difference is even more obvious.
