Secret Room
"I am not going in there, it's so freaking creaky.
I know too little of this place to go in there.
I have no idea what's in there."
If you've ever taken a metal detector to the beach you know the thrill of finding anything
out of the usual.
DigRing is one explorer that loves going out and finding odd trinkets with his detector.
One day while hiking through the forest, his detector began to pick up a mass level of
metal in the distance.
First, he came across a hot plate, which shows that people had been living in the forest.
While interesting, there wasn't anything too unusual about this find until he walked
over a trapdoor in the ground.
He later returned to the scene to pry open the door but found that it had not been properly
shut anyways.
Once he opened the door he found an entrance to a large hole in the ground, made of metal.
It resembled a tunnel and Dig described it as a bunker.
He placed a light and his camera into the hole
"I don't...
This is creaky...
It's a small, little place...
And it's filled with stones, I don't know why."
to show several stones and what appeared to be chains, but was too afraid to go further.
Of course, most of us that stumbled across this wouldn't be brave enough to enter either.
Later he found an old Nokia phone that no longer worked.
It's very clear that someone was living in this wooded area or possibly being held
in the small bunker.
What makes the situation more mysterious is that it was within walking distance of his
home.
If the dwellers ever returned they may find that their shelter had been tampered with.

Floating Cooler
"You see that?
Colby go get this."
A group of friends were enjoying a day at the river when they noticed a white cooler
floating downstream.
One man noticed it and started recording, while a few others swam out to retrieve it.
Once they pulled the surprisingly light weight cooler to shore they noticed that it was sealed
with several strips of duct tape.
Finally, they popped it opened
"What the?
What the?
Wanna see?
What the?
No!"
To reveal an old doll laying inside it.
The doll was clearly aged but was not damaged.
The cooler itself, inside and out, didn't seem damaged either.
In fact, it appeared as though it hadn't been floating for very long.
Some think that visitors from the day before left the cooler as a prank for future visitors
to find.
Others think there is some mysterious and unknown story behind the strange finding.
Either way this is sure to make for a great story.

Abandoned Plane
"Very dangerous, I don't recommend this to anyone.
Okay"
This video was uploaded by Exploring with Josh in 2016.
Josh was apparently given a tip about an alleged abandoned plane that no one was able to locate.
Rumors placed it in a forest about an hour from Josh, but an exact location was never
disclosed.
After a long drive and a lengthy hike, Josh and his crew come across what looks like a
bridge.
Once on the scene they find an abandoned 737.
The plane on a platform, as though it's on display.
This location is nowhere near an airport or historical location so why the plane is displayed
like this is quite mysterious.

Bunker
IKS Exploration is known for their luck in finding war bunkers and artifacts.
This video from late 2016 has nearly 2 million views because there's something that sets
it aside from the others.
While out exploring in Great Britain they found an RAF airfield underground battle headquarters.
What made this find so unique was that the bunker still had electricity.
The lights and how unusually clean the bunker was made them both believe that it had been
recently used.
Either by military or someone who owned the land.
In addition, they came across a cylinder with a wire hanging from the end of it.
They aren't sure what it is, and ask viewers to help them figure it out.
If you're interested in seeing the entire bunker be sure to watch the video in full.

Tank
"That, is how I expect the end of a tank to look"
Deep Digger Dan, a popular YouTuber came across a war tank in the forest one day.
While on average Dan didn't expect to find much, so was obviously thrilled to find this
machinery.
In fact during one point he's going through several small metal pieces saying "it's
just boring I can't find anything good today I don't know what's wrong" He quickly got
what he wanted when he saw the gun of the tank sitting out of the ground.
Several feet from the tip he found an area which seemed to have been dug up recently.
He didn't take the time to dig it up, but you can tell from this video how massive the
tank is.
A marking on it reads 1928, showing just how old the war machine is.
Again, it's unclear why or how the tank got into the forest.
It seems to have been buried with some purpose and whoever recently came across it had no
interested in pulling it out.
Many of Dan's fans did encourage him to dig it out.
10.
Mary
YouTuber Steven Coan found a statue of Mary under water in Bohol, Philippines.
The video, taken during a scuba diving trip, offers a magnificent view of the sparkling
statue in the clear blue waters.
The white robe of Mary seems untouched by the ocean and one must wonder how she got
there.
Was she dropped from a ship, lost centuries ago, are any others aware of her presence?
Of course, there's a logical explanation for this.
The statue was placed to prevent dynamite fishing.
When fishers see the statue they know the area has prohibited it.
On a more spiritual level, some may see the statue and decide on their own to leave the
area untouched.
This fact doesn't change how a diver may feel when first stumbling across the beautiful
and serene sight.

River Leg
Aquachigger posted this video in October 2015 to share the strange moment he found a leg
in a river.
While diving in the river he saw a strange shape and decided to open his camera and go
for it.
It's easy to identify the shape as a human leg.
Aquachigger questions if he has just found a leg without a body, dumped into the river.
Fortunately for him, and all his viewers, the leg was artificial.
It was an older design of a prosthetic used by amputees.
This was probably lost by it's owner while swimming in the river or even boating down
it.
While this is inconvenient for it's owner, it was very lucky for Aquachigger.
Not only was he lucky enough to not find something bad, but he had a great video and great story
to share.
Seriously, what are the odds of finding a leg in a river?
He checked for contact information possible engraved on the leg but had no luck.

House Treasure
"And I found, this ring, it's a 14 carot diamond ring, and it was shoved, back in the crack"
This video is a little different because the lucky find wasn't thanks to years of metal
detector hunting or river diving.
Instead, this woman was remodeling an old home which is apparently over 100 years old.
While prepping the floor for carpet by removing nails and some of the hardwood floor, she
came across a ring.
The small ring ended up being 14 karat gold, with a diamond stone.
That in addition to the vintage quality, the ring was probably worth a lot of money.
The fun wasn't over yet, though.
As they pulled up more of the boards, they found several layers of old Newspapers dating
back to 1932.
They were fairly well preserved thanks to the hard wood floors protecting them for all
those years.
Because of their quality they could've been framed and sold to collectors, but likely
weren't worth much.
The true treasure in finding them was simply taking a look at a genuine article of history.
7.
Lost Treasure
"This coin was a circa 50BC Celtic Gold Stater, from the Iceni tribe who used to occupy this
land"
This group of explorers were searching around a very open and deserted field.
The three of them were lucky enough to come across a coin.
This doesn't sound like much at first, considering anyone can go outside and find a penny on
the ground.
This wasn't your everyday coin, though.
The coin found was a Celtic Gold Stater.
In short, the coin is just a very ancient form of currency used in Greece and other
parts of the world.
Very few of them exist in the hands of the average person today, and finding one while
metal detecting is nearly impossible as many of them have already been uncovered thanks
to urbanization.
When this explorer found the coin he immediately recognized what he saw.
He was in disbelief as he jumped with joy and showed his mates.
According to him, this was the whole reason he began metal detecting.
After finding it, it was turned into the proper local authorities to assess and investigate
the totem further.
Still that moment of sheer thrill and happiness is unbeatable.
The lucky explorer in this one was DrTones24K and the video itself has 400,000 views.

Secret Door
"Could've been a doorway here.
Look inside here.
Very, very long hallway"
WW2HistoryHunter didn't find a tank, or even an expensive jewelry piece.
What he found, though, was still rare and fascinating.
In the depths of an undisclosed forest, he came across a trap door in the ground.
The metal entrance is sealed shut, but luckily this time we're given a followup video that
let's us explore the strange location.
A few months after the first video, in February 2016 this hunter found a way to pry open the
door.
The bunker is a small room or tunnel, emptied out and filled with pipes.
At first, he's very upset to find nothing more than rusted pipes but he soon has a breakthrough.
He notices a high pile of dirt and branches.
This is covering the extension of the bunker.
He finds another interest and dives in to show a massive underground bunker with several
hallways and small room like structures.
Everything in the bunker is decades old, rusted over and covered in moisture.
Oddly, however, he notices footsteps which suggest recent human activity.
The purpose of the bunker is never fully discussed but apparently due to it's location it was
likely used during war time.
5.
Jewelry Piece
"How well can you see that?
Look at the design on that.
How old is that?
It clearly had, some kind of gemstone in the middle"
This is another amazing find by Deep Digger Dan.
He was rummaging through another forest and found several intact glass bottles and part
of a ceramic plate.
He explained that his next find was "likely the only real treasure" he's ever found.
He is completely fascinated by the small trinket.
As he shows it off to the camera, it appears to be a large pendant.
The designs seems medieval and the rusted nature proves that it's likely quite old.
The center of the pendant has an empty slot where a valuable gem once lived.
Additionally, Dan claims to hear something rattling inside the pendant, though he's
unsure if it's water or something more.
After a quick wash, the trinket looks even more valuable and rare but it's still impossible
to identify what it is without an expert opinion.
With luck a find like this could be worth millions of dollars.
Strange to think it was just hiding in the forest next to some broken plates.
4.
Suspicious Container
This 2013 video by Aquachigger shows a truck found underwater.
The truck is just a shell of itself, rusted and covered in sea debris.
During the first trip down, Aquachigger spots the truck but doesn't pull away the "tarp",
which is a layer of algae.
He does notice something suspicious and concerning in the truck, though.
At first he believes it's a head, or similar object.
Determined to know the truth, he returns later to fully enter the truck.
After pulling away the thick and stubborn tarp, he gets a more clear look inside the
vintage vehicle.
Luckily he finds no head inside, but does discover just how old the truck is.
This makes the source of the truck even more mysterious.
Some viewers were disappointed that Aquachigger didn't find something more mysterious, but
what was found is alarming enough.
3.
Treasure Chest
"Look at it.
It looks like, something buried here in the ground"
Metaldetecting in The Netherlands is a YouTube channel that basically explains itself.
The channel itself only has about 32 thousand subscribers, but one popular video has well
over 10 million views.
Uploaded in January 2016, the 6 minute video shows an unexpected find in a local forest.
While walking through the empty forest, this YouTuber found a dugout and his detector immediately
began signaling a find.
He made an attempt to dig deeper but his shovel hit a large metal plate.
He didn't give up yet, though, as he was determined to claim his prize.
He removed a layer of dirt and fallen leaves to expose the edges of the plate and promptly
removed it.
To his surprise he found a small hole in the ground where a mid-sized chest was carefully
placed.
Taped to the bottom was a lengthy set of instructions which explained the purpose of the chest.
It was apparently part of a worldwide game of GPS treasure hunters.
The rules claim that hunters find the container, share it with friends, take something from
it and leave something in it's place.
Kind of like take a penny, leave a penny.
The directions also encouraged the finder to join the game.
So unfortunately, he did not find millions in gold.
He did find something quite interesting that many people didn't know existed.
2.
Abandoned Vehicle
This video was also posted by Exploring with Josh, and has nearly 2 million views.
According to Josh, the area they're exploring has an interesting urban legend to it.
An elderly man was known to buy cheap cars and scrap them for parts.
He lived on a large piece of desolate land and after a few months of his scrapping hobby,
people began dropping off their useless cars in the middle of the night.
Eventually the land became a junkyard where even fire trucks would be dumped, thousands
of cars plagued the land.
Josh tells this fascinating story as he walks through a forest filled with parts of old
broken cars.
Later, while exploring the land he comes across an abandoned army truck and even an RV in
decent condition.
While Josh knew what he was walking into, it'd be a strange find for an uninformed
explorer to cross paths with this car cemetery.

Safe House
Shiey, an exploration YouTuber, found an underground safe house in May 2017.
The video begins with him in a dark and lengthy hallway.
The description explains "While walking through the territory of a factory, located
in the industrial area of the city, I noticed a weird concrete block with a metal gate on
the side of it.
I opened it and a ladder climb later I was in a dark, small tunnel leading to an underground
bomb shelter/safe house."
The dwelling has low ceilings, fully functioning lights and safe ventilation.
However, it is covered in trash as if owned by a hoarder or abandoned in a hurry.
Several hallways and rooms show various storage items, old papers, and furniture.
The largest room of the house looks like a lobby with bulletin boards, tables and access
to all other rooms.
As he ventures further he finds one room dimly lit to display newspaper articles and photos.
One room has a table which seems to hold knickknacks or toys.
Eventually, a sleeping area is found.
One small room is packed with two bunk beds and several blankets.
Overall the location is a mess, but it doesn't seem like it was empty too long ago.
The purpose of the safe house isn't disclosed and the possibilities are endless.
