Chicken and vegetable Pie चिकन और सब्जी पाई Shaila's Dastarkhwan - Duration: 15:34.

Hello friends , Today I will make chicken and vegetable pie.

Dough ingredients- maida 2 cup , salt 1/2 tsp, butter cold 30 gm, cold water

Boiled chicken in(salt ginger garlic paste), veggies(mushroom, french beans, red bell pepper) cut in a symmetry.

1 tsp white pepper, 1 tsp garam masala, salt for veggies.

1 onion chopped, coriander leaves, 4-5 green chili chopped, 1 beaten egg

For the shortcrust pastry, combine the flours, salt and butter in a bowl and process until they resemble coarse breadcrumbs.

Avoid using hand. Do it with a crusher.

Add 1-2 tablespoons of cold water a little at a time and mix until the mixture comes together in a mass.

Lightly knead a few times to form a consistent dough, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 20 -30 minute

Take oil in pan . Saute onion until brown . then add veggies and spice.

Add Green chili and saute for 3-4 min.

Add water and simmer for 5-10 minutes so that veggies get tender.

Add chicken and saute for 5 mins.

You can make filling of your choice.

I have shown you one type. Will show you more such pie with different filling.

Add 1/2 tsp soya sauce.

You can add mustard paste also.

Add coriander leaves. its ready.

Add this mixture to white sauce which I prepared simultaneously.

Add chicken stock to make required consistency.

Roll out pie crust

You will see cracks in dough, so that's normal.

Keep moving and turning while rolling crust.

roll crust according to size of your bowl but little extra.

convert mixture into bowl and place crust very carefully on the mixture.

Keep doing as shown in video

Use the cutting to decorate or make some letters. its your choice.

I have made my channels

Brush with beaten egg.on crust.

Keep in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes initially.

You can make double pie crust also. but I have made single crust.
