- [Katie] Good morning, friends. [Baby cries
] She says good morning, too.
Today, I wanted to talk about what our morning time routine looks like with two
kids on a school morning, because although our morning routine looks pretty much the
same every day, a school morning, it's like we're kind of in fast-mo,
because we got to get stuff done and we gotta get her out of the house in time to
get ready for school. So I wanted to share a little bit about what our morning time
school day routine looks like and share just how we get stuff done...
Yes, she did it. She got it...How we get stuff done around here.
It's 6:45 in the morning, I wake up, turn on my phone, and try to wake
up a little bit.
I check out the monitor usually and this is a good morning because the little is
still sleeping, thank goodness. Then, usually if the big one hasn't come into
my room yet, then I usually go into her room. This morning, I went in to go
and see her, and I realized why she hadn't gotten out of bed, she was reading a book.
There's her green light. We did a video on this amazing clock if you
want to check it out.
First things first, potty, and wash hands, and then we go down the hall to get
sister. What are we going to go do?
- [Child] We're going to get sister.
- Some morning, she's already awake and kind of waiting for us or screaming.
Other mornings, we get to wake her up and then, we start off with some nursing,
and snuggling, and just kind of waking up a little bit. Maybe that's just me.
I don't know, the five-year-old's awake, always immediately.
All right, this is my morning breakfast, morning, almost every morning,
actually every morning I was [inaudible] We also have a gym session
happening in the living room. So, I've already got in here some peanut butter
with banana, ice. I'm going to do a handful of spinach,
some frozen blueberries.
This is up-side-down but it is my favorite coconut milk, and then we'll use a little
bit more coconut milk. And then, I do this psyllium whole husks for fiber and then,
I also use Vega, protein and greens, I really like this. It works really well for
me. And then, of course, here's my vitamins, multivitamins and then there's
probiotic, I think, help my tummy. This is my morning routine.
After our second daughter was born, we got a Vitamix and I absolutely love it.
It could literally blend up a human, I mean, not that I know that but I'm pretty
sure it could. And, it's probably one of the best purchases ever.
This is the favorite breakfast for school and we are also going to do a boiled egg.
I usually try to keep some on-hand because the big one likes to have boiled eggs.
Sometimes I put them in her lunch too but she wants one for breakfast this morning.
And then there's also going to be beautiful cherries that we did.
Recently, we actually went out and picked them at a farm close by.
We have a video for that too, if you want to check it out.
So, those are some of the things for breakfast.
How is it? Are you getting water? Not yet? How's your breakfast, sweets?
- Good. Cherries.
- And I have a handy little helper who always likes to come in and try to crawl
into the dishwasher. This one's ready for a little bit of breakfast.
Well, this was second [inaudible] I guess. And so, we are going
to have a few bites of strawberry which I will be holding for her because she only
has two teeth, and she's also going to be having a little bit of this pear,
purple carrot, and blueberry baby food. When I don't make her baby food,
I like to use this stuff because it's [inaudible]. Are you ready?
We're also gonna have a few of these super puffs, as well, just because
they keep her busy. Super puffs are obviously a favorite.
- Go to school, it's Math, today, after.
- [Man] Do you like school?
- Yeah. - Why?
- Because everyday, we go to school, but not everyday if it's a holiday.
- Good. What do you think about your breakfast?
- Like it.
- What's your favorite part of breakfast?
- Waffles and cherries, and avocado, and eggs.
- Okay so, while she's eating I usually start working on lunch and snack for her.
Another thing that my oldest loves to do is get on my iPhone and watch where
Morfar [SP] is when he's coming to pick her up.

And, one of our favorite things to keep the little one busy is a Youtube channel
called Little Baby Bump and she loves it. So, I finish up snack.
Usually, if she's hollering at me then I go ahead and put on Little Baby Bum.
I'm going to put your applesauce in here with a spoon, okay? Make sure [inaudible]
Usually, after the big one is done with
breakfast, she'll join the little one to watch a little bit of the music because
she actually likes it too. And there in the background, you can see Morfar.
He is also our cameraman some mornings especially when he comes over to pick up
the big one to take her to school, so that way I don't have to set up the tripod.
The last thing we do before she heads out the door is sunscreen although she's not
pictured, and then we do her hair to get her ready for the day.
Recently got it cut and it's a whole lot easier to deal with. And,
we got to wipe the mouth, of course. Okay, you're ready. Give me a hug,
sweets. I love you, have a good day.
- I love you. - My big girl.

Here she goes out with her Morfar. She loves it when her Morfar
takes her to school. And it's also, of course,
very helpful for me as well.

There she goes. Bye, honey.
- Bye, mommy.
- Love you.
- Love you too. Have a good day.
- You, too. See you soon.
This is her impatient, this is her impatient face. Hurry up. Okay so,
that's it. That's our morning routine on a school day. As you can see the big is off
for school and it's now quiet-ish in the house, not exactly super quiet because
I've got this one who's getting ready for her nap and then it'll be really quiet.
