BREAKING: John Podesta Just Got Bad News – Hillary Panicking - Duration: 2:22.

Remember when the DNC servers were hacked and they refused to let the FBI investigate

the crime — clearly because of all of their crimes which that hack revealed?

Yeah, that's about to bite John Podesta.

John Podesta has just been ordered to appear before the House Intelligence Committee for

an interview.

This means he's going to be put under oath and at the mercy of the Committee's questions!

(via The Washington Examiner).

One of the first questions I imagine the House Intelligence Committee is going to have for

him is why he didn't allow the FBI to investigate the DNC hacking.

There is just no good answer that doesn't implicate him in a crime.

And, because Podesta's personal emails were leaked by Wikileaks the House Intelligence

Committee could delve into that closet too.

They could ask him about Seth Rich.

They could ask him what he meant by "making an example" of someone.

They could grill him on what he knew about Clinton's warmongering in Yemen.

Any answer to any of these questions is also going to implicate Hillary Clinton in their

crimes.

John Podesta has been so close to Hillary Clinton for so long.

I'm honestly surprised that the Clinton machine hasn't labeled Podesta as a liability

yet.

Although, I suppose there is still time for a horrible accident to befall him before he

testifies.

At first, I was a little troubled that the House decided this meeting with Podesta would

occur in private.

We all want to see him taken down publicly.

But, this may be a powerful strategic move, perhaps even being suggested by Trump himself.

If the interview is private, I think Podesta is a lot more likely to make it in front of

the committee alive.

Second, because the whole world knows Podesta had his hands on classified information, he

could have used that as an excuse to avoid the committee's questioning.

But, because the interview will be private, any excuse about a subject or document being

classified will ring false.

What information could he know that the committee members won't?

This could be the first step to dragging the whole Clinton machine into the jail cell where

it belongs.

I really, really hope it is.

Embroidering My Cat's Portrait // Becky Stern - Duration: 3:51.

Welcome back.

This week I'm making embroidered patches to memorialize my late cat Beatrice.

You could use this technique to create an embroidered patch from any image, really.

I'm just going to walk you through the things that I did, but there's a bunch of different

tools you could use instead for each step, basically.

I started in Photoshop.

I cropped down the photo I wanted to use and put it in grayscale.

And then I increased the contrast and played with the levels so that the white were very

light and the blacks were very dark, that way I'm gonna bring out all of the detail

when I simplify the image.

Then I'll go to to Image, Adjustments, Posterize… and this is going to reduce the number of

colors in the image, and it corresponds with the number of colors of floss you want to

use in your embroidery.

For me, that's four, plus an accent color for my pretty kitty's eyes.

Then I went to print it at different sizes on a piece of paper because I wasn't sure

exactly what size I wanted it to be, and found that if I reduced the opacity, it was easier

for me to trace it later.

Then I used a small-tipped Micron pen to trace the different regions so that I could see

them better when I put it on top of my light mat.

This thing is awesome, by the way.

Then I chose a light colored fabric to place on top of the drawing and used my water soluble

marking pen to trace the drawing again onto the fabric.

The ink from this pen will disappear later when I spritz the whole thing with water.

Then I put the fabric in an embroidery hoop and started stitching.

I used an embroidery stitch called the satin stitch, which is just many stitches right

next to each other that fill up a whole field.

I was a little bit loose about where the stitches started and ended, I just didn't want any

of them to be too long so that they would hang off the patch.

I repeated the process for several more images of my pretty kitty and printed them out at

all different sizes to get a variety going.

On the smaller ones I found that I only needed to use half of the strand of embroidery floss,

otherwise the line was kinda too chunky for the overall size of the patch.

At this point, it's just a regular embroidery.

You could stick it to a mat and frame it like this, but I wanted to cut it out and turn

it into a patch.

So I tried a couple different edge-finishing techniques, the first of which was just to

do a binding stitch with the embroidery floss all around the edge.

But that didn't work out as well as I had hoped with the fabric being a little bit flexible

and it sort of made the edges a little ruffly.

So then I switched to the sewing machine, and I would sew one straight line around and

then a zigzag stitch, and then I'd cut it and do a zigzag stitch to capture that raw

edge, and that sorta seemed to work the best for me.

But I still wish I could have finished the whole thing by hand.

Embroidered patches go great on jackets, and bags, and hats, you know, anywhere.

And you can pin it in place with safety pins or sew it in place permanently, or even glue

it.

I chose to sew this one onto my jean jacket.

These patches were a whole lot of fun to make, and I got to spend that time sort of reminiscing

about my sweet kitty, and I think it's a great way to memorialize a dear friend.

Trump Russian hacking 'a big Dem HOAX'

President Trump claimed in tweets on Thursday that last year's Russian hacking of

the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and other political organizations is a hoax created

by the Democratic Party.

"It's all a big Dem HOAX!� the president tweeted.

Trump accused the party of creating conspiracy theories surrounding election meddling, saying

it was an excuse for their losses.

The two tweets followed another implying that if the Russians had hacked the election, President

Obama should have gotten more involved.

The DNC issued a statement shortly after the president tweeted, saying it has complied

with the FBI's requests and provided the bureau with all of the information needed to make

their assessment.

�The DNC was contacted by [the Department of Homeland Security] months after the DNC

worked closely with the FBI to remedy the intrusion.

The DNC then provided DHS with detailed information about the intrusion," spokeswoman Adrienne

Watson said in a statement.

�The intelligence community has no doubt that the Russians attacked the DNC in an effort

to disrupt our election.

The only person who disputes this is Donald Trump."

The tweets were sent two days after White House press secretary Sean Spicer refused

to say if the president supports the intelligence community's conclusion that Moscow ordered

the 2016 hacks in order to help get Trump elected.

"I have not sat down and talked to him about that specific thing," Spicer said.

The president�s claims also come as scrutiny surrounding possible coordination between

the Trump campaign and the Kremlin intensifies.

A special counsel and at least four congressional committees are investigating 2016 breaches

blamed on Russia, but Trump has cast doubt on the idea � supported by more than a dozen

intelligence agencies � that Moscow is to blame.

�I don�t believe they interfered,� he told Time magazine late last year.

�That became a laughing point � not a talking point, a laughing point.

Anytime I do something, they say, �Oh, Russia interfered.� �

�It could be Russia.

And it could be China.

And

it could be some guy in his

home

in New Jersey,� Trump added.

Trump has called the

probes into alleged ties between

his campaign and

Russian election engagement a �witch hunt.�

okay guys so you welcome back to my channel so for today's video I'm going

to be doing a yummy nummies real sushi versus fake sushi let's do this thing

alrighty so I've never done this before so please bear with me but the first

step obviously is to open a box I hope so from them it's not that would be very

embarrassing also why do you open other side darkness Wow

okay you're telling me that these cactus of I don't even know are supposed to

help me make sushi and these are my tools ok let's start I think so I saw in

the direction finally so let's see okay step one remove the tray packets and

utensils from packaging use scissors to cut the kitchen mapping tray along the

indented line okay so I got safety scissors because safety first right so

I'm going to cut along the indented line right here let's give it a go

okay moving on to the next step you organized this since it's giving you

guys so Virginia open it because it said to you deserter this too cute okay

expect to open the candy rice zero three nine pack it definitely sets fish poison

might be that later okay soda eggs based

rice packet okay so it says in tray number one mix eight round a piece of

candy rice powder and 1/2 of the square of a scoops of water okay great so let's

get my water and open my rice package okay so I'm going to mix eight scoop

inside with water and compartment number one okay that's

outside and then I also needed one and a half of the squares of water so one and

a half so okay because there's a line to the Rezo not perfect and a half okay

now I'm going to mix I don't know how this is right but just to see okay so I

mixed all of this in one corner but it doesn't look like right so I'm just

going to pray so moving on step 3 open the gummy fish 0:41 packet entry to

mix three round scoops of gummy fish powder with four we're scoops of water

okay this seems you'd be an afront fish yucky hugging and trade - okay so I'm

cutting this open here we go and now I need three round scoops entry number two

great flavor I hate artificially extented grapes so

much like grace medicine

flavor honestly of all artificial fruit flavors are jumping but climbs out your

little favoritism okay so I mixed two of them and three so now I have to do four

squares of water this set is a circle and decided to square so that's how they

like differentiate the measurements so like water I guess is a square and then

the powders are the this is okay quickly and four squares now I'm just going to

mix this so this seems very liquidy but it's kind of a paste everything out but

it says number four says immediately scoop all the gummy mixture into the

three fishing trade so I'm going to do that immediately and I'm going to put it

in the fridge pretendin sushi chefs you

okay so now that those are chilling in the refrigerator I'm going to be doing

step number five which says to still trace four and five with water up to the

first line then mix one round scoop of the egg 42 packets in to trade for and

then mix two round scoops of the candy and space 43 pack it into tray five

let's do the rap okay I'm just going to use it actually don't know okay great

next we move on to four great okay I'm really going to sin I'm really good at

cooking as you can see because this is definitely cooking so now that these are

filled with water I am going to mix water and scoop of X 42 which is this

one into trays number four already and then this is small better this is I like

that up so I can definitely orange that's better than great let's be on

okay and then it says mix two scoops of the candy eggs base form three pockets I

need two scoops into tray five okay and two now I'm going to mix these

for fur this looks disgusting I don't know what it's supposed to be it said

eggs but this is like some horny pea like oh okay I'm not sure what Trey for

is I'm a little confused because it looks gross but then again this is

artificial sushi gummy candy so great let's move on to mixing trade

number five Queens The Dropper is disgusting

please the dropper and release to fill the orange mixture for chases oh I have

to tweet there's a dropper here's the dropper there you go

I have to squeeze the orange mixture and drop it into tray five in order to make

bag I understand okay because I was very muted and then it says continue this

process to make as many candy eggs if you want everybody please calm down shut

up everybody thank you for making candy eggs let's get started I think I think

that's enough egg I think we're good moving on to the next

step step seven separate the rice mixture from tray 1 into 3 equal parts

on a plastic plate which I have here shape each piece into a thick rough

pencil

okay great so I'm just gonna do that so this is my rice

okay okay so now I have separated them into three they're not evil but they're

definitely three rectangles so I try as long as you give your best effort right

okay so step eight is remove the gummy fish from the tray from I can read

remove the gummy fish tray from the refrigerator after 10 minutes which I

did carefully remove the gummy fish from the tray and set them on top of the

candy rice rectangles okay okay so let's do it

Wow I made Suzy let's go oh my god I'm actually impressed I did it guys we're

not done just yet step nine says use the spoon to scoop

candy eggs from trade five on top of the gummy fish let's do this okay using the

spoon I really hope these work all right guys I put eggs on my sushi I don't know

how pretty they are but I did it so okay guys we did it we made the candy sushi

here's my real sushi compared to my candy sushi pretty sure the one I use

better so let me know who you think won it down in the comments below the sushi

restaurants that I definitely ate for lunch but just want these I got these to

go after have to send me photos videos or the ones that I made myself

step number 10 which is the last step is to open this other soda oh okay oh yeah

thank you I am a little quickie okay it says to

open a soda 44 pound cake and add one round scoop to the pasta cup and then

fill the rest with water so let's do that

one round scoop all right and now we're just going to fill the

rest with water it's fizzing guys this is so dumb

this is legit it's deafening okay this is real it's real life

okay now I'm just going to mix our soda together

and let's hope it works should I try this Oh duffer's Cheers

so now I'm going to try my creation the sushi that I mean that is the most

disgusting candy I've ever tasted in my life says yummy nummy

there's nothing yummy about this okay

Woman Wins $15M Against Big Pharma For Antiepileptic Drug Depakote - Duration: 1:10.

Finally tonight, some good news for another victim of Big Pharma's defective drugs.

A federal jury has awarded fifteen million dollars to a woman's 10-year-old son born

with a rare chronic condition called spina bifida – a birth defect where a developing

baby's spinal cord fails to develop properly.

The Plaintiff argued her son's condition is the result of a bipolar treatment drug, called

Depakote, made by pharmaceutical company AbbVie.

The lawsuit said that AbbVie failed to provide adequate warning about the risks of taking

the drug while pregnant.

While jurors did not award punitive damages in this case, this is hardly the first time

Depakote has been in legal hot water.

Back in 2012, when the drug was owned by a different corporation called Abbott, the company

had to pay out 1.6 billion dollars for promoting the drug for unapproved uses.

Currently more than 600 injury claims related to Depakote are pending in federal and state

courts.

This award will hopefully allow the plaintiff's son -- at the very least to receive the best

medical care available for the rest of his life.

A Young boy by the name of Landon Riddle was diagnosed with Leukemia back in 2012 at just

two years old.

He was given just a ten percent chance of even making it through the night, but he did.

Landon underwent chemotherapy as most people do and while he lived, he suffered.

He was not able to eat for weeks at a time and lost fifty percent of his weight, He was

always in pain and his family knew something needed to be done, they just were not quite

sure what that was yet.

After looking into many different things his grandmother suggested that they look into

cannabis oil treatment.

They relocated to Colorado so that they were where the treatment was legal and within days

Landon was improving.

He was vomiting less and eating, finally.

Landon�s mother faced a lot of trouble over this regarding CPS and virtually being forced

into a wall on either following through with three years chemotherapy or losing custody

of her son.

Landon and his mother had to go through a lot to get his treatments exactly how they

needed to be, and even now face issues regarding the decision to remove or lower chemotherapy

while he is in remission.

Thanks to cannabis oil this precious little boy is now seven years old and has been using

cannabis oil since he was two.

He was �cured� at age three and has never looked back since.

He and his mother are very strong and I believe they will get through anything is thrown their

way.

And it's broken then you have to go through the trouble of like trying to get repaired and everything

Literally just ordered a brand new mic got it yesterday, and I would have to get another one because this one's broken again

But I don't think I'm going to run around with this camera anymore

I'm gonna go put it back to the car and then probably run around with the dogs for probably bout 40 min

I feel like I got more of a workout being here than I did at the gym

And I went hard at the gym today. I'm never both out of breath

They say you shouldn't meet your heros, but these stars prove almost any celeb could

totally ruin your day — and quite possibly — the rest of your life.

Roman Polanski

In 1977, Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski allegedly gave champagne and a Quaalude to

then-13-year-old Samantha Gailey.

Polanski later plead guilty to unlawful sex with a minor.

But before sentencing, he fled to Poland, avoiding extradition to the States, while

his victim — who now goes by Samantha Geimer — battled the spotlight for decades.

While Geimer claims she's moved on, she says the worst offenders in the whole situation

were court officials, and the media.

In 2013, Geimer wrote in her book, The Girl: A Life in the Shadow of Roman Polanski, "Would

you like the craziest thing that ever happened to you as a teenager broadcast and then dissected

over and over on television, in the blogosphere?

Right.

I didn't think so."

At least Polanski leans a bit older, these days.

Matthew Broderick

In Northern Ireland, in 1987, Matthew Broderick's car crashed head-on with another car, killing

two people: 30-year-old Anna Gallagher, and her mother, Margaret Doherty, who was 63.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Broderick spent a month in the hospital, but ultimately

walked away with a $175 fine for careless driving.

Fifteen years after the crash, The New York Post reported that Broderick was planning

to meet with the family of the victims.

Martin Doherty told the the Post, "[Broderick] didn't kill my mother and sister deliberately.

There were strong feelings at the time, but I have since forgiven him and feel no anger

toward him."

Nick Hogan

Iraq war veteran John Graziano suffered permanent brain damage after Hulk Hogan's son, Nick

(aka Nick Bollea), crashed his Toyota Supra into a tree while driving under the influence,

in Florida, in 2007.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Graziano, who was a passenger, suffered injuries that

left him in a "minimally conscious state."

Bollea served 166 days in jail.

In 2010, Bollea and Hulk Hogan reached a confidential financial settlement with Graziano's lawyers.

Attorney Kimberly Kohn said, "John is going to be provided appropriate care for the remainder

of his life."

O.J. Simpson

Though O.J. Simpson was acquitted in criminal court of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson

and Ronald Goldman, O.J. did lose a civil suit brought by the Goldman family, which

resulted in Simpson owing $33.5 million dollars.

After accruing interest, which pushed that total over $40 million, Goldman's sister,

Kim, told CNBC, "We've collected less than one percent of that."

The Goldmans did receive a relatively small portion of their award after a bankruptcy

judge gave them the rights to a book about the murders, If I Did It: Confessions of the

Killer.

Though O.J. claims he was not involved in the writing of the book, the New York Times

reported he was paid for it and even recounted a hypothetical narrative of the murder.

Guilty as not-charged.

The Jenny Jones Show

In 1995, Jonathan Schmitz met his secret admirer on The Jenny Jones Show — a man, named Scott

Amedure.

Schmitz then shot and killed Amedure three days after the taping of the episode, which

never aired.

Schmitz, who blamed The Jenny Jones Show in his 911 call, was sentenced to 25 to 50 years

in prison on second-degree murder charges, according to CNN.

The family of Amedure filed a wrongful death lawsuit against The Jenny Jones Show and was

awarded over $25 million in 1999.

The case was then thrown out in Michigan in 2003, and the family appealed to the Supreme

Court, but was denied in 2004.

Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars' Val Chmerkovskiy was sued in early 2016 by a 16-year-old girl with

Down syndrome, for a meme that featured a younger photo of the girl, drinking soda,

with the caption, "Letting your kid become obese should be considered child abuse."

People reported the girl and her family are suing for "Defamation, emotional distress,

and invasion of privacy" seeking $6 million each from Chmerkovskiy and CBS.

When news of the lawsuit broke in January 2016, Chmerkovskiy responded with another

dismissive meme, which read, "Worry about your character, not your reputation.

Your character is who you are.

Your reputation is who people think you are."

Unless people think you are a fat girl with bad parents because a celebrity said so.

Mike Tyson

In the early 1990s, Mike Tyson was convicted of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old pageant

contestant in Indianapolis.

The New York Daily News reported "Tyson overpowered and raped her in his hotel room on July 19

during the Indiana Black Expo."

Tyson's defense was that he was known to be a womanizer, and she, quote,"must have known"

he wanted to have sex with her.

Tyson served three years in prison and settled a lawsuit by survivor Desiree Washington in

1995.

The LA Times profiled Washington as being emotionally scarred, noting that her parents

separated and sold her childhood home after pressures mounted during the Tyson trial.

Phil Spector

As one of the most influential figures in entertainment history, Phil Spector became

famous in the 1960s for creating the Wall of Sound and producing legendary pop music

acts.

But he became infamous for the death of 40-year-old actress Lana Clarkson in 2003.

Authorities found Clarkson dead at Spector's mansion in Alhambra, California, from a fatal

gunshot wound through the roof of her mouth.

In 2009 Spector was sentenced to the maximum 19 years-to-life for Clarkson's murder.

He is eligible for parole in 2028, when he will be 88 years old.

A prosecutor called Spector "a very dangerous man" who had "a history of playing Russian

roulette with women—six women.

Lana just happened to be the sixth."

Clarkson's mother said, "All of our plans together are destroyed.

Now, I can only visit her at the cemetery."

Vince Neil

In December 1984, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil caused a car accident that claimed the

life of his friend Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley, and severely injured 20-year-old Daniel Smithers,

and 18-year-old Lisa Hogan, who were in a second car.

Neil, charged with vehicular manslaughter and DUI, served only a portion of his 30-day

sentence in 1985.

He paid just $3 million to the victims, saying later, "I bought my way out of jail."

Brandy Norwood

In 2006, Brandy Norwood was involved in a multiple-car wreck on the 405 freeway in Los

Angeles that killed a mother of two.

At the time, TMZ reported that Norwood blamed herself at the scene of the crash, saying,

"She got upset, talking about how it was all her fault … she didn't stop, kept saying

how she hit the lady."

Norwood settled civil suits related to the crash, including one with the family of the

victim, whose sons made a full physical recovery from the injuries they sustained in the crash.

Fireworks Pride Makeup Rainbow Mask | Make Up For Ever XL Paint Review & Makeup Tutorial pride month - Duration: 7:33.

hello guys and dolls welcome back! Today I'm doing a Rainbow Mask for Pride

makeup tutorial using the make up for ever XL paint this is a new product that

comes in 20 different colors and I thought rather than just do a

straightforward swatch video and just showing swatches, why not do something

really fun with such a unique product so this is in a shadow

paint that's meant to be used as eyeshadow obviously I painted it all

over my face and applied it in large quantities you're going to see some

cracking and texture in fact let me go ahead and zoom in and show you guys it's

quite textured but I also layered this up like whoa and um cause some of this

texture by using some stippling techniques and things like that because

I wanted it to have a cracked painterly look like it was done with tempera paint

or something so when you use these on your eyes they look nothing like this it

looks very smooth in fact I was really impressed with the overall quality of

these I tested them out for about a week before I made this video they dried down

beautifully they have enough grip to them that they will really hold on to I

should say can also be used on their own the claim on these is 24-hour wear so I

did actually go to sleep wearing these doesn't look like a crazy person and was

impressed by how they still looked pretty good in the morning I mean not

perfect but you know I did sleep on them and probably rub my eye during my

sleeping without like being conscious of it they're 20 colors ranging from your

beautiful neutrals like the selection neutrals is really impressive with this

there's really everything for black brown white grey silver you know rose

gold and an icy rose gold and like just the color options are off and with this

really love the formula it's crease resistant it's waterproof but it doesn't

like crack or anything I've tried some paints from another company recently

where they just had a really bad texture on the eye now again this is super

textured and gross and weird looking that's on purpose on the actual eyelid

when you use them by themselves to find their just overall pretty awesome

products that have used a ton of them doing this look so I'm kind of sad that

I wasted them a little bit but on the other hand

got this really cool mask out of it so you know company comes off these are $25

for 0.16 ounces or four point eight milliliters depending on which

measurement you'd like to use for today's look I'm literally going to be

grabbing a big ol thing of brushes and painting them all over my face this is

kind of no rhyme or reason and I started with the neutral colors to make them a base

for it but I really had no intention of making this be too perfect I wanted to

have this sort of painterly funky vibe so I put all the colors on a palette and

just went to town using various for brushes trying to kind of keep them

somewhat mapped out kind of even ish but not really caring too much if things

were perfect so the first colors I use with a neutral

shade there's Browns there's some beautiful taupe colors there's gorgeous

gold there's a very pale cream color there is some beautiful silver and the

absolutely gorgeous antique olive which is just divine so beautiful then I moved

on to some of the tertiary colors like the orange and the pink eventually

moving launched the primary colors the red the blue the yellow is a purple

there's a black just really kind of going to town layering and layering and

layering and layering and layering and layering and layering and layering and

layering I'm pretty soon the word layering doesn't mean you ever do that

like fair word so many times and just eat something more my favorite one is

fish fish fish fish fish fish fish fish and then just that doesn't offense so

layered this over and over again and once I had used all the colors I went in

and layered it some more and got kind of funky with it and just have fun

the whole point was of this is just have fun this is not like a pristine perfect

makeup look the point is for this to be a little bit on the messy textured side

but one to really layer up all the colors for the eyeshadow portion I

decided I wanted to have like a nice dark background so I first use the Pat

McGrath eyeliner to kind of smudge that all over my lash line and then over the

top of that I use the ultra violet blue pigment from Pat McGrath and just smudge

that on all over to give me a nice dark base I originally

my inner rooms naked thinking that it was a nice clean look eventually I said

it would be better with the black liner on the inner rim to add a sibling

texture all over I used this Urban Decay finishing powder brush this is a

stippling brush and so the white paint just to pulled it all over my face to

add texture to the paint it just adds kind of a flattery kind of look to it

and then I went over again so now I went over it with more of the paint's

eventually I discovered that I wanted to add a few more products so I added a

little bit of the liquid moon best shadows from Urban Decay for this I use

chemtrail and recharged I also use one of the Urban Decay heavy metal glitter

liners in glam rock which is a beautiful silver glitter as well extra fun to the

upper eyelid area and eventually I moved on to the NYX divid Bryce this is a

great eyeliner line I use some of these I use some of the Too Faced liners and

just kind of went to town drawing them all over my face either a similarly

textured like eyeliner these ones are tender flakes they also

kind of contributed to some of the flaky texture and also I did a lot of like

scrunching I face like this because it will actually kind of make that crack up

and break up once the mask was on I use some of the wet and wild photo focus

concealer just around my mouth to kind of clear up like any redness or anything

like that I used a bit of the mixed a matte but not flat powder and for

lipstick I use color pop pop in lebih stick this is a matte lipstick it's

really beautiful the texture it's very lightweight and feels like nothing's on

incredibly comfortable but not quite as drying as they listed the stick I want

Well, I'm saying "Ukrainians"

though I am Ukrainian too.

But I don't consider myself Ukrainian any more.

We are DPR!

It's very hard...

- I represent international media,

what would you like to say to people from USA, Europe,

ordinary people, like yourself?

- I would like to ask them to support us

and would tell Ukraine and Poroshenko

stop killing our children!

And our people!

About 150 children are killed here.

That's apart from the young people.

Many left the country now.

Nobody would leave.

Cause we love our Donbass!

Hard-working people are living here.

Tackling Diabetes with the Tulane Prevention Research Center | Humana - Duration: 1:07.

I thought Humana would be a really wonderful partner for the Prevention Research Center

in our work.

Right now we're focused on the prevention and reduction of obesity.

But we do that in a rather unusual way.

We focus on the physical and social environmental factors that influence diet and physical activity.

The Bold Goal initiative by Humana fit right in with that because their slogan is to help

make health easier.

And by addressing the physical and social environmental factors, that's exactly what

we're doing at the Prevention Research Center.

The expanded reach that Humana provides as a partner only helps our efforts.

And the expertise in our experience that we can provide to Humana helps their efforts.

So, I think it's a mutually beneficial relationship.

And I hope to see it go on for quite a long time.

And certainly beyond 2020.

How to get a great education with CP - pt 3 - Duration: 4:48.

In this series, we are talking about how to help your child to achieve in school if they

have a disability.

Today we are going to be talking about being nonverbal in school.

As you know that I am nonverbal myself so I know what your child is going through.

It's really frustrating not being able to say something right away.

I think having a good aide will help your child in the class room is really important

for several reasons.

The first reason is if the aide knows how to work with your child, your child will learn

better.

This is the same if your child can talk.

The aide can think of ways that might help him or her like trying a slant board to see

the books easier.

Raise or lower the table might also help.

With a nonverbal student, things get harder to figure out.

There are many things to try out so the child can communicate.

There are picture boards, word boards, electronic communication systems, iPads, and many other

devices.

Many times, there will be several things that will work.

I have two or three things that I use to talk with.

I have a iPad, a manual word board and I have a Mac computer.

I had many systems that I used during my life.

The aide that your child has is very important.

Finding the best way of communicating does not happen within one hour.

It takes months to figure out what will be the best.

If you look at communication systems, somebody has to program the device.

You want an aide who is comfortable with technology.

The aide seems to be good, but the child does not really like the aide.

You have to find another aide that your child will like.

Personality is so important because the child is with the person for six or more hours a

day.

That is so hard to take if you can not stand their personality.

Another thing that you might run into is the school might not bring the aide back for another

school year.

This is really frustrating.

I don't know if you have any legal say in this decision or not.

You might ask a lawyer about this.

When I was going to school, I never had a personal aide with me.

In junior high, the program that I was in had several aides who rotated among the students.

The same aide was with you in the same classes.

That was really good in my opinion.

When I got to high school, the aides did not go with you to class.

They stayed in the special ed room, when you have a test, you would go downstairs and someone

would help you.

You are askng how did I take notes?

A student would give me a copy of their notes.

With this structure, it made my life hell.

The notes were really hard to read, and besides that, if the teacher gave time to start our

homework, i could not start it.

I had to go downstairs and look for someone to help me.

If there were just ten minutes left in the class, I could not get downstairs and look

for someone to help me in that amount of time.

I did all my homework at night.

That was extremely difficult.

How did I do math?

My dad made me a math board with the numbers and symbols.

It was easy until the higher math like advance algebra.

To solve a problem, it takes several steps to solve it.

It took me a long time to do math.

To provide a good education for your child who is nonverbal, it takes a lot of work for

everybody.

Don't give up on them.

I know several friends who are nonverbal and went to college and graduated.

So please don't lose hope.

Be strong for your child.

At first, some strange hexagons flew here.

The asphalt, the earth were burning.

And they were scattering, like fireworks.

Many houses burnt down,

roofs too. We were putting fire down.

Earth was burning

and there was some gray substance left.

- Could it be phosphorus?

- If it was, I wouldn't be talking with you now, I guess.

Don't know what it was.

And then... First GRAD shell fell into that line of trees.

Our fence and the gates were all bended.

We covered windows with the panels.

That was the first GRAD in the trees.

- When the airport was bombed in May,

were you at home?

- At home, we were sleeping in the kitchen.

- You told me earlier that while you were working in the garden

you saw the airplanes flying.

- Well, it was on Monday, May 26.

- In 2014, right?

- And Roman was shot on May 27th, right?

- Yes.

And the child is 2 months old, real little.

and this is Viktoria, his wife.

And their child was two months old back then.

- He was born on March 17th.

We got a phone call that our house was on fire.

By the time we got here, everything was in flames.

And the neighbor's house caught fire from ours the same night.

I was bucketing water

and my son was on the stairs, putting fire down.

We only saved this kitchen,

a place where we can change at least.

That's all I have left.

Nothing is left.

This is my home, I wanna live here.

Honestly, I don't wanna go anywhere.

- Do you come here to take care of the garden?

- Have a look, it's planted.

Justs need to plant some more tomatoes.

- Aren't you afraid to come here?

- I'm not afraid.

I come here all the time.

I was picking up cherries under bombing.

I'm used to it.

- Used to it?

- Well, this is my home.

My heart is at peace here, I am at home.

And from there... I just wanna ran away.

I don't wanna be there.

This is my home.

I was born, I grew up here.

My father built this house. With his own hands.

And poor pear tree burnt down.

There were pears last year.

See the new branches?

This tree is 100 years old.

My grandma has planted it.

- Was it hit recently by a shell?

- No.

It burnt down during the fire.

It caught on fire from the house.

Here are my tomatoes.

Standing up like soldiers!

My son worked in the airport. Me too.

We had a house,

water, sewage, Internet, PC.

We were living not better than anyone else,

but not worse either.

Normal life, like everyone.

We had gas and gas heater.

- Main thing is that you had stability and security.

What else you need?

- Trolleybus No 9 was driving on our street.

Trolleybus from the airport.

Bus No 73 was taking you to the city in 10 minutes.

Or take a taxi and also in the city in 10 minutes.

Airport is near by.

We were happy to be near the airport.

Train station is near by.

10 minutes to the city.

Great place, no?

- Could you expect that war would begin?

If I would be told half year before the war

I wouldn't believe it!

Children were going home from school on May 26th,

covering themselves from shells with the school bags.
