Cats is Closing on Broadway | Fan Reaction | @MagicCatJenny - Duration: 9:46.

Cats is leaving Broadway December 30th of this year, 2017, after about a year and a

half of shows. And I'm sad about it, obviously. It's my favorite show and I'm

really fortunate to live on the East Coast now and be able to go and see it.

I've only seen it twice since it's been there, and I say 'only' simply because I

know people who've seen it over 50 times. So..ah. Two times is actually not bad. One

of those times my seat was like the best seat you can get. So I'm very

fortunate. I'd love to see it again before it closes, I just don't know if

that's going to happen or not. So Cats is closing and I got the news

that it was closing when I was at VidCon, which was this last weekend. Yes there

will be a VidCon vlog, but not till next week, I just need to get this video out

of the way first. And that's why I sound a little raspy, because of interacting

with people and talking for very many days straight. Um, I'm so exhausted...but like,

full of happiness because of VidCon. I met so many amazing people. But... It was

Wednesday and I just got my badge and I'm hanging out with my sister-in-law

and I get a text. Actually it's a lot of texts, just kind of continuous texts in

this text chain with three other cats fans, whom I met at BroadwayCon. This is

us. [photo of the 4 of us in costume] We're awesome. The texts were vague but along the lines of: "WE NEEDTOTALK" "I

can't talk right now, I can't talk about this"

"I'm really sad" and and continuous and I just kind of chimed in with "What? Is

Cats closing or something?" And I was right, Cats...Cats was announced...I think it

was that day that it was announced... through their Instagram? I think? I don't

even know, but it was kind of like...oh. my heart. oh no.

not not good feelings happening right now. And I'll be honest with you, the

initial thing was sadness but almost immediately after that was fear. And fear

from other fans and non-fans. Um and I say this because I really love

Cats and I really love the revival. Not everybody who likes musicals really

likes Cats and not even all Cats fans really love the revival. So I kind of had

this fear coming from both sides that people would just be...I don't know...cruel?

Or or smug, or just...you know, something that I didn't want to see. So I didn't

really go online to look about any other Cats fans talking about it or musical

theater fans...I just kind of said: "Okay, okay, I'm sad." I just pushed down the

feelings, pushed down the sadness, and said: "Alright you know what? I'm gonna go to

VidCon and it's going to be amazing." And I'm back from VidCon...so Cats is is leaving.

And you know, I I'm not surprised that it's leaving so soon, because it wasn't

present at all...at least it didn't get nominated for any Tonys. I don't like

award shows. I don't like any of that stuff. I've never been that interested in

all those things. I watched those to see the performances. I don't know, I just...I

don't really care who wins who loses? I think now I'm sort of realizing that I

should care a little bit because the show's that lose or the shows that

don't get nominated tend to leave. I don't know how Broadway works. I've only lived

on the East Coast two years. I come from a film background. So you know, you

watch all these film and TV related award shows and I don't really care much

because it doesn't really mean that much to me. Because the movie still exists and

I can watch the movies whenever I want. Even if they're a movie that nobody else

seems to think is very good but I love. So with shows it's a little different

because they might just up and...up and leave and then you have to wait for a

tour or something to see the shows you love. And that's to say if you

can afford to see the shows in the first place. Because it's not, like, as cheap as seeing

a movie...at all...by any means. Which is one reason why I love the Cats DVD. I know a

lot of fans don't like the Cats DVD either...but it's so amazing to me because

that was my sort of gateway into the fandom. And it's flawed and it's silly and

it's just so beautiful. To feel outraged and upset that I can't go see my

favorite show that's only a four-hour drive away, anymore, feels a little

selfish because I didn't have that for most of my growing up and being involved

and getting into this show. One person who I met at VidCon, who is going to

become a wonderful friend I'm sure, very lovely person, when I said: "Oh yeah, my

favorite musical is Cats." kind of like...was taken aback? and said: "Oh wow, I've never

met anyone willing to admit that." I know they didn't mean it in a mean way but it

just kind of made me like, sigh, because I get that a lot. It's like people think

that: "Oh aren't you embarrassed of your guilty pleasure fav??" Like... no. I'm not

ashamed or embarrassed by the fact that I love this show so much. Like, I don't

know how else to explain it, other than: it means a lot to me for a lot of different

reasons. That maybe someone who hates the show can't really understand...or maybe

overlooks because it's, you know, it's like this thing that's weird and

different, and like 'bad.' I don't know, I use quotes because I don't think it's

bad...but I totally see why other people do. I love it because it appeared in my

life at a time when I was having a difficult time making friends. Now I will

say my little group of friends in junior high and high school, we did meet

originally through a mutual love of Sailor Moon

and fan art. But that friendship started to grow around the musical Cats.

It taught us to work together. We did our own production it taught us creativity

and a love of making things and learning about each other. And it's just like..I

could go on and on about this, but one thing that people like to argue about is

that cats is no plot. Which...it's a very loose interpretive kind of plot, so I get

that argument. But I think that's one of the reasons why I love it so much and

why it sort of became such an important part of my friendship with my friends in

high school. Because we created our own plot, we created our own backstory and

continuation and characters. And we did fan art and comics and we wrote stories. I

have so much things from those periods of time, that I cannot bear to part with. This

is...this is like, not everything, this is not everything but this is the majority

of stuff we created in notebooks and papers. And those in that yellow bag,

that's our fan fiction. It was like a multiple book, just epic story, of what

happened before. Like decades before the Jellicle ball you see in the musical and

then decades after. And it's probably not very good but it brought us so much joy.

And we eventually got to all see it together when it came to California and

that was an amazing moment. And I...I just...I experienced nothing but like love for

this show and the experiences it's brought me, that I don't know. I, I just,

I'm sad it's leaving Broadway but it's not like the end of it at all. So I'm

going to try to see it once more and I'm going to have an amazing time and be sad.

But I'm going to get over it because the video's still there and the people who

love the show are still there. And I can talk to them anytime I want thanks to

the internet. And yeah, people are going to be jerks about it. People are always

going to be jerks about things. That's life. And what I have to say for anyone

out there who is happy it's leaving, who is astatic, over the moon, that it's finally

getting out of Broadway...blah blah blah, is: you know...just

Just let people love what they love.

Thanks for watching if you're new you should subscribe and to

all my fellow Jellicles out there, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this news.

The Truth Behind Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart's Breakup - Duration: 6:16.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart—once collectively known as "Robsten"—had an intense,

dramatic relationship that may have been more insane offscreen than on-screen…which says

a lot, considering they played supernatural, melodramatic characters in The Twilight Saga.

Their romance included cohabitation, conspicuous cheating, covert dates, and millions of interested

third parties.

Why couldn't they make it work?

Well, it turns out, there are a lot of reasons these two couldn't last forever outside of

the world of vampires and werewolves.

Faulty foundation

When Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart first got close, Stewart was dating her former

Speak co-star Michael Angarano.

Some reports suggested an overlap, with Stewart and Pattinson being spotted holding hands

just a week before Angarano came to visit Stewart on the Twilight set.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke said that she actually felt guilty for enabling

Stewart to step out on her romance with Angarano, telling Vulture, "He's a wonderful actor.

He was in [Lords Of] Dogtown, one of my favorites, so I felt pretty bad because I love him and

they were such a great couple."

Stewart wasn't the only one who brought drama and potential infidelity to the relationship

at its very beginning.

Pattinson was also reportedly hooking up with fellow Twilight star Nikki Reed throughout

the beginning of the franchise's filming and promotional schedules, and only ditched her

when Stewart finally came around.

"He's probably hiding."

"Is he?"

"This is him right now in the bathroom."

And although the on-screen love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob was enough drama

for one franchise, rumors swirled that Reed and Angarano also found comfort with each

other after Stewart and Pattinson started up their off-screen romance.

Cheating scandal

The gossip world seemed to implode when Stewart was busted cheating on Pattinson in the summer

of 2012 with her married Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Us Weekly published photos taken of Stewart and Sanders making out all over Los Angeles

and in a car in July, 2012.

In response to the publication, Stewart finally confirmed she was in a relationship with Pattinson

for the first time in her anguished apology statement which read, "I'm deeply sorry for

the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected.

This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person

I love and respect the most, Rob.

I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Sources told Us Weekly that Pattinson was, understandably, humiliated by the incident,

but was still in love with Stewart.

Meanwhile, Stewart was reportedly angry at herself and reportedly took full responsibility

for the drama.

But the ripple effects of such exposure took a toll on the fan-frenzied couple later on.

Trust bust

Even though Pattinson took Stewart back about the Sanders snafu, the damage was too severe

to be undone.

By May 2013, the pair were done for good.

Sources told Us Weekly that the pair would often fight about Stewart's infidelity and

alleged selfishness, with one insider noting, "He really put her through the wringer.

Ultimately, it was like, 'Either we move past this or we don't.'

It wasn't good for either of them."

Another source dished that they had a blow-up fight when Pattinson skipped a birthday party

she'd planned for him and that "All this stuff came up about the cheating, about how selfish

she always is, about how moody she always is."

Of course, Stewart may not have been the only player of this duo...

Stepping out

Two wrongs don't make a right, but Robert Pattinson may not have been too innocent during

their relationship, either.

During filming of Cosmopolis in Toronto, Pattinson was accused of hooking up with director David

Cronenberg's daughter, Caitlin, as well as Megan Fox.

As he'd later tell Esquire in 2016, "S--- happens, you know?"

If any of this is true, it certainly makes more sense why Pattinson was so quick to forgive

Stewart, but it also means any distrust between them might've run both ways.

Dimming the glare

Since the breakup, Stewart has been vocal about how much she hated fans' attention on

her relationship with Pattinson.

She told Elle UK in March 2017 that she kept the romance quiet "because everything personal

felt like it was immediately trivialized…We were turned into these characters and placed

into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, 'That's mine.

You're making my relationship something that it's not.'

I didn't like that."

What's interesting about Stewart's assertion that people turned her relationship "into

a product" is the rampant speculation that her romance with Pattinson was a "showmance"

to increase their public visibility, market their franchise, and advance their careers.

There was even a large subset of the Twilight fan community call "Nonstens" who believed

that their off-screen romance was no more than a publicity stunt at the time.

And it wasn't just Stewart who was turned off by all the unwanted attention.

Pattinson didn't like the infamy attached to the romance either.

"You get into this thing to do movies.

I've never been interested in trying to sell my personal life, and that's really the only

reason people bring it up."

All that constant surveillance of their time spent together obviously took a toll on their

wellbeing as a pair.

Hectic schedules

Once the Twilight saga's filming and promotional tours were done, Stewart and Pattinson moved

onto other projects, and as a result, they simply didn't see each other as much and grew

apart.

A source told Radar Online in late January 2013 that distance was a big issue when Pattinson

filmed The Rover in Australia.

Considering the two split for good just a few months after the film's production, that

amount of distance after so much time spent together may have been the straw that broke

the camel's back at the time.

Lifestyle change

Ever since Robsten called it quits, Pattinson has maintained a long-time relationship with

musician and visual artist FKA Twigs, but Stewart has seemingly given up guys for good.

She's since had very public relationships with several women, including her former assistant

Alicia Cargile, French actress Soko, and Stella Maxwell.

"I'm like so gay, dude."

So, even though she maintained a three-year-long relationship with Pattinson during and after

filming of The Twilight Saga, part of her might not have been ready to make it last

with a man at the time.

Young and hungry

Perhaps the biggest reason why Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart didn't work out is that

they were both very young in their careers and real lives at the time that they got together.

"To share that is great, but at the same time I was 17 or 18 when that all kind of went

down.

And that's like the most uncomfortable, weird… you're like…" (retches)

Like many young couples of high school or college age, settling down with someone for

good isn't always on the agenda, despite the amount of passion a pair may experience together.

With Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, their on-screen and off-screen chemistry might've

been the real deal, but timing is still everything when it comes to finding a forever love like

their on-screen counterparts.

6 Key Things to Know About '4:44' Executive Producer No I.D. - Duration: 4:00.

What's up, from Complex News, I'm Beija.

This week, the world will finally get to hear Jay-Z's fourteenth studio album, 4:44.

Jay's got a lot to cover—it's been four years since his last album, and he's gone

through a lot.

There are two new babies, a slew of new business deals, and an album called Lemonade for him

to address.

Luckily, he's picked one of the best producers in the game to help him out.

No I.D. is a Chicagoan whose roots run through twenty plus years of hip-hop.

He's famously partnered up with Common, mentored Kanye West, and produced for Jay,

Nas, Drake, and Rihanna, to name just a few.

And, when he's not making beats, he's shaping the industry: No I.D. has also been

a record executive as President of Kanye's G.O.O.D.

Music, and a high-up at Def Jam and, currently an Executive VP at Capitol Music.

With 4:44 almost upon us, here are some little known facts about the Chicago producer, label

president, and visionary to help put into perspective why Jay's next album could also

be one of his best.

1.

No I.D. got his name from his producing partner, Twilite Tone.

No I.D. started out his career as part of a duo called Two Piece Dark, as explained

here:

2.

The first song Kanye played for No I.D. was called "Green Eggs & Ham."

In an interview with Billboard, No I.D. explained his first time meeting a teenage Kanye West

what it was like, saying,

"The music wasn't good and he was only 14 or 15.

But [West] took the advice I gave him and it multiplied with a new perspective.

That's why I'm betting on the new generation—I can teach them everything I know and they

can expand on it."

3.

No I.D. was paid $1600 to produce eight songs on Common's debut — (Grammy Pro)

Hey, it was 1992.

Remember, never let anyone value your art at zero dollars.

Always get paid, just like No I.D. did for producing on Can I Borrow a Dollar.

4.

No I.D. helped influence 808s & Heartbreak through a branding experiment — Complex

Kanye's 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak remains one of his most divisive and innovative works.

Besides the music, his fourth studio album was also groundbreaking for its fully realized

aesthetic.

Everything from the KAWS designed album cover to West's fashion choices fit together like

pieces of a puzzle.

Part of Kanye's look at the time came from No I.D.

In a 2011 Complex interview, No I.D. said:

"I grew out my beard and started wearing old sunglasses all the time and I grew my

hair out.

Kanye would be like 'Yo, what are you doing?' and I'd say 'Cocaine 80s.'"

"Cocaine 80s was my concept, but Kanye dove deep into it himself.

It wasn't 'Hey, I want to take this style,' it was more 'Can I make this work?'"

5.

No I.D. challenged Kanye to make "Otis."

When No I.D. heard some of the initial recordings for the project that would become Watch the

Throne, he wasn't impressed.

And so he egged Kanye into producing the beat for "Otis."

As he told XXL in a 2012 interview,

"I kinda didn't agree with the direction that Watch the Throne was going, because I

felt like y'all were two of the best that did it as far advancing, pushing the bar,

the envelope of what hip-hop can do and is.

And I felt like some of the songs were copping out a little to me."

"I get the co-productions, but how you gon' do an album and you don't go to the machine

and do one beat by yourself?"

Kanye stepped up to the plate and made "Otis."

6.

No I.D.'s biggest studio pet peeve?

Recording.

During No I.D.'s Soulection Radio interview, the show's host asked him his biggest studio

pet peeve, and No I.D. kept it real, saying

"I hate filming in the studio….We're in this era where the digitization of art

is diminishing its value."

So, if you get a chance to record with the legendary Chicago producer, leave the phone

at home.

For more on No I.D. and his forthcoming contributions to Jay Z's album, keep it locked to complex.

three kilos total about 400 grams of

like a gravy to get it down is it's very

hard but we've got 30 minutes to finish

The End Of The Petro Dollar What The Federal Reserve Doesn't Want You To Know - Duration: 6:58.

The End Of The Petro Dollar What The Federal Reserve Doesnt Want You To Know

By Shaun Bradley

The United States ability to maintain its influence over the rest of the world has been

slowly diminishing.

Since the petrodollar was established in 1971, U.S. currency has monopolized international

trade through oil deals with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)

and continuous military interventions.

There is, however, growing opposition to the American standard, and it gained more support

recently when several Gulf states suddenly blockaded Qatar, which they accused of funding

terrorism.

Despite the mainstream narrative, there are several other reasons why Qatar is in the

crosshairs.

Over the past two years, it conducted over $86 billion worth of transactions in Chinese

yuan and has signed other agreements with China that encourage further economic cooperation.

Qatar also shares the worlds largest natural gas field with Iran, giving the two countries

significant regional influence to expand their own trade deals.

Meanwhile, uncontrollable debt and political divisions in the United States are clear signs

of vulnerability.

The Chinese and Russians proactively set up alternative financial systems for countries

looking to distance themselves from the Federal Reserve.

After the IMF accepted the yuan into its basket of reserve currencies in October of last year,

investors and economists finally started to pay attention.

The economic power held by the Federal Reserve has been key in financing the American empire,

but geopolitical changes are happening fast.

The United States reputation has been tarnished by decades of undeclared wars, mass surveillance,

and catastrophic foreign policy.

One of Americas best remaining assets is its military strength, but its useless

without a strong economy to fund it.

Rival coalitions like the BRICS nations arent challenging the established order head on

and are instead opting to undermine its financial support.

Qatar is just the latest country to take steps to bypass the U.S. dollar.

Russia made headlines in 2016 when they started accepting payments in yuan and took over as

Chinas largest oil partner, stealing a huge market share from Saudi Arabia in the

process.

Iran also dropped the dollar earlier this year in response to President Trumps travel

ban.

As the tide continues to turn against the petrodollar, eventually even our allies will

start to question what best serves their own interests.

Many E.U. member states are clashing with the unelected leadership in Brussels over

immigration, terrorism, and austerity measures.

If no solutions are found and things deteriorate, other countries could potentially follow the

U.K.s lead and vote to leave, as well.

It is starting to become obvious that countries in Eastern Europe will look to the East to

get the resources their economies need.

China, Russia, and India are all ahead of the curve and started stockpiling gold years

ago.

They recognize that hard assets will be the measure of true wealth in the near future

 not fiat money.

The historic hyperinflation that has occurred in these countries solidified the importance

of precious metals in their monetary systems.

Unfortunately, most Americans are ignorant of the past and will likely embrace more government

bailouts and money printing when faced with the next recession.

Even Fed officials have admitted that more quantitative easing is likely the only path

going forward.

Several renowned investors have warned about this ongoing shift of economic power from

West to East, but bureaucrats and central bankers refuse to admit how serious things

could get.

The impact on the average person could be devastating if they are not properly educated

and prepared for the fallout.

Economist and author James Rickards summarized why China and Russia are so interested in

acquiring precious metals:

They are stuck with their dollars.

They fear, rightly, that the US will inflate its way out of its $19 trillion mountain of

debt.

Chinas solution is to buy gold.

If dollar inflation emerges, Chinas Treasury holdings will devalue, but the dollar price

of its gold will soar.

A large gold reserve is a prudent diversification.

Russias motives are geopolitical.

Gold is the model 21st century weapon for financial wars. The US controls dollar payments

systems and, with help from European allies, can eject adversaries from the international

payments system called Swift.

Gold is immune to such assaults.

Physical gold in your custody cannot be hacked, erased, or frozen.

Moving gold is a simple way for Russia to settle accounts without US interference.

Mainstream pundits will continue to distract the public with the same optimistic talking

points, but taking advantage of this calm before the storm is important.

As this transition takes place, central bankers will sacrifice anything and everything to

keep their Ponzi scheme going.

Only individuals can take the initiative to protect themselves and be able to help others

who wont be as lucky.

Those who embrace sound money and cryptocurrencies will thrive in this new competitive global

economy, but if America fails to adapt, the same fiat system that gave it

power

will drag it into poverty.

♫ ♫ ♫ [orchestral music]

I think scholarship at Juilliard is one of the crucial elements of everybody's

education and for everybody who comes to the concerts, for all of us on the stage,

it's especially important that I know that I have people behind the scenes who are

supporting the arts, the performing arts in general. I always wake up every

morning thanking my donors.
