(Singing) I know my God has made the way for me.

I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Welcome to the Believers Voice of Victory.

Today Kenneth Copeland explains that God is love, and that love

will cast out all fear. Become aware of the love God has for

all of His children, especially you. Now let's join Kenneth.

KENNETH: Hello, everybody. I'm Kenneth Copeland.

This is the Believer's Voice of Victory broadcast. I--hey.

Whoa-hmm-hmm-hmm. Whoa-ho-ho. I'm telling you,

it's already on. See, you just got here. Amen.

We done had church before you showed up. Ha-ha-ha. Amen?

Did we not? (Audience Agrees) Glory to God. Hallelujah!

(Cheers & Applause) Oh, thank You, Lord Jesus. We thank You

tonight. We open our hearts and we open our minds for revelation

from heaven. And we bless You, Sir. And we thank You that the

greater One that lives within us, our teacher--oh, my, my. We

place ourselves in Your hands, Holy Spirit. We place ourselves

in Your mighty care and teaching. And we receive in the

mighty name of Jesus. Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Open

your Bibles with me again tonight to I John 4. Now, last

week, we were talking about believing the love. So let's

begin reading Verse 7 of the 4th chapter of I John. "Beloved, let

us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that

loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not

knoweth not God; for God is love." Say it with me, "God is

Love." (Audience Repeats) Say this: "God has faith." (Audience

Repeats) "But He is love. He has joy, but He is love." Amen. "In

this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God

sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live

through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he

loved us. God sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

"Propitiation" just simply means a sacrifice. He sent Him to be

the sacrifice for our sin. "Beloved, if God so loved us, we

ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any

time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love

is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he

in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen

and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of

the world." Now, Jesus is God's gift to the world. The Holy

Spirit is God's gift to the church. Very, very important

information. Jesus is God's gift to the world. Amen. AUDIENCE:

Amen. Amen. KENNETH: And the Holy Spirit is God's gift to the

church. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH: You know why? Just

because He loves you. Ha-ha-ha-ha. Glory to God. I

tell you what. I just love saying it. Ha-ha-ha. Well, let

me-- "hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us,

because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do

testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the

world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God,

God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and

believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that

dwells in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." Now, we began

last week talking about most people, most people do not

believe that God loves them. Now, everybody that's a

Christian, everybody, agrees that God loves them, but they

don't believe it. "I do, too." (Laughter) Well, then you need

to be acting like it. (Audience Agrees) Just let your feelings

just get a little bit out of line. "I don't understand how

come God let that out on me. Don't you care?" Oh, that--hey,

that ain't going to work. See, his own disciples did that,

didn't they? When the storm--they said, "Sir, care--do

you not care that we perish?" Now, listen. James pointed out,

"The double minded man cannot believe anything." Let's go over

there to the 1st chapter of James. I want to show you that.

Don't lose your place there in I John. "James, a servant of God

and the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are

scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when

you fall into divers temptations." Now, that word

translated "temptation" is translated "tests, temptations,

and trials." "Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh

patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that you may

be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack

wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and

upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in

faith--" Do you hear that? "Let him ask in faith, nothing

wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven

with the wind and tossed. Let not that man think he shall

receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in

all of his ways." Now, the example of a double-minded

man--Peter said, "Master, Lord, don't you care?" See, called Him

"Lord," but then claimed He don't love Him. Why? He's in

trouble and Jesus is asleep. It don't look like He cared to me.

(Laughter) "Somebody wake Him up." "Really? You do it." "No,

you do it." "I'll do it. Master, don't you care?" In one moment,

he calls Him "Master," and the next word, he says he doesn't

care. So he's double-minded and he's not believing anything. And

Jesus said that, didn't He? "Where's your faith? How come

you didn't do something?" Well, it would be unjust for Jesus to

say that if He couldn't have done it. (Audience Agrees) Amen.

AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Now, a double-minded person. So a

person with one mind says, "Oh, yes, I know God loves me." But

just let the pressure get on, because you didn't say that in

faith, you said it as a religious mental assent to that

fact, "because everybody knows God is love. I just don't

understand how a loving God could send somebody to hell."

You don't believe God loves you. "Yes, I do. See, I'm not going

to hell." (Laughter) Really? (Laughs) No, don't do that.

(Laughter) Okay. Yes, sir. (Laughs) Next time I'll pass

that opportunity up. Now--ha-ha-ha. You see what

a--what the apostle John here is referring to? "We have known and

believed the love." We've known it, but by faith, we believe it.

I believe He loves me if all of the natural, mental evidence on

earth says that He doesn't. AUDIENCE: Come on. That's right.

Yeah. That's right, He does. KENNETH: Yes, He does. AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: And when you don't feel like He does is when

you better believe He does. (Audience Agrees) Have you

figured out yet your flesh will lie to you? (Laughter) Your

flesh doesn't have--it has no brain at all. It has no mind at

all. Now, your brain is part of your flesh, but your mind uses

your brain. But your flesh don't know anything. AUDIENCE: That's

right. KENNETH: All it knows is what it's been taught. AUDIENCE:

Yes. KENNETH: And we talked about that last week. It is

trainable. AUDIENCE: That's right. Come on. KENNETH: It has

to change. It has to have its mind changed and renewed so,

"Oh, oh, oh, yeah. So this is the way we talk now. Okay."

AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: But until that happens, until you

renew your mind that God is love, and He loves me and He

loves you-- AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: --and He loves you and

me just as much as He does Jesus. (Audience Agrees) That is

hard on the natural mind. "Oh, Brother Copeland, I just--I

just--oh. Well, Brother Copeland, after all, we're only

human." What did you say? (Laughter) What? We are only

human? (Audience Agrees) Father, I pray for every person in the

room that's not saved. They're only human. (Laughter) Amen.

(Audience "Amens") See, we're not human people anymore.

(Audience Agrees) We are born-again human people.

(Audience Agrees) Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH:

Hallelujah. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH: And when

you begin to see that, hey, this changes everything. The first

time I ever read that, I was a student at Oral Roberts

University and I'm reading through the great--the great

love chapter, the 17th chapter of John. Let's turn over there

because there's something there I want you to see, 17th chapter

of John. Big John, we've been reading little John. (Laughter)

AUDIENCE: Big John. KENNETH: 17th chapter, moments--just

moments before Jesus went to the cross. Now, notice Verse 20,

"Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall

believe on me through their words." AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH:

Now, directly or indirectly, every person in this room, every

person on the air, every person that's--that's watching or

hearing this broadcast anywhere, by any means, every one of us

that have been born again came either directly or indirectly

through the lives of these men. AUDIENCE: That's right. Yeah.

KENNETH: Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. That's good. KENNETH: So He's

praying for us. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: That's good news, isn't

it? (Audience Agrees) Particularly when you realize

that any two of you on earth--He was on earth when He prayed

this. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: So let's get in agreement with Him.

(Audience Agrees) Amen? AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: "Any

two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the

midst." AUDIENCE: That's right. That's right. KENNETH: Amen.

(Audience Agrees) Well, that's what I was doing that day. Now,

I want you to know something. I said, "Wow, He's praying for me.

Glory to God." "That they may all be one--" Oh, isn't that

wonderful? "--as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that

they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou

hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have--"

What? I never heard that. The only thing I ever--the only

thing I ever heard is, "Don't touch the glory, don't touch the

glory, don't touch the glory." (Laughter) I was singing in a

Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship one time. This--I

hadn't been born again all that long. And this guy came up. I

don't remember how many times he said this, "No flesh glory. No

flesh glory. No flesh glory. But that sure was good singing. No

flesh glory." Okay. That sounded good to me. No glory. No glory.

I ain't going to touch it. You going to touch it? "No, I ain't

going to touch it." No, no. But look at what he said. AUDIENCE:

Yeah, that's right. KENNETH: Well, I had all of that--see, I

didn't--man, I was a scriptural illiterate, you understand, when

I got to ORU? And I didn't understand all these things

about the glory and that stuff, but here's one guy telling me,

"No flesh glory," and here's Jesus telling me He's going to

give me the glory. (Applause) I was like, "I don't know if I'm

going to agree with that or not." (Laughs) It wasn't because

I didn't believe he said Jesus said it, but I just couldn't

bring myself to cross my religion, what little of it I

had. And it's just ignorance more than anything else. I ain't

going there. In my case, there still is. Boy, what--I've

learned a little bit over the last 50 years. But the more I

learn, the more I find out how precious little I know. Oh, I'm

the hungriest man. I'm going to tell you a little, little story

just for a moment. Is that all right, boss? I can do it? Okay.

So, first time I spoke at Oral Roberts University, and after I

had gone out in ministry full time, you know, and we were--we

were doing well, and Brother Roberts invited me back to

speak. And I spoke several times then during the day. And at

lunch, he said, "Come on," to Gloria and me. He said, "Come

on, we're going to our house and we're going to have lunch

together." So I thought, "glory to God," you know, I'm going to

finally get him cornered in one place and I'm going to find out

what he's got to say, you know? And he's--he kicked his shoes

off and sat down on the floor. He said, "Kenneth, take your

shoes off and sit down right there." I said, "Yes, sir."

"Gloria, take your shoes off and sit down right there." So she

did. He said, "Evelyn, take your shoes off and sit down." She

said, "Oral, I'm not going to do it. I'm going to sit in this

chair." He said, "Okay." (Laughter) So he had his Bible.

He always, always carried a legal pad with him and a blue

flare pen. Wrote his partner letters, everything, with that.

And he had that pen and sat down there. Man, I got my Bible and

got my notebook, you know. And he said, "Now, Kenneth, now

teach me about faith." (Audience Murmurs) (Laughter) My mouth

fell open. I just stuttered. I said, "You've got to be kidding

me." He said, "No, sir." He said, "You boys have learned

some things about faith that I don't know, and I'm the most

hungry man you've ever seen for the--for the Word of God."

AUDIENCE: Wow. Amen, amen. KENNETH: I did the best I could,

you know. AUDIENCE: Which is good. KENNETH: Amen. I

mean--and--but that--see, that's a true man, true prophet. And he

didn't care where it come from. He wanted more. AUDIENCE: Amen.

KENNETH: And that's what I'm talking to you about tonight.

AUDIENCE: Yes, yes. Glory to God. KENNETH: Amen. AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: If you get to where you're thinking, "Oh, man,

I've heard that. How many times is Copeland going to preach on

Mark 11:22-23?" Till you get it. (Audience Agrees) AUDIENCE:

Exactly right. KENNETH: But see, if you're only hearing it the

first time, it's seed. Then you hear it again and again, it's

being watered. (Audience Agrees) AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Amen.

(Audience "Amens") So now, I want you to notice this. "And

the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may

be one, even as we are one: I in them, thou in me, that they may

be made perfect in one; and that the world may know--" Now notice

this. I mean, draw a red box around it. This is written in

red. Point at it. Put arrows, stars, whatever it is you do in

your Bible. "--that the world may know that thou hast sent me,

and hast loved them, as you have loved me"! AUDIENCE: Amen. Amen.

Glory. KENNETH: People don't believe that! They do not

believe the love! I stood there--my knees were literally

shaking because I had already told God, "I'm going to believe

this. I'm going to set myself in agreement of this. I'm believing

every word of it." AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: And, I mean, it

struck me. I was shaking all over. I didn't know whether I

dare said that or not. And--but I couldn't get over that 20th

verse. He's praying this thing for me. See, I didn't know what

I had in the new word. That was coming. I was learning. But at

that point, I really didn't know--I really didn't know what

I had. And--but I said, "He said it, I'm going to say it."

(Audience Agrees) And I'm walking around that little old

room. I had my Bible. Whew! "And hast loved them, as thou hast

loved me." AUDIENCE: Wow. KENNETH: I was trembling all

over, but my insides, my spirit man was saying, "You've finally

given me something to eat. Come on, come on, come on, come on,

come on." (Audience Agrees) KENNETH: Believe the love.

Allow the Love of God to Break Addiction with Kenneth Copeland (Air Date 6-9-17) - Duration: 21:18.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for me.

I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Today on the Believer's Voice of Victory,

Kenneth Copeland shares how the love of material wealth can

drive a wedge between you and God.

Allow the love of God to help you break

free from addiction. Now here is Kenneth Copeland.

KENNETH: Let's go back over here at the 2nd chapter,

and we'll come back there in just a moment. Verse 15,

"Love not the world, neither the things that are

in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the

Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, lust

of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of

the Father, but is of the world. The world passes away, and the

lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth

forever." "Well, yes, Brother Copeland. Now, you see, we don't

want any of this old world's goods. You know, we're not to

love the world or the things in the world." It didn't say you

can't have them. It said, "Don't love them." (Audience Agrees) Do

you love things? AUDIENCE: No. KENNETH: Well, then why do you

say you do? AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: Yeah, but you've

been here before. All them people out there, "You love my

new suit? You love my new car?" No, I don't. I enjoy it--

AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: Because the apostle Paul wrote

to Timothy and said, "He gives us all things richly--"

AUDIENCE: To enjoy. KENNETH: "--to enjoy." AUDIENCE: That's

right. KENNETH: Why? Because He loves you. AUDIENCE: Come on,

now. KENNETH: He loves you, man. He wants you enjoying life--

AUDIENCE: Praise God. KENNETH: --not sweating through this

thing in a '49 Volkswagen. I mean, come on, you know? Ain't

that humble? No. That's stupid, brother, unless you just like a

restored '49 Volkswagen. Now, that's something else. But if

you're driving one because you have to, well bless your heart.

We need to get you out of that. (Laughter) Amen. Now, the point

here is--look at this again because this is so important,

before you--before we get over here back in the 5th chapter in

the "overcoming" chapter. "Love not the world, neither the

things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love

of the Father is not in him. All that is in the world, the

lust--" Well, let me--let me read through that. "Lust of the

flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life." Most people do not

recognize lust unless it has to do with sex. (Audience Agrees)

Lust is pressure. It comes especially if something has been

forbidden you, something that you crave. You're addicted to

something. You know it's bad. You're addicted to sugar. You're

lusting after sugar. And sugar ain't no good. I don't care

whether you--what your grandma and your mom and all of them

said. It is no good. Now that I told you, you can't have it--

(Laughter) "He was getting along good till he got my Twinkies."

(Laughter) "Well I've been drinking diet Cokes." That's

worse. (Audience Agrees) Amen. But I noticed years ago I had to

be delivered from sugar. I used to weight 60, 70 pounds more

than I do now. And well, yeah, 80 pounds more than I do now. So

this--and I went to the Lord about it. I said, "Sir, how are

you going to deliver me from food? I've got to eat." He said,

"Didn't I deliver you from smoking?" I said, "Yeah." He

said, "I didn't deliver you from breathing." (Laughter) "I

delivered you from breathing tobacco smoke." AUDIENCE: That's

right. KENNETH: And I saw it. See? And He taught me how. You

don't just start in begging. Now, I tried that. Whoa, you

kidding? I threw more cigarettes away than I smoked, and then I'd

go back and hunt them. I was so broke I couldn't buy anymore. Go

out there in the weeds, man, hunting that cigarette. And it

was tearing my heart up what was happening, my flesh lusting,

pressure on my spirit. Galatians 5. But the fruit of the Spirit

was so weak in me. I hadn't been saved long, and I knew I ought

not be doing that. Now, the day I got born again--I mean, up

until that time, I was bound with profanity, bound by it. I

won't go into all that story, but I did it on purpose, man.

But the night I got born again, November of 1962, it felt like

for hours that I had something like a square box or something

in my mouth. It was gone, and it ain't never been back. AUDIENCE:

Oh, yeah. Amen. (Applause) KENNETH: That was a spirit. You

see, that was an active spirit. My mama tried to do it with

soap. It didn't work. (Laughter) She really did. She stuck a bar

of Dial soap. You all don't remember Dial soap during World

War II? (Audience Murmurs) You think it's bad now, it was nasty

back there in the '40s. Oh, man, are you kidding me? It's awful.

Stuff that in my mouth. Can I be free with you? AUDIENCE: Come on

now. KENNETH: Phff! Damn! Phff! (Laughter) Amen. Just cussed

because I couldn't get the soap out of my mouth. My mama didn't

hear me. Phew, this mama would take the hide off of you,

brother. Mm, good for her. But, anyway, it was gone. That was

the spirit. Now, the devil is behind the tobacco. AUDIENCE:

Yes, sir. KENNETH: Now, that's just a flesh addiction. He's

behind alcohol, particularly people addicted to it. And--but

now, the Lord showed me this. And I'll show you how--what He

told me to do. I sat down. This is the process that the Lord

taught me over time. You can--you can break any

addiction, but you can't do it without the Word of God because

the Word is what'll break it. The Word'll separate you from

unnecessary stuff. The Word'll separate you from sin. It'll

separate you from the waste that so easily beset us. Amen. Take

whatever it is. This could represent tobacco, this could

represent drugs, this could represent pornography on your

computer, anything you don't have any business with. Amen.

Anything that your flesh is craving or desiring, that's a

lust. AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: I'm going to tell you this. One

of the worst lusts there is, is worry. (Audience Agrees) It's a

sin and there are people who think you can't live without

worrying. You know why? You're addicted to it and there's

nothing in the world but the Word of God that'll separate you

from it. (Audience Agrees) But the Word of God doesn't suggest

that you cast all your cares, worries, concerns and anxieties

over Him--on Him once and for all, it commands you to do it.

AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: So--and you go to the

Scriptures. That--the promises--see, don't ever try to

use your faith on anything without basing it on the Word of

God, either the promises of God or the facts of God so that,

"Well, I don't know whether it's God's will for me to be healed

or not." Well, you never will know it unless you base it on

the Word. If you base it on somebody's idea, you'll--you

can't have faith when you don't know the will of God. And faith

begins where the will is known. And God's not going to promise

you something that's against His will. AUDIENCE: That's right.

KENNETH: Duh. But that comes from being religiously

brainwashed instead of going to the Word for yourself--

AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: --and becoming a faith student of the

Word. (Audience Agrees) Amen. So you go to the promise. "If the

Son of God shall set you free, you're free indeed," and so

forth and so forth. And you take communion and you speak to that.

I had--I was so addicted to coffee. I had been drinking

coffee since I was a little boy. And I drank way, way too much of

it. I got started drinking it like that flying airplanes back

there when--doing a lot of flying and so forth. Well, when

I got--I got born again, started working for Jesus, you know, I

drank more coffee than I did back there when I was working

for the devil. And I had this ugly green bag. That thing was a

dog. But it was just the right size, and we had it a long time.

And it was about this big, and it had my little 4-cup

Farberware coffeepot in it and a great big can of Folgers about

that big. And Gloria and I both drank one cup right after

another. She didn't drink near as much of it as I did. And of

course, I had my Thermos. I would carry it in the airplane,

you know, and all that. Well, I set--the Lord said, "Go get that

green bag." So I got the green bag and I took communion. Now, I

said, "Lord, you want me to--you want me to go tell everybody

they ought to not drink coffee?" He said, "I'm talking to you,

not everybody." (Laughter) AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH:

But He said, "Now, you have abused it and the tars and so

forth in that coffee bean have begun to build up in your

joints." And that's the reason I was praying over what was wrong

with me because I was praying. It would help a little and then

come right back. And I mean, this has been--oh, my goodness,

this has been 45 years ago. I still can't stand the smell of

it. Ha. I took communion, and I said, "In the name of Jesus, I

have no need of you again--in my life again hereafter forever."

And it was gone. But, I spent three days praying in the Spirit

before I did that, finding out what was wrong here. What?

Getting--attaining the wisdom of God. I had been praying over

still quitting coffee. I knew that I was drinking too much of

it. Man, I'd quit and get sick, get that headache, just, ho,

horrible nasty thing. And don't blame it on the devil. Lust, I

was addicted to it. Never--not one headache. Gone. 40 years

come and gone, absolutely gone. Isn't that wonderful? (Agreement

& Applause) You can do whatever you want to do about it. You can

just go on and--I'm not going to go there. Ha-ha-ha. But, see,

this could be anything. This--like I said, this could be

alcohol, this could be tobacco. But you're going to have to

spend some time, number one, in the Word of faith. You're going

to have to spend some time studying in the love of God. You

need to spend some time praying in tongues, praying in the Holy

Ghost. Everybody ought to pray in tongues no less than half an

hour a day. (Audience Agrees) "Well, Brother Copeland, you

mean everybody?" Yeah. "Well, I've never prayed in tongues."

Well, that's your fault, not God's. (Laughter) Jesus said,

"Your heavenly Father give the Holy Ghost to them that ask

him." AUDIENCE: (Audience Agrees) Amen. KENNETH: Duh. "You

mean that for everybody?" Well, no everybody but you. (Laughter)

You know why, because you don't believe it yet. No, I'm just

messing with you. But this--hey, receive the Holy Ghost like

this. Just take communion. Read those Holy Spirit Scriptures and

say, just the opposite, "He is mine." AUDIENCE: That's right.

KENNETH: "He's my gift." AUDIENCE: Yes. Hallelujah.

KENNETH: "He's already living on the inside of me and now He just

needs to come on me for service." Hallelujah. Just open

your mouth and talk, but don't speak English. Some of our kids

here in the church last year were down in South America

witnessing. And the interpreter got away from them. And they're

trying to--they're trying to have a conversation with this

woman. She speaks no English. They speak no Spanish. And

they're working back and forth. And I mean, it's just

supernatural. They wound up getting her born again some way

or another, and they--you know, and she's praising, "Gloria a

Dios, gloria a Dios." And all of a sudden, she begins to praise

God in perfect English. AUDIENCE: Wow. KENNETH: That's a

sign. (Audience Agrees) That's a sign for those kids. That

doesn't happen often at all. That was a sign. Hallelujah.

AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH: These are the wonderful times,

folks. (Audience Agrees) But, you see what we're doing? We're

taking God at His Word, taking His communion, spending time in

His love. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: "Well, Brother

Copeland, I just--you know, I'm just afraid I'll get the wrong

spirit." You don't believe the love. AUDIENCE: No. That's

right. KENNETH: And I'm not chastising you for it. I'm just

telling you what the problem is. And you've never spent enough

time. You don't have any faith in His love. I know you believe

it, but you don't have any faith in it. You get faith in His

love. AUDIENCE: Mm-hmm. KENNETH: What does a little child do that

has faith in his mama? It'll say anything. It'll try anything

once. (Gibberish) I used to say, "What did he say?" And Gloria

would interpret. (Laughs) Or Kellie would say something.

(Laughs) And I would say, "Gloria, what'd she say?" And

she'd tell me exact. Why? Because Gloria's used to

listening to her. But Kellie didn't care whether she made any

sense or not. And when you get that way with your heavenly

Father, (Gibberish), what do I care? Don't be doing that,

you're not born again. Don't be doing that if you're not born

again because the devil will accommodate you with something

you don't want. (Audience Agrees) But you know you're born

again, you're home free, baby, because would a father give a

son a snake, a scorpion, or a rock? AUDIENCE: No. KENNETH: No,

because Jesus had just previously referred to those as

devils. Amen? AUDIENCE: Amen. That's right. KENNETH: But of

course, and particularly back there in the--you know, 50 years

ago when we first got into these things and got baptized in the

Spirit of God several years--four years before that,

we didn't know anything. Hardly anybody did. They just--all the

men were over here ganged up around me. And the women were

over here around Gloria, and they were praying over me. I

didn't know what I was supposed to do. They gave an invitation,

"Come get the Holy Ghost." I turned around to my mama. I

said, "Is that something we ought to have?" She said, "You

need to have that." And that was--because I like to have went

to hell. You know, man, I would have given--I would have

answered the invitation if they said, "Anybody comes up here

want to swallow a basketball? I would have gone, man." If I--you

know, if that's something you're supposed to do, I would have

gone right then. I grabbed Gloria by the hand and up we

jumped. I had no clue. Now, I had heard my great-aunt speak in

tongues one time when I was about 10 years old. That was

my--that was my whole experience at this. And so we're standing

there. They gave up on me. You know, "Let go, brother. Glory to

God." "Hang in there. Hang on." Just go on, everybody. Nobody

looked at one verse of scripture. You can go right

straight to the gospel of Luke and be baptized in the Holy

Ghost in 30 seconds. (Audience Agrees) Because faith comes--

AUDIENCE: Yes! KENNETH: --because Jesus said it.

ANNOUNCER: The greatest confidence builder for the

believer is to "stop the fear." Join Kenneth Copeland today, on

the Believer's Voice of Victory, for more faith building insight

into God's Word. Be a doer of the Word and walk in peace.

KENNETH: Now, let's go back over there and look at it

again, I John 4. Verse 16, "We've known and believed

the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he

that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein

is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day

of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." "As He

is, so are we in this world." AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Has He

got any fear in Him? AUDIENCE: No. KENNETH: No. But we don't

need to be having any either. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH:

Hallelujah. And you can take that and study that and you

should, from every angle that the Lord will lead you to study.

"There is no fear." Say, "No fear." AUDIENCE: No fear.

KENNETH: "There is no fear in love; perfect," or developed,

growing, maturing, "love casteth out fear: because fear hath

torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."

Now--amen. I John 2:11. Well, let's read the 9th--10th and

11th verse. "He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his

brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his

brother abides in the light." Now, there's one in darkness and

one in the light. "He that loveth his brother abides in the

light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in

darkness, and knoweth not where he goes, because that darkness

has blinded his eyes." Now, let's look at Chapter 3 and

let's go down to that 14th verse. "We know that we have

passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren."

Amen? AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Now, we're talking about life.

We're talking about darkness. We're talking about light and

talking about death; murder, death. See, a person can be born

again and hate somebody. Now, actually--and if you go around

saying, "I hate my cousin for what he did to me. I just--I

just hate my father-in-law. I don't like him. I just hate

him." You born again? "Yeah." Baptized in the Holy Ghost?

"Yeah, but I hate him. I don't want nothing to do with him."

Now, I want to--I know this is not you Doug, but I want you to

look me right in the eye and say, "I hate my brother." DOUG:

I hate my brother. KENNETH: Now, what goes on right in there when

you said that? Boy, it'll bite you. Right in here. God is

continuing to do that. He's not going to let you say that

because you really don't hate him. AUDIENCE: Right, yeah.

KENNETH: You have ministered hate in there, but He's in

there. The love of God is in there. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH:

But what you're doing in practicing that and saying that

and not listening to God--you're not listening to him, then it's

having the same effect in the spirit. Where you are concerned,

Satan has the same access to you he would have if you killed him.

(Audience Agrees) Because you could kill him and repent and

still go to heaven. Murder won't send you to heaven--to hell.

Either way, get born again after you kill him, born again and

kill him, repent. But Satan has access to you until you do.

You'd be repenting from a jail cell someplace. You didn't need

to be going there. You see what--now, we're talking about

light and darkness. You remember Colossians, Chapter--well, yeah,

I quoted that last week. I'll just--the Lord just impressed

me. Let's go over there and not quote that. Let's--Colossians 1,

and let's read that. Colossians 1:12, this is what happened when

you and I accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. "Giving thanks unto

the Father, which has made us meet," M-E-E-T, or able,

A-B-L-E, "--made us able to be partakers of the inheritance of

the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power," or

the authority, "of darkness, and hath translated us into the

kingdom of his dear Son." That's what happened when you and I

were born again. Now, if we didn't allow the devil to do

this, by not living and walking in love, there wouldn't be a way

in the world he could touch you. And we're going to see that. But

once we get over there and start doing that, talking it with your

mouth I mean, that--man, that's--that--we live in a

word-created planet. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Love created it

with words. We live under the law of words. You or nobody

else, including the devil, can change that. Can't change that.

However, we can change the words under which we live. AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: The devil can't. He's stuck with it. If he can't

get you to say it, he can't do it. (Audience Agrees) AUDIENCE:

Glory to God. Glory. KENNETH: Jesus said, "I only say what I

hear my Father say. I only do what I see my Father do." Well,

Satan is a thief, right? AUDIENCE: Yes, sir. KENNETH:

What did he come to do? AUDIENCE: Steal, kill, and

destroy. KENNETH: No, no, no, no. Steal, not killing first.

AUDIENCE: Yeah. TOGETHER: Steal, kill, and destroy. KENNETH:

What's he out to steal? Your money? AUDIENCE: The Word.

KENNETH: No, he's out to steal the Word. If he can get you--if

he can steal the Word out of you, then he can kill you.

(Audience Agrees) He got your money. See what I'm saying? So

Jesus said, "The sower sows the word." So, read the 4th chapter

of the book of Mark. AUDIENCE: Yeah. KENNETH: "The sower sows

the word." How--what does Satan do? He comes immediately, I

mean, right now. To what? Divert your attention. And each one of

those cases where the sower sowed the Word, they received it

with gladness, and the Word went into their heart. AUDIENCE: Yes.

KENNETH: The Word did its job and they received it with

gladness. They didn't recognize it. Most people don't. You have

to really--you really have to really be aware and just learn

and learn to be able to recognize that that's what this

is. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: He's stealing off me. (Audience

Agrees) He made me mad. He's stealing the Word out of me. You

get to talking crosswise with the Word of God and he's

stealing it. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: And if you don't get on

your case, he's going to take you down. I don't care how good

you felt about it yesterday, your feeling has nothing to do

with it. (Audience Agrees) And here, the sower sows the Word

and you're, "Glory to God. Hallelujah. Isn't this

wonderful?" Yes? Amen. And he says, "Yeah, but no, no, no, no.

Have you heard what they've been saying about you? 'Faith nut,

prosperity idiot.' Have you heard that?" "Yeah." "Oh, they

have?" "Yeah!" "Your mama-in-law's been saying it."

"What?" (Laughter) He knows where the button is because it's

the same one over and over and over again. (Audience Agrees) He

ain't got nothing new. He's been doing the same dumb thing all

these years. Jesus stripped him. He ain't got anything. But he

knows if he lets you alone with that, and you get to thinking

about this, you're going to believe it. And if you ever

start believing it, you're going to start saying it. And if you

ever start saying it, you will get it. (Audience Agrees) And

there ain't nothing he can do about it. But he can't just come

in there and just--and rattle your cage for you. AUDIENCE:

That's right. KENNETH: No. He's got to have your cooperation.

(Audience Agrees) "Well, now, Brother Copeland said you have

what you say." I did not. "Yeah, you did." No, I didn't. Don't be

going around quoting me. Jesus said that. (Audience Agrees)

I just read it-- AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: --and preached about

it. AUDIENCE: Yes. That's good. Amen. Yeah, that's right. That's

right. KENNETH: Don't even go there. "I heard Brother Copeland

preach this from Mark 11:23, and Jesus said--" AUDIENCE: Yes.

That's right. KENNETH: Amen. You get me and you're both in

trouble and I'm not going in there with you, so--no, no, no.

Amen. So if he can divert you and get you saying what he's

saying--now, listen, Jesus said, "The words that I speak--" 14th

chapter of John. "The words that I speak unto you are not my own:

it's the Father that dwells within me, he does the works."

Now, when--when we hear the Word and we believe it, and we begin

to say it. And as we begin to say it, faith comes and it's

growing in there. And you're having to fight those feelings

off and fight him off. And you just say, "No, no. I believe the

love. And love Himself said this and it's written in red, and I

am going for it." (Audience Agrees) "I'm not coming off of

this." Jesus said, "That 25 percent wind up with a

hundredfold." AUDIENCE: Amen. That's right. KENNETH: Amen.

(Audience "Amens") Now, Satan is stuck with that law. He can't

change that. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: So what he has to do is

get you or me to listen to him and begin saying, actually

believing what he's saying, and saying it with our mouths and

now he can do the work. We just licensed him, "Come on in. Bring

your sickness and your mad dog and all the rest of your bunch.

You know, I've been expecting you anyway. How am I--How long

am I going to be laid up this time?" Hallelujah. (Laughter)

No, that ain't "hallelujah," that's "hellelujah." (Laughter)

Amen. (Audience "Amens") Now then, let's go--how much time do

I got, Tim? TIM: Eight minutes. KENNETH: Good. Let's go over to

the gospel of Luke, Chapter 8. Touched on this last week,

dealing with death. Verse 41, "Behold, there came a man named

Jairus, he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at

Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his

house: For he had only one daughter, about twelve years of

age, and she lay dying. As he went the people thronged him.

And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had

spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be

healed of any, came behind him, touched the border of his

garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And

Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that

were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press

thee, and now sayest thou, Who touched me? Jesus said, Somebody

touched me: I perceive that virtue," or power, "had gone out

of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came

trembling, falling down before him, she declared unto him

before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and

how she was healed immediately. He said unto her, Daughter, be

of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the

synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead;

trouble not the Master." Now, can--there's a--they're

thronging him, they're pressing. I mean, they are pushing,

grabbing, trying to touch Jesus. Some of them are trying to--out

of curiosity, they're trying to touch Him, "Does this really

work?" and all that. But somebody touched Him with faith.

(Audience "Amens") Amen. And her faith put a demand on Jesus'

anointing. See, He said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me

for He has anointed me." Amen? And it was that anointing, that

healing anointing, "how Jesus of Nazareth went about doing good,

healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with

him." She touched that garment, oh, and that anointing flowed.

Well, He's standing there. And it wasn't in just the few

moments it took to read that. She told him that whole story.

That's how--that's how Dr. Luke knew about it. That's how all of

them knew about it. They stood there and listened to her. She

talked and talked and talked. She told about all those

physicians. She talked about all those years. She talked

about--probably told about every doctor she--well, you know, get

somebody talking about their doctor, brother, I mean, you

know--and talked about--and she had every right to say this. She

was right there. Jesus--she had been afraid. She wasn't supposed

to be out there with an issue of blood. She planned on sneaking

out there, touching that garment, getting healed, and

leaving. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: She had no idea He was

going to know it. (Audience Agrees) She was very timid about

it. But then He said, "Daughter, your faith made you whole." How

long do you suppose they stood there? Jairus was standing right

there behind Him. How long do you suppose they stood there? I

don't know. It wasn't any few minutes. Big crowd. Jairus is

just jammed in there next to Jesus. He never said a word.

Now, I want you to notice what Jesus said and did in the

faith's--faith--face of death, darkness. "While he yet spake,

there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogues house, saying

to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. But when

Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not." Stop the

fear! AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Stop it right now. Jairus never

opened his mouth. "Stop the fear: believe only, and she

shall be made whole." AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Fear not! Fear

not! Fear tolerated is faith contaminated.

Contaminated faith'll get you killed--(Audience

Agrees)--particularly when you're dealing with the spirit

of death. The same is the spirit of fear. And the way faith

connects the anointing to God, fear connects death with the

devil. It's the same process, functions under the same

spiritual laws because what we know as fear began as Adam's

faith. And it was twisted, actually inverted. They're both

spiritual laws. Now, let's say I'm headed north. That's a

heading on a compass, isn't it? 360 degrees. Now I'm going

south. That's also a compass heading of 180 degrees. So now

I'm headed 180 degrees. I'm in a--I'm going in the opposite

direction, so in one way they are the same, and the other way,

they are exact opposites. I'm walking in faith, now I'm

walking in fear. The same laws govern both of them. Faith

cometh by hearing, hearing by the Word of God. Fear cometh by

hearing, and hearing by the lies of the devil. (Audience Agrees)

That's the way it works. Now, when you were--when you--before

you knew Jesus as Lord and Savior, before you got born

again, your dead spirit produced fear. But when you got born

again, it no longer produces fear, you start producing faith.

But it only comes by the Word of God. And if you're--you can feed

fear in there, but it is not natural to your spirit being.

It came out of your head. Amen. My, my, my.

Somebody say, "Amen." (Audience "Amens") Glory to God.

Stop Fear by Trusting the Love of God with Kenneth Copeland (Air Date 6-6-17) - Duration: 23:30.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for me.

I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Today, Kenneth Copeland reveals why there is

no fear in love. Place your full trust in God's love, and

your spirit man can grow to full maturity. Grow in God's Word

today on the Believer's Voice of Victory. Here's Kenneth.

KENNETH: Let's go back over here to I John

Verse 16, "And we have known--" now, that

word "known" is the word--the Greek word "ginosko,"

which has several different contexts in which it's used,

including the most intimate of relationships. And

it is--this is talking about, we've known the love. So this

is--this is a very intimate relationship with God. AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: You can't get

closer to anybody than getting re-created by Him. (Audience

Agrees) Amen. Ha! It defies natural understanding words. You

can say it in tongues and finally get satisfied after a

while, but you can't do it in your natural mind. You can just

say, "I love You, I love You, I love You," and it just ain't

ever enough. I mean, it--oh, to--do you remember what the

apostle Paul said? Same word, "Oh, to know Him, and the

power--" AUDIENCE: Come on! KENNETH: "--of His

resurrection." AUDIENCE: Yes. Hallelujah! Amen. KENNETH: To

know it. And the moment we got born again, we know God.

AUDIENCE: Amen. That's right. KENNETH: We know God. AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: And He is available to know more closely.

AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH: Go to His Book. He's begging us.

(Audience Agrees) "You draw nigh to me, I draw nigh to you."

(Audience Agrees) "Well, now why isn't it the other way around?

God draw nigh to me and then see my--I'll get goosebumps about a

quarter inch tall, and then I can draw nigh to him?" Because

it doesn't work that way. He's already drawn nigh to us.

(Agreement & Applause) AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: He's already done

that, brother. I mean, He's living right there on the inside

of you. AUDIENCE: Yes. Glory. Amen. KENNETH: It's you and me

holding back. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: Hallelujah.

AUDIENCE: Glory to God. KENNETH: All right, now--glory to God.

"We have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is

love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in

him." Now, when we closed yesterday, we were over in the

17th chapter of John. Let's go back over there. There's one

more verse there that we need to see. And particularly when you

realize that John wrote both these accounts. Now, if you will

take the account that we're reading right here, and then put

it up next to that letter, see, you can see what he's referring

to. He's going back to what Jesus said. AUDIENCE: Yes, yes.

KENNETH: Now, John calls himself "the disciple that Jesus loved."

AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: I questioned the Lord about

that. I said, "Why did he write that that way?" He said,

"Because he believed what I said in Mark 11:23." AUDIENCE: Glory.

Glory. KENNETH: He confessed that. He called himself that.

Amen. And of course, there's other reasons also, but that's

what the Lord let me see. Now, I want you to notice the

closeness. John believed the love, and he had no fear. He's

the only one that didn't run. AUDIENCE: That's good. KENNETH:

Right here, when they were having this supper, Peter--where

was John? He wasn't next to him. He was laying his head on his--

(Laughter) Of course, back there then, people didn't sit down in

chairs. They sat on the floor. Tables were just high enough

for--to be sitting on the floor. And he's sitting there next to

the Lord and he just laid over there on him.

Peter can't--Jesus is talking about Judas. Peter came

up and said, "Ask Him who it is." (Laughter) Peter wouldn't

ask Him. "Ask Him who it is." So John said, "Who is it?"

(Laughter) Or something like that. Amen? See, he believed the

love. AUDIENCE: Yeah. KENNETH: So he's very close to Him, said

whatever's on his heart. But when the time came, he's the

only one that followed Him all the way in court, all the way.

He went all the way. He didn't run. The only one that didn't

run. May I give you something else here? AUDIENCE: Yes.

KENNETH: He lived longer than any of them. (Audience Agrees)

AUDIENCE: Amen. Wow. KENNETH: He lived longer than any of them

because you got a target on you, brother, when you start

preaching faith. (Audience Agrees) And Satan will put a

stop to this thing if he possibly can. And the way he

gets through to most people, they don't believe the love.

AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: And God gets blamed for putting

sickness on people. God gets blamed for all of that, while

all the time you're spending time thinking about that, even

if you don't believe it. All the time you spend thinking about it

is wasted brain power. It's wasted mental power. You could

have just been laughing at the thing and said, "Satan, I don't

know who you think you are, but you can't put that on me. My God

loves me and I have no fear of anything you've got." AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: "My--I'm telling you. My Father loves me, you

understand?" I don't care if beads of sweat all over your

brow and your--both knees are shaking. You just come right up

and just laugh at him because the joy of the Lord is your

strength. (Audience Agrees) And, "I'm not going to let you put

that on me." AUDIENCE: Amen. Yes, Lord. Thank You, Jesus.

That's right. Amen. KENNETH: You have to believe the love.

AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: If you start yielding, every little bit

of ground you yield to fear, Satan's in there. Now, Verse 26

of the 17th chapter of John, "I have declared unto them your

name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast

loved me may be in them, and I in them." They had no

understanding of what He's talking about, not until after

He--not until after He was raised from the dead. They had

no understanding of what He was talking about. But my, my, my,

that's what the cross was all about. Romans 5:5, "The love of

God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit." Amen.

That's what He's talking about. That love is inside you and

inside me right now. And it never fails. People fail it, but

it never fails. Never. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Love has never

failed. Love has never made a failure. But there's only one

way to walk in a place of freedom from fear, not just

managing fear. People manage fear. You can take a guy that

rides bulls for a living. I never could figure that out,

but-- (Laughter) Here's a guy that would crawl on the back of

a 2500-pound Brahma bull and not have any fear of it. AUDIENCE:

Come on! KENNETH: But he's just managing the fear. AUDIENCE:

That's right. KENNETH: He goes and gets his truck and he's

driving to the next rodeo and he's sitting there worried about

his finances, worried about his wife, worried about his kids,

and worried about everything. He's broke and can't get by. And

he's hurting all over, broke every bone in his body. So fear

is eating him up. AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: He's just

managing it. AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: But, perfected love--I

John 4:16, "Perfected love casteth out fear." AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: Violation of the commandment of love, bam, and

Satan is right in there and fear is on the spot. You repent?

You've--particularly, you know your rights. Amen. We have a

dream team of advocate and counselors. AUDIENCE: Amen.

Thank You, Lord. KENNETH: Brother Dennington and I, and

Lori and I and Gloria, we've been--we've been studying on

something that the Lord brought up. First I heard about it was

from Chip Brim, and then through him, got acquainted with Brother

Henderson that wrote the book that Chip got ahold of. Whew.

I'm not going to get--I'm not going to get all that far in it,

but it's oh so interesting and very scriptural. I'm just not

ready to teach it yet. But this part is extremely important.

Jesus is the righteous judge. (Audience Agrees) We know Him as

Savior and all these things, but we've never stopped to think

about Him being judge. He's also our advocate. But then you find

in the word "paracletes," the comforter, the teacher, the

helper, there is also--that word also means "counselor" and

"advocate." Well, you get over into I John, we've already read

that over there. If we do sin, we have an advocate with the

father. That's an attorney. (Audience Agrees) AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: Folks, we've got a dream team. (Applause) Amen.

We can take that rascal to court. I mean, you just stand up

there and repent. "I repent in the name of Jesus, and I receive

my benefits." (Audience Agrees) "I receive my forgiveness from

all uncleansing, from all unrighteousness. I receive it

right now. And I bring this case to court in the name of the Lord

Jesus Christ right now. And, Satan, you shut your mouth!"

(Cheers & Applause) "You ain't got a word to say in this

court." (Audience Agrees) "You just shut up." But you're going

to have to believe the love. Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. Yes.

KENNETH: But the more you function in this area, the more

fear loses its grip. (Audience Agrees) Now, I have--I've

actually experienced not having fear, not just manage it. But

now, you have to walk in this because I'm telling you, you

start judging people a little a bit and I mean it'll come back

on you. You ought to stay in it and stay with it. But you have

to begin when the symptoms of fear are all still there. Now,

years ago, Gloria was learning how to fly in a little single

engine Cessna. And we flew that airplane on a Sunday afternoon

down to this little country airport. And we got down there,

and wasn't anybody on the airport. And so--but we knew

what we wanted to go see and we did. And we came back to the

airplane, I mean, the thing's just running fine. And so I got

in the airplane. I was flying home. She's in the right seat.

Pre-flighted, everything's fine. The key in the starter, all on.

Nothing. And I thought, "Well, that--how can that be?" My

battery was perfect when I left Fort Worth, and I didn't--I

didn't lose my--I didn't lose my alternator. So my battery should

be good." But it's deader than a hammer. There's nobody on this

airport. There's no way to get around. I don't like to do this

and haven't done this very many times. But--and each time was a

time of emergency where--and if you know what you're doing, you

can do it. And so I went--I went through all of the procedures

with Gloria and told her, "Now, here's the left magneto, here's

the right magneto. And this is on. Now, I want that key all the

way off. I don't want this thing starting while I'm moving the

propeller before I get ready to start the thing." I went through

it two, three times. And I'm standing there, looking at it,

and I said, "You got it?" "Yeah," she said, "I got it. I

can do it." Brakes are set. Little airplanes are easy to

prop. But the prop's sitting over here like this, and it

needed to be moved right here to get it on the stroke. When I

moved it, it fired. That'll kill you. And most people get hurt

very, very bad under those conditions. Thank God. Thank

God. I just backed off. And the thing's running. How could that

be? I found out what's called the P-lead between the magnetos

and the starter was broken. So it wasn't connected to the

battery. The battery was fine. With the switch off, the mags

were hot. AUDIENCE: Ah. KENNETH: That's my fault. I should have

checked it when I landed while the motor's still running. If I

had cut it off and it kept running, uh-oh. But no, I can't

blame this on Gloria. I can't blame it on anybody but me. Not

bad luck, no such thing. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH:

Bad management. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: Well, I went

ahead and took off. We're flying out of there and I'm flying

along there. And I noticed that didn't have any effect on me,

because, usually, you know, I mean, your heart's pounding or

something. And a voice sitting out here said, "You like to

killed yourself." I said, "No, I didn't." "Yeah, you did. You

like to killed yourself." I said, "No, I didn't. No, I

didn't come nowhere close to killing myself." "Yeah, you did.

You like to killed yourself." I said, "No. My God loves me and

He takes care of me, and you can't kill me without my

permission." (Cheers & Applause) AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: There

was absolutely no fear, and that's the first time I had ever

noticed that. I hadn't been put in that position. And this is

back there when we were--had first begun to learn this and

walk in these things. It wasn't there. It wasn't that I was, you

know, a little nervous and settled down there in a little

bit. It wasn't there. Hallelujah. AUDIENCE: Amen.

KENNETH: Now, that--whoa. But now let's get more serious than

that. Our little granddaughter, 11 years old, I went upstairs to

get her on Christmas Day, was delirious. Took her to Cook's

Medical Center in Fort Worth, and diagnosed her with

Neisserian meningitis. And people--there was an epidemic of

that among children. The hospital was just filled to

capacity with it. Some had already died. An infectious

disease specialist let Kellie know that they didn't expect her

to make it through the night. Kellie told me, she said,

"Daddy, there's just like a black cloud or something, just a

shroud kind of thing, just coming down over me." She walked

up to Terri and said--and Terri said she could see it in her

eyes-- "I refuse to fear." (Audience "Amens") She said,

"Daddy, it was amazing how weak that thing was." She said, "It

just vrrt." (Cheers & Applause) She said, "I had no fear at all,

no fear at all." AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: It was God. By then, we

finally got into town that night, late about 11:00 that

night. It started early that Christmas morning. We got in

there and they had her in the--in the isolation ward and

all that. And flying home, the Lord had given me exactly the

words to say, exactly what to do. Now, at that point, if I say

anything else, those are idle words-- AUDIENCE: That's right.

KENNETH: --and they'll cost me. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH:

If I do anything else, it's not going to work. Way too much

talk. Way too much talk. Not enough reverence for God and His

Word. "Oh, God, help me. Oh, God, oh, God, oh, God! Oh, God,

God, God, God, God!" Shut up. What's happening? Fear just

running out your mouth, your faith hasn't got a chance. It

can't do anything. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: I walked

up to the side of her bed. I said, "Lyndsey--" I did exactly

what the Lord told me to do. I took my index finger, put it

right on her breastbone. "--I speak to the anointing that is

in you. Rise up and put this disease out of your body." She

gritted her teeth and shouted, "Papaw! I'm healed in the name

of Jesus!" (Applause) Every symptom left. Glory to God. She

had--she had--she had some hang-on of some hearing loss and

she just stood on her faith with that. Somebody'd call on the

telephone. She would take it off her good ear and put it over

there and talk on that bad one. She kept doing

that and confessing that and all that left.

(Amens & Applause) Believe the love! AUDIENCE: Hallelujah.

KENNETH: Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Hallelujah.

Allow the Love of God to Unlock Your Faith with Kenneth Copeland (Air Date 6-8-17) - Duration: 21:57.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for me.

I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: When faith makes a demand on Jesus' anointing, it

gets God's attention. Join Kenneth Copeland today

on the Believer's Voice of Victory, and learn how

faith and love work together to remove all fear. Here's Kenneth.

KENNETH: Now let's go back to where we were.

I don't want to get--I don't want to get--just not far

at all away from this 16th verse. It is just so vital, so

powerful. "We have known and believed the love that God has

to us." Now, we were talking yesterday about Jairus. Well,

look at the rest of this. "God is love; and he that dwelleth in

love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made

perfect," or mature, "that we may have boldness in the day of

judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is

no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because

fear hath torment." All right. When the person from the--from

Jairus' house came up and said, "Your daughter's dead," Jesus

said, "Fear not: believe only, she shall be made whole." She

will, she--not maybe. She will be made whole. How was he strong

enough when somebody said his daughter's dead? I mean, I've

thought about this. You don't--you just--you want to

just--under that kind of news, and you're standing there

thinking, "If we hadn't stood there all that time messing with

her, we would have got there on time." And somebody come and

told me, "Don't trouble the master anymore. Your daughter's

already dead?" Man, that'd make you want to hit the first thing

moving, just swing or holler or fall on your face and cry and

grieve. He never said a word, not after he said, "Come home

with me. Put your hands on her. She'll live." (Audience Agrees)

"Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

Faith came. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Faith came when he fell

out there at His feet. Faith came. Jairus is no stranger

here. He's the leader of the synagogue. I'll tell you

something else. He spent some time thinking about this while

that girl was still sick because he knows he got his whole--his

whole life and career on the line. (Audience Agrees) Boy,

they're going to kick him out. AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH:

They find out--find this out. And he didn't just come up and

ask Him to go home with him, he fell at His feet--(Audience

Agrees)--and admonished Him greatly. He was not begging.

Begging won't get it. He is admonishing Him. Now, this

is--it's very seldom I'm going to give you my opinion. But this

is--just comes from being around a while. Being the leader of the

synagogue--I believe he's quoting scripture to Him,

because Jesus never said a word. He just headed home with him.

Hadn't said a word yet. "Who touched me?" Faith put Him on

the move, and faith stopped Him in the middle of the road.

(Audience Agrees) And Jairus still hadn't said anything.

Hallelujah. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH: But what

stopped the fear? Faith won't stop fear in itself. Perfected

love casteth out fear. Now, you can't do it without faith.

AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: But faith worketh by love. AUDIENCE:

Right. KENNETH: Huh? AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: Now,

Jesus' perfect or matured love casteth out fear. Love Himself,

perfect love was speaking to him. (Audience Agrees) No fear

here. AUDIENCE: Yeah, no fear here. That's right.

KENNETH: No fear. Arrested the fear. (Audience Agrees)

Now, isn't that strange? The woman with the issue of blood,

she was afraid, but she kept saying--now,

I'd like to touch on. Well, no, the Lord said,

"Don't do this," so I'm not going to touch it. For

additional--He said, "No." (Laughter) The Amplified--the

Classic Amplified says, "She kept saying. She kept saying.

She kept saying, If I but touch his clothes, I'll be healed."

Now, she wasn't afraid of Him as such. I really--and here again

from reading this who knows how many times, I really think she's

nervous about Jairus. (Audience Agrees) I really think so. I

really think they knew one another. She probably went to

his synagogue-- AUDIENCE: Yep, right. KENNETH: --before she got

sick. AUDIENCE: Yep. KENNETH: Now, she's not allowed to go to

synagogue with an issue of blood. No, no, she's not allowed

out in public. That's what made her nervous. That's what she's

afraid of. She's in a place she's not supposed to be. She

wasn't afraid of Jesus. AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: And

she touched that garment, and man. Well, now, don't you know

it meant something to Jairus? He's standing there listening to

Jesus minister to her and He said, "Daughter"? AUDIENCE: Yes,

yes. KENNETH: He knew exactly what He's talking about. She's a

daughter of Abraham. (Audience Agrees) She's supposed to be

healed. He knew exactly what He's referring to, and so is his

daughter, a daughter of Abraham. And she's supposed to be healed!

(Agreement & Applause) Hallelujah. AUDIENCE: Yes!

Hallelujah. KENNETH: Say it with me. "Fear--" (Audience Repeats)

"--tolerated is faith contaminated." Say it again,

"Fear tolerated is faith contaminated." (Audience

Repeats) Faith--you take a formula--let's say you have a

container of acid in its purest form. I mean, this stuff is sure

enough potent. Well, what happens when you start pouring

water in there? You're contaminating it? What's it

doing? Losing its power. Now, in science, if you're doing

something on purpose is one thing. But spiritually, a little

fear ain't a good thing. (Audience Agrees) "Oh, I've

heard people preach that." "Well, you know, fear is

healthy." I ain't got time to say anything other than, "Bull."

(Laughter) Fear will kill you. (Audience Agrees) Amen.

AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Well, read it in the book of

Revelation, "The fearful have their place in the lake of

fire." AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: And they're in there

with some bad company, brother. A quote about in that very

scripture in the book of Revelation, it says,

"whoremongers." Well, try to convince your wife that, you

know, a little whoring around ain't going to hurt anything.

(Laughter) Yeah, huh? Uh-huh. Wham! Oh, say that again, will

you? (Laughs) No, no, no, that ain't going to work, Jack. Don't

think about it. Amen. Amen. Well, see these are spiritual

things. You don't contaminate them. AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH:

But--and people say that. I'm not saying that as a form of

judgment. It's ignorance, ignorance of the New Testament.

Brother Hagin used to say this, and I believe it

with--absolutely. He said, "That is the results of being

religiously brainwashed instead of New Testament taught."

AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH: Because once you've been

brainwashed to religion, you don't pay much attention to your

Bible. You just keep assuming that it says certain things. And

there's certain words in there you just don't see. AUDIENCE:

Right. KENNETH: Now, I never experienced that because I never

did have any religion. But I've talked to people. One very close

friend of mine was a seminary student. And he said that he was

reading through the 2nd chapter of Acts concerning being

baptized with the Holy Spirit. And he was just reading through

there. And all of a sudden, the Lord opened his eyes and there

was a little low-level devil, one of those principalities or

powers, sitting there on his desk with his hand over some of

those scriptures. He read them, but he didn't read them. And

he--and he told him, "Get off there!" And he left. And he

said, "Look at this. I need to be doing this." AUDIENCE: Praise

God. Yes, yes. KENNETH: Now, see what that devil was doing? I'm

not saying that the professors are brainwashing people because

their brains are just as washed as theirs is. What--the devil is

the culprit here. (Audience Agrees) Amen. And if it hadn't

been for the grace of God, you and I would be doing worse.

(Audience Agrees) Amen. We're just so blessed. (Audience

Agrees) AUDIENCE: Amen. Hallelujah. KENNETH: Hallelujah.

AUDIENCE: Praise God. KENNETH: We just need to stop and just

thank God right now. Just, oh, God, thank You. (Praise &

Applause) Oh, Lord, thank You. Oh, Lord, thank You Lord. Thank

You, Lord. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH: Oh, believe the love.

Yeah, believe the love, believe the love, believe the love.

Hallelujah. Thank You, Lord. Now, then, "There is no fear in

love; perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.

He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him,

because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth

his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother

whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God

love his brother also. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the

Christ is born of God." Now, how many in here believe that? Okay.

Say, "That's my hand." AUDIENCE: That's my hand. KENNETH: All

right. "Whosoever," so that makes you a whosoever, right?

AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: All right. "Whosoever believeth

that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: every one that loveth

him that begat--every one that loveth him that gave birth

loveth him also that is born of him." If you love the Father,

you ought to love the children. (Audience Agrees) Now, here's

one of the points I wanted to get at right here. We all

started exactly the same way, a born-again Baptist, a born-again

Catholic, a born-again Presbyterian, a born-again

nothing. (Laughter) All of us started the same way, exactly

the same measure of faith. AUDIENCE: Amen. Amen. KENNETH:

Romans 12 will tell you right now. AUDIENCE: Right. KENNETH:

"He's given unto every man among you the measure of faith," the

same measure, absolutely the same, every one of us exactly

the same. A born-again Jew got the same amount as a born-again

Indian. Amen. Now, we all start at that place. Now, what we do

with it from there--(Audience Agrees)--you can be strong in

faith like Abraham. You can be weak in faith. You remember

Jesus said, you know, "Why is it--why are you weak in faith?"

Then, "How come you have no faith?" So you can have weak

faith, no faith, strong faith, but you started out with exactly

the same thing. (Audience Agrees) And the love of God did

it. (Audience Agrees) So the only way you're going to believe

the love, you're going to have to spend some time listening to

it. You're going to have to spend some time reading it in

the Word. You're going to have to spend some time in this,

saying it with your mouth, "God loves me. God loves me as much

as He does Jesus." (Audience Agrees) "And in the name of

Jesus, He is in me now. I am God-inside minded.

I've been made the righteousness of God in Him and I'm

righteousness-minded." No, no, no, no, I'm--get rid of the sin

consciousness--(Audience Agrees)--and begin to get hold

of the faith consciousness, and faith works by love. (Audience

Agrees) Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Now, "Whosoever

believeth Jesus is the Christ is born of God: every one that

loves him that begat," loves the Father, "loveth him also that is

born of him. By this we know that we love the children of

God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is

the love of God," or this is loving God, one translation

said, "that we keep his commandments: and his

commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God

overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh

the world, even our faith." AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. Amen.

KENNETH: Amen. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: This is the victory.

You're a world overcomer. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. Yes.

KENNETH: You're a world overcomer. (Audience Agrees) I

was watching Andrew Wommack earlier today. And he was

talking about the early days of his ministry. And he--and he

read the scripture, "Let not your heart be troubled." Well,

how can you let not your heart be troubled? Well, you're going

to have to rise up and overcome. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: You are

a world overcomer. AUDIENCE: Amen. Thank You, Lord. Yes.

KENNETH: Now, whether you're overcoming or not has to do with

what you're doing with your faith. But your faith won't work

without the love of God. So now you're trying to use your faith,

but you don't pay no attention to your brothers. This is big.

(Audience Agrees) And the more we know about it, the less

you're going to get away with it. Why? It's time to grow up my

brother and sister. It's time to grow up. (Audience Agrees)

There's things that worked for you last year that ain't going

to work for you this year. (Audience Agrees) You're not

going to go around saying, "Don't that just tickle you to

death?" (Audience Agrees) You're going to sneeze and say, "I'm

getting it again." It really, really gives me an opportunity

to forgive--(Laughter)--when I realize that blessing has been

boiled down to the sneeze. "God bless you." Is that the only

time you're going to bless me, "achoo," is when I sneeze?

(Laughter) No, no, no. "Man, I hope I ain't catching

something." Don't catch it. (Laughter) Fumble it. (Laughter

& Applause) Don't catch it. Bat it back. I ain't having that

unless you say, "Well, I'm catching healing just as sure as

God's on His throne." (Laughs) Hallelujah. God loves me and

there ain't no way that--ain't no way some low-level devil

going to point something bigger than a germ on me. AUDIENCE:

Praise God. (Audience Agrees) KENNETH: Hmm-mm. That didn't

come from God in the first place. (Audience Agrees)

KENNETH: Hallelujah. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. KENNETH: Praise God.

Well, it would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. "Whatsoever

is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory

that overcometh the world, even our faith." AUDIENCE:

Hallelujah. KENNETH: Filled with love. See, you had to get--you

had to get to the place of believing the love before your

faith'll overcome the world. Faith won't become any victory

when you're not operating in the love of God. That's the reason

people give up, cave in, quit. It don't work. "Yeah, it does."

No, it don't work. I tried it. It don't work. It don't work for

people that try it. (Audience Agrees) It works for people that

do it. (Audience Agrees) Amen. But in order to do it, you're

going to have to do. You're going to have to do what love

Himself said to do. (Audience Agrees) You have to obey His

commands. What are His commandments? The Word says,

13th chapter of Romans, "And list thou all the thou shalt

nots and any other commandment is--" Turn over there and look,

huh? You need to put your eyes on that again. "For this, Thou

shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not

steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet;

if there be any other commandment, it is briefly

comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy

neighbor as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor:

therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." AUDIENCE:

Hallelujah. KENNETH: So when you're doing that, you're

keeping the commandments. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: You're

satisfying the commandment of Moses. And when you do what

Jesus said, He said, "I give you this commandment, that you love

the brethren even as I love the brethren." AUDIENCE: Yes.

KENNETH: Now you've satisfied the law of Jesus. Glory to God.

And your faith works! (Cheers & Applause) Believe the love and

faith works! AUDIENCE: Glory! KENNETH: Believe the

love and faith works! AUDIENCE: Hallelujah.

DESIREE AYRES: It did not enter my mind at all to ever

go into the ministry. And so I was completely into my career,

and I'm just, you know, chugging along, and he's

going to different ministry things. And I would go unless

I had a call to go to work, because that was,

you know, just my priority. So I have loved Jesus, but I

just didn't have my priorities together. And it was February

25th, 1985, that I was supposed to be riding in a 4 x 4 truck,

and at a certain point, my stunt was to press the button which

would make the hood of the vehicle go up in smoke, and then

I was to dive out of the vehicle. When I pressed the

button and went to dive, it wasn't a smoke bomb, it was a

14-pound naphthalene fire bomb. And so usually, if a stunt

person's working around fire, you either have on an asbestos

suit or fire gel. I had nothing. So my entire face, neck, chest,

arms were all burns in second and third degree burns. It

completely took off my upper lip. I was knocked out. And when

I came to, they told me a helicopter is coming to take me

to the Sherman Oaks Burn Center, who--who should they call? And I

said, "Call my husband. He needs to start praying for me." And so

they got me into the helicopter, and I remember, on the way to

the burn center, having this heart-to-heart and just going--I

just kind of saw life. I saw my entire life. I saw that I'd been

duped by the devil, you know, that my priorities were not

straight, that I had the industry above God and that

there's no amount of money that's worth disobeying God and

not following His path. I should have been killed. I knew this

hit was to kill me. So now I'm in intensive care, critical

condition, being shot full of morphine, having allergic

reactions, asking to be taken off the morphine. My dad comes

in, he starts crying. My husband, who never cries, comes

in. He takes a look at me, he starts crying. So I'm like,

"Okay, this is going--this is not good." And he just said,

"Desiree--" and I thank God for this. I thank God for the two

years we had sitting under the Word, hearing from the

Copelands, having them teach us the Word that Jesus loves us,

that He's a good God, that He's a healing God, and that the Word

of God is health and healing to all your flesh. And my husband

said, "This is what we're standing on, Proverbs 4:20-22."

And I had a little cassette player, and they brought it in

with all my Kenneth Copeland tapes and Gloria Copeland tapes,

and I would hear the Word, and I would meditate on the Word. And

what should have been the worst time of my life was the best

time. The other thing that I--we so learned was, you know, what

you're saying, not going by what you're feeling. And that the

nurse wanted me--my lip was all infected. It was starting to

grow back. And she wanted me to look in the mirror. And I wasn't

going to accept how I looked. I didn't want to identify with how

I looked. She said, "You need to accept that you're going to be

scarred for the rest of your life." I said, "No, I'm not

going to look." And my husband would bring 8-by-10 photos and

say, Desiree, I want you to look at this. This is who I want you

to see. This is how you're going to look." And so I walked out of

there 10 days later with it looking like I had a sunburn,

with Dr. Grossman saying, "Desiree, this is a miracle."

MEL AYRES: We would read the Word of God to her for 12 hours.

Her dad would take a shift, and then I would take a shift

because we were standing on that scripture, "The Word of God is

health and healing to all your flesh." And we read the Word of

God to her. We would quote the healing scriptures. And we had

been just so blessed to be under Ken and Gloria's ministry and

teaching. And we began to quote the Word and confess the Word of

God like Ken and Gloria do--taught us, and in 10 days,

she just walked out of there. And I'm just so thankful.

DESIREE: God's not a respecter of persons. What He's

done for us He'll do for you. And His Word's

health and healing. And if you meditate on it, if you think

about it-- MEL: Faith comes. DESIREE: -- Faith comes by

hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
