Waching daily Jun 5 2017

you

dear brothers and sisters in Islam and humanity assalamualaikum warahmatullahi

wabarakatuh may peace mercy and blessings of allah subhana WA Ta'ala be

on all of you welcome to the show Ramadan a date with dr. Zakia I am your

host use of chambers and today we will be discussing the topic benefits of

fasting dr. Zakir once again I greet you with Salaam's assalamualaikum

warahmatullahi wabarakatuh walaikum asalam bottom of the labor

gather the benefits of fasting dr. Zakir in the previous episode we discussed the

objectives of fasting and within the objectives of fasting we mentioned these

spiritual religious benefits are there any other benefits that you need to tell

the audience about al hamdulillah what's the loudest Allah Allah a fully

level and you establish me I'm my bad I also below him in the shaytani regime

with me layer of man Raheem rubbish charitably

- liam li walakum between lasagnas cock only as far as benefits besides

religious and spiritual benefits there are various benefits of fasting and as

where he mentioned in the last interview discussed about religion spiritual there

are other benefits which can be categorized into three different

categories physical benefits of fasting there are psychological benefits fasting

as well as there are social benefits of fasting I see

let's move on to the first category the physical benefits what exactly are the

physical benefits of fasting since fasting mainly involves in abstaining

from food drink and sex from dawn to sunset

they realized that the stomach is the main organ of the body which has the

maximum degrees maximum yield that's our beloved posture mindful

attention it's mentioned in every miser while number four how did number three

three four nine upload profit said that there is nothing better that a son of

Adam can fill in the container with more evil than the stomach it is sufficient

for a man to be on his feet with a few muscles but if yes tree is more you can

divide the summer in three parts one-third for the food one-third for the

drink and one-third for his breath one-third for the air so what we realize

that the maximum disease is originated in the stomach regardless house for

bacteria and the food that we eat it enters the stomach from the stomach it

gets there just goes into the intestinal tract then the food nutrients enter the

bloodstream and then goes to almost all the different organs of the body and we

realize that the stomach is working continuously throughout the life it now

gets any rest then we fast this stomach which is a

very delicate organ dodo a delicate it is a very complicated organ it's

delicate at the same time it's very important it keeps on working through

the day this organ mildly fast when no food enters for several as it

gets rest and the toxins that are there in the body they are removed they are

pushed out so fasting is a very good way but physically it's beneficial for the

body it removes all the toxins and it helps when very easy desist what about

the psychological impacts upon the human psyche regarding fasting I think that's

very important as far as the psychological dimension of concerned

fasting helps in patient forbearance and but event it helps the person to

increase his self-control health self-worth it helps them to increase the

self reflexivity also the first training and discipline is improved the main

psychological benefit of fasting is the increase in patience and perseverance

and it can make a person who says I cannot do again we can say I can do and

fasting helps in the conditioning of the heart body mind and soul it improves the

overall dimension of the u.e.b and fasting in a sort of film it even helps

in behavioral change and changing a behavior is very difficult a person

who's used to a particularly severe very difficult it is as we say that the best

type of jazz is jazz enough that is striving against your own soul so the

change the habits is one of the thing which is most difficult which fasting

can do and since jihad that is run in the

battlefield is of utmost important when required if you cannot do jihad

if you cannot strive against you all soul how can you strive against enemy so

therefore fasting helps in that dimension that's the reason fasting was

made first before jihad fasting was made for 15 years after prophet in the second

degree and next year one year later jihad MidFirst so Allah - Allah first

wanted to train and make the Muslims fit psychologically with the help of fasting

and then the cattle part was made first so psychologically variant food and

normally a human being we eat three meals a day in a week about 21 weeks now

that it changed that behavioral pattern of eating is changed to 2 means lightly

late in the evening or early night and before dawn so the whole pattern is

changed and this helps in various psychological aspects the

cleaning and today's back already tell us that if you can control your hunger

we can control almost all your desires actually from the psychological aspect

myself just to add something there it was the fasting in the last week and

a half of Ramadan which changed it for me

it changed my mind totally and that's what actually led me to taking the

Shahada a little basically some deluxe and I know that's why I mentioned the

psychological aspects very important on to the next question

regarding the social impact of fasting there are any specific areas that you

can shed light on for as far as the social impact of concern in fasting the

person realizes about the other human beings who are poor who don't let food

around a shelter and it makes us realize that how does it feel when a person is

hungry many of us were rich who has no problem of eating food then we first

realized how does it feel when a person is hungry so our loved and have a care

for the poor people increases and furthermore even we realize the bondage

of Allah subhanAllah how many times do we really tank allah

subhanaw taala for the food you have given us for the water imagine the air

that we get that we breathe how many and we thank Allah for that so the food the

water with Allah provides us Village People hardly the mind goes towards it

but while fasting the DLF that it helps them to care for the poor people it also

helps them in being generous to the other human beings in sharing with other

human beings it also helps in forgiving other people's fault so fasting helps

Society in various ways and furthermore a beloved form of colostrum said it's

mentioned in sale JAMA point number one I did number eight nine

sticks the blood prophet said that if you

mercy on those on the earth then those were in the heaven they will have mercy

on you that miracle most people to the original

beings last man on earth Allah Allah bikini so this fasting it helps us in

building the society better it helps us in being generous helps us be loving in

carrying the other human beings and besides not only the poor people it

helps us in being good with all the human beings it helps us in be good with

the family help selves in the Guru society and many a time we don't realize

that we don't give enough time to our family especially in the Western world

at least in fasting go with the family twice and people make it a point that in

fasting it leaves they should do the for the family and it least break the faster

the family so at least they are with the family twice in the day so the bonding

in the family increases there's a family get together the parents get more

provincial especially in the Western world where just neglected as far the

society is concerned it is very helpful in getting up side together we many a

time go to our neighbours during it start we call our friends call our

neighbours and the beloved portion of solution state it's mentioned in say

Muslim one number three have this number five three seven nine the Prophet said

whenever you are invited do not refuse so people invite each other during his

path in the month of Ramadan so it helps in getting the human beings closer to

one another whether these neighbors whether the society at large and it's

also a very good time for self-improvement as well as doing a flaw

and Dawa we meet people in the mosque many people don't go to the mosque again

number one become the mosque we meet them we can chat with them we go for

toffee and this is the time we can do s la we're going to download the

non-muslim and as you rightly said from nun was the month the time we change a

heart and Allah gave is daya it is very important and that's why the beloved

portion of Silicon said mission Samantha moody I did number one

nine to four that Allah bestows his mercy on those would themselves show

mercy to others again a perfect test and it came to melodies that if you show

mercy to those or not those in the heavens will show mercy to it so fasting

helps in building on the society and getting people to the dominant physical

ahead dear brothers and sisters inshallah we'll meet soon after a short

break Salaam walekum last metal ye or better

god-fearing law-abiding dear brothers and sisters and Islam and humanity

assalamu alaikum welcome back to the show ramadan they

were dr. Zakia I'm your host used of chambers and today

we are discussing the benefits of fasting dr. Zakir let's move on to the

next question I want to come back to some of the points you were mentioning

under the physical changes and benefits of the fast what are the medical

implications of fasting there are innumerable medical benefits than a

person passed I'll just mention a few of them it organizes the heartbeat and

elected it it reduces the pressure on the heart arteries and it reduces the

fat the cholesterol as well as the acids it releases the pressure on the liver

fasting also decreases the secretion of the digestive glands which normally

cause disaster the less time stress of having kidney stones in the person fast

fasting is also helpful in non instrument dependent diabetes and

fasting you've also helpful inducing of it fasting as a whole it is beneficial

for the whole digestive system as a central nervous system

fasting helps in removing the toxins from the body

fasting increases the immunity of the body fasting also reverses the aging

process it increases the longevity life span of a human being

fasting also helps in creation of more of t-cells which turn on killer cells

and fasting as a whole it rejuvenates and overall the complete body and there

are various diseases which helped when a person passed for example a person who's

suffering from certain diseases and have a person fast a title for it for example

in cardiovascular disease a person suffering from Optima from arthritis

from digestive disorders if he's suffering from lupus from skin disorders

it is suffering from non-neutral dependability

there are various so this can go on and go on and it is even helpful in removing

a person who's addicted to things which are Haram and it'll basically damn good

for example smoking a person who is an alcoholic or a person who the chain

smoker fasting helps them in breaking this wrong habit

in addition let's move on to the next question relates to the science behind

the benefits of fasting there are some people and I want to know whether

they're right or not we say that fasting actually has some harmful effects on a

person psychological social physical etc is that correct several approaches have

been done many find this at first after is confront and what effect does it have

in various aspects of living body and scientists will tell us that when a

person takes in food it increases the metabolism of the body when the food

intake is reduced or in a person fast the body metabolism rate goes down by

about 80 percent and if you fast continuously for

several days per month then this stabilizes at a lower rate the body

metabolism rate is released by fasting further the research done on various

groups of male and female Muslims word fasted and it showed that there was a

slight reduction in the body weight but those increase in the glucose level as

far as all the other things are concerned it remained constant whether

it was the testosterone of the cottage cell whether it was sodium potassium

urea whether of cholesterol whether it was HDL high links and Aleppo protein

whether it was LDL low density lipoprotein whether it was T G the

Tigris ride all these the body levels remain the same the fasting did not have

any effect on them except it increased the glucose levels and there was a

slight duction bit when another official conduct in Iran where some men fasted

for about 17 hours for 30 days in the month of Ramadan it showed that it had

no effect on the male reproductive hormone on the desktops alone and it had

no effect on the HP TA as well as on the thyroid hormones there were several

researches conducted the also research though the study made which was called

as increase in oxidation month of ramadhan on healthy woman away from

maintaining the weight weight maintenance and it showed that during

fasting there was no change as far as the physiology of the body was concerned

the weight was same and all the function were the same fasting increases the fat

oxidation and decreases the carbohydrate oxidation and you have to realize that

we have to let the physician of the Western world they should know that they

should note the levels of bilirubin and glucose while fasting

the Forrestal is conducted that fasting increases the mucosa developed B

lymphocyte cells responsiveness but if not sure I change in the beam for the

responsiveness of the rheumatoid arthritis and the help volunteers but in

fasting it increases the longevity of the life increases like Spanier of many

researches conducted animals it increases lifespan further research was

conducted on the lactating women when they fasted the fasting did not increase

or decrease there was no change in the middle column however content of the

milk the glucose level was the same the fat concentration of the same the

lactose contained all the same there was no change per se as far as the lactating

mothers were concerned the research is done regarding fastings effect on

menstruating women as well as the reproductive cycle and when the research

was done there's no change whatsoever there wasn't any change in the menstrual

cycle in fasting or there was no negative effect no positive effect so it

is wrong to say that fasting as an ill-effect there are many benefits which

we discussed earlier but there are certain positive points that fasting has

helped in certain diseases for example rheumatoid arthritis osteoarthritis it

helps and what we realized that we researchers were done that on animals

when they are sick they don't before having any food same thing with the

children when children get sick they don't prefer having food it is the

family members who fought them draft food and research has shown that when

food is taken when a person is sick it prevents them from getting well early it

hampers the immune system so when a person fast when you seriously ill it

helps them to recover faster that is a reason now we find that there are many

treatments within good fasting for very diseases which

ballistamon because when a person fast in body get stressed and the toxins are

removed from the body so it helps them to recover faster and fasting is also

good to change the behavior pattern and if a person is addicted or a person is i

colic as I mentioned earlier or is a chain smoker if you fast it's a good

point that he can stop it for the life and people who have betrayed it to

things like tea coffee junk food when they fast and they stay

away from it when they taste buds they don't have for the full month the taste

buds don't crave for that and when they're healthy food they start liking

it that's a good time to stay away from junk food if you can do it for one month

you can good for your life yes and there are certain diseases for example insulin

dependent diabetes a person who's suffering from insulin dependent

diabetes we should not fast because yes ketosis normally the ketones are used as

a source of energy but if a person has insulin dependent diabetes he is unable

to use this so therefore person where insulin dependent ability should not

fast but naturally if you take insulin and fast and with the medical advice

it's fine but the other type of diabetes which is more common non

insulin-dependent diabetes fasting helpful for that another mentioned

earlier it's helpful in very diseases like Tara Webster disease Optima

arthritis digestive tight diseases in lupus and skin disease can name a list

of diseases in which fasting is of big benefit

brothers and sisters in shala we'll meet soon after the short break

Salam alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh hearings over there dear brothers and

sisters and islam and humanity assalamualaikum

welcome back to the show and they were dr. Zakia I'm your host

use of chambers and today we are discussing the benefits of fasting

salaam aleikum walekum apollo Monica lubricant dr. Zakia

I think it would be really interesting to know I mean this research has it been

done by Muslims or non-muslims this is the first you have been done by both

Muslim and non-muslim and there are hundreds of non-muslim scientists who

have done research on fasting so it's not only the Muslim more non-muslims do

default on fasting but the IVA Muslims for example if you read the book fasting

a way of life Milan cut he write that fasting is altogether it gives a rest to

the digestive tract as well as a central nervous system to the whole body and

here's a non Muslim there was a refreshing mind in doctor by the name of

dr. Shankar and money and she says that when a person is fast there is no intake

of food so the toxins are created by the food that you eat so no new toxin have

created and whatever toxin is there present in the body from before it gets

excused from the body so fasting is a very good method of educating all the

toxins from the body and it purifies the body system as well my non-muslim very

first isn't even a Muslim he so it's done we're out of a lemon in the

University Hospital in Amman in Jordan and he did a research on a group of men

and women they were 42 men and anything's woman and the first person

that they fasted and the changes in the body was noted and they found out that

there was a slight reduction in weight and there's an increase in the glucose

level but as far as the other components are concerned testosterone cortisol

sodium potassium yuria all of them remain the same

there's no change as per in the body count except it was an increase and the

reduction in the weight of the movie there were several research is done by

non-muslims those a group of non-muslim scientists who did research in Africa in

areas where they were family and they realized that people Mendel

research that people who were starving because of famine and they lived in the

same village ECAM some people who had food and some people were starving but

those who were starving that less chances of having tuberculosis as well

as malaria so fasting increase the defense mechanism against tuberculosis

and malaria so it's a last verse fear hamdulillah

can you believe because they were starving it prevented them from having

tuberculosis and malaria Allahu Akbar the research is done the non-muslims a

show that fasting increases the longevity increase the life span and it

has a reversal on the aging process those who searched then by a Muslim

scientist by the name of dr. ossama candle in the how olicity Muslim mother

in a non-muslim can take down the community and he did a research on

patient suffering from cancer and he tried to find out what they do the cells

function especially the killer cells which attack the cancer cells and he did

accounting just before they started fasting and then he again do the

counting on the Beneful there from them they're going to end there from that and

he found that there was a marked difference after 21 days and 28 days the

number of cells the killer cells they increased and these cells they attack

the cancer cells and it shows that even the immunity increased the difference

mechanism of the human being because of fasting it increased and the renewal

research again done in the same tissues and it found out that the t-cells which

are normally required for the defense ability of the human being they

christow gate length and p says the minute is possible when anyone has a

disease they are mainly the soldiers or they are called the Major General of the

army that you have they are the t-cells and they go when they see to it

any disease is there it goes and try and destroy the disease and age of the

disease which mainly attacks these peoples therefore it is known as

acquired immune deficiency syndrome so when you fast these cells increase and

immunity of the win means increased I'd like to mention one research done by a

European non Muslim by the name of dr. Jeffrey and what it is that fasting is

not only done by human beings fasting is even done by the animals and

the plants and you give the example the animals that live in cold countries

during heavy snowfalls they stay separately and they don't eat and they

will hibernation and there are examples of animals like frog which were in

hibernation and here's it only in a first and again the example it is book

that even the trees in winter as they don't get water they're fasting but the

moment they don't spring comes you'll find that the tree is filled up the

colorful leaves with flowers with fruits and he suggested that every human being

every year should at least fast for 40 days and you know that it first probably

Muslim through fasting month or month and the proximal candidate and further

if we keep the fixed days of fasting ensure while that makes is an addictive

so allah subhanaw taala and our prophet has only given us this guidance with the

non-muslim european have given us recently so the many refer children may

non-muslims on fasting and very beneficial in body dr. zakir most of the

research that you've mentioned i suspect a lot of the other research we haven't

had time to mention today was done relatively recently um was this

knowledge this scientific knowledge available for the Muslims in history fi

the earlier Muslims were confirmed some of the facts the moon some were not

known not in the same way as we have come to know by the first today and are

you the reason why later now the main question is confirmed that were they

aware what these aspects of fasting in a different way not been the same as we

know today that reminds me I did a book by Moran Abul Hasan that we are gamma

larvae where mana Burlison not we he writes in the book are gamma larvae and

he gives an incident at the time of California sheet and then he gives a

dialogue between the Christian position of Kali partnership and a Muslim by the

name of Ali bin Hussein bin rocket and this Christian position of caliph harun

Russia he says that the Quran is considered to be a book of Sciences and

we know that two types of Sciences science of the body signs of the soul so

what does your Quran speak about medical science so Ali bin Hussein ben wocken

he said that Allah subhana WA Ta'ala in half of us of the Quran he combines both

these senses when he says yes we are of chap number seven was not even eat and

drink but do not waste in excess fall of a note Allah likes not the people wished

indications and the face but what did you have prophet normal assalam say

about medicine so he said that he is mentioned that the stomach is the main

house of diseases and prevention is the best thing for ailment

information they breathe and cure and as I mentioned a beloved Portman silicium

said it's mentioning it mamaaaaa wrong number for habit number three three four

nine the Prophet said the son of Adam does not fill a vessel more words more

evil than the stomach a few muscles are sufficient to give him on a feat the

quest to eat more one-third of the stomach can be a food one-third link and

one-third should be for his breath so then that a Christian physician said

that means when you had the guidance of your Allah and Prophet Muhammad we did

not require Gallinas journalist he was really famous non-muslim physician of

that name so what the preferred analysts say is an telegraphic message which we

had done research today but the Prophet also already has given a nutshell the

message before and in the same book argan larvae mana boon offended we he

mentioned and give the example of another non Muslim scientists who are

American he says that every human being with the poor or rich he should fast for

some days every year if we keep him healthy and then he says that it's clamp

is the best religion which had made it completely on the follows too fast

and he said that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was the best position to

have prescribed fasting and he said that there's no better healthy way and

fasting and after that kirari in which you have to do some extra files

around him which helps in digestion so if you realize that the non-muslim

appreciated the region of Islam after the lipids do many of the Muslims are

aware about the medical benefits are fasting but the Muslims we don't fast

for these medical benefits we fast for sake of allah subhanaw taala for the

play of allah subhanaw taala we don't pass for the

Vince these medical benefits are ancillary yeah or they may be the maybe

three dishes maybe the different our main biryani a main meal cost if a

pleasure for las manos ala which we discussed in the objective of fasting we

don't file for medical benefit even is this molecular benefit one out there we

muslim would have fasted for las manos allah but and what do we do for last -

allah i will i give this back in return so all that that we do it actually

benefits us in various ways in this world

evelyn Ihara but we muslims don't pass for these medical benefits these are

just bonus so that we get it respectable that we get so not yet with fasting

zakat la ventana yeah that's good so when you listen to

the commandments of allah subhanho wa taala rasul allah salallahu alayhi

wasalam look at his life and implement those things immediately you get some

benefit in this world and subhanAllah dear brothers and sisters inshallah

we'll meet soon after the short break Salam aleikum laughs metal IE or butter

cut is my dear dear brothers and sisters in Islam and humanity assalamu aleikum

welcome back to the show ramadan they were dr. Zakia

I'm your host use of chambers and today we are discussing the benefits of

fasting Salam aleikum walekum : Monica lubricant

dr. Zakir may Allah give us great benefits through the fasting we've

discussed so many benefits there's so many to discuss dr. Zakir I think we

could have three programs on this just on this subject alone

but alas okay we can't spend that much more time in the interview stage because

it's come to an end and we need now to take some questions from the audience

from the people watching peace Evie so let's move on now the first question we

have from one of our viewers is many Muslims

fast during the day could overeat in the nighttime during the month of ramadhan

many eat more food in the month of Ramadan during the nights then they do

during non Ramadan time will they be in a position to derive the medical

benefits that a person who doesn't need too much will get as far as deriving the

medical benefits those people awaiting the night

and we know there are many Muslims unfortunately we eat a lot during star

they'd mix it and many of them keep on eating most part of the night and then

the past this is against the manual of marbella allah says in surah Araf

chapter 7 verse 31 eat and drink but waste not Bikefest

last panel Allah does not like the vistas here we know people buy food they

have start parties that they make a variety of dishes it goes in based and

not lost of lot of money which can benefit the poor people surely this is

not the way of Islam and as I mention earlier beloved performer from assalam

it's mentioned in the hadith Ostrow techni miser or number four and it

number three three four nine that the fund of Adam does not fill a vessel more

worse than the stomach to Mosul sufficient to keep in one feet it's

mostly it more you should divide this among the three parts one-third for food

one-third for drink and 135 spread I want to play based on this but natural

overeating is again vicuna again the commander las manos allah and even he

will not get the benefit of fasting fasting with a person abstain from food

and then has normal there's no weight so most of the benefits that are mentioned

in the medical benefits most of them he will not get some you

negate sometimes it's toh excessively it may cause a damage to health it's like I

give the example in the last episode person it then it puts a finger in the

throat and vomits out the food you eat will not make him healthy

so here the fasting will not benefit if he always it goes again is the principle

of fasting good I think that's a very concise answer and that's what we need

there's lots of questions to get through dr. zakir second question from one of

our viewers again if a Muslim fast with an intention of reducing his or her

weight or dieting will he get the reward of fasting yochi if you're talking about

reward in general Islamic the talking about John a forgiveness at kadra a

beloved prophet said in fermented midi book of fasting added number two three

three one that there's no fast for a person who does not intend to fast the

night before intention is a must intention is for the sake of allah

subhanaw taala for the pledge of Alaska mountain a person does not have this

intention surely he will not get the religious benefit you will not get the

spiritual benefit the reason why we fast that is tough one what we discussed in

the last episode as far as the other medical benefit the person does for

dieting or aap leaders for weight loss he may get those benefits like there are

people who fast maybe political even people do hunger strike people they fast

for the pressure some people fast as we mentioned for

weight loss for dieting so that part of the medical benefit the midget but not

the benefit completely of a slam I never laugh it in the Quran in surah hood chap

number 11 worse than 1660 anyone who does any deed

for this world Allah they sure give him the reward without diminution from this

world but he will have no reward in the hereafter except for Hellfire and he's

really the person who does such did a really misguided

so fasting only for weight loss diet thing is just it is

Pennywise pound-foolish what I realized that we have to mainly

first ethical left panel pala then we get the overall benefit okay I preferred

to get a little bit fat and then but go to paradise actually wouldn't you become

10 indeed guru birthday yes if you passed the complete right really the

spoon of the profit on solutely not lawson was in fact alhamdulillah

yes I get your point dr. Zakir next question the prophet muhammad salallahu

alaihe salam we've heard in previous episodes of the series used to break

fast with the date and it's therefore highly recommended to break fast with

the date and can you inform us about the medical benefits of dates big is the

wholesome food dates contain high level of carbohydrates 44 - is it perfect it

has a low fat content going to the point 5 percent there are about 15 noodles and

salts in date toxic vitamins the protein level is 2 point 3 to 5 point 6 percent

it has a high fiber content 6.4 11.5% depending upon the different types of

date and if you realized that because of the high carbohydrate content it is a

very good source of energy the moment we update immediately gives

the energy it is far better than any other whether at the glucose powder etc

the date gives instant energy and a person can survive only on dates and

water for days are much together and our prophet of Allah solemn there should be

no food for days and weeks togetherness how when you subscribe only on date and

water sometime on date and coming miss so they do wholesome food the fat

content doesn't increase the weight hardly any so there is no risk a person

who's in afraid oh the weight will increase

that's not day as far as the minions are concerned it contains

about 15 different millions it even contains fluoride which prevents the

tooth decay it contains selenium which fights

against cancer and increases the immune system of the human body it contains

about 6 vitamins go to a less degree less content it can be vitamin C vitamin

b1 vitamin b2 niacin it can be vitamin E it has proteins which have 23 different

amino acids and this flow date has amino acids which are not contained in other

fruits which normally people have it's not present in apples oranges banana but

if they're in the date and day it also has a very high content of fiber it is a

fibrous type so it good for digestion and you have date the digestion gets

cleared it can cure constipation and the system is clear it has various benefits

and it is the wholesome food and we realized the rahamtullah in the last 40

years the production of date has increased by 2.9 times and the

population of the world has increased twice so the dead population is much

more than the population of the human beings because it's very wholesome food

and instant energy next question somebody wants to know how does fasting

differ from anorexia anorexia by definition means loss of appetite it's a

particular word use philosophy tight and many times this happens in certain

people those who dieting it's coming in young ladies it's a sort of a disease

that those who diet they abstain from food and then that becomes habit and

they don't want of anything and sometimes when we are going to end or

excel nervosa that psychological disorder that this fear eating thinking

that if they eat then you clear it and that becomes a psychological disorder

so Android clear in a theme but loss of appetite and dieting is not preferred

though most of the people that that the moment they come of the diet they either

go into anorectal nervosa that psychological dimension which if you are

eating anything includes of it and then they lose weight the health goes down or

they go into a binge of or it in a bulimic you know they eat excessive food

and never certain research is conducted on this including in Michigan in 1985

where about five hundred and fifty seven young ladies and all the University out

of which 86% were dieting only 2% of them they still eat excessively when six

months time 19 percent added into the bulimic category deciding move because

the moment you stop dieting you tend to eat excessively and we can move fat or

you go way further on the other side and Roseville nervosa where you don't eat at

all and that damages your body oh and I hope us not to get into that next

question what is the scientific difference between fasting and salvation

fasting scientifically start somewhere close to within 12 us properly called

and when the carbohydrate reserves of the body I used as a source of energy

it's called a fasting moment it starts after maybe a few us initially the food

is utilize and the food intake reduces and when the carbureted reserves of the

body is used for energy source is called a fasting but after the carbohydrate

source in the body deplete gets completely used up then the protein is

used when protein is used as a force of energy is called a starvation then you

find that the muscle mass keeps on reducing the person becomes pin and it

becomes unhealthy scientifically when the corroborated

Paragon - Wukong Overview (Available June 6) - Duration: 2:45.

Wukong and Feng Mao used to be travelling companions.

When Wukong became too annoying, Feng trapped

him in a cave and left. 100 years later,

Wukong is free and on his way to Agora

to resume annoying Feng Mao.

Wukong is a deadly and elusive melee carry,

capable of farming faster than any other hero.

Focus on building items to maximize your damage output.

Control Aggression allows the Monkey King to swap between

an offensive and evasive stance.

Wukong's abilities will have different effects based on which stance he's in.

Control Aggression also comes with a

passive component, giving a small chance that enemy minions will

look visually distinct. If Wukong last-hits

these minions while in his offensive stance, he will gain bonus card power.

Landing the killing blow in his evasive stance

will grant him health. Cloud Walker grants

the Monkey King a double jump. In the offensive stance

the double jump will end with Wukong slamming his staff

into the ground, dealing damage and slowing enemies in the area of effect.

In his evasive stance,

In his evasive stance, Cloud Walker will

allow Wukong to walk on air after his double jump.

This mobility tool is great for navigating team fights

or traversing terrain.

Staff of Legend allows the Monkey King to extend his pole arm.

In the offensive stance, Staff of Legend deals

damage and knocks enemies to the length of the staff,

displacing your target. You can use it to push threats away,

or push enemies into bad situations.

In the evasive stance, Wukong will plant

his staff, and launch himself into the air with a directional jump.

While in his evasive stance, Wukong can be

very difficult to isolate.

And finally, your Ultimate is 84,000 Hairs.

Anytime the Monkey King strikes a minion,

hero, or structure, he will create a clone of himself.

This clone cannot move, and deals damage in a

radius around the clone, based on a percent of

Wukong's damage. 84,000 hairs allows

Wukong to very quickly cut through his enemies.

And when paired with Control Aggression,

Wukong can farm faster than anyone else.

When engaging enemies, be mindful of which stance you're in.

Your offensive stance will allow you to fight your

enemies, but offers no means of escape.

Your evasive stance will allow you to remain elusive,

but offers no means of damage.

Engage fights with precision

and patience. If you try

to take on too many enemies at once,

even your clones won't be able to save you.

Tear through your enemies as the legendary Monkey King,

WUKONG!

What is Christianity & What do Christians believe? | Christianity Defined | GotQuestions.org - Duration: 3:22.

Question: "What is Christianity and what do Christians believe?"

In this video, I'll answer those questions from a biblical perspective, and afterwards,

I'll point you to some helpful resources, so stick around until the end.

The core beliefs of Christianity are summarized in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

Jesus died for our sins, was buried, was resurrected, and thereby offers salvation to all who will

receive Him in faith.

Unique among all other faiths, Christianity is more about a relationship

than religious practices.

Instead of adhering to a list of "do's and don'ts," the goal of a Christian is

to cultivate a close walk with God.

That relationship is made possible because of the work of Jesus Christ and the ministry

of the Holy Spirit.

Beyond these core beliefs, there are many other items that are, or at least should be,

indicative of what Christianity is and what Christianity believes.

Christians believe that the Bible is the inspired, "God-breathed" Word of God and that its

teaching is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

Christians believe in one God that exists in three persons—the Father, the Son

(Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.

Christians believe that mankind was created specifically to have a relationship with God,

but sin separates all men from God.

Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ walked this earth, fully God, and yet fully man,

and died on the cross.

Christians believe that after His death, Christ was buried, He rose again, and now lives at

the right hand of the Father, making intercession for the believers forever.

Christianity proclaims that Jesus' death on the cross was sufficient to completely

pay the sin debt owed by all men and this is what restores the broken relationship between

God and man.

Christianity teaches that in order to be saved and be granted entrance into heaven after

death, one must place one's faith entirely in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

If we believe that Christ died in our place and paid the price of our own sins, and rose

again, then we are saved.

There is nothing that anyone can do to earn salvation.

We cannot be "good enough" to please God on our own, because we are all sinners.

There is nothing more to be done, because Christ has done all the work!

When He was on the cross, Jesus said, "It is finished", meaning that the work of redemption

was completed.

According to Christianity, salvation is freedom from the old sin nature and freedom to pursue

a right relationship with God.

Where we were once slaves to sin, we are now slaves to Christ.

As long as believers live on this earth in their sinful bodies, they will engage in a

constant struggle with sin.

However, Christians can have victory in the struggle with sin by studying and applying

God's Word in their lives and being controlled by the Holy Spirit—that is, submitting to

the Spirit's leading in everyday circumstances.

So, while many religious systems require that a person do or not do certain things, Christianity

is about believing that Christ died on the cross as payment for our own sins

and rose again.

Our sin debt is paid and we can have fellowship with God.

We can have victory over our sin nature and walk in fellowship and obedience with God.

That is true biblical Christianity.

O komunikacji miejskiej (2/2) - Między Przystankami - Duration: 29:52.

Hello! Today we are in Lodz,

here is with us Sebastian Grochala, MPK Lodz spokesman

we will talk about how it is like to be a public transport operator spokesman

and you'll learn more about communication and especially Lodz conditions.

Let's watch!

Let's say a few words about what is spokesman role

in such transit operator like MPK.

As the name implies, above all,

I'm contacting with media, of course it is press spokesman, but this name

covers also contact with not only press,

but all available nowadays media,

there is more and more of them,

because it covers also contact with vlogers,

blogers...

We've got all that social media...

Yes, there is very much of them,

so in shortcut, firstly media is one category, but second is contact

with outside world interested in partnership with us.

Social media are also in this category, so this is not only contact only with media representatives,

but very often contact directly with people using our services, directly with passengers.

What was the reason of chosing such job?

Did you choose it or it was coincidence?

How did that happen?

In my case it was partly that job choosed me, because

when I started work here,

I helped press spokesman, which were working here earlier, there was twice of them.

I helped them in their work, those were little things,

I rather was looking on their job and learning a lot, because I was just after studies.

Moreover I was looking after our website,

it was period when we were rebuilding it,

so I was included in that work

and then I started first Facebook profile: MPK-Łódź,

what I remember, what it was characteristic that time

there was a huge fanpage profile "I hate MPK"

and that was a place where people were discussing about public transport in Lodz,

I thought that it is wrong that operator did not have any fanpage,

so I started MPK fanpage

and from that profile I discussed with users,

which were criticising public transport operations and they were reporing theirs notices

and after several months of substantive discussions,

when they just saw that it is possible to discuss with me

and there is a person,

who replies to theirs questions,

those people, so at least it seems to me, I didn't follow that so much,

redirected to MPK fanpage

and from that moment that fanpage "I hate MPK" somewhere disappeared,

I think it is now working now.

So those were beginnings,

website,

help for spokesmans,

leading of fanpage,

later YouTube channel,

there were first film productions,

which were bringing closer operations of public transport,

later we launched, if I remember correctly,

Instagram profile,

Twitter profile,

all social media in which we could be

and last thing, which I'm doing is creating a vlog "Między Przystankami".

To thema of vlog we will come back,

but still I've got some more questions about spokesman work.

What such a person must face?

What are the challenges?

What is the hardest thing in such a job?

I think that he must face everything which is not predictible, because listen guys,

it is like that, every day is,

even if I planned everything, I've got meetings,

even today, when we largely spent together...

Yep, there were every moment phones on the line.

Yes, it looks like that I've got whole day planned,

but journalists got their needs,

they got questions, they know my phone number, so they call

and in every moment,

I try to aswer phones and I try,

most of all, give them information, as soon as possible.

Therefore,

a big challenge for such a person is to be opened for that,

I can't imagine did not trying to make good relationships with journalists,

I treat them like partners, as a people,

who need to know that they can count on me.

I also want to know that I can count on them,

when I got some topic, which

I want to infect them,

therefore, reach public opinion,

because there are situations, public transport is a branch,

where, we sometimes laugh this way,

that for journalist it is not hard to find topic here.

He only need to ride a tram or bus and instantly he will see situation,

about which he can make some article. Same with us,

we've got a lot of events daily,

so every one of them, every operation stopping, breakdown

or incident with passengers it potentially

topic, which can pop out in media.

So why did you take care about public transport at all?

Was there a passion?

How was this passion born?

I was always connected with public transport,

because I had always used MPK,

a lot changed in my mind in the meantime,

on this side, you must believe me,

many things looks differently than from passenger perspective,

but I got here by coincidence, because

I tried to be, maybe it is funny,

but to be "bike officer" in Lodz, when there was a contest for that,

but unfortunatly because of i.a. formal reasons,

I was too young,

haven't finished studies,

it was not possible,

but then there was a proposition that I can work here

and take care of transport topics.

Due to the fact that I'm Polish philologist after studies, so Polish language,

at least theoretically, I speak quite well,

I thought that is is interesting offer

and company such like MPK

gives undoubtedly large field for challenges,

I'm set on challenges, I like when a lot is happening,

I like to be in center of action,

but I also like to help others and on my job, on my task,

I look also that as press spokesman I must help,

from on side our employees, defencing them where it is needed

on second side, help passengers,

help journalist,

by giving them information about public transport operations or explaining them,

why some events happen,

beacuse often it is like that, here work specialists,

engineers, technical staff,

it is very specific language,

but my function and my role is to that

technical, branch language,

transfer on common language which would be understandable for passengers.

And surely also in some extent to connect those people with each other,

that they work in one goal and

it is made for people

and that people knew that it is made for them.

That is, in this way Niskopodlogowiec discovered one of the goals,

which I want to realize here,

indeed, it seems to me that it is very good

for MPK image, for employees image,

that passengers can see how difficult this work is

and how many components this work consists of and this is not like that

when on specific time on stop, tram or bus won't come,

so listen up, this is the least of the drivers wine,

because it is a whole range of dependencies,

which are influencing on that and among others

this is my job at leat try to reach

with information to passengers, it is also sometimes difficult,

because we cannot force anybody to read the information,

we constantly work on different information actions, educational,

but we have awareness that even if we

have contact with media and through them we want some information to propagate,

we still reach with it to some group of people which want to read it.

Some people stop on headline,

didn't penetrate what goes inside, very often

it is like that on Facebook, where we write about something

and in comment section we see that someone who is commenting, not even looked inside material,

did not use what we prepared.

Whereas, we cannot surrender,

I think this is a job

in which there is a lot of challenges,

I treat it like challenge

and here is hard to find monotony.

A lot is going on, I cannot predict

what will happen next day, every day is diffrent

and for all that reasons I really love that job.

Let's talk about way you move in Lodz.

I live in Warsaw, I mainly use public transport,

sometimes using also Veturilo city bike.

I also consider this a very cool solution,

allowing to, on short distance, in quick time to travel.

How does it look like in your case,

what do you mainly use when moving around Lodz.

I use 4 means of transporation, that I counted now,

most of all using public transport, as I said I use it

since always, I'm just used to that,

I see pluses of that.

I've got a car, so I'm also car driver.

I'm the user of city bike system,

so also if I had an opportunity I use it

and I'm the pedestrian.

I like to walk very much, really. It is not like that

that for me walking is something unpleasent, I remember that

to the highschool

in moment when I counted that riding public transport will take me,

let's say 10-15 minutes less than a walk,

I stated that if it was good weather, I always walked to school and from it.

As I say, I use public transport,

this is my main mean of transportation, but

there is no hiding that second is car

and here always.

Dynamically you changed topic on my next question, which I wanted to ask.

I smelled that question!

In topic of cars, I wanted

to ask you how do you think if it is possible

not to have a car in city or not using it

in area of the city

or there are some situations it is required,

or it is some life stage, when that car is also useful?

This is a bit like that it is a matter of our convenience

and we as people seek to have that comfort

and a car is surely element

- for one of prestige,

it's definitely in that point,

when we are on studies,

it seems to us that car is the most important thing

and it will help us a lot in life and solve many problems.

Whereas on stage on what I'm now,

I like to travel using public transport, because I like to read books

and it is serious argument, contrary to appearances,

it means if I again calculate that tram ride from home to work and back again takes me,

even if I interchange, because I got direct line,

but when I'm late I use interchange

it wil take me even 20 minutes daily more,

so if I calculate that I got 20 minutes daily more to read a book,

to me it is advantage,

because when I come back to house I know that during that day

I read something and I try to daily read,

It's my love.

Probably due to the fact

that I finished Polish philology and with books I was always on friendly terms.

So if you see me in public transport,

I'll probably be traveling with...

book in a hand...

But returning back to question about car.

In case of a car I use it especially during such days as today,

when I knew that we had to ride to Traffic Supervision Department,

to depot,

come back here.

You have to be in a few places, you must take camera and equipment,

which would be more convenient and more safely to take in car,

moreover, you were with me,

because there is even one more guy after the camera,

so it was even more briskly to travel by car and in that days,

if I know that in work, for example I got a lot things to do

- go to one office, to the depot,

somewhere else get some things done,

that's when I choose the car, becaue

it is quicker for me and more convenient,

when I would ride public transport it would take me a lot more time.

And yet I still have that feeling that

they pay me for doing as many things as it is possible.

From my perspective,

traveling by public transport

is time for observation of our environment.

No it is time, so it would be bright. If we ride by car we focus on driving the car.

We stand in traffic jam, so we stand.

Our point of view is more narrowed and in public transport we've got wide angle.

Eventually we focus that we've got music and something is on radio, wow and we can listen something.

Once there was such a billboard,

from car perspective you will see 3 colors (red, yellow, green)

and from bus windows the whole rainbow.

And I think that's pretty much right,

we much more see,

well my father drives a car,

practically all the time

and basically when I manage to take him somewhere

on the city and show him how Lodz is changing

he is very often surprised, because he just during car ride don't take care about it.

When we are riding public transport, we can not only

watch what is happening around,

read books,

listen to music,

we can scroll (AND READ!!! ;) ) social media,

what is also important, me in the moment of riding to work in the morning, already looking on Facebook.

You are already in the work!

Yes, I already know what is happening,

I'm looking on press, I know about what they are writing,

I know on the end of work I can also see some topics to be up to date, so

this is time that we can spent more effectively

than after steering wheel of the car,

but this is a case of approach,

I have rather such attitude that I don't want to impose someone

and persuade forcely that public transport is the best, although I'm spokesman in this company

and potentially it may seem

that I will say everyone that

for sure, choose only tram or bus.

I'm rather supporter if I had to name it,

somehow I would have to name it,

I would say about sustainable transport,

so that we would accordingly to our needs,

choose and combine with other

means of transportation and not only orienting on one that car is aways the best,

knowing that

in today time specially,

tendency is that everywhere in city centers

for example we got problems with parkings

and for that parking we lose another 10 minutes.

So it is better to take tram or bus, even if it will take 5 minutes longer

peacefully, without any nerves

without any stress we are on place

and public transport rides,

beyond all of this are also cheaper,

because I often find this argument

I'll talk you over here! but (I'm the boss here!)

I often find this argument

that using car is cheaper.

I do not think so, because often we cannot compare only

price of the ticket to benzine

or to thing on what we ride, gas, etc.

DJ Khaled Drops New Drake Collab 'To the Max' From 'Grateful' Album - Duration: 2:55.

Beija here for Complex News, and back in early April, DJ Khaled only had one question.

We're here to tell you today that the Drake vocals have indeed come in.

For a while, everything was indeed top secret, but after hitting number one with his smash

hits "Shining" and "I'm The One," it was time for Khaled to drop his long-awaited

single with Drizzy, "To the Max."

Take a listen.

From what many are saying, "To the Max" really captures the sound of Miami, which

is due in part to the sample that Khaled used in the track.

Do you guys remember the #GusGetEmChallenge from a few years ago?

It sounds like Gus and Chad's viral challenge is living on longer than many would have expected,

especially since Khaled used some throwback videos for a bit of IG promo.

Whatever you want to call it, "To the Max" has summer vibes written all over it, although

that seems to be the case whenever Khaled and Drake link up.

The two have had a string of bangers, which date back to 2009 with DJ Khaled's single

"Fed Up."

They linked up again in 2011 for the megasmash "I'm On One" from Khaled's 2011 album

We The Best Forever.

The duo were at it once again in 2013 for Suffering From Success' "No New Friends,"

and lit up the summer of 2016 with "For Free" from Khaled's Major Key album.

Speaking of albums, DJ Khaled also released the cover art for his tenth studio album,

Grateful, which is set to be released on June 23rd.

As of right now, there's no tracklist for Grateful available, but Khaled has posted

that everyone from Rihanna to Jadakiss have contributed vocals to the album, so Grateful

is set to be large.

Needless to say, when Khaled and Drake collaborate, beautiful things happen, and with "To the

Max," it feels like they could have another summer jam on their hands.

You rocking with this track, or nah?

Sound off in the comments.

Celebs You'd Be Surprised To Know Wear Wigs - Duration: 5:32.

Young stars like Kylie Jenner and Zendaya are taking over the trend of wearing wigs

— not to hide bald spots or damaged hair, but to debut innovative and disposable looks.

Using faux hair as self-expression has become the mark of a bold and edgy take on personal

style.

Here are some celebrities who love to push fashion boundaries, all with the help of wigs.

Kylie Jenner

Perhaps no one is more daring and bold with wigs than makeup mogul and social influencer,

Kylie Jenner.

She kicks off this list for her innovative use of mock mop tops.

She's featured various trends — short bobs, high ponytails, and cornrows to name a few.

Not one to shy away from color, Jenner has also been photographed wearing neon green,

teal, and fuschia wigs.

Jenner apparently discovered her wig inspiration on Instagram.

Her hair stylist, Tokyo Stylez, told Allure, "Kylie reached out to me because she'd seen

my work on Instagram, and she started to send me pictures of looks that she wanted to re-create."

With her experimental approach and tendency to switch up styles, Jenner keeps her fans

anxiously wondering what her hair will look like next on the red carpet.

Kim Kardashian West

Kylie's iconic older sister, Kim Kardashian West has also experimented with wigs, borrowing

Kylie's wig man, Tokyo Stylez.

For husband Kanye West's fashion show in February of 2016, Kardashian West arrived sporting

long, blonde locks.

Kardashian West later admitted in a post on her website that she was actually wearing

a wig.

"I brought the platinum back!

I looooveeee being a blonde, and this time I can change it up if I want, because — thanks

to Tokyo Stylez — it's just a wig!"

With so much of their lives spent in the public eye, it is no wonder that the Kardashian/Jenner

clan use wigs to change up their looks as often as inspired.

Nicki Minaj

This unapologetic artist started her career wearing elaborate, candy-colored wigs.

Her colorful looks helped introduce her as a confident, new artist, helping her pave

a path through the music industry.

As her career has evolved, so has her style.

In 2017, she has been photographed in more subtle looks.

She even has started showcasing her natural hair, but wigs are still in rotation.

Minaj's hairstylist, Oscar James, spoke to Cosmopolitan about her more refined look,

"She wanted a more toned-down look and I think that's why she reached out [to Tyra Banks].

So, I created that wavy, super-blonde hair with dark roots — the wig.

I created that to take her in a little more natural direction, but still bold because

she's always been known for a little edge."

Minaj is a great example of a celebrity who can rock an outrageous, multi-color wig one

day and a softer, more natural wig the next.

Dolly Parton

Let's remember, the wig trend is not necessarily a new idea.

Iconic singer Dolly Parton revealed that her signature blonde look is, in fact, a wig.

She started using wigs after experiencing hair damage from dyeing and teasing her natural

hair.

Looking to simplify her process, she turned to wigs.

As Parton told the Hallmark Channel in 2016: "I used to try to keep my own hair teased

as big as I like it, and having the bleach and all of that, it just broke off."

"I thought 'Why am I going through all that?

Why not just wear wigs?

That way, I never have a bad hair day!

I have a big hair day, but not a bad hair day."

Younger stars cycle through various styles, but Parton has kept to her signature hairdo.

She chooses between three different wigs, depending on the volume she wants to achieve

with her hair.

Lady Gaga

"Mother Monster," as her fans call her, never shies away from controversial looks, perhaps

most famously, her dress made entirely of meat.

While it's not exactly shocking that she would use wigs as accessories, what is surprising

is the reason behind it.

For Gaga, wigs have provided her with a sense of security, particularly when going through

difficult times.

In 2014, Gaga admitted during a performance at the iTunes Festival that she had experienced

"some really tough times" and she explained to her fans that she has used "wigs and make-up

to cover up the pain."

In a demonstration of triumphant liberation, Gaga took off her wig on stage to reveal her

natural hair underneath, shocking fans.

Keke Palmer

Actress and singer Keke Palmer is a serial wig user, changing up her hairstyle as frequently

as multiple times in a week.

For Palmer, wigs represent a way to feature her outgoing personality.

She told People in 2016, "...to me, changing my hairstyle helps me represent [a] bold attitude...I

just love not being afraid to be me."

She tells her fans to try wigs, stressing that they are risk free.

She said, "Try a wig.

It's not your hair and it's easy to fix!"

Zendaya

From a short pixie do, slicked back hair, and a bowl cut bob, Zendaya has walked the

She decided to share her secret with fans, posting a video on Instagram:

"So many people get stressed out every time I wear a different hairstyle on the red carpet,

it's called a wig people, OK?

Wigs off the red carpet?

Since faux hair is quite the rage among celebrities, it seems that wigs are here to stay on the

red carpet, allowing celebrities to experiment with new looks without the major investment

of a cut or color.

As celebrities are often on the forefront of trends, we might see wigs move from the

Andre Ward Greatest Hits (HBO Boxing) - Duration: 3:34.

JIM LAMPLEY: From his gold medal win as an American Olympian,

to his dominance at the super middleweight division

as a professional,

Andre Ward has staked his claim

as one of the top fighters in boxing.

His next date, June 17th, is the rematch with Sergey Kovalev

in a fight for the identity of best light heavyweight in boxing.

Let's take a look at Andre Ward's greatest hits.

JIM LAMPLEY: Andre Ward is mentally relentless.

He sees his advantages and he presses them constantly.

There's a left hook for Ward that gets the attention of the crowd.

Straight right hand from Ward, crowd likes that as well.

Oh, a left hand lands for Ward, and he knocks Molina

back into the ropes with that one.

Left hook upstairs by Ward!

That's the money punch for Andre Ward.

Quick left hook inside by Andre Ward!

Dawson's knee goes to the canvas.

And he lands a left and a right there,

and Molina shows the damage.

(CROWD CHEERING)

LAMPLEY: Big left hook for Ward.

Best punch so far for Andre Ward.

There's a huge left hand by Ward,

and he knocks him down with a quick left hook.

Andre Ward is so quick on the trigger with his left hook.

And it's another knockdown for Ward!

And there's a solid left hand to the jaw of Brand.

Ward landing when he wants to, where he wants to.

(CROWD CHEERING)

LAMPLEY: Good body shot with the left,

and he lands the left hook upstairs.

Oh, another solid left hook by Andre Ward.

These are hard, thudding body punches.

Ward believes he's got him hurt.

Dawson's trying to hold on.

And here comes Ward setting up his left hook again!

And again!

Dawson almost went down again.

Straight right hand and left hook, both landing.

Another left hook lands for Ward.

-ROY JONES: Oh, good shot. -LAMPLEY: It's tremendous.

And Ward's accuracy has been amazing.

Seems to be able to land at will.

Just like that.

Good quick jab by Ward.

Tries to follow it up with the right hand.

Another good shot by Ward.

And halfway through,

he's certainly winning this round.

For a guy who's not a big knockout puncher,

he knows how to go for the finish.

Big left hook by Ward!

And now the one-two lands perfectly.

MAX KELLERMAN: Oh, good left hook on the inside.

LAMPLEY: Ward thoroughly in control of the fight up to this point.

JONES: Great body shot by Ward. That hurt something.

LAMPLEY: Really hard body shot by Andre Ward

with the left hand.

JONES: Andre switching to southpaw,

throwing in a left hook.

LAMPLEY: He'll beat you up, and he'll take your heart.

That was another tremendous combination by Ward.

Oh, huge left hook by Ward!

KELLERMAN: Rodriguez is ready to go.

LAMPLEY: There's another brutal left hook.

Uppercuts by Ward now...

jolting Dawson.

Clean straight right hand by Ward,

snapped Dawson's head back again.

Ward just racked Dawson again with another left hook,

and Dawson's legs are gone,

and there's the third knockdown of the fight!

The left hand remains

one of the most dangerous hands in boxing.

It's very hard to disrupt the rhythm

of a truly great fighter,

and Andre Ward is showing once again tonight

that he's a truly great fighter.

LAMPLEY: Don't miss Andre Ward versus Sergey Kovalev, the rematch.

[ Bell dings ]

The bell and round 1.

The southpaw champion Dejan Zlaticanin

in the red with gold.

The challenger, Mikey Garcia, in the black-and-green.

Bernstein: And these two men are opposite in early rounds.

Zlaticanin is what his manager calls "a guided missile."

He starts quick.

He knocked down Ricky Burns very early in the first round.

Mikey Garcia, on the other hand,

very cautious, wants to feel things out.

Malignaggi: And you never know.

You know, Garcia didn't get a lot of rounds

in his first time out in a couple of years,

so maybe Zlaticanin trying to get his --

welcome him to big time really fast, so to speak.

And Zlaticanin has Garcia on the ropes early.

Garcia, though, coming back

with a powerful right hand through the guard.

Zlaticanin's majority of knockouts

have come in the first five rounds.

He really does love to run through his opponents,

like foreign water through tourists.

[ Laughs ]

One thing about Garcia --

he's got terrific balance, terrific fundamentals.

So even sometimes on the ropes,

he's got his hands positioned very well,

his feet positioned very well.

One of his specialties is that.

You think about Garcia and his power,

but he's a very solid fundamental boxer,

very well schooled. And, Al, already Garcia

trying to keep Zlaticanin at bay with the jab.

Yeah, he wants to control the distance.

And told us, you know --

There's a counter jab. Yeah.

People talk about the right hand against a lefty,

but the jab will work if you use it and can --

or con-- you know, committed to it.

Yeah, and that was a nice counter jab he landed

as you were saying that, Al.

Coming up on the midpoint of the opening round.

Garcia trying to establish the jab.

There's that winging, catapult-like left hand

of Zlaticanin.

Zlaticanin wants to get his attention early.

He's trying to land something big

to give Mikey something to think about.

And because of the physical advantages

that Garcia does enjoy,

Zlaticanin does have to get on the inside,

use his short arms.

He's been dangerous with uppercuts on the inside.

But thus far in the opening round,

Garcia doing a good job.

And even though Garcia hasn't faced a lefty

since 2013 -- Juan Manuel Lopez --

he doesn't believe he has any problems with them.

And, so far, he's boxing very well here

in round number 1.

Final minute of the opening round.

Mikey varying well.

Even though he's such a big puncher,

not every shot he's throwing is hard.

You can see a lot of these are touches,

looking to set up.

Keeping his balance,

keeping Zlaticanin off balance,

and eventually trying to set up some of those power shots.

Zlaticanin has been a lightweight his entire career.

Of course, Mikey Garcia, a two-division champion

at featherweight and junior lightweight --

now looking to become a champion at 135.

Good jab.

And Garcia scoring again with the jab

and countering effectively.

He's basically taking what Dejan is giving him.

So a good start for the challenger Mikey Garcia

here in Sin City.

[ Bell dings ] Time!

♪♪

We will take a look at the Keys to Victory

for these two men.

First, for Dejan's Zlaticanin,

he wants to put Mikey Garcia on the ropes,

has not been able to do that so far in this fight.

He's also not put combinations together in this fight.

When he's at his best,

he's throwing punches to the body and the head

and throwing a lot of punches.

Didn't do that in the first round.

We did see him try the left hand

several times in that first round.

That's his big knockout punch.

He's got to try and get it.

And for Mikey Garcia --

Countering effectively --

He did that very well in the first round.

He tried the uppercut and it worked,

and he's got to stay off those ropes,

and he did that very well in round number 1.

[ Bell dings ]

Ranallo: The bell and round number 2.

Zlaticanin told us

that he feels Garcia has good timing and power,

especially with the right hand,

but he doesn't think he's very flexible in the ring.

What does he mean by "flexible," Paulie?

Malignaggi: Well, I think he's just saying, probably,

"not a lot of versatility."

You know, Garcia's not an athletic kind of a boxer.

He's more well-schooled, fundamental,

relies on great positioning with his hands and his feet.

He's not gonna give you any shoulder,

Mayweather type of shoulder rolls

or those kind of looks.

But what he specializes in

is a little bit of a different style,

but it works nonetheless.

In my opinion, Zlaticanin's gonna have to show

a little bit of flexibility here

and show a little bit of versatility --

maybe using some feints --

because right now, he's just trying to

rush his way in with big shots,

and he's not able to land them.

His manager said that they've been working on

attacking from angles.

He hasn't been doing that in this fight.

Right uppercut on the inside by Garcia.

And then pivots away to the center of the ring.

And Garcia now beginning to showcase some of his power.

Yeah, and you see how he shifts away so well?

There's a nice counter from Zlaticanin.

Good counter left hand from Zlaticanin.

Garcia's been down twice in his career --

once from a left hand from a lefty back in 2008 --

Walter Estrada.

Of course, he won that fight. He's undefeated.

But he was knocked down by a left hand by lefty,

so Zlaticanin hopes he can repeat that.

A lot of times in these righty versus lefty matchups,

some of the knockdowns happen with feet tangling, as well,

so we got to look into that.

Oh, good left hook to the body by Garcia.

And a nice one-two through the guard.

And, again, the reason Garcia's

able transfer his weight so well on these power shots

is, again, that great balance that he has.

Zlaticanin has never been on the canvas,

as we pass the midpoint of round number 2.

An electric atmosphere here in Las Vegas

for this much-anticipated championship doubleheader

on Showtime Championship Boxing.

A moment ago,

the first right hook of the fight by Zlaticanin,

which at least represents something different,

as Paulie was pointing out.

The uppercut -- I said it in the Keys.

I think it's gonna be a big power punch.

Garcia's trying it on several occasions.

And he scores with the lead left hook as well,

as Zlaticanin unable to cover the distance.

And Garcia off to a great start.

And usually it takes him a few rounds

to get his motor running.

Not the case here tonight.

No, and Zlaticanin does give him that uppercut, Al.

That's a good observation.

And a lot of times, he's even lunging forward

and getting on the front foot

and bending at the waist.

That right uppercut could be there for Mikey

if he starts to see it.

Zlaticanin's almost looking to me

like one of those old-time fighters

where he just kind of covers up in a crab

and looks to walk you down.

But he's got to show a little bit more versatility.

Mikey's just not gonna give him the distance he wants.

Oh, good footwork exhibited by Garcia, as well,

able to pivot as Zlaticanin threatens to close the distance.

Lead left hand by Zlaticanin,

right hook to the body.

But again, that counter chopping right hand

just grazing the chin of Zlaticanin.

We are through two

scheduled for 12 for the WBC lightweight championship.

[ Bell dings ] Time!

♪♪

Two impressive rounds for Mikey Garcia.

And Zlaticanin was thought of as the body puncher,

but here is Garcia landing.

And part of that is because

Zlaticanin keeps his guard so high,

he kind of gives you the body.

And Mikey Garcia,

who has a very good left hook down there,

will go there.

Some bravado from Zlaticanin,

but that was a good scoring blow.

And, again, the jab and the straight right hand.

You know, Garcia has used the jab

so effectively against Zlaticanin

early in this fight.

[ Speaking Spanish ]

Interpreter: Keep hammering.

The first two rounds are yours.

Just keep going -- the same way you're doing it.

Breathe.

[ Speaking Spanish ]

All right, the next time, Dad,

bring me to wipe off the gloves.

[ Bell dings ]

Ranallo: Round number 3 under way.

Dejan Zlaticanin told us

he dreamed of becoming WBC champion

from the first time he entered a boxing gym

at the age of 13.

His dream came true when he stopped

short-notice replacement Franklin Mamani

via third-round T.K.O. last year

to become the first native of Montenegro

to become champion.

Weeks: Hands free.

No holding.

Bernstein: You know, Garcia has thrown...

has thrown 95 jabs in this fight already.

That's over -- way over --

that's over 40 a round in the first two.

I mean, he is throwing a lot of jabs.

Malignaggi: Especially against a lefty.

That's very rare. Right.

But he warned us he was gonna do that.

Yep, that's been working.

Another solid one-two that scores for Garcia,

able to snipe that jab

in between the guard of Zlaticanin.

What the jab is also doing,

is it's preventing Zlaticanin from setting up any offense.

You look at Zlaticanin,

and you're probably asking yourself,

"why isn't he doing anything? He's losing."

Well, he can't find his range.

One thing, he's not being creative himself.

He's just trying to walk his way in,

and that's just not gonna happen

against a good fighter like Mikey.

You're gonna have to get creative and feint your way in

But also, secondly,

Mikey's keeping him off-balance with the jab

and changing the distance and range.

And that's the most fundamental weapon

in the sport, Al,

and a big edge for Garcia.

Yeah, we've referenced it and you saw it there.

He's just using that punch so effectively.

It's also setting up the big right hands.

If you can't find your range,

you're not gonna be able to throw.

It's like, if somebody's standing

on the other side of the ring from you --

Sweeping right hand

and then a left hook to the liver by Garcia,

who's really diversifying his attack,

keeping Zlaticanin befuddled.

And as you mentioned, Paulie,

Zlaticanin unable to get anything going

because of that jab.

And he's gonna have to find ways to be creative.

They're gonna have to tell him in the corner,

'cause right now, he's on this one-track mind

where he just feels like he's got to walk Mikey down

and maybe wear him out.

But it's not gonna happen. He's gonna have to be creative.

Maybe the corner can help out.

Again, I keep saying, "feint."

Feinting is one of the ways you can maybe, you know,

trip up Mikey's rhythm a little bit.

Al, with 45 seconds left in the third round,

one of the -- oh, nice right uppercut.

And Zlaticanin goes down... He's out.

...for the first time in his career.

And Mikey Garcia has become a three-division champion!

[ Crowd cheering ]

And immediate concern for Dejan Zlaticanin.

Yeesh.

[ Crowd cheering ]

Ranallo: Medical attention obviously being administered

to Dejan Zlaticanin.

An inherent danger of the sport, but --

well, there's a round of applause at ringside,

and this is a great picture.

[ Crowd cheers ]

Very good news to see Dejan Zlaticanin

about to get back up to his feet.

And it just speaks to the power of Mikey Garcia, Paulie.

Yeah, yeah.

I mean, we already knew he had all that power,

but again, I can't stress enough

the fundamentals Mikey has

is what really makes him dangerous.

He sets that up so well.

[ Cheers and applause ]

And the crowd here at MGM Grand,

as well as the Garcia family,

paying their respects to Dejan Zlaticanin.

Well, it was...

And Mikey Garcia, of course, was concerned about him,

and Robert Garcia, his trainer and brother,

going over to cut the gloves off,

showing sportsmanship with Zlaticanin.

You can see Mikey Garcia.

You could just feel the fact that he's so grateful

that things are turning out a little better here. Yeah.

And it is rare that you will see someone go over,

as Robert Garcia is, to do that.

But, uh... An ex-fighter.

An ex-fighter, and it's indicative

of their approach to boxing, the Garcia family.

And there's an embrace after the fight.

It's good to see this, man.

Mikey Garcia repeatedly thanking Dejan Zlaticanin

for the opportunity.

And as we look at this, a reminder that Zlaticanin

had never even been hurt in a fight,

let alone knocked down.

Now, I talked in the Keys to Victory

about the uppercut.

It, in fact, turned out to be

the most important weapon.

He hurt Zlaticanin with it,

and then came back with a big right hand.

And watch how Mikey's able to turn the corner

as he's throwing the uppercut

so that he sets up Zlaticanin.

Look, he's gonna hit Zlaticanin with this uppercut.

And that's obviously what's gonna hurt him.

Here it is right here. It's gonna hurt him.

As Zlaticanin is hurt,

he's looking for something to hold on to.

He's gonna look for Mikey to hold on to.

But Mikey side-steps.

Now Zlaticanin is wobbly and in no-man's land.

He can't even protect himself.

And look -- and there's the big shot

that ends the fight.

So, again, Mikey's proper balance

is what's able to really make him make that side-step move,

and keep enough balance to throw yet another power shot.

And, Al, not to take anything away

from the Zlaticanin camp,

but it was a guided missile

that put Zlaticanin down from Garcia.

It was, and, you know,

as you look at this in slow motion,

you might think to yourself, again, the uppercut,

which we thought might be a big weapon, and it was,

even though it's in slow motion,

there's no way Tony Weeks can get in here quick enough

or know that Zlaticanin is in enough trouble

to stop the fight.

And that right hand, of course, was dramatic.

The side-step was everything right there,

because if Mikey doesn't make that side-step,

Zlaticanin might be able to cause a clinch,

cause a hold, cause something.

He may still be hurt and he may still get knocked out,

but the side-step puts Zlaticanin in the ultimate danger

because he remains standing upright and wobbly.

One more look at it -- The uppercut, a huge weapon.

We talked about how Zlaticanin bent in a lot.

That's why I put it in the Keys.

I thought it's very possible that punch is gonna work.

It did.

And then the right hand by Garcia.

So Mikey Garcia,

with all his technical prowess and all the rest,

at 135 is quite a puncher.

He improves to 36-0,

recording the 30th knockout victory

of his illustrious career.

And let's make it official with Jimmy Lennon Jr.

[ Bell dings ]

Lennon: Ladies and gentlemen,
