Dissociation from your competition. That's an interesting subject. How can I dissociate myself from the competitors? People often ask this question from us.
It comes from a situation where there's too many of us, demand hasn't risen but the availability has. How can you stand out?
First advice is to be there when people are asking. Stop thinking that people will know you and seek you once they need you. They'll find you, but the number of those people is diminishing every day.
Somewhere there's a magnet that is pulling all that attention and is taking it all. There's less that you can do.
It's very easy to stand out from the competition. You may have a great brand and you may be recognized, but if you're there where your customers are with a right content and answering the right questions at the right time, at the right place,
You'll start to stand out. You can catch that demand. Your dissociation will come form a customer experience that you can provide by giving your customer help when they need it the most.
They don't need you but a solution to their own life. Can you help them? Are you easily approachable and are you there for them and do you respect them? If you don't someone else will.
All those people who are looking for quick fixes are going to suffer. Remember I said this. Those who are looking for quick fixes are going to end up in a situation where they are forced to seek for the deal quickly.
When we compare and we're smarter and we know we no longer need that quick fix anymore. You might make it once, but in the long haul those who serve more are going to stand out.
Those who create a positive feeling and can lift the customer up with their own processes and doing, they're winning in a situation where the competition is increasing, but the demand is stabile.
No matter what you're doing. Even if you'd be selling sneakers. If your sneakers don't stand out some way they're just cheap sneakers.
Nike sells dreams, not just sneakers.
