Waching daily Oct 17 2017

Today we're going to be looking at the Feiyu Tech MG V2 electronic gimbal.

It gives you a solution of getting stabilised shots, at a price point that

isn't too expensive in comparison to other solutions. Now electronic gimbals

have been around, for you know, quite a few years, and there has been at a big

surge in the uptake in them recently, because one, they're not too expensive

and two, the type of shots that you can get with them are pretty impressive.

Now I'm not saying that these are ever going to replace Steadicams

or other traditional solutions, because they give a very different type of feel to the

motion that you create with them. But for portability, costs, and ease of setup they

definitely have a place in a filmmakers kit bag. So first let's see what you

actually get in the box with a Feiyu Tech MG V2. First things first is the

box itself, as you can see it comes in a Peli style carry case with a dual

locking mechanism and breathable valve, and on the inside it's all nicely foam cut.

We've got the top part of the gimbal,

lower part that houses the batteries, of which you get four that are charged by

this little USB charger, and we've also got the adapter for operating it in a

two handed mode that allows attaching the two crossbars and two handles.

So balancing, let's go backwards and look at how we set this camera up on the gimbal, and

it's relatively straightforward once you've already done it once.

You simply attach the camera to the sliding base plate, and then the base plate to the

gimbal making sure that the side of the camera is flush against the motor arm.

Once it's on there you'll finally want to adjust the camera forwards or

backwards so it's close to being level on the axis when left alone.

Even though the gimbal will automatically balance itself, it is best to do a rough natural

balance before powering up, just to make its life a little easier.

Each of the three axis has a tool-less adjuster, and you'll want to try and align each of the

axis so that the centre of gravity is aligned with its corresponding motor.

Once it's all aligned we're good to power it on by pressing the one button

on the handle. What's nice about the MG V2, is that straight out of the box you

have everything you need to rig it up in multiple ways. You can keep it minimal

and just have it rigged for one-hand operation, or if you need to get low profile shots

you can simply power it off, flip it upside down, power it back

on again, and hey presto you're now operating in an inverted mode. Which

allows you to get much closer to the ground. With the adapter, the extension

bars, and handlebars you can have it rigged up and operated in a two handed mode,

all making for a really flexible gimbal system

So the MG V2 has a max payload capacity around 1600 grams. Let's put that into a

bit of context, this Sony A7s MK2, with this 28mm lens on the front is

roughly 900 grams, so there's plenty of room there to spare. Now I did try this

with the 24-70mm f/2.8 Sony G master lens, which I don't know if you've used

it before, it's quite a big and heavy lens, and although it was still under the

maximum payload capacity - it was kind of struggling with that extra weight.

So in my brief time using this gimbal, I'd recommend operating it as lightly as you

possibly can, just to make its life a bit easier. Now as soon as you press that

button it is very clear that this thing is now sort of self balancing itself, and

you can see that quite clearly here now. One thing I would say though, is when I

first set this up I was getting quite a bit of vibrating noise when I was going

too far forward or too far backwards. The same side to side. I YouTubed it, and I

saw a lot of other people I had this problem as well, and it's actually just due

to not setting it up properly in the first place. So I would just stress that

to overcome that problem you do need to make sure that the side of the camera is

flush against this motor here, and also on the front underneath there's a small

thumb screw that needs to be applying pressure to the lens. Once you've done

those two things, no vibrations, and it is good to go. So once you powered it you've

basically got a choice of four different operating modes, and you can select them

by tapping on the one single function button on the handle. When you first

power it on it will be in its default operating mode, which is the pan mode.

So as I turn the handle left and right, you can see that the camera then

follows me in a nice smooth fashion. The next one, if you tap it one more time

the light will go blue, and we're in locked mode. The camera will then

keep its point of interest locked, no panning, no tilting, hence the name.

Then if you want to do the pan and tilt mode, you double tap it and you can see

now as I move it back and forward we're also getting the tilt axis in action so

both pan and tilt are there. The final one for you fancy bloggers, if you triple

tap it, the camera will flip itself round and then we've got a very fancy,

stabilized, vlogging set up. If at any point you want to take control of the

pan and tilt manually, you do have a four-way joystick just above the

function button where you can override it. So one of the

downsides that a lot of people say about operating a single handed gimbal,

is that it can be quite tiring for one arm to take that weight for a long

period of time. So the actual gimbal itself weighs about 900 grams, and again

to put that into context for you guys, the A7s with this lens roughly weighs about

the same. So in terms of weight, I find it quite comfortable, it's roughly like having

two A7s' with a 28mm prime lens on the end, and I think it's quite comfortable

Now I've used this gimbal on a few different shoots and I really like

its portability. I mean the fact that you can dismantle it fits into a camera bag,

you can carry it around a different shoots even if you're not sure if you're

going to use it. It can be set up within a few minutes once you've already

set it up the one time, so you know how. With this battery life, I mean you get

four batteries, and that gives you a total of up to 12 hours of run time,

which is for me, more than enough for a full day of filmmaking.

Ironman Hawaii 2017 World Championship Day 8: Favourite Moments - Duration: 8:00.

- Favorite things from all of us from the week.

(upbeat music)

And I was injured.

Morning, Trainiacs, so it is the day after, we're talking

nine hours past Iron Man Hawaii 2017 being over,

and you're falling down, you're tired, too,

so almost all that's left now of the official event

for the week is to edit said blog.

You know, I do that as if I'm doing that,

actually Mel's doing it, right ....

There, and basically the entire island shuts down.

As busy and as crazy as it is throughout

the rest of the week with companies and tents

and events and parties and athletes training,

basically as soon as it's over,

it all starts getting broken down.

I'll take you down to the finish line

and show you actually how barren it is later today.

It was a really fantastic day yesterday.

If you haven't seen the video,

A, stop what you're doing right now and check it out.

Up there, the race video that we did,

and you know what, to be perfectly honest with you,

yesterday was a fun, emotional day,

on my end, particularly at the finish line

when Patrick Lang crossed that line

breaking the course record and I was in behind

the finish line on the media stage,

I got a little teary, not because of the event,

but because I was able to come here as media

and it's not like, "Oh, I got to come here as media.",

but it was emotional because, two years ago,

two years ago coming to a place like this

was something that I would do off on the side of real life.

That was like real life was the corporate career

and finance and wearing a suit and I wasn't happy with it,

but now real life is also what I love

and while, I don't directly get paid to come here,

this is all part of real life and I owe it all to you

for tuning in and watching everyday.

Oh, and by the way, watch all the skippable ads,

if you don't, you should, thank you.

So, I got emotional that over the course of two years

I've gone from putting on a suit and drudging into work

to putting on real lack of shirts

and riding a beach cruiser bike down to the finish line

of the greatest race in the world and having a party

with 2,000 triathletes and thank you all very much

for watching and allowing that to actually be a thing.

Alright, more fun things, favorite things

from all of us from the week.

My favorite, hands down, the finish line

in the last 45 minutes to an hour before the 17 hour cutoff.

That, to me, is the real test of why people do Iron Man.

In my opinion, those age groupers

that are pushing themselves to the absolute physical limit

to find out what they're capable of,

that's what this sport is about.

So, MTK is about to leave.

Bye, bye.

- Bye.

- What was your favorite part of the week?

- It's a tie between acai bowls

and the finish line last night.

- Mmm, I said finish line last night, too.

- It's pretty cool.

(upbeat music)

- You know, normally I hate feelings,

but in this case, I'm actually kinda sad

that basically all of our work is like

work, work, work, work, work, work, work,

ends and then she's gotta go,

we can't chill out for a couple of days.

(upbeat music)

- Mel?

- Yes?

- What's your favorite part of Iron Man Hawaii?

- Oh, are we doing highs and lows?

- Well, no.

- Just highs?

- Yeah, there are no lows.

- Uh.

- Actually, we'll bring in Jay for the lows.

- We'll bring in Jay for the lows.

He's had all the lows. (laughter)

- Yeah, A, can't get to Kona, B, hurt foot.

- Broke his toe.

- So, yeah, C, fattest man on the island.

(laughter)

- Honestly, the end, being right front row

for all of them running down the chute was really cool,

even though it's like, I mean, I'm basically forced

to be a triathlon fan at this point.

- Mhmm, you certainly are.

- It wasn't a life choice, it was a career choice.

(laughter)

- You need to work on your choices.

And you have new favorite triathletes.

- I do, Heather Jackson, I'm a big fan.

- She's cute.

- Oh, and poke nachos, that was a high, too.

- Mmm, poke nachos.

Alright, go take this to the unfortunate character

inside and ask him his favorite part.

(laughter) - What was your favorite part?

- Uh, besides sitting by the pool and the hot tub?

The whole atmosphere of everything,

it's very, very electric, very,

it makes you wanna get involved,

it makes you wanna do it.

- Oh, bullshit.

(laughter)

- Yeah, I was cheering for Lionel Sanders, for sure

and watching the guy who won was quite impressive,

'cause he was so far back and I didn't

think he could keep up that pace and I actually got excited

and watched the whole thing and went outside and ...

- Yeah, you were watching the live feed.

- Yeah.

- And saw it.

- And I was injured.

(upbeat music)

- This whole area here right over my right shoulder

was all tents as of about nine hours ago, not anymore.

Starting right here was the finish chute

with about 5,000 people lining the streets

and the shops on the side, nothing but a barrier here

so that the Iron Man crew can clean up

the last little bit of the setup.

(upbeat music)

And out here on the swim course,

all the rope markers, the swim buoys,

the kayaks, the paddlers that took care

of all the swimmers out there, nothing.

(upbeat music)

This barren wasteland back here

that used to be transition one and two,

doesn't look nearly as magical right now.

Well, alrighty-roo, Trainiacs, we got the video up,

20 minute epic saga of Iron Man Kona 2017.

That video there might be the proudest thing

that we've put out on the channel.

I mean, Mel made it, but I stayed out

of her way today successfully.

One more day left tomorrow and then out.

I got some fun stuff in mind for tomorrow,

so if you're new, make sure you subscribe.

Fun ain't over.

I gotta go find the closest restaurant possible,

'cause it is raining outside.

Later.

Coups de poing en YI QUAN avec Michel Tournerie 意拳 - Duration: 6:01.

hello everyone today we will talk punches in the Yi Quan

The Yi Quan to that particular it is a style of kung fu or there is very little

kicking. On the other hand, the specificity is the punches

which are given in a slightly special.

So that's what we're going to see today.

In Yi Quan, the punches have that of specific that very little use is made

piston arm and triceps work as in many traditional martial arts.

What will give the force in the punch in Yi Quan is the

role that size plays so it goes be very important to do

to work this size and in particular to to acquire flexibility and amplitude

on this rotational movement. That's what we're going to see now.

First we have a first work pre parallel feet the lower body is

exactly like when you're in a posture and you just hit the front

at the level of his own nose trying to stretch his shoulder to open to the maximum.

Here, our point here in the hollow in the corner of the eye and face

we will chain the punches like that very slowly

it is very important to make a slow work at the beginning always the same

in sensations to correct themselves too to feel well or do we have

defaults. Once I get to the end of it

I will check my shoulder is a bit too high hop I correct.

Let's go: 1 2 3

At the beginning we can work continuously then we will make sequences of three punches

to give a little bit more rhythm.

Important points in this exercise there, keep the hips fixed

it is the size that turns it is not the hips that turn.

The knees are fixed. The hips are fixed.

This is why it is useful to remember the recommendations we saw in Zhan Zhuang video.

Namely, keep your knees tight, feet not too far apart and the pelvis well in retroversion.

This will make it possible to the bottom all that is below the

size does not move and your strength will the greater the lower the body will be fixed.

And it's the size that goes do the rotation that will do all the work.

Then the movement can go a little faster.

Again, before going fast think slow work and especially I will look for the extension also to the maximum.

Here I open the shoulder to the maximum.

A bit like I wanted to project my elbow forward. No matter what happens below

I think especially my elbow is my shoulder. Here.

And my hips that do not move even if when I do it quickly you have the impression that you do

quickly as my hips move. They move a little bit because

it is the hips that go generated movement and projected the fist.

So once we have work parallel feet

that's also part of the traditional progression in Yi Quan,

we are going to pass in position of combat so here a foot of difference between the two feet is

always the landmark. We go lower slightly on the legs

but not too much otherwise it becomes annoying and especially in order to be able to

tilt the pelvis. One more time, the stretch of the column

vertebral is paramount. We go do the same work as before.

Always trying to keep the bottom fixed. Fix the knees so there with one foot forward

necessarily on the back fist is where the action will take place

to go far and it is the that will work the work of the size

whose flexibility must be developed.

Little trick that can help you, when you do this job do not imagine

that you strike something very hard you put a lot of strength

always seek the release of image that is often given by

the masters in China is that the hand is closed as if holding a bird.

It should not be allowed to fly, without crushing it, so the point is closed but

in this way does not serve the otherwise it can generate

contraction in your arm motion will slow you will lose

of the amplitude. On the contrary, is seeking to release

this shoulder and fetch away, okay. So once you have

acquired this parallel feet work and in combat position you can

add the work of displacement, the work around a cornerstone,

or pole like we do here because you do not really have a bag where you can

turn around. You can add all the work of

move once you have acquired static work.

First, the important as always Yi Quan is to go there gradually

do not try to burn the steps and to acquire by slow labor

movements so as to make them correctly

I hope this video has pleased you if so click and find us

on IMAGINARTS for others martial arts videos

See you soon.

China custom unit banknotes 1930 - Duration: 4:51.

hello people here going today just gloom from goo muddy coins and banknotes and

today I'm gonna show you these Chinese custom notes as you can see I have three

of them they are pretty big banknotes and these were used as a custom

certificates on the front you have our Sun yat-sen was the first president or

maybe second president of China and these banknotes server

no security feature and he in their security fred or watermark but they do

have these blue dots on it and yeah this side is basically in chinese he has five

month or five dollars and has the date dan yeah he has Suk Cao so coming

eighteen year eighteen let's have a look back at the back now there's two

signatures produced by the American Bank net company as you consider design

typical American style Annie is by the Central Bank of China in five custom

gold units and these are produced in the 1930s and in the 1940s day we were used

as just normal currency like this one will be used for five dollars and if you

know Chinese currency of the period you have our the central bank issuing

currencies and also ever private in provincial banks also issuing different

currencies so currency situation is pretty confusing okay here I have a ten

ten dollar so this is a SUP man I can't really read

Chinese bit of assume is just say so Central Bank of China and not too sure

what this says this one is pretty pretty good yep if we turn it over it has the

same thing and it has the central bank building you know probably Shanghai

actually cuz that's what a major economic center was back then okay two

signatures again and here I have a $20 it's the seal from the bank yeah I'm not

too sure what they seals are but the typical seals used in China generally

doing their different Empire periods these signs are 20 custom gold units or

$20 and as you can see again it has no security thread these ones have the date

Shanghai Shanghai 9:30 she's buddy making Bank net company nd

hi banknotes generally the same size I've just goes up to a fing 500

presumably 501 would be a lot bigger than this

probably something like that but they are a lot harder to get and yeah they're

pretty basic in design the main difference is floral pattern on the side

the bordering and also this pattern

yes sir I quite like these banknotes I'm trying

to get the whole series but Chinese banknotes are very competitive these

days yep there you go see five ten twenty dollars I hope you like these

banknotes or so I do and let me know what you can get him thank you very much

have a beautiful day

How To Focus! - Duration: 3:49.

Ready to shoot?? Ooohh look what's going on over there...Lillywhites has got a sale!!! I wanna go and see that

It looks more fun, wait a second!

hey, How's it going?? Matt

nice to meet you! Where you guys from?

What's up guys!!! It's matt from Macro Lean and I'm here in Piccadilly Circus in London.

Kind of fitting because this video is on a focus, something that we all suffer

from from time to time right? You need to focus on a goal, you need to focus on something

but there's so much going on. There's so much going on here right now.

There is police sirens, there's buses, taxis, there's

tourists, just millions of people. It's literally mayhem and if I let this

distract me I won't be able to do this video. But I'm focused on getting this

video done. My frame is strong! I'm on my mission to get this video filmed right

now and I'm gonna do it. And in 2017 I understand we're in a time where the

phone is the main chief of taking our focus away Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

stuff is going viral, new TV shows, Netflix right? But if you don't focus on

something for a certain period of time you're going to get nowhere!! And that's

the same in your fat loss goal, your health and fitness goal, that's the same

in your relationships, your career, your finances, your education and your

self-development! There needs to be focus. I've suffered from this a lot in the

past. Let's think about it! If I was in Manchester and I wanted to come to

London and on the way to London I kept stopping at Sheffield, at Birmingham, at

Wolverhampton and saying "What's going on here? What's going on here?" I'd never get to

London! I'd lose focus every five minutes and in this day and age it's so easy to

lose focus! Right now people are looking at me! Thinking who is this weird guy

talking to the camera? It's so easy to be distracted but I'm not going to lose my

focus because I want to get this done right now. This very second my mission is

getting this video done. You have a mission in your life whether it's a

micro mission, this is my micro mission right now or your macro mission! My macro

mission is to grow my company, to develop more as a human being and as a person and to

leave my legacy on the world. So, when I'm working my phone goes off for 45 minutes.

It's on airplane mode and I am working nose to the grindstone. After 45 minutes

when my alarm goes off I'll have a break of 10-15 minutes and have a stretch, have a cup

of tea whatever, have a break and then go back to doing what I'm doing.

When I'm in the gym my phone's on airplane mode. I've got my exercises set

out, I've got focus! It doesn't mean that a bright shiny object doesn't get my

attention sometimes but on the whole I have to be focused otherwise I'm gonna

get no nearer to my goal. I'm going to be

going "yeah I want to start my health and fitness goal" and then "ooh Netflix".. "ooh

Doritos" oohh this ...And I'm going to get nowhere! I'm going to be spinning my

wheels. So writing shit down, having goals is super important! Being consistent is

super important! Having focus is super important! If you have to work on

your business, on your degree, on your schoolwork put the phone on airplane

mode. Focus for 30 minutes/ 45 minutes! If you're in the gym for an hour to work

out put the phone airplane mode and hit your 5 or 6 exercises because that will

propel you further down the line. One big goal isn't achieved in a day! You don't

focus for a day and have an amazing body, You don't focus for a day have an

amazing business, You don't focus for a day and have an amazing relationship.

It requires consistent effort with focus! Am I perfect?? Hell NO!! I'm not perfect

at all and there's times where I see a video or I see a hot chick on Instagram I want

to go look at the picture. But you know what, I've learned to train my brain to

focus for at least 30 to 45 minutes and then have a break. You can't work 6 hours

straight, no one can do it don't try and grind the whole time otherwise you

will go mad. But you still need to focus for a certain amount of time to get shit

done. So if it resonates with you? if you're the same as me sometimes and you get

distracted? Put the phone on airplane mode! Focus for a certain amount of time

and get shit done!!!
