Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman.

Today we are going to discuss: Fat necrosis after butt augmentation.

In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.

Welcome back!

Butt augmentation via fat transfer is a popular procedure because it entails lesser risks

and delivers natural results.

However, like all other operations, the procedure is not risk-free.

Fat necrosis is one of the risks associated with the fat transfer to the butt that worries some patients.

Fat necrosis occurs when your body fails to supply enough blood and nutrients

to the newly grafted fat cells in your butt.

The fat cells need nutrients to remain alive and active.

The lack of enough supply of blood and nutrients to the fat cells leads to the death of some fat cells.

The dead fat cells then release fatty acids and similar chemicals that often lead to swelling

and discomfort in the butt.

Fat necrosis is a completely manageable condition, and it can happen after any type of operation.

Typically, the condition triggers the development of an insensate lump; however, in some cases,

the affected area may be painful.

Most patients mistake the condition for infection of the incision.

Fat necrosis after butt augmentation is diagnosed by examining the patient for other indications

of infection like high temperature, vomiting, or chills.

Of course, the surgical area will also be evaluated.

The surface of fat necrosis is quite flabby.

It appears and feels like soft and heavy dough under the skin.

Sometimes, it can be sensitive to the touch.

Other times it feels hard.

There is also a chance that the lump will decrease with the passage of time and

only a tiny bump will be left behind under the skin or deeper.

If it doesn't happen, the lump can be surgically removed.

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia, depending on the size of the lump.

Another option is the use of needle aspiration to remove the lump if the fat has become liquid.

If more fat has died in your butt, you may require a touch-up fat injection to make up for the lost fat.

Anyone who feels fat necrosis has occurred after butt augmentation should consult with the plastic surgeon

to diagnose the condition and come up with appropriate remedies for it.

going to get into the unboxing now of the YA PageHabit September box.

Okay, so as I learned last time, which was my first time unboxing a PageHabit box, as

soon as you move the thing on top the book is very obvious so I'm just gonna

go for the book to start with and then I'll get through all the other items afterwards.

So... [crinkly paper sounds]

this is the book. It is Black Bird of the Gallows by Meg Kassel

and I actually I don't think I've ever heard of this one. And once again if you

saw this post it on the front that is because the books

from PageHabit are all annotated, so they have post-its kind of scattered

throughout here. You can see on the pages where the author has written out some of

their thoughts and notes on each scene where these are found. And that paper

that was on top before is a letter from the author just talking about being

included in PageHabit and what the book means to her and just a little hello to

the subscribers. There is this badge. "Time traveler." This is a little patch I

guess you can iron this on to something if you want to. That's what it looks like

from the back. Next is a bookmark which PageHabit does I guess every month. They

are laminated. It says "the love of books is a love which requires neither

justification, apology, nor defense."

This little guy... I don't know what this is. I

would assume that this is a coaster. It's just a little foam, it looks like a little fox

face. He's really cute.

[plastic crinkling] Ohh this is nice. I really love this. This is a Harry Potter

keychain. It's got the Deathly Hallows symbol and then there is a wizard's hat,

an owl, a book, and a little Golden Snitch. I really really like this. The next item

in here is a little pin and it is just a little comic book so that's really cool

for comic fans. And the final item in the box is the short story that PageHabit

includes every month and I think that these differ per box but mine is Holiday

by Terri Leker and it says, "a teenage girl with a hospitalized father and

distracted mother finds her own respite with a boy at her new high school." So

that is everything in this month's box and then checking back in with one of those

papers that were on top, this is where this month's donation went to. So once

again, for every box that is purchased or subscribed to through PageHabit they do

make a donation from a portion of their proceeds to a Literacy Foundation around

the world and this month the donation went to Dalia, Togo. There are no

libraries or reading materials outside of what's available at the schools so one

of the schools has a building they are going to be using to

the world and it's definitely a great thing about this subscription company.

Okay, so now that we have done the unboxing I know a little bit more about

this book now. This one that sounds like a good supernatural paranormal romance,

like a throwback to when that was like the trend in YA and I haven't read a book

like that in a long time so when I read the book jacket just now it did kind of

pique my interest just because I've been out of that genre for so long. So

we're following a young girl in high school and there's a mysterious brooding

new boy in her school [laughs], which is a trope that sometimes makes me laugh, sometimes

I don't like it, but apparently him showing up at the school is a bad omen.

It's a bad thing because he's not exactly human and the main character

ends up being thrown into like this battle between good and evil while she

is falling for this mysterious new guy who isn't exactly human. This little

blurb, a couple lines on the front cover, says, "her love breaks his curse but his

love spells her death," so it seems like a star-crossed love kind of thing. I'm

gonna admit guys, I'm not hating the idea of this premise. I'm actually much more

interested in it than I thought I would be in a paranormal book. And I forgot to

show you guys the naked cover when I did the unboxing. It is just a plain purple

cover with some foil on the spine. Definitely let me know if you guys have

5AM WAKEUP CHALLENGE | writing, productivity, & change [CC] - Duration: 14:26.

Hey guys, it's Lainey and it's going to be the last week of September and I decided

to challenge myself this whole week. I'm gonna do the 5 a.m. Challenge. It's not a

real challenge but I'm just calling it that. Basically it's where I get up every

morning at 5 a.m. I'm doing it for several reasons one of the reasons is to

boost my productivity. Also I need a change. I will say right now there is no

writing vlog because I have been in such a creative rut for the past month that I

just haven't been able to write and I think the main reason why I fell into

this creative rut is because I am going to rewrite Sharp Hollows from the

beginning. I've gotten into this routine of not doing much I've been reading

which is great but I haven't been furthering myself and challenging myself

in my own creative way. Today I have been preparing myself for the week to come.

I went grocery shopping I did some laundry I cleaned my apartment and that's really

helped with "the change." With October coming up my birthday is right at the

beginning of October so I'm about to turn 26. I just need this change doing

this challenge will help me just help me get out of the rut help me feel more

productive. I probably should mention why I'm getting up at 5 a.m. I work at 8:30 so I

leave my apartment around 7:45. The reason why I'm getting up at 5:00 at

versus 6:00 is that I want to get things done. I want to do yoga because I have

really fallen off the beaten path of doing that because I was doing that and

then I stopped and I want to get back to that. I also want to make my lunch before

I take it to work I don't want to eat at work anymore. I want to have breakfast

because I also am kind of rushing out the door I don't have time to you know

sit and have a good breakfast. I want to be able to write. Push myself to write I

want to also maybe read just spend maybe a half hour just reading to get my brain

going. You're gonna see a lot of variety this week. So I'm gonna be vlogging it

because it's gonna be able to hold myself accountable. So I do have to get

up every morning at 5 a.m. I just kind of want to do something different and

put it out there and just feel better about myself before you know I go into

my birthday. Right now I haven't been and great about myself because of my rut.

I can kind of make this into maybe a writing vlog as well. A lot of you guys

know if you follow me on Twitter I entered Pitch Wars. We were able to

submit up to six mentors. I submitted to six. I got full requests

from three of the six. I'm going to be doing a blog post as well about

my experience on Pitch Wars, because I had a very positive experience with Pitch Wars

despite not being picked as a mentee and I kind of want to tell people about it,

if I can, I don't know if it's tacky or something. Really helped me it actually

pushed me to realize that I need to rewrite it. One of the mentors gave me

basically a mini edit letter. She said she really liked it but there were these

problems with it and the important thing to know about receiving feedback is you

don't have to take it at face value I don't have to apply any of this mentor's

critiques at all to my manuscript. However when I was reading her critiques

because she broke it down and... I was like really really impressed that

she gave me this much feedback even though she didn't pick me. To know if you

need to apply this feedback is, at least for me, when I was reading the critiques

I was like "hmm..." Yeah, I kind of agree with that and there

was mostly all the things that I knew were problems but I was kind of ignoring

in the deeper subconscious part of my brain but having someone point those out

I did realize that those were things I did need to fix. Unfortunately for me

these things that need to be fixed, require me to mostly rewrite it. It took

me a while to like let that sink in that I needed that to be done and it was very

disheartening at first for me even though I knew, I knew it, I knew it these

things, these changes, need to be made, but it sucked. It just straight-up sucked,

because I feel like, I know writing is rewriting and this is a piece of writing

101 that takes me a long time to really embrace just because of my

academic background. I viewed it as a while I've been working on this for 10

months and to feel like I'm going back to square one just makes me want to cry.

Trying to force myself to see it as this isn't square one again, you're not back

at square one because still all the same characters, they still have all the same

motives and the same personalities, mostly. The best way I can describe it is

I'm basically writing a reboot to my own original book. Just making it better, but

I'm telling the same story. It's still the same journey story. It's still the

same treasure hunt... I'm just telling it in a different way. Instead of taking

path 1 to get to the end product, I'm taking path 2 to get to the end product.

And that's very overwhelming for me and you know how much of this really sucked

is that a couple days before I realized that I needed to rewrite it I actually

started outlining a book, a new book, a new idea that I was going to work on for

NaNoWriMo and now I don't know. I don't know my future plans for NaNoWriMo at all

Right now it's about 7 p.m. and I'm gonna get to bed early and I guess

you'll see me tomorrow morning at 5 a.m. Okay, it's 5 a.m. and I am getting up for

the day. First I'm going to do some yoga.

Okay so, I finished my workout. The bad thing was I really sucked because it's

been a while since I've done yoga. The good news is I feel really awake now.

I have to leave for work in about 20 minutes so I did do a lot of things this morning

productivity wise, I just didn't get to all the things I wanted to do. I also got

extremely distracted when I was doing my makeup today because I was watching

Project Runway while I was doing my makeup so that just took me a really

long time, plus I like curled my hair and that takes, you know, about 15 minutes as

well, so since this is the first day I'm like getting used to the schedule of

getting up at 5. So let's hope by Wednesday I'm finished getting ready by

7 so then I have about 40 minutes to kind of do what I want. I just wanted to

quickly update kind of my day. I'm just kind of sitting at my desk I am painting

my nails currently because why not? And I'm watching some YouTube videos.

Right now I'm watching Natalia Leigh. I really like her videos, she's a great writing

person on YouTube. I'm also behind on a lot of videos. My Watch Later right

now is... it has to be over 200 and it's just so overwhelming because I just

haven't been watching a lot of YouTube lately. So I'm currently binging the

videos I've missed of hers. I got 20 minutes of brainstorming in this morning

which was great I think I have... I'm working out the problems that I feel

like I'm having in my head which is good. Releasing that creativity. Still plan to

go to bed around 10:30/11 o'clock is my latest. I mean I could go to sleep if I

wanted to right now but I'm not exhausted. That's one of the things I'm

pleasantly surprised at. It doesn't even feel like I woke up at 5:00, it

feels like I woke up at the same time I usually do, which is nice. I know it's only the

first day but I'm feeling really positive about these changes. I have like

a new outlook on how I want to live my life and these were like the first steps

in the right direction for me. You're probably like this girl is a being way

too extra about giving up early, but I just want to one, be happy and be excited

and two, be productive. I will see you guys in the morning I guess.

I'm doing pretty good on time. I did yoga. Oh my god, I woke up this

morning and like my whole shoulders were on fire they hurt so bad.

Showered, did my hair and my makeup already. And now I'm eating. So a bagel

and some applesauce and then I'm also just watching a episode of Bob's Burgers.

Okay, day three, five a.m. Let's do this.

I feel like my transitions for this vlog are going to be so terrible.

I just finished watching last night's Dancing With The Stars. I really love Dancing With The

Stars. Since it like started, I feel like I've watched about 90% of the seasons.

If you're fans of Dancing With The Stars, let me know because I love that show.

My favorites this season... Favorite is Frankie and Witney. I also really love Jordan

and Lindsay and Lindsey and Mark. Yesterday I broke through some of the

brainstorming issues I was having with rewriting the first chapter so now I

think I can finish the first chapter. I'm really really excited about that.

I feel so lost that's how I really feel about Sharp Hollows right now. This one

felt like a blow to me because I'm not even keeping anything I'm writing, I'm

not reworking anything, I'm like starting over and that sucks. It just plain sucks.

You'll probably get sick of me complaining about this but it's just

like so heartbreaking. All over the writing vlogs I've done before talking

about this right here, right now. You've seen them. You've seen how much I've been

working. Not that I want you know I'll pat on the back, but you've seen the

journey of that whole process for me. That being said, I know I'm

gonna be participating in NaNoWriMo. At what capacity? I'm not sure yet. I don't know

if it'd be better if I just write what I can with Sharp Hollows right now and then

once November 1st hits, just to let it sit? The part I love about NaNoWriMo is

starting something new and just having that fresh, blank page and just going for

it for 50,000 words. So that's like what I'm struggling with because I have

another idea that I'm pretty pumped about.

I don't know if I should just word vomit a first draft in November. "First draft" is

relative let's get real. It'll just be like about 50,000 words barely at midnight

of December 1st. Go back to Sharp Hollows in December? I'm just it's pretty much up

in the air and if I do do the new project, which I'm just gonna start

calling Witch Pirates because that's what I've started calling it when I've

made a playlist and everything for it already. I mean I'm gonna have to divide

my time in October between working on Sharp Hollows and also outlining

Witch Pirates because I will... I have to have a plan and I have like brainstormed a lot

for Witch Pirates already, so I have a general idea of like where I want to go

with it, but I still need to research, I need to outline, and I need to world

build a lot because this world... there's a lot of rules, already. I've been rambling

a lot, but I thought I need to let you guys in on what my writing has been like.

It just has not been as vigorous as it was in the beginning of the summer.

It's tiny bit harder to get up this morning, I'm really tired and it's also the ab

workout for my yoga today, I know I'm gonna hurt all day once I do it

Okay, 5:00 a.m. Friday morning.

I never did do an outro for this 5:00 a.m. Challenge. I'm so very happy that I did this. I feel like I was really taking

care of myself and also being productive, which was great. I found that when I was

at work, I didn't feel like I was tired it's not like, "Oh man, I got up at

5:00 a.m. today." I felt like I got up, got up at my normal time so I think going

forward I'm gonna continue to do getting up at 5:00 a.m. just for my productivity

and for my health. But I won't vlog it. October you'll see

my regularly scheduled writing vlogs and this month is gonna be crazy for writing

because I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for NaNoWriMo.

The Untold Truth Of SNL's Forgotten Season - Duration: 7:12.

After creating and running Saturday Night Live for five seasons, Lorne Michaels stepped

away from the sketch comedy to work on some other TV projects.

As a result, the show's sixth season, which ran from 1980 to 1981, turned out to be an

incredibly tumultuous year for the creatives on SNL.

Although much of the chaos ensued behind the scenes, there were some on-screen shifts that

rendered the show's comedy pretty forgettable.

So forgettable, in fact, that people rarely bring up any moments from this season at all

unless they're talking about how disastrously bad it was.

Here's what you might not know about Saturday Night Live's forgotten season.

Breaking away

After five years of putting in the intense time and effort it takes to make SNL shine,

Lorne Michaels decided he needed to take a step back from the executive chair for a bit.

At first, he just wanted the summer off and to delay the sixth season premiere to just

after the 1980 election, instead of the usual September start.

But Michaels also admitted he wasn't sure if he wanted to come back at all, because

to continue the show meant he'd have to sacrifice other ambitions.

So, he floated some ideas to NBC about who should take over in his absence just in case.

His top choice was for SNL writers and occasional performers Al Franken and Tom Davis to take

over.

He figured they'd be the best candidates to maintain the quality, integrity, and tone

of the show, since they'd all worked together for so long.

But he doomed Franken's chances before the possibility could even materialize.

Michaels had been scheduled to meet with NBC president Fred Silverman to discuss their

future, but Silverman had to postpone.

Then, the weekend before the rescheduled appointment, Franken appeared on a segment of "Weekend

Update" that specifically targeted the head honcho.

"You know who gets complete, door-to-door limousine service from NBC?

Fred Silverman."

Franken said in the piece that it wasn't fair that he should have to hail cabs in New York

while Silverman got to take a limousine wherever he wanted, even while NBC was failing in the

ratings.

"I like to call it a limo for the lame-o."

Silverman saw the episode — and lost his cool with Michaels.

The relationship between Michaels and the network soured so badly that Michaels decided

to walk away from SNL completely, and Silverman overlooked Franken as Michaels' replacement.

Regrouping

A few weeks after his spat with NBC brass, Michaels got a call from another exec who

informed him that his successor would be Jean Doumanian, an associate producer for the show.

Michaels thought Doumanian was, quote, "an interesting choice" because he felt SNL was,

quote, "a writer-based show," and Doumanian had been on the writing staff for exactly

one TV variety special.

But her years on SNL did give her the knowledge of how the show was assembled each week, and

Doumanian's skills as a talent coordinator would come in handy.

That's because when Michaels left, so did the entire cast of Saturday Night Live: including

Jane Curtin, Bill Murray, Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman, and Gilda Radner.

So that meant Doumanian had to assemble an entirely new cast.

She put together a roster that included Denny Dillon, Gilbert Gottfried, Joe Piscopo, and

Eddie Murphy.

Although Murphy was not the first choice for the new roster, he continuously contacted

talent coordinator Neil Levy until he gave the comedian a chance to audition.

Little did anyone know that Murphy's audition routine would come in handy later on in the

show.

See, almost every writer left with Lorne Michaels and the cast, so Doumanian had to recruit

a new stable of talent behind-the-scenes too.

But with the writer's room becoming its own sort of revolving door while she was in charge,

there was a shortage of sketches.

In one case, they were running five minutes short on material and decided at the last-minute

to have Murphy go out and perform his stand-up routine to fill the empty airtime.

The 19-year-old became the actual saving grace of the entire season after that.

Multiple missteps

Despite the introduction of Murphy as a rising star, the sixth season of SNL was still filled

with snafus.

For example, In the cold open of the season premiere, host Elliott Gould wakes up in bed

with some new cast members, and they're immediately compared to the show's former cast members.

"Sort of a cross between Gilda and Jane."

In other words, the show's new era began with an unfavorable comparison to its old iteration,

and it was a steep slide down from there.

In one episode, some good ol' boys try to shoot Communists, and one character used the

N-word.

But the season wasn't just offensive — it was also boring and bizarre.

There was a five-minute-long sketch about a couple who can't remember the name of their

friend's cat.

"The Leather Weather Report" featured Denny Dillon as a dominatrix named Thelma Thunder

giving her S&M-themed forecast.

Perhaps most idiotically, "Weekend Update" was ditched in favor of a failed segment called

"Saturday Night Newsline."

And in what became the most infamous incident of the season, on episode 11 in February,

cast member Charles Rocket dropped an eff-bomb on live air.

"Charlie, How are you feeling after you've been shot?"

"Oh man, it's the first time I've ever been shot in my life.

I'd like to know who the f--- did it."

The show lost 30 percent of its audience, and critics maligned the new direction.

The New York Times even called it "an unfunny parody of its predecessor" that relied too

heavily on racial and sexual humor.

If the execs wants to salvage their hit series, they'd have to think fast.

Beginning again

After the 12th episode of the season — one after Charles Rocket's eff-word incident — Doumanian

was relieved from her position as SNL producer.

Her replacement was NBC executive Dick Ebersol, who'd actually helped develop Saturday Night

Live in the mid-'70s.

Immediately after taking over, Ebersol fired most of the cast, including Charles Rocket,

Gilbert Gottfried, Ann Risley, Yvonne Hudson, Matthew Laurance, and Patrick Weathers.

In their places, he brought in SCTV stars Robin Duke and Tony Rosato, as well as Tim

Kazurinsky.

Laurie Metcalf and National Lampoon editor Emily Prager were also hired as featured players.

By the time the season was finished, Ebersol also fired Gail Matthius and Denny Dillon,

so the only Doumanian hires to survive the season were breakout stars Eddie Murphy and

Joe Piscopo.

Thanks to Murphy's status as the MVP of the season, he became the first featured player

promoted to regular cast member during his first season on the show.

Bad timing

What set all these massive changes into motion was producer Lorne Michaels wanting a break

in the fall of 1980.

Ironically, had he just stayed with the show and said nothing to NBC, he probably would've

gotten one.

The sixth season of SNL didn't actually air its first episode until November 15th, 1980

— about two months late — all because of a Screen Actors Guild strike.

But luckily for everyone involved with the disaster-plagued season, it also ended early,

cut short abruptly after the 13th episode due to a writers strike.

The 14th episode had already been planned, and it might have helped get SNL back on track.

As a guest on Weekend Update, would-be showrunner Al Franken announced he'd be back the next

week to host and offered a scathing monologue about how he was hellbent on repairing the

broken season.

"Anyway it took NBC 12 shows to figure out their horrendous mistake."

But the strike-shortened season led to some of the shortest tenures in SNL history.

Featured players Laurie Metcalf and Emily Prager were let go after that de facto season

finale, and Metcalf only appeared in one pre-taped bit for Weekend Update, while Prager never

officially appeared on the show at all.

Thanks to the brevity of the season and so many cast and creative shake-ups, it's hardly

any wonder why SNL's sixth season hasn't shown up much in the highlight reel.

But, hey — at least it introduced the world to Eddie Murphy.

15 – Watermelon Snow Exists • Watermelon Snow sounds like a delicious

summer treat, but it's really not something you should eat.

• It's snow that takes on a pinkish color in cold climates because of a red-tinted algae

that thrives in freezing water.

• That algae is poisonous, so yeah… don't eat the watermelon snow.

14 – Raining Fish • While rare, it's possible for it to

rain fish.

Of course, it's not like the fish form from the clouds themselves.

• Fish and other aquatic life sometimes get sucked up in a waterspout and carried

in a storm system before being dropped back down to Earth.

• Most of the time that just happens over the water, but once in a while, an unsuspecting

town gets a surprise seafood delivery.

And no, it has never happened with sharks... but it HAS happened with alligators.

13 – Water is the Deadliest Part of a Hurricane • When you see a hurricane or typhoon, there's

no doubt the flashiest thing about them is the high winds.

• So when you think about fatalities during a hurricane, you probably think about people

being hit with flying street signs and random sheets of metal.

• But actually, almost 90% of deaths from a hurricane are a result of water, not wind.

The storm surge and flooding is the by far the deadliest part of the storm.

12 – The Driest Place on Earth • Antofagasta, Chile is by far the driest

place on Earth.

Which is a little surprising, since it's a port city.

• On average, the city receives about one-tenth of a millimetre of rain per month.

• They average about 5 days of precipitation per year, but it's not unusual for them

to go an entire year without so much as a drop of rain.

11 – Most Lightning Strike Victims Survive • Getting struck by lightning is like the

ultimate gold standard in bad luck.

• But there's some good news – in the one-in-three-million chance that it does happen

to you, you're very likely to survive.

About 90% of people struck by lightning live to see another day.

• Of course, you may not come out of it with your memories intact, or your hair, or

your basic motor functions.

But you'll be alive!

10 – Fire Tornadoes are Real • It sounds like a magic spell or a Pokemon

move, but a fire whirl is an actual, scientific thing.

• They're not technically "tornadoes, since they don't extend up to the could

base.

But during wildfires, flame and ash can combine with turbulent wind conditions to create a

vortex of flame that burns at over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

• They may be small, but these fire whirls can generate winds of up to 100 miles per

hour and last for more than an hour.

9 – Raining Blood • Blood rain, like watermelon snow, is a

totally real thing that isn't at all what it sounds like.

• It happens when dust or sand – usually from deserts – gets caught up in a storm.

• That desert sand mixes with the storm clouds and eventually comes down in the rain,

tinting the rain the color of the sand.

Most of the time it's yellowish or brown – you know, like sand.

• But some sand is reddish-colored as well.

When that mixes with the rain, it can make your whole town look like a death metal album.

8 – Snowflakes Don't Hurry • Obviously, snow doesn't fall as fast

as rain.

While rain just sort of comes straight at you, snow floats down at its own pace.

• But how long does it actually take?

Meteorologists estimate that under normal conditions, a snowflake takes about 45 to

60 minutes from the time it leaves the cloud to the time it hits the ground.

• Oddly enough, larger flakes tend to fall even slower, because they have parachute-like

qualities that increase air resistance as they fall.

7 – Rain is Heavy…

• We usually talk about rain in terms of inches or centimeters, not in terms of its

weight.

• But water is heavy.

On average, the planet Earth gets about 1 billion tons of rain every minute of every

day.

6 – … but Evaporation Makes Up for It • About 10 percent of the moisture in the

atmosphere is released by plants, through a process called "transpiration."

It's like evaporation, only the plants release water vapor directly into the air.

• Even though there is literally tons of water being dropped on the earth every day,

it finds a way to get it back.

A single acre of corn gives off about 4,000 gallons of water every day.

That's about 16.7 tons of water.

5 – Avalanches Can be as Strong as Hurricanes • There are many different types of avalanches,

but the "dry slab avalanche" accounts for almost all fatalities in North America.

• This is an avalanche where giant slabs of snow and ice break loose and hurl themselves

down a slope at a rate of up to 220 miles per hour.

For reference, a hurricane only has to have 156 mile-per-hour winds to be considered a

category 5.

• And hurricanes are just carrying wind – not football field-size slabs of ice.

4 –Efficient Tornado Killers • It sounds obvious that the biggest tornadoes

would cause the most death, but it's worse than you think.

• Tornadoes rated at F4 or F5 on the Fujita scale are rare.

Only 1 to 2 percent of all tornadoes get that big.

• Yet that 1 or 2 percent of tornadoes are responsible for 70 percent of all tornado-related

fatalities.

3 – Rainwater Has Vitamin B12 • As you probably figured from the whole

"blood rain" thing, the rain that falls from the sky isn't pure water.

It has little particles and stuff in it from the environment.

• That means there are some tiny bacteria and microorganisms in rainwater that have

tiny bits of vitamin B12 in them.

• However, it's too small an amount to really help you.

Most of the measurable B12 found previously in rainwater comes from runoff.

Either way, don't drink it.

2 – Hurricane Power • It's tough to measure this exactly,

but it's estimated that the average hurricane produces enough energy to power the entire

planet several times over.

• To be exact, a hurricane releases about 600 trillion watts of heat energy over its

lifespan – about 200 times the capacity of every electricity-producing structure on

Earth.

• Of course, hurricanes are also extremely inefficient, so only about a half-percent

of that actually gets converted into wind energy.

1 – Heatwaves Can Bend Train Tracks • A bad heatwave can make it impossible

to fly, and dangerous to leave children, animals, or chocolate in the car.

• But it can also screw things up for trains.

Extreme heat has been known to bend train tracks so badly, trains have to cut their

speed in high heat just in case they hit one of those bends.

• If they were to hit those spots at their normal speed, there's a good chance they

would de-rail.

Embossing resist tags process video ~ Scraptober Day 3 - Duration: 10:14.

Hi everyone it's Morgyn from for the love of paper and I am here with a quick little

tutorial video for you. I am going to create a couple of little gift tags

and my challenge for this one was to use an emboss resist technique so that's

what I'm going go through and do here. I decided to use watercolor paper for this

project as I knew I wanted to add water to the ink to give us sort of a

watercolor effect to it so yeah it's just some cheap watercolor paper that I

picked up from spotlight so nothing too fancy and I'm going to use that I

cut out my tags sorry about the zooming of the image

there and I did stop it, but my my camera just likes to zoom in and out sometimes

so sorry about that. um yeah I did cut out these tags using

my Tim Holtz Bigz die I think it's just called tags and that was going be

the base for my project. then I used this stamp set from stamping up I do not know

the name of it but I will find out and try and leave a link below if I remember.

I know sometimes I forget to leave the links below.

I used some stamping up embossing powder it's just a clear powder and I sprinkled

that on the ink. Which is what's the ink called it's the Versa I can't remember

what it's called. The one you use for embossing anyway, and I use that with

some clear embossing powder and then heat set it and then went through and

got these distress inks. I've got a few of these little cubes and then I've

got a whole bunch of the big ones as well

and I just use the cubes for this project it was a bit easier and I just

smushed them on the page a little. stamp them on the page a little bit and then

use my paintbrush with just a little bit of water to sort of blend it in and mix

it all around a bit and then I sort of tried to blend the colors together a

little bit as well it didn't turn out too bad.

um I haven't ever tried using that technique before not with the ink pads

so it was a little bit of fun playing around and having a go with that as well

so for my next one I used a different stamp so the first one I did was dots

I think yep and then this one I did it's kind of like little paintbrush strokes

this one and I just stamped it a couple of times on the tag and again put the

embossing powder on it and heat set it before before adding my ink. this was

a really fun project to make it was super quick I think all that but took me

20 minutes to make three tags I actually made four but one of them you don't see

because it was kind of my tester just to see how this project would work

before I before I filmed. I think all up that took 20-25 minutes maybe

might have been 25 minutes because I've done this sped it up times two and it's

only a nine minute video so that's not too long at all really to get all of

this done and then I went with a couple of different colors or my inks this time

I went with kind of a blue and green look this one and I used one of my big

ink pads that time around as well and this time I covered the whole

tag with ink before I went over with my what is that with my paintbrush then

just to see how I how much better I could blend the inks together and they

blend really really nicely I was surprised I've never I've seen the

technique used it quite a few times on different people's channels but I've

never tried it myself so I was really really happy with how that one turned

out and then I just rubbed off the excess the bits that were on the top of

the embossed pieces so they would shine on through and my last one I think I go

for more pinks yeah that's right pinks and purples reds and then I try to get a

clean piece of paper out when I go to do my embossing just so I can tip all the

powder back into the little jar and I when I got this other stamp set and this

is a peacock I don't know where the stamp set was from it could have been

one of the ones from Aldi actually you know I think about it that someone was

very generous to go and get for me because I didn't have an Aldi near me at

that time and some women bought it for me which was super kind this is couple

of years ago now so I can't even remember who it was and yeah so I used

the peacock I did want to do the blue and green on this one but I kind of

mixed it up so never mind I went with the pinks and the Reds on this one

instead and a little bit of purple in there trying to find another color a

little bit of blue at the top so it kind of has the gradient from purple blue red

down and this one didn't come out quite as well as I'd hoped

mainly because the the image itself was a bit too detailed and it wasn't quite

big enough for the tag so the top tag is just the watercolor ink and then

that bottom corner there's almost there's not enough like spot in between

whether the embossing powder sorry I completely forgot what I was yeah

there's enough spots in between so you don't get much color on the peacock

unfortunately but it still looks cool and you know I'm just gonna be putting

these on some presents people later in the year and you know I'm sure they just

don't get chucked out okay sorry little mr. Romans being fussy at the

moment and yes so I'm sure they're only gonna be thrown out but whoever gets

them so it doesn't really matter now I'm going to do some inking just in black

I use my stays on ink okay I think I switched to something else to start

after this this one is kind of like that stamp is a like a a piece of paper

that's been pinned to a wall or something I'm not really sure a little

note paper I suppose so I thought that would be kind of cool for a gift tag

yeah I gave up on the stays on because it didn't think properly and I'm winning

got my memento black and get out instead oh no I don't I lied I just have to

clean as I go so I apologize Cygnet cleaning and then this one I just did

some feathers to go with the peacock and the LA oh oh that's right it says live

life love I think down the side and then the last one which is the one with all

the little spots on it I do smile smile smile

just stand the bottom because who doesn't smile when you're getting a

present even if you don't like it you still

smile and that was my tags done nice and super quick super simple and really

really effective I've got to remove to use the embossing resist tip make a bit

more and also watercolor but to do them both so fun I can't wait to get my hands

on some of the distress oxides as well I want to get some of them I'm really

trying to get into a bit more mixed media and trying to do some art journal

soon too so that will be fun and then I'm gonna got some twine out of my stash

and I managed to match up the colors purple green and blue I think and called
