How To Make An Epic Halloween Treasure Hunt - Duration: 10:58.

I have left you, a Mystery Box a secret so rare, is not easy to unlock

a clue I'll give you, but shhh it's a secret a dangerous one, so you'll have to keep it

a secret code, unlocks this box the first number, you will find in a cup

among cups and mugs, squared and curved the number is hiding, where all drinks are served

Monsters! Monsters! Hurry we must fight! did you hear that noise? I think they're outside

Spirits and ghosts, will be haunting us soon who catches the most, in the living room

No number, was found in here but in my riddle, the answer will appear

1 witch fell off her broom 1 spider dropped down with caution

2 frogs jumped in with a splash how many are in the cauldron

A mysterious gift, for cracking the code my oldest wand, a secret road

a path unknown, under the moon where trees are tall, where shadows bloom

Watch out for the ghosts, and souls of the heartless a secret treasure, is hidden in darkness

no time to waste, while the night is blue in the garden, the stones will guide you

Hi everyone :) So I hope you are well and that you are having a great fall

So I decided to make this treasure hunt for my nephews this Halloween

and since they loved it so much, I thought I would share it with you

So if you wonder how to make this epic treasure hunt - let's go :)

so first we're going to print the letters and dip them into some strong tea

to give them that old and mysterious look

once dry, they will look something like this

then just cut out the letters and roll them up

cut out the puzzle letter into small pieces

then it's time to make the numbers 3 and 1

so I just cut out some circles on this glitter paper

wrote the numbers

and then covered the back with another piece of glitter paper to complete the coin

so to create the Mystery Box you can use basically any type of box

if the box has a separate lid like this one, you can just add tape to one of the sides

to make a space for the lock, I just poked 2 holes and threaded a zip tie trough them

then I slit a hole in the lid, so that the zip tie can be threaded through the top part of the box

inside the Mystery Box we have a magical wand and for that I'm just using this cheap mini black light

then just cover it with some thick paper

and make sure to cut a hole for the on and off switch

then just paint the whole thing with acrylic paint

for the glowing stones, I simply found some stones in the garden

painted them white and then gave them a coat of florescent glow-in-the-dark paint

so for the punching cups, I'm just cutting out some circles of silk paper

fill one cup with the number 3 and cover the top with silk paper and some tape

then fill one cup with the first mini scroll

then just fill a bunch of cups with spiders, ghosts and other small Halloween props

that you might have laying around

use one of the cups as a template and cut out some holes in a large cardboard box

stuff the cups through the holes and we're done :)

for the balloon monsters you will first need to place the number 1

and the second mini scroll in some airtight bags

this is important, since you want to hide them inside a balloon

it can be pretty damp inside and the moisture would otherwise destroy the paper

then just blow up a bunch of balloons draw on some monster faces and we're done

for the ghost-fishing, we're going to need some kind of Halloween prop

I chose this glow-in-the-dark bat but you can basically use anything

just tape on a magnet and thread some string around it

then just fasten it to a branch or a stick of some kind

for the ghosts, we're going to cut out some large circles of white silk paper

place a piece of paper underneath and draw on some cute or scary faces

then flip the paper

find another magnet and find the side that pulls towards the fishing rod

then place that side face down and tape it to the silk paper

scrunch up the sides and close with a piece of tape

hide your puzzle pieces inside some of the papers and then just make a bunch of ghosts

until the bottom of the box is full

so for the treasure, I first lined the bottom with some plastic

for protection against the moisture from the ground

then I threw in some tissue paper and various Halloween items like spider web

LED balloons

some glow-in-the-dark bats

spiders and some golden coins of course

some pirate eye patches and then of course the most important thing - candy :)

now the only thing left to do, is to place the last scroll and the wand inside the Mystery Box

lock it with the combination 3-1-4 and hand over the first letter to your pirates

Thank you so much for watching, I wish you the best of luck and a Happy Halloween :)

SHREK EAR WAX ON Q-TIPS - No.1 Most Disgusting Halloween 🎃 Recipes - Duration: 4:48.

So inspired by the earwax scene out of the Shrek movie I've decided to make

ogres earwax on q-tips as my most disgusting Halloween recipe. I've made

these um chocolate ears, Shrek ears you know the modeling chocolate we made a

couple of days ago. Not too difficult to make, all you need to do is take a little

piece of your modeling chocolate, get it nice and soft and then you just sort of

shape it up into an ear and start molding it into shape. The q-tips by the

way, are way, way simple, we've just got a lollipop stick, some mini marshmallows

and I'm just going to twist the marshmallow onto the stick like that.

Both ends of course and there you've got your little cotton wool earbuds. I've got

some smooth peanut butter which we've just colored with a little bit of green

coloring and you can dip the end of the q-tips in there and you'll end up with

these disgusting looking used q-tips. Just pop some on the other end. So I've

made two Shrek ears, they're just for decoration you could actually fill the

inside of the ears with the green peanut butter, that would be kind of cool and

don't forget the the Shrek nose as well. To make these look a little bit creepier

Actually I'll show you one I was practicing with earlier on. Here is nose 1.0, what I've

done is I popped one of the lolly sticks up there put a little bit of marshmallow on

the side of the nose and then covered it in some modeling chocolate so it looks

like it's being pushed up and the skins stretching out on his nose. I am going to

do that with this big one here as well. I'll just show you just move there the

q-tips out of the way for a moment. So what you would do, is take one of your

lolly sticks, into poor old Shrek's nose and as it sort of just punctures out, you

just see it coming out there, actually I can come all the way out, just pull it back

in. I'm just going to take one of the little mini marshmallows and snip it at an

angle, so I've got a little 45 degree. What you can do then is just stick that

to the side of the nose, just where the where the lolly stick came out. I then

take a very small piece of the modeling chocolate, make it nice and soft and

we're just going to use that to cover over the marshmallow. Might need one or

two pieces, now I haven't got my modeling tools so what I'll just use is the side

of a lolly stick and just shape this against the nose. Now when you're

modeling with chocolate, occasionally you might need to pop this in the fridge

just to chill it down if it gets too sticky.

Now that's by no means perfect I'll have a little work on it but you can see the

idea, we'll stick another marshmallow on the end and this will just look super gory,

super cool. That is pretty much it and why this makes number one for me just it

seems more disgusting than the dog poop cookies that we did the other day and on

top of that so, so simple to make obviously apart from the modeling

chocolate, which is a bit of fun, you can do it or not, but the little q-tips, the

green peanut butter, I'm going to take my little q-tip, dip it into the peanut

butter. Quick update the modeling chocolate I made the other day with the

homebrand, the Supermarket modeling chocolate, I found it a bit too greasy. So

I've gone back to my favorite the Nestle melts, this is not a sponsorship I use

this for modeling chocolate mainly because it is such rubbish chocolate

that it makes great modeling chocolate. It's got no cocoa butter in whatsoever.

Now the observant of you might have noticed I bit the side off of this little

chocolate bowl I made, I thought we'd finish filming. By the way it tastes

absolutely delicious. Set yourself up a little dipping bowl of peanut butter

maybe you could do something different, Nutella, whatever takes your fancy. The

kids are going to absolutely love these on Halloween, it's starting to drip off. Anyway

I'm going to give it a try for you, really really good, lots of fun and don't forget

to enjoy yourself this Halloween, make it a family affair, have lots of fun. Try

some of these 5 most disgusting recipes we've made, share me some pictures across

on social media and always I love to hear what you have to say, be good and

we'll see you after Halloween, take care.

Silent Letters Part 3 by Speaklish - Duration: 4:18.

Hey guys! This is Sudipta from Speaklish and welcome to another video lesson.

This is actually part 3 of a video series about Silent Letters and English Words.

So if you want to watch Part 1 and Part 2, you can watch them from the links in the description.

Ok! Let's start with our class today.

The letter K. I know you know this one. A

K is not pronounced when it comes before an N

like: Knife

Know

Knee

Knock

Knot

Knowledge

The letter L. The

Letter L can be silent too, and it's quite common when you look at this list:

But consider this rule to be a bit of a cheat because the letter L is quite difficult to pronounce in

all of these words,

even for a native speaker.

Look at these examples:

Could

Should

Talk

Walk

Yolk

Half, Calf

Salmon

The letter M

The letter M is usually pronounced, and you don't have to worry about the letter M.

N , on the other hand , you do have to worry about!

Before I explain, I want to show you the difference between M and

N

So that you can hear and you can check the difference in your mouth when you are trying to pronounce M

and N. So

Emmmmm...

Emmmmm...

You can notice that all of your lips are touching, all the way along, like in the word Mum.

When you pronounce the letter N, your mouth is open

actually, and it's your tongue that's doing the work. So your tongue is lifting to the roof of your mouth

behind your teeth

Ennn...

So now you can see the difference between M and

N. It's

important because I'm explaining the silent letter N.

It actually is silent when it's next to M

Confusing, huh! Let's look at the examples:

Damn

like in 'damn it'

Autumn Hymn

Column

Perfect! The letter P. The letter P can also be silent in words like Receipt

Psychology Psycho

Now remember that P can also be silent, or it changes when it's next to an H and

together

PH can often mean a

/f/ sound

like in the examples:

Paragraph

Elephant Telephone

Letter R

Letter R is not silent in American English

But it can be in British English and also Australian English, if you think about words like

Father

Mother

Father Mother

Butter

The R at the end of these words are not pronounced.

So that's it for the third part of Silent Letters in English.

We'll meet again in our fourth lesson soon.

Thank you, and do not forget to subscribe the channel if you like our video :)

Chandra Nandni Review: Ekta Kapoor's new show is more masala, less history - Duration: 6:56.

Chandra Nandni Review: Ekta Kapoor's new show is more masala, less history

With Chandra Nandni, Ekta Kapoor proves yet again that she is the masala queen.

Ekta Kapoor returns to the historical scene--after her hit period show Jodha Akbar--with yet another period drama based on emperor Chandragupta Mauryas life--Chandra Nandni.

The shows first episode aired on Star Plus on Monday night, and it started and ended in typical Ekta Kapoor style--with a lot of masala.

History buffs will obviously make light of the show,.

because let us be honest, the show doesnt have much to do with history, except some important names it has managed to retain;.

like Chandragupta Mauryas, and his mothers name, Moora.

The creators of the show have taken generous amount of creative liberty with the original story or history as we know it.

But to be fair to the makers, that is what cinema does, fluff it here and there with glossy details to make the package more entertaining and watchable.

And maybe, this is justifiable, especially in Chandraguptas case, because we know very little of the ruler from history books.

So, let us not get into the history part of it at all; not too much, at least.

Storyline so far.

The opening sequence of the show has a voiceover of Bharat Mata or Mother India,.

who tells viewers about her son, Chandragupta Maurya, and his great dynasty.

She also throws light on the relationship the ruler shared with his wife, Nandni, who taught him about love and life, like a dutiful wife.

Cut to another scene, where we see Chandraguptas father,.

Suryagupta, sharing an intimate moment with his wife, Moora, Chandraguptas (or Chandras) mother.

The couple (Suryagupta and Moora) then are shown dropping by the kingdom of Magadh where they meet with the king and queen of the Magadh kingdom like old friends.

From here on, the show takes a rather dramatic turn where Moora is molested by one of the staff members of the Magadh kingdom.

The queen of Magadh, Avantika, learns of this misdeed from Moora and decides to punish the culprit; the molester gets whipped.

Later, it is shown that Avantika is actually having an affair with the eve-teaser-in-question, Nandh.

It is also revealed that Magadh queens nine children have been fathered by Nandh.

Suryagupta learns of this truth, but Avantika and Nandh catch him eavesdropping,.

and Nandh rushes to kill him so that the ugly truth does not come out in the open.

The show ends there.

Obviously, both Chandra and Nandni, aka Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu Prasad, do not make an appearance in the first episode of the show.

The good.

The actors are not that bad; in fact, they are pretty okay.

They fit their roles and do what is required of them, without getting too carried away by their larger-than-life characters.

Also, the first episode has a good enough cliff-hanger, which is good news,.

because now we want to know if the truth about Queen Avantikas affair actually gets out.

The bad.

As we said in the beginning, everyone will have a really tough time buying what the show is trying to sell about Chandragupta Maurya.

Not to mention, the fact about Queen Avantikas illegitimate children, that too nine of them with a guy called Nandh,.

who likes to leer on pregnant bathing women, by the way.

Even if there was some truth to the story, the way the whole thing has been translated on screen reeks of scandalous and loud sub-plots of the saas-bahu dramas.

Also, tacky visual effects.

We know we are not America and cant spend millions of Dollars on visual effects to make everything look genuine,.

but there are a few shots of the Maurya palace that make it look unreal (not in a good way).

The palace looks super-animated, like it has just been put on the screen as an afterthought.

All in all, not the greatest first episode, but masala lovers are going to have a fun time watching the show.

We are still hopeful.

Maybe Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu Prasad can salvage the show in some way with their acting skills.

Fingers crossed!.

ACCA F9 Online lecture: Working Capital Cycle (Video 1) - Duration: 9:57.

Hello everybody and welcome to really important, it comes up all the time in the

exam, the management of working capital okay. And all working capital is, our

current assets and current liabilities what goes into current assets? Things

like inventory, receivables and what goes into current liabilities: payables, okay

and of course we could have cash that bank or we could have an overdraft okay.

And it's just how we manage these, you know

and how we manage these all depends on our focus. Is it on profitability or is

it on liquidity. Okay liquidity means I want cash

desperately okay so you think about this right.

You're in a business and you want to be really really

profitable but you're not too worried about being liquid, you're not too

worried about getting lots of cash in and so therefore what will you do with

receivables if you were aiming to be profitable okay. Would they be high or

low? Now well, what you want to be profitable

is lots and lots of sales and one way to attract customers is to say: don't pay me

for another six months, okay, that will attract more customers

and will make you more profitable because you have more sales, you haven't any

cash, you have to go to liquidity so your liquidity or your cash will be low

but your profitability will be high okay. Now if you were focused on the other

hand on liquidity saying look I really really need money to keep my business

going you won't have any receivables you'll say like you have to pay me now

so high receivables would mean you're focusing on profitability and low

receivables policy you would mean you're focusing on liquidity. Think about it with

inventory. If you wanted to be really profitable you want to make sure you've

always got stock to sell! So high inventory would make sure you're

profitable, but always having stock to sell means you

gonna you gonna have that cash tied up in stock so high inventory would mean

also yeah high inventory would mean you have very little money so you wouldn't be

focusing on liquidity. Low stock is when you're focusing on liquidity okay and

it's the opposite way round for payables. Right but we'll come back to that in the

next session. I just wanted to mention it now this really important thing on

working capital management is your focus on profitability or liquidity. Anyway

moving on. Let's say, right that we buy something. Now when we buy something it

goes into inventory okay and then we sell it and I'm presuming we sell on

credit here when we sell it it goes into receivables okay and then we get the

cash we receive cash, thank you very much okay. Now because I bought something I

also have to pay for we don't I, so maybe maybe I get some good credit terms

so my payables is quite long but still I have to pay cash here now can you see

the problem with this working capital management is that I'm receiving cash

here later then I'm paying the cash here so in order to pay the cash here I need

to get some money someone received anything yet

so this period of time, here, I don't have any cash to pay my creditors and I've

got to pay my creditors so I'm gonna get this cash from somewhere and that needs

funding. The working capital funding problem.

That's what generally happens is your inventory and your receivables are

bigger than your payables. Not always, you can have a negative one which is great

news but generally that's what happen, you have to pay people before you

actually receive the cash so obviously you're gonna receive more cash than you

going to pay, so you are going to be profitable but you need to fund it.

And remember what we're saying if you're focusing on profitability, your inventory

days would be really big because you want to make sure that there's stop

there. And your receivable days will be really big because you want to try and

get customers in okay and so therefore this funding problem, if you're focusing

on profitability, gets even bigger okay. Not so bad if you are focusing on liquidity

because your inventory days will be small your receivables will be small, your

payable days will be big, you'll have no problem. So this is generally a problem

when you're focusing on profitability okay. Now I just want to write that out

in a different way. So same idea, we call this by the way "the working capital

cycle" or "the cash operating cycle", "cash management cycle" sometimes and so it's

basically your inventory days - how long it's in inventory plus your receivable

days - how long it's in receivables

- the fact that you don't have to pay people immediately that's good so - your

payable days, that's how long needs funding, that's that figure there okay.

Now that will need funding out of an overdraft or long term loans okay and

the way we do that again will depend on things as we'll see later. We'll need

funding out of long term loans now the only other question then is well how do

I calculate these 3 things. Well I left days out there - at the end on

purpose because how many days are in a year? Hopefully you know, 365. Well then you

say right, take my inventory which is what I wanna calculate. Now where is that on

my income statement, where's the opposite side? Cost of sales, receivables, let's say

that, where is the opposite side of that on the income

statement - sales. Credit sales and then payable days, take my payables,

where's the opposite side of that on the income statement - purchases or credit

purchases. Now in this exam it's easy we just put it to cost of sales okay.

So what it is it's that plus that minus that okay and that will give you the

working capital cycle that will need funding okay. You can do more questions

in a little mini sessions coming up, I'm not worried with questions yet, I'll

leave those to you. Okay now, obviously you want that to be as small as possible

but my question is really why might that be high? Okay why might that be high,

well if that's high it means - that must be high, that must be high and that must

be low (generally). So high plus high - a low would give me a headache it would

give me a big amount of time to fund so why might that happen? Because that

seems ridiculous when I always wanna have them low. Well as we said, firstly is that

my focus was on profitability not, hopefully, can remember, not liquidity

I was just focused on being profitable so I got lots of stock in, I got lots of

credit days, I gave them away, I gave up big creditors with lots of receivables

okay. Another reason why it might be that

might just be poor management, inefficient management of working capital,

okay. I wasn't keeping my eye on the stock levels and didn't really care, I was

letting people pay me whenever. So poor management of working capital that will

also result in a high amount of time with no cash that needs funding. And the

other one will be the nature of the business because you think about this

okay I am going to give you 2 businesses: a construction company

and a supermarket. Which one of them, one of them has a high working capital

funding problem and the other one has a low one so they'll give a construction

company? Will they have lots of inventory, yes they will, you know,

because they're building something for a long time they tend to not get paid to

later, do they, so they'll have a loads of stock, loads of receivables until they

eventually get paid so this would be high. Where's the supermarket, yes, they

have lots of inventory but they turn it over really quickly generally and they

will have no receivables because generally you just pay them cash, don't you,

so a supermarket wouldn't have a high cash operation cycle generally they'll

have a very very low one okay. All right yeah, so on the other sessions we'll have,

we are gonna be doing some figures on this and and focusing a bit more on how we

fund it and the costs of funding, all right?
