and today we are making a video about the true, true, TRUEEEE stereotypes about JAPAN
on Yuriko's channel you can find the FALSE stereotypes
we are gonna do more twin video if you'll like them
let's start with the first one
shall I read that? we have here a list that I've beautiful wrote before coming here (it's not beautiful, it's terrible)
you should had wrote it in Japanese, it would had been easier to read
one of the first stereotype about Japan, is that Japanese people take off their shoes when they walk inside a house
this is true, super true
Japanese people take off their shoes all the time, they even take off their shoes to go inside some resturant or some special tables in some resturants
yes this rule exists
however the thing that has surprised me the most about Japanese people is the speed! they can take off their shoes in a second
yes, ok, but they are born doing this, it's in their culture that they have to take their shoes of in less than 3 seconds
when I walk inside a house I always want to be the last one to get in cos I don't want have any japanese waiting for me, and it happens to all the foreigns in Japan I think
in 4 years she hasn't learn how to do it, and neither did I
yes, it's not our DNA, however I have to say that I like this about Japan
because my mum always wanted me to take off my shoes before walking into the house and that's my house has always been pretty clean
and that's where your passion for Japan has started

we are more use to drink beer and alcohol
but for most of japanese one beer is enough to go CRAZY

and sometime they say they are strong... so its will take them 2 beers
in Japan I'm having a hard time gettingdrunk,
I really have to drink a lot
because their drink are usually very weak when it comes to alcohol %, mostly you drink becasically water
and the often faint on the streets and metro on weekends
and you almost want to help them, but here is actually pretty normal
trains are never late, but most importantly Japanese people sleep on train all the time
however when they get to their stop they wake up right the way
they have their own brain alarm, i just can't
i think if I would sleep on YAMANOTE line i would sleep for a few lap
me too, but in japan you see them like this

they can also do make up on the train, can you?
but actually now it's consider rude to do it
that's true, but sometime you still see some people doing it

yes, i'm a perfect japanese
there were also some posters before that they were telling you to do it at home
anyway even if they do makeup you would think they have a little mirror to do it and they just do some simple makeup, no no no they have a mirror this big
and thye do everything from scratch
if you have a small one is not a big deal, you can also use your phone to fix some mino things
but to be honest the first time I was in japan during my first 3 months when i didn't know you weren't supposed to do it,
my makeup almost felt on another passengers and I could had ruin her dress
so it's fair, you should do it at home to avoid bothering other people
there are a lot of rules on to follow on the train in japan, that's why they are so amazing
japanese peopel they never steal anything

have you ever lost something in japan?
yes, i've lost my wallent in a very popular and crowded department store
but i've found it hours late in the same place with all the money still inside
if they find it usually they bring it to the police station
they really never still anything, maybe the umbrellas sometimes
really? yes, but that's because they are all alike
but anyway they dont really steal it cos they want to steal it they my take it by mistake
i've lost 1 yen and also 10.000 yen (100usd) but they run to you to bring it back to you
that's wonderful
i've lost a lot of things in japan but i've always find them
so they don't steal anything and if you lose something go t the police station or train station and thye might have it
I wish italian people would be more like this
it's also a cultural difference
it's about luck
in japan if you find money and you keep them, you have already use your luck
it's like a circle, so if you instead you return the money, you will get something even better in the future
one euro one change your life, but it will change your karma
i belive in that in that! I also do!

the next one is really true and who had live in japan must know, but this can also been said about italian people
no no no no we not as bad, i say i don't speak english
and that's true cos my level is very low
however the next poin is that most of japanese people do not speak english
but not that they don't know english like my low level

I don't speak english but a tiny bit of discussion i could do it
japanese people can't
but they are much better at writing english, cos their writting is pretty good
but they don't speak, really 0
i swear, maybe they are too shy
maybe because they use the KATAKANA alphabet
that they make english words sound a little different, such as PERSONAL COMPUTER

Xiaomi Mi Note 3 Camera Test: Real Photos and Videos - Duration: 5:58.
Hey whats up!
This is Tech Brothers.
I already tested the camera of Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and now I want show you real photos and
videos.
First of all, the photos are great!
Yes, they are really good, maybe even better than Mi6 and Mi Mix 2.
Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has the same 12-megapixel dual rear camera, as Mi 6.
There is wide-angle lens included on the back of this phone (main camera), and a telephoto
lens.
Mi Note 3 camera is capable to capture images with a nice bokeh effect.
On the front panel there is 16-megapixel camera.
Xiaomi Mi Note 3 comes with fimilar camera app.
It is very simple and useful.
Here you can choose different modes and settings, for example, Panorama, Beautify, and manual
mode with white balance, ISO, etc.
Also, you can choose photo and video resolution, and even slow-motion videos at 720p.
So, let's look at real photos.
As you know, the camera takes best photos in good lighting, and Mi Note 3 is not exception.
The images have good details, colors look nice and noise reduction is pretty good.
Also, you can have god bokeh effect thanks to the bright lens.
Camera has 2x lossless zoom mode.
The secondary camera allows to take photos with zoom without quality loss.
The results are really good, much better than using digital zoom.
If we talk about shooting in low-light, then Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is also good.
However, it is expected that photos have less details and little more noise.
It is not a fault of Mi Note 3, because all phone cameras have this problem.
The front
camera also takes good-looking photos.
You can use bokeh effect to blur the background, but sometimes it looks a bit unnatural.
What about video recording?
Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is able to record 4k video.
The quality is great.
The footage is detailed and auto-focus works well.
There are some video artifacts, but in general, the video looks great.
So, Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has very good camera.
Despite the lower price, this smartphone has the same camera, as Mi6 and Mi Mix 2.
Daylight photos are detailed, clear, saturated colors.
Night photos have a little less details, but this is typical for all modern smartphones.
Also, I like 2X lossless zoom and bokeh effect.
If the camera is an important part of smartphone for you, then Xiaomi Mi Note 3 does not disappoint
you.

Fire Ants galore!
Check out our Fire Nation, our huge colony of red tropical fire ants.
They've officially moved into their new formicarium from last week's video and boy, is it busy
in there!
For the first time in almost a year, we get to see what happens inside an ants' nest,
but my main goal today is to try to spot the queen ant.
We also will be voting for an official name for this new Fire Nation lair.
You won't want to miss this epic fire ant queen hunt, as we scour the chambers and tunnels,
sort through the young, and attempt to locate the mother of this massive colony, in this
episode of the AntsCanada Ant Channel.

So in case you didn't tune in to our last video, we recently introduced some fresh territory
to the Fire Nation here.
We added our new AC Hybrid Nest 2.0 to their current living network of tubes, tubs, and
outworlds.
It was an incredible and hi-tech addition to their home and they began to establish
highways within the new nest.
So let's check up on their progress one week later, shall we?

Check out all those ants!
They really love this new nest.
Alright, AC Family before we continue, I have placed my top 5 picks from your name suggestions

Also by the way AC Family, I know all too well, how sharp some of your eyes are at catching

Isn't it just incredible how many ants have managed to pack themselves in here.

The Fire Nation is truly majestic.
This nest is absolutely alive and active!
The fire ants enter and exit the nest through an opening here... and here...
Check out how heavily guarded each of these nest openings are.
It's important that there are large groups of ants simply waiting around the exists ready
to engage in battle at a single alarm because inside the nest lays the valuable young and
their queen, possibly.
And if she is in here, I'm determined to find her.
Let's check the rooms!
Look at that flow of workers.
Amazing to watch them follow organized highways and not simply march everywhere randomly.
It's great traffic efficiency.
In this chamber you will see a huge brood pile.
Those whitish things that look like rice are all pupae, teenage ants in their developmental
stage prior to becoming full-grown, fully formed ants.
They are immobile and helpless and rely on the workers to care and transport them during
this period of their lives.
They remain in this phase for several days and then become workers that survive for about
3 weeks to a month.
The total lifespan of a worker ant is actually about 1-2 months.
This means then that every couple of months the colony you see in these videos will all
be dead and will have been replaced with new workers.
Every couple of months this fire ant colony is a new colony, except for one member.
The queen.
I don't see her here.
Do you?
The queen is the only one who survives for many years.
The record for a queen ant in captivity is almost 30 yrs.
Talk about the saying "Long Live the Queen!"
Here is another brood room, also mostly pupae.
Though it may seem like the pupae are the most abundant form of brood in this nest,
don't be fooled.
There are also lots of eggs and larvae stashed around in this nest, but because they are
smaller and less conspicuous they're easier to hide away.
Here is one such room.
Workers have decided to fill this room with larvae of different stages and probably lots
of eggs, as well.
The larvae and eggs also depend on the workers, who by the way are their sisters, to care,
feed, and transport them around.
Wanna hear something amazing about the larvae, AC Family?
Each larvae is fed and as it grows, its waste collects inside its body and then only right
before it pupates to become a pupa, it finally releases the built up poop, in a fecal pellet
known as a meconium.
Yes, ant babies only poop once in their entire lives and it is all in a compact fecal pellet
which actually remains attached to the pupa shell.
This is evolutionary brilliance, because inside an ant nest where there are many members,
and it is moist, things can get dangerously infested with bacteria and mold, so having
that one meconium per larva and having it packaged up on the outside of the pupa means
ant baby poop isn't just sitting around.
Everything is sterile and it's truly an amazing biological ant feature.
Let's continue looking for our queen.
Check out this huge room and all the brood in here.
Something tells me if our queen is in this formicarium, she would be hiding somewhere
here.
I don't think the queen would be near any of the entrances as this would be dangerous
for her.
She's got to be in the heart of the nest somewhere.
There are some rooms of the nest which the ants have not occupied.
This room here has been elected the bathroom of the colony.
Ants enter and leave as needed.
Some privacy please!
These rooms lead to one of the water test tubes.
Not too many drinking from this one.
But this one is a popular watering hole it seems.
Perhaps they're trying to keep the second test tube as clean as possible by drinking
first from this test tube.
Who knows?
Here you will see one of the highway crossroads within the nest.
Ants in this area are moving in all directions.
Each of those ants are on their own missions.
To be honest I really miss watching the action inside the nest.
It's just as interesting as watching external ant activity in their outworlds.
Now you might notice that some of the brood are yellowish orange in colour.
These are the pupae that are ready to ecolse, meaning the adult ants are ready emerge from
their pupal stage.
Newly formed adults start off as a yellowish orange colour then overtime, as their exoskelton
hardens turn a dark red colour.
This process is called tanning.
Check out this room.
This is one of the rooms with the perforrated floors, allowing for the humidity to enter
the nest from below.
The Hybrid Nest's hydration chambers are beneath the nest, as you may have seen in our previous
video.
The ants make sure not to cover this too much to allow for the moisture to enter the nest.
I continued to check out the rooms as closely as I could, but could not find the queen.
What I'm looking for is a larger ant with a fat gaster, the technical term for the abdomen
or ant butt, as well as a cohort of worker ants around her.
Often she is seen as a head and thorax and a swelling of worker ants around her gaster.
It's a bit difficult to find the queen because they hide her well, but also, it's easy to
mistaken the majors as a queen.
The ants with the massive heads are the majors, specialized workers at cutting things open
with their huge, muscled mandibles.
I find the omnipresence of the majors makes finding the queen a bit challenging.
I truly love this nest and in the past several months have been housing my ant colonies in
natural nests, but with this dirtless formicarium I can actually come super close to the ants
and not bother them nor have to worry about being stung.

smack that like button, I certainly am. We're going to explain
all of this first and then show you footage of the upgraded troops and
defenses so as you can see here first thing the Bomb Tower is getting an
upgrade to level 6. It just looks so much more meatier doesn't it. It looks so much
more powerful there and it really will pack that extra punch so the
ground-based attacks will have to fight especially them mass armies of Miners or
Hog Riders will have to fight through this extra bomb tower level. If we flip
across to the air part here then, you can see a red banner to really show how
powerful the level 7 Air Sweeper is. So not only do the ground defenses get a
little bit of a boost the air defenses, in terms of the air sweeper, especially
against them dragon attacks which are very very popular right now and the
lavaloon attacks will have to fight that little bit harder. Let me know in the
comments what you think about these changes how will you counteract this and
one thing we get from an offensive side of things are extra troop levels guys, so
you can see, look at that Golem it looks fantastic doesn't it with all of them
purple crystals. The Golem is such a versatile troop isn't it, it's used in so
many strategies to break in as part of a kill squad and that extra health and
damage from that Golem will sure to help us
out. Let me know what you're thinking about this but as you can see as well,
the Valkyries here are getting upgraded to level 6. So the Golem goes up to level
7, the Valkyries go up to a maximum level of level 6 and they get a brand new
helmet as a visual change. Now a little while ago the Valkyries in these Mass
Valkyrie attacks used to be very very popular but they've kind of ... I mean
they still definitely have a place in the game but you don't see them as often,
will this boost bring the Valkyries back guys, let me know what you think down in
the comments section. One more upgrade then we'll get into some gameplay of
these updated troops, the level 12 walls you can now upgrade 25 more wall pieces
to that max level, so again a little bit of a boost there, for the defensive side of
things and that is it for sneak peek number one, so guys let's show you some
footage, I've kind of cooked up three of the level 7 Golems and 18 of the level 6
Valkyries, we'll get in and just have a bit of fun, let you see them attack that
brand-new bomb tower as well, but guys if you just wanted to know what is coming
there you have it make sure to subscribe to the channel for all of the latest
information and let's see if we can find an attack in order to just show you
these troops, so we'll be back in a second guys. Ok guys so we have found my good
friend cast and blast here on the developer build, it is a townhall 10 that
he has but again we're not really having any sort of strategy here I'm just gonna
throw this level 7 Golem and the level 6 Valkyries in so you can see them in
action. Let's just put the jump spells in towards the Town Hall, I'm gonna come in
from that update side, we had the South Area didn't we already there for the
update and let's just bring the rest of the troops in, make a little bit of a
funnel with the Valkyries on the outside but checkout the
brand new Golems coming forward along with the Valkyries, let's get a rage spell
in and look at them go, just tearing up this base. Let's use the grand wardens
ability to, well they saved like two Valkyries didn't it, it didn't do too
much there guys, but again I just want to show... look at that one getting onto the
Queen there, trying to go solo and take the Town Hall down, the Valkyries running
around the outside there taking out the defenses quite nicely, or check out
these golems in the middle then, level seven Golems, the amount of damage that
they are taking and it doesn't look like we're gonna get the townhall, didn't have
the best of funnel there, I don't know where my queen is I have no clue, just watching
these level 7 golems as the enemy king and queen absolutely batter into them, but
it gives you a little bit of an idea as to how well they do in terms of taking
damage. Queen on the outside there she's not gonna get anything we've already got
the 50%, but I hope that showed you them in action, again didn't really have any
strategy there so please forgive me for that one guys, but let me know what you

OR MOST IMPORTANTLY "HOW DO I KNOW THERE IS A GOD?"
A QUESTION LIKE THAT IS SO INTRICATE AND IN-DEPTH,
HOW DO YOU EVEN BEGIN TO ANSWER IT?
CS LEWIS COMMENTS ON THIS IMPORTANT QUESTION SAYING,
"MY ARGUMENT AGAINST GOD WAS THAT THE UNIVERSE
SEEMED SO CRUEL AND UNJUST.
BUT HOW HAD I GOT THIS IDEA OF JUST AND UNJUST?
A MAN DOES NOT CALL A LINE CROOKED UNLESS HE HAS SOME
IDEA OF A STRAIGHT LINE."
SIMPLY PUT, IF THERE WASN'T A GOD, THEN HOW
WOULD WE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD
AND EVIL, RIGHT AND WRONG?
DR. KENNEDY POSES THIS VERY QUESTION AND ANSWERS

MAY WE HEAR THE INSPIRED WORD OF THE LIVING GOD.
AND MAY GOD SPEAK TO US TODAY THROUGH THIS PORTION
OF HIS HOLY WORD, AND MAY HIS NAME EVER BE PRAISED.
AMEN.
THERE IS NO MORE PROFOUND QUESTION THAT YOU CAN ASK
THAN THIS: IS THERE A GOD?
MORTIMER ADLER, THE FAMOUS SCHOLAR AND EDUCATOR,
EDITOR OF THE GREAT BOOKS OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION,
SAYS IN HIS GREAT IDEAS SYNTOPICON, WHICH IS THE
TOPICAL INDEX FOR THE GREAT BOOKS, HE SAYS THAT
ALMOST EVERY WRITER IN WESTERN CIVILIZATION HAS
WRITTEN ON THE SUBJECT OF GOD WITH THE EXCEPTION OF
A FEW PURE MATHEMATICIANS.
THE CHAPTER ON GOD IS THE LARGEST IN THESE VOLUMES.
"THE REASON FOR THAT," HE SAYS, "IS OBVIOUS."
THAT IS THAT MORE CONSEQUENCES FOR THOUGHT
AND ACTION RESULT FROM THE AFFIRMATION OR DENIAL OF
GOD THAN FROM ANY OTHER BASIC QUESTION."
INDEED, THE ENTIRE TENOR OF OUR LIVES WILL BE
COMPLETELY AFFECTED BY THE ANSWER THAT WE GIVE.
TODAY, I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO YOU ON WHAT MAY
SEEM TO SOME TO BE AN AUDACIOUS SUBJECT, AND
THAT IS, HOW I KNOW THAT THERE IS A GOD.
NOW, IN AN AGE WHEN MANY PEOPLE FEEL THAT YOU CAN'T
KNOW ANYTHING, TO SAY THAT I KNOW THAT THERE IS A
GOD, OF ALL THINGS, WOULD SEEM TO THEM TO BE UTTERLY
PREPOSTEROUS, BUT I BELIEVE THAT IT IS NOT.
I THINK THAT THE SCRIPTURE VERY CLEARLY TELLS US THAT
WE CAN KNOW GOD.
IN FACT, IT SAYS THIS IS ETERNAL LIFE THAT YOU MAY
KNOW GOD, THE ONLY TRUE GOD IN JESUS CHRIST WHOM
HE HATH SENT.
SO, HOW DO I KNOW THERE IS A GOD?
LET ME SET FORTH SEVERAL CLASSIC ARGUMENTS FOR THE
EXISTENCE OF GOD BROUGHT UP TO DATE IN LIGHT OF
SOME MODERN SCIENTIFIC FINDINGS THAT CERTAINLY
HAVE AN IMPACT UPON THEM.
ONE OF THE OLDEST, OF COURSE GOING ALL THE WAY
BACK TO ARISTOTLE, IS CALLED THE COSMOLOGICAL
ARGUMENT.
THE COSMOLOGICAL ARGUMENT IS BASICALLY AN ARGUMENT
THAT SAYS THAT FOR EVERY EFFECT THERE MUST BE AN
ADEQUATE CAUSE.
YOU CAN REMEMBER THE COSMOLOGICAL ARGUMENT IS
AN ARGUMENT FROM CAUSE.
IT MIGHT HELP YOU TO REMEMBER THAT THEY BOTH
BEGIN WITH "C"- CAUSE AND COSMOLOGICAL: COSMOLOGICAL
SIMPLY MEANS THE STUDY OF THE COSMOS, THE UNIVERSE.
IF WE ARE LOOKING FOR ARGUMENTS OR PROOFS FOR
THE EXISTENCE OF GOD, THEN WE DON'T HAVE TO LOOK
UNDER A TABLE OR IN A CORNER SOMEWHERE.
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK ABOUT YOU.
THE UNIVERSE IS THE BIGGEST THING THAT THERE
IS, PHYSICALLY, AND IN ITSELF IS THE GREATEST
PROOF FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD.
THIS HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED FROM THE VERY BEGINNING
OF THINKING MEN.
THE UNIVERSE IS THE GREATEST, LARGEST ARGUMENT
FOR GOD.
NOTICE, IF THE UNIVERSE EXISTS, AND WE ALL AGREE
THAT IT DOES, THEN THERE ARE ONLY THREE
EXPLANATIONS FOR IT.
ONE, IT IS ETERNAL.
NOW, THERE WAS A TIME WHEN THERE WERE MEN THAT
BELIEVED THAT, BUT WITH MODERN SCIENTIFIC
DISCOVERIES, IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO BELIEVE
THAT.
SCIENTISTS, FOR THE LAST 150 YEARS HAVE BEEN
SCURRYING AROUND TRYING TO AVOID THE PLAIN
IMPLICATIONS OF THE MODERN LAWS THAT THEY HAVE
DISCOVERED THAT CLEARLY INDICATE THE UNIVERSE IS
NOT ETERNAL.
THE GREAT LAW, WHICH IS THE MOST THOROUGHLY
DOCUMENTED OF ALL OF THE LAWS OF SCIENCE,
THE SECOND LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS, THE LAW OF
ENTROPY, WHICH SAYS THAT EVERYTHING IS RUNNING
DOWN.
EVERYTHING IS LOSING ENERGY.
EVERYTHING IS WEARING OUT- GROWING OLD.
SO, IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT IF THE UNIVERSE WERE
ETERNAL, IT WOULD ALREADY HAVE RUN DOWN.
THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING HAS A TENDENCY
TO DISTRIBUTE ITS HEAT EQUALLY INTO ALL PARTS OF
THE UNIVERSE.
THE UNIVERSE RIGHT NOW IS TRYING TO MAKE EVERY
SQUARE FOOT OF THE UNIVERSE THE SAME
TEMPERATURE, SO THE SUNS ARE GETTING COOLER AND THE
SPACE IS GRADUALLY RECEIVING MORE AND MORE
ENERGY.
AS IF, IF YOU WERE TO SET A GLASS OF HOT WATER AND A
GLASS OF FREEZING COLD WATER DOWN ON A TABLE AND
COME BACK IN A DAY, YOU WOULD FIND THAT THEY WOULD
BOTH BE THE SAME TEMPERATURE.
AND SO IT WILL BE ULTIMATELY, IF THE
UNIVERSE CONTINUES LONG ENOUGH.
THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WOULD BE THE SAME TEPID
TEMPERATURE.
THERE WOULD BE NO FREEZING SPACE, THERE WOULD BE NO
BLAZING SUN.
YET, THE UNIVERSE HAS NOT RUN DOWN, THEREFORE, IT IS
NOT ETERNAL.
EFFORTS RECENTLY TO HAVE AN OSCILLATING UNIVERSE TO
AVOID THIS HAVE ALL FALLEN AFOUL OF RECENT SCIENTIFIC
DISCOVERIES WHICH MAKE IT ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT
THE UNIVERSE CANNOT BE ETERNAL.
SECOND POSSIBILITY- IF IT'S NOT ETERNAL, MAYBE IT
IS SELF-CREATED- THAT IT CREATED ITSELF OUT OF
NOTHING.
WELL, THERE IS ANOTHER SCIENTIFIC LAW, SOMETIMES
EXPRESSED IN THIS WAY, "EX NIHILO, NIHIL FIT," WHICH
MEANS, "OUT OF NOTHING, NOTHING COMES."
NOTHING PRODUCES NOTHING, AND THE UNIVERSE CANNOT
HAVE PRODUCED ITSELF OUT OF NOTHING.
IN FACT, THAT FLIES INTO THE FACE OF THE FIRST LAW
OF THERMODYNAMICS WHICH SAYS PRECISELY THAT-
THAT NOTHING PRODUCES NOTHING.
A THIRD POSSIBILITY IS THAT IT WAS CREATED BY
SOMEONE WHO IS HIMSELF ETERNAL, AND THAT IS THE
FIRST STATEMENT OF THE BIBLE THAT "IN THE
BEGINNING, GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH."
THAT IS THE MOST SCIENTIFIC STATEMENT THAT
HAS EVER BEEN MADE ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF THE
UNIVERSE.
SO IN LIGHT OF ALL OF THE MODERN DISCOVERIES ABOUT
THE UNIVERSE, IT IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY
CLEAR THAT THE UNIVERSE ITSELF IS A GREAT ARGUMENT
FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD.
EVEN DR. ROBERT JASTROW, ONE OF THE LEADING SPACE
SCIENTISTS IN THE WORLD, THE HEAD OF THE US
INSTITUTE FOR SPACE STUDIES, THE FOUNDER AND
HEAD OF THE GODDARD SPACE INSTITUTE FOR NASA, I HAVE
HAD DINNER WITH DR. JASTROW AND WE HAVE
DISCUSSED THESE THINGS, AND HE HAS SAID IN HIS
WRITINGS, THAT MODERN SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES

STILL, FROM A COSMOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE, AS THE CAUSE
OF LIFE, WHERE DID THIS LIFE COME FROM?
THE WORLD TEEMS WITH LIFE.
THIS SANCTUARY IS PACKED WITH LIVING CREATURES.
WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?
WELL, IT USED TO BE HELD THAT LIFE AROSE BY
SPONTANEOUS GENERATION- FLIES, MAGGOTS COMING INTO
EXISTENCE ON PUTRID MEAT, AND FROGS COMING OUT OF
THE SLIME OF BOGS.
WELL, THAT WAS PROVED TO BE FALSE BY PASTEUR AND
REDDI.
AND SO THAT WAS ABANDONED- THAT LIFE WAS NOT COMING
INTO EXISTENCE FROM NON-LIFE TODAY AND SO THEY
RETREATED TO THE DIM PAST.
AND THEY SAID THAT THOUGH LIFE IS NOT SPONTANEOUSLY
COMING INTO EXISTENCE TODAY, IT DID DO SO
MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO- IN FACT, 2 BILLION YEARS AGO,
THEY LIKE TO SAY.
VERY INTERESTINGLY, THE DISCOVERIES THAT HAVE
TAKEN PLACE IN THE LAST DECADE OR SO HAVE SHOWN
THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF THAT HAPPENING.
FOR EXAMPLE, PROTEIN WHICH NOT TOO MANY YEARS AGO WAS
THE MOST COMPLEX SUBSTANCE KNOWN TO MAN, PROTEIN
MOLECULES BY THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS GO TO MAKE UP
A CELL.
AND THEY THEMSELVES ARE SO COMPLEX- SO DIFFERENT FROM
THE WORLD OF CHARLES DARWIN, 150 YEARS 25 OR 30
YEARS AGO, WHO FREQUENTLY TALKED ABOUT A SIMPLE
SINGLE CELL.
WE KNOW NOW THAT THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROTEIN
MOLECULE ITSELF IS SUCH THAT LECOMPTE DUNOUY, A
FRENCH NOBEL PRIZE WINNING MATHEMATICIAN AND ONE OF
THE WORLD'S GREAT EXPERTS IN PROBABILITY STUDIES,
SAID THAT THE PROBABILITIES OF EVEN ONE
PROTEIN MOLECULE, ONE OF THE THOUSANDS OF BUILDING
BLOCKS OF THE CELL COMING INTO EXISTENCE, IT WOULD
TAKE 10 TO THE 234 BILLION YEARS TO PRODUCE ONE
PROTEIN MOLECULE.

MEANS.
PROBABILITY EXPERTS HAVE SAID THAT IF THE
PROBABILITIES OF ANYTHING COMING INTO EXISTENCE ARE
GREATER THAN 10 TO THE 50TH POWER, IT WILL NEVER
HAPPEN ANYWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE, REGARDLESS OF
HOW MUCH TIME IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE
UNIVERSE, 10 TO THE 50TH.
TO SIMPLY GET ONE PROTEIN MOLECULE, 10 TO THE 234TH
POWER- NOT 234 BILLION, BUT 234 ZEROS BILLIONS
OF YEARS.
WELL, THEN THEY DISCOVERED SOMETHING EVEN MORE
COMPLEX- DNA.
DRS. WATSON AND CRICK DISCOVERED THE KEY, THE
CENTRAL BRAIN OF LIFE IN THE NUCLEUS OF A CELL, THE
DNA MOLECULE.
EVERY NUCLEUS OF EVERY CELL HAS THIS COMPLEX
DOUBLE HELIX, DOUBLE CIRCULAR STAIR TYPE OF
MOLECULE WHICH IS FILLED WITH THE MOST COMPLEX
THINGS.
IT IS SO COMPLEX THAT IF YOU TOOK EACH ONE OF
THOSE DNA MOLECULES OUT OF YOUR CELL AND STRETCHED
THEM OUT AND LINKED THEM TOGETHER, YOUR BODY HAS
ENOUGH DNA TO REACH FROM HERE TO THE SUN AND BACK
400 TIMES.
THAT IS SO COMPLEX THAT FRANCIS CRICK, WHO
DISCOVERED IT AND WHO IS AN ATHEIST, SAID THERE IS
NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT EVEN THE DNA MOLECULE COULD
EVER HAVE ARISEN IN THIS WORLD BY CHANCE IN EVEN
5 BILLION YEARS.
SO, HE SAID, IT MUST HAVE COME FROM SOME ADVANCED
BEINGS LIVING IN SOME OTHER PART OF THE GALAXY.
WHERE THOSE BEINGS CAME FROM, HE DIDN'T SAY.
THAT'S SIMPLY EXTENDING THE SHADOW, AN INFINITE
REGRESS IN LOGIC WHICH WILL NOT WORK.
MEANWHILE, SIR FRED HOYLE, ONE OF THE WORLD'S TWO
GREATEST MATHEMATICIANS AND ASTRONOMERS FROM
CAMBRIDGE, MADE A STUDY OF THE POSSIBILITY OF A CELL
COMING INTO EXISTENCE ANYWHERE IN THE ENTIRE
UNIVERSE IN THE WHOLE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE,
AND HE DISCOVERED THAT THE CHANCES WERE ZILCH.
10 TO THE 40,000TH POWER YEARS TO PRODUCE A CELL.
TEN WITH 40,000 ZEROES AFTER IT- IT WOULD TAKE

THIS IS THE ARGUMENT FROM ENDS OR PURPOSES OR
DESIGN- THE ARGUMENT FROM DESIGN, WHICH SAYS THAT
ALL THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE WE SEE EVIDENCE
OF DESIGN.
YOU LOOK AT A COMPLEX MACHINE AND YOU CONCLUDE
THAT IT HAS A DESIGNER.
THAT IS THE OLD WATCHMAKER ARGUMENT BROUGHT UP TO DATE.
EVEN IN THE DAYS OF THE GREAT ASTRONOMER KEPLER,
WHO HAD AN ACQUAINTANCE WHO WAS AN ATHEIST WITH
WHOM HE HAD ARGUED MANY A TIME, AND KEPLER DECIDED
TO HAVE BUILT FOR HIMSELF A COMPLEX WORKING MODEL OF
THE SOLAR SYSTEM.
WHICH HAD THE SUN, ALL OF THE PLANETS ROTATING ABOUT
IT, WITH THE MOONS OR SATELLITES GOING AROUND
THE DIFFERENT PLANETS.
IT WAS A WONDER TO BEHOLD.
ONE DAY HIS ATHEIST FRIEND CAME INTO HIS STUDY, HE
SAID, "IT'S BEAUTIFUL! WHO MADE THIS?"

IT IS A VERITABLE TOY COMPARED TO THE ENORMOUS
COMPLEXITY OF EVERY ONE OF THE HUNDRED TRILLION CELLS
IN YOUR BODY, AND YET WOULD ANYONE BELIEVE THAT
THE LARGEST COMPUTER IN THE WORLD JUST HAPPENED
TO MAKE ITSELF BY CHANCE?
IN FACT, ONE SCIENTIST SAID THAT THE CELL IS MORE
COMPLEX THAN THE MOST COMPLEX COMPUTER EVER MADE
BY MAN, OR THE MOST COMPLEX MACHINE THAT HAS
EVER EVEN BEEN DREAMT OF BY MAN.
THE INCREDIBLE COMPLEXITY OF THE EYE GAVE DARWIN,
