Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk about the Center for Open Science or COS.

This non-profit technology company's mission is "to increase openness, integrity, and

reproducibility of research."

They "envision a future scholarly community in which the process, content, and outcomes

of research are openly accessible by default...(with)…scholarly content preserved, connected, and versioned

to foster discovery, accumulation of evidence, and respect for uncertainty."

Their primary product is the Open Science Framework or OSF.

OSF is a free open source web tool that helps researches document their entire workflow

from start to finish in a collaborative space while making it easy for them to share some

or all of their project with others.

OSF has set of features that include the ability of researchers to: Organize their Projects,

manage complex projects easily, document their process, Register and share their work., and

Project analytics.

In 2016, COS also started offering preprint services or OSF Preprints, They have launched

five major new branded services--PsyArXiv, AgriXiv, SocArXiv, engrXiv and LawArXiv

OSF offers other services including OSF Meetings and OSF Institutions, and SHARE.

Founded in 2013, COS has been funded by many organizations, their primary funding has come

from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, with other support from DARPA, NIH, the National

Science Foundation and others.

Currently COS boasts, 60,000+ active users, 86,000 OSF projects, 2 million + indexed preprints,

5 million downloads, and over 700,000 monthly page views.

Impressive metrics.

They also have an impressive list of top journals using their all or part of their offerings.

Center for Open Science is one of the many ways scholarly publishing has changed over

the past 5 years, and undoubtedly will continue to change, for the better.

Well that's it.

I am a publishing consultant and work with associations, publishers, and individuals

on a host of content related challenges.

Democrats Just Realized They Now Have No Leverage Against Trump Over DACA

Now that Congress has passed a budget deal to boost defense, increase spending gaps and

lift the debt ceiling, Democrats are realizing they no longer can use a deal on the Deferred

Action for Childhood Arrivals program as leverage against President Donald Trump.

The bipartisan spending bill was passed early Friday morning after a brief government shutdown

overnight.

The new budget agreement includes $131 billion extra available for non-military spending,

according to Reuters, which incorporates $90 billion for disaster aid for U.S. states and

territories hit by hurricanes or wildfires last year.

The Democrats who voted against the bill disputed it because it didnt provide a comprehensive

plan for 800,000 illegal immigrants protected under DACA who were brought to the U.S. as

children.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., pointed out that the Democrats now have zero leverage on

immigration, according to the Washington Examiner.

The political party had used three leverage points for immigration in the past budget

caps, the debt ceiling and disaster aid but those are no longer available after the new

spending bill covered all three.

Gutierrez also said that the vote on implementing the new budget agreement next month does not

provide much hope in using any form of leverage unless those who voted yes turned around

and voted against the money being spent in that way.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi urged Democrats to oppose the new spending bill because it

didnt provide a resolution for thousands of dreamers, Politico reported.

Trump has given Congress a deadline of March 5 to pass new legislation for the DACA program.

Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., joined Pelosis opposition of the vote, according to the Washington

Examiner.

We have to be realistic, if this passes and theres no guarantee of a Dream Act

vote, then were going to have to deal with the reality that we have to find whatever

means possible to put pressure on Speaker Ryan and the Republican Party to bring a fair

vote on the Dream Act to the floor, Gallego said before the vote.

Despite the lack of a DACA resolution, 73 Democrats still voted to pass the spending

bill.

House Speaker Paul Ryan promised on Thursday that the House will solve this DACA problem.

We still have the most important leverage points, and thats the humanity of this

issue, Rep. Raul Grijalva said.

Instead of worrying about what legislative angle we have lets now concentrate on making

this a campaign that is both political and zeroed in on Ryan.

Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi added that the March 5 deadline is coming up really fast.

Im not hearing enough in the way of the president saying were going to delay

this deadline.

Hes leaving that very open, which means he wants to leave them exposed and in jeopardy.

According to Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley, the fate of the DACA recipients lies

with the publics opinion.

Well, I think we have the moral suasion of the American people, he said.

I think its moral suasion at this point.

Speaker said that well move on something, I dont know what that is.

What do you think?

Want to change the world? Start by being brave enough to care | Cleo Wade - Duration: 11:01.

My best friend recently had a baby.

And when I met him,

I was in awe of witnessing this tiny, beautiful being enter into our lives.

I also had this realization that he wasn't just entering our lives,

he was entering the world --

this crazy world that, especially now, feels so incredibly challenging.

I spend a lot time in my work talking to people about who we are,

who we must be

and what our healing looks like.

So the first time I held him,

I had my pep talk ready.

You know, I wanted him to know that the way we find our strength

is through our challenges.

I wanted him to know that we can all do something big

when we start small.

I wanted him to know that each of us is more resilient

than we could ever imagine.

So here I am holding little Thelonious.

I look down at him,

and it hits me:

he's a baby.

(Laughter)

He's not going to understand a single word I say to him.

So instead, I thought it would probably be a better idea

if I went home and wrote.

So, this is for grownups,

but it's also for Thelonious,

when he's old enough to read it:

The world will say to you,

"Be a better person."

Do not be afraid to say, "Yes."

Start by being a better listener.

Start by being better at walking down the street.

See people.

Say, "Hello."

Ask how they are doing and listen to what they say.

Start by being a better friend,

a better parent, a better child to your parents;

a better sibling, a better lover, a better partner.

Start by being a better neighbor.

Meet someone you do not know, and get to know them.

The world will say to you,

"What are you going to do?"

Do not be afraid to say,

"I know I can't do everything,

but I can do something."

Walk into more rooms saying,

"I'm here to help."

Become intimate with generosity.

Give what you can give, and do what you can do.

Give dollars, give cents, give your time,

give your love,

give your heart, give your spirit.

The world will say to you,

"We need peace."

Find your peace within,

hold it sacred,

bring it with you everywhere you go.

Peace cannot be shared or created with others

if we cannot first generate it within.

The world will say to you,

"They are the enemy."

Love enough to know

that just because someone disagrees with you,

it does not make them your enemy.

You may not win an argument,

you may not change a mind,

but if you choose to,

you can always achieve the triumph of radical empathy --

an understanding of the heart.

The world will say to you,

"We need justice."

Investigate.

Find truth beyond the stories you are told.

Find truth beyond the way things seem.

Ask, "Why?"

Ask, "Is this fair?"

Ask, "How did we get here?"

Do this with compassion.

Do this with forgiveness.

Learn to forgive others.

Start by truly learning how to forgive yourself.

We are all more than our mistakes.

We are all more than who we were yesterday.

We are all deserving of our dignity.

See yourself in others.

Recognize that your justice is my justice,

and mine is yours.

There can be no liberation for one of us if the other is not free.

(Applause)

The world will say to you,

"I am violent."

Respond by saying,

"I am not.

Not with my words and not with my actions."

The world will say to you,

"We need to heal the planet."

Start by saying, "No, thank you. I don't need a plastic bag."

Recycle, reuse.

Start by picking up one piece of trash on your block.

The world will say to you,

"There are too many problems."

Do not be afraid to be a part of the solutions.

Start by discussing the issues.

We cannot overcome what we ignore.

The more we talk about things,

the more we see that the issues are connected

because we are connected.

The world will say to you,

"We need to end racism."

Start by healing it in your own family.

The world will say to you,

"How do we speak to bias and bigotry?"

Start by having the first conversation at your own kitchen table.

The world will say to you,

"There is so much hate."

Devote yourself to love.

Love yourself so much that you can love others

without barriers and without judgment.

When the world asks us big questions that require big answers,

we have two options.

One: to feel so overwhelmed or unqualified, we do nothing.

Two: to start with one small act and qualify ourselves.

I am the director of national security,

and so are you.

Maybe no one appointed us and there were no senate confirmations,

but we can secure a nation.

When you help just one person to be more secure,

a nation is more secure.

With just one outstretched hand that says, "Are you OK?

I am here for you,"

we can transform insecurity into security.

We find ourselves saying to the world,

"What should I do?" "What should we do?"

The better question might be:

"How am I showing up?"

I ask the world for peace,

but do I show up with peace when I see my family and friends?

I ask the world to end hatred,

but do I show up with love not only for those I know,

but those I don't know?

Do I show up with love for those whose ideas conflict with my own?

I ask the world to end suffering,

but do I show up for those who are suffering on my street corner?

We say to the world,

"Please change; we need change."

But how do we show up to change our own lives?

How do we show up to change the lives of the people in our communities?

James Baldwin said, "Everything now, we must assume is in our own hands;

we have no right to assume otherwise."

This has always been true.

No one nominated Harriet Tubman to her purpose,

to her mission, to her courage.

She did not say, "I'm not a congressman

or the president of the United States,

so how could I possibly participate in the fight to abolish

a system as big as slavery?"

She instead spent 10 years making 19 trips,

freeing 300 people,

one group of people at a time.

Think about the children of those 300 people,

the grandchildren, the great-grandchildren and beyond.

Our righteous acts create immeasurable ripples

in the endless river of justice.

Whether it's Hurricane Katrina, Harvey, Irma or Maria, people did not say,

"There is so much damage. What should I do?"

They got to work on what they could do.

Those with boats got in their boats

and started loading in every woman, man and child they came across.

Near and far, people gave their dollars,

they gave their cents,

they gave their hearts,

they gave their spirit.

We spend so much time

thinking we don't have the power to change the world.

We forget that the power to change someone's life is always in our hands.

Change-making does not belong to one group of people;

it belongs to all of us.

You don't have to wait on anyone to tell you

that you are in this.

Begin.

Start by doing what you can with what you've got,

where you are

and in your own way.

We don't have to be heroes,

wear a uniform,

call ourselves activists

or get elected to participate.

We just have to be brave enough to care.

Now, around the time Thelonious was born,

I went to the birthday party of a man named Gene Moretti.

It was his 100th birthday,

which means he lived in the United States through the Depression, World War II,

the struggle for workers' rights,

the achievement of a woman's right to vote,

the Civil Rights Movement,

a man on the moon, the Vietnam War

and the election of the first black president.

I sat with him, and I said,

"Gene, you have lived in America for 100 years.

Do you have any advice during these current times?"

He smiled and said to me simply, "Yes.

Be good to as many people as possible."

And as he danced with my mother,

who is, by the way, half his age,

in a room full of generations of his family and hundreds of people,

many of whom traveled thousands of miles to be there to celebrate him,

I realized that he had not just given me advice,

he had given me the first step

that every single one of us is capable of making

if we want to create a real, wholehearted impact

on the world around us, right now.

"Be good to as many people as possible."

Thank you.

(Applause)

Why Does My Cat Bite Me? - Animal Facts - Duration: 4:12.

We've all had this happen.

You're just sitting there petting your kitty and he for reasons only apparent to him decides

to bite you.

It's common and if you have a cat, you know it's gonna happen, but why?

Let's find out.

This is the first in the series of videos we're simply calling, "Why Does My Cat..."

a look into cat behavior.

Hi, I'm Leroy and I'm Rosie and this is Animal Facts.

Let's get started.

But, before we start, take a moment to like and subscribe for more fun, fauna facts.

When trying to figure out why your cat bites you, the first thing is to distinguish between

aggressive cat biting and gentle bites (sometimes called "love bites.").

[Love bites] No!

We publish every Monday and Friday.

So, hit that notification icon to not miss a single fact.

The first is aggressive biting.

It can be painful and can lead to bleeding.

When a cat bites aggressively it is usually because they are feeling scared, or because

they are reacting to some sort of stimuli.

These types of bites often have to do with play aggression (playing too roughly,) territory

aggression, or a response based on early abuse that the cat may have endured.

Play aggression is the most common reason for cat bites to humans, particularly among

young cats.

Our cats are a part of our families, but your cat is still an animal and needs to play to

let out some of his excess energy, as well as to instinctually hone his natural hunting

skills.

Cats typically play with each other to practice their social skills and to work on their coordination,

too.

However, your cat may be the only cat in the household, so it makes sense that he needs

and wants to play with humans!

The problem occurs when your cat plays a bit too rough for your human skin.

Cats have a thick coat of fur, and will often bite, scratch and wrestle with each other.

This behavior comes naturally to your kitty, and he doesn't realize that you have sensitive

skin with no fur for protection.

The second type of bite is the less "ouchy" bites.

So-called "love bites".

[Love bites] … No, I said, no!

Love bites are actually a form of cat communication and typically occur when a cat is feeling

overstimulated or when he feels a strong bond with you.

These bites are typically gentler bites and don't break human skin.

Love bites are not typically painful (though they can be at times and depends on the cat).

These types of bites will often happen when a cat does not want to be pet anymore, when

he would like to be put back down, or when the cat is just beginning to feel a bit playful.

You can usually tell when you're about to get a love bite.

Just pay attention to your cat's tail!

If your cat's tail is swishing and low toward the ground, it's typically time to give him

some space!

Also watch out for the ears moving back toward the back of his head, which may mean that

he is about ready to bite.

Cats do give us signals when they are unhappy with us or have had enough, and it is up to

us to pay attention to them.

Some cats do not have much of a tolerance for petting, for instance, and we've got

to respect that.

Cats are intelligent, loving, wonderful pets.

Just don't forget that they are also animals and it is up to us as humans to work with

them in order to live in peace!

Cat bites are usually a form of communication, letting us know what a cat needs more or less

of.

Want more fun, fauna facts?

Go ahead and smash that subscribe button and hit the notification icon to not miss a single

fact.

works.

I don't want this time to be about me..

I want this time right here, winning the arnold classic, to be about us.

So this is just one.

For me this is where the HARD WORK begins.

Now that I know I CAN do it..

I gotta try to duplicate it and continue to PROGRESS and BE BETTER.

The person to beat, because of overall thickness and it's still muscle building show..

Is Josh Lenartowicz.

For me it's always just being better than last time.

If you're always better and better every time, sooner or later it's gonna pay off.

I'm definitely gonna be better than before.

I get better with every show, on this one there's gonna be no difference.

You don't go to the gym to train to be number 2..

You train your butt off to come here to be NUMBER 1.

I did everything I could have possibly done.. I've trained my A$$ off to be here and I'm READY.

One of my goals this year is to really just bring my conditioning to another level.

And see a different matured look on my muscle.

And I think the way we're training right now, is really tapping in to some muscle fibers

and changing the shape of my muscle as I'm coming down for the show..

That's something I'm seeing and the training style is what's helping me do that.

It's a relentless pursuit DAY IN and DAY OUT.

To say I wanna take my body to a level that most people will never do.

This way I think I will be in the best shape EVER.

Once it's showtime IT'S SHOWTIME.

Can we not take counsel together as we once did, my old friend?

Can we not have peace, you and I?

We shall have peace.

We shall have peace...

when you answer for the burning of the Westfold...

and the children that lie dead there!

We shall have peace when the lives of the soldiers...

whose bodies were hewn even as they lay dead...

against the gates of the Hornburg, are avenged!

When you hang from a gibbet for the sport of your own crows...

we shall have peace.

Gibbets and crows?

Dotard!

What do you want, Gandalf Greyhame?

Let me guess. The Key of Orthanc.

Or perhaps the Keys of Barad-dur itself...

along with the crowns of the seven kings and the rods of the Five Wizards!

Your treachery has already cost many lives.

Thousands more are now at risk.

But you could save them, Saruman.

You were deep in the enemy's counsel.

So you have come here for information.

I have some for you.

Something festers in the heart of Middle-earth.

Something that you have failed to see.

But the Great Eye has seen it.

Even now he presses his advantage.

His attack will come soon.

You're all going to die.

But you know this, don't you, Gandalf?

You cannot think that this Ranger will ever sit upon the throne of Gondor.

This exile, crept from the shadows, will never be crowned king.

Gandalf does not hesitate to sacrifice those closest to him...

those he professes to love.

Tell me, what words of comfort did you give the Halfling...

before you sent him to his doom?

The path that you have set him on can only lead to death.

I've heard enough!

Shoot him. Stick an arrow in his gob.

No.

Come down, Saruman...

- and your life will be spared. - Save your pity and your mercy.

I have no use for it!

Saruman...

your staff is broken.

Grima, you need not follow him.

You were not always as you are now.

You were once a Man of Rohan.

Come down.

A Man of Rohan?

What is the house of Rohan...

but a thatched barn where brigands drink in the reek...

and their brats roll on the floor with the dogs?

The victory at Helm's Deep does not belong to you, Theoden Horse-master.

You are a lesser son of greater sires.

Grima...

come down.

Be free of him.

- Free? He will never be free. - No.

Get down, cur!

Saruman!

You were deep in the enemy's counsel.

Tell us what you know!

You withdraw your guard, and I will tell you where your doom will be decided.

I will not be held prisoner here.

Jessica Biel and Rob Huebel Talk Heat in the Kitchen - Duration: 2:43.

- (sighs) Please remind me

never to go to Trader Joe's after 6 p.m.,

I literally had to fight

a Greenpeace volunteer for a parking space.

- You have to stop that.

You're gonna get in trouble. - I can't,

they're so green and peace-y.

- Alright, what do you want for dinner?

- Whatever works.

I just, I'm, gosh.

I'm so distracted about what happened last night.

- I know right?

- Yeah!

- The Property Brothers. - What?

- They were so good. - No.

- You know they're twins? - No, I know.

- You can barely tell them apart.

- No, no, no.

I'm talking about that when you were on top.

- Oh. - And I was like, boom.

Like, legs like,

bam, bam, hooves.

Like you're my Khaleesi and I'm like your dragon.

- Dragons don't have hooves.

- Yeah, but it's my fantasy so who cares?

That angle was awesome. - Mm-hmm.

- World class orgasm.

- You're welcome.

- World class.

Thank you.

- Yeah.

- So, what about you?

Is there anything you wanna tell me

about last night that you liked?

- Hold on.

Visual aid.

- Okay.

- Okay, do you remember that one part where

it was kinda like this and you were sort of like

- Tugging on your balls.

- Yes. - Mm-hmm.

- That part I liked, and then

you were also like doing this.

- The wrap around squeeze.

- Yes.

- Shaft grab.

- So good, what's it called?

- It's called the Van Damme.

- Oh my god, like Jean-Claude Van Damme?

- Yeah.

- He's the best.

- I know.

- Well anyway yeah, so I thought all that was really great.

Thank you for doing that.

- Of course.

Okay, I'm gonna go get changed.

- Okay.

- But, first I just want you to know that tonight,

- Yes.

- I want it from the back. - Okay.

- You're really saying like, hey wuzzup to my clit.

- What's up?

- In a 2/4 tempo (rhythmic tapping)

and then I wanna change the tempo,

where it's a 4/8 (fast rhythmic tapping)

and then like a Sprawling Dora, Alabama Slamma,

something like that. - Okay.

Sprawling Dora, straight into Alabama Slamma.

- Boom. - Got it.

I love that you know exactly what you want.

- I love it too, just call me boss lady.

- Hey, what do you want on your salad boss lady?

- Uh, no idea.

- Why would you?

The Van Damme.

Rebuilding The Nation Following The Trump Administration - Duration: 7:06.

I want to take a few minutes here and address some questions that we have gotten on Twitter.

People send us questions using the #AskROF.

We always appreciate them.

Anytime we get the opportunity, we love to answer these questions.

Let's jump right into it here.

We have a question from Tony Montana @tmontana302.

Tony asked, "How long do you think it will take to rebuild the nation/world after the

Trump administration?"

That is a good question that actually has two completely different answers.

The answers are one, short-term, and two, never.

Let me explain.

The problems that can be fixed in the short-term.

Economic issues.

The Great Depression wasn't turned around overnight.

It wasn't turned around in four years.

But we're not yet, and I don't think we will be, approaching Great Depression levels of

economic disaster here in the United States.

Things are going to be unpleasant.

Things are going to be bad.

But, as we saw from George W. Bush's economic collapse, through the years of Obama, it can

happen in one administration.

Economic disasters can be turned around within four years, or at least put on a trajectory

to be turned around within six to eight years.

That is more than possible.

The advancements made in health care policy under Barack Obama in the first term show

that we can fix massive problems like mass numbers of uninsured people here in the United

States, so that can be fixed in the short-term.

Donald Trump doing away with the individual mandate from the Affordable Care Act.

That can be undone with the stroke of a pen when the next president takes office, assuming

it's not a backwards-thinking Republican.

So issues like that, yeah.

We've got time.

We've got more than enough time to turn those around.

Other problems.

Systemic racism stoked by the President of the United States.

The refusal of this administration to accept that science is true and that climate change

is real.

Issues like that, those two problems, those aren't going to be fixed in our lifetimes.

There is not a single person listening to this show right now who, no matter what we

do policy-wise, will live to see either of those problems fixed.

That is a very sad statement to make, and that includes myself.

But, with how awful things have gotten, with racists, people like David Duke, the former

Grand Wizard of the KKK, feeling empowered by Donald Trump, saying that they've got a

guy in Donald Trump.

They've got somebody in the White House who speaks their language, who talks like them.

These people, these horrible people have been energized in a way that, no, the next administration

can't undo that.

Neither can the one after that.

It's going to take a very, very long time to undo that damage.

And again, we won't see it in our lifetimes.

We'll see improvements, but I'm worried we're not going to get back to where we were, to

where we were making advancements.

Things weren't perfect, things were bad.

I mean, look.

Things were bad even before Donald Trump, but he has come along and made them so much

worse.

And on that second issue, the climate change, even during the Obama years, Dr. James Hansen,

who is one of the foremost climatologists in the world, he was one of the first people

to bring the issue of climate change to the attention of Congress in the 1980s.

When the United States signed under the Paris Climate Accords, he said, This is too little,

too late."

Too little, too late.

Donald Trump wants us to leave the Paris Climate Accords.

He's trying to get us out of it.

He actively denies that climate change exists.

His administration has proven time and time again that they don't give a damn about climate

change.

They have expelled scientists from their agency and literally replaced them with heads of

industry.

The same polluters that we're fighting against every single day are now running the EPA.

They're serving on advisory panels that were once stacked with scientists.

We can't undo that.

Every day that passes that we do not have an active climate policy, climate agenda in

the United States, irreparable damage is caused to this planet.

Not just the country, the planet.

The longer we go, the longer it takes to fix.

You know?

And the sick, disgusting, twisted part about all of this is that we could have solved this

during the Clinton years, before we really started seeing the evidence of climate change.

He didn't do it.

Bush, a guy who a lot of people actually think denied climate change, but he didn't, he did

admit that it was real, but he was an oil guy first and foremost, and so that's what

we got eight years of.

Obama said climate change is real.

It's a threat.

We've got to do something about it.

Here's a couple little policies I'll sprinkle out here and there, and then, when I hope

you're not looking, I'm going to increase drilling on domestic soil.

I'm going to increase coal mining permits in the United States.

Did you know that the Clean Power Act ... This is something I wrote about at DeSmogBlog.

The Clean Power Act, all of the emissions that would have stopped from that were actually

offset, because about a month after that Obama opened up acres upon acres upon acres of new

areas of the United States for coal mining, and the additional emissions from that extra

coal would have completely offset the savings from the Clean Power Plan.

So when a lot of people talk about, "Oh, the Clean Power Plan was such a great idea," it

was.

That was, but you didn't pay attention to the other policies because they didn't want

people to know about it.

And now, after that 20 years of inaction, we have a president who actively says that

this isn't even happening.

We shouldn't even pay attention to it.

This is stupid.

It's snowing up north.

Ha, ha!

How about that, global warming?

You can't undo that.

That's not going to be undone by the next president no matter who it is.

I mean, we could have Neil deGrasse Tyson as the next President of the United States,

with Bill Nye as his Vice President, and it's too little, too late at that point.

To quote Dr. James Hansen there, too little, too late, and that's what we're faced with

at this point.

Jak rozpoznać podróbkę Casio G-Shock GA-100 / How to spot fake Casio G-Shock GA-100 - Duration: 4:44.

Casio G-Shock colors no reserve unwanted gift? Umm, I don't know.

Today I'll be talking about fake Casio G-Shock watches.

GA-100 is probably the most popular of all G-Shock models.

For 450 PLN one can buy a decent watch – the one I have here is called Big Bang and is on sale for 404 PLN.

And this is a fake one – and I'm about to tell you how to spot it.

First – if it's sold on Facebook, it's fake. No discussion there, Casio resellers don't use Facebook to sell their wares.

Second, look at the quality.

Most fakes are cheaply made. Glass may bend upon touching!

Sure it won't help when buying online, but when someone approaches you with a special offer, you know what to look for.

If you believe in special offers, that is – coz I don't.

Third – details. Small hand is usually stuck on „50". Unless it's painted on like in the fake I have.

Fourth – fakes usually don't have the „1/1000 sec" and „shock resist" written on them.

Fifth – actual usage. I spent quite some time trying to get the fake to show my local time.

Ok, it takes a while in the real G-Shock as well.

Here, the settings button is also a light button. When you enter the time zone settings,

you notice it's like half of what's in the real watch.

I chose Paris – and nothing. The fake shows its own time.

Sure, one could say it's on time twice in 24hrs, but you could draw a watch and wear the picture on your wrist for the same effect.

Sixth – color. Most fakes have green-tinted displays, original ones are usually greyish although that depends on the color variation.

There's so many color options gor G-Shock GA-100 that it's best to check the official store before buying anything.

Seventh - weight. I record my videos at home and my kitchen scale was nearby.

So I checked if they differ in weight.

Yes, they do. The fake is lighter.

Also, I have this thought: if you buy fake goods, you hurt yourself.

And I don't mean expensive things where you justify buying fakes with the fact you could never afford a five-figure accessory.

But I think you could afford a 450 PLN watch.

Does any of your friends work in retail?

Perhaps in a store selling watches, or shoes, or sunglasses?

The lesser the profit of the store, the lesser the chances of your friends keeping their jobs.

Sorry but that's how it works.

Buying real stuff in stores that pay actual taxes – this is patriotism, if you ask me.

Before you write a comment how you can't afford 450 PLN for a watch:

a pack of cigarettes is ca. 15 PLN. 30 of those and you have a watch.

You don't smoke? It's OK, fancy a beer?

A 4-pack of a budget beer is ca. 10 PLN. 45 of those and you have a watch.

And I'm not saying you have to stay home and save on everything to buy that damn watch.

You don't have to buy it today – but if you skip every second pack of ciggies and every second beer

you might buy the watch sooner than you imagine.

Don't forget to rate my video – give it a thumb up if you liked it. Press the bell button to stay up to date with all my videos.
