Hello mes poules, happy to meet you in this video you're getting
more numerous to follow me and I thank you all
welcome to all the new ones on my channel and for
those who discover me today, I am Anlya modest
fashion and I propose some lookbook , some fashion tips, fashion inspirations
especially with Modest touch but it's open to
everybody today it's a video
pretty special that I never proposed so in fact I wanted to show you
what happened on January 2018
so actually this time I did a focus on collaborations
with influencers , the coverages of the media that showcase
hijabis influencers who wear the veil and so who
also represents in a certain way the "veiled woman" ( I don't like this expression) . why this initiative?
Because I think it's interesting to to be able to actually collect everything that
happened so we can take a step back and see what is
happens on the world of fashion and the beauty cosmetics ,
also on the media in their representation of minorities but particularly
in the representation of women who wear the veil because this is a topic that interests me
strongly . there we will have other opportunities in
other videos I think to speak about this "inclusivity"
which is done under cover of diversity, there are many things to say
both positive and negative but I think it really deserves an
another video where we can discuss and exchange on our points of view
today I'm doing a positive focus globally about what
happened because I think it will also allow the influencers who have
been put forward to have support by boosting them and
encouraging them in their direction since from what I could understand
they were really happy to have collaborated or to have been put forward
by the media
so we will start with the first good news about SHAHD
BATAL so SHAHD BATAL actually she is an influencer who comes from
Mineapolis precisely . She was included in the
Byrdie magazine. Byrdie is a American online magazine that speak
about beauty tips , cosmetics , hair and
so she was put forward
through three inspirational portraits where she had the opportunity
to express her personal story with the hijab and her willingness to
promote the idea of accepting ourself and about to showcase
different profiles on the mainstream media
so honestly, find that interview was excellent and I
wish to Shahd Batal a very very good luck , you go girl, we support you
it's really great ! kisses to you! Another good news about this time
manal , better known as Chinutay, an influencer, a Londoner
a Canadian and who was been featured on a magazine
magazine and not just any magazine....THE cosmopolitan UK!
so she is included in the February 2018 edition so this
month !! and that's super super dope!
she was highlighted through 3 portraits and she's just gorgeous
Masha'Allah she is very happy with this
collaboration and I am very happy for her and I thank her
also for her dedication and her way to represent herself, her
beauty and her personality, and and the woman also who wears the veil
so thanks Chinutay, Manal, and good luck !
big kisses! third good news; regards the one that is no longer presented
so it's Dina Tokio, who was highlighted through a magazine , a
prestigious one... the British Vogue ! she was included in a campaign
called "meet the suffragettes". this campaign was initiated by Eva
Wiseman who on the occasion of 100 years of voting right for women, wanted to interview seven
seven women of influence including Dina Tokio, Dina Tokio talks about her vision of feminism and
what she would like to see changing for women in 100 years
thank you Dina Tokio for being able to express your thought and your vision and
for showing precisely that there is not only one face of feminism and there are many
way to be feminist. women who wear the veil can also be
feminist, very beautiful cover of which I am extremely proud and thank you British
Vogue to have shown different profiles, inspiring women, and
gorgeous ... and it's not over with Dina Tokio !!!!
since just recently she has been also put forward through the newspaper
THE independent ! 'where she could express
her willingness to see more of inclusiveness on
the fashion and cosmetics world and she mean real inclusivity with equal
representation
between veiled and non veiled women,
it is a very interesting article
interesting so I'm going to put the link below
so thanks you Dina, for having express thoughts that I share with
you and we support you Dina Tokio, keep going, we're following you
closely, you're the one, you're the QUEEN! Another very good news
this time it's not a coverage of a media or collaboration with
a brand but it's an initiative that was done by two talented women
named Samia and Amal Sultan so they actually organized in Paris in
France a Modest fashion show , they created Modestissime
and to inaugurate its launch they organized a catwalk at the Hotel Crillon so a modest fashion show that highlightednternational designers of all confessions and
the movement of modest fashion through their collections so
honestly thank you so much for this initiative
I had the opportunity to see the backstage of the catwalk
it was really very very well organized so also really
good , i encourage you to to follow them
I will put the links below on the description of their instagram ! they
just getting started and it'is really awesome for a first try
GOOD GOOD GOOD !!
one last news that concerns the Modest Fashion world, I and inclusiveness
and that did not escape us I assume,
Amena khan actually for those who do not
do not know also known
as Pearl Daisy, has been the first woman wearing the veil
to be included in an Oreal campaign of
hair care products, it's really a very first one and the news
has been very covered , of
however, unfortunately her collaboration did
lasted only eight days so what happened is that there is a
group of racists that put forward tweets she had
posted in 2014 about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and so she has
she decided to step down
of the campaign herself as she is judged that these tweets are
not the way she thinks anymore and l'Oréal has decided to accept the
her decision and therefore the collaboration
ended very quickly unfortunately so it could tell you that that's the
inclusiveness is not necessarily perfect and that the freedom of speech has
still some boundaries for some brands
so I find that is a shame because I find
personally that it was not necessarily an issue to have an
opinion whatever it s as opinion, about this conflict
but I won't express myself in this video about : are Brands
really inclusive or not? because I think it deserves a video totally different
Today it's about a positive focus but I still wanted
talk about this issue since it's still something happened on
January 2018 and that I could not hide it
it would be weird! I hope you enjoyed the video
sincerely I took a huge pleasure to make this video, it misses a
little bit of having videos that highlighted the movement of Modest
Fashion and that showcase different profiles!
full of love and full of support to all these girls all
these influencers all those who are in the shadow whether it's designers
or organizers of events etc who really puts their energy
their talent at the service of modest Fashion, really thanks thanks thanks to
all these women do not hesitate to send me
articles or positives initiatives that have been made on February
on my mail in anlyamodestfashion@gmail.com gmail, I will be happy to
collect this data in order to make an another video
if there is really very very good news it would be really amazing!
very dope! tell me in comment section if you like
this kind of format therefore I will do it regularly
every month , would be really great!
and as I said, do not hesitate to tag or share the video
we can just actually shown that Modest fashion world
is changing and sharing a little positivity between us, full
support , full of love! do not hesitate also to mention the influencers
which have been put forward through this video may be that it will bring them
joy maybe they will share also the video and that they will be able to
receive more support, and maybe this kind of initiative can be much more propagate so
other people can do as well this type of video ! we are our
own media and that's really really cool if we can be our
own media since we are the actors of the change too
we can change the narrative of women who wears the veil or POC
so really feel free to share because you
are the strength, you are really the strength
the force of movement and you are really the actors of the change
so do not underestimate your power! I finish the video ! do not forget
to follow me on social networks
, and meanwhile
be yourself ! be proud of what you are kisses mes poules ! I hit myself
