Does YouTube Monetization Influence Search and Discovery? [in 60 Seconds] - Duration: 1:14.

There is a long held YouTube rumour that goes along the lines of this.
If my content isn't monetized then YouTube won't promote it as highly in search results
and suggested videos.
The fair logic being there would be no reason to push content that doesn't earn YouTube
any money.
And with the recent changes to the Youtube Partner Program this topic of conversation
has surfaced once again.
The question is: is it true?
The answer in YouTube's own word is: Monetization status is not used to inform how videos display
on YouTube.
If your channel is no longer in the YouTube Partner Program after February 2018, it does
not mean your videos will be limited in search and discovery.
Now whether you choose to believe this is, of course entirely up to you but consider
this, if it is true every single video creator who has ever lived went through this same
suffering before they were able monetize their content.
It's up to you to decide whether you think YouTube is with you or against you

All right so I normally have my headphones on but just for the sake of
showing you guys what the hell I'm doing I'm gonna have them off and have music
blasting, well as much as I can through the headphones because I have sh***y

Okay so now the song is ready to go and we're doing vocals in our
jerry-rigged studio here. We have our professional voice recording booth it's
called the closet - we try to hide this most of the time but you know what we're
just gonna be real with this behind the scenes, so we're using an iPhone
because we're too cheap to get a real f****** camera
We have clothes hangers in there, we don't even have a dryer so we have
clothes drying right next to the computer, and if you look behind me there are
clothes drying, guitar stacked s***, s****y computer boxes
because I'm too cheap to get a case for the computer if we move and there's also
a dog, if anyone wants it I don't know it just kinda showed up here one day.
F*** you man you adopted me you son of a b****! That's Apollo.

And now my dialogue itself has become jerry-rigged I have nothing left
to say and I'm kind of just pulling sh** out of my a**. All right let's do this.

jerry-rig is that we can't afford two sets of headphones or we actually don't have
the right setup so every time she finishes a take and I need to listen
to it I have to like rip her hair out and pull this

Just thought I'd give you another shot of our
jerry-rigged setup whilst waiting for Logan to finish up the scene, setting up the scene.
All right Whitney just finished recording all of her parts, high five! High five!
Apollo too. I just have to finish all my parts in the jerry-rigged
studio here and then send it off to our animator extraordinaire friend 'cause I'm
too lazy to animate this one.
Okay that was weird, and I'm still recording.

...All right time for my parts and it's gonna
sound like s*** but I'll put a little autotune on it, so you'll hear it before, and you will never
tell me to not use autotune again.

How to Install Windows XP Using Virtualbox - Duration: 5:56.
welcome back to the adventure this is Adam and today we're installing Windows
XP in VirtualBox we'll get started right after this for this I have selected
windows xp home edition with service pack 3 pre-installed a note about
pre-installed service packs I don't like them reason being that they typically
don't come from Microsoft they are made by taking an image of the retail
installation disk and slipstreaming the service pack into the image the concern
is if I didn't do it then I don't know what was done it is possible that
something malicious was included by mistake or otherwise the best practice
is to slipstream the service pack yourself which is a topic we will cover
in a later video we will start here in VirtualBox by creating a new virtual
machine I am going to give it a name that will help me identify what it is
Windows XP of course then what service pack I will eventually be installing the
unofficial service pack for then I will need to know it is the 32-bit version I
also forgot to include home for the addition in the version drop-down we
will select Windows XP 32-bit then we will set the system memory in to 3
gigabytes so we have a decently capable system to work with for the hard drive
capacity we will go with 25 gigabytes to give ourselves some room to install some
programs and games we can leave the other hard drive settings as is I prefer
the dynamically allocated option the system does take a performance hit but
it works well enough for demonstrations one last adjustment to make is the
number of processors let's set this to 2 as Windows XP can make use of more than
one processor or core now that we have created the new virtual machine we can
boot it up this screen here allows us to select a disk image to boot from I will
browse to and select the Windows XP disc image and we are off to Windows setup I
don't know what Windows 11 will look like but I think it should start with a
blue screen white text and that grey bar down at the bottom we will press enter
here I like to scroll to the bottom before pressing f8 a handful of programs
used to require you to scroll to the bottom of the agreement before you could
click the check box to agree we may go over a license agreement in a future
episode to see what it actually contains on this step we get to work with the
hard drive a little bit we can partition the drive then press the Enter key for
format options I will just press ENTER to see what happens
interestingly enough it goes right to the formatting options and doesn't
complain about a lack of a partition because this is a virtual machine I am
going to use the quick format option now setup is going to copy some files I used
to have two windows XP disks with scratches in different places so to
finish the installation I would have to switch disks several times so all the
necessary files could be copied after the restart we get a more graphical
interface spoiler alert the installation does not take 39 minutes to complete the
default setting for regional and keyboard options are fine so we can
click Next for the name I have used owner for many
years I don't remember where I first saw it but it struck me as the perfect name
for a Windows profile that is just used as a demonstration we can click Next I
will enter the product key and be back in a moment the computer name can be
whatever it says here we can change it later if we decide to do something
related to networking date and time settings are fine so we can click Next
we can stick with the typical settings for networking and click Next I missed
the little animated drums from Windows 95 when processes are running like
installing Start menu items

and we get to restart the computer again we will be back after the restart this
phase of the installation is called the out of box experience if you purchased
an OEM system this is what you should see the first time you turn the computer
on let's click Next on this screen we get to choose how we
want to receive updates I'm going to leave automatic updates on and click
Next we can click the skip button on this screen as the internet connection
should be fine if the connection of the host PC is
working as we are setting this up for demonstration purposes we can skip
activation then we are presented with options to set up user accounts we only
need one for now I would call it owner then click Next and click finish here we
are at the desktop on our clean installation of Windows XP Home Edition
in my opinion of VirtualBox tutorial is not complete without briefly covering
the guest additions this is how we get access to higher color depth and screen
resolutions click the devices menu at the top and select insert guest
additions CD image then we will get a pop-up to install the guest additions
click Next the destination folder is fine click Next we may consider
selecting the options for direct3d support if you are going to be playing
games in the guest operating system after you make the decision click Next
Windows XP can't tell if the drivers are compatible so we will need to click
continue anyway several times to finish the installation one last restart
we are back after the restart now we can click on the View menu at the top and
hover over virtual screen 1 then select the resolution that we want I'm going to
go with 1280 by 720 now we are ready to install some software for information on
what order to install software in follow the card above for a collaboration I did

How to Edit YouTube Videos Quick: A Beginner's Guide to iMovie - Duration: 9:44.

Or maybe you just open iMovie, put your video in there.
Maybe you don't know how to put your video in there,
but you're just totally overwhelmed
by what's going on in iMovie.
I totally understand, so in today's video,
I'm gonna walk you through an easy-to-follow iMovie Tutorial
so that you can simply get your videos
edited and uploaded to YouTube.
Hi, my name is Trena
and welcome to my channel, Tips with Trena.
Here on this channel,
I help creative business owners, like you,
get on YouTube to grow your business,

And we're gonna jump right into the iMovie tutorial
so I'm gonna go over to my computer to show you
step-by-step how to edit your next video.
Okay, so I have iMovie open and what I'm gonna do is
create a new movie.
So the next step you wanna do after you've created a project
is you wanna import your media so what I need to do is
plug in my camera card.
Here you'll see all the video clips I have
from the videos that I've filmed today,
and I want to grab this one
and I'm gonna hit command and click this one as well
because these are two different clips
for the video I'm editing today.
Okay, so once you have your videos imported,
what you're gonna do is go ahead
and drag them down here to your timeline,
and then I'm gonna drag this one to my timeline,
and you can make this bigger
so you can get closer to the sound waves
which is gonna be important when I bring in my audio files
so what I'm gonna do is go command plus.
I'm gonna get back to the beginning here
and you'll see these are little sound waves of the audio
that you're doing in that clip
so now I wanna pull in the audio file
and your audio's gonna be this little green guy right here
so I'm gonna go ahead and drag it under this video
and I need to zoom out a little bit
so I can sync the audio with the video.
So you'll see I'm gonna make a clap right here,
you can see that peak in the sound wave,
it's also happening right here in this separate audio file.
I'm gonna go ahead and minimize this
and match up these two peaks in audio.
You can always zoom in.
So now that this is synced up you can see that when I clap,
you hear the clap as well.
(light clapping)
All right, so now I go ahead
and grab this little arrow right here
and turn this volume down.
I do not want the video audio on my movie.
And so now, this is gonna be the soundtrack for the video.
You'll see, we'll press right here:
"We are one month into 2018,
"and how are doing with those goals and resolutions?"
So now, what you wanna do is go in here,
click on the video file, go command B,
and that's going to cut your video file.
And you're gonna do the same thing to your audio file.
Cut, and then you delete this past stuff,
and now your video begins:
"We are one month into 2018,
"and how are you doing with those goals and resolutions?"
So I will always look to change up my videos
to keep it interesting so I'm gonna show you
how I zoom in every couple clips to keep people watching.
I actually want to be zoomed in at the beginning here,
so I'm gonna click this video file.
And I'm gonna go up to this square button
and I'm gonna do Crop to Fit,
and I'm gonna grab the crop to just zoom it in a little bit,
and you can decide where you want it to be.
I want to be in the center so I think that that looks good,
and I'm gonna hit Enter.
Now the video is zoomed in for the beginning:
"We are one month into 2018,
"and how are you doing with those goals and resolutions?
"Have you fallen off the"
See, now it looks like you have two different camera angles,
it is zoomed and zoomed out.
So then you can just go through your editing
and click everything that you need, every, you know,
10 or 15 seconds you can zoom in, zoom out,
and that's how you wanna do that.
So the next thing you wanna talk about
is adding audio and titles to your video.
So iMovie already has some titles in here
that you can click on and see
what they'll look like on your video
and all you can do is grab this and put it right here,
and now you double-click that,
you can say, "What are your goals?"
You can change the font, make it bold,
you can put it to the left, you can change the color.
So that's how you can add text and you can go in here,
you'll see what that will look like:
"Have you fallen off the wagon yet, in today's"
And so, you'll see that clicks over
so you have to be careful of what you pick,
but there are only so many options here in iMovie
and I wanna show you a little secret.
I bought some transitions from this website called VFX.
They have some really cool YouTube clips,
so if you have Final Cut Pro, you can check on here
and see the different things that this comes with.
If you click this play button,
you'll see the different imagery and the text that you get.
So there's over 90 titles,
all these different types of titles from here,
there are a bunch of different places
that have things like this, even in creative markets,
so that's how I've been adding text
and upgrading my YouTube videos in Final Cut Pro.
Another thing you can do is add audio
so there's a bunch of already-prerecorded audio in here
that just makes your text stand out.
So I may want to grab this bell sound,
add it for when my text pops up,
and so now this is what it sounds like:
(bell ringing) "Have you fallen off the wagon yet?"
And now your voice recording file goes down to the bottom,
that's okay,
so you just see that it's stacked on top of each other:
(bell ringing) "Have you fallen off the wagon"
Ta-da!
So the next thing you might be thinking about
when it comes to editing is a transition, you know,
you want it to flip or blur out or do something fancy.
Don't get too fancy with these, don't add too many,
just use them where you need them.
But you'll go here to Transitions
and here are all the different ones that you can use.
I prefer to stay very simple,
you don't want this spinning one, it's just distracting.
Try something very non-discreet like this cross dissolve,
so if I take this and I put it between these two clips,
you'll see what this looks like:
"In February, hi my name is Trena and"
It's very discreet, or if you don't want that one,
go ahead and delete it.
We can go up here and say you want to do a swipe right.
Add this in here:
"In February, hi my name is Trena and welcome to my"
Okay, so those are the different things you can do.
Again, I would not get super fancy,
let me just show you for example, it just looks tacky.
Say you do this puzzle one:
"In February, hi my name is Trena and welcome"
It just doesn't look right,
it looks much cleaner if you do jump cuts
and very non-discreet transitions.
So the next thing that I wanna show you is
how I take an additional clip and add it in here.
So I filmed this in front of the camera,
but I also have an overhead shot of my planner.
So what I will do is insert that clip
in between this clip right here, so here,
let me show you, so I'm gonna ahead and clip this,
and I'm gonna go ahead and zoom out
and grab this clip that I grabbed, an additional clip,
and one other thing that I wanna do,
since this looks upside down,
I'm gonna go up here to this guy and just flip it around.
So if you are filming an overhead shot
where you're planning with somebody
or you're doing a DIY or a craft,
you can always film it at whichever way you need
and then just flip it right in editing.
So now I need to go back to My Media,
and this was the other power sheets audio file,
so I'll drag that down in here, line it up with this clip,
I'm gonna need to zoom in some.
There's my clap, take that out, line it up with this guy.
One other thing I'm gonna do
is make sure this video clip is highlighted.
I'm gonna go to this paintbrush right here and what this is,
it's just gonna brighten it up a little bit
so it stands out and I also want to saturate it
just a little bit more so that the colors stand out,
and I might make it just a little tint of blue,
you could always make it big
to see what it's gonna look like.
And it just gave it a little more pop of color,
just make it a little bit whiter,
and that's just the basic editing
you need to do on a video for a clip.
So I'm gonna go through here and cut up all of these clips,
where I mess up and now at the end of this clip,
what it's gonna look like for you is,
looks like it's overhead and now there I am.
So you don't have to film and then switch it up and film,
you can do multiple clips and pull them in
and make them flow in editing.
