Waching daily Apr 28 2018

This is my cat.

His name is Tuco.

He loves fetching these nylon bolts.

And this is Tuco Flyer,

a robotic camera that helps you hang out with tuco on the internet.

The camera is on a gimbal that moves it around smoothly,

And it's connected to a computer running a suite of vision algorithms.

And we built some winches to pull this whole camera platform around the room.

My goal here is a combination of automatic movement and interactive control

So the camera should know how to avoid obstacles and move around the room safely

but you should be able to control it over platforms like Twitch and Let's Robot.

The robot's attached to the ground via a tether that provides power and sends back low latency

uncompressed video to the computer vision and streaming hardware on the ground.

This is important because Tuco's the co-star in my online streaming show which eventually

turns into these edited videos.

You're watching scanlime, and this is my own combination of art, electronics, reverse engineering,

and forward engineering.

Previous episodes went into more detail on the mechanical and software modifications

that make this gimbal configuration possible,

and the winchbot is a DIY take on a device similar to a theatrical winch, with force

and velocity feedback and a wall mount design.

Four of these winches together give the bot freedom to move within my rectangular space.

The winches, flyer, and a control PC communicate through a dedicated network switch.

At this point, the project's hardware is mostly built, but there's a long tail of software

to write and bugs to fix and algorithms to design and tune and maybe redesign.

This is honestly a pretty nerve-wracking part of the project, where the many subsystems

come together and all the unsolved problems and unknown complications start appearing.

We already had some trouble with the gear motors, and there are several things I'd do

differently now if I were designing the winches from scratch.

But after that one motor replacement, all the winches have been holding up.

Overall stability has been another big question in the current design.

The long half-meter carbon fiber boom in this design is part of a compromise.

For the best stability, we want the camera and the winch attachments as close as possible

to the center of mass,

but that would limit how low we could fly the camera without cables bumping into furniture.

This design keeps collision avoidance sensors on the very top of the robot, near where the

cables attach

Then the camera drops down, half a meter in front of these downward-facing sensors.

This design lets the camera fly lower in the room than it otherwise could without a human

pilot guiding it.

Unfortunately, it puts the center of mass somewhat below the wire attachment point,

so the robot will tend to act like a pendulum.

Right now I'm betting that the extra maneuverability will be worthwhile, and I'm also hoping I

can use the motion control software to actively counteract these oscillations.

For now though, it just means the bot takes some time to stop wobbling any time it moves.

If it turns out I can't make the motion smooth enough just by improving the software, the

hardware design is modular and I could add a counterweight on top or move the attachment

point downward.

The software will aim the gimbal using either manual control input or a region of interest

from the computer vision algorithms.

This is the second gimbal tracking algoritm.

At first, it would always keep the region of interest centered in the screen using a

proportional control loop.

This was very sensitive to noise in the computer vision output, and the photographic framing

was kind of boring.

Now I'm using multiple PID control loops for each axis, triggered by the region of interest

crossing into gain regions at the edges of the screen.

As for the winch control, my software is currently very basic and this is where some of the problems

come from.

The plan is for the bot to move automatically in some modes, but before that can happen

the flyer needs to stabilize its height above the ground, and sense nearby obstacles.

The flyer is covered with sensors: an orientation sensor, accelerometer, IR proximity sensors,

and laser rangefinders.

These are all currently being ignored, but in the near future the robot will use them

to know if an object is nearby, and to estimate orientation and height.

It isn't a goal of this project to know exactly where the robot is located in the room, but

we can get a rough estimate by looking at the distribution of weight among the winches.

This estimate will be important for determining how much to move each cord in order to move

the flyer around in 3D space.

Right now the software uses an extremely simplistic estimate, assuming that the room is a perfect

cube and the flyer is always in the center.

This isn't so bad in the center of the room, but my pulley anchor points are extremely

asymmetric so it's not great either.

As the flyer gets further toward the edges of the room, this naive estimate gets worse

and worse, which causes one of the winches to repeatedly bump up against its lower tension

limit.

The tension limits activate a correction procedure which slowly takes up the slack, but if this

motion is too slow it won't keep up and if it's too fast it will cause an oscillation

by passing the flyer's weight too quickly from winch to winch.

This is one of many oscillations I'm seeing now, where multiple parts of the system are

oscillating with each other and I'll need to do more tuning on those systems or add

some damping to address the specific problems I'm seeing.

In this specific case of keeping the tension balanced, I'm sure I could improve the behavior

by tuning parameters, but ultimately the algorithms need improvement also.

The rough position and orientation estimate is necessary in order to know how much cord

motion corresponds to the desired 3D motion.

I also want to somehow anticipate the tension limits by looking at the rate of tension change,

so the correction I apply can happen gradually and not all at the last possible moment.

I want to keep this video from getting too long, but I'll be releasing separate videos

on robot components like the leash and the software stack, so be sure to subscribe if

you're interested.

I'll finish this up with some footage from the flyer as I follow Tuco around the shop,

and I'll describe some of the problems we run into along the way.

That orange rectangle there is my manual control, but when you just see those yellow sprites

marching around Tuco, that's when the computer vision algorithm is trying to track him and

might be doing so successfully.

And seems like we're doing alright so far.

You'll notice he isn't quite in the middle of the frame but when he moves toward the

edge we scroll over toward him.

Now there's a bug I was having at the time, where the gimbal couldn't aim very far downward

or its axes would start vibrating.

Now I can adjust the gains to try and fix the root cause, but when this video was recorded

the best I could do was automatically aim the gimbal toward its home position to recover.

But here you can see that behavior oscillating with the computer vision tracking.

And now it's doing an okay job, but somewhat noisy.

You see the gimbal jerk around occasionally.

This is a symptom of the tracking PID controllers becoming too sensitive to computer vision

tracking noise when the region of interest is so large relative to the screen.

I'll want to tune the gimbal tracking algorithm for sure.

Additionally, once the software is ready to fly the bot automatically, this is when it

would back up in order to keep the region of interest from filling so much of the frame.

It's worth mentioning that the automatic mode is limited in how close to the ground it can

fly, because the sensors and cord attachments at the flyer's saucer area must stay above

all obstacles.

This kind of flight close to the ground will only be possible with a human pilot to spot

hazards around the bot and cables.

If you've been following this project, I hope you enjoyed seeing this progress update.

But I also hope that these videos or the code and design files might inspire you to build

something new or ask new questions about the devices around you.

If you want more detail, I'll be releasing more of these higher level videos so you can

subscribe if you'd like to know about those.

You can also jump over to the archived or live scanlime-in-progress streams, to see

what the process is like in real-time.

This series is possible thanks to many of you who send in hardware or support the channel

with a donation on LiberaPay or Patreon.

Links are all in the description.

Thanks, everyone, and do let me know what you think!

I want to inspire people to understand and modify the technology in their lives, but

it's also important to me to help more people break into an increasingly complicated field.

I'll throw a few bolts for Tuco.

See you next time.

Zoey Saldana & 'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast On How Black Panther Success Will Change Hollywood - Duration: 6:25.

- Got it.

So the support for Black Panther has been overwhelming,

to say the least.

(laughs)

And most of us feel like it's been a long time overdue.

So how do you think this will change the way

that Hollywood is talking about diversity?

Like, are we ready for a Storm stand-alone film?

- Um

- A Storm stand-alone? Is that what you said?

- I think that we have never experienced this before,

where 49% of the American population is 35 and under.

It used to be they were always more--

they were older people.

More older people than younger people.

And also, of this 49%, more than half of it

is multicultural and is primarily of Latin-esque decent.

So, obviously, they are the taxpayers, they're the voters.

They're gonna be the ones that are going to school

and getting all the jobs, but not just jobs that sustain

and keep the lights on in our country,

but also the innovative and inventive positions

of physicists and scientists and doctors

and politicians, eventually.

We will-- America will face an election where

the decision will be between two candidates

that go by the last name of Nunez and Rodriguez.

In order for that to happen, I think that we need

to start broadening the narrative

in other fields that are, you know--

Entertainment is probably considered a field

that people go, "Oh, because it's entertaining,

it's not important."

It is everything, because what you do on your weekend is

you dine, you go to the movies or to a museum,

you go buy a book, you listen to music.

So culture, basically moves us.

Either apart or together.

So when Hollywood is taking note of that

and understanding that the American audience

is super multicultural, and in order for us to continue

catering to our American audience, we have to sort of

reshape our narrative, so not changing our stories,

our stories remain the same.

We still have a great sense of justice,

We still love comedy, we love superheroes.

But broadening that narrative and allowing

other American faces to sort of encapsule

the same simple message is what's most inspiring.

And I'm very proud of Hollywood and filmmakers

and studios like Marvel that are pioneering this trend.

And taking this movement - And they're proving that

it's good business. - Absolutely.

- 'Cause this is America.

- Yes.

- If it's good business, it's gonna happen.

- Absolutely.

- I love that Black Panther is

the fourth biggest movie of all time

or whatever it is. - It was inspiring.

- It's like, alright, you're damn right you're gonna get

a Storm stand-alone film, and it's gonna be good.

I'll be right there to watch it.

- But also, it wasn't overwhelmed

by outstanding issues that are pink elephants in a room

that we've known for centuries.

It was actually, it just allowed other themes

to permeate the goals and the activities and the missions

of these characters and they just so happen to be black.

That to me was the most resonating of the whole thing.

And I think it really elevated the conversation

of race because it brought it down to the origin

of pre-colonization and post-colonization.

What would a free black man be today?

You know, who is a free black man today?

Versus a black man that is a generational dissent

of post-colonization, and that to me,

the elevation of a conversation that needs

to stop being painful in order for us

to be objective about it so that we can create solutions

was the take away that I had as a woman

that's raising three black males in America.

I was very inspired.

- Well, I mean, look.

It's a business.

It is a business first and foremost.

So their responsibility as a business--

I mean, there's creative aspect, obviously.

There's the social aspect and the impact, obviously.

But it is first and foremost a business,

because that's what is always has been.

When that movie did as well as it did,

or Wonder Woman did as well as it did,

That's, then the paradigm shift changes.

That's just the deal, and I expect that

from a Hollywood point of view.

From a individual point of view, it's a different thing.

It's not about business, its not about money.

So then you conduct yourself the way you want to,

or the way you want to see the world,

or the way you want to live in this world.

But I'm happy.

It's like me doing a movie that's valued,

and supposedly I'm a better actor if it's more valuable.

It's not necessarily the case,

but it's the way the business perceives it.

So I'm glad that the business perceives

a wide array of cultures as being valuable to them now,

because I do think it will have a social impact.

- Just being able to bring something to life

that we kinda, like, dreamed about for so long,

and then seeing Chadwick bring it to life in Civil War

and carrying that on into Black Panther

and also just noticing that there was a trend as well,

that there was an opening from the very beginning as well

with Elizabeth's character and Scarlett's character,

Zoe's character, bringing women more to the forefront

and then with Panther literally just doing it,

just bringing that all together,

and then now we get to continue it with Infinity War,

that's been really, really good.

So yeah, it's shaken things up a bit

and just in a normal Marvel nature,

just carrying the baton and carrying it on

with this, that's super diverse.

We've got green people, red people,

- (laughs)

- brown people, purple people. It's wonderful.

So everybody's included and yeah, it's good.

- I think Marvel, I mean, you just look at that poster

they've obviously been leaning into it--

- For a long time. - A long time.

And trying to inculcate that more and bring that in

and continue to support and do that.

And I just think, I know with the slate that's coming up

over the next several years, and all the movies,

that it's just, it's gonna continue and get deeper.

It's kudos to Marvel.

PRIMAVERA EN COREA | Spring in Korea [Eng Subs] - Duration: 11:28.

Spring! 봄!

I am Kathleen Hernandez!

Spring, one of the most

beautiful and colorful seasons of the year.

After winter and before summer.

Where nature puts on

its best dress to celebrate

the beginning of new things, new life,

rebirth, delicacy

and gives us beautiful landscapes.

And here in South Korea,

it delights us with the beautiful view of

flores de cerezo, Cherry Blossoms or in Korean 벗꽃.

Join me on this multi-day tour

where you can appreciate and enjoy

the beauty of nature on

the campus of Kyungsung University,

Busan, South Korea! Let's start!

시작!

Well, we are already in spring in Korea,

I can feel the breeze.

Pam, Pam, Pam! *Making Background Sounds*

The warmth, the breeze,

everything in its point in spring.

Sometimes we have cold days,

and sometimes we have hotter days.

And here ends day 1!

You didn't believe me, did you?

No, no, no!

I'm going to show you my food in the beginning of spring.

This dish is called

Cheese bulgogi stone-cooked Bibimbap

and it fascinates me!

I am fascinated by how melted cheese looks

when you mix it with all the ingredients it has.

Rice, meat, which is bulgogi...

OMG!

Too delicious and highly recommended.

One of my favorite meals in the dorm cafeteria.

Here we are climbing the stairs

to show you the view of this second day.

Now we go to the area where I take classes!

And this way ends day #2.

We arrived at day 3!

Look how the trees look.

Beautiful this tree.

Day #4!

We started the day #4 seeing

how the petals are falling in this area where there are many trees.

I want to show you how the flowers look at night,

very beautiful and romantic.

The lights make that perfect contrast,

which gives prominence to the flowers of Cherry Blossom.

With this night view ends day 4.

It's already day #5!

Wow! Look how the petals fly by the wind!

ARE YOU READY?

Rain of petals!

The truth is that this scene reminds me of Sakura ...

"RELEASE!" *Sakura Phrase*

Now they try to catch the petals that fall from the trees.

Looks so much fun guys!

I also want to play!

Now ... swirl of petals.

Ready?

Here I go! Wow!

The truth is that I did not want to leave this place.

Look how pretty these flowers,

when I was talking with them they gave me the authorization

to make them a close-up for my subscribers.

Look at the landscape!

here are the boys and girls taking photographs,

capturing the moment in their hearts.

"Save it in my heart!" *Like this video if you know this phrase <3 *

I came to the conclusion that this was one of the most beautiful days!

Look how the petals look up at the fountain!

As if they were bubbles!

I also tried to play with the petals!

FAILED! LOL.

Now I'm gonna do some magic for all of you my dear subscribers.

Ready?

Wiiii !! *LOL*

I feel like Sakura walking between the petals.

And we can not forget the beautiful plants

that adorn with that beautiful green of nature!

Hey! And that's how the view looks like from above!

It's very beautiful, isn't it?

Going back to the dorm.

This is the end of day #5!

Unfortunately, most of the petals are gone.

And the trees are changing color,

or showing us their future fruits and so on.

The breeze is soft and

I just want to sit and breathe the fresh air that comes from the fountain.

Here I am again enjoying the beauty of spring.

Wow! There are fish in the fountain!

The 6th day already ended.

I'm going to show you this last place,

just after taking TOPIK #57 I came to this place,

also from Kyungsung University.

I love the peace that is breathed

Come and see it for yourselves.

Look how nice this place is!

And like this, ends my spring video here in Korea,

specifically in the Busan area.

And that's how the motorcycles sounds.

I hope you liked the video

and see you in the next!

See you on the next Vlog!

If you liked it, comment, subscribe and share it!

Thanks so much for more than 240 subscribers!

Let's go for more!

Do not forget to smile!

Facebook Ads Tutorial For Beginners 2018 - [Day 3 of 6] Social Proof & Facebook Advertising Growth! - Duration: 15:51.

What's up guys Jason Wardrop here back with day three of the six video series challenge

So if you guys have not watched the previous videos go back watch day one watch day two

because this is all building upon each other so in this video you're gonna break down some Facebook ads and

Diving into more of your cold markets so in the first couple of videos we went through and we grit gathered your existing network we

Upload that into Facebook we uploaded that into your CRM

we blast out emails learn new about know about your new Facebook page we went through ran a

video post to that warm market already so you can generate some low hanging fruit get some likes comment some engagement and

Now we're taking this post right here

so this is

ideally you've gone through and you've run it for a dollar a day in the last video like I showed you guys and

you've gotten some likes and comment so you've got some social proof on this live video or

A video doesn't have to be a live video right now. We're gonna

Do is now that you got some social proof so some likes and comments what we're gonna

Do is take the same piece of content so in the last one?

I kind of use the example of running an open house

Or it could be for a listing it could be for a gym

It could be really for whatever business that you're running right and now we're gonna go through and show

This exact post this exact ads to some more of your cold market, but your local audience, okay?

So I'm gonna dive into the Facebook Ads manager

I'm gonna show you how to set that up

And then also show you the best way to go through and generate leads with this whole process okay

So let's jump over here into the Facebook Ads manager

And click on the ads manager right here alright, so now we're at this point

We're gonna come over here to create a new campaign and for this example

We're gonna come over here and use the conversion campaign, so we're gonna get to this and a little bit later

We're setting up landing page and going through and showing you how to actually generate leads

So you're not just getting likes and comments anymore, but you're actually getting real leads for your business. Okay, so right now. We're here conversions

Demo ok then we'll hit to continue. Okay, so if you guys remember in the last video

This is where we went through and we targeted our custom audience now at this point

We don't want to go through and necessarily

Just go and hit that warm market of the people that we're already marking to it for a dollar a day

We want to expand our markets and people that maybe don't know who are they don't really necessarily trust

We don't necessarily have credibility with them

But since we've got some social proof initially on that video on that Facebook live whatever post we did previously

We can go through and get some lower-cost leads coming in the door. Okay, so up here. Let's say say

Let's say we're in Dallas, right?

So we'll say with Dallas demo and we'll say ten mile

Radius and I'll explain why we're gonna do that here in just a second then we're gonna come down here to this

Selected conversion event and we're gonna go down and we're gonna select

Down here at the bottom

I got a lot on here you probably have a lot on Torrance's because I've done a lot of demos on here

We're just gonna select lead okay, so we're gonna select lead right here

Then we're gonna come down to the audience section and instead of adding the custom audience like we did before

we're gonna exit out of the United States and

We let's say we've got a local business and Dallas like we said earlier

So come in here type, Dallas, Texas, and then you remember how I said a ten-mile radius up here. We'll say a

10-mile radius

Right here, and also look at this guy's you could do a 10 to 50 mile radius

Okay, or you can say hey only the current City so like if you got a local restaurant

And you don't want people coming from 10 miles away cuz that's pretty far distance

You can say hey only people that live in this

exact city so with a big city like Dallas that that totally works perfectly and then also on locations is

By default set to everyone in this location

But we want to do people who live in this location okay now if you do have a restaurant obviously you can do

Everyone in this location, but if you're doing something more of like a local gym membership

Or you're running an open house people that like are wanting to move within the area

You probably want to do just people who live in this location ok so just

Keep that in mind as we're going through here, and then as far as the ideal target audience

I would go through if you're like I know a lot of you watching

This are in the real estate niche

So I would probably do a minimum age probably about 25 26 27 will lose 26

Up to 65 plus if you're marketing or if you're selling a home in a specific community

maybe it's like an

older community like retirement home or kind of a young millennial community or kind of like that middle age group just go through and make

Sure age is all targeting based off. What your offer is right, and then for this. I just do all men and women

I don't necessarily go through and say a specific

Language or even mess with the detail targeting because right now we want to pretty much cast a wide net

Because Facebook is actually pretty good at going through and you just going through and posting some ad and

Based off people that have already liked or commented or interacting with your ad they'll go find other people that are very similar to that

And so you don't really have to mess too much with the targeting right so people they get too much overwhelmed in depth with all

the targeting stuff honestly, I don't ever use any targeting for any of my webinars that I run and

it's it's not something you really need right now at this point if

Your ads are not really performing as well as you want to we can go ad targeting later

But that's just kind of a quick little spiel on targeting right here, then what I like to do

I like to uncheck this

I just I haven't seen it work there low back great, so I've done a lot of tests

You don't need a test it just trust me. It works better. If you uncheck that then coming down here

Remember on the dollar day yesterday with the retargeting ads we had automatic placements which is recommended

They say, but I like that when I have a smaller audience and with the dollar day

I can go and through and hit every single person

But when I have a bigger audience likely this 1.7 million people and I don't have as big of a budget

So I'm gonna be spending maybe like let's say five to ten dollars a day

Which you can go up to 20 30 40 50 whatever you want

But most small business owners my guess the ones that I've worked with her in the five to ten dollar range

Maybe twenty twenty-five dollars a day on the high end, but you want to go through and get very specific

Where you're placing those ads so what I like to do is come down here

And I only like to show it on the Facebook mobile and desktop news feeds, okay

That's just what I've seen us work the best for me

And my business work the best for all of the business owners that I've worked with so I come in here

And I just uncheck all of these different items right here

And so you can go later on what after you guys go through and do this the way I'm showing you

You can go play around you can experiment with some of these different some

Placements, but I highly recommend if you want the best bang for your buck. Just skip to this right here

Just do exact see what I'm showing you because you're gonna get the most leads and the most conversions

From your advertising dollars, okay, so now we're gonna come down here, and this is where we're gonna

We're just gonna leave all this up here as far as your advertising budget like I said

This is all completely up to you if you're you know let's say you want to start out

I typically say start out around $10 a day if you're in a smaller community

And you're not like in a community like Dallas where this is like

1.5 million people you can easily spend probably even hundred dollars a day with 1.5 million people and be totally fine

Whereas if you have a smaller community like say this it only 20 or 30 thousand?

I would probably only spend $1 per

10,000 people so if you have let's say

40,000 I would spend 4 bucks per for that audience 4 bucks per day

And so just keep that in mind based off of your audience and where you're going if you're like a hundred thousand plus

But you just don't have the budget to go spend 14 15 20 dollars a day

I would just spend

10 bucks a day and it'll just go through and kind of reach the different people in that audience and the nice thing is as

I mentioned earlier

Facebook's pixel

Which is kind of like where they base a lot of their advertising?

Platform and algorithms and all that stuff off of it is very smart

So it'll go through

and we'll find the right people to show your ad to because

Facebook only wants to show ads that are the most relevant for certain people okay?

So they know the history they know the profiles on all these people they know their search behaviors

They know all this information, and so if they don't feel like it connects with the person that you're trying to target

They're still just not going to even show it to them

Okay, so just keep that in mind Facebook actually does have your back. They want you to be successful and then coming down here

We're just gonna leave it at conversions. We're gonna leave all this we're not gonna mess around with it, and we'll come over here to

This next spot, and this is where we're gonna choose this video right here that you already shot

And you've already been promoting for a dollar a day

Maybe you've promoted for four or five days or so to that warm market that we showed you guys in the last video

So if you haven't watched that go back and watch that video, okay, so now what we're gonna

Do is come over here, and we're going to say okay?

Actually, we're going use an existing post and we're gonna choose this business page

So you juice make sure you choose your page right there if you want to add an Instagram account you can

Just remember your video has to be less than 60 seconds to show it on Instagram as well

And then we'll come down here and the nice thing is that if it's like your most recent posts

You can easily select it right here from the drop-down

Since this is kind of more of a previous post what I'm gonna. Do is just take this ID right here

I'm gonna copy that and I'm gonna go enter pulse ID and paste in right here hit submit

And it's gonna pop in right here

So you can see this is just like this was just notifying people about a new training

I had done, and so we just go through leave it like that and then as we come down

We will just hit confirm, okay

Now obviously if you're going through and you're saying hey, I'm going and setting this up for conversions

I want to generate leads when they come down and they click learn more you probably want some type of

Link to your landing page right here in the ad copy so if you're like Jason

That's awesome, but like what is the landing page? How do I go through and create one?

Well, so we've got the arsalan kg software right here

So this is a software we build out specifically for real estate agents for mortgage brokers and allows you to easily create these landing pages

Which they're a lot more optimal to actually generating leads and converting people to visit your site

Into leads as opposed to your main website, so you can see right here

There's nothing else on this page besides this little headline sub-headline and get me the list they put in their name email and phone

Hit submit, and they become a lead right so the nice thing is is we've got all if you click on create another website

Right here, we have all these different templates

So you've got the listing leads motivated sellers open house so are these like if so like for this example guys

We're running an open house, so we're gonna use click choose right here

Where this is going to kick us into the website builder?

We're gonna edit the images the the text the videos anything and customize it to you and your business

So let's just click on here just want to show you guys

We'll just change out the background images to show you so

Let's say we've got a picture of the home that we're gonna go through and do an open house for okay?

And the same thing goes for a restaurant a gym owner

Whatever business you're in you want to go through and this landing page

To whatever business you're in so we'll just come over here and click choose new image. We've got all of these different

You know pre-built stock images in here for you, or you just click on my images right here?

And you choose an image to upload from your desktop, but you can see I've already got several images already pre uploaded

So let's just use this one right here. We can crop edit rotate. Do whatever we want with this image

We hit use this image

And you can see we've got the background image right there for what you're doing what you're trying to promote

So what we're gonna. Do is come over here hit publish

his website saved and published, and then we can come back and

Use this landing page on that video so I might I probably should have shown this to you guys yesterday

Because even your warm market you want some place to send them that they can go through

And let that let you know that their interest is so like they click on this

From this video ad so what you'll do is you'll add the link right up here in this post and if you've already created this

Post you can just click on this three dots and hit edit video and you'll be able to edit the content in this post kay

And then what you're doing is just taking this link right here

And if you don't want it like the sisal arsalan kg com what you can do is either go to bitly bi te ly

Comm and paste it in there, and it'll go through and they'll shorten it right there, so you can see that you copy that

You put that in the browser or in the Facebook post when they click on that it's gonna pull you up to this same exact

Landing page okay, so that's pretty cool right so then you can go through and actually generate leads

And that's why we're setting up a conversion campaign

With this Facebook post so now you're getting the likes in the comments you have the dollar a day

Campaign going towards your warm market, and then you have the five ten dollar day

Whatever your budget is going towards your cold market

But it's getting more exposure the cool thing is is you're doubling up on the social proof so you're using the same exact post

For your warm market where you're getting the likes and comments, but then even when you're marketing to your cold market

You're still carrying over all these likes and comments you're not having to start over a complete

Fresh post which is super beneficial because on Facebook as you guys know it's all about social proof

It's all about seeing okay other people like this other people are

And then other people are more likely to jump in on what you're doing

Hey guys, so that was a quick run-through

but a very

powerful

Concept of what we cover today is going through and taking that video that you've already got whether you did a live video or you?

Just upload your own video, okay?

Make sure you get a link to your landing page right in here

So take this link copy that go put it right in here

And then go and set up a second ad campaign targeting your cold audience, okay

So people that in our in your local market with the the demographic targeting just like I showed you guys and they use this

Exact ad okay because it's gonna carry over all the social proof so either use this ID or when you're in the ads manager

You can come down and select one of the most recent posts

Which is probably gonna be your most recent posts that you've just done. Okay, then from there all you do is hit confirm

You're set ready to go and you've got the one dollar day campaign going towards your warm market

Which we've also are building that up with the video viewers that we created in the last video, right?

We've got your second campaign. Which is five ten fifteen twenty dollars a day based on what your budget

Is that is going towards the cold market and?

The cool thing is is even with that cold market people that are watching that video

They're gonna automatically be put back into that audience of people who have viewed

25 percent or more of your video the one we created just yesterday, okay?

So you don't have to touch anything it's all on autopilot

You're building up that warm market that big arm audience on complete autopilot

But you have this front runner ad okay that you're spending five to ten dollars a day

And then you have the backend ad that's doing all of the cleanup work, okay

And then that back end up ad is the one that you're changing out every fourteen to twenty days

So that you're getting new fresh content in there, so you're not just spamming people with the same exact stuff so anyway guys

Hopefully this was helpful. If it was let me know give it a thumbs up drop a comment down below

Let me know if you guys have any other questions this next video. We're gonna be covering

how to stay top of mind with your leads so some different techniques we're gonna go through in there and then also how to

Expand your marketing, so you're not just relying on facebook

We got some other cool tips to go through into you and then let's see here

Then we'll cover how to go through and actually schedule more calls and more

Appointments from those leaves from all the marketing that you're doing in day six, right?

So thanks so much guys make sure you guys subscribe to channel come back tomorrow for the next video in this series

And I will see you all tomorrow

Progress Report: Theory Test for Alcohol Catalyzed Magnesium Reduction of Sodium (Success!) - Duration: 6:59.

Warning: The experiment deals with high temperatures.

Sodium is a dangerously reactive and flammable metal.

Fire safety protocols must be in place.

Greetings fellow nerds.

So i have a very exciting progress update:

I have successfully made sodium by the alcohol catalyzed magnesium reduction approach.

The process though is terrible and practically worthless since the alcohol is thousands of times more expensive than the sodium produced.

But I did this not to actually make sodium this way, but to prove the theory you can make sodium this way.

So this video will be more about the process of research rather than the procedures of chemistry.

So a brief reminder: I've been trying to make sodium by the alcohol catalyzed magnesium reduction approach

where magnesium is reacted with sodium hydroxide using an alcohol catalyst.

The amateur has already used this process to make potassium to great success.

This should be safer and higher yielding than the dioxane process

which requires an initial high temperature thermochemical reaction that likely burns a lot of the sodium before it can be recovered.

That is, if we can get this to actually work.

I am not the first person to try this.

The amateur community has been working on this years but to very little success.

A few amateurs reported success but without pictures or further replications by others their reports were met with skepticism.

My own attempts to try this have failed as well.

The current theory, although it's closer to a hypothesis at this point in time,

is that the reaction mechanism proceeds by solvating the alkali metal ions in solution using an alcohol.

It's well known in chemistry that sodium alkoxides are not as soluble in organic solvents as potassium alkoxides.

So according to the current theory we need a sodium alkoxide that is soluble for this to work.

Unfortunately most of us amateur chemists only have access to light alcohols.

These form alkoxides that have extremely low solubility in organic solvents.

What was needed was a heavy alcohol, one that had a large enough carbon chain so it would have more non-polar character than polar character

and thus dissolve in organic solvents even as an alkoxide.

So I made a series of heavier and heavier alcohols using grignard reactions.

I hope that one of them would work.

Afterward began my research mixing together sodium hydroxide, magnesium metal, tetrahydronaphthalene solvent and experimenting with different alcohols.

Unfortuantely, every experiment kept failing.

i found out later that the tetrahydronaphthalene can react with sodium and produce tar.

The reaction is slow but enough to shutdown the catalytic reaction.

At this point though i've been spending months on this project and needed to reevaluate whether it was worth continuing or abandoning.

I needed a model experiment running under perfect conditions to see if making sodium this way was even possible.

The experiment had to be so far at the extreme end of the theory that, if the theory was sound, it would have to work.

Proving the theory possible would determine if i should put the continued effort in or abandon the project.

So to do this we setup a condenser on a flask with 10mL of pure 7-hexyl-7-tridecanol.

This is a superheavy alcohol that i engineered specifically because it would be the ideal alcohol for this experiment.

It's a tertiary alcohol catalyst, but at the same time it's so large that it can also serve as the solvent.

Lighter alcohols cannot be used as the solvent because their alkoxides are solid even at these temperatures.

But 7-hexyl-7-tridecanol alkoxide should still be fluid even without dissolving it in another solvent.

Now the alcohol is yellow due to some minor impurities but it's still the majority component.

However, to make sure the impurities don't interfere, i'm putting in half a gram of sodium metal and heating until it melts.

The sodium will help jumpstart the reaction and destroy any reactive impurities.

Now i know it's kinda redundant to add sodium in an attempt to make sodium,

but this being a model experiment i'm specifically trying to see if we can get any sodium production at all.

We can then figure out the practicalities later.

Similar to testing if something is a fire hazard by setting it on fire.

Setting it on fire isn't the point, it's to see if it can burn at all.

Anyway, once the sodium was dissolved we then added in 3g of lab grade magnesium metal powder.

This is grignard quality magnesium i normally reserve for highly sensitive experiments.

We let this react with maximum heating for half an hour so the alcohol etches the magnesium surface activating it for our reaction.

This should be at least 200 degrees celsius in there, mostly likely higher.

Now we drop in 4g of sodium hydroxide and let it react.

Okay these conditions don't get much more ideal than this.

Sodium jumpstart, high quality magnesium, and an alcohol that has been engineered to be the perfect catalyst and solvent at the same time.

If this doesn't work i'm packing up and moving onto to projects with betters odds like dating a supermodel or becoming a novelist.

Well it looks like the supermodels will have to wait since it seems like it's working.

Those tiny shiny spheres look like sodium is being produced.

This is a great result, this confirms the process can work.

All you amateur chemists that were successful but no one believed you, you are now vindicated.

It actually works.

I'm not sure, but i think this is the first video evidence of making sodium this way.

Anyway i ran this for a few hours and stopped it.

I could have run longer to finish it but i was more interested in just getting it to work rather than isolating the product.

And there it is after cooling, sodium metal along with unreacted magnesium.

This is a lot more sodium metal than the initial sample i used to jumpstart the reaction.

So we are producing it and not just regenerating it.

To test it i scooped out a sample and put it in water.

That is definitely sodium metal.

So this process works.

The major problem is that 7-hexyl-7-tridecanol is incredibly expensive since it has be custom made.

I tried the same experiment again this time with the much cheaper 3-ethy-3-pentanol but it failed since the alkoxide solidified even at these temperatures.

Nonetheless our original result is still important.

It means that the theory is sound and it's worth the effort to continue researching this.

There may yet be a combination of alcohols and solvents that are cheaper and still effective enough to viably obtain sodium.

So my apologies to all the disappointed supermodels out there.

I'm going to go back to the lab and keep working on this.

I'm much more confident now that we will be able to succeed.

Hopefully i'll some more positive results in the coming months.

Easter Eggs You Missed In Avengers Infinity War - Duration: 10:02.

Ten years in the making, Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of all of Marvel's

awesome efforts on the big screen, marking the end of many things… and very likely

the beginning of even more things.

And even though Infinity War is pretty focused on the here and now rather than the deeper

secrets hidden within the pages of Marvel Comics, this movie didn't disappoint True

Believers.

In fact, its many true-to-comics scenes and unexpected callbacks stole the show.

Here's a spoiler-filled look at a few of the Easter eggs you may have missed in Avengers:

Infinity War.

And one more time, in case you missed it: massive spoilers ahead.

"Mantis! Look out!"

The Mark L

Tony Stark is probably a few hundred armors deep when it comes to his comics counterpart,

but in the MCU, he's just reached armor number 50: the Mark L. This time around, he's dropped

the complicated suit-up gantry, the fancy suitcase, and even the legion of armors that

can just fly around and protect him from his enemies.

Tony's newest armor, which he wears in a small box on his chest, is all about portability

and convenience, and it's pulled directly from a couple of comics sources.

Iron Man's S.K.I.N. armor debuted in 2001, and was mostly housed in a small, self-contained

unit that could release a simple, liquefied form of his suit around his whole body instantly.

Later, Iron Man's Bleeding Edge armor would do something similar, except it formed a complete

suit of armor… and it was housed in the hollows of Tony's bones, rather than in an

oversized locket.

Kind of gross, but anything to not have to wear gaudy, glowing jewelry, right?

A few extra legs

We've been seeing previews of Spider-Man in his fancy new "Iron Spider" armor for months

now, after he'd first rejected it at the end of Spider-Man Homecoming.

It's not too far into the movie before he gets his first feel for the slick new suit,

and immediately stows away on the trip to Titan, much to Tony's annoyance.

But unless you caught one very specific statue design that was leaked way too early, nobody

really expected the suit to sprout a bunch of extra legs and save the day.

That is, unless you're familiar with the Iron Spider armor in the comics, which has that

exact feature.

While it initially seemed too outlandish for the big screen, those extra appendages definitely

came in handy.

And when Iron Man can combine his feet to make one giant rocket-foot, a couple of extra

spider-legs isn't really that weird anymore.

Stormbreaker

Rest in pieces, Mjolnir.

It was pretty much inevitable that the guy known for swinging a mystical weapon would

end up getting his hands on another one pretty quickly after his iconic hammer was destroyed

in Ragnarok.

"Hammer?"

It was quite unique. It was made from this special metal from the heart of a dying star and

when I spun it around really really fast it gave me the ability to fly.

You flew a hammer?"

Thor's new accessory goes by the name of Stormbreaker.

Loyal comics readers, of course, know that name's already been taken by Beta Ray Bill's

weapon, marking the second time that the powerful, Thor-like space-horse has been referenced

in the MCU.

Bill is probably out there in the galaxy somewhere, assuming he wasn't reduced to dust in Thanos'

great culling of the universe, anyway, and Stormbreaker is ready for his arrival.

Can his first full Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance be too far behind?

Fear Itself

Speaking of Asgardian allies, Thor seems to have pals everywhere.

"Daryl is an average sorta everyday guy, so it works out well."

Marvel is once again borrowing parts of their own previously published comics for their

blockbuster movies, having previously made significant tweaks to Civil War and Planet

Hulk to get them to the big screen.

This time, Fear Itself plays a minor role.

Sure, in Fear Itself, it was Tony Stark visiting the cosmic dwarves to make weapons for the

Avengers to fight the Serpent… but the general idea is the same: Thor visits the dwarf Eitri

to get a new, Thanos-smashing weapon, for better or worse.

Mostly worse.

A tour of the galaxy

Nidavellir and Vormir aren't just really confusing crossword puzzle

answers, they're actual places in the Marvel Comics universe.

The Asgardian arm of Marvel is pretty much just a wild riff on actual Norse mythology

with slightly more preposterous muscles, so Nidavellir has real sources in actual historical

documents dating back to the year 1270, which place it as the home of the dwarves.

No big questions there; Marvel just uses it pretty much like they found it.

Vormir, on the other hand, has never been that important in Marvel continuity.

In the comics, it's the home of a bunch of 16-foot tall, dragon-like aliens who feed

on planets.

When Thanos and Gamora arrive there in Infinity War looking for the Soul Stone, there aren't

any dragons to be found.

There really isn't much of anything.

The significance ends there; it's just a pearl buried deep, deep in Avengers lore.

But what they did find on Vormir is even more surprising than what they didn't…

Return of the Skull

In a move almost nobody saw coming, First Avenger villain Red Skull re-appeared in the

MCU as the cosmic guardian of the Soul Stone, having paid the ultimate price for his search

for cosmic power.

He's never actually referred to as Red Skull, but he speaks of his quest for the Stones

and how it led him to his imprisonment on Vormir.

Also, he has a red skull.

It's pretty obvious.

Fans familiar with Thanos' comic book quest to make the physical embodiment of Death fall

in love with him probably also noticed the similarities between Red Skull's new all-black,

ghoulish form and Marvel's personification of Death.

It's a great twist on Thanos' comic relationships, and seeing it play out like this here pretty

much guarantees we'll never have to see a Thanos/Death makeout scene.

Everyone wins.

Cut to ribbons

Thanos' deal is generally much more about destruction than creation, but that doesn't

mean he's not one heck of a creative guy, defusing situations by turning laser blasts

into bubbles and building giant altars to girls who don't like him.

In an effort to show off for Death during Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos turns Nebula into

an unraveling ribbon, and his own brother Starfox into a disjointed stack of blocks.

The details are a little different in the movie, but he does the same thing to Mantis

and Drax on Knowwhere.

The sentiment is there, however: Thanos is powerful, weird, and ready to turn anyone

into crafting materials at a moment's notice.

Morgan Stark

When you're a superhero, there's a 95 percent chance that your relatives will either be

other superheroes or villains that you'll one day have to face.

Even when you're apparently adopted, like Tony Stark, your secret brothers and cousins

will come along and derail your life.

Such is the case with Morgan Stark, Tony's rarely-mentioned cousin.

Morgan is an occasional hassle to Tony, a guy involved in mob business who sometimes

attempts to take over Stark Industries with his super-team, the Stockpile.

And like Iron Man, he throws on a high-tech costume, but calls himself Brass.

When you name yourself after the metal that tubas are made from, you're already off to

a pretty crappy start.

So, while it seems like Tony doesn't even really have any extended family to worry about

in the MCU, it's just a little alarming that Tony wants to name his unborn kid Morgan.

It's just a little like Batman naming his kid "Joker."

Don't do it.

Cauldron of the Cosmos

Doctor Strange introduced audiences to an array of what the mystical side of the MCU

might have to offer: living capes, the Eye of Agamotto, and the Wand of Watoomb are among

the treasures housed in the New York Sanctum.

Infinity War also confirms the presence of the Cauldron of the Cosmos:

"He can destroy life on a scale hitherto undreamt of?"

"Did you seriously just say 'hitherto undreamt of?'"

"Are you seriously leaning on the Cauldron of the Cosmos?"

"Is that what that is?"

The cauldron is basically Dr. Strange's time TV, allowing him to see into whatever era

he wants to muck around in.

In Marvel Team-Up #112, he uses it to check out a scene 20,000 years in the past, so it

doesn't really seem to have any limits.

Why he keeps it as a decoration in his stairwell is anyone's guess, but he's obviously not

happy when Tony Stark uses it to lean on.

And while it's not 100 percent confirmed, those bright red magical ropes that Dr. Strange

was using to restrain Thanos on Titan sure looked like the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak,

one of Strange's most iconic incantations.

Nevernude

Infinity War was directed by the Russo brothers, whose previous credits include directing multiple

episodes of the cult hit comedy show Arrested Development.

The bros hid one of Arrested Development's iconic vehicles, the stair car, in the airport

battle scene in Civil War.

They're back again with the Easter eggs, this time dropping one of the show's actual characters

into the Collector's assemblage of treasures.

It's a weirdly complicated reference, but if you check out the Collector's cases just

as the scene begins, you'll spot a bald, blue man in cutoff shorts lounging in the background.

Look familiar?

"You haven't auditioned yet?"

"Oh no, no, no I'm not in the group yet.

I'm afraid I just blue myself."

It's absolutely ridiculous, but we can see why the Collector would want him for his collection.

He's one of a kind.

Stan the Man

We're still not completely sure if Marvel Comics mastermind Stan Lee is the MCU's mailman,

security guard, cosmic watcher, or what… but we do know that in the case of Infinity

War, he's a bus driver for a bunch of punk kids.

The film gets Stan's cameo out of the way super early, just as Peter Parker's senses

get all tingly about the approaching donut of doom.

A Marvel-ous ending

Infinity War skips the mid-credits scene, pretty much because there's nothing left to

say after Thanos does his Thanos thing and turns half of the universe's living creatures

into frosted flakes.

But in the film's post-credits scene, Nick Fury puts out a last-second SOS to a mysterious

person who'll definitely have a huge role in the Avengers sequel.

It may not be obvious to anyone who isn't up on their superhero iconography, but it's

a teaser for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, scheduled for a 2019 release date.

Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a pilot who gets incredible abilities.

We're talking Thor levels of power, or maybe more.

No wonder MODOK develops a massive crush on her.

Also, can we finally get MODOK in the MCU, please?

"Tis some kind of that is a very big head!"
