L'ora del cambiamento | Documentario | Backstage [HD] - Duration: 5:13.
I've always wanted to make a documentary about World War 2,
with my grandfather as main character who joined it.
This has to be a timeless story.
In July 2016 I had already recorded another documentary called "The Longest Day",
from which I took inspiration for this new one called "Time for Change".
BEHIND THE SCENES
PRE-PRODUCTION January/February 2018
When we finished filming "Endless" in July 2017,
Eugenia and I had talked about this new project,
saying that the filming period would be short because it was just an interview.
"At lanch we were given a little portion of soup."
I've always had in mind that in this documentary in addition to the interview,
there was a picture-commentary as well.
But I didn't want to put them in the documentary as extra material.
I really wanted the photos to be there and my grandfather would comment on them.
What I did luckily two years ago though,
was take the pictures, scan and restore them in HD.
PRODUCTION March 2018
It snowed the whole day, according to weather forecast.
Since I couldn't move from home,
in the meantime I went to the attic to find the old pictures of my family.
"Ok. That's good."
And so I filmed this long sequence through a camera slider for the end credits.
A very beautiful sequence showing many memories that,
for the audience can't arouse emotions,
but for our relatives they can.
"How did you manage to build the house?"
"How did you?"
The actual day of filming took place in March.
My assistant Jacopo come and helped me. He took photos and handled the second camera.
My brother filmed the creative process.
"Welcome back. It's March 10 and today we're going to interview Mr. Pieressa."
Regarding Mr. Valter Pieressa, we visited and interviewed him.
But why did I choose him?
Because in September and October 2017,
I was invited to the Festival in Este in province of Padua,
called "United in Diversity" which hosted Este's Twinning Towns Delegations from all over the world.
I made a documentary thanks to which I met Mr. Pieressa, Rijeka (Croatia) Twinning Commitee Referent.
He responded admirably in the sense that he was very sympathetic and concerned.
POST-PRODUCTION March 2018
This documentary is entirely filmed with a 50mm f/1.8 Fixed Camera Lens.
It means more details and because it's a fixed lens there are less lenses,
so, overall, a better quality.
The audio is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1,
so there's a pureness never heard before.
My grandfather did brief cameos in my films.
Last year he portrayed the President of the Italian Republic.
He appeared in the film "Endless".
A very remarkable day.
For the final music I chose "Schindler's List" Theme. A very beautiful piano composition that I played.
In the end I truly believe that using this score can somehow take you to what happened during World War 2.

We are finishing off with a fun twist
on a classic slow cooker meal, a chicken pot roast.

for meal prepping, I add baby potatoes,
why the potatoes make great detectives?
Because they keep their eyes peeled.
Baby carrots, broccoli, celery, pearl onions,
frozen peas, chicken things, broth,
garlic, Worcestershire sauce.
Worceshire sauce, wocers, worster, woster sauce,
english sauce, brown sauce.
Butter or light olive oil, fresh thyme,
and salt and pepper to a freezer safe bag.
Get the air out, seal it up
and store in the fridge or freezer for later.
When you're ready to enjoy,
add that baby to your slow cooker and cook low and slow.
The chicken thighs still have some flavorful fat,
so don't worry, you aren't gonna miss out
on the flavor in this dish
just because you aren't using beef.
Meat and potatoes with veggies is just a classic,
hard to beat dish and I think you'll agree
once you try this easy recipe.

4 Games Whose Speedrun Was Beaten - Duration: 6:36.
Recently I've been considering what it means to beat a game.
Not just winning, or finishing it, but experiencing everything, until nothing's left to discover.
But when is that point?
Is a game beaten when the credits roll?
Or maybe it's when you beat every secret boss.
Or even when every collectable is acquired.
It's a neat concept to me, since it can be thought about from so many different angles.
This train of thought also led me to consider the question in the context of a speedrun.
Is it possible to 'beat' a speedrun?
Would that just mean beating the game?
Maybe getting a World Record, or Personal Best?
After consideration, I would argue that none of those necessarily result in a beaten speedrun.
For almost all runs, even those which are incredibly optimized could be reduced by several
seconds, or even just frames.
And there are many times where a record will stand for months, even years, until a new
glitch is discovered that opens the game up completely, decimating previous runs which
were thought to be unsurpassable.
This is often referred to as a "Holy Grail" discovery, as it completely changes the game,
revolutionizing the speedrun.
However some times simply cannot be reduced.
They are so optimal that it is either impossible to get a lower time, or it is so difficult
and improbable, that it's unlikely anyone will ever have a better run.
I've done some research and while these runs are uncommon, there are several notable
ones.
So for today I've compiled a list of 4 games, whose speedruns were beaten.
First off, we have to define when a speedrun is considered 'beat'.
For the purpose of this video I'll define a speedrun as 'beat', when it is either
impossible to get a lower time, or achieving a lower time is so improbable, that it's
unlikely anyone can or will achieve a lower time.
Of the games I've included, almost all have been broken down to their source code, making
it extremely unlikely that any more "Holy Grails" will be discovered, cementing the
current records as the fastest possible, and making it so they will continue to stand as
World Records for years to come.
Pokemon games are some of the most popular, and oldest speedrunning games, despite a ridiculous
amount of RNG.
Some games have to be restarted hundreds of times just to get good starting RNG for their
starting pokemon.
Since the game is so RNG dependant throughout, it's easy to assume that having a perfect
run is impossible, but… that's not quite the case.
There is a certain category, where it's physically impossible to have a lower time
than the current world record,, at least according to the metrics used by the community.
Through save corruption and menu manipulation , it is possible to warp directly to the final
room of the game, and enter the hall of fame, without even leaving your house.
When you do so the victory screen will state that you completed the game in 0 hours, 0
minutes, according to the in game timer.
Since the pokemon community measures speedrun times using in game time, rather than real
time, this time of 0 minutes is the fastest time physically possible.
While some may be able to beat the game faster than others in real time, according to the
community's metrics, there is no faster time, as the only value lower than 0 would
be negative, which is, obviously, impossible.
Whether or not you consider this as actually beating the game, is up for debate, however
there is certainly no way to finish the speedrun faster...
Super smash bros melee Is a relatively popular speedrunning game, but for today, we're
going to be taking a look at it's lesser known Target Smash speedrun.
In this mode players have to break all of the targets in a small area, as fast as possible.
This focus on speed makes it a natural mode to speedrun.
Each character has their own level, which utilize their unique ability and movesets.
This allows runners to optimize the game to the extreme, to the point where they are almost
perfect.
Many of the records in this category have stood for well over 5 years, despite many
individuals attempting to topple them in the interim.
However the runs themselves aren't technically perfect.
Through a TAS, or Tool Assisted Speedrun, which is method where controls are input frame
by frame through an emulator, runners have found that several of the long standing runs
can actually be beaten by a few frames, which would translate to several milliseconds in
real time.
The problem is, that Melee as a game, is incredibly technical, and this carries over to Target
Smash as well, making it very unlikely anyone will be able the current records, since it's
simply incredibly difficult.
The necessary inputs are so quick and precise, that they are practically impossible for a
human being to execute perfectly.
While this speedrun is not technically beaten, the runners have pushed the run to the edge
of what is humanly possible
Dragster is another example of a game whose limit's were reached, and beaten.
This game has an astounding 14 people sharing the world record time of 5.57 seconds.
Due to a certain amount of recent controversy surrounding it's speedrun, the game has
been torn down to each individual line of code and runners have found that it's impossible
to complete the game with a lower time.
Every single input for all 14 of the 1st place world record runs is frame perfect, and it's
impossible to shave even a millisecond off.
While others may continue to add their names to the list of world record holders, those
who do will have without a doubt beaten the Dragster speedrun, as a faster time simply
isn't possible.
There are some games that aren't challenging on a technical level, but are largely based
on RNG.
This means that if a run has perfect RNG and is executed well, then that run will result
in the fastest possible time.
The PC game Clue is a good example of this concept.
In a casual run, your aim is to find evidence hidden throughout the manor, which will incriminate
one of the other guests.
However, it's possible to accuse someone as soon as the game begins, and if the person,
weapon, and location you guess are all correct, then the game will immediately end and you
will have won.
Since a winning run will always have 3 perfect guesses, the only variable is how quickly
you can click.
If all three of your clicks are frame perfect, then it's impossible to have a lower time.
While this game is a bit of a joke as a result, it's speedrun has nonetheless, been beaten….

Jeep Wrangler Yukon Gear Dana 44F/44R Ring 4.88 Gear and Pinion Kit (2007-2018 JK Rubicon) Review - Duration: 5:52.
When you lift your Jeep and stick bigger tires underneath your fenders, you're gonna lose
some acceleration, performance, and fuel economy.
Re-gearing will regain those numbers lost making for a more comfortable and a more tolerable
ride in your JK.
This ring and pinion combo that I have here is by Yukon and will be a 4.88 gear ratio for
the '07 to '18 Rubicon owner looking for both the front and the back ring and pinion gears.
Because the Rubicon and the non-Rubicon have different size differentials, the kits do
differ so make sure you get the right one for your JK.
The Rubicons will have a Dana 44 in the front as well as in the back, and this kit has gear
size for those specific differentials.
Choosing the right gear ratio will depend on your year, your transmission, and your
tire size, and you can find tools and charts on our site in our learning center.
The charts will be underneath our drive train section for when and why you should re-gear
your Wrangler.
I would also like to mention that this is definitely a three out of three wrenches on
the difficulty meter, and unless you are a professional, I would definitely take your
Jeep to a trusted shop for installation.
Yukon is a very well known brand for its gears and axles and its proven in the construction
of their gears.
They're manufactured with designs to handle high torque and high-stress situations, as
they definitely should, being one of the main components of your driveline.
A lot of times when you get new gears, they can whine after some wear, but Yukon has designed
these to be one of the quietest gears yet as well as being super smooth.
This 488 gear kit will come with the ring and the pinion for both the front Dana 44
and the rear Dana 44.
I would like to mention that this just comes with those ring and pinion gears and it does
not come with any of the hardware to install them.
We do offer minor install kits with shim kits and basic bearings, as well as master overhaul
kits with all of the bearings, gaskets, and seals.
I always, usually, recommend a master overhaul kit because when you're in the differential
its always good to maintenance those bearings and replace those parts.
However, if you only have a few miles on your JK or its brand new, a minor install kit will
do just the trick.
I did mention before that the gear ratio will depend on what transmission, what engine,
and what tires you have, as well as the performance that you're looking to achieve.
The charts will show you which range you would want to be in whether it would be the minimum
ratio allowed for your setup with okay performance and mild trail use, a very good daily driving
gear with full-time overdrive and moderate trail use, or if you're looking for a gear
set that's still a fair daily driver but will have higher performance and torque for rock
crawling and higher elevations.
As long as you know what tire size you have, or what tire size you're looking to run, the
conversion will be fairly easy to figure out what gears are right for you and your JK.
The price on this is pretty fair because it's usually a higher priced modification at right
around $485.
In the 488 category, this will be your most expensive option for a kit with just the ring
and pinion gears.
Other brands like Alloy USA and G2 will about $80 cheaper, however like I mentioned, Yukon
is a very well known brand for all of their quality.
Now, with all of these kits, you will have to keep in mind that you will need an install
kit for the front and the back differential, so that will jump up the price depending on
what you pick between a master overhaul kit or a minor install kit.
We have those options if you want to take a look at them underneath our install kit
sections on the ring and pinion page.
But do keep in mind that all of those kits will differ depending on if you have the Rubicon
or the non-Rubicon as well as your year.
If you didn't want to go through all of the hassle of getting different install kits for
the front and the back and wanted a one-stop-shop, we do have options on the page for 488 gears
with the included master overhaul kits.
Overall, if you didn't mind paying a couple extra bucks for a brand you can trust with
quality components, Yukon has you covered.
Install will be a three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and I highly recommend
going to a professional to have your gears installed properly.
Installing gears is very in-depth and having the right gear tolerances is crucial to have
them last a long time.
Installing them improperly can lead to faster wear, so I would definitely take it to a Jeep
shop that you trust.
To give you a little bit of insight into what goes into installing these, you'll need to
drain the diff, remove the diff cover and the axle so you can get to the carrier.
Once you remove the carrier, then you can get to the nitty-gritty.
There's honestly a lot of numbers involved with gear tolerances, including measuring
your backlash, pinion depth and carrier and pinion bearing pre-load.
Backlash is the clearance between the gear teeth that let the gears mesh without binding
and provide space to lubricate the gears with oil preventing tooth damage or overheating
from friction.
Measuring pinion depth is also very important and its how far the pinion gear extends inside
the differential to help create a good backlash.
And lastly, your pre-load on your bearings is also very essential, which will maintain
the correct amount of stress for the meshing of the gears to create accurate displacement
of gear movement and increase your bearings' rigidity overall, especially with being the
force of your driveline.
All of that measuring will take place with, essentially, trial and error, shimming the
components and making sure that they are in tenths of each other.
After everything is shimmed and put back into the differential housing, it's just a matter
of putting those components that we took off in the beginning back on and filling up with
the right amount of gear oil.
So if you're looking to upgrade the performance in your JK, this 4.88 gear set by Yukon will
be a great option to check out.
