Waching daily Aug 2 2018

chris is uploading two videos in one day

what's up everybody this is Chris from the rewired soul where we talk about the

problem but focus on the solution and you know what you know what a big

problem is you know what the problem is that we're talking about today is that

we do not tell people enough how much that we appreciate them and today I

wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate you so here's the thing so

like this morning like you know I'm going to work a little bit later on

Wednesday so I uploaded a video and like there's like this thing we're like I

upload a video and it I've gotten to a size where I instantly get some views

right I honestly get some views and like I get comments I get notifications I do

my best to like reply to as many comments as possible or at least hard um

you know sometimes I just don't know what to say I've got me some ride-or-die

people like there's so many of you out there who are like loyal subscribers

we're like every time I upload like you've watch it like you check it out

right and then some of you go even further and you leave a comment and like

I appreciate these comments so much for a multitude of reasons one of them is

like I appreciate you giving me feedback whether it's positive or negative or

letting me know your thoughts it helps me understand more about what you're all

going through what you want me to talk about maybe I didn't touch on something

correctly like I appreciate all the criticisms as well as all the

compliments too but the other reason I appreciate it so much is because part of

my mission here at the rewired soul is to like create this community of support

and spread awareness and help educate people and help encourage each other and

all sorts of stuff and by some of you just posting comments like I don't think

some of you realize how you're impacting other people's lives right so you just

leave a comment like yo I struggled with this - here's what I did here's how I

got through it better not like that is huge and like I appreciate you I

appreciate you so so so much like this kinda late gripe or pet peeve I've

always had always had by the way it's maybe you

know the last five or six years since working on my mental health

I hate when there's like a national tragedy right or even a global tragedy

right there's so much wrong going on daily in the world and then you hear

like news outlets and stuff and like I always watch Philip DeFranco Philip

defranco's like my number one news source and whenever a tragedy happens

and thank God we haven't had one in a little while but he says like these are

the types of things that remind you to tell the people in your life that you

love them and I'm like heck no please tell these people every single day tell

people that you love and appreciate what they do and who they are in your life

like I challenge you all I challenge you all to just like pause this video or at

the end of this video pick up your cell phone and just text somebody text

somebody in your life who you appreciate who you're grateful for

maybe they helped you out like when you're at a low point maybe helped you

move maybe they just came over and I don't know just let somebody know what

you appreciate about them like we don't do this stuff enough we don't do it

enough we just need to tell people on a daily basis like you never know like I

have been surrounded by so much tragedy in my life like some of you who have

been here for a little while you saw my video about how I've had like over 70

deaths in the last year right like life is such a precious thing and I never

know who's gonna be here today who's gonna be here tomorrow I gotta let

people know like I appreciate them I love them Chris you're not doing a great

job letting your audience know this so I

appreciate it love all of you and here's the thing too I hope some of you can

show some self compassion to yourself in life love yourself like I think you

should think yourself for dedicating time to educate yourself more about

mental health by just watching my videos like thank yourself for taking that time

out of your day and I thank you for spending your time your time is so

precious it's so valuable and the fact that you want to listen to me talk about

mental health like that is something that I am forever ever grateful for but

also give yourself some things for like giving yourself a chance for not losing

hope for clicking on a video that might be able to help you like that is huge

and like last but not least I want to be thankful for like my YouTube community

support group right like there's so many people like I have like s videos from

life you know bipolar pug okay okay well actually is K aka bipolar pug

Ryan Liberty I talk to him a lot Charlie from authentic mental health judo from

positively dude oh my girl kalila over at post-traumatic victory and like so

many people that I can't even you know think of K oh wait no dinero que la

there's so many people that I know with like Kay or Kayla or kalila anyways

kayla from panko bunny like these people like help me encourage me and give me

advice on making these videos and keep going and like I'm glad that I get to

talk to them and they're here with me on this journey and you know my

girlfriend's always there to support me my son and everybody and now this is

like starting to sound like an Oscars acceptance speech and I really wanted to

make this a quick video but anyways back to you all I love you all I love you all

so much that's it that's it I just want to let

you all know that I love you I appreciate you I also appreciate you for

sharing my videos and trying to increase awareness and decrease the stigma and

all that kind of stuff so if you didn't learn anything else

today just remember chris loves you okay

The Swiss El Dorado for drones - Duration: 3:27.

From large to small, agile to robust -

the Swiss drone industry is diverse and fast-growing.

There are currently 80 companies that build or use drones.

One of them is Wingtra.

The start-up has developed

a photo drone to do landscape surveys.

The drone resembles a model plane.

The advantages: longer range and

simple handling.

You can simply place the drone on the ground,

plan the mission at that time, the area to be overflown,

and then press Go.

The drone takes off vertically but flies horizontally -

a combination of a helicopter and wing aircraft.

The Wingtra product is in demand

despite the high price of around 20,000 francs each.

The market potential in our surveying market -

the large areas -

is put at 600 to 700 million francs worldwide.

We imagine that in the next three to four years

we'll take a big portion of it -

at least 30%.

Verity Studios is another example.

Its mini-drones are used in theatres and concert halls.

The drones fly autonomously

and perform a pre-programmed ballet.

Show business is always interested

in creating something new, and producing new effects.

So far this was simply not possible.

It allows us to develop new areas.

We can make use of the empty space above the stage.

This allows us to create entirely new effects.

The customers include

well-known names such as the rock band Metallica or Circus Knie.

The drone developers met today

at the drone conference at ETH Zurich.

They want to make themselves heard

and just recently organized themselves in an association,

the Drone Industry Association Switzerland.

The drone industry is currently split into two.

There are the consumer drones - which we all know.

Tens of thousands now buzz about over Switzerland.

This market is very far advanced.

On the other hand we have the commercial segment -

an industry that is still very much in its infancy.

The potential there is reckoned to be much greater

than in the consumer area.

Reliability and safety are two key aspects

which we intend to solve with technology.

The government wants new rules especially for the drone industry.

Companies are in favour of this

as a well-defined framework also means better safety.

I think we will certainly be given some guidelines

but that's basically a good thing.

In this way we can make the skies safer

and that's the main thing for the professional segment.

Switzerland and its drones are reaching for the stars.

30 Life Lessons | Turning 30 | Doris Wanjiku - Duration: 10:58.

What's up guys welcome back to my channel in today's video. I'll be talking about 30 things that I've learnt in my 30 years

Oh my gosh, I'm turning 30 soon. And by the time this video is going live. I think I'll have done so

Oh my goodness!

30, so let's get to it if you like these kinds of videos will give it a thumbs up

please

subscribe to my channel and also click on the notification bell next to the subscribe button such that

you're going to be notified every time I post a video and also comment down below tell us what you've learned in

What you've learnt in your life in the past 30 50

10 years that you've been alive and

Let's build a community and a conversation and hopefully it's going to be awesome

Number one courage is found in action do and then you're going to be confident in whatever you're doing.

Two, ideas arise at any moment always carry a place where you can jot it down. Otherwise that idea is going to get lost

There's time for everything be a kid, be a teen when you're a teen,be a young adult you get the flow

Do what you need to do, and don't try to skip any stage

Block out all those people that are telling you you can't do it. You're not beautiful enough

You're not good enough block them out

and do you. Always express your feelings do not try to bottle them all up.

You're going to explode one day so

express all your feelings whether be positive negative and then that way... That's how you're going to learn how to deal with them.

Go far and wide while you are young when you do not have so many

responsibilities weighing down and you save up and go for those trips. Trust me

you're going to have a better worldview

once you have seen and interacted with other cultures. Of course learn some basic life skills

Learn how to ride a bike learn how to drive, learn how to cook using a pressure cooker

Do that. Some things need to be learned. They're going to help you in...

All through your life. Always respect your parents they give birth to you. There's no excuse

about it. Even if you do not agree with them on issues ensure that you are respectful even as you air out your views.

Peer pressure is at every stage man!

Whether you're young whether you're old, everybody has some kind of pressure be it positive be negative

just make sure that you are going with the positives much more than the negatives because eventually

those are the things that going to build you and make you have a better life

Don't complete with the Jonases. There is always going to be a person who is doing more

better than you and others who are doing way worse than you.

So enjoy where you are, and it's not a bad thing to look forward and

appreciate where people are going and also want to build your life towards a certain standard but

competing with them is just going to steal your joy. Your mind is your greatest -as I've always said

sure that you work it out with gratitude, with

affirmations, with things that are going to build you to not destroy you. Things like ingratitude, regret, resentment all those things just

scrape them out of your mind and

build up on the good. Always work on the small tasks that give birth to the big task.

Get the flow. If you, for example you want to be drinking two litres of water every day

you can't tell me that you're going to just sit down with a big bottle of water and just gulp it down.

Just spread it out throughout...

Spread it out throughout the day take a glass of water every two hours and

you'll see no pressure and you're going to get to your goal. You're the star of your story so be a star

Enjoy your life, be the center of your life. No one else is going to make a contribution that you are supposed to make so

be the star of your story!

Talent without action is actually null.

Some people are born with abilities

but if they do not sharpen them they lose them and some people are born without

abilities and once they sharpen them they gain them. Athletes do not win medals without training. Businessmen

do not just earn big bucks or money because they just sit around they polish their skills every day. Have clarity of vision

Always... This will make you have the steps to make your dreams come true without vision

you are going to get lost in the... In the mud somewhere. You're going to just

be swallowed up by the world.

I've also learnt if you stay long enough in a place or at place ensure that you know

people's names especially the people that give you service.

You know like saying (swahili) "Ule mama wa choo" some people may get. The person who cleans the loo. Always

refer to people with their first name. It is more respectful and it gives them some dignity like come on.

Time is fast and merciless. Once time is lost you're not going to get it back again

So use your time wisely spend it with the right people spend it in the right way with the right activities. Otherwise, it's gonna fly away.

Start saving when you are much younger

I wish I knew this earlier, but it's never too late

Save, save, save as much as you can that way

you're going to enjoy some of the things that come with saving much later

Health is your greatest asset guard it

ruthlessly, be it your mind health be it your spiritual health your physical health

Treat it and workout as much as you can. Feed it with the right things and the right things are going to come

out. You're going to get energy to get what you want in life.

You're going to gain and lose some friends along the journey.

People's lifestyle changes and people gain new friends when they go to different parts of the country where you go to different levels of

careers and all that. So some people even get families.

So be okay with the changes and appreciate the people

you gain along the way as you appreciate the people that you lose along the way it's just life. We all make mistakes

just learn from your mistakes and

move on do not dwell on them, nobody's perfect so learn from you mistakes. Just learn to do more good.

There's no perfect time to start anything just start and then you're going to get perfect in it

So if it's a skill that you're working on just start on it because you love it

and then as you polish it up you're going to get perfect.

As the adage goes practice makes perfect

Always prepare for the things that you want

If it's to travel, start saving now. If it's another job that you'd like, start learning about it now

such that once the opportunity comes you're going to be able to be ready to actually gain it.

I've also learned that you should always give everything the benefit of doubt do not just judge a book by the cover

Like that's a bad movie and you haven't even watched it. Like that's a horrible person and you haven't gotten to know them

Always give them the benefit of doubt such that you're going to know who they are. And once you've done that that's when you can...

You can know how to engage with them. Don't just

go ruling people off because

of their appearance or maybe a word that they said or

something that they did. Always collect more data before you actually judge

anyone harshly. Find time to pray and meditate in your time.

Like I said, you have to work on your spiritual muscle as well. That way you're going to be a wholesome person

Yeah, so always find time to do that

Whatever time is best for you, trust me. It is going to work wonders for you. Always delay gratification

whatever thing that you think that you want it immediately and right now always

delay that feeling of wanting at that particular time

you may find out that you do not actually need it.

If it's something you want to purchase like you've seen maybe a pair shoes

and you just want them just delay for a while you might find out that you do not want it. If it's someone that you want

to get intimate with

just delay on that and you might find that you really didn't even want to do that and it may

and it will prevent you from a lot of heartache.

And on that note choose your life partner or your spouse

very carefully because forever is a long time and with the rate of divorces and separations and all those things that bring

heartache to the world and hatred are

gotten from such things just make sure you

just pray that you get best person for you and...

Forever it's just a long time to be upset with one person.

Always take responsibility for your actions whether they be good or bad because come on as you grow up

these are some of the values that we need to treasure, that we need to cultivate that I

should not say that this place is too dirty and at the same moment you are

throwing out a piece of plastic bag or a

bottle off a window from a moving car and then you complain that the place is dirty and

the people are washing it are not doing a good job. Always take

responsibility for your actions.

Now my final

lesson is try out as many things that you want to do and

especially when you are young but even if you haven't done so

if you want to discover who you are or what you are best suited to do try out as many things that you want...

You are interested in and then finally you're going to get this...

The exact thing that you were most interested in and you're going to flourish once you concentrate on it. It's never too late to start

Do it whether you are late whether you're early everyone has their own place in life

So yeah, so those are my 30 life lessons that I've learned so far and

Of course

there are others that I did not mention but these are the ones that I could remember and I hope that you grabbed something from that

I know that they were super fast

but I wanted the video short because 30 lessons. That's a lot of

content to go through and if you liked the video just give it a thumbs up and hopefully you came to the end

subscribe to my channel and also

leave comment down below so that I can learn some of the things that you actually learned

Maybe I may learn something also from you. Thank you for watching and I'll see you next time.

Bye.

How to Build a Rig From FBX File With Transferring the Skin (3ds Max) - Duration: 7:14.

Hey, fellow animators, I'm Miloš Černý.

Let's first summarize what we actually want to achieve in this tutorial.

I have an .fbx file here, with a deer model.

When you import an .fbx with a previously rigged model into the 3d software,

it will most likely look something like this.

It has all the bones and the model is still skinned properly.

But you can see it doesn't have an information about it's rig anymore.

And therefore, you are not able to do any reasonable animating with it.

I bet you have already experienced a situation like this.

Maybe you have downloaded some .fbx on the internet, maybe you needed to get a rigged

model from Maya to 3ds Max, maybe you have just lost a file with the initial rig.

It doesn't matter.

Sooner or later you will probably get into a situation like this.

So what do we want to achieve then?

We want to rebuild a rig for this deer with exactly the same bones and skin as it was before.

And because you are on my channel, we will do a CAT rig of course.

A little side not here.

If you get these horrible bounding boxes around the bones and you don't want them, just

head to Customize, Preferences, Animation tab and switch Key Bracket Display to None.

Ok, so basically what we need to do is a fresh CAT rig from scratch.

But a big help for us is, that we will use the existing bones as guides of where we need

to place the pivots of the new bones.

So create a CAT Parent and a Pelvis.

Align the new Pelvis to the old one and of course, always make sure, you have all the

axis selected for both position and rotation and also Pivot points for both objects.

Now, I know that I always tell you to resize the bones properly so they match the model

as best as they can, for skinning.

But here it doesn't make any difference, because we have the skin already done and

we will just transfer it to this new rig.

So in this case, the size of the bones doesn't really matter.

Now a spoiler alert, we will have to do this alignment for all the bones.

So a pretty repetitive task but it usually only really takes a few minutes.

I will show you how I will do one Leg and then will probably speed up the rest of the process.

Start aligning the IK platform first.

If you don't have any reference bone for the IK platforms in your .fbx file, don't worry.

Just place the platform manually to the place where it fits the model.

Do the ankle after that, and then align rest of the bones from top to bottom.

The shortcut for Align is Alt+A by default.

That one will be pretty useful for this.

Sometimes the bones need more then one alignment because of the IK.

You could switch to FK though and align them that way to make sure they are on their places precisely.

Here I didn't think it's necessary however.

Ok so now I will speed this up as I said.

If you don't know how to build a fresh CAT rig for a quadruped, you can check one of

my older videos, or even my recent Dino-Bird series.

Both are linked below the video as well.

After we are done with this new CAT rig we will transfer the skin from the old one to this one.

So stay tuned.

However this doesn't take too long.

The whole process took me only something about 5 minutes.

This is a very simple rig though.

Ok, we are done.

Now to the more important and less known part.

Transfering the skin.

First I want to say though, this actually has nothing to do with CAT anymore.

It's a 3ds Max feature and can be used for any skin and any bones.

So we have a new rig done with all the bones renamed as well.

Let's select it and put it into a new layer to keep order in our file.

It's pretty important here, because here we can not get lost in the namings.

You can see I have two layers with rigs, one with the old one and one with the new one.

Now if we try to animate with the new rig, it of course doesn't move the mesh, because

the mesh is still skinned on the old one.

So we need to transfer the skin between them.

The mesh has the skin modifier but we can not just delete it and add the new bones because

that will basically just destroy the skin and apply a basic one.

What we need to do is to go to the last 'Utilities' panel, go to 'More...' and find 'SkinUtilities'.

These two buttons will appear.

Now with the mesh selected hit 'Extract Skin Data To Mesh'.

It will create this new mesh object with 'SkinData' in it's name.

And it basically has all the skin values saved in the that mesh.

They are two separate objects.

Now we need to select our main mesh and we can just delete the Skin modifier from it completely.

Because we have all the data saved in that new object.

Now if you select both meshes at once and go to Utilities Panel again to import the skin,

nothing will happen.

That's because the main mesh has to have a skin modifier with bones in it.

So let's do that.

Make sure you have the right one selected and apply a Skin modifier.

Hit Add bones, and add all the bones from the new rig.

Again, make sure you are selecting the right bones.

That's why it's important to keep order in your file when doing this.

Now when you select both meshes and hit Import Skin Data, this window will appear.

Here you basically just need to pair all the bones to their counterparts one-by-one.

You can do Match By Name if you have the names identical, but here it doesn't work for me

as you can see.

I could just delete the CATRig part from the Target Bones if I wanted, but I wanted to

show you that you can do it manually as well without any problems.

After you are done with all the bones just hit ok and you are done.

The new rig affects the model now, not the old one.

You can actually delete all the unnecessary parts now.

SkinData mesh, as well as the old rig.

Now everything is finished.

You have your CAT rig for animation and it exactly matches the bone placement and skin

from the .fbx file you had.

You can now create new animation layers and animate whatever you need.

A lot of people asked for this video and I was finally able to make it, so I hope you liked it.

Thank You to all my Patreons and if you enjoy my channel, subscribe, like and comment.

See you in a next video.

I am Miloš Černý and Thank You for watching.

The downside of start-up euphoria - Duration: 4:09.

I ended up abusing medications and harming myself.

That's when I realized this isn't fun any more.

It was really clear

when I woke up in the night with my heart racing and stomach cramps.

That was an extreme stress level.

Two women, two careers in the start-up sector.

On the one hand, business economist Johanna Seeliger:

She works for a start-up platform in Zurich,

runs workshops and seminars,

until it all becomes too much and she has a breakdown.

On the other hand, Zurich-based ice-cream producer Sonja Dänzer,

who created a vegan ice-cream brand

and narrowly escaped a burnout.

She is quick to remark:

The ice-cream business isn't all sweetness.

It's extremely tough and challenging to set up a product and a company

and to assert yourself in a market

that is dominated by big retailers.

That's hard for a small company.

I'm also glad that you're here.

Sonja Dänzer at home with her son.

Several years ago, in this kitchen

she began experimenting with her own ice-cream recipes.

And she has lots of other things on the go too.

I was simply over-burdened in various areas.

I'm a single mother, at the time with my small child,

I started to set up a business

while working on my PhD dissertation in ethics, philosophy.

And I had to take care of the household -

with everything that involves.

Things began to back up for Johanna Seeliger too.

She took on more and more at work, but it wasn't satisfying.

I no longer found my job fun.

I had to ... I felt as if I were on a treadmill.

For every problem I solved, three new ones cropped up.

Ultimately, she was unable to continue, fell into depression

and last year ended up with a full-blown burnout.

She was off work for four months,

had to take medication and is now having psychiatric counselling.

Sonja Dänzer didn't let it get to that point.

Because she had friends who had suffered from burnout,

she was aware of the problem and was able to apply the brakes in time.

She used a self-help book to learn

not to make such high demands of herself and how to set priorities.

And she distributes the many tasks among different people,

and has involved business partners in her start-up.

... very special company.

You can certainly have a burnout even with a team around you.

But it already helped me a lot

not to feel so alone any more with the whole thing.

Discussing problems, talking about ideas,

sharing tasks - that alone is a big relief.

Sonja Dänzer was thus able,

as a single mother and ice-cream entrepreneur,

to get everything back on track, including her dissertation.

Johanna Seeliger also found a way out of the burnout.

Step by step she's returning to the workforce.

This summer she even wants to set up her own start-up,

Beaver attack! - Duration: 3:58.

The Storzenweiher pond in Frauenfeld.

A beaver set up home here four years ago.

Today four of them live in this impressive lodge.

The return of beavers has cost a lot of work and money,

says Michael Vogel, a scientist who works for

the Canton of Thurgau's hunting and fishing authority.

They started building the dam

which we see below the pond we see here quite early on.

This caused the pond to leak, so we had to take action.

Wherever beavers settle,

they rearrange the landscape as they please.

They build dams to increase the amount of surface water.

and create different water depths.

In the 1960s, beavers were regarded as extinct in Switzerland.

Then they were made a protected species and reintroduced.

Today they are thought to number about 3,000.

Beavers also create a habitat for many other animals:

wherever beavers move in, diversity explodes.

There's certainly potential there which we shouldn't ignore

by only focusing on the damage.

But the damage is getting noticed.

Beavers cause fields to flood - like here in Aargau.

Or they tunnel under roads close to streams,

like here in Canton Bern.

We've got a classic case here:

Beavers have tunnelled from the river into the riverbank, and then come up.

And because they get near to the surface, this is what you get.

So the road has caved in twice here

and had to be repaired. Here there was a hole in the road.

During the second set of repairs

mesh was set into the ground

so that they can only dig as far as the mesh

and don't get under the road again.

Problem solved - here at least.

Work like that is expensive.

The cost of damage to infrastructure by beavers has to be

borne by the land-owner.

In the case of Storzenweiher in Frauenfeld, that means the association

which uses and looks after the pond and the surrounding area.

Apartment blocks stand downstream of the dam that had been damaged by beavers

so action had to be taken quickly.

Then the dam had to be rebuilt.

For that, the pond had to be emptied completely.

It was quite an expensive exercise

that cost our association 70-75,000 francs.

The town also made

a substantial contribution.

The beavers are back and the pond is secured by mesh

at all critical points against beaver damage.

Couldn't you have just destroyed the beavers' lodge

and driven the animals out?

Practice has shown that beavers are generally

more tenacious than people.

You can do things like that, but it's a lot of work

and you have to persevere.

Once a beaver has learned that it's worthwhile

and that he's found a niche, it's very difficult

to persuade him otherwise.

In future, the federal and cantonal authorities should also pay for

preventive measures and infrastructure damage caused by beavers.

At least that's what Canton Thurgau wants to achieve with a cantonal initiative.

Meanwhile the beaver experts are thinking about long-term solutions:

Above all there are conflicts with beavers along man-made watercourses.

In places where they are reasonably natural

there are almost no problems.

That would really be the long-term solution.

But because we can't implement it overnight in all the places

where we have problems with beavers, we might sometimes

need to resort for a while

to the solution of removing the beavers.

That's already a possibility.

Whether it's simpler to resettle beavers or kill them is something

the politicians should decide now.
