Hey.

What's up, guys?

I'm Ryan from Extreme Terrain, and today, I'm here with the Rugged Ridge Non-Locking

Fuel Door for your '97 to '06 Wrangler.

This is gonna be for anyone that's looking to change up the outside appearance of their

Wrangler and really doesn't like looking at that factory gas cap.

This is an easy bolt-on that requires no modification and drilling and attaches directly over the

factory gas cap.

This is made of polished aluminum and has a gasoline-resistant coating, so it's gonna

last you a long time.

This is gonna be your most affordable option on this site at around $60, and as far as

install goes, I'm gonna give this one out of three wrenches since you can install this

in under 20 minutes using simple hand tools.

With that being said, let's jump into the install.

First step for this install is to remove these four screws.

If you have the factory screws, it should be a Phillips-head.

I have replacement ones, so I'm gonna use a flat-head.

So now that you've removed the factory screws, you're ready to install the new cover using

the provided hardware.

So we're just gonna place this over...

Well, guys, that wraps up my review and install.

How Colours Affect Lighting Design | ARTiculations - Duration: 6:40.

If you're ever pick up a paint colour chip and flipped to the backside, it probably says

the name of the colour, the colour code, and often also something that says

Light Reflectance Value.

Most people will probably never pay attention to this number.

But if you're a curious individual, which I assume most of you watching this video are,

you might wonder, what does this number mean and what is it used for?

Light Reflectance Value is a measurement of the amount visible light, when illuminated

by a light source, that's reflected by a surface in all directions and all wavelengths.

It's a value that's generally used by Interior Designers, Lighting Designers, and Architects

to determine what is the most appropriate colour to use on a surface.

Of course, it's not the only factor that matters in colour selection, but it is one of

the most important, yet also often overlooked aspect of design.

Light reflectance value not only affects how light or dark a space looks and feels

It also dramatically affects the performance of lighting sources, the ability to reflect

and absorb natural day light, the energy efficiency of the building, as well as accessibility

for people with visual impairments.

To understand how Light Reflectance Value works, we first have to be clear about what

the word "value" means in the context of colour.

There are three main properties of colour: Hue, Saturation, and Value.

Hue is the classification of colour on the spectrum, these are your reds, blues, greens,

oranges, yellows, etc.

While Hue is generally important in determining the aesthetic feeling of a space, to someone

with colourblindness, they may not see a difference between colours of different hues.

Saturation is the intensity of the colour, how dull or muted a colour looks

vs. how intense or vivid it is.

Saturation is often confused with Value, as it may seem like an intense colour is

"brighter" than a dull colour.

But saturated colours vary in value and often can be very dark when it comes to

the amount of light it actually reflects.

Light Reflectance Value is expressed from 0 to 100.

0 means the colour absorbs all the light and reflects nothing.

100 would reflect 100% of the light.

In everyday reality though, nothing will absorb all the light.

I mean, unless your wall is, like, a black hole, but that would be a big problem.

Even the darkest paint will usually have an LRV of about 3 to 4.

And generally the highest LRV you'll see are in the low 90s.

A designer will evaluate what is the functional requirement of the space, how much access

is there to windows and natural light, what lighting fixtures are used in the space

what is the energy requirement of the project, and use these factors to determine what is

the appropriate LRV each surface needs to have.

So lights come in varying levels of lumen output.

But how much of the light emitted from a source ultimately ends up being usable depends on

a lot of different factors.

One of these factors is how reflective the surrounding environment is.

A room, especially the ceiling, that's painted in low LRVs colours will dramatically reduce

the amount of light that's in the space.

Some environments require higher light levels than others.

For example a designer will typically specify ceiling LRVs of 85 or more, and wall LRV of

70 or more for office environments where detail tasks are being performed.

In a boutique retail shop, or nightclub, lower LRVs may be used

to achieve a darker, more intimate atmosphere.

However the designer will still need to ensure that the light levels are appropriate for

employees to perform their tasks and for everyone to get around safely.

In most commercial projects, an interior designer will coordinate LRVs with a lighting designer,

who will carry out lighting calculations and other photometric assessments in order to

develop a lighting plan that achieves required light levels.

Some property owners and/or municipalities may also have energy requirements

such as wattage restriction on artificial lighting, or requiring the use of daylighting.

In this case, increasing the LRV of ceilings and vertical surfaces may be needed to maximize

the reflectance of natural light and reduce the amount of artificial lighting needed for

the occupant to safety and effectively perform their tasks.

After all, it's literally a sustainability strategy that costs nothing.

Designers also use LRV to design spaces that are inclusive of people with disabilities.

Contrary to popular belief, most blind people have some level of vision, but many will have

trouble distinguishing one surface from another if their values are too similar.

Thus, using high value contrast between surfaces is crucial in ensuring occupants

can get around safely and efficiently.

For example, handrails, stair-nosings, start of ramps, edge of platforms, and signage graphics

should have a high level of contrast against their surroundings

to be visual apparent to the viewer.

Most accessibility standards recommend a 70% contrast for these locations.

This is the formula for calculating 70% contrast.

While in most places it's only a recommendation, in some locations, such as in detectable warning

surfaces in California, it's a mandatory building code requirement.

It's important to remember that these design decisions not only helps blind people

it makes the environment more accessible to everyone, including near-sighted people like me

when I'm not wearing my contacts or glasses, or any person in low-light conditions

such as during a power outage when only the emergency lights are on.

In my many years of being a designer I've definitely heard people joke about how

all we do is pick colours.

And honestly I don't take it as an insult.

While it's obviously far from all that we do, choosing the right colour is

a really important job.

It affects the environmental experience of the space, contributes to human comfort,

influences energy efficiency, and is crucial in ensuring safety and accessibility.

Thanks for watching everyone!

tell me i'm pretty - Duration: 6:56.

Welcome back!

I just thought, you know... mmm... hmm...

Maybe I would like to come back to this.

It could be fun.

It has its potential to be fun.

So, I'm gonna dye my hair right now, 'cause that gets views!

I really wanted to rip that open right when I said that.

Oh, what's on the wall?

I've recently decided that I'm gonna start doing my own hair.

I've been going to the same hair stylist for... oh god, twelve years?

Ugh, how old am I?

[laughs] So, I'm gonna start dyeing my own hair now.

I did dye my own hair, I bleached my own hair, and I cut my own hair.

Um, it was pink, I had a bit of a hair disaster, 'cause it was blue, then it was pink, whatever.

[gurgles] So now, I'm gonna do orange.

Cool.

I was talking with some people...

I went to SITC, I should start with that, I guess.

I went to SITC again this year.

Um, not inside SITC, but around SITC.

Uh, I was speaking with someone and I was saying we need a-- we need a YouTube Renaissance,

you know?

So, I'm taking it upon myself to start this.

Um, I'm gonna lead us all, it'll be all right, guys.

I don't think I needed this much.

[snorts] I'm gonna end up looking like the fucking Nickelodeon sign, aren't I?

Maybe you can hear me over all of this fucking squeaking.

Oh, goodness.

Oh, I should wear my gloves.

Fuck. [snorts] I'm a professional.

I wish I was um, just at this moment, uh, more popular, just so I could-- I feel like

this is the type of thing where people do like, Q and A, you know?

So um, I'm just gonna make up my own Qs and A them for you.

Q one, where have you been for six months?

Well, I've been working.

Um, I got a job.

Look at me go.

I do subtitles and captioning now.

It's a pretty all right gig.

If people I work with are watching, it's a great gig, love it so much, don't fire me.

I feel like, um...

Judge Doom... right now.

Since I've had Toontown under my jurisdiction, my goal has been to reign in the insanity,

and the only way to do that is to make toons respect... the law.

Cool.

I can't tell if you can see, um, but there's some brown stuff up here.

It's cinnamon.

We had ants.

Um... it was a gross time.

So now... [snorts] great transition, I'm gonna start dyeing my hair.

SITC was great.

I keep saying "SITC", meaning my trip to London.

But it was a great time.

I got to see many people that I love so dearly.

I knew it'd make me sad when I went beforehand, because it just confirms that I want to move

back there and actually stay there more permanently.

And I can't as an American, it's very difficult to do, so, basically my next scheme that I

have in the works is trying to figure out how I can move there, which is an ongoing

scheme I've had throughout my life, but, it's in full force right now.

So that's my... current plan.

Oh, I probably should've done a st-- strand-- strand test, shouldn't I?

I don't really care.

[snorts] I-- I'm realizing I don't give a fuck. [laughs] I'm just gonna do this.

Oh, that's very orange.

I should've done a strand test.

Oh, cool, I got dye on my face already.

Dope!

Oh, I moved!

That's another thing.

For those classic jesstheindecisive fans, um, I'm back where I lived in college.

Um, well, kind of.

Like, my family home, you know, like, so where I lived in high school, I'm actually back

living there now.

Not with my mother, but with a friend, a roommate.

It's my first time living away from home in that way, like, obviously I lived away from

home when I lived on campus, but, it's the first time living away from home, like, paying

my own rent.

Yeah, first time, you know, doin' that adult shit.

It's been good so far.

It's been... what, three, four months maybe? Five?

I don't know.

I have no concept of time.

I also just wanna say, if you're in the position to be able to, you know, buy your own hair stuff,

and to dye your hair, and like, you're in that position in life that you're able to,

but you're just a bit like, afraid to, fucking go for it, man.

Oh shit, I should've put on vaseline on my ears.

Fuck.

It's a nice like, freeing feeling to be, like, in control of your hair.

I feel like objectively it sounds a bit silly but like, it's something that I realized as

I was doing this that like, I did feel a bit trapped that I couldn't do anything with my hair.

Even though I've-- I've had like, a lot of different hair styles and I tend to change

up my hair a lot.

But even so, like, I still felt like I have to depend on other people for it.

Like, at least dyeing it myself has been nice of like, I can do it myself, I don't have

to depend on other people, like, it can be what I want, I can pick the color I want,

I can mix and match things that I want, and it'll turn out fine.

It'll be okay, you know?

Oh, this is gonna get all over my neck, I'm so dumb.

I think we all just need to be a bit more confident in ourselves.

Is that gonna be the moral of this story?

I think it might be.

I'll be honest, a big part of why I didn't come back, back as in like, making videos

still, is because I got like, very, very, very insecure and like, other mental health

reasons and stuff, and also I did just genuinely get busy.

I think if I had had that like, self confidence, I would've made the time to do videos again.

It is like, very validating to do this.

I don't know if we often admit that publicly, but like, we should, like, it's something

that like, makes you feel good when people like your stuff.

Even if it's something silly like this where I'm just like, fucking dyeing hair, like,

I'm gonna get a view on this video because of you.

If you potentially like the video, as in like, physically like the video, like, I'm gonna

see that, and it's gonna make me feel good that I'm like, "Oh!

I did something silly and people liked it, and that-- it made me feel good, it made them

feel good, it's a good feeling."

It's nice to be validated.

Why do we try to hide that?

Why do we try to say it's just... just about the... the thrill of the making, no, I like

to be validated.

Tell me I'm pretty.

[laughs] Tell me my hair color looks good.

Tell me I look like the Nickelodeon sign, which is what I'm aiming for, it's not gonna be an insult.

Well, in my head it made sense.

I feel like they-- they correlate, you can make the correlation in the comments, you're smart enough.

You understand.

Self doubt, owning your look and your body and how you express yourself, which for me,

my hair is how I express myself a lot, owning that, and not being... as afraid to share it.

'Cause, you know, someone will like it.

And maybe it's not the people that you want to be the ones who like it, but, does it matter then?

Like, do you really need them to like it?

Is that gonna change anything?

Is it gonna change the fact that you had a bangin' time, dyeing your hair, lookin' good,

feelin' good?

Nah, mate.

It's not.

Alright, this is getting a bit preachy, um, I'll stop this here, and then I'll show you

what it looks like when I'm done.

How the fuck am I gonna turn off the camera?

Oh... [sighs] this is awful. [laughs]

Linux Setup of Generic Input Devices for Accessibility and Macros - Duration: 16:43.

this is a three-button transcription foot-pedal featuring rear pivoting

buttons and a USB interface I thought this was a pretty good score at a thrift

store now I'd pick this up because I figured I

must be able to come up with some kind of use for it and gee would have made

sense if I'd started using this when I started adding subtitles to my YouTube

videos but that would have made too much sense but anyway I finally have a use

for it and I'm really looking forward to getting it implemented because I

recently got a new USB microphone to use to make my videos this was a Marantz MPM-2000U

a USB condenser microphone unfortunately yes you heard me right

this is a USB microphone so I can't connect it to my camera while I'm

recording this means that I have to use a computer to record it while I'm making

my videos which sucks but it also means that I have to start recording on two

different devices now which brings me back to the USB foot pedal I want to use

this to control audio being recorded by my computer while I'm filming I figure

if I can control it as a foot pedal I'll be more likely to remember to actually

do it and not screw up all the audio in my videos but that means I need to do

some custom configurations in Linux now before we get started setting this up in

Linux I just want to point out that even in Windows here this device just shows

up as a regular human interface device not as a keyboard and it doesn't do

anything by default so what I'm about to show you how to do in Linux you would

still have to do something like in Windows to be able to make this do what

you want before we get started setting this up in Linux I want to let you know

that I've created a github repository with a much more detailed set of

instructions so if you have a difficult time following along with this video or

just want to be able to see exactly the commands I'm running go check that out

I've put a link in the description to it so the first thing we're going to do is

create a new udev file that will be loaded by the operating system that says

how our device will be configured we're going to go ahead and add this line to

the file and the parts that are the "YYYY" and the "XXXX" we need to replace

with the USB vendor and product IDs now we can get those by running an lsusb

command with the device connected and then looking for

something that looks like what our device would be reported as so in my

case it's obviously a foot pedal so we can assume that's it now these two IDs

are what we're looking for so I'm gonna go ahead and copy those then I'm gonna

go back and edit my file and put those in there now I just copied and pasted

these values in here but you can't actually do that because these need to

be all caps for udev to recognize it to work properly so make sure you update

it like that so that's what I need to identify my foot pedal to Linux go ahead

and write and quit that now the next thing we need to do is figure out what

the event number is for our device so I'm going to do "ls /dev/input" and from

here we can see we have several event files now these are just virtual

interfaces to the hardware itself so we need to figure out which one of these is

mapped to our input device it's easiest to do this by using the by-id folder so

we can look through here and we can again find something that looks like my

foot pedal so what we're going to do is do "ls -l" which will tell us where

the file is actually located because everything in the by-id folder is a

symbolic link so we can see the foot pedal is event 21 now the actual event

file there doesn't really matter all that much because you can also just use

the symbolic link for the next step either way works I just tend to work

with the event number files now the next step is actually going to be figuring

out the scan codes for your generic input device so we need to figure out

what those are so we can remap them now that we have the event file location we

need to figure out what these scan codes for your generic input device are so

we're going to run an evtest on it to figure out what these scan codes for

each individual button are so once we run that we'll see it's brought up some

generic information about the device and we can see it is my VEC USB foot pedal

now I'm going to press every button on the device that I want to remap so left

button middle button and right button so we can see that my devices scan codes

are 90001, 90002, and 90003 so

those are the scan codes I'm going to remap to regular keys now we can quit

this and go back to the hardware device rules and we're going to add the

information about what our scan codes are the way these work is you need to

have the "KEYBOARD_KEY_" scan code to identify which

keys you want to remap so if you had different scan code numbers you just

replace that part with what yours is since mine were the 9000# numbers I

have to use these and that's just about everything you need to know to be able

to remap this so what we're going to do now is set this to some standard keys so

this is all you have to do we can set this to say "a" we can set this one to "w"

and we can set this one to "d" so that's it that will allow us to remap the

buttons on my foot pedal to standard keyboard keys let's go ahead and save

this file and now we need to reload the configuration to update the system so

there are two commands to do this and once all that's done we can start

pushing buttons on our device and have them show up as custom keys now these

particular keys I just bound are, well, standard movement keys in video games

so let's go ahead and try out using my foot pedal for a character movement in a

first-person shooter

I think that pretty well demonstrates how even just a simple three paddle

device like this could be used for accessibility for something like gaming

now while it is useful to be able to bind specific single keys to the buttons

it's somewhat limited still we can't do macros for doing more complex actions in

different software such as what I want to use Adour now Adour would be

just fine with the single button mapping except for the fact that in order to

record you have to push shift R to start the record feature so simply pushing R

or space isn't going to be sufficient and every time you go to start a

recording you have to push that after you stop recording its unselected so it

doesn't work I need a more complicated key mapping we're gonna go back and edit

our udev configuration file again but this time we're gonna change the keys

from just standard keys like you might expect to see to more peculiar ones I'm

going to set it to f16 through f18

these keys do technically still exist in the scan interpretation software they're

just not put on keyboards anymore so we can use those to our advantage because

you're not likely to need to be able to press those keys in any of the programs

you use what we'll do from here is create some kind of mapping for those

keys to depress key shortcuts or combinations now I'm going to show you

two different ways you can do this one way we'll be creating a script that

reads the key presses and then running commands to press key combinations and

the other is xbindkeys which will automate the process and make it a lot

simpler to set up but doesn't give you as much control with what you can do

with it so first let's look at the script solution in the github repository

I've included a file that demonstrates how you can set this up so let's go

through how this works so first we have this really long command that sets a

variable called id so the first part of this command

is running "xinput list" which gives us a list of all of the X server input

devices we can see here that my foot pedal is device 18 now we need this

number so we can identify it with the "xinput test" command we're going to be

using that reads key scan codes from a device now from the"x input list" we get

this really long output that can't be easily put into a variable so the next

few commands are simply just stripping away everything except for the ID for

one particular row so what you would need to do if you wanted to use this

file yourself is change out where it says VEC to something else unique that

identifies your device in the "xinput list" then the rest would take care of it

for you and you'd get the ID back after we get the ID we just print it out to

ensure that it's working once you have the X input ID we're going to go through

and read each line that the command "xinput test" spits out so when we run the

"xinput test" command for my device which is ID 18 and I press the buttons on the

device we can see that we get a different output for each one when it is

depressed and released now the depression and released outputs aren't

quite true it's doing a virtual key press so I'm still holding the key down

and it continues to output release signals which aren't really that helpful

we would have to get a little more complicated and use evtest to read

the key inputs which is doable but but just a little more complicated but let's

continue with this so we can see here that we have the key presses with the

numbers and we are going to go ahead and read those in the file up here so every

time a new line comes in it's put into the variable in and then we check if

that line equals one of these lines and when it does it just runs a script with

a parameter that is the key that was pressed now if we look at the inputAction.sh

script here we can see that we save that parameter to a variable called

button and then we have a simple if statement tree for each button

possibility that we would want to handle inside of the if statements we have

another command called xdotool this is a tool that allows you to send virtual

key presses to the X server you will need to install this to be able to use

it in your screen but to use it all you have to do is

"xdotool key" and then the name of a key to be able to send a specific key press

there are more complicated commands such as keydown and keyup

that you may want to use if you're going to send a more complicated key sequence

but if you don't need to press certain keys in a specific order then you could

probably get away with just the key option now the names for the keys used

with xdotool aren't necessarily the most intuitive things and you may have a

difficult time figuring out which is what now in order to figure out what key

names you need to use with xdotool you may want to use another program called

xev with it you can just depress any key on the keyboard and it will output the

name of the key that you pressed here so for example page down shows up as next

and page up shows up as prior so that's why I had to use those names in my

script or blender so this set up here is actually for blender we have next which

is actually page up and prior which is page down bound to the outer buttons on

my foot pedal and then alt a is the blender shortcut for starting playback

of the animation so with this set we can close this run keyListen.sh and now every

time I press a key something will happen so let's go ahead and open a blender

project and see how that works so if I push the buttons on the sides of my

pedal then it will skip forward and back over the tracks in the VSE

and if I push the center pedal it will begin playback and then I can push it

again to pause it then we can just close this script by hitting ctrl C and that's

it so that's how you can set it up with a script to be able to read the key

inputs now let's look at how you can do it with xbindkeys now to set up xbindkeys

first you're going to need to install it with the simple apt-get

command but after you do that you'll want to run this command which will

create a default configuration file in your home directory after you've created

the initial configuration file all you have to do is just edit it and then you

can put in the keys that you want to respond to these are what I've added

after the default example one it has here we can actually comment this out

because we don't need that so I'm running the "notify-send"

command which just lets you have a notification pop up with your desktop

environment and then these are the keys I'm responding to so in the example up

here we can see that control shift Q would have run the xbindkeys_show

command but I have these weird ones well those weird keys I'm using are

actually the scan codes for F16 through F18 if we run "xinput test" again and

press our keys we'll see that those are the numbers that are being output you

can just put F16, F17, and F18 into xbindkeys configuration file but I find

using these scan codes to be a little bit more precise when you're using

really weird keys like this once you have a configuration file defined you

can just go ahead and save it but then you need to start xbindkeys now if you

want to xbindkeys to run every time you start your computer you can also do auto

start it as a separate command that will configure it to start up every time for

now let's just go ahead and start it and I'll press a key on my pedal and you can

see in the upper right I got a notification that I pressed the middle

pedal now I'll press the left and the right so that was a very easy setup for

getting commands to register from key presses just like with the custom script

we did you can use xdotools with xbindkeys to send a single command of a

shortcut key or you might be better off using a separate script like inputAction.sh

that interprets those key signals into other key combinations xbindkeys

can only output one single command for each key press well I think that's

everything I wanted to cover about setting up a custom input device in

Linux I hope this information is useful to people especially if you're trying to

set up an accessibility device I could see these foot pedals which are like 20

bucks used on eBay being very cheap easy options for people

who may not be able to use their computers in the traditional ways or

maybe you just want to be a power user or like me have a situation where you

can't normally access your mouse and keyboard and it's just more convenient

to set it up like this either way I hope that was useful and I'll see you next

time

Roadtrek Zion SRT vs Hymer Aktiv 1.0 | Which Short Camper Van Will Win? - Duration: 12:17.

Today we're doing a head to head comparison between the Hymer Aktiv 1.0 and the Roadtrek

Zion SRT.

Which one of these short camper vans will come up the winner?

It's hard to say because both these vans are really great in their own way.

Hi everyone I'm Neil Balthaser

this is Ultramobility your channel all about class b and b+ camper vans.

If you love class b camper vans or you're looking to buy

then this is your channel and you should subscribe

I do reviews and head to head comparisons like this every week.

Now this isn't the first nor the second head to head competition for the Aktiv.

We've previously pitted it up against one of my personal favorites the Pleasure-way

Lexor FL and the ever-popular Winnebago Travato 59G.

Each time the Aktiv's come up the winner.

But this head to head comparison's different because both these vans are built on the Ram

Promaster 2500 chassis and that gives them exactly the same exterior and interior dimensions.

BOTH are also built by Erwin Hymer Group North America.

That means they have similar levels of fit and finish, quality and warranties.

But, each has a different layout and each has made different compromises and design

choices that set it apart from the other.

Does one do a better job than the other?

Let's jump inside and find out.

The biggest difference between the Zion SRT and the Aktiv is that the Zion has the ever-popular

(at least here in North America) rear lounge with a convertible sofa bed setup.

Why is this layout so popular here in North America?

Because it is a superior lounge to the Aktiv's.

All the short comings of the Aktiv's lounge are addressed here: You've got lots of comfortable

seating for 4.

If that wardrobe wasn't there you'd have room for 5.

Not only is there lots of seating the sofa electronically reclines so that you can lay

back and watch a movie.

Speaking of movies the 24 inch flat screen tv is sensibly placed so that everyone in

the lounge can watch it.

An important note however is that the TV is not standard in the Zion.

It's an $850 upgrade.

A table can be easily put up so that family and friends can share a meal.

There's plenty of head room, lot's of light from all those windows and when the weather's

nice you can fling open those back door and with the optional screen package let the outside

in.

I mean as lounges go, this is a great setup.

There's also 2 3-pt seatbelts which makes the Zion SRT as suitable for family camping

as the Aktiv.

As a bonus you get a front lounge as well.

Just move the pedestal table up to the front and swivel the captain's chairs around.

Now someone can be using the front lounge while someone else is in the rear lounge/bedroom.

Now let's head into the Aktiv's lounge.

It's a permanent lounge situated here in the front of the van.

It's kind of cool because it uses the cab as living area when you swivel those front

seats around.

I like that the table has an extension that flips up when you need it.

Like the Zion SRT there are 2 3-pt seatbelts for the jump seat which means that like the

Zion the Aktiv is suitable as a family camnper van.

The jump seat however is on the small side.

You're not going to get a couple adults sitting there comfortably like you can on the Zion.

Also, the jump seat doesn't recline.

The TV's in a terrible position sitting behind the jumpseat so movie night with the family

isn't going to be possible.

On the plus side, it is a standard feature, unlike the Zion.

Lighting is poor in the Aktiv's lounge but I love that giant pop up sun roof.

It gives the Aktiv an open and airy feeling during the day.

So the lounge in the Aktiv is nice but the Zion's lounge is superior.

Moving on to the galley.

The galleys are pretty similar.

They're both located on the passenger's side of the van and like the Aktiv you get about

the same counter prep space, a 2 burner propane stove, the same microwave and a similarly

sized sink.

But the Zion SRT gives you a ton more storage since that refrigerator and microwave can

stay on the driver's side freeing up all the cabinet space above and below the counter.

Plus, the refrigerator is much larger at 5 cubic feet.

Also, the Zion offers an induction cooktop option which the Aktiv doesn't.

As far as electrical systems are concerned: They're almost identical.

Both come with 2 lead acid batteries standard, a 2000 watt inverter and optional solar.

An underhood generator is optional on the Zion so as a base package the Zion is pretty

lacking.

Here we are inside the Aktiv's galley.

You can see that there's a lot less galley storage than on the Zion SRT because the microwave

and refrigerator have been moved onto this side of the van to free up space across the

aisle for the bathroom.

While the microwave is the same size, the refrigerator is considerably smaller.

Speaking of bathrooms let's just get this out of the way: The Aktiv features a 5 gallon

cassette toilet.

You'll either love or hate the cassette toilet.

The Zion has a much larger 9 gallon black tank.

Now I prefer a black tank because you have to empty your gray tank anyways so... while

you're at it you can simply pull the black tank valve and empty your black tank as well.

That's just me.

We touched on the electrical systems but it's important to note again that the Aktiv comes

with that underhood generator standard while the Zion's is optional.

Like the Zion you can upgrade the Aktiv to 400 amp hours of lithium with a $5,000 Eco-Trek

upgrade.

It's the same upgrade for both vans.

Also both offer Voltstart as a $1900 option so that you can have the van start its engine

automatically to recharge your lithium batteries.

That's useful if you have pets and you're away and need to run the air conditioner.

So I'm kinda torn on the galley.

On the one hand the Zion SRT's gives you a lot more storage and a bigger refrigerator.

But without a standard generator its electrical system is lacking.

Is it better to have more kitchen storage or a standard underhood generator?

I know what my preference is.

Do you?

Alright, let's talk bedrooms.

Here we are in the Zion SRT's bedroom.

On the Zion SRT the lounge converts to the bedroom.

You push a button to lower the sofa into a good sized bed.

It's plenty big for 2 people and it has the added bonus that you can either fill in that

middle section with cushions to have one large bed or leave it open and have two twin beds.

Flexibility in your bed configuration is a real strength of this particular layout.

I prefer leaving that middle section open so that it's easier to get in and out of bed

without crawling over the other person.

Another plus for the SRT's bed is that it is a good height.

You're not going to have to climb up and down into bed.

Just swing your legs out and your feet are touching the ground.

A minus though for the SRT's bed is that it is not as comfortable to lay in as the Aktiv's.

You can feel the seams and those ottomans don't use memory foam.

Because the bedroom is converted from the lounge you get the benefit of having a 24

inch TV in your bedroom.

Jumping into the Aktiv's bedroom we can see we have a completely different configuration.

Here the bed is permanent.

You can leave it down and made up and still have your front lounge.

That's a big plus for the Aktiv's.

It's not a huge deal to have to make your bed up every night but it sure is nice not

having to.

The bed is a pretty good size.

Two people are going to sleep comfortably AND I can tell you that the bed in the Aktiv

is much more comfortable to lay in.

The mattress is a proper mattress and there's a wooden slat system to give the mattress

support.

The biggest disadvantage of the Aktiv's bed configuration is that you're going to have

to climb over the other person to get into and out of the bed.

That and the bed is up higher so you're going to have to climb up and down to get into it.

Those may not be deal breakers but its an important consideration.

The biggest difference between the Aktiv and the Zion SRT's bedrooms is that the Aktiv's

converts into a garage!

Just flip that bed up against the wall and you have a huge garage with tons of storage

above and below including pass through storage for long or bulky items.

That's just a huge advantage the Aktiv has over the SRT.

So whos wins this head to head comparison?

The Zion SRT with its highly functional lounge and tons of kitchen storage or the Aktiv 1.0

with its versatile front lounge and tons of garage storage?

PAUSE...

I have to give it to the Aktiv 1.0..... again!

The biggest strength of the Zion SRT is its rear lounge but honestly, the Aktiv's lounge

holds its own.

It's not like the SRT's lounge just blows it out of the water.

But, the bedroom/garage of the Aktiv does blow the SRT's bedroom out of the water.

In a bedroom sleeping comfort is paramount and the Aktiv delivers.

Plus you get the added bonus of all that storage when you convert the bedroom into a garage.

The SRT gives you more galley storage but I can't store a canoe in the kitchen.

One of the reasons why it's so hard to beat the Aktiv is because it balances its tradeoffs

so well.

It's one of the ONLY class b vans on the market that gives you a permanent rear bed; a permanent

front lounge; pass through storage in a garage; loads of standard features and tons of options

AND does it all in a short 19 foot package.

With it's industry leading 6 year warranty and 2 years of road side assistance it's no

wonder the AKtiv is so hard to beat.

some more of them by clicking the playlist to the right.

Sadhguru - Every day, you practice this and then you see - Duration: 11:50.

Questioner: I have been seeing your videos in YouTube,

this is the first time that I am seeing you live.

So, I have a basic questions, which will help everyone here.

Everyone talks about, you know, knowing ourselves and the first step is going inside

and then the way to go inside is meditation and when I try to

Sadhguru: I don't know, please don't (Laughs)… do

I never said such things.

I don't know which everyone said those things (Laughter).

Questioner: Okay, so then how do we go inside?

Vinita Bali: That is the question (Laughter).

Sadhguru: Inside what, you are already inside the hall (Laughter)?

Inside what?

Questioner: Inside ourselves.

Sadhguru: Ohh (Laughs)!

Questioner: Okay, if that is the truth of the first step of knowing answers for all

the questions, if going inside is the answer,

then how do we do that?

Sadhguru: First of all, you must understand what is inside, okay,

and what is outside.

If you do not understand what is inside and outside,

then you will go to all the wrong places.

Now what is inside?

Your body – accumulated over a period of time, yes or no?

Hello, Maa?

Participants: Yes.

Sadhguru: What you accumulate can be yours, cannot be you.

Is that much clear?

Participants: Yes.

Sadhguru: Whatever it may be.

What you accumulate can be yours, cannot be you.

So, this body (Gestures) is an accumulation.

What you call as my mind, the whole content of the mind is accumulated,

depending upon what you are exposed to in your life.

So your body is a heap of food, small or big.

Your mind is a heap of impressions, again small or big.

Between these two heaps, where the hell are you?

So, inside, outside – leave these words because

when it comes to language, there is only that much leeway,

so within that, maybe different people are trying to use it in different ways,

we don't know in what context they used.

You put everybody into one bundle and said, "All of you said this."

I don't know who these all people are.

Different people employed different methods around them,

looking at the people around them, what was best suitable for the people around

them, accordingly they would have worked most probably.

If they are genuine, they would have worked with the people around

them, not with concepts from somewhere.

What…

Looking at an individual person, you will do something,

what works for that person.

What you do with this person (Gestures) may not work for another person,

you'll have to do something else with that person

but you are talking about a generic inward, outward.

So, first determine what is inward, outward.

Everything is outward right now.

The world is outside, body is also external material,

all the material in the mind also is external so what is this inward you are talking about?

Then you will immediately say atma, paramatma, soul, this one.

Now you are going into belief system.

You don't know!

You know you have a body, yes?

Hello?

Participants: Yes.

Sadhguru: Please check your neighbors (Laughter).

You know you have a body, you believe you have a mind (Laughter).

But to some extent, you know but rest is belief.

Yes or no?

Vinita Bali: Yes.

Sadhguru: I'm not questioning whether it's true or false,

let's not go there at all, but it's belief, it's not yet in your experience.

If you talk about something, which is not yet in your experience,

to put it bluntly you're just a bloody liar, that's what

it means.

But because lies are holy, lies are written in scriptures,

lies are repeated by all kinds of people who dressed in different ways,

which are supposed be holy though ridiculous.

Because of this, you are not supposed to question these words.

Anywhere you go, first thing is people say, "Sadhguru, what

about the soul?"

I ask them, "Which sole, right or left" Laughter/Applause)?

So, let's not te… talk about something that is not in your experience.

Right now, your body is in your experience to some extent,

your mind is in your experience to some extent, rest you don't know but we can infer.

If I have to …accumulate this much (Gestures) body,

if I have to accumulate this much (Gestures) mind,

something more fundamental must be there, yes?

Something more fundamental must be there, we don't know what the hell it is.

For now, we will call it "you."

How you will go into yourself, I'm asking (Laughter)?

You can go into this hall, you can go out of this hall?

How will you go into yourself, I'm asking?

Tch, saying let's leave this, this is not the way.

You do this way.

What is not you, all those things you keep it aside.

Before today… if you… before you go to bed,

everything that's not you, keep it aside.

They may be precious to you.

You think about it, your house, is it you?

"Oh!

My house" (Gestures) (Laughter).

All right, you have lots of passion about it

but all right, keep it aside.

Your husband, is it you?

No, that's easy, "He is not me" (Laughter/Applause).

My children … are they me?

Oh, little difficulty, but no (Laughter), tch,

they are not me.

They're beginning to tell you – if they're twelve, they've already told

you (Laughter).

So, the clothes that you wear, is that you?

No.

The body that you wear, is that you?

No.

All these thoughts and emotion, is this you?

No.

Everything that's not you, keep it in one heap,

not physically, just do this mentally.

Keep everything aside, let me see.

Every day, you practice this.

One day, when you successfully keep everything aside that you are not,

what you are will be there (Applause).

We have too many ideas about things that we've not seen,

this is a big problem.

Shankaran Pillai went to Britannia (Laughter/Applause).

Can I…?

Vinita Bali: You love the story, yes.

Sadhguru: Shankaran Pillai went to Britannia Industries (Laughter) to find a job,

to find a job.

So, they were looking for a really smart, farseeing sales manager.

So they asked him one question, "Which is farther

Mumbai or moon?"

Shankaran Pillai thought, he said, "Mumbai."

They said, "What?

Mumbai is farther than the moon?"

He said, "Yes."

"How?"

"Well, I can see the moon, I can't see Mumbai" (Laughter and Applause).

So what I am saying is – if you go by your present perception,

you'll get all the wrong conclusions.

So don't be in a rush to make conclusions.

Let's pay little more attention.

You are a worthwhile life, which deserves some attention, isn't it?

Don't seek other people's attention (Laughter).

Your own attention, doesn't this life (Referring to oneself)

deserve attention?

Pay attention to this (Referring to oneself).

Enough attention, everything will be clear.

Everything about you, you're asking me.

If I tell you, what do you have?

You have some more words.

Tch, some more words you have,

that will not get you anywhere near the truth.

One more word or ten more words doesn't get you any closer to reality,

just you'll have more things to say to somebody else.

This kind of hearsay is spreading in the world.

Everybody knows where god is, who his wife is,

how many children he has, when is his birthday,

his address.

In every bhajan, people are singing his address, where he is and how to get him

but they don't know a damn thing about themselves.

This kind of, what to say, a very knowledgeable ignorance

is dangerous (Laughter), you know?

If you do not know, it's not a problem.

If I see, "I do not know," the possibility of knowing is always there,

isn't it?

If I do not know and I think I know, then I've destroyed all possibilities.

So, we have arrived at many things, we know

In every culture they know what is the nature of god,

where he resides, how the ambience is there and the works, you

know?

Tch, you Everybody knows the geography of the heaven,

isn't it?

Don't you?

but you don't know a damn thing about yourself.

It's time, it's time we paid attention because

everything you know, you know it only the way it's projected

in the firmament of your mind.

You don't know anything any other way.

Yes or no?

Participants: Yes.

Sadhguru: So, what you need to fix is – you are seeing everything in a mirror of your

mind and the mirror is wonky.

First fix it, first thing is to make it stable,

flat, proper plain mirror,

so that you see everything the way it is.

Does the plain mirror show you everything the way it is?

Everything reverse, you know?

Then you'll have to flip it, that'll take much more skill,

most people can't flip a dosa (Laughter).

Now to… flip the whole universe, the whole life that is reflecting in your

mind, to flip it over without shattering it into

pieces will take much more.

But the first thing is to level out the mirror so that it shows you everything the way it

is, not some other way.

Right now, everything is seen depending upon how you are identified with something.

Every identity has distorted the mirror of your mind

and it shows you things in completely different way than the way it is.

First thing is stop talking about things that you do not know –

no soul, no atman, no paramatman, no god, no divine, no heaven –

talk about something that you know and then the longing to take the next step

will become strong.

Otherwise, when you know the geography of the heaven,

what is the need to pay attention to anything?

Australia's former prime minister says he's planning to

country's prime minister last week. One local outlet reports

Turnbull said that "former prime ministers are best out of

parliament not in it." Australia has had six prime ministers in

just over a decade. Not one of them has successfully finished

out their first term before being forced out by their own

party. Turnbull said on Monday said he'll resign at the end of

the week. Without Turnbull in Australia's House of

will lose its one-seat majority. An election will be held to fill

Live Trade +$500 Head and Shoulders Pattern Tutorial - How to Read Stock Charts - Duration: 9:53.

so how do you know when the stock market is going to reverse in this video I'm

going to go over how to use a Head & Shoulders reversal pattern and give you

a live example of a trade I'm currently in which is up over 500 dollars in just

a few hours hey how's it going on this channel you will learn the steps I took

to go from trading with a full-time job to trading as a full-time job so if

you're new here consider subscribing and today we're gonna over market reversals

so the basic idea behind a marker reversal is that the simple fact that

the trend is changing and so that can be going from an uptrend to a sideways

trend or an uptrend to a downwards trend or any other kind of trend change and

there are key factors to determining and being able to spot when this is going to

happen with the simple idea of an uptrend causes higher highs and lower

lows and then when you see that shift to making lower lows and lower highs that

is essentially a basic reversal of going from a upwards trend to a downwards

trend reversal patterns are just easy ways to recognize when these reversals

are happy with this trend that I just drew right here it's going from upwards

trend to a downwards trend and this kind of trend change actually makes a classic

pattern called a Head & Shoulders and so that is shown by the three peaks up here

this is one shoulder and this is the head and then we have on the right side

the other shoulder and the idea is as a top forming pattern because it forms the

top of this trend right here that we drew and it signals that a reversal

could be coming and you can use this pattern to spot these reversals easily

how a head and shoulder works is it has the two shoulders and the head and

between these two shoulders it makes what is called a neckline and that can

be drawn by just drawing a line between the

two peaks right here and that is where the stock or just the market will create

a support level once it breaks this neckline over here that is formed by

that support line that we can drop previously is it signals that the

reversal is confirmed and that it is likely that the stock is going to start

on a new trend and in this case it would be a downtrend

another quick way we can confirm or if you missed the initial break of that you

can see that on the right over here it came up and tapped that neckline again

and that neckline now was resistance level and you can see that the stock

began to sell off from that point again the main idea behind these patterns is

that it's just an easy way to recognize that the stock started to make a lower

low here and then it also made a lower high here which is showing you that the

stock is not in that same trend before of making higher highs and lower lows

but it is now starting to make lower lows and lower highs which gives you a

key insight that the stock could be reversing now and changing the trend so

if you were betting that the stock was gonna go up and you had a previous

position on this would be a good time to close out your position with idea that

this stock could start a huge downtrend now and you don't know when the bottom

of that could be so to give you a more concrete example we're gonna look at the

Nasdaq on a two-hour chart and in the beginning you could see that this chart

was trending really well with making higher highs and higher lows and even as

the changes in the chart weren't getting as significant the lows weren't getting

that much higher and the highs weren't getting that much higher it was still in

that trend and then as we started to get to the right side of this we can start

to see that a head and shoulders started to form and with that neckline being

about here we can see that the chart went from

making those higher highs and higher lows to about here it started to make a

lower high that shows us that the trend is beginning to reverse and we don't

know that the trend is gonna change from a upwards trend to a downward trend as

sharply as it did here but the idea is that we know that the trend is gonna

change or it's possible that it changes it could just start doing a sideways

trend and if we had a position on maybe we wouldn't lose any money the idea is

that the potential for the upside gains that maybe we were looking for before

when the stock was more on the left side of the chart they aren't there anymore

the risk is a lot heavier to the downside and so we want to trade

accordingly to that by either closing out our positions that are betting that

the market is going to go up or putting positions on betting that the market

might go down for this chart as you see once it broke that neckline compared to

the drawing I had before it never came up and tapped that neckline as

resistance it just sold off really sharply and if we had a trade on that

was betting that the market was gonna go long at this point we would just want to

cut our losses when we saw it break this zone or if we saw that we could have

just put a bet on that the market was gonna go down one thing I want to stress

is don't trade these patterns alone they are strong patterns and can give good

reversal signals you want to have them as confirmation with other factors you

never want to trade with just having one thing to tell you that the market is

going to reverse you want to have a few things that you generally use telling

you that the market is going to reverse with that being big resistance levels or

maybe some moving average indicators it doesn't matter what you use but you want

more than just the pattern alone because it'll make your trading strategy a lot

more profitable and consistent now let me walk you through a trade I'm

currently in using the head and shoulders pattern as a catalyst now what

I'm doing is a little more advanced than just looking at the

chart and seeing the head and shoulders pattern what I'm actually doing is using

the head and shoulder pattern on a inverse asset of what I'm trading what I

mean by that is the chart I have right here that you can see this head and

shoulders pattern on is called the VIX or the volatility index of the market

and all it does is track the volatility of the market but essentially how it

works is if the market goes up the VIX goes down and if the VIX goes up the

market goes down so I think the market isn't gonna go up and I see this head

and shoulder pattern in the VIX indicating that the VIX has a high

chance of going down and hopefully going down all the way down here to back to

where it was before that that will give a strong catalyst for the market to go

up when I got into the trade the VIX was trading at about this point just a few

hours ago I saw this pattern about to break and even though that I don't know

that it's about to break I was seeing strong indicators in the actual asset

that I was trading which was the stock market or the Dow Jones Industrial

Average and this is just a catalyst to help confirm my trade idea and that the

idea that the stock market will go up and it's worse than betting my money

against that to show you what that trade actually looks like on the asset that

I'm trading here's the Dow Jones Industrial Average and this is where I'm

actually betting my money on I'm not betting my money on the VIX going down

I'm betting my money on the Dow Jones going up that head and shoulders pattern

in the VIX was just a catalyst to help me confirm that I think that this asset

the Dow Jones is gonna go up I only put this trade in a few hours ago and with

that head and shoulders pattern barely beginning to break I'm already up over

$500 on this trade over just the last three hours

once that VIX starts to really come down from that Head and Shoulders pattern

this market right here will start to skyrocket up here and I will be able to

get the full benefits of that Head and Shoulders pattern

and the Dow Jones breaking out of this resistance level that I have here and

that's more of what I'm basing my trade off of the main idea here is that I am

just using the Head & Shoulders pattern with my trading strategy it isn't my

trading strategy alone you want to use it as a catalyst not as the key

ingredient to your trading strategy I'm sure you could base a trading

strategy around Head & Shoulders patterns but you want to have multiple

factors going into a trading strategy and when you execute your trades you

don't just want to have one reason why you're getting into a trade it usually

doesn't make for a high probability chance of success hey thanks for trying

The Hermann's Tortoise Is The Most Low-Maintenance Pet | Scaled - Duration: 1:07.

- This is a Hermann's tortoise.

(mellow funky music)

These guys'll make a great first time pet,

provided the commitment is taken under consideration,

'cause they live for a long time.

So, these guys can live 30 plus years in captivity.

They're very docile, as you can see,

not very quick moving, very small.

This is full-grown.

So they don't tend to get anywhere over, eight inches long

is pretty much the max size for these guys.

'Cause alotta tortoises get very large,

where as these guys stay nice and small.

Very non-aggressive, as you can see,

not known to be very bitey.

But what set these guys apart from turtles

is that these guys are vegetarian.

So turtles need a protein component,

typically animal protein.

These guys get everything they need

from the vegetation they eat.

So, you wanna pay particular attention with these guys,

because their nails and beaks are constantly growing,

is in their habitats, you wanna keep

some rough surfaces to help keep that stuff worn down,

as well as in their diets, some kind

of rougher textured food items, as well.

These guys are kinda like the cow of the reptile world.

They just kinda roam around their habitat

and graze all day long.

All in all, just very cool little pets.
