Chancellor.

We've just received a report from Master Kenobi.

He has engaged General Grievous.

We can only hope that Master Kenobi is up to the challenge.

I should be there with him.

It's upsetting to me to see that the council...

doesn't seem to fully appreciate your talents.

Don't you wonder why they won't make you a Jedi master?

I wish I knew.

More and more I get the feeling that...

I'm being excluded from the council.

I know there are things about the Force that they're not telling me.

They don't trust you, Anakin.

They see your future.

They know your power will be too strong to control.

You must break through the fog of lies the Jedi have created around you.

Let me help you to know the subtleties of the Force.

How do you know the ways of the Force?

My mentor taught me everything about the Force.

Even the nature of the dark side.

You know the dark side?

If one is to understand the great mystery...

one must study all its aspects...

not just the dogmatic narrow view of the Jedi.

If you wish to become a complete and wise leader...

you must embrace a larger view of the Force.

Be careful of the Jedi, Anakin.

Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi.

Learn to know the dark side of the Force...

and you will be able to save your wife...

from certain death.

What did you say?

Use my knowledge. I beg you.

You're the Sith lord.

I know what's been troubling you. Listen to me.

Don't continue to be a pawn of the Jedi Council.

Ever since I've known you, you've been searching for a life...

greater than that of an ordinary Jedi.

A life of significance...

of conscience.

- Are you going to kill me? - I would certainly like to.

I know you would.

I can feel your anger.

It gives you focus...

makes you stronger.

I'm going to turn you over to the Jedi Council.

Of course. You should.

But you're not sure of their intentions, are you?

I will quickly discover the truth of all this.

You have great wisdom, Anakin.

Know the power of the dark side.

Power to save Padmé.

Green Card Through Marriage Interview: Will I Lose My Permanent Residence Case If I Am Separated? - Duration: 3:20.

I have an appointment coming up in a few weeks to become a permanent resident.

About a month ago, I found out that my husband was seeing another woman.

We had a big argument and he moved out.

We still talk on the telephone but he won't tell me where he lives.

He does not know if he wants to stay as a married couple.

He does not plan to go to the appointment with me.

Do I have to drop my case?

ANSWER: Unless you want to give up, you do not have to drop your case.

Depending on your situation, you may be able to still win a green card.

Let's look at your options one at a time.

FIRST, how likely is it that you may get back with your husband?

If you and your husband are talking, that seems like a good sign.

It could be both of you just need some time to cool off a bit.

Rather than try to force him to go with you to the interview now,

you could tell the government you need to postpone the upcoming appointment and ask for a new date.

This approach may give you enough time to work out differences with your spouse,

and get back together before the date of your rescheduled interview.

On the other hand, if the probability is slim that you'll get back with your husband,

it is probably better to start looking at other possibilities.

SECOND, in time will your husband go with you to explain the marital situation?

You could go alone to the interview and explain the situation.

But if you take this approach, you should consult with a permanent residence attorney in advance.

You will have to convince USCIS that your marriage is valid and ask for more time to return with your husband.

Going alone is not a recommended approach.

Submitting a request for a new date in writing is more likely to be granted.

THIRD, have you been victimized by your husband?

If your husband has been extremely cruel to you, with or without physical violence,

you might want to look into the Violence Against Women Act program.

Perhaps he has been verbally and mentally abusive towards you,

especially if he was seeing another person behind your back.

If actions like these were taking place,

you might be eligible for permanent residency under VAWA.

VAWA allows abused immigrant spouses to file a petition on their own,

without their husband's permission, to obtain green card status

Most importantly,

whatever you do, do not make up anything which is not true.

This will make matters and almost certainly lead to your deportation.

WE ARE NOT PETER MCKINNON - Duration: 9:05.

what's up shenanigans John here and I am back! this topic it's kind of tough

it's something that that I think means a lot to me but it is something I think

it's sensitive to a lot of folks when it comes to creativity. I named this one we

are not Peter McKinnon and I did that because Peter just released a video the

other day about people saying they are not Peter and people giving other people

hard times about using the tips and techniques that he teaches that he

expects us to use but before we get started if you are new here this channel

is for creators it's for those who wish to create for those who are looking to

be inspired motivated for those of you looking for like-minded content creators

wishing to share our our experiences here on YouTube that's your kind of

thing please click that subscribe button and the bell so you'll get notifications

when I release a new content now I'm moving on to the subject at hand

look it is completely undeniable but the influence that Peter and Casey have had

on YouTube it has been extremely positive the knowledge and positivity

and just the skill that they've brought to this platform as I think better all

of us it has helped us all search to increase our skill our editing our

filming and just our overall creativity that is not the problem I see with Casey

and Peter I think the problem is and it's not even that people who are

choosing to just kind of mimic a lot of the styles they have I think the problem

and I think some people really poorly explained this when they comment on a

video is not that they're using these tips and techniques it's that they have

no voice of their own they're literally copying the the template that Peter or

Casey has and when a storytelling the way they use the cuts and transitions I

think it's fine to do that when you take those things and you reverse-engineer

them and you make them that you're your own the more and more that I consume the

video I see the heavy influence and heavy saturation of all the style that

Casey and Peter bring to YouTube I see it just completely flooding videos it

does make the videos more interesting but do we really need another

forty fifty thousand Casey's out there another 20 or 30 thousand Peters out

there producing the same kind of content with the same kind of visual tricks

yeah they look really good but if everyone's doing them they're no longer

special they're no longer cool anymore and let me tell you what I believe is

going to squish the next person out of the head of everyone is the person who's

moving away from that the person who's leading the pack and changing all of the

things that they've learned so they can become unique like Peter and Casey did

at the times they came out now learning from people is not bad they taught us

all so many different things and that's not the point here the point is not

taking what we've learned and reusing and it says how are we using how much

are we really using are we completely just almost mirroring their vlogs what

they do I see it a lot and I'm never gonna give someone a hard time I'm never

gonna make a comment that say anything to put anyone down because I think this

is a learning process every video that we produce is a learning process for us

so I'm never gonna do that there's videos that I put up that have been

almost exact copies of the styles of people I've learned from in the past

just because I was trying to kind of recreate them to see if I could do it

and I couldn't so you know I'm still chasing my voice out here I'm still

watching lots and lots of people and learning the lots and lots of different

things out here just trying to fit what fits with me you know it helps my

creativity to see what other peoples do and again I'll mention reverse

engineering I did that in software world when I learned the software development

and I do that out here trying to figure out how do they do that cut how did they

do that transition how did they do that shot not so that I can just copy it but

I can learn how to do those things because you know those are just tools in

your toolbox from when you're trying to be creative you're trying to think of

something to do so the other day when Peter released his video I found it

extremely helpful that he explained how he thinks about his influence on YouTube

so he told us that he goes out and watches these videos any breeds in the

comments and he sees these people just really going after these folks and Peter

talks about that and that he finds that very disheartening he finds it

flattering that people would take the influence that he's brought to

the platform because he says that's why he teaches us the things he does is

because he wants people to learn them I don't think he wants people to copy his

style his signature verbatim I don't think any of us want to do that

but I think it is a learning process for a lot of people but in the grand scheme

of things over time trends are gonna change there's gonna be new Peters and

there's gonna be new KC's and what are those people doing I guarantee you those

people are not just copying Casey and Peter there they're going out and

finding all of the people that they find interesting from varying different

backgrounds and styles and really finding out what makes them tick and

what fits with them in their personality you know going out and figure out what

color schemes really fit with your personality of the filming techniques

the lens that you use the style of talk that you use your your mannerisms

there's just so much to figure out about this platform and who we are as

communicators and creators on this platform there's literally infinite

infinite amounts of influence that we can bring in to us on YouTube and I

think for all of us as we start to evolve we want to move away from the

Peter clones and the Casey Neistat clones and moving away from everyone

just being little reflections of them it's cool they do awesome things and you

know even if you watch them you'll see that they're changing they get

influences other places too but then they'll tell you when they do they'll

tell you when they get influenced by people and I find it interesting because

they're successful what they do they don't need to change a thing they can

continue to do what they do and they're going to be successful but even they

know the evolution is necessary and they're gonna need to keep pushing the

bar because those guys are not followers their leaders are leading all of us down

the road of creativity and eventually there's gonna be people that peel off of

them and then we start to follow them and it's gonna be so interesting to find

out who the next crop of people that come out of this class of Peter and

Casey Neistat followers. I already see a lot of really, really talented

people coming out of them, you know Casey and Peter picked a couple of

those people out of you know four very different things they do and they're

super talented you know it is you know it's very hard sometimes to see like wow

why do I even do this?those people are just so talented I'm not going to never

get there. but I'm never gonna give up and you should never give up eithe.r you

know there's a crater that I've watched quite a bit it's a young guy names Luke

c

Korns and he's one of the best storytellers that I've seen on YouTube

and it's mind-boggling because he is such a young guy he's so artistic and

how he films things and he travels the world and he is wise beyond his years

and is extremely interesting to me how he's become who he is I've watched a lot

of his stuff from when he was in high school and now he's a young man travel

in the world I can't tell where he's got his influence from and I find that

extremely interesting when I watch him he seems to almost be organically unique

from everyone else and I think that's where we all need to try to focus our

energy it's okay to find influence it's okay to learn these methods and tricks

and techniques but who are you who are you who are you gonna be but if you find

your voice and you take all the influences around you and you formulate

your own voice and someone can watch you and say I can't really figure out who

they got all this from. that's interesting to me, that's unique, that's

someone who's going to change the platform that is all I have you know I

love Peter McCann and I love Casey Neistat and I love all of you out there

that are struggling every single day to learn something new it's not easy to be

out here on YouTube it's not easy to learn from scratch like many of us do

you have to put in a lot of time you have to grind out here and usually a

very little audience so I support all of you again find your voice find out who

you are find out what you want to say and change the world through the way you

want to do things. alright, that is all I have you guys tonight. I hope you enjoy

this conversation, I'd be super interested if you guys would comment

below all the people you find influential in

your world, who influences you, who do you think we need to be sing comment

below who those people are and let's all go check out those people and let's find

the next Peter let's find the next Casey let's find that person we're all gonna

be copying again.. that's a joke guys come on

all right until next time, I love you

How to Get Cash and Pay NO FEES - Duration: 2:56.

I'm going to tell you a hack that will let you get cash during your trip without paying any ATM fees.

Hello! Welcome to Trip Hacks DC. My name is Rob.

I'm a tour guide here in the nation's capital. If you're coming to Washington DC and you're looking for the best tips,

tricks, and hacks for exploring the city, make sure to subscribe to this channel and hit the bell notification icon so that you don't miss

any new videos. And if you're interested in signing up for a Trip Hacks DC tour, head on over to www.triphacksdc.com

afterwards, to see the tours that I offer. This video is part of my "Quick Hacks" series, which are single

simple hacks you can use during your trip. So let's get to it...

We currently live in what is mostly a cashless society, and most businesses in Washington DC will accept your credit card,

no problem.

But in our What to Pack video, Ali and I suggested that you put a little bit of cash in your wallet.

There are still a few places that are cash only, including my favorite breakfast spot.

It's also helpful to have cash

if you want to give a tip to someone at your hotel, for example,

or when you're out enjoying our nightlife,

the last thing you want to have to deal with is going and trying to find a lost credit card because you left it after

you opened a tab.

Obviously the simplest solution is to simply go to your bank or ATM before you leave for your trip and get the cash while you're

still at home.

But I also realize that sometimes you just run out of time when you're preparing for a trip or you just forget to do it.

In Washington, DC

we have branches for most of the big national banks, like Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citibank. The one big bank

we don't have at the time I'm making this video is Chase.

Although they do plan on opening a bunch of branches here in the near future.

So if you have an account at any of those places, you can use their ATMs for free, no problem.

But if you bank at a credit union or a smaller local bank

you probably won't find their ATMs here.

And if you walk up to a Citibank ATM with your credit union debit card

they're gonna hit you with a bunch of annoying fees.

So the hack for getting around this is to get your cash at a CVS.

And no,

I'm not talking about the little portable ATM that they usually have in the corner of the store.

CVS, Walgreens, and other stores and supermarkets will allow you to receive "cash back"

anytime you make a purchase. The way that this works is that when you're checking out and go to pay you select the debit, not

credit card, option on the terminal. Then you type in your ATM PIN.

It will ask you how much you want, up to a certain limit, and you can do this at either the self-checkout or the

human checkout.

Although I recommend if you've never done this before to use the human checkout because they can help you out if you get confused.

Just tell them before they start checking you out that you want to get cash back and they'll usually know what to do.

And yes, it is not technically 100% free since you do need to buy something,

but you could always pick up extra snacks, drinks, or anything else that you might need for your trip. And that's it!

Thank you for watching this video.

If you found it helpful, you can subscribe to this channel by clicking on the Trip Hacks DC logo

which is popping up right now at the bottom of the screen, and if you want to sign up for a Trip Hacks DC tour

you can click on the Capitol dome on the left side of my head,

that'll send you over to www.triphacksdc.com where you can see all of the tours that I offer. Enjoy your trip!

Harry Potter House Symbolism: Slytherin - Duration: 15:30.

"With 472 points Slytherin House."

The Slytherin philosophy is basically to be the best,

to be great --

that means working hard,

always thinking a few steps ahead of your opponent,

and being ruthless in your pursuit of excellence.

Because Slytherins are so obsessed

with proving themselves superior to others,

they can be guilty of arrogance and powerlust

"There is only power and those too weak to seek it."

Slytherins are very often selfish or self-interested.

But on the positive side,

they show impressive mastery of their crafts.

And as much as the Harry Potter series maligns this house,

Slytherin at least is never overlooked

or insignificant-feeling,

unlike the other two supporting houses.

Slytherins are known for their supreme power,

importance and achievement.

"Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness,

no doubt about that."

This drive to work hard and achieve greatness

is embodied in Slytherin's most infamous member.

Tom Riddle a.k.a. Voldemort is undeniably terrible,

but he's also very impressive --

he's an orphan who became one of the most powerful wizards ever

thanks to talent, ambition, and dedication.

"I fashioned myself a new name,

a name I knew wizards everywhere would one day fear to speak

when I became the greatest sorcerer in the world."

The only reason Harry even has special skills

is that he has some of Voldemort in him.

"he transferred some of his powers to you

the night he gave you that scar".

And it's implied that Harry could have reached new heights

if he'd been sorted into Slytherin.

"You would have done well in Slytherin".

Harry and Voldemort also share certain qualities

that Gryffindors and Slytherins have in common --

they're both extremely driven

and they'll do anything necessary to win their fight.

"You possess many of the qualities that Voldemort himself prizes:

determination, resourcefulness,

and if I may say so, a certain disregard for the rules".

Slytherin's colors are green and silver.

Unlike Gryffindor's warm tones, these cool colors tell us

that Slytherins are cool, calculating, and controlled.

Slytherins are logical and analytical.

In the first Harry Potter book, the Sorting Hat tells us

that the house's defining quality is single-minded resourcefulness:

"Those cunning folk use any means to achieve their ends."

So Slytherins are masters of strategy and long-term planning.

They apply themselves to their goals with rational, smart steps.

They think around and through problems,

rather than acting on their gut impulse like fiery red Gryffindors.

Slytherins are deeply ambitious.

Both green and silver -- thanks to their links to currencies --

evoke associations with money and greed,

and many Slytherins do value wealth and social status.

"My father can afford the best."

Then there's the idea of "being born with a silver spoon in your mouth"

or getting something "on a silver platter,"

so silver also speaks to the privilege

that many Slytherins are born into.

Green also brings to mind the phrase

"Green with envy"

and Draco certainly resents Harry

for all his fame and special attention.

"Famous Harry Potter.

Can't even go into a bookshop without making the front page."

We often think of silver as second place, less precious than gold,

and Slytherins feel like they're always coming in second

after the Golden Gryffindors.

In our world, you wouldn't necessarily think

that Gryffindor's tendency to act first and plan second

is all that admirable.

But somehow these reckless, spontaneous Gryffindors

are always coming out on top in the Harry Potter series.

It's not like all Gryffindors are the most talented

or skilled people at Hogwarts

"He possesses no measurable talent, his arrogance rivals even that of his father's

and he seems to relish in his fame."

A lot of the time,

Harry and his friends seem to get by on dumb luck.

"Last year, he really did fight off You-Know-Who in the flesh."

"Look, it all sounds great when you say it like that,

but the truth is, most of that was just luck."

In the Sorcerer's Stone, when Dumbledore awards Gryffindor

last-minute points to hand them the House Cup,

this would feel like pretty blatant favoritism to the Slytherins

who have been working all year to win that cup and

have been leading in points.

And from this perspective,

couldn't you start to get why Slytherins resent Gryffindors,

who seem to keep getting handed success

even though they don't really apply themselves in an intelligent way?

We can even see the Slytherins' sense of unfairness

in the starting premise of the story:

"How is it that a baby with no extraordinary magical talent

was able to defeat the greatest wizard of all time?"

Voldemort exerts exceptional effort to become the greatest

wizard of his time, but a little baby beats him

and becomes a celebrity just for passively receiving

his parents' love.

Slytherins' house element is water.

And like liquids,

Slytherins are slippery, fluid and hard to pin down.

In astrology, water signs are considered to be intuitive,

emotional and sensitive.

Because they're so hyper-aware and sensitive,

Slytherins are image-conscious.

They're extremely concerned with how they're perceived.

The water element may also connect to potions,

Snape's subject of choice.

"I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science

and exact art that is potion-making."

Potions is an understated art that's all about the slow simmering

of carefully chosen ingredients.

"I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even

put a stopper in death."

Purposeful, patient and precise is classic Slytherin.

Harry Potter may focus more on the negative associations,

but green, silver and water have a lot of positive connotations.

Silver, the metal, is malleable and adaptive,

and Slytherins are far more subtle in their thinking

than straightforward Gryffindors.

Green is associated with life, vitality, and nature.

And Slytherins have astonishing potential for growth, rebirth and renewal.

Just as water can take different forms,

Slytherins can change and transform -- as we can see in Snape

"He was the bravest man I've ever known."

"Why didn't you tell her?

You knew it was me. You didn't say anything"

and even Narcissa, when she lies to Voldemort

that Harry is dead.

"Dead?" "Dead."

Of all the houses, Slytherin is probably the one

most closely linked to its house animal, the snake.

"There's a reason the symbol of Slytherin house is a serpent.

Salazar Slytherin was a Parselmouth."

Even their name sounds like the word "slither,"

as in "the snake slithered across the grass."

In Western literature and culture, snakes are associated

with cunning, treachery and deception:

The serpent in Genesis tempts Eve to eat

from the tree of knowledge of good and evil,

leading to the fall.

The serpent there represents Satan,

while the griffin of Gryffindor's name has been associated with Christ.

So the story immediately paints Gryffindor and Slytherin

as good versus evil --

one literally has a Christ symbol in its name,

and the other's name sounds like the movement of the animal

traditionally linked to the devil.

And the Harry Potter story mostly reinforces the Western idea

of the snake as devious and evil.

Voldemort himself looks snake-like

with his smooth, hairless head and slits for nostrils.

And Salazar Slytherin's basilisk is a monstrous incarnation

of the house's spirit --

which is why only Voldemort can control it

as heir to Slytherin.

"Parseltongue won't save you now, Potter. It only obeys me".

Voldemort's snake, Nagini also embodies terrible violence.

But there's also another snake we meet early on,

at the zoo in The Sorcerer's Stone.

Harry understands that this unaggressive animal is just mistreated.

"He doesn't understand what it's like,

lying there day after day

watching people press their ugly faces in on you".

In fact, he feels a sense of kinship with the snake.

"Do you miss your family? I see.

That's me as well. I never knew my parents either".

So there's a way in which the snakes of Slytherin

are misunderstood and villainized from the start.

Outside of Western culture, There are a lot more

Positive associations with the snake.

It's often been linked to sexual desire and fertility,

the mysteries of reproduction.

In ancient Egypt the uraeus, or rearing cobra,

was a symbol of royalty and power.

That reminds us of Slytherin's legacy

as a grand, important house.

Egyptians also saw the snake as life-giving --

just as Snape protects Harry for so many years.

"Don't tell me now, that you've grown To care for the boy."

snakes shed their skin, and the Slytherins we know best

reveal new sides to themselves,

symbolically shedding their skin in an act of rebirth.

So the snake is an animal of contradictions:

it represents deadliness and vengeance and life and renewal.

Its venom can be poison or medicine.

Ultimately the snake is a symbol of duality,

of both good and evil, and their interconnectedness.

And Slytherins have both darkness and the capacity for light inside of them.

The Slytherin common room Is in the Hogwarts dungeons

Underground, just as Slytherins are symbolically hidden away,

their true natures not immediately visible to the outside world.

The room is partly under the lake,

which puts Slytherins close to their element, water.

The underwater location visualizes that Slytherins aren't afraid

to face the deeper, darker truths of human nature.

Some of them are interested in the Dark Arts.

The darkness and greenish light make the common room feel

a little eerie not entirely comfortable --

Echoing how Slytherins keep people at a distance.

The house ghost is the Bloody Baron,

not the most welcoming character.

In the books, we learn that he was in love with Helena Ravenclaw

but eventually stabbed her in a rage --

and when he realized what he'd done,

he turned the knife on himself.

So this tragic backstory captures a lot about who Slytherins are --

they have intense feelings that they don't know

how to express in a healthy way, and this can be a fatal flaw.

But they often come to repent the error of their ways.

In the books, the Bloody Baron Chooses wears chains

to atone for his crime.

The house name comes from Salazar Slytherin,

one of the founders of Hogwarts.

"Three of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously.

One did not."

"Three guesses who."

Salazar is a Basque name meaning "old hall,"

so this connotes the impressive, long legacy of Slytherin.

The Slytherins' fixation with their impressive past

might help explain their problematic history with bigotry.

Salazar Slytherin himself thought Hogwarts should be for purebloods only.

"Salazar Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students

ddmitted to Hogwarts.

He believed that magical learning should be kept within all-magic families.

In other words, purebloods.

Unable to sway the others, he decided to leave the school."

And this bias lives on in later Slytherins.

"Associating with Muggles.

And I thought your family could sink no lower".

The pureblood issue in Harry Potter is an obvious analogy for racism.

"Her speciality was muggle studies."

"It is Ms. Burgises belief That muggles are not so different from us.

She would, given her way, have us mate with them."

The very prejudice Draco Malfoy has blond, typically Aryan looks,

so that creates a subconscious link between his racism against Muggle-borns

and the ethnic hatred directed at non-whites in our world.

"No one asked your opinion, you filthy little Mudblood."

And the hate-driven, tyrannical behaviors

of Voldemort and Grindelwald make us think of Nazism

or other totalitarian, genocidal regimes.

"Your parents would be proud. Especially your filthy Muggle mother".

In a tweet, J. K. Rowling said,

"Not all Slytherins think they're racially superior.

But all those who do are Slytherins."

If we look deeper, the racism problem within Slytherin

reflects a larger insecurity and fear of change.

Salazar Slytherin couldn't accept progress,

and families like the Malfoys are afraid of losing

their prominence and privilege.

They're so preoccupied with the days when Voldemort was in power

because that's when they were most influential and relevant

in their community.

And through this portrait, Rowling is making a larger statement

about where racism and bigotry come from --

anxiety about the future and the fear of losing one's place in the

world.

Ironically, the pure-blood obsessed Voldemort is a half-blood himself --

so his racism is driven by self-loathing and daddy issues,

and perhaps Rowling is suggesting then that racism in general

is often fueled by some form of self-doubt or self-hatred.

"Surely you didn't think I was going to keep my filthy Muggle father's name?"

But this kind of behavior is generally learned --

it's not that Slytherins are intrinsically bad;

it's that many have been raised in a toxic environment.

Draco was brought up to believe that he's better than others

due to his blood;

he's been taught to value wealth and image.

He's also watched his family routinely abuse their house elf, Dobby --

so of course having grown up this way He enters Hogwarts as a hateful boy.

But as we watch Draco become conflicted about his parents' behavior

and learn how Snape protected Harry,

we see that Slytherins can overcome their backgrounds and conditioning.

A corrupt cultural environment doesn't define

their inner nature and potential.

"Severus Snape was indeed a Death Eater

and prior to Lord Voldemort's downfall, turned spy for us

at great personal risk."

In our next video, we're going to offer up

some arguments in defense of Slytherins,

and we're gonna have a little fun sorting characters outside of Harry Potter

into this house.

My small culture comparison between Korea and Japan - Duration: 6:22.

Welcome back guys

I really need a shower

You are really lucky you can't smell me through your phone or

your computer because I smell terrible

it's been really really hot in Seoul lately

and I'm just sweating way to hard over it

anyways, I hope you are staying cool if you are in Korea

or anywhere that's hot

because it's just, it's just terribly hot lately

as my subscribers know I recently came back from Japan

I thought it be a little bit interesting to kind of culture compare

ahh, come on

Now I don't think four days is quite enough to really be able to truly understand the culture

to be honest I think it's impossible

but I would like to point out some things that I noticed

that are very different from Japan and Korea

Okay, let's start with food

I mean

the Japanese food was very very

it was delicious to me

but the thing is I find most food really really delicious

so I'm not really a good food critic

but I will tell you this one big difference that I noticed

everything was very delicate and it was visually appetizing

I think the Japanese seemed to really really care about the food presentation

and it makes the experience more enjoyable

the one thing I did notice that was kind of missing for me

is banchan

for you none Korean's Banchan means side-dishes

the thing that I mostly love about Korean cuisine is Banchan

You always have a really large variety of small side dishes to eat with you food

I think that's just a great way to really enhance the flavor of whatever you're eating

so I do say I did miss that a lot once I was in Japan

but visually Japan wins

but when it comes to flavor Korea definitely wins to me

I think I actually kept my ticket for this

okay, I know you guys probably don't want to hear about this

I didn't want to slightly talk about transportation

So, that was the very first transportation ticket that I bought

it's the train ticket

and it was only about a 20 minute train ride

and it was 4 dollars

Now, I know you are wondering. Why are you complaining about that?

well actually it gets a lot more expensive than just 4 dollars

I noticed that one way ticket depending on how far you go

can be anywhere from 4 to 10 dollars

and realistically that's kind of insane

I honestly think that is really really expensive

especially if you're visiting a new country and you want to travel to a lot of places

It's just extremely over priced

I actually ended up taking a taxi for about

5 minute taxi ride

ended up being $15

its...

look I'm not a super-rich guy

So, spending 15$ or 10$ for a one way trip is too much

I know in Korea here in Seoul

for 2 dollars you can realistically get pretty freaking far

and I've never in my life had to spend so much on transportation

so this is one of those things that really kind of irritated me a little bit

but to be fair the transportations were really clean and they were really quiet

and they were always on time

So that is a plus

but is it worth $10 one-way?

it's definitely not worth $10 one way

another thing that I notice is that it is extremely quiet in Japan

like really really quite

every single place you go the hotel's the restaurants public transportation

the streets is just dead silence

it's not it's not that I don't really like that

but to me it feels like I had to be extremely careful

all the time everywhere you go

but you know, I was genuinely worried to talk out loud

because I didn't want to seem disrespectful to the culture of Japan

here in Korea it's kind of similar

you can be just a little bit loud

you can talk out loud at the voice level that I'm using now

and people are not going to really care

but in Japan it's just...

shhhhuuu you have to be really really quite

One thing that I noticed about Japan

that I think Seoul could maybe adapt

is how clean it is

Honestly, did not see trash anywhere

at all

zero

and you know that's the one thing that I think Japan

kind of has over Korea

It would be nice to see Korea just a little bit more clean

but Korea is not dirty

but it can be cleaner and I think that's fair to say

I think that's fair

after my four-day trip in Japan

I honestly missed Korea a lot

because

I was really walking on eggshells when it came to my voice level

I missed the simple Korean food with the Banchan

I missed the cheap transportation

yeah I was honest - really really happy to go back

now again is 4 days enough to compare cultures?

definitely not long enough

but these are just some of the small differences that I noticed

anyways that's it you guys

Sorry, today's video was kind of short

it's really really hot

I was filming all day with Mickey

I don't know why I'm saying that. That's not really important to the video

but I'll be back with more content in the next two days

So thank you for subscribing

thank you for being patient

please stay cool because it is fucking hot outside

hope you will have a wonderful day. Bye!

MUST HAVE Travel Accessories | AMAZON HAUL - Duration: 12:01.

hey everyone welcome back to my channel so today I have a very exciting video

for you guys today I am so excited to make this and film this but I am showing

you guys all the stuff that I got in my recent haul from Amazon as you guys know

that I am going to be starting to travel the world soon and two weeks to be exact

and a few days ago I got on to Amazon and I started to look for some travel

accessories just some things that I really really need and have been needing

and so I bought a bunch of stuff and just got in here yesterday and I

couldn't wait to show you guys what I got let's just go look at it right now

let's just jump right in so just so you guys know I'm not cool enough to be

sponsored for anything yet so this is 100% legit okay I picked out all of

these items myself nobody's paying me for this alright so the first thing that

I got this is probably what I am the most excited about is this collapsible

water bottle so I am leaving with just a backpack I actually ordered a new one I

have a 40 litre backpack but I decided to get something a little bit bigger so

I purchased a 50 liter backpack so it's I mean it's a good size but like I said

I've been traveling for a long time I'm traveling there's no ending so I have to

pack her and in death an indefinite amount of time so I need to make sure

everything is compact and small so this water bottle is perfect so perfect this

is also gonna be a money saver so I'm not constantly buying bottles of water

which is what I did in the past so let me show you guys how it works

so it has this little strap and then it opens up and you can open up the actual

top this little button releases the air

tada and then you have this water bottle and then you fill it up

and then when you're done with it you have to it's actually a little bit hard

but you just have to press the whole oh yeah how much let me figure this out you

have to release the air again and then you roll it and then you take the strap

put it back in and then you're all good to Cairo in the night you can put this

in your backpack I'm really excited because I feel like this could also fit

into my purse what I'm out in my locations I always have a really small

like off the cross the shoulder bag and I feel like this could fit in there

perfectly and also like de bags and just everything I'm really excited this okay

next name this is a travel towel I have been needing this for the longest time

because I have been carrying around a regular-sized towel this whole time and

it's ridiculous so as you guys know I stay in hostels so this is number one

completely necessary because hostels sometimes they don't have towels or

they'll charge you to use our towels all so I'm always somewhere next to a beach

so this could double as like a regular towel and as a beach towel so I got a

size large I was really worried about this size being too big check this out

check out how thin that is that's gonna take up absolutely no space in my

backpack so it comes in a cute little case

it's actually a really good size so it's a really good size if I could show you

it's it's basically the same size as a regular sized bath towel or a

regular-sized beach towel so I'm really excited it's very soft it's microfiber

so other things that I got so I know this is a little controversial if you

follow me on Instagram I was actually posting updates while I was buying stuff

and I asked you guys if I should buy this because it did look like a waste of

money but let me tell you this is not a waste of money so if you guys know it is

the selfie stick slash tripod I put this on Instagram I was like should I really

buy this it actually came out 50/50 like half of you guys told me not to buy it

and half of you guys said to buy it but I'm really glad that I did because first

of all look at how compact this is and if you can't tell there's a common theme

with all of this stuff is compact because I need to maximize every inch of

space that I have in this backpack and just in me and this is perfect this

could fit in a small purse this could fit in a backpack this could easily be

in I could even like if I'm wearing jeans I could shove this in like my back

pocket simple it is a selfie stick I'll show you that functionality if I can get

it to work oh so it's a selfie stick and this is perfect it rotates 360 degrees

so you can have your phone like that or like that it's a selfie stick but then

y'all are about to trip out this is actually the main reason I got it was

because the tripod so then I could take pictures while I'm traveling because

nobody is there to take pictures of me so then it's an actual tripod and it

like stays on the grounds then you could I know there's not enough space to show

you but as you can conceive and you can take pictures in different locations and

it also extends quite a bit maybe that's it I'm not sure

I'll have to fiddle with it later and then lastly it comes with guys why can I

not ever do anything I swear oh I'm so slow let me show you that was in the way

I'm slow it comes with a remote this is the Bluetooth remote to take the

pictures and then this has no battery so you don't have to trip about that it

comes with a little charger perfect

sorry about the background noise it's so hot in Switzerland and Switzerland has

no a/c so my windows are just wide open all day like every window in this

apartment is wide open it's not how I do it guys I'm already gonna break it then

so two more things to show you guys so this is probably what I'm most excited

about like so so so excited because I have missed so many photo ops because I

do not have a GoPro I don't have a GoPro and there's so much like things that I

do when I travel I'm at the beach I do water activities I was scuba diving I

was snorkeling and Egypt and I don't have any footage of that I finally

decided to buy a sports camera I did not however purchase a GoPro because number

one you know I am frugal I'm a budget traveler and to me to invest six hundred

dollars on something that I could purchase for under a hundred that is

similar quality it just doesn't make sense to me just for a name and also I'm

not going to use this every day if I am going to spend $600 on something it'll

probably be a new vlogging camera because I will use that every day and I

don't see myself using the GoPro every single day and also I've never used a

GoPro before so I'm not sure if I'll like it I don't

know if I'll be able to use it properly you know what I mean so this is like a

test run and I'm not gonna be mad about it because I'm not really losing out on

much money and then hey you never know maybe y'all spend the extra cash and get

a real one look at how adorable this is

this is the fixture ac 800 it's 4 K Wi-Fi ultra HD

so this records in 4k which is really cool I don't know any of the other stats

guys I'm not a sad ads person I think it was 20 MP and it goes 40 meters

underwater as far as the stats it had like the best stats out of any of these

little GoPro knock-offs I wanted to make sure to do that this

one was on the pricier end of GoPro knock-offs I don't know what else to

call them yeah this is on the higher end of that but still under a hundred and it

comes with you know all types of goodies all types of accessories I'm not even

worried about that I'm basic when it comes to technology I'm not like all I

just needed some basic thing to work so so excited about this like I just want

to jump into a pool right now so I could use this to see how it works I'm really

excited because I mean I bought this because I just want my content to be

better for you guys and I know that you guys are dying to see some travel vlogs

I am also dying to make travel vlogs but I just never had enough equipment and

that's not even like an excuse if you're traveling in countries you don't want to

pull out your big $600 vlogging camera that just attracts attention to you or I

didn't want to pull out my phone phones are expensive too I didn't want to vlog

on that so here I will vlog on this all day because uh if this gets stolen or if

this gets damaged not a huge loss but if this camera or my phone gets stolen or

damaged that's a bigger loss and sorry YouTube does not pay me enough

so I plan to vlog with this when I'm like out and about in countries and

areas which are not as safe but in every other country I'll be continuing to use

my regular vlogging camera and then the last thing this is I've got an accessory

for this and this is just simply a selfie stick back close actually so this

is flamboyant so I can use this in all of my water activities everytime I am

there on the beach and the water scuba diving snorkeling I'll be using this

because it's yeah it's slopes and it extends as you guys could see you put

the GoPro knock-off right here and that isn't it so that is it guys that was my

hull those are the accessories that I'm really excited about taking on my around

the world trip see if you guys are interested in any of these products I

have them all linked down below so a disclaimer they are all affiliate links

if you don't know what that is it just means that if you want to buy one of

these items please use my link because I will get a very small Commission from

Amazon which would be great every penny counts from me on this trip so I really

appreciate you using those links and if you have any other questions just of
