In this three-part series we are taking a seven-day six-night trip from Tokyo to Kyoto,
but not by the usual route along the Pacific coast known as the "Golden Route", which
most tourists take.
Instead we are traveling through Japan's "New Golden Route" which delves into the
country's rural interior, continues along the beautiful Sea of Japan coast, and finishes
in Kyoto.
A great way to travel along this New Golden Route is using the Hokuriku Arch Pass, a seven-day
pass exclusively available to overseas tourists that allows for unlimited use of all the JR
Lines shown on this map, including the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
In episode one we made our way from Tokyo to the Snow Monkeys before episode two saw
us traveling along the Sea of Japan coast, through Kurobe gorge and to the mountain town
of Takayama.
Now in this third and final episode, we spend the last three days exploring an historic
city, beautiful countryside spots and an old merchant town before reaching our final destination:
Kyoto.
So join me, Sam Evans, as we travel from Tokyo to Kyoto along Japan's New Golden Route.
Day 5
Here's the plan: We wake up in Takayama, where we will spend the morning at one of
its popular morning markets.
We then head to Kanazawa, where we'll have a lunch and visit the famous Kenrokuen Garden,
before staying the night at a traditional Japanese ryokan.
So we've arrived this morning at one of Takayama's two morning markets.
Now these morning markets that are open daily sell a selection of crafts, local vegetables
and street food.
I'm starving, so let's go and get breakfast.
We then head over to Toyama via the Takayama Line, before taking the Hokuriku Shinkansen
to Kanazawa.
From Kanazawa Station we make the 15 minute walk to Omicho Market.
We've just arrived in Kanazawa and first of all we're gonna get some local cuisine
for lunch and following that we're gonna take a trip to Kenrokuen, one of the three
most beautiful gardens in all of Japan.
Let's go!
Two of the things Kanazawa is most famous for are its incredible seafood and gold leaf.
Now this restaurant that we are in today in Omicho Market combines the two and it looks
absolutely delicious.
We're here in Kenrokuen, a garden that was made for the enjoyment of the local lord who
in the feudal era was the second richest in all of Japan after the Shogun.
Today this garden is opened to the public
and stands at Kanazawa's number one tourist attraction.
Following our exploration of Kenrokuen,
we make the short walk to our accommodation for the night.
I'm currently enjoying a course dinner of Kanazawa haute cuisine accompanied by some
delicious local sake.
After this it's off to bed because we've got a big day tomorrow.
Kanpai.
Day 6
We leave Kanazawa behind and head on to Fukui Prefecture, where we'll partake in a Kimono
wearing experience and visit Maruoka Castle.
After a morning of kimono fun, we head to the Hakusan Heisenji Shrine before making
our way to Shiga Prefecture and the town of Omi Hachiman,
where our day will come to an end.
We take the Hokuriku main line from Kanazawa to Awara Onsen station, before taking a bus
to Maruoka Castle, where we will make the short walk to the kimono rental shop.
We have arrived at Maruoka Castle, one of only twelve in Japan whose keep has survived
since the feudal era.
From Maruoka Castle we take a bus to Eiheijiguchi Station and then board a train all the way
to Katsuyama Station, from where a taxi will take us to the Hakusan Heisenji Shrine.
We've just arrived at Hakusan Heisenji Shrine and this place is well known for the moss,
which as you can see covers a lot of the shrine grounds.
Now the atmosphere in this place is just absolutely serene, so let's go and check it out.
To end our day of exploration we take a train back through the countryside from Katsuyama
to Fukui, where we board a limited express train to Maibara before heading to Omihachiman
via a special rapid train.
The ryokan we will be staying at is around 30 minutes' walk from the station, or around
ten minutes by taxi.
So we've made it to the end of Day 6 of this incredible journey from Tokyo to Kyoto.
And tomorrow we've got yet another amazing day planned.
But I think for now it's time for a little bit of relaxation
before getting a good night's sleep.
Day 7
For the last day of our trip, we start with a boat ride along the Omihachiman canal, after
which we'll explore the old merchant district and indulge in a local delicacy for lunch.
Following that it's off to the final stop of our journey: Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine.
So the canal that we are sailing on this morning was made by the local lord some centuries
ago and later it contributed heavily to Omi Hachiman's ascendency as a commercial hub.
Only a few minutes away from where the boat ride docks is Shinmachi-dori Street, along
which many historic buildings have been well-preserved.
So we're here at a restaurant inside the old merchant district and this restaurant
specializes in Omi Beef, the local delicacy.
Today we're going to eat it Sukiyaki Style and the way you do that is by cooking the
beef in this broth before having it with a little bit of raw egg.
It looks delicious and I cannot wait to dig in.
Back at Omi Hachiman Station, we take a 35-minute train ride to Kyoto, where we take the Nara
Line a couple of stops to Inari Station.
So we finally made it to our last destination on this 7 day tour from Tokyo to Kyoto, and
what better way to end a trip like this than at Kyoto's fantastic Fushimi Inari shrine.
And that concludes our amazing adventure along Japan's New Golden Route.

What Is A Lease Option - Duration: 8:51.
What is a lease option? Friend, I'm glad you're watching this video because today,
out of all the strategies that I have used to build wealth from the world of
real estate, I'm going to be sharing with you my absolute number one, absolute
favorite. It's called the lease option.
So, I want to share with you how I discovered this because years ago, I was
a brand-new investor. I hadn't made the millions of dollars, I hadn't you know,
created the amazing lifestyle that I have today. And I was just starting out. I
was nervous but I was hungry. And right now, if you're watching this I want to
ask. Are you hungry? Les Brown, famous motivational speaker and that big rich
deep black voice what do I say, "Are you hungry?'
And this hunger is this idea of what's motivating you. If you're watching this
video, I'm going to impart all that I can to show you how to build wealth today in
your life. And literally, lease option just gets me tickled pink because I'm going to
show you exactly how I stumbled on it and then how I mastered it. So, my buddies
were also investing at the time and they had already bought several homes. And I
had just bought my first house. And they basically said, "Kris, you need to do a
lease option." I'm like, "Well, what is that?' And they described this handmade sign.
They said, "We want you to go to the, you know, the the supply store like officemax
or wherever you get that bright fluorescent poster board." You know what
I'm talking about? And they said, "This is what we want you
to write. Rent... (In bad handwriting by the way. Don't print this out. Not a
professional sign.) Rent to own.' It didn't go off the edge like that. But it said
Rent To Own. No bank qualifying. And then it had my phone number. That this is not
really my phone number. I don't know how you guys still managed to get my phone
number. But I swear, it's out there somehow and I'm constantly getting text
from you guys. And you're awesome and I love watching you rock it in real estate.
There's a phone number and you put this sign basically out there. And bright
colored hideous and you put it on just like a stand and you plunk that in the
yard. They said, "You'll start getting calls like crazy." So on my very first
house, I'm doing this for the very first time. And I put that sign out in the yard
on that on that first investment property I had. And sure enough I started
getting calls. "Tell me about the house." And they had instructed me, "Don't answer
questions on the phone. Go bring people to the house and then do
an open house." So that next weekend, I had an open house. I had a few families walk
on through. And they said, "well, what is this?" and I was just following what was
given to me and then I'm the rest. And basically, I said, "Well, rent
to own means instead of renting and stop wasting your money. You can buy it." I own
this house. I'll be the bank and I'll help you buy it in a few years. And that
definitely had an attraction to a lot of people. So, they would walk through the
house. They have fall in love with that. They get excited and then they basically
said, "Okay, so how does this work?" I want to show you the flyer.
I'd put this flyer together and this is what I had learned. Now my mortgagee, what
I want you to understand this. I got a sweet, sweet, deal on this house. When you
do a house, you should always have a sweet deal. You should always be like
freaking excited about the numbers on the deal. So, I got this house and I
purchased it for a hundred and fifty thousand dollars. But on this exact house,
it actually had a value around $230,000. So, I
was excited because the difference between 150 grand and 230,
that's an $80,000 spread. Like, I felt like I hit the jackpot. Like, that
was way, way, way, way, way, more money than I made in a single year at the time. So,
I'd found a good deal. When I actually bought it, my mortgage payment was just
under a thousand dollars a month. Now, young, dumb, college kid trying to figure
out what he wants to do with this life. No real career path. Starting on this
real estate journey. I had an extra thousand dollar a month payment overhead
in my life. And that was kind of nerve-wracking for me. But I was
optimistic. So, this is the flyer that I put together. It said no. But you know,
rent to own, no bank qualifying and this is the exciting part. It basically said,
you could all you could pay $3,000 as a downpayment and you could have a payment
of $1,600 a month. Or you could put $5,000 down and you could have a payment
of 1,500 a month. Or you could put $7,000 down and you could have a payment of
1350 a month. Now, check it out dude. Zoom in on this. I want you to see this. $7000.
My payment was a thousand. So if someone gave me seven grand up front, I was still
going to have a $350 month cash flow. 1350 minus the
thousand. So, I'll put my cash flow here. This is going to be three hundred and fifty
dollars a month. Now, to a young, dumb, college
kid, $350 a month was enough to pay for like a car payment or to actually pay
down debt or to buy school books. On this one, if they gave me five grand, I was
going to make $500 a month. And I'm like, "Freak yeah!" Or if they give me $3,000, I'm
going to make $600 a month. Now, check it out. The family that actually got this house,
they gave me $3,000, they started paying $1600 a month. I was making $600 a month
cash flow. But let me ask you. Do you really care if they put more or less
down and if they give you that kind of cash flow? I'm just telling you right now,
you don't care, it doesn't matter. It all amortizes out and works out to the same
in over 24 months. One of them will be slightly bigger than the other
but the real big deal here is that you're getting paid a big chunk upfront
non-refundable. They're committing to entirely take care of the house because
that's what a lease option is. Plus you get a really juicy cash flow. This family
didn't buy this house but the next family did. And on that house, I made over
$100,000. In fact, my sold that made $130,000. And
I've made a lot of good money in real estate. This strategy is like
seriously it's the number one, it's what works for me, it's what I love about it.
Now, I want to share with you one last thing that you need to know about what a
lease option is. In real estate, when you have a home, you're going to rent it, you'll
have a rental contract. What we're doing is we're adding a special second
contract called option to purchase agreement. And what they're going to do is
this is the standard rental and this is the biggest air people will make in real
estate. In that same document, they'll add the language for the lease option. In
most states, that will actually qualify as tenure of ownership in the home. And
if they actually can't buy the house, they would actually have grounds to sue
you or make a legal argument to get their money back. What you need is a
separate document and this document is the option to purchase agreement. With
the option to purchase agreement, what you're going to do is that's where you're
going to say, "You're going to give me this amount down and this is the terms of
that agreement here's how long you have." You need the two agreements.
I've pioneered it, most people don't have it. It has kept me and my clients legally
safe. So you need to understand, the lease option is awesome but there are wrong
ways to do it and there are right ways to do it.
Payment calculators, what you should charge and rent. How to find the deals,
how to even buy real estate on lease option without
needing to put any money down. I share all of that with people when I actually
mentor with them. And I would tell you as a final bonus here that if you're going to
get in the game of real estate, you need a mentor. You need someone that will come
into your life that will actually show you the ropes and I'm all set up to do
that for you. So, if you'd actually like to join my real estate community of
thousands of investors. If you want to learn how to and buy the best real
estate in the country and you want to learn a strategy. That is 250%
more profitable than regular rentals. Today's information will hopefully get
started. But if you're looking to take a more aggressive step and work with me
and my team then what you do is you click the link in the description below
and reach out to have a private consultation. Someone that I've
hand-picked and trained on my team will evaluate where you're at in your life
and your circumstances and show you exactly what it would take for us to
work together. Here's what I can tell you, it's cheap. It will cost you something
because I want you to have some skin in the game. But it is so inexpensive
because I want too poor, dumb, college kids like me to be able to get all the
mentoring they needed to make their first million dollars in real estate. So,
check it out. And also, if you're not a subscriber, do that. I got valuable
content coming out every single day where I'm going to be teaching you new
things about how to make the most money you can in real estate because at the
end of the day, my friends, you want to be free. That freedom, you can't put a price
on it. And these jobs keep us landlocked working 40, 50, 60 hours a week versus
being free. And so real estate, it is the best pathway to freedom. And I invite you
to take me up on learning more about exactly what that looks like. Get that
free consultation and see how me and my team can help you create that wealth now.

Hannover Adventure Zoo: POLAR BEAR at Yukon Bay | zoos.media - Duration: 6:17.
Hello, today we visit Hannover Adventure Zoo.
At Hannover Adventure Zoo, we've got one of the most modern polar bear installation.
We've got a big water pool with wave system. So you can often see
the polar bears standing in the bay and enjoy floating in the waves.
You can also see them swimming and diving very often,
see them jumping down the big rocks head-first into the water.
Also on land they've got very different possibilties for experiences.
We've got big stones and many small stones,
we've got natural ground with many big and small grass growing on it,
a lot of bushes and trees, so there's really a lot pf
vegetation on the installation for these animals.
We've got a sand bath, a bark mulch bath,
we've got a water fall and, of course,
many different other possibilties to enrich the animals in addition:
Behind me you can see our red buoy in which our caretakers can put
a melon or an ice bomb and it will take a long time for the polar bears
to get their favorite food out. We've also got
more real toys, of course. We've got a big white ball
our males enjoy to play with.
We also have smaller balls, pipes with holes for food
we've got the antlers of our reindeers
our polar bears like very much, old jerry cans
filled with food and much more toys the caretakers can
use. Not every toy is in the enclosure on every day
because variety is import for the animals on
every day and they shouldn't
grow accustomed to a toy.
We were very happy, when we heard that not only we like our polar bear installation,
but also the experts of Polar Bears International. This is a
conservation organization working mainly in Canada and they visited us in
April. They observed our bears, looked at the encolusure
and they were really excited about our polar bear living
in a great installation like ours. Polar Bears International
works mainly in Canada and we support
a conservation project focussing on
tagging of female polar bears. The biologist
spend many month to look for female polar bears to choose
and attach tagging colars in order to collect data
answering important questions: where are the migration routes?
How long do they swim?
When do they go on the packed ice and when do they go back on land?
This is all important information in order to found protected areas
and find a way on which humans and animals can live together
in this habitat and it's important to optimise protection for the animals.
At Hannover Adventure Zoo, there are currently three polar bears.
Our two males are 10 years old. Sprinter came from Rhenen
and Nanook from Vienna. In 2010, they inaugurated this installation and live here
since it was opened. About one and a half years ago,
Milana joined us and is our female polar bear here.
She came from Moskow Zoo and we recognized
the bromance between Nanook and Sprinter suffered a bit since she'e here.
Since then the male polar bears live separated from each other
and we are about to find out who will be the one to
reproduce with Milana. This depends a little bit on her
but more on the coordinator of the European breeding program,
who will decide, who will be the male to reproduce with her.
We hope that in one, two or three years this beautiful polar bear enclosure will
also be inhabited by offspring, which would be an important next step
to benefit conservation of this species in this way, too.

How cryptocurrency can help startups get investment capital | Ashwini Anburajan - Duration: 6:39.
When I was raising investment for my startup,
a venture capitalist said to me,
"Ashwini, I think you're going to raise a few million dollars.
And your company -- it's going to sell for 50 to 70 million.
You're going to be really excited.
Your early investors are going to be really excited.
And I'm going to be really upset.
So I'm not going to invest in this deal."
I remember just being dumbstruck.
Who would be unhappy
with putting four or five million dollars into a company
and having it sell for 50 to 70 million?
I was a first-time founder.
I didn't have a wealthy network of individuals to turn to for investment,
so I went to venture capitalists
the most common form of investor in a technology company.
But I'd never taken the time to understand
what was motivating that VC to invest.
I believe we're living in a golden era of entrepreneurship.
There is more opportunity to build companies than ever before.
But the financial systems designed to fund that innovation,
venture capital,
they haven't evolved in the past 20 to 30 years.
Venture capital was designed to pour large sums of money
into a small number of companies that can sell for over a billion dollars.
It was not designed to sprinkle capital across many companies
that have the potential to succeed but for less, like my own.
That limits the number of ideas that get funded,
the number of companies that are created
and who can actually receive that funding to grow.
And I think it inspires a tough question:
What's our goal with entrepreneurship?
If our goal is to create a tiny number of billion-dollar companies,
let's stick with venture capital, it's working.
But if our goal is to inspire innovation
and empower more people to build companies of all sizes,
we need a new way to fund those ideas.
We need a more flexible system
that doesn't squeeze entrepreneurs and investors
into one rigid financial outcome.
We need to democratize access to capital.
In the summer of 2017, I went out to San Francisco,
to join a tech accelerator with 30 other companies.
The accelerator was supposed to teach us how to raise venture capital.
But when I got out there,
the startup community was buzzing about ICOs, or Initial Coin Offerings.
For the first time, ICOs had raised more money for young startups
than venture capital had.
It was the first week of the program.
Tequila Friday.
And the founders couldn't stop talking.
"I'm going to raise an ICO."
"I'm going to raise an ICO."
Until one guy goes,
"How cool if we did this all together?
We should do an ICO that combines the value of all of our companies
and raise money as a group."
At that point, I had to ask the obvious question,
"Guys, what's an ICO?"
ICOs were a way for young companies to raise money
by issuing a digital currency
tied to the value and services that the company provides.
The currency acts similar to shares in a company,
like on the public stock market,
increasing in value as it's traded online.
Most important, ICOs expanded the investor pool,
from a few hundred venture capital firms
to millions of everyday people, excited to invest.
This market represented more money.
It represented more investors.
Which meant a greater likelihood to get funded.
I was sold.
The idea, though, of doing it together still seemed a little crazy.
Startups compete with each other for investment,
it takes hundreds of meetings to get a check.
That I would spend my precious 15 minutes in front of an investor
talking not just about my own company, but all the companies in the batch,
was unprecedented.
But the idea caught on.
And we decided to cooperate, rather than compete.
Every company put 10 percent of their equity into a communal pool
that we then split into tradable cryptocurrency
that investors could buy and sell.
Six months and four law firms later --
(Laughter)
in January 2018, we launched the very first ICO
that represented the value of nearly 30 companies
and an entirely new way to raise capital.
We got a lot of press.
My favorite headline about us read,
"VCs, read this and weep."
(Laughter)
Our fund was naturally more diverse.
Twenty percent of the founders were women.
Fifty percent were international.
The investors were more excited, too.
They had a chance to get better returns,
because we took out the middleman fees of venture capital.
And they could take their money and reinvest it,
potentially funding more new ideas faster.
I believe this creates a virtuous cycle of capital
that allows many more entrepreneurs to succeed.
Because access to capital is access to opportunity.
And we have only just begun to imagine
what democratizing access to capital will do.
I would have never thought that my own search for funding
would lead me to this stage,
having helped nearly 30 companies get investment.
Imagine if other entrepreneurs tried to invent new ways to access capital
rather than following the traditional route.
It would change what gets built, who builds it
and the long-term impact on the economy.
And I believe that's way more exciting
than just trying to invest in the next billion-dollar startup.
Thank you.
(Applause)

Fast Food Kale? Is Chick-fil-A's Superfood Side Scary? - Duration: 16:15.
Hello everyone, this is Running On Empty ...
Food Review!
Well,
Happy Halloween
ladies and gentlemen and everyone watching!
This is Running On Empty
Food Review!
I am your host TheReportOfTheWeek.
Halloween...
Halloween is such a fascinating holiday, you know?
Where...
I mean there's there's nothing else like it.
I know I did a lecture a few years ago where I was kind of I was bashing Halloween, you know?
I'll say it outright - I wasn't the biggest fan of it then. But, I've kind of
embraced it more so to speak or I might not be the type to go to Halloween parties and
"get plastered" as they say but I really do like the aesthetic of the holiday. I gotta...
I gotta get that off off the bat. I really do. I do like the lights and the decorations and all that.
I think it is quite quite interesting quite cool!
But man Halloween is is such a
fascinating fascinating thing right? Where people they get up at the break of dawn, you know, and
they go out they paint eggs.
They they get a little basket full of candy and and little kind of fake
plastic grass and they kind of put it in there. And then it all
culminates and reaches an absolute peak just before midnight right? Where the Easter Bunny comes over and is tapping on the window. And..
You know, not not that he actually has anything to contribute
he's just kind of creeping around, but still. And you all just gather around and listen to the newly restored
English service for Radio Exterior De España on the shortwave radio.
Nothing beats it. That's the honest truth.
But there is that creepy aspect to it also!
Not even about the eh Easter Bunny or any of that. You know, that's just kind of to throw you off a little bit.
That fear!
What are we afraid? Well...
Everyone is afraid of something different.
But I think I found that one thing! If there is one single
food or drink beverage, I thought that the Nightmare King from Burger King was absolutely terrifying.
I saw it.
That thing was was spooky. That's the only way to describe it. But I think I found something that
singularly will will overcome
any amount of
terror I suppose
that the Nightmare King might have had and
That's the Superfood Side, a kale salad, from Chick-fil-A.
I honestly think that's probably one of the scariest items out there.
So many people don't even know how to even comprehend it, you know. There's different levels of fear.
This is one of those those things that just
gets into the absolute core of your soul and just shakes you and
eats at you deep inside and just leads to
existential dread!
To the point really beyond any comprehension or
conceivable expression, to be honest.
This is one of those things that eats at you and will just leave you haunted for probably decades...
at the very least.
They call it the Superfood Side.
Why?
No one knows!
Look, what does it have on it? We'll find out in a minute. I gotta take a sip of water because my mouth is dry.
Well, I kind of drank half the glass of water because I'm just that scared!
Here's what it has. Let's just brace ourselves!!
Broccolini and
Kale
Blend.
That right there was even just difficult to read as it is and that patented broccolini -
They're not just... that's the real deal!
I just I want I want you to know how how big that is.
Maple vinaigrette dressing,
dried sour
cherries and
these!
That they call nuts.
Right there.
And that's what it comes with. You can get this in various sizes. I got a large and that's a view of it -
what they call
the Superfood Side.
See how it's green like that? You don't see something like that every day! I'll tell you that.
So when it comes down to
proper
consumption etiquette, 'cause you're dealing with something that's on an
entirely different level here, you have to do it in a certain way.
Where it's just... when it's that terrifying you have to show a certain degree of
respect and etiquette while consuming this.
So first thing you have to do is you have to put the nuts on it!
You have to add this little bit of a garnish right there a little bit of a
garland.
Put the nuts on it. So you kind of just rip the top off.
And then you just dump them in. If you want to consider it like a sacrificial offering
to please the Superfood Side Gods?
Then just look at it that way, you know, whatever whatever makes it an easier task to complete
so to speak. You know, you might say, "I don't want to anger the Superfood Side Gods." So this might be something to do
to just kind of keep you, and especially your family, safe in the end. So you can see the nuts on the top right there.
Right? You got to mix it together.
This is just how you please it, you know, this is how you,
you know, consider it as I said like a sacrificial
offering.
You might not want to do it, but it just has to be done at this point!
It's it's the only thing I can even say.
And then...
Once it's at least mixed together into some acceptable degree anyway, you can see it there.
You have to take this they give you this plastic instrument to consume it properly with. As I said,
there's a whole ritual that goes to it and they call this a plastic fork and you just have to...
See you have a plastic fork. You got to have a really good grip on it. Make sure it's firm there and you have to...
Let me show you this close. You have to
kind of dig it like that. You have to puncture something like this.
See! You got to be really careful with it and once you have
some of the kale or the broccolini
skewered with this plastic harpoon, so to speak,
then you can open your mouth and consume it but it has to be in that order.
So with that - we followed the procedures. I think we'll be safe this time around. I'm gonna give it a try.
It's the Superfood Side kale salad from Chick-fil-A ...
Going in!
Before I eat this,
it's Halloween...
Wish me luck!
Ladies and gentlemen, it's going in!
One one more bite.
You know?
There was a time
when people would consider one of the most powerful forces in the universe to be quasars.
Once you've crossed paths with the Superfood Side from Chick-fil-A,
I just I personally don't think that that's factually accurate anymore.
I think that this is a far more powerful force to reckon with quite frankly.
Here's what it breaks down to...
To be quite honest it's not bad.
We'll just get to a quick rundown of it. Here's the interesting thing about the Superfood Side, right?
It has the kale to it, right?
It's a kale side. And then it has the broccolini which is like a it's just broccoli for the most part.
It has lots of these leafy greens to it
The interesting thing though is that it has this, you know,
this maple vinaigrette dressing to it and these dried sour cherries,
which you very rarely ever see on on a salad, you know?
I've been trying to really emphasize the more terrifying points of this for Halloween time, but to be quite honest,
despite the fear level
that this has to it - It tastes just fine. I mean I can't I can't give any complaints.
I might not be the world's biggest salad connoisseur or consumer. I'll say that right off the bat.
But the interesting thing about this
I think that this is a really good salad for for anyone really even if you aren't like a salad aficionado or
just a certified salad consumer.
I think this is a good place to start to be honest because I know sometimes if you just like going on the, you know,
the fatty greasy food
roundabout, so to speak, and that's what you like to eat. You want to kind of get a healthier option?
I think this is a good place to start.
When it's not overwhelming it's not overbearing,
you know, but it tastes good no matter which way I think you look at it. You still get those more healthy leafy greens.
You can't really too much of the kale or the broccoli believe it or not.
I mean it's certainly there but it's very well covered by this maple vinegarette garnish.
Which does have that little bit of Tang. I would actually say it has the perfect
amount of tang to it. And then that little bit of sweetness to it as well which just really ties it all together.
The dried sour cherries - that you do not see very often when it comes down to salads and I think that's an awesome addition!
That's probably
why this costs $4.19 for the large.
Because it has premium ingredients and I mean, it goes together great. It's more on the chewier side.
So, you know, you're really going to be giving yourself a jaw workout,
so to speak, where you know, you're really gonna be chewing it up. And...
It's not like it's gonna disintegrate your teeth or anything, but it will be it will have that that more chewy texture to it.
In the end, however,
It's uh, I mean, it's just not bad. It's a pretty simple salad.
But I mean it tastes good it has as I said, it's just a healthy salad.
Goes together good. Has that perfect tang. I mean the salad dressing is great.
You know, I'm not a big fan of salad dressing, but this works out great!
I mean, as I said, it's just got that perfect tangy and sweet balance - ties it all together.
Cherries are a great addition. The nuts are optional.
I mean, I think it adds a little bit of extra to it, you know, but it's not absolutely necessary.
And uh yeah the kale and the broccolini herb. Or we'll just call it broccoli. It does go together nicely.
So that said, you know the price for this is $4.19.
If there was only one thing that really just two things that I just want to add to this and...
Salad, I don't want to issue any disrespect. Because as I said, this is not a force that you want to reckon with.
So I'm trying to just tread very very lightly here when I say this.
But, I think maybe if it had a little bit of romaine lettuce, perhaps some more leafy greens
I think would do would be a nice addition to it.
And also when you do see the size of this, I mean you can see that it isn't the deepest or largest container.
I mean it certainly does have a
good amount of
greens and ingredients to it, but I wish that it was a little bit larger.
I mean when you see that and you see that's the large, you have to say to yourself,
"Well, what does the small look like?" I mean it doesn't it doesn't seem very large for a salad because you'll have some salads from
any establishment and you order the large and it's huge they're giving you like a whole bowl of greens. As whereas this is just a
tiny little thing.
Might be small and it might be a little more on the costly side.
But it does taste very good and
I just think it's a good a good salad that even even people who may not be very seasoned
consumers of said salads will very likely enjoy it. I mean, I very seldom get the Superfood Side, but I enjoy it.
I think it tastes very good. So with that out of 10, I'm gonna be giving it a 9.0 out of 10.
That's a 9 flat out of 10. I just think it's a very enjoyable salad - very well put together.
It has a great balance of ingredients
and flavors there and it's just something I recommend you give it a try. Even if you're not a huge fast-food consumer,
Try it out. I personally recommend it and I think you'll probably enjoy it.
So bear in mind everything that I said. Treat the salad with respect.
Don't don't, you know, don't disrespect the salad. Just remember,
It's a very very terrifying scary force, but I think you will be pleased with it in the end!
That's all that I have for you ladies and gentlemen. I'm your host TheReportOfTheWeek.
Today's view is for the Superfood Side from
Chick-fil-A. That's all that I have for you. Thank you. Take care and have a Happy Halloween!
