Once upon a time, there was a little princess
living in the tiny kingdom, consisting four people
the King, the Queen, and the little little Prince
Just so you know, there are many tiny kingdoms like these
in the beautiful Rau Muống Land.
So, our little princess had many great friends
who were also Prince and Princess in their own tiny Kingdoms.
Everything was great and the little princess grew up
in peace and happiness in her own kingdom.
Unfortunately one day, the King was sick.
He was so sick that he couldn't stand up and walk.
Being worried about the King's health, the Queen decided to take the King to the Magic Island
with help from the little Princess because she can speak the language of the Magic Island.
After a difficult boat trip, they then reached the Magic Island successfully.
The doctors in the Magic Island were profound and very helpful.
They did a lot of tests but unfortunately the King was diagnosed with a fatal disease.
The sky seemed to fall down to all 3 people.
The Queen burst into tears. The King swore and cried without sobbing.
The Princess had a recurring nightmare every day.
While waiting for the doctors to come up with a treatment plan,
the King asked the Princess why this thing happened to him.
He said: "When I was small, I never mocked any handicapped class mates. I usually helped them.
Why am I now on the wheelchair, could not walk and soon to be dead?"
The 20-year-old Princess was silent. She was usually good at answering questions in class,
but for this life question, she gave up.
As in the name of the Magic Island, magic did happen.
The doctors were optimistic, they could extend the life for the King.
They gave special treatment to the King in 2 months while they were in the Magic Island.
The King felt better, the Queen was glad and everyone was happier.
However, sometimes the Princess felt lonely because she missed her friends back in Rau Muống Land.
But again, this is the Magic Island.
Tah dahhhh! The Princess suddenly met Prince Charming who lived nearby.
They had a huge crush on Christmas Day.
Santa Claus gave them a big present!
So well, I could finish my story here with the "they will live happily ever after"
but this is no way a fairy tale.
This is just a starting chapter, let's move on to the next chapter.
After special treatment in the Magic Island, they all came back to Rau Muống Land.
Here, things started to get worse.
The King felt more tired every week, he could not move his body.
He could not even go back to the Magic Island for the check-up.
Everyone took care of the King and they started to plan about the funeral,
which really scared the hell out of the Princess.
Meanwhile, Prince Charming planned to leave the Magic Island
and headed to the far far away Dreamy Land where he could fulfill his dreams.
It is likely that they are not going to meet each other ever ever again.
so their love story was over,
which was like taking away the only sunshine left from the princess.
The Princess felt like she had never been that sad.
She felt like she was living in a dark world without any sunshine
while her friends were living in a completely different world.
Knowing that this was not the right thing to do, she isolated herself from her close friends.
The King got worse and worse,
and in the most unexpected day, he passed away.
After the funeral, the Princess came back to work
and tried to do everything in normal ways.
She also came back to her close dear friends,
without any explanation and sharing
about how she felt in the difficult time without them.
She tried to block all the negative feelings
without knowing that it will block the positive feelings as well.
She worked and studied and planned, ran around helping her family,
being super busy in order to take her life back to being under control.
After a while, the princess realized that she was no longer the Princess any more,
she became a Warrior.
She picked up a shield along the way.
Whenever she met someone, she showed out the Shield to protect herself.
She also had a sword to fight with monsters.
There is a monster following her long time ago.
It has 4 heads: Procrastination, Can't do attitude, Resistance to change, No creativity.
She realized that if she can beat this monster, she would be much more successful and stronger.
2 months after the funeral, she applied to the Freedom Institute
as she believed that she will learn how to fight the monster in this place.
So her journey with new mates and coaches in the Freedom Institute began.
As in the name of the Freedom Institute, there is a lot of freedom in this place.
The mates can do and learn and develop in whatever way they want.
In the first several weeks, she was quite surprised
to see that most of them, especially the coaches do not have swords.
They only have flowers.
"This is ridiculous, how can you guys fight with monsters?" She asked.
"Actually we don't have any monsters here, we only have pets."
For example, Mr Banana, one of the coaches has a pet named "Excel" because he cannot use Excel.
Another coach - Mr. Knows-A-Lot, has a pet named "Inner Critique"
as he has very strong inner critique and perfectionism.
And to her surprise, these coaches use flowers to tame the pets,
not swords to kill the monsters.
So gradually she learned to drop her swords, turn her monster into a pet and tame it.
She also meets wonderful team mates who are not only unique, talented but also friendly.
They have a ritual of "check-in" and "check-out" everyday
to actually be present in the Institute and as hello and goodbye.
Together, they have dealt with many challenges such as: trading a red paper clip,
imagining stories, helping each other and even sharing personal stories.
They open up themselves, let each other see their vulnerability
and not afraid of being judged.
As time passes by, she realizes that she doesn't need the Shield
whenever she interacts with her team mates and other people.
So one day in the Banana Island,
she dropped the Shield and started to talk to people with her true feelings.
So after 7 weekends at the Freedom Institute,
she quits being a warrior with shield and sword.
Now, she is just a girl who is lost in life
but enjoys being lost and soon to find what she is looking for.
Together with her mates, they plan and they will become Change-makers.
Joining Knowmads to her is a magic.
Meeting and knowing the coaches and the team mates is also a miracle.
She now believes that magic can happen anytime and anywhere, not only in the Magic Island.
Every moment and connection between people is a magic by itself.
So what does she want to do with her future life?
Well I dont know, maybe find ways to spread magic to more people.
