Amazing Thai Food - UNSEEN Coconut Milk BBQ Chicken in Thailand! ไก่กอและที่อร่อยที่สุดในโลก - Duration: 13:22.

- Good morning, everyone, it's Mark Wiens,

I'm in Nakhon Si Thammarat in the South of Thailand.

And today, I'm gonna take you on a

special little day trip with Ying and Micah,

and we are going,

it's about 60 kilometers away to a place called Hua Sai.

(upbeat reggae music)

And what's special about this place is that

it's where Ying was born.

And I haven't ever been there before

and I think it's been many, many years

since Ying has been there.

She was born there and then her family moved to other places

especially most of her family moved to Krubi.

We are in Nakhon Si Thammarat the town right now.

And Hua Sai is along the ocean.

It's about 65 kilometers from here,

so we are on our way now.

Good morning, Micah!

(upbeat reggae music)

(speaking in foreign language)

We made it to Hua Sai!

And I didn't tell you this earlier this morning,

because Ying and I weren't sure if this place

was gonna be open or if it even existed anymore!

But I am

so outrageously excited because we made it here

and we drove straight here

and they are open and they are still running.

This is a grilled chicken place that Ying remembers

from her childhood.

And Ying tells me stories that they used to drive from Krubi

which is maybe three or four hours drive away.

And they used to drive straight here to come back

and they would even like stop anywhere in town

to visit relatives or anything,

but they'd come straight to get grilled chicken here.

And this the type of special southern Thai grilled chicken

called gai galae.

They're on the third generation now who is running the shop.

So they've been here 50 years or so.

Or longer, Ying?

And she remembers your family? - Yeah.

- She remembers Ying's family.

(speaks in foreign language)

The barbecued chicken here is one of a kind.

And each skewer goes through an intense cooking process

that's amazing to watch.

Their special barbecue sauce is made from a combination

of pure coconut cream, curry paste which includes

dry fragrant chilies, peanuts and palm sugar.

The chicken itself is first loaded onto the bamboo skewers

and grilled without any seasoning.

After the initial grilling process,

the chicken skewers are bathed

in the glorious coconut cream barbecue sauce

and slow grilled until the coconut cream starts to clot

and dry onto the chicken.

The chicken is then left to rest

before it's smothered in another coat

of thick barbecue sauce.

Again, it grills,

the coconut cream starts to caramelize,

and then it's taken off the grill,

and left to rest and dry again.

Finally, the chicken undergoes one more

full barbecue sauce immersion,

and one more trip to the grill

before it's ready to be served.

It's safe to say they do not skimp

on the barbecue sauce here.

And you'll know that as soon as you see them cooking,

and when you take your first bite.

(speaks in foreign language)

Okay and she just handed me one,

my first skewer right off the grill.

Oh wow, that smells like a fresh coconut!

And you can smell the red chilies in there.

And look, you have to just,

to really appreciate this chicken,

you gotta get a really close up look at this.

It's really heavy because that is heavier

than the amount of,

much heavier than the amount of chicken on there

because of the barbecue sauce and the coconut milk

that just caked on there,

and just coated on there and caramelized on there

by that slow grilling process.

I haven't even had my first bite

and I'm having a little bit of an emotional breakdown

right now!

Oh, wow! (laughs)

That is unbelievable!

Their sauce is so thick

and so rich!

It's like the consistency of peanut butter.

But you can taste that it's just

fully coconut cream.

And then the chicken remains really juicy on the inside.

And then you can taste those dried chilies in there.

You can taste the little bit of peanutey taste,

and then you can also taste a lot of garlic in there.

That just might be the best single bite

of barbecue sauced chicken that I've ever had in my life!

And I'm not saying that lightly!

That is absurd, actually, how good it is.

Be careful of the wire at the end,

you don't wanna bite into that!

And normally you could untwist the wire

and then take it out of the skewer but I just,

I don't have time for that right now!

That is life changing.

That's unbelievable!

Micah was sleeping at first,

but Micah has

woken up for the occasion now.

But I just,

I just licked my first,

my first piece of gai galae Hua Sai,

grilled chicken.

I licked the skewers!

That was

a life changing grilled chicken experience.

It's so good!

But it is extremely rich!

That amount of coconut,

I don't even know how much condensed coconut milk

I just ate.

But that is a lot per skewer because it is literally,

it could be like,

in some parts it was literally like a centimeter thick

with that coconut milk just caked up on that chicken.

But there is nothing as great

as a successful food pilgrimage.

And they are a very, very friendly family.

We got six more skewers to go,

and we're gonna drive to the beach now

and eat them all.

But,

oh, this is

the type of food memory and food experience

that I will never forget.

And what's also very cool is that

they remember Ying's family, especially Ying's father.

Ying said they used to go there and order

like 50 skewers

at a time!

The beach here is not extremely nice,

but it is really, really nice and quiet.

Just a few people are out here,

a few fishermen.

And it's just so peaceful.

Oh, and I'm so happy.

Ying and I failed to bring a mat to sit at the beach,

so we just decided to back the car in,

opened up the trunk,

and sit in here in the shade enjoying the breeze.

Oh hi, Micah!

(upbeat reggae music)

One thing that Ying just pointed out to me

is that you can tell it's all coconut milk

because none of it sticks to the bag!

Look the bag is clean.

Sometimes, if you eat this type of chicken,

they add

flour to the barbecue sauce,

and then you can tell because it kinda clumps up on the bag

and it sticks to the bag.

Oh, it just has this amazing, garlicky, garlicky coconut,

coconut field smell to it!

Alright.

Okay, I got all barbecue sauce in that bite!

And that's not a bad thing!

I didn't get any chicken in that bite!

And that's not a bad thing!

Micah!

(baby coos)

This is just on the next level.

I don't know if I've ever tasted such thick,

condensed coconut milk in anything.

Ever.

(upbeat reggae music)

Hua Sai is a very small, little town,

so there's not a lot going on there,

so we decided to take a drive back.

We're driving, heading back towards Nakhon Si Thammarat,

and we're gonna hopefully find a restaurant

somewhere on the side of the road

for another bite to eat for lunch.

(upbeat reggae music)

We didn't really have any plans of where to eat.

The chicken was the only plan that we had,

so we just drove down the highway.

And this is a restaurant.

They have food here, they have a convenience store,

they have a gas station.

They have it all right on this little home property.

And I just love this style

of countryside eating in Thailand.

Ying and I have our own little private cabana.

Micah

is fast asleep.

Eating at little countryside restaurants like this

where the mother or the family

just prepares the food right in their house

and just serves it right outside the house,

is one of the joys of being in the countryside of Thailand

or being in Thailand.

I love eating at little places like this.

I'm gonna begin with the gaeng som,

which is the sour southern Thai curry.

And there's fish,

there are bamboo shoots in here,

and it's orange from turmeric

and lots of chilies in there.

I'll put this onto my rice.

Very sour,

and

it's not spicy on my first bite,

but it's that type

of curry that you know the heat will build

as you keep on eating it.

Next up is gaeng khua kraduk moo,

which is pork curry, southern curry.

Navigate the bone structure of this.

Actually, I'm gonna have to just eat that.

Let me add a little bit more of that sauce, though.

Oh yeah, that looks wonderful!

Mm, mm!

You can taste a lot of black pepper in there,

you can taste the chilies.

It's fragrant, also with dried chilies.

And then you gotta just pick up these bones and

there's no way to eat them with a spoon.

Oh, that was a good chunk of meat right there!

And next up, this is gaeng tai pla.

One of the absolute best of all.

I love how there's an entire,

I think this is an eggplant.

It almost looks like a lime,

but like an entire, wrinkly eggplant in here.

And there's fish,

and if you look at the broth,

you can see how many chilies are in here.

It just looks filled with chilies.

I'll take some of that fish.

That's good!

Oh, that's wonderful!

Oh, yeah.

That has a kick to it.

That is definitely the Nakhon Si Thammarat flavor

that you want when you're in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

The dishes are not sweet whatsoever.

Just spicy and salty is the flavor

that is common in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Even at just restaurants like this,

you're always served a plate of raw vegetables

which is one of the best.

I don't know if I've ever eaten these leaves before.

These are transparent, neon green.

Oh, wow!

That is so sour, but these are not--

a lot of the random leaves that you eat are very chalky.

But these aren't chalky at all.

It's like chewing on a lime peel

but much softer.

Oh, that's a really good random leaf!

And then finally last dish is just some kind of a,

a pork soup.

(upbeat reggae music)

Oh, that is nice and sour

and has a porky, bone flavored broth to it.

Ying and I just finished with that meal.

That was amazingly good

and what I love so much is that

this is no planning,

we're just driving down the road,

we stopped at a restaurant,

rice and curry southern Thai restaurant,

just cooking out of their home.

It's home-cooked food,

and it's just absolutely delicious!

We're gonna just head back to

the Nakhon Si Thammarat city from here

so I'm gonna end the video now.

Thank you all very much for watching today's video.

Please remember to give it a thumb's up if you enjoyed it.

فهد الكندري - برنامج فسيروا - طير و طائرات - الحلقة 19 | Fahad AlKandari - Faseero - Eps# 19 - Duration: 15:53.

"Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? "

"None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful."

"Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing."

[Surat Al-Mulk]

How birds can fly in the sky without fans or machines?!

and what is so peculiar about the bones of the birds that they can fly..?

and how did man learn from birds, how to build airplanes?!

[Birds]

'Fasero..'

'If it wasn't because of Allah, it wouldn't have occurred..'

'Fasero..'

'From this you will attain faith..'

We see birds in the sky..

they are flapping their wings.. free from the power of gravity!

Who is holding them up?!

Who did tame them?!

Who did teach them, their destination and their food?!

These two wings..

have inspired man how to flay!!

Subhan Allah, the creator, Who created a fascinating creation!

and He taught and inspired!

"It is the work of Allah, who perfected all things."

The skeleton of birds is light to reduce the weight of the bird../ Rainer Alten Kamp, Specialist Biology, Berlin

Skeleton in human is 10% to 15% of his weight

While in birds it forms 8% to 9% of the bird's weight. So, the bones are hollow unlike that of human

This will maintain the stability and the balance of the bird..

being lighter than the skeleton of man.

And in some bones of birds, there are air spaces..

that man doesn't have like them.. they provide the lungs with Oxygen in the process of exhalation!

and they make the bones lighter.

The lighter the weight of the body, the more the ability of the bird to fly for a longer period with less energy consumption

remember that, for the bird to fly, it has to resist the effect of gravity pull.

For that, Allah, Almighty, gave it the light weight and the wings..

Birds have very high capabilities, and they possess a circulatory system with a heart that is more effective than the human heart

and they have very strong muscles..

and the body structure is formed to keep the light weight!

The lungs of birds are full of oxygen when inhaling or exhaling. This means that birds have twice the ability of man to breathe!

And they have very big muscles.. for example the chest muscle is very big!

and it has high capacities.. so, its heart beats are faster than human heart beats!

the fastest rate of heart beats of man is 220 beat / Minute.. but the heart beats of some birds may reach up to 900 beat / Minute!

In some species of birds, the heart rate is 1200 beat / Minute

This indicates very very high capabilities.. and very high body temperature too

As the body temperature of man is between 36° C and 38° C, while in birds temperature is between 40° C and 48° C

and this also helps while flying, as it gives more energy that is needed..

Some birds can fly continuously without stopping for about 10,000 Km.

There are some birds that migrate from Kamchatka in Russia, to South Australia!

this means flying for 10,000 Km. without a stop!

To know how did man benefit from birds in the manufacture of airplanes..

we had to meet an aviation engineer

'Light.. affability.. and yearning..'

What is the similarities between the design of the airplane and the body of birds..

The idea of the shape of planes was based, altogether upon the shape of the body of birds

So, as you see, the bird has wings, tail, front..

and the plane has them all..

We find that the front of the airplane looks like that of birds..

and also, the body of the airplane..

is like that of the bird itself!

What was the first plane that took off on air?

Of course, the first trials for flying was attempted from old centuries..

and the first plane that was officially registered for flying was..

on 1903, by the wright brothers ..

Yes, about that..

and the first scheduled flight was on 1914..

and the price of the ticket was 5 Dollars..

I want to know how all the parts of the bird were copied..

for example.. the wings of the bird..

how do the wings of the airplane work.. the tail.. and so on?

tell me about that..

To start with, the wings are..

the main factor that airplanes can fly..

they are mainly used for taking off.. and on landing''

while the tail.. it has two parts.. they are the horizontal tail.. and the vertical tail..

the vertical part of the tail is used..

to direct the airplane to the right or left..

and..

the horizontal part is used to direct the airplane, up and down!

There are similarities in the mechanism of flaying between the airplane and the bird!

The wings of airplanes almost look like that of birds..

Both wing are made to direct the air pressure, under and above the wings..

so that the bird can fly up.

The difference is that, the bird can move its wings actively free.. up and down!

First we tried to fly like birds, but our body weight is much heavier than birds..

So, airplanes do not move the wings up and down like birds.

and also, this will not make the situation comfortable for the passengers!

And the mechanism of moving forward is different.. as it is done by engines that moves the airplane forward.. against its backward pushing power

But, the bird moves its wings up and down to move forward.

and this description is the exact description that is given by Qur'an..

''Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread [Safat]and folded in?"

[Safat] means that their wings are outspread..

Subhan Allah, this is the mechanism of flying..

These are the required conditions for flying.. the body have to be as light as a feather..

and it must have energy to move the wings..

and these are very much available for birds.

'Fasero..'

'If it wasn't because of Allah, it wouldn't have occurred..'

'Fasero..'

Honestly, the most scary thing about airplanes, when travelling in them.. is the taking off and the landing!

otherwise you feel nothing, Subhan Allah

Correct!

How are these processes of taking off and landing?!

These processes are crucial..

and they frighten everyone..

I'm sure many people feel the same about this!

The process of taking off is like that of landing..

and wings play a major role in the process..

of course, the plain needs speed..

that is achieved by the pushing forward of the engines..

but without wings the plane will not fly.

The passengers sitting on the seats close to the wings, they can see..

the flaps that are pressed down when the plane is taking off

they help the plane to take off.. are they lowered?

yes..

When they are down, the air resistance is against the direction of taking off..

so, air.. facing the wings.. will lead to elevation of the plane..

as in case of kites.. flying them in the open or at seashore

There are different methods of flying between birds.. The first is the gliding flight..

This is almost like in Glider planes..

The bird glides from a high site..

Then it spreads its wings and flys..

so, it doesn't need much effort!

and this what the Gliding plane does!

then it searches for an air vortex to use it to ascend up

so, it collects air under its wings and circles with the airflow to rise up..

then it flies to another air swirl.. hundreds of miles away..

then it uses the air swirl again for gliding down to land.. this method will save the energy of the bird!

The second method is that..

flying by moving their wings up and down..

this movement will make the wings flap easily

and the bird will be able to proceed forwards and upwards.

The third method is by flaying while It is steadily fixed in air like a hummingbird..

the hummingbird flaps with its wings in a shape of number 8 in English

so, it remains in its position on air, especially in front of flowers while feeding on their nectar.

These are the three methods of flying..

few birds, like the hummingbird are capable of doing the last method.

What makes the plane steady on air?!

I've noticed that while traveling on airplanes.. at certain times it seems that the plane is fixed in place..

it doesn't move, of course, unless if there is turbulence..

what does fix it steady?

Of course, there is a coordination between the air itself and the wings.. less bower from the engines..

but, mainly due to..

the tail.. the vertical and the horizontal stabilizers.. at the tail..

they keep the plane more steady on air!

steady like this..

How has humanity benefited from the aviation industry?

The aviation industry have changed the world..

and humanity has benefited a lot from this..

as regards travelling.. trading.. cargo transport

Today, air traffic is very active.. extremely active..

an example of the most busy airports..

is Chicago airport at US..

they transport 77 Million passengers per year!

Even here, in Kuwait, the traffic is getting very busy..

there is an increasing demand for travelling..

and as we are flourishing now..

and it is almost the safest method of transport..

because of its strict and accurate laws..

So, here in Kuwait we have about..

35 thousand to..

60 thousand travelers daily!

Every day?! yes.. active traffic, in and out.. arrival and departure.

We have teeth, and we chew food..

But, birds have no teeth, they can only swallow food..

and digestion occurs in the stomach by the help of small stones

and this makes birds lighter in weight..

as not having teeth.. saves a lot of weight for the bird!

The shape of the anterior end of the plane.. it is tapering..

as that of the bird's beak!

what is the importance of this?

can the plane be in a different shape?

No, it will be difficult?

it is always required that the front end..

It is needed that the anterior end to be tapering..

to make the plane faster, by cutting through the air in the front!

Subhan Allah, we can see this but without thinking about it..

Subhan Allah this is its scientific bases.. reasons for having this shape..

as the case with birds.. their front beaks..

airplanes are made similarly, with a pointed front end as much as possible.

Man couldn't have made airplanes if he didn't have birds in life!

unfortunately..

many people ignore this grace!

'It is not magic or insanity..'

'It has disproved all the assumption..'

'Our people, if you try to understand..!'

'the powerful truth in it.'

'It is not magic or insanity..'

'It has disproved all the assumption..'

'Our people, if you try to understand..!'

'the powerful truth in it.'

A fantasying thing to see..

Subhan Allah.. it is really amazing

it is heavy!!

Subhan Allah, then it ascends with smooth way..

Before, they said; it is impossible for metal iron to fly!!

Yes!

as an engineer, what do you think the future of aviation will be like?

what is next?!

The growth in aviation industry is very very big.

The numbers of the planes that are manufactured during the last 100 or 120 years..

it is expected that the same number of airplanes will be manufactured during the next 10 to 30 years!!

The longest commercial flight in the world, was 16 hours and 23 minutes, and for a distance of 15,000 km, it was carried by Qatar Airways

So far, there are about 10,000 species of birds..

Every year new species of birds are discovered, most of them are at South Asia and South America

The most famous among birds, as we know, are the chickens..

they produce eggs..

Other famous birds are Falcons and Ostriches

Most of them are big birds.. there are amazing small birds too, as the Hummingbird

It is famous for its beauty and agility.. and it is nice to watch it..

I know that many of you know about a 100 bird or more..

from your surroundings or from the zoo..

Wings.. feather.. bones.. of birds..

and the air whirlings in the sky that carry birds..

they didn't occur by chance..

and they are not made purposelessly..

Actually, Allah made them under control, for us

"Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky?"

"None holds them up except Allah."

"Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe."

'Before it's the right time..'

'nothing was there..'

'there was no time.. no place!'

'Allah just said to the universe; Be.. and it is!'

'Life will be beautiful..'

'If we just have reflected upon the signs given from Al-Ilah..'

'beautify your vision by.. looking at all that is made by His Hands..

'Fasero..'

'you will see how Allah has created it..'

'Fasero..'

'There is no a fault to be found..'

My Thoughts on Religion - Duration: 3:15.

Let's talk about religion this week.

Whether you're a believer or a non-believer, religion has, and probably always will, play

some role in society.

This is why religion has been at least a part of so many of the discussions I've had on

this show, from interviews with an atheist like Sam Harris, to a Catholic like Bishop

Barron, to a christian Dinesh D'Souza, to orthodox Jew like Ben Shapiro, to ex-muslim

Yasmine Mohammed to atheist Muslim Ali Rizvi, to Jew turned atheist turned Christian like

Andrew Klavan, and so on.

All of these religious descriptors exist for each of these individual people, no matter

how confusing they might be to anyone from the outside looking in.

I for one, have consistently enjoyed talking to people from all walks of life and seeing

what they believe and how they took, or did not take, the leap of faith to get where they

are in their spiritual journey.

As I've said many times before, I am NOT a believer, but I don't really care whatever

anyone else believes, as long as their religious beliefs don't take the form of legislating

my life.

In the privacy of your home, you can believe in Yaweh or Jesus or Mohammed or the flying

Spaghetti Monster and that's none of my business.

If your religious beliefs give you some sense of purpose or inner piece then great, it's

when your belief bleeds into who I can marry or wanting me to be thrown off a building

when I have a problem with you...and your beliefs.

As for that leap of faith, I usually explain my feelings about belief with a simple basketball

analogy.

If you told me you saw LeBron James dunk from half court last night, well I couldn't take

that just on faith alone.

I'd need some sort of evidence, like at the very leaast seeing the videotape with my own

eyes, as proof of your outrageous claim.

So it seems only logical to me to treat the biggest questions of the universe with the

same intellectual rigor as my imaginary basketball analogy.

Belief aside, there are many attachments people have to religion which often are cultural

and based in tradition.

For me, being Jewish is a connection to the history, an often painful history, of the

Jewish people, but also being aware of the traditions, rich cultural heritage and historical

ties that I have to the people who came before me.

While I'm not religious myself, it's the educational emphasis of Judaism which let atheists like

Albert Einstein or Carl Sagan stay connected to their cultural identity, without giving

up their commitment to logic and reason.

Without comparing myself intellectually to anywhere near these two legends, it's this

type of understanding of Judaism I believe in, but I have no desire to push this on you

or anyone else.

Joining me to discuss belief, religion, and why Jews are funny is Rabbi David Wolpe of

Sinai Temple here in Los Angeles.

Rabbi Wolpe was named America's most influential rabbi by Newsweek Magazine and one of the

50 most influential Jews by the Jerusalem Post.

Essence of Murli 15-06-2017 - Duration: 5:09.

Om Shanti !

Today's Murli Date Is 15th June 2017

Essence: Sweet children, you Brahmins, the mouth-born progeny of Brahma,

must definitely follow shrimat in order to claim your full inheritance from the unlimited Father for 21 births.

Question: What preparations are you children making? What is your plan?

Answer: You are making preparations to go to the land of immortality.

Your plan is to change Bharat into heaven.

You are engaged in the service of changing Bharat into heaven with your mind, your bodies and your wealth.

You are the Father's complete helpers.

Your new kingdom is being established with the power of non-violence,

whereas human beings are making plans for destruction.

Song: Mother, o Mother! You are the Bestower of Life for all.

Essence for dharna: 1. Be true Brahmins and take care of this Rudra gyan yagya.

Just as corporeal Brahma becomes subtle, you have to make effort to become subtle in the same way.

2. In order to become happy for 21 births, promise the Father that you will remain pure for this one birth.

Leave the pyre of lust and sit on the pyre of knowledge. You must definitely follow shrimat.

Blessing: May you be constantly wealthy and make everyone content with your spiritual sympathy.

In today's world, there are many who have wealth (sampatti), but the greatest need is for the wealth of sympathy.

Whether someone is poor or rich, no one has sympathy today.

You have the wealth of sympathy and so,

even if you do not give others anything else, you can make everyone content with your sympathy.

In terms of the Godly family, your spiritual sympathy can fulfil all desires for the body, mind and wealth.

Slogan: Make courage your companion in every task and you will definitely be successful

To the sweetest, beloved, long-lost and now-found children, love, remembrance and good morning from the Mother, the Father, BapDada.

The spiritual Father says namaste to the spiritual children.

We spiritual children convey to spiritual Baapdada, our love our remembrance, our good morning & our namaste namaste

Om Shanti !
