Waching daily Jun 20 2017

Just under the wire, I wanted to do a spring edition of my Things That Make Me

Happy series. I think of this as a more conceptual kind of favorites video

because some of my choices are pretty general. But honestly, the things that you

don't have to go out and buy are sometimes just as happy-making as the

products that I really like. I might as well just get started, so here is another

list of things that make me happy! First up for this episode: Easter candy. The

best time of year for chocolate, in my opinion. Russell Stover milk chocolate

covered marshmallows and the Cadbury caramel eggs are some of my absolute

favorites. But for some reason the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup eggs taste so

much better to me than just normal Reese's peanut butter cups that you can

get all year long. I don't know why that is. Maybe because it's fresher and it can

only sit on the shelf for a limited amount of time before it becomes

outdated and it goes to clearance, which, clearance Easter candy is also something

that makes me really happy. After Easter is over, they mark it all down and it's

still just as delicious, so I just go and buy a whole bunch of it and then try to

make it last as long as I can. I know it's a silly thing, but I get so excited

for Easter time because, I just, the chocolate makes me really happy.

I don't even wait until Easter to eat it. I start eating it after Valentine's Day

when it appears in the stores magically and it's just the best thing. The next

thing on my list is long walks. It sounds so simple but after being

cooped up all winter long, trying to walk in the snow and people just don't shovel

their sidewalks in my neighborhood, it is so nice to go outside, sometimes without

a coat, and just enjoy the fresh air and I love it. There are nice things to look

at, I sometimes run into friends in my neighborhood and get to catch up, and it

makes me feel a lot better. If I feel like I've been cooped up all day and

just like sitting and working for hours, it's so nice to go out for a walk. It

inspires me to do work, so when I come home, I have like a ton of new ideas to

work on. It's something that I've found is really good for my mental health. I

love it. I love going for walks! The next thing that makes me happy is Julie's

Greenroom. This is Julie Andrews' Netflix original show and it

just is so cute! I was so excited when I heard that the show was going to happen

because it's like everything that I wanted in a show when I was a kid. I have

a one and a half year old. Getting to enjoy it with him, and I'm sure I'm going

to watch it again when he's a little bit older and can really understand all of the

concepts, but it's a show about theater and the arts! It's Julie Andrews teaching

a new generation of kids about musicals and it's so positive and sweet. There's a

really great special guest on every episode. I really needed this show right

now. It's just, it makes me really really happy and I highly recommend it if you

haven't watched it, especially if you're a theatre person. So the next item on my

list is Japanese stationery. Ever since I got into traveler's notebooks, I've been

looking online at all sorts of cute stickers and pens and I feel like I've

been gravitating the most towards things that come from Japan. I've been a little

bit overwhelmed with all of the options, so I haven't bought very much Japanese

stationery, but then Zenpop, which is a stationary subscription service located

in Japan, offered to send me a box of their stuff so I said yes. Knowing me, you

may be able to imagine the restraint and the patience that it required for me to

not open this until I got on camera, but I'm going to check it out now. Oh it's

really cute. There's actually a lot of stuff in here!

Stickers and a little memo pad, oh my goodness this is cute.

I don't know what it is about this stuff. It like, makes me really excited. Some

really adorable pencils. Oh my gosh, washitape with cats on it. Little sushi

stickers! Anyway, that gave me a really good place to start with my Japanese

stationery addiction, so thank you, Zenpop. I think I'm in trouble

because I'm going to go buy a whole bunch more now. The next thing is Roller

Coaster Tycoon Classic for the iPad. Mobile games are great, I really like

them, I play a whole lot of them, but any time I play any mobile game that's at

all theme park related, I keep thinking back to when I was in middle school and

I would play Rollercoaster Tycoon, the original version of it, and I kept

thinking, how do all these mobile games that have all this new technology at

their disposal, not coming even close to at least what I remembered of the

Rollercoaster Tycoon of my childhood? So the people who made Rollercoaster Tycoon

decided to re-release the original version of

Rollercoaster Tycoon but reformatted for the iPad. I was so excited when I found

this out. It really is just as good as I remember, I don't know if the children of

today would feel the same way, because I'm sure it's a nostalgia element. I

think it is so much fun to play. It's such a silly, fun game but it's a huge

game! It's massive! There are so many parks. It includes some of the original

expansion packs as well. If you ever played that game as a child, you have to

look it up. I cannot recommend it highly enough. And the last thing on my list of

things that make me happy for spring, is Instagram! Now, I've been on Instagram for

a long time. I really enjoy it. It's an extra creative outlet for me and I love

the idea that I can take a photo on my phone and then mess with it in a bunch

of different apps for a while, and then post it and share it with people

immediately and I just think that's really fun! Another thing that I love

about Instagram is that it is what you make it, so if you want to follow a ton

of artists that inspire you, all you have to do is open up Instagram and just

scroll through your feed and when I do that I get inspired, I get excited to

make things again. It sometimes can turn my whole mood around and just make my

day a little bit happier and that's kind of amazing. People are always quick to be

negative about social media and there are a lot of negative things about it.

But I find that Instagram is one you can use it in this specific way, to only

follow things that make you smile and that can be kind of powerful, you know?

I've also been posting more often on Instagram lately because it's been

making me so happy, so if you want to follow me on Instagram and see what I've

been posting, I've got a whole bunch of behind the scenes stuff for my channel

and my crafts and my shows that I perform at! Look me up on Instagram at

@laurenfairwx. Okay! So that's it for now. What kinds of things have been

making you happy lately? Tell me in a comment below and hopefully I'll have a

chance to reply if I can. I love chatting with all of you in the comments. If

Tiếng lóng về cơ thể - Duration: 8:13.

Hey, everyone.

I'm back in Vietnam.

Over in America it's so nice and cool.

Coming back here, I've been burning up from head to toe!

"Burning up from from head to toe."

"Head . . .

to toe."

I've got the topic for my next video!

Okay, in this video I'm going—

In this video I'm going to teach you about slang related to every part of the human body,

including the "sensitive" parts.

I'm not only going to introduce that vocabulary,

but tell you guys how often we use each of those words in everyday communication

and tell you how dirty they are, as well.

If you feel like this topic is too scandalous, please stop watching right now.

Okay, the cool kids are still watching,

so we're going to start our exploration of the human body at the most important part of all,

which is, of course, the . . .

head.

It's only got a couple of slang words: "noggin" and "dome."

Neither one is used very often.

"Noggin" is usually used with kids,

and "dome" usually appears in the phrase "chrome dome," which means a bald head.

Now we'll move on to the face.

The only slang word for it is "mug."

It's not a vulgar word, but it's usually used with a negative connotation.

And it shows up most often in the phrase "mug shot,"

which is the photo that the police take when they arrest someone.

Next we'll move down the body a bit and look at the arms.

If they belong to a man and have got a lot of muscle, they're often called "guns."

And the hand itself has got a couple of different words:

"paws" and "mitts."

As you may have guessed, those words aren't used in a positive way.

We usually use them when someone is touching our bodies or our stuff in a way . . .

that really irritates us.

Now let's move on to the belly.

The technical word for it is "stomach."

You guys probably know "stomach" as the organ inside you,

but it also means the part outside your skin.

And two slang words more common than "stomach" are "belly" and "tummy."

"Tummy" is usually used by mothers and children,

while "belly" is used by everyone.

And if that belly happens to be really fit and muscular,

it's often called "a six pack."

That phrase comes from this kind of package of beer,

which is also called "a six pack."

However, if you drink too much beer, you'll have a belly that looks like this,

which is called "a beer belly."

Or if that shape isn't the result of drinking beer, people would call it "a pot belly."

And this particular shape is usually called "a spare tire."

All right, moving on.

If your body has got some extra fat, it's probably not only on your belly,

but on your butt as well.

The technical term for that part is "buttocks,"

but no one uses that word.

The most common word for it is just "butt," or "bum" in the UK.

If you ask me, those two words aren't at all off-color. Kids and old people alike can use them.

Nevertheless, some people still feel they need to euphemize it,

so they'll say "rear,"

"behind,"

or "bottom."

And the second-most common word for the buttocks, well, you already know:

That word is vulgar, but . . . not really all that vulgar.

If you're speaking informally with other people your age,

I recommend that you use "ass," because they might find "butt" a little childish.

And a few more slang words that aren't really vulgar, and aren't used a whole lot, either,

are "booty," which is a curvy, beautiful butt,

along with:

But you guys should use "fanny" very carefully,

because it means "butt" in the US and Canada only,

and in other countries, a fanny is something very different . . .

the vagina. (In Vietnamese slang, they often call it "the butterfly.")

The technical word for it is "vagina,"

but just like "âm đạo" in Vietnamese, people usually use that word just in academic or scientific contexts.

The most common word for it is "pussy."

That word is . . .

not exactly vulgar, but not especially polite, either.

You should only use it with friends.

And a few very vulgar words for it are

"snatch," "twat," and the most vulgar of all . . .

The word "cunt" is also often used to curse a woman,

kind of like "bitch," but it's much stronger.

I suggest that you never use it. People will be really offended.

Okay, let's move on to another sensitive part of the female body,

the breasts.

The scientific word for them is "breasts,"

but the slang word "boobs" is much more common.

It's not vulgar. You can use it in any situation,

and be careful with your pronunciation.

My wife always says . . .

No.

And another word that's pretty vulgar, but still commonly used, is "tits."

It sort of carries a more sexual connotation than "boobs,"

so you shouldn't use it with people you don't know very well.

And a few more words that aren't especially vulgar, and are usually only used by men, are

Now let's look at the male body.

Only women actually have breasts,

but both sexes have got that special bit at the tip of the breast:

That's the only word for them. There's no slang.

And down in the nether regions of the male body is the part that has the most slang words of all:

Just like "vagina," the scientific word isn't used very much,

and the most common word is "dick."

That word can be a little bit vulgar,

so with kids people will often use the words "wiener," which means "sausage,"

"weenie," or "pee-pee."

And a word that's more vulgar than "dick," but nevertheless very common, is "cock."

It's not as truly offensive as the word "cunt,"

but it usually means a dick when it's . . .

Uh, when it's . . .

When it's . . .

ready to go to work.

So it's got a dirtier quality to it.

And the following are some slang words that aren't used very much,

but still enough that you guys should know them.

Ok, that's it. I hope you guys—

Shit, I forgot something really important!

Underneath the chili pepper (VN slang term), you've got those two balls.

In English, those are called "testicles" or "testes.

But those two words are almost never used in everyday communication.

The most common word for them is "balls,"

and the second-most common is "nuts."

And one more phrase that's not terribly common, but is still really funny, is "the family jewels."

Okay, I promise the next video won't be as dirty as this one.

There's one more thing!

This vide was supported by a lot of people on Patreon

and also by ELSA, the only mobile app that provides in-depth correction of your English pronunciation

in real time.

See? It tells you what to do to pronounce it correctly.

You guys can use ELSA to practice syllable stress, ending sounds, or those particularly difficult phonemes.

Also, since you're watching here, you can use ELSA with a seriously discounted price.

A discount?

What do I have to do, Dan?

First, search for "ELSA Speak" on Google Play or The App Store.

Download it and use it free for seven days.

After that, if you want to continue using it,

go to elsaspeak.com/danhauer

and follow the three steps there to pay with a price discounted from 10 to 80%.

Eighty percent?!

Wow, I'm going to buy it right now!

Got any more promotions, Dan?

If anyone wants to buy my chili (remember that VN slang term?) then get in touch.

The Case For Eating Bugs - Duration: 4:29.

Would you eat bugs if it meant helping to save the planet?

I'm Anna and this is Gross Science.

Let me start off by saying that, depending on where you live, the idea of eating insects

may not gross you out at all.

According to a 2013 United Nations report, insects are included in the traditional diets

of at least 2 billion people.

That said, most Westerners, especially in northern latitudes, don't tend to eat bugs—and

in fact, find it pretty disgusting.

So, why is that?

Well, no one knows for sure, but there are a bunch of ideas.

One is that it's simply easier to eat bugs in the tropics, because they tend to be larger,

there's a diversity of species available there all year round, and those bugs may have

predictable harvesting seasons.

Another idea is that traditional agriculture may have made eating insects less desirable.

Agriculture first began in the Fertile Crescent, and then spread to Europe.

And those regions already had large mammals that could be domesticated, so collecting

bugs for food may not have been as much of a priority.

And, as time went on, insects may have gone from being accepted as benign parts of the

environment to being seen as agricultural pests, and invaders in our homes.

Whatever the reason, the fact that most people in the US and Europe regard the idea of eating

bugs with disgust is mostly cultural.

After all, when you think about it, it is a bit strange that our mouths water for this

creature with an exoskeleton and pinching claws and not this one.

Now, you might be saying to yourself, "Who cares!

I still don't wanna have bugs for dinner!"

And to that I say, "Let me lay out the case for entomophagy—the practice of eating insects."

To begin with, insects are efficient at putting on weight.

In order to raise a cow to maturity, you need a lot of food.

But to rear the same amount of cricket meat takes 12 times less feed.

What insects eat is also more sustainable.

We need to devote a lot of agricultural land to traditional livestock—so we can grow

food for them, or so they can graze.

But many bugs can live off of waste products, like manure and compost.

That said, the risks to us of raising edible insects on organic waste are still being studied.

On top of that, livestock like cows are notorious for releasing tons of methane, which is a

potent greenhouse gas.

But very few insects produce methane at all.

Of course, none of that would matter if bugs were bad for you.

But it turns out that they can be a great source of proteins, healthy fats, and minerals,

depending on the species.

Clearly, there are lots of economic, environmental, and health reasons to eat insects—though

we'd have to figure out sustainable ways of harvesting lots of bugs if entomophagy

were to catch on more widely.

But that's not gonna happen if people don't like how they taste.

So, how do bugs taste?

Well, people say crickets taste nutty, scorpions taste like shrimp, and the grubs of the palm

weevil taste sweet when they're raw or like calamari when they're cooked.

And I can tell you that everything I ate today was pretty good, except for those grasshopper

tacos, which were really not great.

But I think that was just probably because I cooked them poorly.

I don't blame the grasshoppers.

I'm gonna put links in the description to all the recipes I used today, and you can

try them out yourself.

I especially recommend the scorpion curry.

And if you do try bugs, let me know what you think, and how you prepared them!

Take a photo of your creations and tag me on Instagram!

I'd love to see what you cook up.

Ew.

By the way, there's one more reason to eat insects—as pest control!

Palm Weevil grubs (the ones that taste sweet or like calamari) are becoming a big problem

in places like southern California.

My friends over at Deep Look actually made a whole video about these guys.

So head over to their channel to see how weevils could harm the iconic palm trees of Hollywood.

And if you like Gross Science, hit subscribe!

That is not delicious.

The Thinkquisition is Here - Duration: 6:52.

So Last Friday, the progressive website Mother Jones included me in an article about a quote

"new extremist media industry that is further to the right than Breitbart."

In the piece, the author referred to me as "far right", citing interviews I've done with

Mike Cernovich, Milo Yiannopoulos and Lauren Southern to back up his accusation.

He cherry picked these guests to fit his narrative, yet somehow missing the endless amount of

liberals I've had on and the progressives I've hosted, including Margaret Cho, Hillary

Rosen, Mark Duplass, John Fugelsang and Michael Ian Black.

The article also attacked Patreon, the crowdfunding platform of which myself and my team's livelihood

depends on, for being tolerant of people with far right views such as mine, though of course,

nowhere did it include any of my purported "far right" views.

Earlier in the week, Forbes called The Rubin Report a "conservative talk show", but immediately

retracted the statement when I contacted them.

Ironically, I've been saying for awhile defending my liberal beliefs is becoming a conservative

position.

Although I don't think being called a conservative is somehow bad, it clearly isn't a proper

descriptor for this show in which I've hosted people from across the political divide.

For Mother Jones to accuse me of being an extremist, further to the right of Breitbart,

is obviously an inflammatory and demonstrably dishonest statement.

I've been around many people who over the last few years have been unfairly maligned,

and I'm all to familiar with how this all goes.

Whether it's Sam Harris, Jordan Petersen, Colin Moriarty or Brett Weinstein -- each

attack is virtually never based on what these people have said, but are instead crafted

out of straw man arguments with the words racist and bigot tossed around like candy.

Suddenly, the onus is on people who aren't racists or bigots to disprove this accusation,

usually slung by a misguided celebrity, or a malicious newspaper or website.

The move, then, is on the accused -- should they spend time and energy defending themselves

from accusations which aren't true, only to bring more attention to the accusations themselves?

Or should they ignore ignore them, hoping the false claims will go away over time.

I think there are solid arguments to be made for either tactic, and it truly depends on

the situation at hand and the person involved.

In this case, though, I went on the attack.

I decided this case was too egregious to ignore, contacting the article's author via Twitter,

screenshotting pieces of his article and asking him to defend them.

Of course, he couldn't defend his own words...that's the thing with truth, it's hard to work around...and

eventually he made slight changes to the article, like including a tweet of mine in which I

defended myself from his claims, and he removing the word "far" in front of the word "right"

before referencing me in the article.

Putting aside the specifics of this article itself, I was happy to get a strong defense

in public from many friends all over the political map.

People like Joe Rogan, Colin Moriarty, Faisal Saeed al Mutar, Bret Weinstein, Eric Weinstein,

Michael Shermer, Peter Boghossian and many others offered strong defenses of me, just

as I've offered for others when I've seen them unfairly attacked.

I even got a public defense from Donald Trump Jr.

Putting my friends and public allies aside though, it's incredibly inspiring and humbling

to see literally 10's of thousands of people offer their voice when they feel you've been

unjustly attacked.

And that's the key to this whole thing.

It's not me, or Sam, or Jordan or Bret that they fear, what they really fear is that all

of you will starting saying what you think ... because There's strength in numbers.

By Monday, I wanted to put the whole story behind me.

My dog has a health emergency, which helped put everything in perspective, but I admit,

I did get sucked back into the attack very briefly.

Over the course of a Twitter exchange, I got the writer of the piece, Josh Harkinson, to

publicly admit I am NOT further right than Breitbart, though of course, he didn't change

the title or have Mother Jones issue any sort of public correction.

One other interesting piece to all this, is that the writer, John Harkinson, is one of

the 40 people that James Hodgkinson, the shooter of the Republican baseball team last week,

followed on Twitter.

Now I can't draw a direct link there, but we know that Hodgkinson was a far lefty who

obviously was driven to political extremes.

So, when this very same writer does a hatchet job on me calling me further right than Breitbart,

which is clearly code for racist, I cannot sit back there and take it.

This is exactly why I've been saying you can't punch Nazi's.

Call everyone you oppose a Nazi and a racist and then eventually you will see violence

as the next logical step.

It's not a crazy exercise to think that this is partially what drove James Hodgkinson.

In hindsight his attack on me was the next obvious step in where this whole collectivist

movement is going.

I've talked for a long time about how if you can't debate ideas, you use lies and buzzwords.

Having it turned on me shouldn't have been a surprise, especially from a Leftist site

like Mother Jones, yet it still did surprise me somehow.

Make no mistake, there is a Thinkquisition going on here, and it can come for anyone

at any time.

If you ally yourself with people who value the movement, in this case a political one,

over you as an individual, then eventually it is inevitable that they will come for you.

And if they don't come for you, you're probably the one coming for them.

This Thinkquisition will come after anyone who bucks the trend and the stereotypes and

dares think for themselves.

It's why they come accuse Ayaan Hirsi Ali of being anti muslim, it's why they slander

Bill Maher as a being racist, it's why they call Larry Elder an uncle tom, and it's why

I can be branded a far right extremist.

Those who are a part of this Thinkquisition fear you thinking for yourself, that you won't

bow to their collectivist demands, more than anything else.

The way to beat this witch hunt is to be yourself, and fight for what you believe.

You are the antidote they fear most.

I hope that next time you see me fighting back and getting some cover from my allies,

it will inspire you to fight back... specifically with words, not violence... as well.

Joining me on the show this week is one of my aforementioned allies and friends, author

and professor Peter Boghossian, who will help me dissect the madness of 2017 and much more.

The palm trees..

are mentioned in Qur'an, more than any other tree..

they are strong and firmly established..

but, delicate and generous..

they are satisfied with the least that is given to them..

and they gives munificently.

The palm tree lives in the most harsh environments

However, its root is firmly fixed and its branches are high in the sky!

"It is the work of Allah, who perfected all things."

First of all, about palm trees.. /Dr. Jamil Al-Lahham, Professor of Botany, Yarmouk University, Jordan

they are categorized as monocotyledon plants

The height of this tree may reach up to 30 meter..

How is it fixed in soil?

Subhan Allah, Almighty, the stem of the palm tree is flexible..

and it bends with winds, and doesn't fall down!../ Nasser Al-Aboudi, palm growing expert, Kuwait

as if it is made with joints like the back bones of man!

and it is firmly fixed in soil..

and to make a tree, that is 30 meter tall, stand steady.. this requires a tremendous amount of strength

for this reason, fibers make a major part of the stem of palm trees..

These fibers help the tree to stand up..

and to bend with flexibility without breaking..

"And lofty[Basiqat] palm trees having fruit arranged in layers"

[Basiqat]; means that they are tall.. very tall

and this gives it balance..

and without this balance, the palm tree would have fallen down under the effect of the strong winds of deserts!

Allah has granted the palm tree with many characteristics..

that would help it to get acclimated with the hard environment!

There are more than 200 species of palm trees around the world

The palm tree is the only one that grows small palm plants [shoots] at the lower side of its stem

other species, are canary palm..

and coconut palm..

Oil palm..

Sugar palm

Our beloved, Abu Farag, I'm honored to be with you.. Welcome..

Jazak Allah Khair

and here among the trees that you love.. the palm trees..

may Allah bless us all.. Ameen, Abu Salim.

When did you begin this work with Palm trees?

our farms are here at Al-Abdali.. from the end of sixties and the beginning of seventies..

and the strong love relation with palms began 16 years ago.. / Ayed al-Jassar, palm growing expert, Kuwait

Ma'sha'Allah. you've loved them..

Yes, I do love them, and when you love palm trees, you can not leave them

About the composition of the stem of the palm tree..

it is unlike many trees.. it contains many closed bundles of vessels..

they are blocked by fibers from outside!

Subhan Allah, the roots of the palm tree are unique!

it is capable of absorbing water and filtering it at the same time..

by a Flynn layer in between the roots

Subhan Allah, it filters the water.. the salty water or the polluted water..

What is so unique about this tree?

Imagine what it is giving from this dry sandy land..

fruits.. and the temperature under the sun is up to 60° C to 70° C.. and the water is salty too!

and after all this dryness it gives wet dates!

We give it salty water and it gives us sweet dates

Something important about the roots of palm trees is that, when they come to an obstacle while growing, they change the direction of growth..

Subhan Allah, so, they do not break walls or damage constructions, as of sewage or buildings..

these roots are peaceful and sensitive, they move away from what comes on their way of growth!

The palm tree starts growing..

only when it is hot and sunny!

it needs heat.. and humidity..

they say; its feet is in water and its head is under the sun!

Correct..

The palm tree is like a small girl, you comb its hair.. bath it.. and take care of it!

There are about 10,000 flower on one stalk, from the flowering stalks on a palm tree

and they are..[ Mandood]..

i.e. they are clustered.. on top of each other..

as is the verse of Surat Qaf..

"And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers"

branching of the palm tree produces branches that are to bears flowers..

each branch have 80 to 90 divisions..

they hang down as ropes..

each division carries 40 to 45 date fruit..

So, each branch gives 2400 to 3000 date..

Imagine, if the tree have 10 fruiting branches..

it will give 24000 date!!

This is from one tree!

it produces 24,000 date!

The fruiting branch they call it [Aithg]..

and the divisions that carry the dates are called [Shamroogh]

they have cut some of these, prematurely.. a process they call it, as reducing weight.. or burden..

Now, they do this because they want to increase the size of the date..

and by cutting some of these, they reduce the load from the tree.. of producing a big amount of dates..

and so, it will produce fruits that are bigger in size!

To fertilize the female branches bearing flowers we can use male [Shamarregh], divisions that carry pollen..

or by using the pollen itself as powder..

or by the new method, using water..

where we mix 1 gm. of pollen powder with 1 liter of water..

Methods of reproducing palm trees are three; by planting seeds[Fosum].. or planting offshoots[Fasail].. or Tissue Culture-Derived date palm trees

First method is by planting seeds.. [Fosum]

most simple farmers do this method..

and it helped that palm trees are now planted all over the world..

The second method is by planting small trees..

they are obtained from the mother tree.. side shoots..

this will give a plant that is similar to the mother plant!

It is known that the side shoots resemble the original plant.. exactly!

Birhi kind give Birhi.. Ikhlas gives Ikhlas only..

The side shoot is like this one.. you separate it from the mother tree, this process is called; weaning!

because it is attached to the big tree and getting nourishment from it as a baby connected with an umbilical cord to his mother

And the third method is by planting tissue culture- derived date palm trees

this helped the world wide spreading of excellent species of date palm trees!

Of course, it is a laboratory work..

by Doctors, not by farmers..

they take the whole plant or its baby shoot..

then they isolate the inner part of it..

and at the laboratory, they multiply it by tissue culture to obtain 3000 to 4000 small trees!

But, this plant will begin to produce dates after 4 years..

some of them begin to produce after 3 years..

according to the care and knowledge..

Today, palm trees became..

very needy.. today, by Allah, we feed them better than we feed our children..

very strange..

I hope that you don't love them..

Yes..

we are nourishing them with things.. better than we do with our kids..

we take care of the soil..

not to have Calcium deficiency!!

have we ever given our children Calcium?! I never remember giving Calcium to my kids

Now I'm giving the palm trees Calcium!

we even give them chemical element Boron!

Iron.. we've learned about vitamins from the palm tree!

'Fasero..'

'If it wasn't because of Allah, it wouldn't have occurred..'

'Fasero..'

Allah, Almighty, has presented an example in Qur'an that is about a palm tree..

Allah, Almighty, says:

"Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky?"

Allah, Almighty has mentioned palm trees in Qur'an at more than 20 places!

And He, Almighty, has always preferred palm trees over many other plants.. and fruits!

Looking at its leaves.. we will notice that they have features for adaptation..

that would help the palm tree to live in a very hot climate..

feather shaped leaves allow air to pass in between them..

with water inside, the air will cool the leaves..

The rate of growth of the palm tree..

is faster than other plants..

for that reason, the leaves harden so quickly..

this will protect the plant from herbivorous animals

The distance between this tree and the next one is 8 meter.. and between this and that is 8 meters..

because, as you see. they began to touch one another from top..

Does this has an effect?

Of course, you need to give them space, also for the roots..

this is a rare species, called Sultana

this kind of tree.. a rare one..

If you see a palm tree, can you tell what kind is it?

Yes, but some types you can't tell the difference between them!

some are highly similar, but others are very distinct!

Palm trees produce the best fruit!

the dates..

Dates are very fast to digest..

very fast to absorb.. and very high in sugar content..

For that reason, the prophet, SAW, was breaking his fast with some dates!

The prophet, SAW, said:

'When you are to break your fast, eat dates'

palm trees are present..

But, people change in their preferences..

For example, every 100 years, people change and the choices change!

they prefer to have new kinds of dates..

a hundred years ago, people used to eat Al-Resais..

It was of moderate quality, not perfect!

But now, people eat, Ikhlas and Nabot Saif palm dates.. Birhi.. Sukari..

Sometimes, you choose a name for your palm tree..

Suppose, you planted a seed and it produced a different palm tree..

something new..

if it became famous, people will give it your name..

Have you named any?

Yes, I have Jassar!

And there is, Nabot Saif.. it is of a man, his name is Bin SAif

people called it so after his name.

Of course, you name the good stuff only..

if it is not good no need for the name, no one will like it.. no one will eat it!

The dates that are registered at Iraq are 600 brands..

At Saudi Arabia, they are more than 400 types..

At Morocco, may be 200 types.. every country has its types.. and they are specific for that country!

Some palm trees are successful when they are planted, I mean, their products are excellent..

and they are successful in different regions..

But, some palm trees are only successful in their regions.

For example, Al-Sukari palm trees are successful at Qassim region

as a product!

it is unsuccessful at Al-Ahsa region..

Ikhlas palm trees are successful all over the world!

They say that at Saudi Arabia, they have palm trees, that only one tree can produce one Ton of dates!

it is Birhi palm.. only one tree..

produces one Ton of dates!

At the beginning of month 8..

If you want dry dates..

you water the tree once per week..

and if you want wet dates.. you water the tree every other day.

Dates reduce the incidence of stroke and brain hemorrhage by 21% because it is rich in potassium.

Dates contain two types of sugar..

The glucose and the sucrose..

The glucose is the sugar that is in fruits..

the sucrose is not easy to digest..

so it is not commended for diabetic patients

some dates have lesser amount of sucrose.. for example; Ikhlas and Birhi

In addition to all that, palm trees need water..

you must take good care of them..

we give the palm trees in our farm, about 800 liter of water..

each day? No every two days..

300 liter per day for each one.. Imagine if you have 1000 tree!

how much water would you need?

It is a problem.. if you don't love palm trees, don't have them!

You must love it.. adore it!

You must love it dearly to be able to serve it with your heart!

and the more you are generous to it..

it will give you more!

What you are doing is great.. if you just think about the dates that break the fast of fasting people..

and the birds that you are feeding them.. Subhan Allah, may be Allah is helping us for their sake!

While talking about palm trees..

I remembered the Hadith of the prophet, SAW..

he said: 'The believer is like a green tree..

that its leaves do not fall and it is never bare from leaves.'

then He, SAW, said: 'It is the palm tree.'

So, the palm tree is steady..

it can stand dryness and disturbed climate..

and this is how the believer, he is steady with his belief..

he stands the seditions..

hardships..

and ordeals

'Before it's the right time..'

'nothing was there..'

'there was no time.. no place!'

'Allah just said to the universe; Be.. and it is!'

'Life will be beautiful..'

'If we just have reflected upon the signs given from Al-Ilah..'

'beautify your vision by.. looking at all that is made by His Hands..

'Fasero..'

'you will see how Allah has created it..

Fasero

'There is no a fault to be found..'

Tips and tricks: How to create armor-plugs for turret - Duration: 4:12.

Greetings to all on the channel Scale Journal!

This video from the series "Tips and Tricks", and I want to show you how I make armor-plugs.

The idea of such a method I found online, slightly changing the process.

A link to the original article I will leave the description of the video.

What do we need for creation?

The article proposes to use a Dremel. I tried, but it is not convenient and not very safe because of the high revs.

Instead of a Dremel, I decided to use a electric screwdriver.

I think it's more interesting and more secure option, because the revs much lower. Due to this control of the process much easier.

By the way about safety. If you try to repeat what I will show you today, don't forget about safety and be very careful.

Also, we need a sharp model knife with different blades. In my case, the blades 11 and 12.

And you will need needle files, sandpaper or as in my case Sanding Block from Wilder c different graininess.

And of course a piece of sprue. You can take anyone, but it is better to choose the right thickness to less processing.

And now on to the process.

The first thing you have to hold down a piece of sprue in collet clamp.

Press starting button of the screwdriver to process the sprue with a knife blade.

For convenience, you can use blades of different shapes.

Turns out mini-turning lathe .

Do everything carefully to avoid damage to fingers.

After carved the basic shape, you need to make the groove which is characteristic of such armor-plugs.

Then mark cutting line and take out the sprue from the electric screwdriver.

Followed by hand treatment. Need to do rounding on one side.

Which is then further treated with sandpaper, needle files or sanding block.

After all the work we receive such result.

It only remains to make the chain or take ready made from PE and it can be hung on the turret.

Thank you for watching my video. Also I recommend to watch these videos.
