Today in Military History: 6/20 - US/Soviet Hotline established - Duration: 1:19.

Today in military history, 1963.

America and the Soviet Union agree to create

a direct hotline connecting the Soviet premier

and the American president.

By 1963, both Americans and Russians feared the Cold War

could go hot at any moment.

The two nations obviously backed opposite sides

in the Vietnam War.

The 1961 Checkpoint Charlie incident in Berlin

almost turned into a tank battle for the city.

And the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis

nearly triggered a nuclear war.

So in 1963, the country signed a memorandum

of understanding that established a hotline for direct

communication between the two powers,

mitigating the risk of an accidental provocation.

Despite pop culture depiction of the hotline as a red

telephone, messages were sent via a text-only teletype

machine as verbal communication could be misinterpreted.

The system was upgraded to satellite communication in 1971,

fax in 1983, and finally email

via a dedicated computer network in 2008.

Leave a comment or send us a message via teletype machine,

fax, or email.

Printful - Mockup & Print File Generator Tutorial - Duration: 2:59.

Let's look at the basic features of our mockup and print file generator.

We've made this tool available for you to make the creation of both the mockup images

as well the formatted print files an easier process.

The mockups you create serve two purposes - you can use them as a product photo on your

store and they're also extremely useful to our fulfillment team as a reference when

submitted together with a print file, because they can clearly see how you want the product

to be printed.

Our generator also allows you to create well formatted print files that match our printing

guidelines.

This makes adding new products and manual order submission easier for you.

Meaning that you can save an already correctly sized and positioned print files to your Printful

library or computer.

So, let's go thorugh all the features of the generator.

Now, here you have a selection of all our products.

So, We'll create a mockup for a t-shirt - choose the model we want.

Now you can add a design to the front and the back of the garment.

When you select "choose" under the front print, you can upload your design, rescale

and reposition it.

Down here you can see the resolution for your uploaded design and note that, when you enlarge

your image, you can see, the quality information changes along.

It also warns you when the resolution for your uploaded image is too small and making

it bigger would degrade its quality resulting in a blurry or pixelated print.

In this case, you should consider uploading a larger image so that your design is printed

in the best quality.

And also, you can add multiple elements for the same garment and create your design right

here in our generator.

Then choose all the colors you want to create print files and mockups for and once you're

satisfied with your selections, hit "generate" .

And here you can edit your selections - remove colors or choose to only generate mockup files

or print files.

Also here you can change the file name - We'll change it to Printful mockup.

Note that you can add the design name as the first half of the file name.

The second half will automatically generate with the type of the mockup, for example "Wrinkle

front" for a front mockup of a t-shirt and it's color.

Once that's done, select "generate files", wait a while for it to load and now you can

choose to save them as a ZIP folder or, if you're logged in your Printful account,

save them to your print file library.

If you've saved the print file to your Printful library, now, when adding new products or

creating a manual order, it will appear here and you won't have to manually reposition

or resize it.

And that's the basics of our mockup and print file generator.

Now you can also explore the other products and their options.

You can find guidelines for formatting your designs prior to upload, check them out under

each of the products on our "products&pricing" page, there's a link to them in the description

below.

Hey, everybody! It's Wes from Printful! Thank you so much for checking out

our video! I hope you found it very helpful!

Click on this link right here and you can go check out our mockup generator

if you haven't already done so. And don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel

What Studying Earth Can Tell Us About Life on Mars - Duration: 5:31.

Mars is a pretty astounding planet, and our missions to Mars have been making fascinating

and ground-breaking discoveries for decades now.

But some of the coolest Mars research isn't actually conducted on Mars.

It's done here on Earth, in environments that are a lot like Mars, either as it is

now, or as it was billions of years ago.

They're called terrestrial analogues.

And the research done in these environments has changed the way we think about life on

Earth, Mars, and rocky planets in general.

There are a couple main reasons to study terrestrial analogues for Mars.

One is that it's a practical approach to space research.

It's difficult and expensive to get to Mars, and we're already here on Earth for free.

And we have way too many questions about Mars to be able to answer all of them with just

the tools we have over there.

So doing Mars-related research on Earth lets us learn more about both Mars and Earth than

we would if we only did our Mars research on Mars.

Another reason is that the best way to solve some Martian mysteries

is to compare Mars to Earth.

One of the biggest questions when it comes to Mars is whether it ever harbored life.

And looking for life in places on Earth that resemble Mars can give us a better idea of

what kinds of adaptations life might have developed to survive on Mars,

if it ever did evolve there.

Knowing more about where life can theoretically survive could also help us figure out where

to look for signs of life on Mars.

So, some of the best analogues for Mars here on Earth are useful not just because of the

insight they give us into Mars as a planet, but because of the insight they give us into

Mars as a potentially habitable planet.

Like the Naica mines in Mexico, for instance.

The Naica mines and caves are probably similar to underground environments on Mars, which

we know exist, but haven't been able to explore because it's super dangerous to

send a rover underground on another planet.

The caves at Naica are probably especially similar to what it would have looked like

underground on early Mars, when the planet was much wetter and warmer.

Like most mines, the Naica mines are deep underground, but unlike most mines, they're

ridiculously hot and humid.

Like, lethally hot and humid.

Researchers have to take tons of precautions, including wearing special "ice suits"

with oxygen supplies, to make sure they don't die.

The mines also happen to be incredibly beautiful, home to huge caverns containing massive gypsum

crystals that dwarf elephants, let alone people.

And from experiments started around 2009, researchers discovered something incredible:

there were dormant microbes in fluid inclusions in the crystals, basically tiny little pockets

of water that form in a crystal as it grows.

And the researchers were able to revive them!

That tells us two things: first, that if life ever evolved on Mars, it might have been able

to survive in similar cave environments; and second, that those are really good places

to check for signs of life, past or present.

This strategy of surviving in rock is really weird, but super useful.

And a similar strategy has been taken up by the microbes living in another place on Earth

that's a great analogue for Mars: the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica.

The Dry Valleys are basically the opposite of the Naica mines: they're super cold deserts,

and they're a lot like the dry, freezing lowlands of the Martian north pole.

Researchers working on projects for places like NASA use the Dry Valleys as a place to

test equipment destined for Mars, and astrobiologists use them

to explore Mars's potential for habitability.

Because even though the Dry Valleys are really cold and dry, scientists have discovered a

few forms of life that manage to live there.

And some of them have adopted a similar strategy to the life in Naica,

despite the huge difference between their habitats.

There are endolithic phototrophs in some of the rocks at the Dry Valleys.

Endolithic means "inside rock," and phototrophs use photosynthesis.

And that's what these organisms do: they live inside rock, but they still use photosynthesis.

The rocks containing the endoliths are mostly sandstone,

which can transmit some light through it.

So the microbes inside the rock are still able to photosynthesize even though they're

not directly exposed to sunlight, and they get a nice little rocky home to protect them

from the harsh Antarctic desert.

Both Naica and the Dry Valleys host life that has taken an approach to survival

that could be outstanding on Mars.

Since Mars doesn't have much of an atmosphere and has no magnetic field, its surface is

constantly bombarded by UV light.

If potential life on Mars lived inside rock or underground, that might be enough shielding

from radiation for them to have survived for a good while during Mars's early history.

And the neat thing about these strategies, especially the endolithic strategy, is that

it can work anywhere you have the right kind of rock.

This could work just as well at Mars's north pole as it could in its southern highlands,

as long as the rock is transparent enough.

So, these discoveries have given us a window into Mars,

and we didn't even have to leave Earth!

As we continue to explore beyond our solar system and find rocky exoplanets, this research

becomes even more important.

It helps us define what it means to be habitable for all planets, not just our own.

And a bunch of little underground microbes just gave me an existential crisis.

NASA About To Confirm They Have Discovered Alien Life Or Just Mo - Duration: 4:56.

NASA About To Confirm They Have Discovered Alien Life?

Or Just More Lies And Waffle?

NASA is apparently primed to reveal its latest set of major discoveries on Monday after scanning

planets outside our solar system for life.

But many do believe that this could also be yet just more drip feeding of disclosure

and no real confirmation of anything Are NASA playing games with us and the TRUTH?

Many people worldwide are now on the edge of their seats amid hopes the new find could

shed light on the search for aliens.

Although we are used to disappointment from NASA and being given information which does

not really confirm anything.

NASA has been questing to find the first traces of life to prove man is not alone in the universe.

Just recently we reported on NASAs latest find of a solar system similar to ours, where

there could be the potential for life

The discoveries will come from the team at the Kepler space telescope which looks for

habitable worlds outside the Solar System.

The telescope searches for Earth-sized planets in the habitable zones of nearby stars

and has found thousands of planets which could harbour life.

Speculation is mounting about the announcement by NASA which is set for 3pm on Monday,

June 19.

As mentioned in our previous article above, last year, NASA announced the incredible find

of nine planets orbiting the star TRAPPIST-1.

Three of the planets were believed to be in the stars habitable zone and capable of

harbouring life.

Scientists are launching a new satellite the James Webb Telescopes to study seven of

the new worlds!

But yet again NASA has not mentioned anything about Alien Beings potentially living on any

of these planets and gave excuses as to why that may not be possible (as always!).

A spokesman for NASA said:

The latest Kepler catalog of planet candidates was created using the most sophisticated analyses

yet, yielding the most complete and reliable accounting of distant worlds to date.

This survey will enable new lines of research in exoplanet study, which looks at planets

outside our solar system.

U.I.P SUMMARY

This is not the first and definitely not the last NASA announcement about their search

for habitable planets, but one thing is for sure, these announcements appear to be happening

more frequently The drip feeding of disclosure is intensifying it appears?!

NASA know very well that we are NOT alone in the universe and are also aware that we

are being visited by numerous different ET races.

Why do they not just tell us this then if thats that case, I hear you shout?!

Well, it appears that the Elite are scared of people like you and I knowing that there

are advanced beings visiting us, as they know the kind of opportunities that will arise

once the human race has accepted their existence the Elites false borders and war mongering

will be obliterated very very quickly!

The chances of NASA announcing on Monday is incredibly slim, but please ensure that you

listen to their every word, as some where in-between the lines is the TRUTH about what

they really know!!!

Please check out below a couple of our recent articles on why the Elite do not want us to

know the truth about the ETs and also an article on Tabbys star which is thought

to have a huge Alien megastructure around it.

Interesting times people.

50 CURIOUS FACTS ABOUT THE LOVABLE LONG-NECKED FUNKY TONGUED CAMEL LEOPARD - Duration: 6:52.

Hi, Clover here.

Welcome back.

Today I'm going to share 50 of the curious facts I know about the lovable long necked,

funky tongued camel leopard.

Have you ever heard of a camel leopard?

Probably not but its just another name for a giraffe.

World Giraffe day is coming up I want to share how curious this native of Africa really is.

The giraffe isn't just curious though, its very important.

In one African town, giraffe's are so well-respected that humans have modified the environment

to suit the giraffe.

They ensure that any overhead power lines sit at least 39 feet above the ground to permit

safe passage of giraffes throughout the region.

Now that's respect.

As you know, giraffes are the tallest animal in the world with males growing up to 18 feet

or as tall as three men stacked on top of each other.

Maybe that's why a group of giraffes is called a tower.

Even weirder than being that tall, their legs alone can measure 6 feet long – that's

one of those stacked men right there!

Their neck measures another 6 feet or the man at the top of the tower and that third

man stacked in the middle is the body and head of a giraffe.

Cool costume if three men are looking for something to wear and have good balance but

its not a very convenient way to be built all the time.

All that height is the reason giraffes can and often do go longer without water than

a camel – drinking only once every few days.

Actually there are two reasons they wait so long to get a drink.

First they get most of the fluids they need from the plants they eat.

Second, is that they are so tall that its hard to get their head all the way down to

water level.

Remember, the legs and body are almost 12 feet between them and the neck is only 6 feet

So to get drink a giraffe either has to awkwardly spread its front legs to lower its body or

it needs to kneel on the ground so its neck can reach the water.

When it does finally manage to get a drink, it will often take in ten gallons of water

so I guess the inconvenience doesn't slow them down too much.

The giraffe's have another adaptation related to drinking you should now about.

They have a series of one way valves in their jugular vein that prevent excess blood from

flowing down to their brain when they lower their head to gulp all that water.

Giraffes height isn't the only thing supersized part of these unusual creatures.

The Giraffe's feet are about 12 inches around – that's the size of your dinner plate.

Imagine walking along with dinner plate sized feet on the bottoms of your legs.

Its tail can be 8 feet long and holds the honor of being the longest tail of all land

mammals.

Its blue-black tongue grows up to 21 inches in length about as long as a human baby.

On a side note, its blue-black color to help keep it from getting sunburned as the giraffe

uses it to strip leaves from tasty branches and they do that a lot.

The average giraffe eats about 75 pounds of food in a day and with the tongue being the

primary means of grabbing that tasty grub it can be exposed to the hot African sun between

16 and 20 hours each and every day.

With all that eating, giraffe's don't get much sleep – only about 5 to 30 minutes

each day.

Let me tell you as a cat who loves to cat nap my day away I find that fact pretty sad.

We're still not done with the supersized giraffe parts yet.

Remember that long neck?

You would think it had tons of vertebrae compared to a human right?

It doesn't, it only has 7 – that's exactly the same as a human.

What is amazing though is that each of those vertebrae measure about 10 inches long – about

the length of an adult mans foot.

A giraffe's heart is about 24 inches and weighs about 25 pounds – that's probably

bigger than the average Thanksgiving turkey.

Beyond all that, the lungs of a giraffe can hold 12 gallons – yes I said twelve gallons

of air!

Finally, rounding out these super sized creatures oddities is the intestine.

The average giraffe has 230 feet worth packed inside that 6 foot body.

That means if you stretched a giraffe's intestines you could go the whole way around

the perimeter of an average tennis court and still have some to spare.

All those supersized parts come with some amazing weight.

The male giraffe can weight up to 4,250 pounds while the female can reach around 2,600.

Of that, about 600 pounds is packed into that long neck.

Even the baby giraffe is hefty standing about 6 feet tall at birth, they can weight 150

pounds.

Ask your mom how she would feel being pregnant for between 400 and 460 days then getting

a 150 pound bundle of joy.

These huge babies come with a payoff though – little maintenance.

An infant giraffe can stand up and walk about an hour after birth and within a week it will

start to eat whatever vegetation it can reach.

Maybe that's why calves can grows up to an inch a day – they are in a hurry to get

tall enough to reach the tastiest leaves on the top of the tree huh?

Giraffe's are social creatures, with a typical giraffe herd reaching 12 to 15 members.

You might see more giraffe's than that in the same area since they are not territorial

creatures – or at least they are not territorial with other giraffes.

If a predator comes along, the herd might run away.

With those long legs, they can reach speeds as high as 35 miles an hour over short distances

and maintain 10 miles per hour over long periods.

If running doesn't work, those 12 inch hooves can cause a lot of damage – even killing

a full sized lion if they have too.

Speaking of locomotion, a giraffe runs different than it walks.

When a giraffe runs, it swings its rear legs and front legs in unison like lots of other

four legged creatures but when it walks, it moves both legs on one side of the body then

moves the legs on the other side making them look rather curious when they go out for a

stroll.

While you might catch sight of both kinds of giraffe locomotion, there are three thing

you'll probably never see is a giraffe doing.

A giraffe doesn't yawn and as far as I know it's the only vertebrate that can't.

A giraffe doesn't swim either, I get that part.

Another thing you might never see is a giraffe making noise.

Its not that they can't but that they seem to choose not to.

Giraffe's can make a variety of sounds including moos, hisses, snorts and grunts but they simply

don't.

Some scientists think they do communicate just at a level below human hearing.

Either way, giraffe's are pretty quite critters.

So now you know the most important facts about the esteemed relative of the Okapi.

If you ever get the chance, check one out for yourself.

When you do, look at their spots.

A giraffe's spots are like human fingerprints – no two are ever exactly the same so take

a picture and then come back in 25 – 40 years and see if you can recognize your giraffe

buddy by its spots.

Don't forget to click subscribe because I'll be back tomorrow with something new

and curious to share.

In the meantime, if you know something curious, tell me about it.

Maybe I can put it into a video.

Q&A: Academic Exploration Program (AEP) - Duration: 8:52.

SARAH: Hi everybody, and welcome to Bradley's Facebook Live.

My name is Sarah, and this is our Facebook Live

for the Academic Exploration Program.

You might hear us call it the AEP program,

and it basically is a program for undecided majors.

So just to start us off, like I said, my name is Sarah.

I am now a Theater and Advertising double

major from Chicago.

I'm a senior, and I started in the AEP program.

BRANDON: Hi, my name is Brandon.

I am a junior Criminal Justice major

with a minor in Business Management and Leadership.

And I'm from Rock Island, Illinois,

and I came in to the Academic Exploration

Program, AEP, my freshman year first semester.

SARAH: So what was your favorite thing about the program?

Or can you go into a little explanation

about what it entails?

BRANDON: Yes.

So I came to college, I wasn't exactly sure

which major I wanted.

I was between Business and Criminal Justice.

And via part of the AEP program really

helped me to just take some time to learn about

what college entailed, and how a different major would

affect my college experience.

And I remember, specifically back in that semester,

we did two projects where we picked a topic

in one career field.

So for criminal justice I picked a law enforcement agent,

presented on that.

And then picked, if I remember correctly, a business,

like a financial advisor and presented on that to the class.

And it-- really what that did was

made you research about the major

and see if that's something you'd

like to do after you graduate.

SARAH: And that's basically the only assignment in the class

because what the AEP program does is, literally, a class

you take, pass/fail, and it meets twice a week

for six weeks.

Its very limited.

And you just take a bunch of tests,

skill-level test, personality test, interest test,

the Myer-Briggs Test-- some somej of you

might be familiar with that.

And it basically just tells you a little bit more

about yourself and how your brain works, to help direct you

in the right direction.

And the only assignment, like Brandon said,

is that you have to give a presentation on a major.

So its really simple, it's and easy classes,

it just helps guide you in the right direction.

Personally, I chose Bradley mostly because of the AEP

program because some schools had options to go in undecided,

but Bradley had this option to actually go in undecided

and help guide you in the right direction

because they don't want you to waste your time in college

figuring out what you want to do.

And the best part about the program

is that they reassure are you being undecided is normal,

and it's not a bad thing.

So many people do change their majors

after their first/second year, and so

going undecided actually puts ahead of the curve

because you are already siding that way.

So why did you actually choose the major

that you ending up choosing?

BRANDON: So I chose criminal justice

because the first semester going through the class,

I was really drawn to the research

I was doing in that field.

I do like business, as I am a Business Management/Leadership

minor, but just doing that research,

it really intrigued me.

I was interested.

And another aspect of the AEP program

is you're able to take courses in the majors you

are interested in the first semester,

so I took Intro to Criminal Justice the first semester

freshman year.

And I absolutely loved that class.

It was fun just to go and learn about that,

and the professor was very interactive.

So that really helped me decide to become a Criminal Justice

major.

SARAH: And when did you declare?

BRANDON: I declared, actually, the last week

of my first semester freshman year going

into Christmas break.

SARAH: Oh, nice!

That's pretty early.

BRANDON: It was.

SARAH: I declared, I think, mid to end of second semester

my freshman year.

When I came into college, I knew that I

was interested in Communication and Theater.

And I wanted to not major in theater

and then participate in it, and then

I ended up really loving that, so I

wanted to use AEP to find my second major,

and I ended up settling on Advertising because it helped

release my creative outlet, and I

wanted to be able to design and do the fun, creative stuff.

And so I knew it would be somewhere in Communications,

but the AEP program helped me actually choose

Advertising as a concentration.

And so I think it was the end of my freshman year.

And there's no pressure to declare until your junior year,

I believe?

So a lot of people wait.

Some people declare sooner than they think.

And it's a great--

a great process.

So, let's look at some more.

BRANDON: So what was your favorite part

of the AEP program?

SARAH: That's a good question.

Probably my advisor, David Trillizio,

he was the head of the program at the time.

And what's cool about the problem

is that you're given an Academic Exploration Program

advisor to help guide you in the right direction.

So then they helped me pick which Gen Eds I should

take as long as I wasn't declared,

and then they helped transfer me to my advisors in Theatre

and Advertising once I did declare.

So it was an easy, seamless transition.

They especially help during orientation

when you have to pick your classes,

and you need help doing that, so they advise you then.

So I think that one-on-one advising was important.

What about you?

BRANDON: That's very true.

David was also my advisor.

And he was very helpful just in class,

but not just in class, but also outside of class.

SARAH: It's great.

BRANDON: He was very easy to make an appointment with, come

in and talk to.

I actually talk to him a few different times,

and I actually went back to him after I

declared Criminal Justice and met with him again

my second semester freshman year and just made

sure I was on the right track.

And he checked up on me, which I appreciated very much.

And I still say hi to him to this day

if I see him out walking--

SARAH: Me too.

BRANDON: --just on campus.

But then also, I really enjoyed learning about other majors

on Bradley's campus.

And part of the AEP program is you have professors

from different departments and colleges come in

and speak to you.

So you have a business professor come in

and talk to you, an engineering professor, a biology professor.

SARAH: I remember that.

You're so right.

BRANDON: Even though I didn't end up choosing that program,

it helped me filter out the ones I was not interested in,

and keep the ones I was interested in.

SARAH: Awesome.

Do you have any advice for anybody going in undecided?

BRANDON: The best advice is don't

be afraid to be undecided.

I know senior year in high school, a lot of my friends

were like, oh, I'm going to be a Nursing major at Iowa,

or I'm going to be a Business major or a Sociology major.

And for me, I was--

I felt pressured at the time.

I was like, oh, I need to decide something.

But looking back on it, I'm really glad I didn't.

And the AEP program at Bradley really drew me to this campus.

And even when I came to visit and I spoke with them,

they were very welcoming and reassuring me that--

I was just 18 at the time.

I don't know what I needed.

I didn't need to know what I wanted

to be for the rest of my life.

And It took away a lot of anxiety and stress,

and that really helped me out.

SARAH: Do you think that's the best thing it did for you, was

relieve you of that pressure?

BRANDON: Oh, definitely.

SARAH: Yeah, me too, me too.

Let's see, what else does the program entail?

Well, I'd say another great thing

is that you're in a class with other people who are undecided,

so you--

it's reinforced that you're not alone,

and you're in the same boat as many other people.

The class has many sections, and so you could meet people

like Brandon and myself.

We didn't know each other, but we both went undecided,

so we had that in common.

That's kind of cool.

And so it's good to know you're not alone,

and that's one thing that, again, Bradley reinforced

when I was looking at colleges.

I wanted a program to help make me feel safe

when choosing a major and relief that pressure.

BRANDON: That's very true.

SARAH: Yeah, I'm trying to think of--

that is all I can say about the AEP program.

I could not recommend it enough.

Oh yeah, do you know the Footsteps Program?

BRANDON: I do not.

SARAH: Well, they offered this program called the Footsteps

Program, at least when I was in it,

where it's basically an opportunity to job shadow.

So if you are interested-- like I'd sign up for it,

but my schedule wouldn't allow me to do it.

However, I was going to shadow somebody

in an advertising agency in Peoria,

and it's really great to do through the program

in the Smith Career Center is that--

Oh yeah, my favorite thing about the program, actually,

is that the resources it provides you with.

You get tons of resources, whether it's the Career

Center and these web links.

I remember specifically looking at this one website that

said, OK, you're looking into Communications,

here are all the potential jobs you can go into communications.

You're looking at advertising?

You want to be an art director?

Here is what it will pay.

Here is the kind of degree that requires

you to be an art director.

Here all qualifications you need for this position.

So the resources like that are probably

the best thing that the AEP Program provides you with.

Because a lot of people who don't go undecided,

they don't have those resources, or they

don't know where to find them.

And so that's probably my number one thing about the program.

But the Footsteps Program's definitely a cool opportunity

to shadow people in jobs that you are considering.

BRANDON: I agree with that.

SARAH: That's about all the time we have.

But thank you so much for watching

the Q&A. If you have any questions about the AEP

Program, Bradley in general, you can go to Bradley.edu,

check out the Admissions page, or go to Inside Bradley

and follow stars like me.

Have a great day!

BRANDON: Thank you

SARAH: Bye guys.

SmileStream Case Consulting Service Overview by CEO Miles McGann - Duration: 5:49.

Hello my name is Miles McGann and I'm the

president of SmileStream. Today we're

going to talk about our consulting service.

Our consulting service is

designed to give you the ability to talk

with a certified instructor on how best

to treat your cases. With our service we

have the ability to do it in

orthodontics as well as every other

areas of dentistry. Our consulting

services are separated in three

different areas: Standard Consulting,

Express Consulting and Mentoring.

Standard consulting means that this is

our standard service where you send in

the records they will go through your

records and any work up that you've done

and give advice about how to best treat that case.

Express service gives you the

ability to ask that instructor to move

you to the top of list and get you that

case back to you in a shorter turnaround time.

Mentoring allows you to continue

sending the case back and forth to the

instructor for that single first payment

and that allows the instructor to help

you from the start of the case to the finish.

Now with mentoring a lot of the

instructors will give you their terms

which will specify how you're allowed to

communicate with them, how often you're allowed

to communicate with them and things along

those lines to give you guidance on what

to do with this case. We're going to look

into how to do consulting. So I've

selected the patient I want to open so I

through open patient I will select a

patient this time I'll select Kriza Salvatierra

This will open up this patient and I'm in the orthodontic

module which is right here. On any one

these pages in the upper right hand

corner you're going to see this button

up here looks like a head with a brain

in it and it says Consulting. When I

click on Consulting the list of

consultants will come up

Now, you can see on the left-hand side

here we have the availability to consult

in every different specialty.

For this one I'm looking at orthodontics.

You have what's called the first available box.

The first available box is a price

that's set by SmileStream which is $300

flat rate per case. They have a guarantee

turnaround of two days or 48 hours and

the max price so the max price is $300

because that is a flat rate.

Beyond that on that you're allowed to choose

from a wide variety of different

instructors so we have the list of all

of our different instructors here as

well as what different specialties that

they are currently offering diagnosis in

and each one of the instructors have set

their own price based upon what their

time that they feel is worth how much

they'd like to do it for. So you have

you'll see a couple different styles.

You'll see for instance on this one

Michael Krennrich he has $450 an hour with

a 7 day turnaround guarantee with a 1

hour max and so he has $450 as the

maximum price he can be charged.

Or you'll see like down here at Dr. Richter

he likes doing it flat rates because he

doesn't like to look at the minutes so

for him he has $375 flat

with the maximum turnaround

time of ten days so he will definitely

get us back to you back in ten days

and so the maximum you can be charged at $375

and all his terms, if the instructor has set

terms, are right here. So he has on terms

here I'm accepting section one and two

cases please send me an email with your

name etc etc you know all these

different things he'd like for you to

do with it when you are saying it to him.

Okay so you can see a per hour

rate or a flat rate and you can scroll

through here you can find an instructor

you either know or that you like the price

of and want to try out and you'll see a

wide variety of prices based upon

different people and how they value

their time and how much diagnosis they'd

like to do. You also have what's called

Express consulting. Express consulting is

the same as Standard consulting except

this will get you at a higher level of

time turn around.

So for instance a look at Dr. Brian Liao

here. He has for orthodontics his

normal rate is $300 an hour. His max

price is...his maximum amount of time as 1.3

hours which be three hundred ninety

dollars and his standard turnaround is

four days. However, if for some reason you

need that diagnosis done quicker he

offers a 24-hour service where you will

get this case back within 24 hours

guaranteed but he charges an extra

hundred and fifty dollars for that service.

And that would be a flat rate.

He also offers what's called mentoring so

for mentoring Dr. Liao offers a $500 flat rate and that

the difference between that and between

Mentoring and Consulting is that with

Mentoring you're allowed to continue

asking questions throughout the case

under that first charge of that first

flat rate charge. And he has all of his

terms here so for Dr. Liao if I click on

this it says Section 1-4

case accepted max is...so he doesn't have

all the terms here this is where the

terms will go and he'll kind of specify

how he wants you to send these cases

back to him at what points to send it

back to him, accept it through email, or

does allow phone calls, whatever

limitations he puts to his mentoring service.

But the design around the

mentoring is to allow you to have a

guide throughout your entire case

instead of just from the very beginning

on the initial diagnosis

This is about...this is how our

service is available and as I said

there's a wide variety of services for

you to put for you to choose from at a

wide variety of prices based upon what

you feel comfortable with and with the

instructor you feel comfortable with.

So please, you know, find what you like and

these can change relative to what they

are using and their time constraints so

if they're going on vacation or if

they're at a seminar or if they're just

very busy that week they may change

their terms to what works for them at that time.

Thank you for using our

consulting services and I'm quite

confident you'll find these very helpful in your practice.

How Many Earth-size Planets Are In Our Galaxy? - Duration: 1:38.

Narrator: The most comprehensive dataset from NASA's

Kepler Mission will help researchers discover

how many Earth-size planets are in our galaxy.

Using the first four years of Kepler observations

in the constellation of Cygnus,

the Planet Candidate Catalog contains

the best characterized data yet.

The data contains 219 new planet candidates.

Ten of these are less than twice the size of

the Earth and orbit in their stars' habitable zones.

The habitable zone is a range of distance from a

star where liquid water could pool on the surface

of a rocky planet.

The data will be used by scientists to help

determine the frequency and variety of planets

in the galaxy.

A recent discovery using Kepler data showed that

small planets come in two distinct size classes:

The Earth and super-Earth-size class and

the slightly larger mini-Neptune-size class.

The result shows that nature commonly makes rocky

planets up to about 75 percent bigger than Earth.

Kepler has identified more than 4,000 planet

candidates beyond the solar system and

2,335 of which have been confirmed as planets.

Kepler's search for planets continues as part of

an on-going study of different regions of space.

Future studies could reveal a vast range of planet

demographics and help enable the search for life.

Marco Rubio is wary of the Republicans' secret health care bill - politics - Duration: 2:50.

Marco Rubio is wary of the Republicans secret health care bill

As Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., pressures his colleagues for a vote

on the new health care proposal before the July 4 recess, Sen. Marco Rubio R-Fla., did

a rare thing on Sunday when he spoke against his ranks by pointing out that constructing

a health care bill in complete secrecy is probably not the best way to go about implementing

an overhaul to a system that will impact tens of millions of lives.

The Senate is not a place where you can just cook up something behind closed doors

and rush it for a vote on the floor, Rubio told John Dickerson in a Face the Nation

interview.

Especially on an issue like this.

So the first step in this may be crafted among a small group of people, but then everyones

going to get to weigh in.

The process to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act has not been a formal one, as Republicans

have hid the bill in a closed-door process and have no intentions of making a draft publicly

available because they arent stupid, according to one GOP Senate aide.

President Donald Trump wants things to run quickly and smoothly so he can once again

boast about a much needed legislative accomplishment.

Though he has privately called the health care bill that passed in the House in May

mean and wants the Senate Republicans to be more generous. However, thats

unlikely to happen, and according to Rubio, so is a swift vote.

It is going to take days and weeks to work through that in the Senate, Rubio said.

Though he is still likely to vote for the bill anyways.

This is a vital week for the Senate because they need to finalize the bill in order to

receive a score from the Congressional Budget Office and they wont vote without one,

according to Axios.

After the House proposal passed, the CBO score said it would throw 23 million people of health

insurance over the course of the next decade.

Axios reported that McConnell is likely to force a vote before July 4 regardless of whether

he knows he has the necessary 50 votes or not.

It might be wise for Republicans to reconsider how they construct the health care overhaul

because Sen. Ben Sasse R-Neb., has been the victim of some state of the art trolling.

Someone has subscribed various email accounts of his to the band Nickelbacks promo newsletters,

and hes pretty pissed off.

Tour: Music Buildings - Duration: 12:12.

ANDY CORBIN: Hey, everybody.

My name's Andy Corbin.

I'm an admission counselor here at Bradley university,

and I'm also an alum of the music

department here at Bradley.

I'm going to show you a little bit about what's

going on with our music department

and show you some of the buildings

that you can actually take classes in,

you can be in performing groups and view part of those,

it's awesome.

So let's head on inside Constance hall, one of my most

Instagrammed halls here on campus.

It actually used to be a women's dorm back in the 1930s.

But then, they re-did it and now it's

full of practice rooms and offices for faculty,

and also some classrooms.

So let's head on inside.

And there's always students in here.

Hi, we're live on Facebook.

Hi.

Hi.

Hi Facebook.

This is the student lounge here in Constance hall.

A lot of students hang out there literally all day long, all

hours of the day.

That's also where students will grab a bite

to eat and hang out with friends,

and then also do like homework and stuff

so they can really collaborate and be together.

It's kind of like a big family here in the music department.

Over here on the right, there's a class going on,

so we don't want to be too loud.

This is one of the classrooms happening in Constance hall.

It's probably music theory or actually, it

looks like music history.

So one of my favorite classes, for sure.

Let's head on upstairs.

I'll show you guys a practice room.

Hi again, everybody.

Bye.

So Constance hall is definitely one of the most beautiful

buildings here on campus.

I absolutely love it.

This is where I spent most of my time

here on campus, in one of these practice rooms,

more specifically.

Follow me this way.

Here, you'll see some offices.

Dr. Orfe, Molly Sloder, one of my favorite people

in the world.

Her office is right there.

And hopefully, my favorite practice room will be open.

It's occupied.

But it's actually really cool.

You can take a look inside.

This practice room has lockers in it,

so students can actually keep their instruments here

in the music building instead of lugging them back and forth

from their dorm back and forth.

So it's really nice.

There's also some practice rooms along here.

And Constance has four floors full of practice rooms.

So you'll usually find one pretty easily, which is great.

Let's head back on downstairs, and then I'm

going to actually walk you guys over

to Dingledine Music Center.

So you can see where some of our performing groups

actually do performances.

It looks like SAI is selling something over here.

What are you guys doing today?

Tickets to the SAI performance.

Nice.

When is it?

March 3rd.

It's a Friday.

Very cool.

You guys have a good day.

You too.

OK, so it looks like we have a question.

Yes, Pablo asks, are practice rooms

only open to music students?

They are not.

It is usually that music students

have priority over them because they

have to prepare for rehearsals or recitals and things

like that.

So usually, music students have first choice.

But they are open to students.

If you know have to play piano or you have a guitar

and you don't want to bother anybody in the dorms,

it's a great place to go.

So as you can see, we're kind of outside

now in one of our quad-ish areas, I should say.

Over here, you'll see Olin hall.

This is where like a lot of the science classes are.

There's some great labs in there,

including a cadaver lab, which I've never

seen because I don't want to.

But apparently, it's really awesome

if you're into that sort of thing.

So campus is actually really, really small.

It's about three by three city blocks.

You can walk from one end to the other in about 10 minutes.

Let's not get hit by a car.

And we're actually headed to Dingledine Music Center, which

is actually one of the farthest buildings on campus,

or it's just a little bit off campus, I should say.

But you'll see that this walk is probably about three minutes.

So it's really easy to go from the music building

to Dingledine really easily.

On the left, you'll see Heuser Art Center.

This is where the art classes happen.

There's studio art, there's all sorts

of things that happen in there.

It's one of my favorite buildings,

because there's art literally everywhere,

sculptures and everything.

So it's really great.

So this is Bradley Avenue right here.

We see the nice Bradley flags hanging down the street.

And to the right is where all of the campus buildings are.

You can see Bradley hall through there in between Swords hall

and then Olin here.

So you can kind of get a layout of where we are on campus.

So we're going to be passing fraternity and sorority row.

It's on Fredonia Avenue.

That's where all of the fraternities and sororities

kind of have their houses.

There are a few not on that row, but for the most part,

they're on this.

If you guys have any questions, make

sure you comment on the comments section, anything

about fraternities, sororities, music.

Obviously, I know a little bit about that.

But also admissions, if you have any questions about getting

your enrollment deposit in, or housing deposit,

or how to choose a dorm, you can always

ask me that and I can get those questions answered for you.

We just turned onto Institute, and we're

going to be walking right toward Fredonia right now.

You can kind of see the houses over here.

So I'd say we're probably over half way to our destination.

And we've probably been walking for two minutes, maybe

three minutes.

you can see that campus is really small.

There's no need for buses to get you from one class to the next.

You can just kind of walk.

And it's really nice, because a lot of the academic buildings

are in a square-ish formation.

So I used to cut through a lot the buildings

to get to other buildings if it was like snowing,

or if it was just super cold.

Fortunately, right now in Illinois,

it's like 70 degree weather.

But that is not every February.

Usually, it's subzero at this point.

So if you're coming from California or something

like that, prepare.

Prepare yourself.

I had to wear a jacket today, but yesterday, we

were out here in like short sleeves and like shorts.

It was amazing.

OK, now, we're on Fredonia.

And you can kind of look both ways

and see the really great fraternities

and sororities here on campus.

And we'll look both ways and make sure

that we don't get hit by another car.

There's actually an elementary school right down there,

I'm assuming it's a bell for the elementary school.

It's really great, because a lot of our teaching majors,

elementary school majors, they'll

actually get an opportunity to work with students

at that elementary school and get

some real experiential learning, which is really great.

It's something that we love here at Bradley.

All right, we're actually kind of off campus right now,

even though it still kind of feels like we're on campus.

To the left, you'll see this is actually

see this is Dingledine Music Center.

We're going to go in through the front door,

and it's on Barker Avenue.

There's lots of houses on Barker Avenue where families live.

Some professors live in these houses.

But there's also an opportunity to rent some of these houses

if you're a student.

Starting your junior and senior year,

you're allowed to live off campus.

So students will move into this neighborhood

and have like an entire house with them

and like a couple of friends, which is really cool.

So this is actually the courtyard outside

of Dingledine.

And it's really great, because every year, the first few days

that school starts, they actually have a picnic out here

for all music majors.

So you can kind of introduce yourself to other music majors

and meet professors and everything like that.

And I was mentioning earlier that the music department is

like a big family, and it's absolutely true.

You actually really feel like you're with your family

when you're in your classes, which is really fun.

Someone else is trying to get in.

How's it going?

Good, how are you?

Doing great. you have a class in here?

I do.

Is it chorale?

Well, no.

I have women's choir.

Oh, women's choir.

All right, let's head on in.

After you.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

So there are lots of actual ensembles that practice

in here, as well as perform.

For instance, I was in chorale while I was here

at Bradley, chamber singers, there's women's choir.

I obviously wasn't a part of that.

Bradley symphonic band and symphonic winds

also perform in here, as well as the Bradley orchestra.

And then there's also just lots of little ensembles.

There's like a Renaissance ensemble

that will perform in here, as well as student recitals.

So let's head on in kind of take a look

at the actual performance space.

Let's go ahead on in.

So this actually used to be a church back in the early 1900s.

And in the 80s, Bradley actually bought the building and kind

of transformed it into this Music Center.

So you can take a look.

They're setting up for women's choir right now on stage.

Hi you guys.

Hi.

We're live on Facebook.

Wow.

So as you can see, there's lots of seating in here.

And up in the loft, there's actually

original pews from when this was a church back

in the early 1900s.

And actually, Sunday, February 26th, this place

is going to house the Bradley symphonic winds.

They're doing a John Philip Sousa concert.

They do one every other year here at Bradley.

And Dr. Roman, director of bands,

actually dresses up like John Philip Sousa and the band

does a like historically accurate John Philip Sousa

concert.

It's really cool to see.

And if you're on campus that day for some reason,

you should definitely check it out.

It's worth checking out.

We're going to head downstairs and see

where the Bradley symphonic winds and Bradley

symphonic band rehearse.

So now, we're kind of behind the scenes,

and we're going to run into students here.

So I just want to warn you.

Oh, no.

OK, great.

So most students enter through this door.

The public is not allowed to enter through there,

but students do to get to their classes.

And then this is the band room where rehearsals happen.

So I was in symphonic winds when I was here at Bradley.

I was a trumpet player.

So I sat right in here.

There's lots of great ways to get involved here

on campus with music.

It's really great, because you don't have to be a music major

to be a part of any ensemble here on campus.

So if you're an engineer or you're a nursing major,

it doesn't matter.

You can be in the top ensembles for band and choir.

If you want to be in the musical, that's also an option.

There's just lots of ways to get involved here on campus.

So thank you for going on the tour with me

of some of the music of buildings here on campus.

And if you do have any questions,

you can always give us a call at the admission office.

It's 309-677-1000.

And you can comment on questions on here as well,

and we'll get back to you.

Thank you so much.

Have a great day.
