Waching daily Jun 23 2017

Originally for the pallet wood panels

we were going to whitewash them.

Maybe mixed with a little pastel color.

But after getting the pallet wood ready

the natural color was so pretty.

We decided to lacquer them instead.

I finished applying the first coat

and just finished spraying the second coat.

take a look.

Here..

You can see the lacquer finish.

It's drying now.

The color didn't come out the way I expected.

Let me show you.

These here

have been lacquered.

They have 3 coats.

And these 3 haven't been lacquered.

After lacquering them, they turned too yellow.

We going back to the original plan to whitewash them.

I've gotten the pain ready for whitewashing.

The container labeled Sour Cream

has a mix of 2 parts water to 1 part paint.

This mix will be painted directly onto the board.

The second meathod

I'll paint the board first.

And wipe it down with a damp cloth.

I finished whitewashing.

This one was painted with the 2 to 1 mix.

It has two coats.

This next one was painted

And wiped with a damp cloth.

I don't really like how white this one came out.

I decided to go with the watered down paint method.

The original mix of 2 to 1 was a little too watered down.

So I will add more paint to the mix.

It will be an equal part paint and water.

If it's still too watered down

I'll just add another coat.

Pallet wood whitewashed!

I finished whitewashing the pallet wood.

Just waiting for them to dry.

They have one coating of paint.

I'm still considering to apply a second coat.

But I don't want it to turn out too white.

The floor is also a white vinyl.

If everything is too white...

It might look like a mental hospital.

I'm installing the side panel now.

It's around lunch time now.

It's so hot!

I'm working on the side panels.

These three are not being installed yet.

Because there is a tank in the back.

We have to make it accessible.

So we'll attach them later.

The way we're attaching the panel

is with 3M VHB tape.

So we ordered this very strong tape.

On the painted part or the back side

goes the tape and then attaching them.

by applying pressure after taking off the backing.

These three are good but this one came loose.

Need to do this one again.

OMG it's so hot!

It's way too hot.

If I don't move it's okay.

But working inside really makes you sweat.

Anyways, time to get back to work!

If you look at this part of the pallet wood

You can see the nail holes.

But from here to here.

these boards didn't have nail holes.

So after attaching them, it looked kind of strange.

So I decided to fix it.

I made some fake nail holes in them.

I used the drill.

Anyways, the holes in the pallet wood

aren't really positioned uniformly.

So I just randomly placed some holes.

The problem is

The boards were already whitewashed.

After drilling the holes

The unpainted color showed through the holes.

You can see the yellow wood color come through.

Just one board is okay

But a row of boards like this

would look awkward.

So I thought about how to paint the holes.

So I broke a wooden chopstick.

I broke it so it would have a thin piece at the end.

So I dipped the end in paint

And stuck it in the hole.

It turned out okay.

It looks a lot better with the fake nail holes than without.

At least I think so.

Our inspection date is next week.

But you can probably see

We're just barely getting to the furniture frame.

So I'm really worried about it.

If we can't get it inspected by the deadline

We have to start the whole process over again.

You have to get the inspection within 45 days.

If you can't finish by then

You previous approval is cancelled.

And you have to resubmit all the paper work

And pay the fees again.

It would be so nice if they didn't have a deadline.

The deadline really is a pain.

Because I was working I could only do this on the weekends.

We want to show our personality in Tubi's design.

We want people to say, oh yes, that's definitely Campingcarjoa's style.

I really wanted to put in my personality into this build.

So you could tell right away it was from us.

That's the way I wanted to build her.

But we are skipping over some stuff.

Hoping we can redo it later.

I really hate working this way.

I guess that's just my ambition.

Maybe I want too much.

Not having enough time

is really regrettable.

We can't buy more time even with money.

So there nothing we can do.

So we'll try...

to keep working hard.

That's all we can do.

Fighting.. fighting! (Korea cheer)

I'm going to finish this!

Comfort Nation: The Secrets to Jerk Chicken | Food Network - Duration: 3:57.

It's spicy.

It's sweet.

It's smoky and it's saucy.

It's jerk chicken, man.

I'm here in New York City in search

of the best jerk chicken.

And the place that does it right is here at Miss Lily's.

My mother's family's from Guyana,

so I grew up eating Caribbean food.

The man behind Miss Lily's is Chef Andre.

And he's going to give me the lowdown on his secrets

to the best jerk chicken.

Chef Andre, I'm so excited to be here, man.

I love Jamaican food.

Well, you're from Jamaica, Queens, right?

I'm From Jamaica, Queens.

The other Jamaica.

And I'm from Jamaica.

- Ay, I love it. - All right.

So jerk.

Jerk.

Jerk was created back in the 18th century

to preserve your meats while cooking it.

It's a combination of all these beautiful ingredients

that you see here.

Obviously, we have the Scotch bonnet pepper.

Scotch bonnet, of course.

You got to have the Scotch bonnet to make your jerk.

But if you don't have Scotch bonnet because it's

such a unique pepper, you can use any form of chili

that you like.

OK.

I love fresh thyme.

Come on, it has to be fresh thyme.

Oh, got to be fresh.

- All right. - Or--

[laughs]

A little fragrance, you know, for the chef.

When did you first experience this kind of cooking?

Back in Jamaica, I grew up with my grandmother.

And of course, that's where any beautiful cooking is starting,

with your grandmother.

And she's a very strong and serious cook.

So every Sunday, I'll help her get a produce from the market

and come back home to prep for Sunday dinner.

And she would make like the traditional rice and peas,

the jerk chicken, the oxtail.

And it was a beautiful thing to watch.

So I got inspired by her, because that's

the way how she showed her love, was through food.

Wow.

You know?

And so that's why I decided to become a chef.

You know, I have a similar story.

My father taught me how to cook.

And I grew up watching him cook.

And when I think about comfort food today,

I think about those things, those memories

growing up with my dad.

On Sundays, Sundays was like a big day for family--

We call it Sunday dinner.

Sunday dinner.

Sunday dinner.

I'm really smelling the aroma of the garlic and the ginger.

As you can see, the skin is nice and crispy.

Mm. Can I feel it?

And it's still juicy inside.

It's so yummy.

Jerk, pretty much you can make it your own.

A lot of people tend to add soy sauce,

sesame oil, whatever it is to bring out your flavor

profile, that's fine.

This is all ready.

Ah.

I wish you guys could smell this.

Yes.

You should smell that.

[sniffing].

Oh my goodness.

And you can serve the jerk chicken

with rice and peas, festival--

- We got you some rice and peas. - Dumplings.

We got you some rice and peas to serve with our jerk

chicken for today.

Oh my god, I'm loving it.

We have mango chutney.

Mango chutney.

The chicken can be very spicy, so you

need a sweet condiment to balance

that spiciness of the chicken.

Right.

And again, if you want to entertain and do

something that's different-- - Yes.

- Do jerk chicken. - Do jerk chicken.

Do something that someone has never seen or tasted before.

Introduce them to something that's different.

Oh my goodness. Chef?

I'm going to take this. - Just go.

I'll see you next week.

Thank you.

Mm.

You know what I'm loving about this?

It's got this beautiful spice.

I'm just--

And there you go.

Oh.

My goodness.

I'm like in a Jamaican heaven right now.

The best kind of food is the food that minds you of home.

It's the food that makes sense to you, that sings to spirit.

And that actually, when you close your eyes,

you just feel comfortable.

You feel at ease.

You feel like you just want to stay here all day.

I can stay here all day long.

Trump Says He Understands 'Lock Her Up,' After He Heard 'That Testimony' - Duration: 1:42.

Trump Says He Understands Lock Her Up, After He Heard That Testimony

BY ALEX PFEIFFER

President Donald Trump responded to lock her up chants at a rally Wednesday by saying

he understands after listening to that testimony.

WATCH:

Trump spoke in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at a rally promoted by his 2020 re-election campaign.

After speaking about President Bill Clintons failure to achieve health care reform, the

audience at the U.S. Cellular Center broke out into the familiar chant of lock her

up.

This chant is in regards to Hillary Clinton, who then-candidate Trump said would be in

jail if he won.

President Trump stayed silent throughout the chant and then said, After listening to

that testimony I fully understand.

This is likely in reference to testimony from former FBI Director James Comey.

Comey said that Lynch allowed him to investigate Clintons use of a private email server

as secretary of state, but told him to call it a matter.

The former FBI director went on to say that this concerned him, as it sounded like

language the Clinton campaign was using.

Trump mentioned this in a tweet last week in which he wrote, A.G. Lynch made law

enforcement decisions for political purposesgave Hillary Clinton a free pass

and protection.

Totally illegal!

BRAZIL'S UFO NIGHT THE MOST LEGITIMATE UFO INCIDENT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT - Duration: 3:38.

BRAZIL'S UFO NIGHT - THE MOST LEGITIMATE UFO INCIDENT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT

Back in May of 1986, a strange phenomenon happened in the sky over Brazil.

It would seem that their air force picked up on their radar around 21 objects that no

one could identify.

If that wasn't enough, there were also numerous reports from individuals in the area stating

that they too saw the UFO's.

The Brazilian Air Force was even deployed to engage the objects to defend the country.

But despite how unusual the incident may have been and one that is certainly a major encounter

with UFOs the reaction by the Brazilian authorities and the Brazilian Government after the fact

was even more questionable than the incident itself.

BRAZIL'S NIGHT OF UFO'S, WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED The next day a press conference was held to

try to ease the mounting questions of the press along with the public.

The Brazilian Air Force Secretary Octvio Julio Moreira Lima promised that a full-scale

investigation would be launched into the incident and that as soon as there was something to

report the public would be told.

However, according to some report, the U.S.

Government found out about the incident and put a halt to the investigation.

So, is this true?

Well, it would certainly explain why suddenly the Brazilian authorities became closed mouth

about the whole incident.

They even went as far as to dismiss the whole thing as something easily explained such as

a meteor shower, or lightening strikes.

However, this was something that many who witnessed the incident had a hard time accepting.

These days it's hard to keep such an incident quiet though.

The invention of the Internet and even Smartphones have brought such claims of UFO' incidents

to the next level.

Individuals now take their footage of what they filmed with their phones online for others

to see.

In fact, the Internet has breathed new life into Brazil's Night of UFO's.

A person can now go out online to read or even watch the video of eye witness accounts

of what happened that fateful night.

So, the truth did eventually come out, as to what these glowing object were, that was

never determined at least not to the general public.

iSpyPens LLC - Product Experience Workshop, Vision, Teamwork, Social Media, and more - June 23, 2017 - Duration: 6:15.

Does this work when it's not attached?

Yes, its fully - so I honestly - if I were you guys I wouldn't even screw the bottom piece back on

because that's just a waste of your time.

When I plug this in, it does this.

This is how you learn, like you're seeing first hand, right - no you don't have to push

that all the way in.

And somebody might have this same issue.

I'll plug it into mine, just to double check.

If the light doesn't come on, that means it's out of mode. So you just switch it again.

Okay.

It's almost, so that means the deal isn't done yet.

I did.

Here's the thing, a lot of times customers will mess it up, but you can't tell them that

they messed it up.

You have to say look...

What I need from you guys is complete transparency in everything.

I'm never going to get mad at you guys no matter what.

You could cost this company $5,000 and I might be a little pissed off...but I need you to

come forward about everything that goes on, up front.

Because it gives me the opportunity to fix any issues.

Come to me right away and say look, this is what happened - and I promise that I won't

mad at you.

But that gives me the opportunity to get everything back from Amazon before it reaches

any customers.

Does that make sense?

Because if we are all working together and collaborating, and being positive, that's

how we are going to make it the furthest.

I take this pretty seriously, even though I'm going to try to make this as laid back and fun as possible

Everyone is going to get rewarded for the success of this company.

You mess up, it's okay, I just want you to be straight up.

It will actually strengthen our relationship vs tear it apart - because then I know I can

trust you.

You got my trust up front, you can strengthen that trust by actually coming forward when you mess up.

Okay, yeah.

My number one concern is building a team - okay?

And you guys, and potentially Josh, are going to be this foundation for that team.

I'm not throwing you into anything overwhelming because I want to work with you and everything

else that you have going on, with what we are doing.

My vision for you guys is not to make $8 per hour.

My vision for you guys is to actually grow with me as part of the company.

Over the next month or so, I want you to just experiment and see what you like, because

there is no clear cut way for me to tell you what you like to do...

But what we're working towards in the near future, is the holiday season.

What I want you all to have the opportunity to do for the holiday season is actually get

a return on the sales.

I need you to be experts in the product.

I need you to be the biggest asset to the company.

Being an expert in the product is part of the iSpyPens mission, rather than my own.

That's very generous...transparency...

You guys are with me at the beginning! I want you guys to be straight up with me. I'm going to be completely straight up with

you.

I want to make it fun, but also, business is business.

Right.

I think one was going to be about an adapter.

Where's your car?

Wait, I can definitely carry this.

It's not that heavy.

Are you sure?

Yeah, definitely.

I'm happy to do it.

I'll take it at least downstairs.

Okay.

You're good?

Yeah.

That's true. That's big.

Bigger picture.

That's how you add value.

A month from now, you can be a brand expert rolling out this great content, and now I'm

not really going to have any choice but to keep you...I will but I won't.

That makes sense.

This is what the company needs, Yeah.

Now we need to delegate, between us.

But don't get me wrong, don't feel like you can't do that.

Bro, obviously...

Communication - we need to communicate.

A step ahead, in a way.

It's not even a step system - you're on a different staircase.

I like that, I like that.

A different staircase...

Creative skills that create an online vision of iSpyPens that are shareable.

So does that refer to social media?

That refers to social media. And it's time and effort.

When I do manage social media, I would run everything by you.

Until at one point you're like, you got the vision down, everything is good,

let's roll.

Make it not just about selling a product, but sharing our story.

Had a great meeting today...everything bro, just share it, share it, everything.

Twitter and Instagram are our primary aggressive areas right now.

I can send you video files, you can take freeze frames of meetings and stuff.

Just wondering.

No, no - that's a really good point.

Like I told you, I'm going in the right direction now.

I'm still not where I want to be, but it's a constant evolution.

Consistency...starting to do some more color matching, even though it's not perfect...my goal is

that I want it to look more and more like...see this...don't look at anything else specifically.

Just look generally at this.

Yes.

It's getting better.

Not where I want it to be.

I see, I see where you're trying to go.

Okay, so you found Tasty, so you type that in here in Pinterest.

If you don't refund me I'm reporting you to the Attorney General, next thing you know...

Bro, did you pay with your debit card?

One sec...hey this is Andrew.

Hey Andrew, this is Benjamin from RetailBound, is this an okay time to talk?

I received your email from Kelsey, who you also received an email from.

I just wanted to talk if you have a chance.

Absolutely man, but I do have a meeting in a few minutes, but I'd love to get some more

information from you regarding what you have to offer.

I did some research regarding your company, just because obviously I want to be careful

about who I'm working with.

Several people have reached out to me about getting into retail locations.

If you tell me a bit about what you have to offer, I'll definitely take note of it and

hopefully we can work out a partnership.
