I am a big fan of games based on medieval times and if you have ever played dragon age

then I am sure you have heard about the territories known as the free marches.

I also love history and am especially fascinated by the Holy Roman Empire which also had regions

known as marches.

In this episode, we are going to see what a march is and who was in charge!

A march or mark was, in broad terms, a medieval European term for any kind of borderland,

as opposed to a national 'heartland' or 'homeland'.

More specifically, a march was a border between realms, and/or a neutral/buffer zone under

joint control of two states, in which different laws might apply.

In both of these senses, marches held an important role such as providing a first line of defence

and warning of military incursions and regulating cross-border trade.

Like other areas such, as counties were traditionally ruled by counts, marches gave rise to titles

such as: marquess (masculine) or marchioness (feminine) in England, marquis (masc.) or

marquise (fem.) in France, margrave (Markgraf i.e. "march count"; masc.) or margravine (Markgräfin

i.e. "march countess", fem.) in Germany, and corresponding titles in other European states.

The word "march" derives ultimately from a Proto-Indo-European root *mereg-, meaning

"edge, boundary".

The root *mereg- produced Latin margo ("margin").

Because of this "mark" in Old English meant "boundary" or "sign of a boundary", and the

meaning only later evolved to encompass "sign" in general, "impression" and "trace" which

is pretty much what it still means today.

In most of the world, over time, the theoretical distinction between a marquess and other titles

has, since the faded into obscurity.

In the UK in times past, the distinction between a count and a marquess was that the land of

a marquess, called a march, was on the border of the country, while a count's land, called

a county, often was not.

As a result of this, a marquess was trusted to defend and fortify against potentially

hostile neighbours and was thus more important and ranked higher than a count.

The title is ranked below that of a duke, which was often restricted to the royal family

and those that were held in high enough esteem to be granted such a title.

Like other major Western noble titles, marquess (and marquis) is sometimes used to render

certain titles in non-Western languages with their own traditions, even though they are,

as a rule, historically unrelated and thus hard to compare.

However, they are considered "equivalent" in rank.

This is the case with: In ancient China, 侯 (Hóu) is generally

translated as marquess or marquis.

In the Japanese restoration period Meiji Japan,

rank, was introduced in 1884

In ancient Korea also translated as marquess of a region

So to conclude: March comes from an ancient word meaning margin

It was the borderland territory between countries It could be ruled over by a couple of nations

Its leader was known as a marquess And it held an important defensive and economic

position

and they've negotiated that and that is their prerogative and why is the type of

not true just plain and simple not true the dawn can also stop activity at any

time you know they can do it the true if face word or more commonly just by

stopping whatever it is that there doing I don't just keep flogging

other person takes some power that's kind of the whole point of the

relationships so the thing that I really just get to me is that the side wall of

power sort of assumes that again these bonds are sadistic robots or whatever is

it just keep going until someone says read which obviously is not the case we

are humans and we have our own wants and needs and likes and dislikes and limits

and all of that and this is why finding a compatible partner is so important my

sub or bottom or slave or never shows it's engage in relationship with me

say for the knowledge that I'm not going to do things that require them to use a

safe word unless we're playing with that purpose in mind but they don't have to

stop me from doing things because I don't want to do them because we are

compatible we are interested in the same thing and if we aren't always interested

Katy Perry Has A Pretty Strange Love Life - Duration: 5:01.

Although Katy Perry tries to keep her private life mostly private, the pop starlet has gone

through some very public hook-ups and breakups that have many fans scratching their heads.

The "Roar" singer may be on top of the world in terms of fame and fortune, but when it

comes to matters of the heart, she seems to have trouble finding a man who measures up.

Here are some of the weirdest aspects of Katy Perry's relationship history.

Walking on Air

Back when Katy Perry was still going by her birth name, Kathryn Hudson, she dated Relient

K frontman Matt Thiessen for three years and dove headlong into that relationship. As in,

during one of their cover performances of Eminem's "Lose Yourself," she did a stage

dive into the crowd, and it did not end well for her. Clips of the embarrassing incident

still circulate the web to showcase just how strange the singer can behave in the name

of love.

Circle the Drain

Before becoming a household name, Katy Perry dated actor Johnny Lewis from 2005 to 2006.

In 2012, Lewis died after falling from a roof — but not before he allegedly beat his landlady

to death and killed and dismembered her cat. Yes, really. Lewis reportedly suffered from

drug addiction, and sources told the site that he may have been under the influence

of methamphetamine or PCP at the time of the incident.

Perry was reportedly "devastated" by Lewis' death. A source told US Weekly, "She had to

separate from him … to get ahead and focus on her career. He was in trouble then and

she couldn't help him. A lot of her songs were partially inspired by him."

"You have a situation that's out of your hands, like you can't change someone. Someone won't

change unless they want to be changed."

Among the songs that were supposedly devoted to his memory were "The One That Got Away"

and "Circle the Drain."

Hot n Cold

Perry and her first public boyfriend, Travis "Travie" McCoy, were serious enough to have

promise rings. They dated for more than two years, even making appearances in one another's

music videos. Given all that history, imagine his surprise when she dumped him over email

in May 2009.

He said, "[The email] started off with 'I love you so much I hate to do this, blah blah

blah.' Someone that you are ready to spend the rest of your life with sends you a f**king

email just s**ting on your whole parade. It destroyed me."

Of course, Perry did have her reasons for letting him go.

"I basically broke down. I chose drugs over our relationship"

But that poor form of saying goodbye would come back to haunt her later on in life.

Dark Horse

A little over two years after she dumped McCoy over email, Perry got a taste of her own digital

medicine when her then-husband Russell Brand told Perry he wanted a divorce via text message.

She revealed to Vogue, "[he is] a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married

him. Let's just say I haven't heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing

me December 31, 2011."

And that wasn't the only oddity about her marriage to Brand, either.

Perry also told Vogue that her intensive tour schedule for Teenage Dream was a factor in

her divorce from Brand, but that there were also some unnamed, sinister elements at play

as well, saying:

"He didn't like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour. So that was really hurtful,

and it was very controlling, which was upsetting. I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending,

but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep

it locked in my safe for a rainy day. I let go and I was like: This isn't because of me;

this is beyond me. So, I have moved on from that."

Some suspected he may have been unfaithful to her after one of Perry's best friends,

Markus Molinari, name-checked him in a tweet about infidelity. But for his part, Brand

has adamantly denied any philandering during the brief marriage.

Chained to the Rhythm

If you're starting to notice a pattern with the type of guys Katy Perry has been with,

it's because there is one. Her most high-profile relationships have consistently been with

guys that have bad reputations, and her on-and-off romance with John Mayer was no exception.

The two experienced a roller coaster romance that spanned several years, several breakups,

and even a musical collaboration, and their shared stage history seemed like a winning

combination for both.

"We have a lot of fun, you know, we have music as an understanding and love between each

other and we connect."

But it was her words about her attraction to Mayer that explained so much about her

overall history with men.

During one of their "off" moments, she told Vogue Magazine, "I was madly in love with

him. I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that

he's got a beautiful mind. Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why

I am attracted to these broken birds."

The two split, seemingly for good, in 2015, but he's since been writing songs about her

so don't count this celeb duo out of the tabloid equation just yet.

Unconditionally

Although Katy Perry and John Mayer may have some unfinished business, she did date actor

Orlando Bloom for a bit after her break-up with Mayer. And, like most of her relationships

before it, the hook-up was filled with publicized drama.

The two had been together for just one month before she met his son with ex-wife Miranda

Kerr, Flynn, which seemed fast to outsiders. But if she thought they were serious, he reportedly

did not.

A source close to Orlando Bloom told People that he was "still keeping his options open"

throughout his entire year-long relationship with Perry. Another source told Radar Online

that "Orlando never changed his ways with hanging out with other women [during the relationship].

He would still continue to hang out with his actor buddies and there were always a ton

of sexy women around."

Bloom was even photographed in some compromising positions with other ladies before he and

Perry announced their breakup, proving, once again, that she sure knows how to pick 'em.

It's been a while since I've done a Q&A, so...

Normally I only do these on my birthday

but I decided maybe we should do one a little earlier.

It's actually supposed to celebrate my 50,000 subscriber milestone.

Loved it instantly. What made you want to start doing YouTube?

A long time ago, I was a makeup vlogger.

I had graduated from high school and after that, I was bored and depressed.

I needed something to do.

So when I firsted started watching YouTube regularly,

I somehow came across makeup tutorials and reviews.

I became intrigued by them and spent all night watching more.

I started thinking a bit and thought, "I'm liking this. I want to try it."

Later on, I thought, "I want to start a YouTube channel."

I didn't have school or a job.

I just needed something to do.

So I continued making makeup videos for about four years.

Eventually as time went on, I got bored of making these videos.

I wanted to stop doing makeup videos, but not YouTube altogether.

So I had to start thinking of what it was I could do.

Then I remembered, "Hey! I'm deaf!"

I watch a lot of YouTube that's uncaptioned content.

And so I wanted to talk about being deaf or hard of hearing,

captions, learning ASL, and learning about Deaf culture and the community.

I wanted to about accessibility since it was important to me.

For the record, I'm not making makeup videos anymore.

OK, in case you have no idea what Hello!Project is,

it is a Japanese music label, record label, right?

So, they have groups like Morning Musume

and C-ute and Berryz Koubou

and really the only group I mostly listened to from Hello!Project

was Morning Musume, and then there were some solo artists.

I did like some songs from C-ute and Berryz

and other subgroups that may have been made,

but my ride-and-die group was pretty much Morning Musume

whenever I listened to J-pop.

It took me years to get into AKB48 so...

FYI, AKB48 is not part of Hello!Project,

they're kind of rivals in that industry, but yeah.

That is something that I've always looked at and was interested in.

I want to go to the UK, I want to go to places like England and,

you know, Ireland, Scotland, but

that's a little expensive for my own pocket so...

And I'm sure those events could use accessibility talks.

I am more than happy - if any of these events want to invite me over,

I am more than happy to come on over.

minutes before were under water fidgety foo and a friend sinks deeper beneath

the waves the ship slowly sinks down too will they be able to escape alive and if

Somebody had a big jackrabbit, antelope, deer,

coyote tailed weird thing all put together,

and it was real big.

This one was sitting in an airport scheduled to be junked.

Take them back to the hangar and come up with the idea
