after another break and you know just just like just seven months back I made

Hey there, it's Ashley Perkins!

Welcome back, and if you're new here, welcome to the best place to build income, influence

and impact for your business or brand online.

I'm back with more of my best strategies for growing your business and brand using

Facebook.

So far, I've discussed ways you can improve your Facebook ads with video, strategies to

build your list using Facebook, and how to use Facebook Live to grow your business.

Today I'm going to share how to use Facebook Live to sell your products and services.

Make sure you stick around till the end because I've got a free email course that will help

you conquer your next launch or promotion using the Facebook platform.

Before you go Live, there's a few things you need to do:

First: Create a Facebook event to promote your broadcast

This can be done from your personal profile, business page, or group depending on where

the majority of your target audience exists.

Once you've updated the event with details about your broadcast, there's a few things

you can do to further spread the word like enlisting the help of friends and colleagues

to share the event link, sending the link to your email list, and cross-promoting the

event across your other networks.

You can also create a Facebook engagement retargeting ad to audiences who have spent

time watching your Live broadcasts before, and those who have engaged with the other

content on your page.

Second: Collect reviews and testimonials

People are far more likely to buy something recommended by a friend, or someone they see

themselves in.

Having client testimonials and product reviews handy is not only a great way to help you

promote the Live broadcast event, but also to debunk any objections you may face when

selling your product or service on a Live broadcast.

Third: Schedule your broadcast using BeLive

BeLive is a free tool that allows you to schedule your Facebook Live broadcasts in advance and

run them from your desktop inside Google Chrome.

A few other great features about BeLive are the ability to add titles to your broadcasts

so your audience knows what you're talking about, comment monitoring, and the fact that

you can host up to three other people remotely on the same Live broadcast.

One of my favourite things above all has to be the ability to schedule reminders for your

broadcast.

Anyone who has subscribed to your notifications will receive countdown updates on their Facebook

and Messenger apps!

Pro Tip: To increase attendance when you're promoting your Live broadcast, let your audience

know that you'll be offering an exclusive promo code to those who attend in real-time.

Now that you're ready to Go Live to sell your product or service, it's important

to remember to stay on track to avoid losing your audience.

I gave you a template to structure your Live broadcast last week which you can find here,

but there's a few additional things to keep in mind when you're selling on a Live broadcast…

Number One: Be as descriptive as possible in the post-caption of your video and include

a link to your product or sales page in your call to action.

Number Two: Introduce yourself, the product page or sales page link, and the topic of

discussion at the beginning, middle, and just before the end of your broadcast.

Number Three: Welcome questions and engagement throughout.

(i.e. asking for reactions or comments) Number Four: Share strategies and tips related

to your product or service to give your audience a better idea as to what they could achieve

if they had your product or service.

(it also makes selling more natural when you're providing further value for free)

Number Five: Share the client testimonials or product reviews you collected before the

Live broadcast to help break down objections from your audience.

You can even go one step further and invite a client or customer on the broadcast with

you to share their thoughts and results.

Pro Tip: To increase viewership during your Live broadcast, save your promotional code

until the end.

Why Opposites Attract - Essentials For Writing a Romantic Comedy by Pamela Jaye Smith - Duration: 6:39.

Film Courage: In a romantic comedy it seems like each character, each partner of this

"dance" is missing something in their lives.

And they see (at some point) this other person will basically cure them of this missing piece.

As viewers, why do we resonate with this them and why is it so common in romantic comedies?

Pamela Jaye Smith: There is another wonderful greek myth that says that originally humans

were both male and female together.

And we had four legs and four arms and two heads and we were joined.

But with all those limbs, humans were able to start climbing up Mount Olympus and were

able to start challenging the gods.

And God said "Oh….this will never do!" and so they tore humans apart.

And male and female were separated.

And since then it is the nature of our yearning to try to reunite into the one form.

So that is how a mythology set it up.

What we are trying to do in romance is find that missing part of ourselves.

What I think is interesting is that some people are trying to find that thing that will compliment

them because they don't have it.

And then there are those instances where somebody says "Oh you've got that so much more

than I do.

I'm going to look a whole lot better than you by comparison.

If I'm cynical but you're more cynical, that's going to make me look like the good

guy!"

So some of those romantic comedies have that sort of mechanism in it.

But I think basically what most of us are looking for in our romantic situations is

a completion.

What we see in our romantic relationships is often said to be a reflection of our relationship

with our higher spiritual selves or with the cosmos that we connect to life through each

other.

That we connect to the one life by relating closely to one person.

And so the alchemy of love can actually, truly lift us up.

And that this is what a lot of us are looking for, even if we're not conscious of it.

But we are looking for that bliss, that nirvana within our love relationships.

And you may have heard some version of this where people say "We kissed and the world

disappeared and we became Gods."

And you go "Oh, yes!

Please!

That's wonderful."

One of my favorite authors Lawrence Durrell (the British author) of The Alexandria Quartet,

which is all about love.

And one of his characters makes a note and says "In loving Justine I was loving all

women because she stood for the female."

And so I think that is what we do, too.

Even if we don't realize it and we go "I love you!" we are also loving the essence

of love.

Film Courage: Why so often do opposites attract?

Why is it so often their is a play between the hero worshipper or the shy admirer?

And the Type A sort of…I mean I'm thinking of the movie JERRY MAGUIRE.

Pamela Jaye Smith: Yes!

Film Courage: Which film I absolutely love.

But this is a common scenario.

Whether one is the male or one is the female.

You can switch roles as to who is the hero worshipper.

Why do we as viewers love this scenario so much?

Pamela Jaye Smith: I think we have to go back to evolutionary biology and evolutionary psychology

to truly answer that.

In small groups of people, you do not want to have too much interbreeding because it's

not healthy.

So you need to stir up the gene pool.

And so there's a phrase 'The Brother or the Other.'

You're going to get a better immune system and offspring if you're not mating with

your relatives (if you go for the other, that which is different).

So you take that on up to modern times and we're still being influenced by that.

We still see the other.

The person who is different from us as more of a potential mate.

A lot of that is just our biology psychology from 200,000 years still working on us.

But I also think it is part of the wonderful magnetism of passion and of sex.

Regardless of what gender the body is, to have the positive pole and the negative pole,

that's when you get magnetism.

If you get two positive poles together, what happens?

Nothing!

They repel each other.

But you get positive and negative together and then you get sparks.

You get the magnetic pull.

So I think that part of that opposites attract is built into human nature.

That is trying to produce the best offspring.

And part of it is also just our sense of adventure.

Film Courage: Let's take the (1976) movie ANNIE HALL.

So you have Woody Allen's character (Alvy Singer) who is self-effacing, he is down on

himself and then you have Diane Keaton who is a breath of fresh air.

She's in a great mood.

She's very open to life.

Why does this dynamic work?

Pamela Jaye Smith: Well I would counter and say it didn't actually work because they

broke up.

And she, in spite of her seeming self-confidence, also had some problems with her own self-worth

and what she wanted and what she thought she should want.

But yes.

On the surface they are opposites.

And they attract and it's fun and that is one of the most fun parts about that romantic

comedy.

But if you look at it again, I think you'll see that they are a whole lot more alike at

heart, than they are different.

I was surprised at that when I went back and watched it.

Ball Park Figures 2017 Explainer - Duration: 2:11.

Every year each college in the NCAA files financial reports and we

chose to focus on the eight schools in Texas that are public and are in the FBS.

From there we look at how schools are spending and earning money in their

biggest money-making sports. What we found was that Texas A&M for the last two years —

for the two years that we've been doing this — is the kind of the king

moneymaker in the state, but that's somewhat of a temporary perch. A&M has

been raising a lot of money for the $485 million dollar

renovation of their football stadium. Once that fundraising is done they'll

probably fall back behind the usual king of college sports money, the University of Texas.

Another thing that was kind of interesting that we found is that UT and

Texas A&M are the only two schools that are in the green as far as their

athletic departments go. The rest, they're all in the red. One of the things that

this really highlights is how much the less prominent programs in the state

are trying to play catch-up with the bigger schools. A lot of times when people talk

about money in college sports they look at the five million dollars that UT or A&M

are paying their football coaches and see that as an outrageous number.

It turns out UT and A&M can afford that. Texas State brought in about nine million

dollars in sports revenue last year, spent you know somewhere around $30 million.

Another thing that I think a lot of people assume is that football is a

huge earner but mostly a huge spender, when that's not always the case.

A lot of the smaller sports kind of ride on the profits that football makes to keep

their sports afloat. That's right, if it weren't for football all these

other sports, the volleyball, the men's and women's tennis,

the baseball, all things like that probably would not be able to operate on

the campus. So these are just some of the stats that we've highlighted. You can go
