episode is a special one for you because we have our friend Chronicle living

description below now let's talk about why time management can be such a
powerful tool for building a better self!
Chronicle Living (Always Something To Improve)
In life we have many things we manage: Our health, our wealth, our relationships,
our careers but what most people forget to realize is time is the only factor that
completely controls our lives whenever we are faced with the decision we have
to make sure we have enough time and with 24 hours in a day it can be hard to
get much done by practicing good time management skills you'll start to have a
much more balanced lifestyle that this allows you to be more productive in your
professional and personal life. In time the development of these skills will
help you find a new form of appreciation for how long you spend your own time
providing you with more powerful motivation to do what you truly enjoy. (Animation ends)
Focusing more on time management has been a personal struggle for me has this
ever happened to you before you walk into a room but you just can't
put a finger on why exactly you were in that room this happens to me a lot where
I'll enter a room and I'll ask myself why did I come in here so it's amazing
that my mind is so busy that it subconsciously sends me to another room
such as a kitchen and from the time it takes me to walk from a living room to
the kitchen I already forgot what I wanted to do because I'm so busy
focusing on something else our brains are amazing but they can only
do so much so this is why time management is such a powerful tool.
To start using time management in your life you have to get rid of the biggest misconception.
I don't have time just by thinking this you will make yourself
believe you have less time. Everybody has the same amount of time in a day so
why not optimize it. A helpful test that you could perform is write a daily log
of what you do in a day make sure to be honest with yourself and then review it
this is a great way to get a better understanding of your daily time use
maybe you could spend less time on your phone in the morning and
some more time alone in the morning preparing yourself for the day
setting detailed goals helps your brain prioritize the importance of tasks just
by setting detailed instructions that the task would be seen as more favorable
to your brain make sure when you're planning to leave extra time for
completion of each task for unseen issues estimating the completion of a
task can be difficult but it is a powerful one to develop once you have
developed your goals you can start to categorize them in four different ways
each of your goals or tasks can get assigned either important or not and be
completed now or later. This is from the book seven Habits of Highly successful People
for example you might have a report due at work tomorrow
or you need to go to a doctor's appointment at 10 a.m.
these will be important now something like watching the new Star Wars movie
would not be important and it would be considered later once you do this you
can really focus on what are you the necessary tasks for the day a great tip
is to spend the first five minutes and the last five minutes of your day
planning doing this creates a mental image of your day it's kind of the same
as watching a movie trailer before you go and see the movie now you have an
idea of the movie and your brain knows what to expect you can more easily take
on the day and by doing this you can start to think of outcomes that you want from your day.
Thoughts conversations and actions, these are the three things that
you spend all of your time on. Create a log and divide your time up into these
three categories then take the time to analyze these three categories and ask
yourself some questions if you find you're spending most of your time on
your, Thoughts ask yourself am I getting enough done in a day? If you're spending
most of your time on conversations ask yourself are these conversations adding value to my life?
and if you're spending most of your time on actions ask
yourself is this an efficient use of my time? inside your time management routine
make sure that you leave time for break I like to take two
different types of breaks a small break where I like to get up and just remove
my thoughts from the work that I'm doing and longer breaks or I like to do
activities such as go for a walk. Since starting to take these breaks I notice a
big difference not only in my productivity but also my mood another
great technique to use is something called the Pomodoro Technique this is
where you work for 25 minutes and you take a five-minute break
lastly make sure to talk to others and share your ideas and experiences with
time management so you can gain knowledge from them and they can gain
knowledge from you and then together you can both save time. Today we covered time
management we talked about my struggles with time management and how to build a
positive time management habit and lastly how to implement time management
into your life in the most productive way. Question of the week is... what is that
one habit or trick that you use to better manage your time let me know in
the comments below so we can all better ourselves I love hearing from you guys!
