The Real Reason I Teach English Lessons on YouTube! | English Listening Lesson - Duration: 10:51.

Hi! This is Greg from OnlineLanguageAcademy.com and in this video I want to

speak to you about the real reason why I teach English on YouTube.

So, in order to explain why I teach English with free lessons on YouTube

I need to explain a little bit about my past and we're going to go back to 2010

which is when I started my own business. In 2010 my wife and I moved from the

North West area of Spain to a very small town in rural Galicia and really I

remember that was the year that I wanted to start business and I remember

thinking this could go horribly wrong because I thought, are there many people in

such a small town in the middle of Galicia who actually need English?

I wasn't sure and so I went with the idea of teaching privately with starting

my own physical academy there, but I also had a plan B, a back-up plan, and that was

to create a website and to offer classes via Skype, and this was just really a

little extra it was.. OK, if nobody wants to learn English privately there

or if no companies there want to hire me as an English teacher, then at least I

have some money coming in, something from the classes via Skype. And OK, for the

first two years when I lived there it went alright, I really enjoyed teaching via

Skype, in the morning usually, and teaching in the academy, in my physical

academy, in the evening. So the classes via Skype just filled my schedule and it

was fun - I could teach people in Madrid

or in other countries. I had a student in Germany, I had a student in Abu Dhabi,

so it was very good - very cool to do that. However, after two years of living

in this small town, me and my wife we were so happy there

we really were, I mean the business was going very well, lots of people there

wanted to learn English and I had a growing number of students on Skype

as well, but my wife got another job in a different place and we had to leave

again. So, I was gutted! Again! I was... I didn't really want to move again now

everything was settled but we did. That was the future, that was the

logical thing to do for us, so we moved. And then I had a decision to make:

did I go to the city again and create an academy - a physical academy - or did I put

all my faith into online teaching. It was a difficult decision to make but in the

end I thought, I'm going to try the online teaching! I'll try for one year

and if it completely fails then, OK, I tried and I'll try then later to build

yeah, to build, to set up a business in a physical - a bricks-and-mortar - a

physical academy. So the first year was tough. It is, I think, it's always tough

the first year in any business, but yeah, after getting a little bit

demoralized after a first few months, things started to get better and better

and it was a hard year, it was, a lot of work, a lot of work and not a lot of

return, but I had... I saw enough there that made me believe that this can

go places. This is what I want to do. I loved working from home. I loved the

flexibility and loved having students from all over the place,

and it was a cool business to run! I really enjoyed it, so I stuck with it, I

stuck with it, I continued to build the online academy and guess what... after

another year my wife got another job so we had to move house again but it

didn't affect me at all this time because everything was online, everything!

I could take my computer to any place in the world with internet connection and

continue my business, continue growing my business and continue teaching the same

students online... and that's what I did! So after 2 years we had a baby and again

things completely changed. Now, daycare - that's where you leave your child with

someone else during the day while you're working - it's very expensive and really,

working from home I really thought, well, I can be with the

baby, you know, you can have two decisions, what do I do? Either spend a lot of money

paying someone else to look after my baby (our baby), or look after the baby

myself? So, we decided that, yeah, if I wanted to then I would look after the

baby and that's what I decided to do, and that's what I do! And it's difficult at

times but I treasure every minute I have with my little baby. It's the right

decision and I'm happy I made that decision. One sacrifice of many

sacrifices, but one big sacrifice was that if I'm at home all day with my baby

I can't teach via Skype, I can't commit certain hours every day so it's very

difficult for me to continue offering classes via Skype personally. And some

people say to me, 'hey this is your business but where are you? Don't you

teach the classes via Skype?' Well, I used to. At the beginning I was the only

teacher and it grew and grew and grew. Now we have many teachers selected by me,

They're all super qualified, fun, friendly, natives and they are a great great

selection of teachers and I love working with them! But yes,

sadly at the moment I cannot personally teach via Skype with Online Language

Academy. I still manage the business, I still run the business and market the

business and I love doing all that! But I don't teach. Instead I teach via

YouTube! Why? Because I love teaching! I don't like the fact that I have to stop

doing what I love just because I spend most of the hours of the day with my

baby! I can do better than before - before I had a limited number of

students who could have classes with me. Now I can teach all my students, all the

students of Online Language Academy and anybody else on YouTube or Facebook

with these free video lessons. So I can teach more students, I can also build up

a really useful resource for our students of grammar, phrasal verbs... people

can go back to old videos and learn and learn and learn. I always say to anybody

on my mailing list, 'if you have a question just let me know!' If YOU have a

question, let me know in the comments. If I can answer it with a video I will! If

I've already done a video I'll send you the link

and you can watch and learn from me. The most important thing, personally, is that

I can do this when I want. At the moment it's Saturday mornings. I

generally record 3 or 4 videos every Saturday which I publish the

next week. But my baby is always changing and and my life is always changing so

sometimes, earlier in the year for example, I used to record one video every

day. Whatever works best, but I can adapt and I can do it to whatever suits me

and my family and my family life! At the moment, at the time of recording I have

750 subscribers on YouTube. It was my goal in my first year of

SCIENCE UNRAVELS THE MYSTERY OF EVERYDAY TELEPATHY

There is a rift between the world as we see it and the world as it really is.

Science and spirit are our primary tools for closing this gap in our understanding, and

at the edge of this rift has always been psychic phenomenon like telepathy, premonition and

the familiar sixth sense.

Many people experience these phenomenon with regularity, yet they escape scientific explanation,

even though a large and historically deep body of experiential and anecdotal evidence

exists.

This library of evidence prevents dismissal of the psychic as either a figment of the

imagination or the existence of an archaic belief system that still has imprints on the

mind.

This evidence implores to investigate further rather than reject.

Some examples of psychic phenomenon are so common that they don�t even really stand

out as having significance in our day-to-day to lives, as they are just seamlessly woven

into reality.

No one demands a scientific explanation.

We�ve all experienced them before.

The curious moment when a friend or loved one pops into your mind seconds before the

phone rings, with them on the other line.

You suddenly think of someone you haven�t seen in ages and a few minutes later that

person texts you.

These are the everyday tell-tale signs that the human psyche is always one step ahead

of the human mind.

Unexplainable, perhaps, but why is it that mental telepathy seems to be so commonly connected

communication?

Is it the brain acting as a radio transmitter, sending and receiving information at immeasurable

speeds, or is it something more akin to quantum entanglement?

The Scientific Approach

To determine whether or not the telepathic or pre-cognitive experiences as these were

occurring by chance or by some deliberate act of nature, author and biologist Dr. Rupert

Sheldrake conducted an experiment which goes a long way in answering this question.

He set up an experiment which had a person receiving a phone call guess who was calling

before answering.

The subject knew the caller had to be one of four potential callers, giving the experiment

a hit rate for chance of 25%, although in reality this phenomena occurs from a much

broader base of callers.

Looking at the statistical result, the general sample indicated there was about 44% chance

of correctly guessing the caller, a number which is much higher than what can be accounted

for by mere chance.

More interestingly, the percentage rose even higher when the pool of callers was narrowed

down to people who had closer social or emotional bonds with the subjects, such as close friends

or extended family members.

Brain Waves or Quantum Entanglement?

The human brain and radios both use the same form of electromagnetic radiation to communicate

beyond their physical boundaries.

This type of radiation is energy transmitted at the speed of light in waves which can vary

in strength, or volume, and in wavelength, the length of the cycle of the wave measured

against time.

Radios use much higher frequencies of energy than the human brain does, yet the concept

is the same.

�Radio waves, which include radio and other wireless transmission signals, as well as

other natural signals in the same frequency, peak and trough at between 50 and 1000 megahertz�that�s

between 50 million and one billion oscillations per second.

The human brain also emits waves, like when a person focuses her attention or remembers

something.

This activity fires thousands of neurons simultaneously at the same frequency generating a wave�but

at a rate closer to 10 to 100 cycles per second.� [Source]

Electromagnetic radiation emitted by the billions of neurons within the human brain is strong

enough, and organized enough to be picked up and interpreted in patterns by EEG technology,

which uses sensors that touch the scalp and relay messages to a computer.

Computer Simulated Paranormal Experiences

Much like the human eye can only see light within a certain range of the total range

of all light, the human brain utilizes only a certain narrow range of electromagnetic

energy out of the total possible spectrum of signals being carried in and around our

environment.

The work of Dr. Michael Persinger is aimed at proving that paranormal encounters are

illusions created by the brain itself, a sort of temporary broadening of the ability to

process electromagnetic energy.

The science of this is fascinating, as technology is allowing us to influence the brain in subtle,

deliberate ways which trigger specific chemical reactions that change our perception of reality.

We now can literally trigger paranormal experiences in the science lab.

The Quantum Connection

Every day on planet earth billions of phone calls, texts and emails are sent all over

the globe, representing a dramatic increase in the amount of communication taking place

between human beings.

Could it be that this increase is fueling a shift towards more accessible psychic experiences?

Is the precognitive phenomenon of communication related telepathy just an illusion, or can

the brain can be dialed into an atypical frequency that allows it to pick up information that

is not readily available to the five senses in our ordinary state of consciousness?

The trouble with quantifying these experiences is that it reduces their meaning and their

significance to the realm of data and predictive science, often ignoring or devaluing the lasting

effects that even short psychic or telepathic experiences can have on a person�s worldview

and on their personal development.

Paranormal experiences have the power to push an experiencer through to a different level

of consciousness than before, which can totally alter their psychological landscape for the

Psychology is unquantifiable, and the value of understanding our psychic abilities is

To many, however, psychic experiences, such as those that happen with the sixth sense,

or those that can occur under the influence of psychedelic drugs, with certain meditation

practices or even technologically induced, are all too often deemed insignificant in

relation to the material experiences that bind us to our shared reality.

when I was a little girl growing up on

our family farm in Maryland, I loved

playing by the big pond and our pasture,

but I always wondered where the water

came from. My daddy explained that the

pond was fed from an underground spring.

A source from deep down in the earth.

UFO Sightings Have OFFICIALLY Tripled � The TRUTH Is Coming

In just America alone, reported UFO sightings have now officially TRIPLED, since 2001.

It appears that the ET�s are starting to perhaps force their very own disclosure!

These incredible statistics are compiled in a new book written using the databases of

two of the world�s biggest organisations dedicated to logging UFO and alien reportings

and encounters across the planet.

�UFO Sightings Desk Reference,� written by Cheryl Costa, 65, and wife, Linda Miller

Costa, 62, from Syracuse, New York, used 121,036 eyewitness accounts across the states recorded

separately by the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC)

between 2001 and 2015 to chart the increase.

These facts can no longer be ignored or dismissed by the Elite on this planet.

The study looks at the timing and location of incidents and types of UFOs seen which

include flying circles, spheres, triangles, discs, ovals, and cigars � mapping out what

is really being seen across the world.

According to Cheryl, a former �military� technician and aerospace analyst, and Linda,

a librarian at Le Moyne College and a former librarian at the National Academy of Sciences,

�NASA� and the Environmental Protection Agency, MUFON and NUFORC decided most sightings

were explainable, but a small amount can still not be explained.

But, just remember where they worked and why they may suggest that many of these can apparently

�be explained� even though there is NO evidence on these so-called explanations.

The key findings from the book were that overall numbers of UFO sightings more than tripled

by 2015, from their average levels in 2001.

It wasn�t that long ago that us guys at U.I.P confirmed that UFO sightings have doubled

(click HERE for more on this).

As U.I.P had previously reported, it appears that back in June 2015 there was yet again

another HUGE spike in UFO sightings being reported

Could it be that the next report from 2015 and onwards, show yet again another dramatic

increase in UFO sightings?!

The book shows that US sightings grew from 3,479 reports in 2001 to 11,868 in 2015.

� MUFON and NUFORC say just a fraction of all sightings make their way to them � so

there are significantly more that have NOT been included in this report.

As many of us will already know, there is a growing �disclosure� movement in the

US that believes that intelligent aliens visit Earth, and the government is not only aware

of this, but covers it up!

For example check out Obama�s response when he was in power, after he was questioned about

ET�s:

MUFON and NUFORC say just a fraction of all sightings make their way to them � so there

are significantly more, but sadly many dont know who to report to, and sadly many have

also lost faith in these organisations after very little feedback.

Disclosure activists, such as Steve Bassett, who runs the Paradigm Research Group (PRG)

campaign for an end to this so-called truth embargo.

Mr Bassett believes the fact there are so many more sightings now means the truth will

soon come out as the White House will no longer be able to keep a lid on it.

It is also interesting to note how much the media and world scientists are now taking

UFOLOGY and ET�s very seriously and not a week goes by without some mention about

these two areas.

Mr Bassett went on to say:

�With this compendium, Cheryl and Linda Costa have reminded the public and the media

the extraterrestrial phenomenon continues unabated.�

Cheryl said the pair write the book because:

�We wanted to do our bit for disclosure

�It�s something the government should have been doing.

�We�re doing scientific research.

What�s crazy is not being willing to look at research.�

Their research found July is the busiest month for UFO sightings, but possibly because more

people are outside and getting an opportunity to notice more of what is going on in the

skies above them?!

There was a strange spike in sightings in Texas in 2008, and another in New Mexico in

September 2015.

Possible UFO hot-spot areas around the planet?

The pair say they have seen UFOs themselves, but draw no firm conclusions from studying

the data.

Linda said:

�We don�t know, but all these people are seeing these things.�

U.I.P SUMMARY:

Well, it does not seem that long ago that U.I.P was reporting that UFO sightings have

doubled, but a year later down the line they have now trebled � and lets not forget that

these stats were only taken from the United States, just imagine what the world wide stats

would look like (hence why we ask all of you to submit our sighting reports to our website).

A possible reason for such a dramatic increase in UFO sightings is possibly down to the fact

that the rise in phone and digital cameras, is responsible for more alleged UFO pictures

and videos emerging, and that sharing on social media, makes the subject more well known.

Ufology is now huge area of interest and it almost feels like people are awakening and

now taking a strong interest in what is going on in the skies above them.

Perhaps the ET�s are now pushing for their own disclosure.

But if so, then what is to come next?

It definitely does feel like the drip feeding of disclosure is intensifying!

Seek the Truth in your relationships

Seek the Truth in how you treat people

Seek the Truth in the visible things

The Gospel isn't just a message of Salvation

The Gospel is renewal of mind

But only those willing to find it will find it

Because the Kingdom of God is taken by effort, and the effortless take hold of it

This will cost you something, mate

This will cost you to get your act together

This will cost you something, it will cost you to face your own hypocrisy

This will be hurtful

But that's part of the pursuit of the Truth

But be faithful to the Truth

Be faithful to the Truth in every situation

Be faithful to the Truth with yourself

With your sins, I'm not telling you to expose them all

I'm telling you to confront your own sins

In yourself, because they represent lies

Because they lie against what you are in Christ

Go, go after the Truth, mate

Give yourself to this Truth

Live for it

Love it

Desire it

Wake up thinking about it, and go to bed dreaming about it

This will make all the difference in your life, mate

Let's live this to the full

It says that spinners are stress relievers.

But then I ask myself

Why the f**k children putting them in they'r mouth

Or get serious injuries?

Others replace rounded edges with sharp razors

And are cutting themselves.

This is a new toy made for suiciders.

Because they think that they are worthless pieces of s**t.

But not for normal people that needs a stress relief.

If you want to get rid of negative emotions

Go to the gym.

Spinners are for pu**ies.

Before in the streets people was getting robbed for they'r phones and wallets.

Now, they rob for Vape sticks and spinners.

Before, the best stress reliever was weed.

Now, they spin spinners.

If you have a spinner

Get rid of that s**t.

Dont be loh jibanij.

Go to the gym and f**k girls with your BMW 5.

If you look like a bag of trash

With spinner tricks you will not f**k any girls.

Training the Next Generation of Planetary Scientists - Duration: 3:07.

The Planetary Science Winter School is a program for

early career scientists and postdocs like myself to come

together for the first time and see how a mission goes from just

a science concept to something that could

actually fly in space one day.

The Winter School is a great hands-on experience, because it

gives us the ability to actually get involved with the design of

a real mission that might actually fly some day.

We actually are trying to develop an instrument concept

for a client, and we figure out, "Is it feasible?

How much does it cost?

How much does it weigh?"

And so we have things like volume, mass, and power to deal

with for this entire week.

My role in the Planetary Science Winter School was working with

the thermal systems leads.

We looked at our instrument and we have to determine how to

handle things related to temperature stability,

gradients, but also the environment that you're in.

My role was flight software and electrical.

I got to team up with two mentors in my case so I think

I'm double lucky.

I had no idea, since I'm a scientist I've never really done

anything on the electrical back end of something scientific, so

this is a really great opportunity for me to see

everything that goes on in design.

My role in the Winter School was basically figuring out, "What is

the design of the detector that we want?"

We learned on the first day of the study that there was going

to be a second type of detector, and so what I was fascinated by

was just watching people roll with that new information.

So there's a lot of organized chaos that comes together, where

people sort of don't really know what they're doing at first.

I think that's something you see in science in general, as you

start to do more work you realize

how much goes into things.

We just sort of run around talking to each other, saying,

"I have a problem with this.

How do we solve this?"

And together we figure it out.

The engineering part of a mission really in some ways is

the controlling part of what type of science you get to do,

and it's incredibly important for scientists

to understand that.

Now I've seen what it takes to develop these instruments from

the engineering side, and so in the future when I come back on

the customer side where I have an instrument that I want to

have built by the IDL lab, I'll understand what information the

engineering team needs in order to do that effectively.

So I think one of the next steps in my career, in the next five

or ten years, is to actually become an instrument scientist.

The only way to really start that process of learning how to

do those things is something like this, an opportunity like

the Planetary Science Winter School.

When you're thinking about scientific topics, it's really

thinking in terms of angels on pinheads, where you have this

concept that's very high-level and that isn't necessarily

well-formulated in terms of a plan to get data.

And I think the Planetary Science Winter School helps you

take the science that's in your mind and try to apply it to the

real world, to something that's more tangible.
