..visibility in the water. I use a Pig Shad in the color Okoboji Perch.
What's good with this Pig Shad is that is has a wide profile.
It also has dark colors and you want that when night fishing due to the silhouette.
I use the Pig Shad as the number one lure.
Another lure I've had good results on during the night is Flatnose in the color Doris.
This one has also dark colors and gives a good silhouette in the water.
When fishing during the night, I usually stick with two lures.
I've chosen the Pig Shad due to its wide profile and the..
..Flatnose because it's smaller.
You can vary and see if they want bigger or smaller lures.
That way, you can try different things.
We have been casting really much and haven't had a single contact yet.

It's a deep hole with much baitfish. We've never fished here with AutoChart Live.
In order to get a good depth map and locate the deep hole..
..I will turn on AutoChart Live and then we will drive around here.

..be able to concentrate the hours on the right spot.
I will start with a Fatnose with a 25 gram Flexhead and 10 grams of led in front.
It's deep water and the big ones are swimming close to the bottom.
Then just cast and retrieve slowly and we'll see if we can catch a big one.

This is a 7-8 kg fish and that is how you do it.
It's really fun to catch a meter fish after many hours without a single contact.
All of a sudden, a better fish takes the lure.
No smaller fish at all, it's a very good average size on the pikes.

The sun is starting to rise and the clock is 4.50 am and we have been fishing..
..the whole night. From nowhere, we catch a fish like this.
It was 110 cm long and since it's a summer pike, we want to release..
..it as soon as possible. I would guess it weighs around 8 kg.
Time to release it and they are so strong and it's really fun to fish.
It's important when releasing them to not let go before they swim away.
It should not be any problem at all with this pike.
It's fun when they are biting and you get rewarded after fishing..
