what I really like about their outfits is that they're matching but not too

matchy just the right amount of matching because what happens is when that the

colors are off it affects the eye by shifting in a way that you can see in a

after I smoke this bong bowl.

Hog right here. This is from

Eugreen. I just picked up an ounce of this yesterday.

It was one of their hundred dollar ounces.

It looks like it was an outdoor grow but

I can't really be sure.

It's just a little bit more on the leafy side

with, uh, less compact nugs,

which, to me, tends to be

a sign of an outdoor grown weed.

I'm not picky about it. It's a $100 ounce.

So.. Let's.. Smoke.. This..

Okay,

so now it's time

for some updates.

This might be a little ramble-y.

I'm going to try and kind of go

in some sort of an order that makes sense though.

The last update that I gave you all,

well, that was that I had a job.

I'm.. I.. I don't have a job anymore.

But that's not really.. ugh.

I'm already rambling. That's not a good place to start.

Okay, back track.

This whole year

I have felt like my mental health was doing better

and for that reason I haven't really been talking

about it or focusing on it that much.

That's an unhealthy habit that I have,

when I feel like I'm doing "okay"

then I kind of ignore and stop

treatment or upkeep of my

own mental well being.

And so then, when I get out of balance

again it happens quickly or unexpectedly,

which is what happened to me recently.

So, also, throughout this year I've had a number of

family members who have had

health concerns. I'm not going to list

which family member had which health concerns

because my family is

more on the private side,

and that's why I don't talk about them that much.

But I will say

which family members have had some sort of issues

this year, uh, and that would be

my younger brother, my stepmom,

my grandma, my grandpa - those ones

are on my mom's side - and then

my great grandma on my father's side.

So, those are five people.

My great grandma, she is probably

going to be passing away soon.

She's, um, I believe 94 or 95,

so she's lived quite a long life.

That has just been hard on the family because

there's nobody with the finances to put

her in a care service, so she's been

passed between different family members who can

take care of her, including my grandparents,

which has been a strain on them.

Then, um,

among the other four

the health problems have ranged

from depression related

health side effects,

heart problems, multiple strokes,

a sudden, unexpected palsy,

ankle replacement surgery

with complications.

Just, all sorts of things.

All sorts of things happening to my family.

And it seems like it's almost each month

something new will happen and,

as someone who has anxiety, I stress about that.

I know that there's not anything

that I can do about it,

so I try to let it go,

kind of let it be water off my back,

help as I can,

be there in a support way.

But it builds up.

So, that's kind of the pretext

of the past week, I guess.

It's that, I've been ignoring my mental health

and not keeping up on any of my

counseling or medication or anything like that,

and then have had a number of things happen

with my family that have been stressful to me.

So then I got this job

at a Halloween store.

Within 4 days of working there

they offered me a promotion

to Store Assistant Manager,

which I accepted

because I thought it was an honor, they needed

me to be that.. they needed to fill the position,

the store was only going to be around for a couple months

so I figured I could handle that.

They quickly shifted me from part-time

to putting my schedule to a full-time work

schedule where I'd be working 6 days a week.

And I started realizing

over the next couple days

the full scope of the responsibilities.

Because this store is just a seasonal Halloween

store, the way that it's set up

in their management there is

not a lot of levels. There's general

store workers, then there's the store

assistant managers, then there's the

store manager, and then there's the store owner,

and that's it.

And so the amount of responsibility

that the assistant manager has is a lot,

and I didn't really take that into account

when I accepted the position.

And so I found that the amount of added

responsi- I.. Ugh..

I started having panic attacks

each night when I would come home from work,

well into the night.

It would cause me to not be able to sleep.

And then again when I would wake up in the morning.

But something new happened

with these panic attacks.

For several days straight

every time that I would work myself into one of these panic attacks

I would vomit or throw-up.

Which is gross. But that's just what was happening

to my body.

It wasn't healthy. I wasn't able

to keep down food. I didn't have an appetite,

like, the whole entire time that I was home.

I wasn't able to sleep.

I just took too much onto myself

too quickly after not doing a lot

and after not taking care of myself.

So, that's my mistake,

but I also need to focus on my own health too.

So, I stepped away from that job.

On Monday I'm going to be calling my counselor

and setting up an appointment

to go talk to her, even though I'm not

sure if she's exactly the person I want to be

seeing still.

I know I definitely don't want to go back

to that same medication doctor,

so, I'm going to try to transfer

to somebody else within the same building,

see if they have anybody else available to see me.

I'll also probably figure that out

next week since it's late

on a Friday, er no, late on a Saturday

as I'm filming this, so, it's impossible for me to do it now.

Ummmm.

Yeah.

Those, I guess, are kind of my updates.

My mental health update,

my "I don't have a job anymore" update.

I've been working on getting my house in order,

cleaning up everything.

I have a few more things that I need to go do

today in terms of errands.

Just in that brief span of time

that I was working I really

ended up not being able to keep up on my

house chores either.

Yeah, I'm not great at multi-tasking

when I have a job or when I have

to go out and give my energy

to people out in the outside world

and do human interaction and that sort of thing.

Today, a couple of the errands I need to run:

I think I'm going to go to Ross Dress For Less.

I don't need any sort of clothes or any

thing but there are a couple homeware sort of goods

that I need, that I'm going to check and see

if they have discounted there first

before I buy them full price somewhere else.

And then I'm also going to go to Hobby Lobby

even though I really, really don't

support their business practices.

They're the only craft store

near me. Otherwise I would have to

bus or bike at least

like 20 - 25 minutes to get to any other craft store

and also pay $3.50 for a bus pass.

So, I'm not going to be doing that

but I need to pick up a couple things from the craft store

because I'm trying to get back

into all the artistic pursuits that I have.

I have been talking to some

photographers to schedule

some modeling shoots.

I have been talking to some models

to schedule some photography shoots.

I have been working on my online portfolios

and profiles

for my photography and my modeling,

which, by the way, are linked down

in the description box,

as well as all my social media.

And then aside from that, some of

of the other things that I'm really interested in..

I really like..

I don't want to say collaging

necessarily, but kind of collaging.

Um, re-purposing..

I like to, like, re-purpose, cut up

magazines, um, glue them back together

in interesting ways,

draw on them, so..

Maybe I'll

go grab one in a second to show you

what I'm talking about or

maybe I'll just do a, kind of, video

on it, I don't know.

I'm thinking about doing more

sorts of arts focused videos

since I'm trying to get more into art.

In addition to that sort of stuff

I also like working with fabric, sewing.

I really want to get a sewing machine but I can't afford one.

So right now I'm just stuck with having

to hand sew things which is

a pain in the butt and so I don't

really sew all that much.

But I have, like, all the supplies,

aside from the machine.

And so, I should really just try and

work on my hand sewing since

I have the time now.

And I also, actually, got some

polymer clay because I thought that I

wanted to start trying to do some polymer clay scultping

but then when I started I

realized that the clay that I got was too

hard and I needed to get a clay softener,

which I don't have right now, so..

I'll have to maybe pick that up at the craft store. We'll see.

Yeah.

I, uh, think that those are all the updates I have.

My brain just went blank there for a second.

I didn't write down a list of all the talking

points I had or all the things I wanted to

remember to say to you guys

so, I'm just running off the top of my head here.

I think that that's it

Things You Only Notice In Moana As An Adult - Duration: 5:43.

Moana is a heartwarming tale rooted in Polynesian culture.

But while your kids giggle at the silly antics of a mentally unstable chicken, you may notice

a few things that can only be caught through the jaded eyes of adulthood.

But here's your warning: spoilers abound.

No need to thank us.

"You're welcome!"

Unsafe conditions

Moana's dad sings an entire song about not going out past the reef, but early in the

movie we see that there really is zero water safety going on when she's in diapers.

We know it's hard to watch kids at all times, but while Moana's father is chastising his

own mother for scaring the toddlers with legends about "inescapable death," Moana toddles out

to sea.

If that were real life, the story would be splashed on social media, Moana's dad would

be in jail, and the mommy shamers would be out in full force.

Fortunately the ocean has human characteristics and good intentions when it tempts the toddler

out to sea with a bunch of shells.

That's a lucky break.

Superhuman strength

It's easy to take physical strength for granted in animated characters because we've seen

Wile E. Coyote walk away from an anvil injury to survive another day.

But we couldn't help but notice that Moana had some seriously strong muscles.

In seemingly just a few minutes, she scales a mountain to get to the Realm of Monsters.

She also shimmies up to the roof of a hut for a quick repair, and she regularly makes

treks to the top of Motunui without breaking a sweat.

The way that Moana's people harvest their produce is by scaling huge palm trees.

They clearly never miss leg day.

Grandma will have you in tears

As an adult, the crazy grandma may become your favorite character because she's a strong

woman with a great sense of humor.

While swaying in the water, Gramma Tala dips her hand down into the sea to graze the backs

of the circling rays, and she tells Moana,

"When I die, I'm going to come back as one of these.

Or I chose the wrong tattoo."

The grandmother doesn't live much longer after that, and as Moana sets out on her greatest

adventure, a light explodes and a beautiful glowing ray glides swiftly under her boat

and out to sea, jumping majestically into the air.

Just try watching this movie in its entirety — including the scene where Gramma Tala's

spirit helps Moana find her inner strength and identity — without crying.

You can't!

Don't even try.

The cheeky jokes

In true Disney fashion, there are a few corny jokes thrown in for the parents.

At one point, Maui says,

"When you use a bird to write with, it's called tweeting."

Maybe it's a dorky dad joke.

But it gets full points for creativity.

They also threw in a little toilet humor when Maui tells Moana that warmer water means she's

going the right way.

"It's getting warmer…

UGH!

That is disgusting!"

Let's face it.

Potty jokes will always be funny.

A likeable villain

The world is scary enough right now, so we appreciate Disney throwing a fairly benign

villain our way with Tamatoa.

Instead of terrifying kids the whole time, we laugh at the shiny decapod when he offers

up lines like,

"Just pick an eye, babe.

I can't, I can't concentrate on what I'm saying when you keep --- yeah, pick one!

Pick one!"

The entire movie actually calls on us to reexamine the concept of "villainy" as a black and white

concept.

The film's primary antagonist, Te Ka, is actually the goddess Te Fiti who has been wronged.

Our heroes win the day by healing her, rather than fighting her.

Now that's deep.

Tons of Easter eggs

There are quite a few Easter eggs in this movie, starting with the little sea turtle

Moana saves at the beginning of the movie that bears a striking resemblance to Squirt

from Finding Nemo.

Later, when Maui's shapeshifting abilities are on the fritz, he transforms into Sven

from Frozen.

They also had a few Little Mermaid nods alongside Tamatoa.

The lair for his "collection" looks eerily similar to Ariel's Grotto.

Then at the end, Tamatoa offers up the ultimate Little Mermaid easter egg:

"Can we be real?

If my name was Sebastian and I had a cool, Jamaican accent, you'd totally help me.

You would, you know you would."

Finally, the directors of Moana are the same dynamic duo responsible for Aladdin.

Among other things, you'll notice that the magic carpet makes an appearance in the beginning

of the movie when Moana sings "How Far I'll Go."

The music is SO good

Award and Grammy wins for its music, but Moana has some serious lyrical talent.

The song "How Far I'll Go" is so powerful that one 4-year-old broke the internet when

the spirit moved her through that song.

Samoan singer and songwriter Opetaia Foa'i collaborated on the soundtrack — writing

"We Know the Way" among other songs.

In a touchy time of cultural appropriation, it was nice to know they consulted and took

direction from the people they wanted to represent.

While Frozen showed girls that true love could come in the form of sisterly affection, the

plot of that movie still ends with Anna finding a man.

But did you notice that Moana and Maui don't fall in love?

They mutually love and appreciate each other at the end of the movie, and they clearly

have a strong bond — but it isn't in a romantic way at all.

Moana's story doesn't end by partnering up with her future husband.

It ends with Moana and Maui saying, "See you out there" and she goes on to teach her people

to be voyagers.

Disney allows Moana and Maui to empower each other, showing that true feminism doesn't

pit male against female.

Maui doesn't have to be weak in order for Moana to be strong.

Together they're strong.

And isn't that a great lesson for women of all ages?

what's going on you guys my name is Stephan and you are watching audio

addiction. Today we're gonna be looking at the next generation of gangsta rap

artists with Kendrick Lamar. His full name is Kendrick Lamar Duckworth. I can

totally get why he just stuck with Kendrick Lamar nothing hood about

Duckworth. Kendrick was born on June 17 1987 in Compton California.

Kendricks father was a member of a Chicago Street gang the "Gangster

Disciples" and so he was surrounded by the projects that gangster lifestyle

that he raps about his music. And also being in one of the rap capitals of

America he'd also see something truly great and would be a very significant

moment in rap music. He would see both Tupac and dr. Dre

film for the music video California love and he would remember this moment for

the rest of his life. He would grow up on welfare live in section 8 housing. But

despite all the odds in 2004, Kendrick would decide to start his career as a

rapper. In that year he would release his full-length mixtape. The mixtape titled

"youngest head nigga in charge". Without using the name Kendrick Lamar he would

used the pseudonym K-dot. This tape would get him some local traction in his

neighborhood in the City of Compton. This mixtape would also get his foot in the

door at Top Dawg Entertainment getting a contract deal with them in Carson

California. It would begin his life as the contracted artist touring on the

west coast headlining with huge rap West Coast artists like "The Game". With the

pseudonym K-dot he would also be featured in two

music videos by the same artist "The Game". Now this is what I really see about in

today's rap community how a lot of the new rappers start to gain traction and

its to be featured in other people's music videos.

In this case with Kendrick Lamar was with "the game" you see this common in the rap

community, and I feel like it's such a tight-knit community and a lot of them

really support each other. I think it's really really great the way veteran

artists get to work with younger artists and just cultivate that relationship and

build on one another also with a step up from "the game", "Little Wayne" would be

featured in one of kendrick lamar's music videos. Well it wasn't really

Kendrick Lamar's. Kendrick Lamar would release three mixtapes till 2009 under

the name KDOT but after 2009 would drop the name and will stick with his actual

name Kendrick Lamar. He would then follow up with the EP in 2009 self-titled

Kendrick Lamar however, 2011 will be his year. He would start working with Snoop

Dogg and Dr. Dre getting high praises from both artists. He would then follow

that up with a signing to Interscope Records and you really start to smile

when you think of that moment when he was a kid when he saw dr. Dre and Tupac

filming that music video and now he's part of dr. Dre's record label. I think

it's very cool. And you know Kendrick Lamar is one of the most creative

lyricist, rappers out there. And the title of the king of the west coast. Minnie! This is my

dog everybody. And the title of the king of the west coast is you know unarguable at that

point I really think he deserves that kind of title. He really developed that kind

of gangster rap into something of his own. With gangsta rap especially West

Coast rap being very I guess you can say calm free-flowing. Kendrick Lamar really

put some bite into it and I mean out of all the times of modern artists relying

on the singles Kendrick Lamar uses the album to the best of his ability.

Creating concept albums telling a story through the album and this is something

that you really see in his latest album "damn" and comparing a

lot of his albums like mad city - damn - any of the between you know kendrick

lamar really uses creative music to the best of his ability. Implementing

different styles of music into it I mean good kid maad city was a gangster rap

album. However my favourite record to pimp a butterfly really incorporates some

soul funk styles of music into that music into that album

I mean King King Kunta is not really gangsta rap but I think it's so creative

with what Kendrick Lamar has done. And I mean he's just such a great storyteller.

He is one of the most creative artists of the 21st century and in our

generation right now. He would win seven Grammys would be on Times's 100 most

influential people in 2016, and he really is one of the greatest rappers of our

generation. He is our dr. Dre he is our Snoop Dogg

he is our Eminem only getting started with four studio albums this guy is

I was scared of cooking for a while, so I ran away with a food truck

but that scary cooking is now... fun again.

BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Busted In Pay-To-Play Scheme… | Top Stories Today - Duration: 4:35.

According to a stunning exposé by the Chicago Tribune, it appears Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel

has been engaging in a massive pay-to-play scheme.

Upon a review of more than 500 contributions made to the Chicago mayor of at least $5,000

since July 2015, the Tribune shows today that nearly 70% of them came from people who have

received, or are seeking, lucrative contracts with City Hall.

[Note: It's worth reminding people that Emanuel served in the Clinton White House,

so this standard of behavior should not surprise anyone.]

ZH reports:

As Mayor Rahm Emanuel ramps up his campaign fundraising toward a possible third term,

he continues to rely on donors who have received City Hall benefits, ranging from contracts

and zoning approvals to appointments and personal endorsements from the mayor, the Chicago Tribune

has found.

With the February 2019 mayoral election still a year and a half away, Emanuel has collected

$3.1 million in high-dollar contributions.

And more than $2.1 million of it — nearly 70 percent — has come from 83 donors who

have benefited from actions at City Hall.

Among the contributors: law firms seeking approval for their clients' projects or

lucrative bond business for themselves, developers needing City Hall permission to build here,

an events promoter negotiating the financial details of a major music festival and restaurateurs

wanting coveted space at Chicago's airports.

So how does he do it?

Turns out there are plenty of examples which include the following 'doozy' in which

Rahm raked in nearly $40,000 at a law firm fundraiser and then approved their zoning

plans for a new McDonald's facility the very next day.

For example, Emanuel has received blocks of campaign contributions from DLA Piper, one

of the go-to firms for real estate developers to get zoning approval at City Hall.

The firm's zoning law practice was built up by David Reifman, a onetime zoning attorney

who now holds substantial approval power over all new projects as the city's commissioner

of planning and development.

During Emanuel's first run for mayor, DLA Piper lawyers and relatives gave him $54,000

in political contributions.

In his bid for a second term, it was more than $75,000.

This time around, 15 of the firm's lawyers gave $35,700 after Emanuel stopped by DLA

Piper's downtown office for a Sept. 13 breakfast his official calendar listed as "non-city,"

the label often given to campaign events or fundraisers.

Emanuel's fundraiser took place as DLA Piper zoning attorneys were lobbying City Hall to

sign off on the new West Loop headquarters of McDonald's Corp.

The Emanuel administration approved the plans the day after the fundraiser.

And here's another great example whereby Rahm hired the law firm of Schiff Hardin for

the city's $1.2 billion bond issue, an engagement on which they made over $200,000 btw, then

strolled through their office just a couple months later for his kickback fundraiser.

Schiff Hardin is another firm whose lawyers have contributed to the mayor's campaign

and benefited from decisions made by the Emanuel administration.

The firm made at least $205,000 serving as co-counsel on the city's January $1.2 billion

bond issue, a massive borrowing plan to patch city debt, records show.

About three months later, Emanuel attended a lunch at the firm's offices on South Wacker

Drive, another event labeled "non-city" on the mayor's calendar.

A week later, Emanuel's campaign deposited $17,800 from 11 of the firm's lawyers, records

show.

Schiff Hardin partner Bruce Weisenthal said the mayor was invited to speak at the firm.

He said Emanuel spoke for about an hour, giving an uplifting talk about the state of Chicago

and where the city is going.

"He was very generous with his time," Weisenthal said.

That lunchtime event came after a fundraiser in 2013.

That year, Schiff Hardin made $96,000 in fees from a $276 million city wastewater revenue

bond project.

Three months later, Emanuel collected more than $16,000 from 13 Schiff Hardin lawyers

at a campaign event.

There are dozens of other stories just like these — Chicago-style politics are very

much at play in Chicago.

pretty clean already it's been a good weekend so far it's

been sitting back relaxing chilling praying for the best for Miami and all

yep I had one already one really good yeah I like I like about

the burger the mustard Oh in the mustard okay yeah you love

yeah I I loved it in there it's really good

Really want to go here right now. I'm gonna hit up Trader Joe's get some food stick to that vegan diet

been trying to stick to recently I've been doing pretty well with a diet so

I'm gonna hit up Trader Joe's I'm completely out of food check this out

and that's two that's two guys right there there's nothing in there we got a

lot of dressing though a lot of condiments I'm not necessarily enjoying

the vegan diet I can't say I feel bad or anything either right like I don't enjoy

meals as much as I have. Thus far I feel good I feel fine nothing drastic

honestly that I've noticed but it's been alright so when Kirk gets off we're

gonna I'm gonna hit up his spot and we're gonna do leg that he has that

squat rack in his apartment so we're gonna do that and then yeah go to bed I

have to get ready for tomorrow I want to hit up Santa Monica but we'll see

so I'm all set with the shopping check it out

whole wheat bread buns it's home food bunch of tofu yeah I got five of these

and then we got peanut butter grapes perfect all right and then I cheated a

little bit not with the meat or the vegan aspect but I had to get some of

these they just look too damn good all right that should hold me up until I

leave to SF

I am currently free forming my hair I'm working on free forming my calisthenics

moves and also I'm going to be working on being more aesthedicated aesthetic you'll

see some changes in my body composition within the next couple of months I am

going to focus on heavier resistance really focus on getting the planche and

all of those static movements the way I'm going to achieve that is basically

I'm going to progressively overload I'm gonna work on weighted planche weighted

push-ups weighted dips weighted levers lever holds front levers back lever jury

of progressive overload in place and just see what happens as far as

increasing my weight with added weight and just to get stronger overall I think

that's the goal is to be able to get stronger at the movements one is to be

able to hold the movement but to also be able to get stronger at doing these

movements you know basically you know stay tuned you'll see some changes

coming along you know just trying to make it work trying to try to stay stay

active you know really enjoying the movement I'm really loving it you know

I love that she can always make me laugh.

Avery's the most badass chick ever--she has like the most confidence,

she's the most fun to be around. She like brings out your best self. It's true.

My favorite thing about Liv is that I've never, in my entire twenty years of life

met somebody who is so genuinely like caring. And such a genuine friend.

I consider myself to be very introverted and like closed off to a lot of people, but

for whatever reason, with Nicole I just immediately felt so comfortable

and open, and felt like I could always be myself around her.

She just immediately felt like my best friend!

Awww... oh my gosh!

I think there's like this unity in Pi Phi that like,

we are so diverse and a lot of people do a lot of different things like what Felicia was saying,

but that like, when something good happens to Felicia, Denise & I feel like it's a win for us,

because we're all on the same team.

I feel like everyone in Pi Phi is so themselves,

and I feel like, at least for us, when we come together, we're all just like super goofy together, and totally ourselves

And that's when I feel like my most true self. When I'm just these bunch of goons.

(whispers) Pick Pi Phi.

You just gotta go with your gut. Like they always said "You'll know."

And I was like "No I won't, like I won't know, it'll be a hard decision."

But then when I went I knew immediately that Pi Phi was the right place for me.

You'll find the organization that's right for you as long as you're true to yourself.

As much as you want to meet us, we really want to meet and get to know you.

We're interested in who you are, as much as you may be interested in what

we Pi Phi/ we the girls in Pi Phi are like.

My advice would be to think about the way you feel in the room, and the women that you're talking to

and think, "Are these the women that I want to surround myself with,

and would these be people that I would want to have as lifelong friends?

And just remember that this process if really about you, not about anything else.

But just like, finding place that you feel comfortable in

and that you feel like is going to make you a better woman.

Couldn't have said it better, I have nothing to add.
