Waching daily Sep 11 2017

No word can be completely forbidden. If no one is ever allowed to say a word under any

circumstances then children never hear it when they're growing up so they never learn

it and after a couple generations everyone who remembered it will have died and it won't

be a word in that language anymore. In fact, the more people know a word the stronger the

rule against it can be, because if everyone knows a word then when someone says it everyone

can immediately participate in punishing them. But for people to learn the word in the first

place there have to be some circumstances where it's permissible, or at least tolerated.

What all this means is that I'm probably not going to be telling you any words you

don't already know, at least in English, so if you came here for any huge surprises

on that front you might be disappointed. But I still think it's really interesting and

counterintuitive that there are so many words that we have in our language but that you're

not really supposed to use, and not only that but the presence of words like that seems

like it might be universal to all languages. There's a lot of ways of categorizing these

words but I think the most useful way to sort them is by why people think you shouldn't

say them in the first place, which gets you about three types of forbidden words.

Uh, before I go on, fair warning, I'm going to be saying, like, all of these words, or

at least all the ones in English. I won't be using them exactly, but I am going to be

saying them so that we all know what we're talking about. So uh, viewer discretion advised.

Alright, the first type of forbidden words are the ones for which it's probably the

easiest to understand why people would want to avoid them: blasphemous words. These are

usually names for some sort of supernatural entity, a god or spirit or angel or demon

or something like that. It's really common in cultures around the world for people to

think that saying the name of something like this will call its attention to you and, perhaps

depending on how respectfully you said it, possibly anger them. Therefor, if you want

them to like you, it's probably best not to call their attention to you frivolously,

and if you want them to ignore you it's probably best to just never say their name

at all. We don't really have words like this in English any more, but boy did we used

to. In the middle ages saying words like "God," "Jesus," "hell," or "Devil" was

taken very seriously by both the church and the state and was often illegal. But my favorite

example of this type of word is from Hebrew. Religious jews from ancient times and up to

today go way out of their way to never, ever say Yahweh, which is basically the most direct

possible name for God in Hebrew. They don't even write it unless they're making a copy

of the bible, which makes it probably the strictest prohibition on a word I'm going

to talk about in this video. I could give more examples but this category

is pretty self explanatory, so let's move on to the second type of forbidden word. This

one is easily the one that's most confusing for me. You see, in a lot of languages, maybe

even all of them, there are taboo words that refer to something having to do with either

sex or excrement, either referring to those things directly or referring to things that

the culture deems somehow related. Words like this in English include shit, piss, fuck,

cock and cunt, just to name a few of the worse ones. Oddly enough though these words are

rarely used in their literal sense. When someone says "fuck" or "fucking" they're

actually talking about sex maybe one time out of a hundred. The rest of the time they've

probably either stubbed their toe or they're losing at Mario Kart.

What interests me most about these words is that everyone agrees that they shouldn't

be said in certain circumstances but very few people have clear beliefs about why. It

seems kind of like wearing pants in public: everyone does it because everyone else does

it. Anybody can imagine a society where no one wears pants, and nothing necessarily seems

wrong with it, but nobody wants to be the first person to try it.

I'd really like to be able to tell you about the historical circumstances that lead to

words like this, but unfortunately there's not much much research into that area. A decent

amount has been written about the origin of these particular English words, but similar

words exist in loads of other languages and I honestly have no idea how much of what happened

in English is applicable to other languages. So, with that disclaimer, here's about what

happened in English. In the beginning (and by "beginning" I

mean about 1500) these words didn't have any stigma at all. They were direct but not

vulgar, kind of like today's words "penis" and "vagina," words which, by the way,

didn't exist at the time and were only borrowed form Latin in the 1600s.

So what changed between then and now? A lot, but three main things:

Firstly, there were a lot of people, especially around the protestant reformation, who thought

that naming things having to do with sex directly would inspire lust and, therefor sin, so they

did their best to talk about them in a super round-about way.

Somewhat after that but also kind of simultaneous with it people started avoiding talking about

sex and excrement all together. This was especially true in the victorian era, when even the word

"leg" was considered by some to be too sexually suggestive for public use.

Thirdly, some people saw it as class marker. The middle class in England at the time used

their avoidance of these words as a way to differentiate themselves from the lower classes

who they thought used them more freely. Squeamishness around sex and poop as well

as class divisions certainly aren't unique to the English speaking world, so I wouldn't

at all be surprised if these are where swear words come from in other languages as well,

but on the other hand it's a sample size of one so who knows.

Now we come to the last type of forbidden word, which unlike the other two I actually

fully endorse the prohibition against. These words are slurs: words that refer to some

category of people while also attaching a strong negative value judgement to those people.

The most common and widely studied of these words refer to ethnic and racial groups, so

I'm gonna focus mostly on them in this video, although similar words refer to sexual orientation,

gender, religion, disability and all kinds of stuff. Words like this in English include

chink, coon, spic, gook, paki, and of course "negro," variously pronounced "nigger"

or "niggah." Anyway, there's actually a few slightly

different theories as to what exactly makes these words so bad. Most of them revolve around

the idea that these words are somehow connected to both a group of people and a series of

negative stereotypes about that group of people. I think that's pretty clear from the fact

that some people use the N-word to refer to black people without any negative judgement

intended, while others use it to refer to people who fit properties traditionally associated

with black people regardless of that person's race. For some the word only means the category

of people and for others it only means the stereotypes, but for most people it's at

least connected to both. But how exactly it's connected to both is

a matter of debate. Some scholars have argued that the category of people and the negative

value judgement are all contained in a slur's literal meaning. It's kind of like how the

word penguin refers to flightless black and white animals with wings and beaks and flippers

that lay eggs and live in Antarctica. If you use the word penguin to refer to something

it suggests that you think that penguins are a thing, that these traits (which aren't

necessarily logically related) tend to cluster with each other in the real world, so something

with a few of them is probably a penguin and will therefor have the other qualities of

a penguin as well. In the same way, some people think that slurs refer to categories that

include both the ethnic group and the stereotypes about that ethic group, so that using the

slur suggests that these properties naturally belong together.

Not everyone agrees with this analysis though. Another theory is that slurs literally refer

only to the category of people but that they also carry some sort of evaluative connotation.

Kind of like how "exit the building promptly" and "get out now!" literally mean the

same thing but imply radically different emotions on the part of the speaker. In the same way,

this theory says that "there's a gay guy over there" and "there's a f***** over

there" literally mean the same thing but one implies that the speaker has negative

attitudes towards gay people and the other doesn't.

There's a lot of subtle variations on both of these theories, and they tend to struggle

with the fact that different people clearly use these words in different ways. For instance

the phenomenon of members of the targeted group using a slur as a mock insult amongst

themselves to acknowledge their shared community has been talked about at length by many people

much smarter than me. Different theories explain all this in slightly different ways, but one

thing that they all agree on is that most of the time the people who these words target

feel attacked when people not in that group direct it towards them, which makes sense

when you consider that a lot of people have used and continue to use these words for the

specific purpose of attacking them. I hope you don't need a rigorous linguistic analysis

to see the logic in that. That said, I hope the educational value of

this video outweighs any discomfort I might have caused by saying all these words, not

just the slurs but also the religious swears and profanity. I'm sorry if anything I said

in this video bothered you or offended you, and I promise my next video won't feature

such a touchy topic. See you then!

MY FIRST SKYDIVE with Red Bull - Duration: 7:10.

In this video...

Buenos Dias and welcome to this new adventure video!

Here from the Hangar 7 of Red Bull in Salzburg.

I am here with a few other YouTubers, because we were invited by Red Bull

to spend a cool day at the 'Wolfgangsee' and do a few activites

as an event for the launch of the new 'Organics' Line

and we are now gathering here.

Now, to find out, which activity we're doing, we did a test

which then told us which flavor of Red Bull Organics we are

and I got the flavor Ginger Ale, which now means

as you probably already read in the title, that I'm going skydiving.

Skydiving with the HSV Red Bull Team which is going to be my first skydive ever.

Woah. I am extremely excited, I am also really looking forward to doing it, but I'm psyched.

I am very curious how it's going to be.

The others, that are also here, are going to fly over to the 'Wolfgangsee' by plane.

And we're also going there by plane, but we're then jumping down.

I don't know if there's going to be scenes from the lake, I think I'm gonna put some in,

but for now, enjoy the scenes of my skydive

and we'll see each other again afterwards!

That's it for my first skydive!

That's it for this skydiving adventure video. It was so, so cool!

I am now in my room in the hotel 'Scalaria' where we're staying one more night.

You saw it. We landed back there, rode over here

and now I'm spending one more night in this room with an amazing view.

Now imagine this view from the air. I mean you saw it, but yeah...

There's a storm coming now. Earlier, we discussed if we can jump, because there already was a storm coming

but it just came now, as I'm here.

I am so happy! It was such a cool experience! I can hardly put it into words.

It's just such an incredibly good feeling, such a freeing feeling to jump down.

It's not scary or some kind of bad feeling at all.

At least from my experience today.

It is gorgeous, especially the turns you do on the parachute.

It's just so incredibly cool. You see, I am absolutely stoked.

It was very spontanious for me, because I just got word of it two days ago, that I'm doing it today.

I got a call: "Hey, do you wanna go skydiving?"

And I was completely overwhelmed, didn't know what to say.

But I only had very little time to decide if I say yes or not.

I then took my time but - luckily - said yes in the end and did it today.

I don't regret it at all.

And if you get the chance to do it I can only tell you: Do it.

Don't think about it too much, just do it.

You don't have to be scared of anything.

You're doing the jump with pros, we had the HSV Red Bull Team

which are such cool, kind people, that have so much experience in what they're doing.

It's even safer than driving a car. And I'm sure a lot of you drive their car every day.

So you really don't have to be afraid of anything.

It's a great feeling, even though it's something new, but it's something most of you probably only do one time.

Use the opportunity. That's my advice for your first skydive.

I was told by many people and I can only confirm - you have to experience it.

And I am really happy. Thanks to Red Bull at this point, who made this possible today

who invited me here. Just thank you so much. It was way too cool.

I now have to settle a little bit and realize that I just jumped out of a plane.

But if you liked it, leave a thumbs up,

subscribe, if you haven't already,

follow me on all social networks, they're linked in the description

and we'll see each other again in the next adventure video.

I don't know how to top this yet, but I'll try my best.

Until then, bye!

Nothing!

What do you mean nothing?

This is nothing!

Most Anticipated Fall 2017 Book Releases - Duration: 9:31.

Hey guys it's Trina and in this video I'm going to tell you guys about my most

anticipated fall book releases of 2017. There are quite a few books coming out

in fall. I'm looking forward to so many of them, so these are my most anticipated

fall releases covering the months of September, October, and November. A couple

of these have already come out because as always I'm a little bit behind on

filming right now but on September 5th the first most anticipated fall release

I'll be talking about is They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera.

In the world of this book there is this technology that knows the day that

everyone is going to die. So on the day that you are going to die you will get a

phone call from this service that says hey you're gonna die today, you might

want to get all your affairs in order and like do any last-minute things that

you've always wanted to do. And so our main character gets that phone call one

morning. "you're gonna die today," and this character ends up meeting another boy

that has also gotten that phone call, who's also gonna die that day and I think

the two of them kind of set off to just like do any bucket list items that

they've always wanted to do, like live your life fully in this one last day

that you've been given. So I know that the title is They Both Die at the End

and this is about characters who are going to die but I keep hearing more and

more that this book is actually about living. It's about life and the things

that - you know, accomplishing the things that you want to do before you die. The

next book that I'm looking forward to is also coming out on September 5th. It is

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas. I would be lying if I told you guys I was not

looking forward to this book but I will say that I am hesitant about what to do

going forward on my channel about her books because I really have really loved

her series and her characters and the worlds like personally but I also

completely see and understand that there are problematic things in her books. Tower

of Dawn, if you guys don't know, is about Chaol's adventures in a different

part of the world, it just takes place while Empire of

Storms was also taking place. So I kind of look at this book like in the Game of

Thrones series - the Song of Ice and Fire - how George RR Martin split books four

and five by character and location. Basically the same exact thing is

happening with this one. I have some expectations and I really hope that this

book meets in terms of the disability representation and the POC

representation, so you know, I will be checking it out and just seeing how it

goes. On September 12 Warcross by Marie Lu is coming out

and I did get an ARC of this one - an advanced copy - but I was already looking

forward to this book so much before because I've read everything else by

Marie Lu. This one is a sci-fi book. It is about our futuristic world where

this videogame has taken over and most people just kind of play it casually as

like a game but our main character is a bounty hunter. She's kind of, you know,

needing money and she's ended up hacking her way into the system of warcross,

does something that no other player has ever been able to do before, and she

catches the attention of the game's creator who then wants to hire her to do

something for him. I am already about a fourth of the way through this book

and it is so good so far. It's very action-packed. It's right up my alley. I'm

really really enjoying it. On September 19th Jane Unlimited by Kristin Cashore is

coming out. This is another book that I got an early copy of and I was looking

forward to it before I got the early copy yet again. This girl's aunt passes

away and before she died her aunt made her promise that if she ever got invited

to this mysterious island and this thing that no one really knows about that she

had to accept the invitation. After her aunt dies the main character does get

invited to that thing and so she goes because she promised her aunt she would.

And over the course of her stay she'll have to make five decisions that

will impact her life. This sounds pretty mystical. It sounds like maybe there's a

game involved or something - it doesn't sound like straight contemporary genre so I'm

very interested in seeing what is actually going on in this book because

that was like just enough of a teaser to really pique my interest in it. Also on

the 19th is One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake which is the sequel to Three Dark

Crowns and I really enjoyed that first book and I really want to see where this

story is going. I believe this is just a duology so One Dark Throne should wrap

everything up. I'm very very excited about it. This is a series about three

sisters who have all been born into this kingdom. They're all Queens, they're all

the heir to the throne, and in order to claim the throne the three of them must

like fight to the death and the one survivor will be the queen

ultimately. All three of these sisters have been granted different types of

magical abilities but the thing is is a couple of these sisters are actually

struggling with their abilities. One of them like doesn't have the ability at

all and she's trying to figure out how to tap into her

magic so that she can actually compete. The last September released on my list

is on September 26. It is There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. I

have been excited about this book for like four years!

This book was announced so long ago. We all just knew okay Stephanie Perkins, she

wrote the fluffy romantic Anna and the French Kiss series and now she's gonna

write a thriller next?! Totally different genre.

I am so here for it. I got to actually meet Stephanie Perkins at a book event

like four years ago she talked about this book a little bit. I've been dying

for it ever since then. I really don't know the official summary of what this

book is about because I haven't needed to know. I just knew Stephanie Perkins is

writing a thriller, that's enough for me to want to check it out. I'm guessing

it's a slasher and I feel like I've heard people say it's kind of in the

vein of Scream, like kind of a parody-ish thriller. I don't know. I've heard

kind of mixed reviews on this one so far from people that have early copies but I

don't care. I'm reading it. I've been looking forward to this one for years. It is

definitely on my list. Into October releases. Coming out on October 3rd is

Before the Devil Breaks You by Libba Bray which is the third book in the

Diviners series. I love this series so much and there's been such a long wait

for this book. We didn't get a title or cover for a long time and now it's

finally coming out and I'm so so excited about it. The Diviners is a YA

paranormal series about these characters that have different powers. Like they can,

you know, one of them can touch an object and see that object's past, one of them

has the ability to kind of influence people's thoughts and actions, one of

them has a healing ability. I love this series so much, I particularly love it on

audiobook but the writing is also fantastic. It's a little spooky. I don't

think it's overly spooky but there are some intensely spooky moments. There's

some weird things that happen in it. I just really really love it so I've been

waiting for this book for a long time and I'm so excited that it's finally

here. I'm not even going to talk about the cover changes.

I'm not.

On October 10th is one of my most anticipated releases of the year, This Darkness Mine

by Mindy McGinnis. I'm Mindy trash. We all know this by now. This is her going back

to the contemporary genre and this is a thriller. It is about a girl who she's

like the straight A, perfect girl, good girl student and she suddenly starts

getting urges to do things that she considers

to be bad things and she learns that she was a twin in the womb but her other

twin did not survive. So I think she kind of gets this idea into her head that she

absorbed part of her dead twin and that twin is still partially alive inside of

her mind and is the one that's making her do all these weird things. I have

heard some reviews saying that it's really really weird and kind of twisted

and pretty dark, and, you know, those are kind of things I have come to expect

from Mindy's books so I'm not at all surprised about that.

I'm looking forward to it, you know. I'll see what I think about it when it comes out but, you know,

definitely always up for a new Mindy book. On November 7th is The Becoming of Noah

Shaw by Michelle Hodkin. This is the start of a new series following the

character Noah who is in her Mara Dyer trilogy. So this is kind of a

continuation of the Mara trilogy. It definitely takes place after the end of

that trilogy but it's following Noah and I ended up really enjoying that series.

It didn't work for me in some aspects but I really appreciated just like what

the author was trying to do and what she did especially in the third book I was

really impressed by. I know most people hated the third book because it was so

different in tone then the first two Mara Dyer books but I really liked what

the author was doing and I'm very curious to see just more of how she's

gonna play with that idea and especially following a different character so I'm

gonna check it out. Also on November 7th is Renegades by Marissa Meyer and I'm

gonna be honest with you guys, I do not remember anything about what this book

is about and I don't need to know what it's about because Marissa Meyer. I have

read everything else that she's published so far and really enjoyed it.

That's all I need to know. Goodreads link will be down below. My point here is I

just know that I'm gonna read this because it's by an author that I really

enjoy. And finally, on November 14th is Artemis by Andy Weir. He is the author of

The Martian, which is one of my favorite books of all time and again I didn't

need to know what this one was about because I just wanted to read another

book by an author that I have previously loved. This one is in the same genre, it

is an adult science fiction novel and I know that it is set on the moon and

follows a female main character this time. I don't always like reading the

book summaries of books that are by authors I know

I like because then I get just like this expectation in my head of what that book

is going to be about and it doesn't always live up to what's actually in the

book so sometimes I like going into books not knowing very much about them.

So I do apologize for some of these really janky summaries that are just

pretty lacking. Again, Goodreads links are down below for every book that I talked

about today but I did still want to tell you guys why I'm looking forward to

these books even if it's just because I like the author. Those are all of my most

anticipated fall releases. I would love to hear what your most anticipated fall

release is or if any of these books are also on your list. Fall is such a heavy

book release time, hopefully we will all get to the books we want to read this

season. Thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you in the comments. Bye!

Top 20 Things Every Beginner SHOULD Know in DCUO - Duration: 12:51.

Whats up guys?

This is Eddy.

Welcome to the new video.

This video is for all the people who are new to DCUO.

Here is a list of TOP 20 things every beginner should know when starting there journey in

DC Universe Online.

The time you spend on that ship right after

making a new character is the most important thing in the game.

That 10 minute gameplay is basically a tutorial.

You learn how to play your character, how to use your powers and weapons.

But most important part of that tutorial is when you fight three types of adds where you

have to counter them with Block break, lunge or Block.

These three mechanics are vital to DCUO.

No matter how high your character level is, you are going to use these three mechanics

throughout.

Also if you're a fan of PvP more than PvE.

You HAVE to master these three mechanics.

Level 1 to Level 30 is just a tutorial.

Its designed for you to get used to the DC Universe Online's storyline.

You play through different scenarios working for multiple iconic heroes and villains while

learning about the story and getting used to your powers and weapons.

After Level 30 is where the fun begins.

After reaching level 30, there will be no

progress in levels.

But your progress will be calculated by combat rating.

Now how do you increase your combat rating?

its simple.

You have to run the content, gain marks and gear.

Each gear piece has certain item level.

Higher the item level of your gear > higher your combat rating will be.

There are different Teirs of gear starting from Teir 1 ofcourse.

You can find basic gear which is Teir 1 in all wings of WatchTower or Hall Of Doom.

Teir 2 gear has certain spot in each wing.

Teir 3 will be in meta wing and Teir 4 in magic wing.

So keep playing content, get marks and then buy gear from those marks to increase your

combat rating and move from Teir 1 to Teir 2 and so on.

Teir 5 and higher gear are Episode based, so you will find that gear in specific locations

according to the episode.

You can play from Teir 1 to Teir 3 for Free.

After that its all about Episodes.

You need to have certain Episodes unlocked in order to play certain content.

There are two ways to unlock the episodes.

One: Buy Episodes seperately.

Two: Buy Membership.

Now buying episodes seperately is a good option if you want to take your time with one episode

at a time.

Enjoy the gameplay and storyline.

But buying membership has its own perks. which we will discuss next.

You can buy membership which is known as "All-Access"

on DCUO website.

There are multiple options, you can buy it per month or you can pay for 3 months, 6 months

or 12 months altogether which obviously gives you good discount.

Now the question is why should you buy the membership?

A: No more escrow: When you are free-to-play player, the cash limit ingame is 1500.

Rest of the money goes in Escrow.

If you are a premium player, cash limit is 2000.

But if you are a member, there is no cash limit.

Because trust me, when you will keep playing and reach higher teir, you will be needing

alot of ingame cash to repair your gear or to buy stuff from broker.

B: All Episodes Access: As a member, you will have access to All DC Universe Online's Episodes.

That way you don't have to worry about buying an episode everytime they launch a new one.

C: Utility Belt: You will have access to utility belt in which you can put different trinkets

or consumables to help you in combat.

D: Lair System: You will have access to your very own personal base, where you can be creative

and decorate it however you like.

On top of that you will get access to Henchmen, Orbital Strike and special mods to help you

in combat.

E: Member priveledge: Members do get special gifts and discounts from time to time.

Its totally worth it.

F: Replay Badges: You get 150 replay badges for free every month. What are replay badges?

we will discuss it next.

6.

Replay Badges Every time you run a content, lets say an

alert.

You get loot locked.

which means if you run it again the same day, you will not get any loot.

Thats where replay badges comes in.

Replay badge is a currency which you can use to unlock the content so that you can get

rewards again.

As a member, you get 150 replay badges every month but you can buy more from Marketplace

according to your need.

Like I said before everytime you run a content,

it gets loot locked.

But don't worry if you don't have replay badges.

Content resets daily except for 8 man Raids and few other open world missions.

Solos/Duos and Alerts resets daily, so you can enjoy the game and get rewards on daily

basis.

To know the exact time of reset depending on your location, please refer to dc universe

online's website.

You are going to see this message once a day

that world is shutting down in 30min.

Don't worry, Game is not ending.

Its just a 45 minutes to 1 hour Daily Maintaince shutdown which developers have scheduled so

that you can enjoy the smooth gameplay.

On duty tab is where all the magic happens.

This is where you can choose what to run.

Its very simple to understand because its categorize in Solos,Duos, Alerts and Raids.

You can click on what you want to do.

Choose the instance according to your teir and que for it.

When some other people que for the same instance too, a notification will pop up on your screen

and ask you if you want to join the instance.

LFG stands for Looking for Group.

This is really important chat channel in the game.

While you can que for instances from On-Duty Tab, its not the ideal way to run the content.

With the help of LFG you can look for certain roles for whatever instance you want to run.

For example, if you want to run Blackest Night Raid, all you need to do is go in LFG Chat

and write "LF all roles for BN" or if you are looking for specific role, you can write

"LF Healer or Tank or Troll for BN".

To activate LFG Chat, you need to go to Settings > Chat > Click Edit in front of Default > and

check Looking for Group Chat.

You can add people and form a group in order

to do content which requires multiple players.

To do that there are few ways.

Im on PC so I will tell you that one.

For PS or Xbox, please go to settings > Key Bindings and learn all the shortcuts.

For PC, Press F4.

Click on Nearby to see the names of players near you.

Click on Recent text, to see the names of people who have just typed in LFG chat or

sent you a private message.

Click on Friends to see which friends are online.

Once you see the name of the player you want.

Click on the name, then click on "add to the group".

If they accept, they will be in your group.

Another way to do that is to type in " /invite "playername".

For example /invite "iEddy" and hit enter.

You will meet many new people in game.

You can add them to your friendlist so you can play together in future as well.

Or just to keep in touch and say hello.

To do that type in /friend "playername" or if they have sent you a text or are standing

near you.

Just press F4> nearby or recent text> click on name and add to friendlist.

For PS and Xbox it will be slightly differenT then pressing F4 but rest is same.

In DC Universe Online, you can trade items

and cash with other people.

To do that, click F4 > find there name and click on Trade.

Once they accept the trade, you can put in the items or cash you want and give it to them

The Player has to be close or right next to you in order to do the trade

Free to play players cannot trade anything.

Premium Players can only trade items.

While members can trade items and cash.

Some of the items might not be tradeable like gear you buy from certain vendors or collections

you buy from marks.

Also make sure if you are trading an item for an item, other player has put that in

trade box.

Don't press accept without looking.

You will not get your item back if you get scammed.

Also, there is a trade chat which you can access from Settings > Chats > Edit > Default

> Trade.

You can shout in there if you are selling something or want to buy something.

Coming back to original gameplay.

Skill points are one of the most important thing of DCUO gameplay.

In order to be strong in this game you need to work on your skill points.

Skill points are gained by acheiving certain feats.

Take a look at your feat menu and see what can you do to get feats.

There are three types of feats.

1 star, 2 stars and 3 stars.

1 star means 10 feat points.

2 stars means 25 feat points and 3 star means 50 feat points.

100 feat points makes 1 Skill point.

Once you have gained a skill point, you can go to your Traits menu and use that skill

point to gain role specific buff or unlock combos for certain weapon.

I should also mention that 3 star feats means more difficult while 1 star feat means easy

to get.

But overall you need to get those feats and get as many skill points as you can in order

to make your character actually feel like a super hero or villain.

Take a look at this video if you want to know how many skills points you can get on your

own without any help.

League is basically a guild or a crew just

like in many other games.

You can make your own league if you have all access membership.

But if you are a premium or f2p player, you can only join leagues made by other people.

Leagues play important part in DCUO.

You need to be in a good league in order to make your character stronger.

Other league members from the same league can help you with different instances or feats

or if you are lucky, you might get some free items from other league mates.

So find a league which you think is good and join.

Play a good part in helping others as well.

Because you know, it requires both hands to clap.

Just like that, if you care for others, others will care for u.

You will be wondering what these blue or green

or gold nodes are throughout the world in DCUO.

Green means investigations, Blue means briefings and Gold means Collections.

There are hundreds of them.

But there are different sets.

Completing these sets you will get rewards.

It can be a style item, or gear or simply just marks.

Once you have collected 1 part of a certain investigation or collection or briefing, you

can go to this menu, click on the thing which u have collected as it will say "updated"

right next to it. and see all the other parts which are required.

Then you can google the name and find the locations of other parts you need.

Oh! and some of these also have some 50 feat points.

Each wing in Watchtower and Hall of Doom has

something called broker.

You can go there and sell or buy items you need with ingame currency.

Broker will take a small fee for each transaction tho.

Once you purchase a certain item it will come to you by mail.

Right next to broker are mail machines.

You can use mail machines to receive items you purchased from broker.

Or you can just write a letter to a friend you made earlier.

Basically, its a mail system.

I don't think I need to explain how mail works.

Bank Banks are right next to broker and mail boxes.

This your personal bank.

You can put items which you don't use that often in the bank and retrive it later whenever

you want.

Once inside bank, you can click on Shared bank.

Shared bank is a bank which you can use to share items between your other characters

on the same account.

When you created your character, you chose

certain power type because you liked it.

Right?

If you think you are not doing enough damage or healing or tanking depending on your role.

This means one of the possibility is that you don't have the right loadout.

Thats where Youtube comes in.

You need to change your loadout to something which works really well.

Just make sure the video you are taking loadout from is latest and not like 3 years old.

My channel iEddyGaming is continuously being updated with new loadouts and rotations.

Now if even after that you are bored with your current powerset.

All you need to do is go to marketplace and get a Power Change Token.

Once purchased, it will be in your inventory.

Click on it and you can change to whatever other power you want to.

There are plenty of other things I can still

talk about. But most important thing which will help you in long run and you need to

know about is RnD.

Research and Development.

You can find RND Stations in all wings of Watchtower and Hall of Doom.

You can use RnD Station to make certain mods.

If you remember your level 9 mission when you were taking a tour of Watchtower or Hall

of Doom, they pretty much explain everything how to create a mod.

But just to go through it again, you need certain plans to be able to make a mod.

Once you have collected a plan, you need to go to RnD Station, click on the mod you need.

And look for the items you need to make the mod.

Most commonly its Red, Yellow and Blue Exos.

Which you can collect from all open world areas from these rainbow nodes.

Other items you can get from salvaging the gear you don't use or sometimes it just drops

from instances.

You can also buy these items from broker if u have ingame cash.

Once you have all the items, click on create mod. and that mod will be in your inventory.

Then just click on the mod, drag and drop the mod in the gear piece u want your mod

in.

And done.

There are plenty of feats related to RnD.

Make sure you check them under RnD section in Feats menu.

I have tried my best to cover all the basics you need to know in order to start playing

this game comfortably.

I hope it will help you and if it has, give it a thumbs up.

If you have any questions, comment below.

Im pretty sure some old players will like to add few more things in the list, feel free

to add them in comment below but keep in mind the title says "Top 20" not all the basic

things.

Anyways Subscribe for more videos like this and I will see ya next time.

you can pre-mount the clamps and then

close them around your cable.

And our Ratchet P-Clamps are very easy to open

with a standard flathead screwdriver.

Great for maintenance.

Our Ratchet P-Clamps are available

in four different diameters,

four different angles,

four different fixing hole sizes.

And with the ratchet mechanism,

the clamps fit snugly
