what's up guys welcome to the cult curator where I help you navigate the
overwhelming world a beauty one tutorial at a time. My name is Sonya and in this
week's video I'm sharing my tips for an everyday natural looking brow I do a beauty
bite every week so don't forget to subscribe and if you'd like to see how I
do my brows and keep on watching alright so with the full face of makeup on you
can really see that my brows need a lot of work they're not doing a good job of
shaping a face they're just too sparse and too light so filling them in will
make huge difference so before I go on with any brow product the first thing
that I like to do is go in with a setting powder over my natural brow
hairs and I like to kind of look at this as going in with an eye primer and then
going over that by primer with either setting powder or an eye shadow so that
your eyeshadows have a smooth base to apply to you it's kind of a similar
thing and I have noticed that it makes a big difference in the way that my
eyebrow product applies so lately I've been taping this RCMA no color powder
and an elf blush brush to do this so I just coat the brush in the setting
powder like this and then go over my brow and I'm just taking the brush and
patting and swiping across the brow to make sure that there's a good amount of setting powder on it.
my go-to brow product lately has been the NYX micro brow pencil and Ash Brown
I used to only use the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz but this is literally
half the price and I would say it's just as good so I've been using this a lot so
the first thing that I like to do is take the spoolie side of the brow pencil
and run my brows through it the reason I do this is because sometimes my brow
hairs go all over the place so this helps tame them and put them into the
shape that I want them to be now I'm gonna fill in my brows and the
first thing I like to do is outline the shape so that I know where I should be
filling in so I like to start from the beginning and gradually draw a line
across my brow and when I get to this area I like to draw it a little bit
thicker than the natural shape so that it matches this side so for this video
I'm not going to go into too much detail about how to shape your brows I actually
have a very in-depth brow tutorial where I show you everything from how to shape
your brows to how to fill them so if you're a beginner and you need a
few more in-depth tips and tricks on how to do your brows then I will link that in
the description bar down below and I'll also link it somewhere up here for you
so now that I've outlined the shape of my brows I'm just gonna go in and fill
them in so I like to just go in with small strokes like this and the goal is
to try to kind of mimic the brow hair so you're doing little light strokes like
this to make it look a lot more natural versus a very harsh line that will be a
lot harder to blend out and another tip is to follow the direction of your brow
hairs so you'll notice my brow hair is in this direction to go horizontally
like the brows in the front go up so I will be going up like this and then
the tail area kind of curves downward you don't want to do upward strokes in
this area because it won't look as natural and you don't want to do
horizontal strokes in the front because that won't look natural either so keep
that in mind while you're doing this and also when you reach the front you want
the lightest amount of pressure in this area because you don't want it to be as
dark as this you want to kind of create a gradient so the front of your brow
should be the lightest and then it moves into the darker tail of your brow and
then as I'm filling them in and after I'm done filling them in I like to go in
with a spoolie and this helps blend everything together
another trick while you're doing my brows I do this all the time to make
sure that my brows are completely filled in so you want to take your mirror and
look sideways like this and when you do this you can actually see sparse areas
that need to be filled in that you wouldn't be able to see by just looking
forward and just by doing my brows even though I've just done one
and see that it makes a huge difference in the way that your face looks and your
makeup looks alright so now I'm just gonna do the other brow rather quickly
and I will be right back alright so this is both brows filled in and another tip
that I like to use when I'm filling in my brows is to actually look at a larger
mirror where I can see my entire face this has become such a crucial step for
me because there have been times where I've done my eyebrows in a smaller mirror where I can
just see my brow and my eye and I think that they're perfect, I think that
they're symmetrical and then I look at myself in a larger mirror and they're
completely different brows one is higher than the other or the shape is
completely off whatever it might be they're just completely different so as
I'm doing my brows I always make sure to look at myself in a larger mirror where
I can see my entire face so that I can see that my brows are symmetrical and
looking pretty even on both sides alright so once I fill in my brows I
like to take the time to make them look a little bit more natural so what I like
to do is take my finger and kind of press it along the front I don't want to
wipe away any of the product really I just kind of want to soften it so that
it's not as harsh and it helps create that gradient effect that I want next
I'd like to go in with my RCMA no color powder again and the same blush brush
and run it along my entire brow and what this does is to help set the brow
product and it also helps soften the color so that's not as harsh in the last
step for natural looking brows is to go in with a brow gel to help define the
natural hairs on your eyebrow for this tutorial I'm going to be going in with
my Anastasia Beverly Hills tinted brow gel in Granite and if you don't
want to break with an Anastasia Beverly Hills tinted brow gel
because I know this is expensive the NYX tinted brow gel is really good
also I just can't find mine right now so that's why I'm using this one and once you do
that your natural brow look is complete! alright guys so that is my
natural everyday brow look I hope you found these tips helpful and if you like
