Waching daily Oct 17 2017

(bright funky music)

- Ah cool, look at this hangar.

Look at these little baby planes.

(speaking in foreign language)

- This is like, the kind of plane

that usually like...

- Goes to Alaska?

- No I was gonna say crashes.

I was really tired cause we got up at like 5 a.m.,

but now that I've seen the plane I'm like.

This is so cool.

It's gonna be fun.

(speaking foreign language)

With it's deep valleys, subtropical climate,

active volcanoes and natural hot springs,

Japan's southwest island of Kyushu,

is a fiery force of nature.

With some of the most breathtaking scenery in Japan.

Come with Tatsu and I as we travel across the island,

making new discoveries,

and visiting some old favorites along the way.

(relaxing music)

Today, Tatsu and I are heading to Iwojima,

off the coast of Kagoshima prefecture.

There are only two ferries a week connecting Iwojima,

to the rest of Kyushu.

So if you're visiting any other day,

the only way to get there, is by private plane.

It is home to Iodake, a currently active volcano,

that emits sulfur dioxide.

"Io" in Japanese means sulfur.

Thus the name "sulfur island".

There are actually a few sulfur islands in Japan,

so just to clarify, this is not the Iwojima

that was captured by the U.S. during the second World War.

Bye.

Bye.

(laughs)

Tatsu and I were just about to cross the road,

and we saw this guy and we both just screamed,

and freaked out. (speaks foreign language)

Bye.

(upbeat music)

How is it Tatsu?

- Oh wow, I was just. Holy, Oh!

(speaking foreign language)

Look at these. (speaking foreign language)

- This is very beautiful. (speaking foreign language)

- Ah, perfect.

- Awesome so we'll just park here.

And let's take some photos.

- Let's do it.

(yells)

- This is how Tatsu get's when he sees beautiful scenery.

(laughs)

- I can't pull out my seatbelt.

- I guess you're stuck here.

Oh my God.

(relaxing music)

Iwojima is a registered Geopark,

and the typical tourists who make the voyage,

all the way out here are generally the types,

that can appreciate this kind of natural,

untouched wild beauty.

Google Map is taking us through some weird back road.

(laughs)

So because it's an island the weather changes,

often very suddenly, without warning.

It just started raining, but hopefully the rain's not gonna,

continue for the rest of the day.

But we've just arrived at the famous hot springs,

on the island, and I thought it would be like a facility,

with like a parking lot, but it's not, this is it.

We've got our rental van parked right here,

and I think it's just right over there.

(relaxing music)

(cheers)

- Yes you can.

Just gotta be fast.

(laughs)

Oh god, oh god.

(speaks foreign language)

So Tatsu is shooting the hot spring,

we've been keeping an eye on it,

to see of the waves are coming anywhere near it.

And they do get pretty high,

but they don't exactly envelop this one,

so we might have a chance to hop in there.

Oh no!

Oh he's fine. (laughs)

So I'm standing by.

Outside.

Naked, like it ain't no thing.

You might be asking yourself,

"like jeez isn't this incredibly awkward?"

Yeah.

(bright cheerful music)

Located at the base of the volcano,

these hot springs can get as hot as 50 degrees Celsius,

or 122 degrees Fahrenheit at the source.

Thankfully though, the splashing waves

help cool the pools down to a comfortable temperature.

But I mean this is exhilarating.

Would you rate this as a must-see location in Japan?

- I would say this is, a hidden place.

- This is something you should try once in your life.

I feel like when it comes to "onsen",

we are in our most natural state.

We're in a totally natural hot spring,

right in front of the natural ocean.

Which is unpredictable and wild, and a little bit scary.

And we're standing here, I'm standing here, naked,

which is also wild, and a little bit scary.

But you know it's a good experience.

I'm glad we did it.

- I don't want to say, but this is awesome.

Awesome. - Awesome.

- Awesome. - Awesome!

- My vocabulary awesome!

In the 1960's, at its peak, Iwojima was a mining town,

and it had around 600 residents.

In the 70's, Yamaha opened a resort on the island,

and imported peacocks to the facility.

The resort went bankrupt, the mine closed,

and the population fell to just over 100 people.

But the peacocks went on to inhabit the island,

where they run wild, even today.

I should also mention, there aren't any hotels,

or restaurants on the island either.

But this is a great oppurtunity

to stay in a locally owned guest house instead.

Besides, unless you've brought your own food,

it's the only way to make sure

that you get to eat every single day.

(speaking foreign language)

- And we've got some (speaking foreign language).

And some (speaking foreign language),

stewed fish with some (speaking foreign language) I think,

and then we got some fried fish over here,

this is really cool.

I love eating at other people's houses,

cause then you get to see what they would serve and stuff.

- It's actually like super good.

- I know, I'm really excited.

Because it's so hard to bring food to the island,

you really appreciate having a warm meal to go home,

or wake up to, and chatting with the guest house mama,

is always a treat too.

(speaking foreign language)

On this day, a typhoon is approaching the island,

and this ferry is the last ferry,

until the typhoon is passed.

Residents are drawn to the port

to say goodbye to the visitors.

And the resident western African percussionist group,

comes to welcome the incoming ship,

with a mix of percussion and dance.

(beating drums)

(speaking foreign language)

And just like that,

it's time for us to head back to the main island.

(speaking foreign language)

This ferry is pretty big.

And thankfully it has several rooms,

for passengers to rest and relax in,

during the long journey back to Kagoshima.

This is really comfortable.

So the ferry's gonna take four hours,

for us to get to Kagoshima,

so we won't get in until 8 p.m. tonight.

So I'm glad that there's beds and blankets,

so I can just take a nap.

So how about you?

Would you like to visit a place like Iwojima?

Let me know in the comments.

Accounting for Beginners #90 / BALANCE SHEET in Five Minutes / ACCOUNTING 101 TUTORIAL / FAST & EASY - Duration: 5:01.

yo CPA strength here back with another video this is accounting for beginners

number 90 balance sheet in five minutes I have a whole other series you can look

on this playlist over here for anyway so let's get into this balance sheet in

five minutes we're gonna start off with our dc-8 large you don't know about GCL

or if you have instead of videos watch some other ones have our base for

everything and now out of that we have our balance sheet which is assets equal

liabilities plus equity All Right see here's the dc-8 ler asset see the

balance sheets in there so this is the balance sheet and then this is the line

are these always this is always equals here and the balance sheets in there if

you can't remember what the balance sheet is just the balance sheet is

assets equal liabilities plus equity now let's just think about that it balances

write the name of it as balances so if you can remember what each side of it is

write one side is asset see the asset is one side and the other side is

liabilities plus equity that means you know both sides okay you know you know

the two sides okay one is assets the others liabilities and equity and they

balance so this is my kind of balance beam or whatever these are you know

these have to equal and they balance the same values you know if you have five

thousand over here this has to be five thousand over here I got a question and

said hey assets is like money and stuff you have and then liabilities and stuff

you owe to somebody so I don't understand how they equal so I think

they're forgetting that equity was equities part of its liabilities plus

equity we're gonna do cash twenty thousand dollars and we're gonna do a

vehicle twenty thousand dollars so that means our assets are forty thousand

dollars so that's what we have in the company we have cash $20,000 and

a vehicle $20,000 or $40,000 their assets so that means what has to balance

on the other side of this what has to be either a liability or equity is $40,000

what is a liability is what you owe somebody liability is Oh somebody equity

is what we have in it what we own what we have in it what we own okay

so us so what is this comprise of liabilities own it to somebody the

equity is we own it so do we own it or owe it side of this

$40,000 out of this $40,000 right you can say how much liability do we have

we're gonna say 10,000 liability and how much equity we're gonna say 30,000 in

this first example so in this example we have $20,000 cash $20,000 vehicles of

$40,000 assets so we have to equal that with our liabilities and equity now in

this example we have $10,000 $10,000 liability and $30,000 equity you know I

have what liability is comprised of in other videos and I have what equities

comprise their other videos as well but basically liabilities is what the

company owes somebody and equity is what the company owns so in this one in a

brief second you can see the company has $40,000 worth of assets they owe

somebody 10,000 to that and they the company controls 30,000 of that so it's

kind of looking you know like a decently strong company all right let's reverse

let's reverse facts they still have $40,000 in assets but we're gonna just

switch this ten in third we're gonna switch the liabilities and equity

we're gonna go $30,000 liability and 10,000

equity that means that the $40,000 the asset they have with $20,000 cash and a

$20,000 vehicle over here on the asset side that means what is it comprised of

year we know this is in the business but do they own does the business owner do

they owe all that to somebody else when you look in three corners over $30,000

$40,000 they owe to somebody else so they don't even have that in theirs so

anyways that's five-minute balance sheet remember they always have to balance

assets equal liabilities plus equity and we get that off DC abler this is CP a

strength they love doing this and let's see I'll see you tomorrow

ISIS Đưa Trung Quốc Vào Tầm Ngắm | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 9:35.

On this episode of China Uncensored

ISIS is now going after China

And now the Chinese Communist Party versus ISIS

No, not that ISIS,

though now I have a cool idea for season 9.

I'm talking about the real ISIS.

The one so evil that it forced the writers of Archer to quietly drop the name from the show.

This ISIS,

also known as ISIL,

one of the world's most brutal terrorist organizations,

ISIS has killed tens of thousands of innocent people.

Well, ISIS is now targeting the Chinese Communist Party

which is also one of the world's most brutal organizations

and has killed tens of millions of innocent people.

So who do you root for?

It's like Alien versus Predator,

whoever wins, humanity loses.

Back in March, ISIS released a video threatening the CCP.

ISIS said it would come to China

to clarify to you with the tongues of our weapons

to shed blood like rivers

and avenging the oppressed.

The oppressed?

In China?

Sorry you'll have to be more specific about

which group of oppressed people in China you're talking about.

But you get the gist.

It's a threat.

But you know there's something I don't get.

It's not like China is sending its troops into the Middle East to fight ISIS.

Actually, the United States has been complaining

that China isn't doing its part in the fight against global terrorisma .

And in some ways, the Chinese regime is doing the opposite.

Like, when they defended their close ally Pakistan,

saying Pakistan is totally not a harbor for terrorists.

And that came just months after ISIS killed two Chinese nationals in Pakistan.

And the Chinese regime just to prove it really really didn't care,

blame the Chinese victims.

ISIS killed those Chinese citizens because they were illegally preaching Christianity in Pakistan.

Although to be fair,

that could have been their fate for illegally preaching Christianity in China, too.

The Chinese regime has basically stated,

'It won't join the global fight against ISIS.'

This is not to say the CCP is buddy-buddies with ISIS.

It's mainly that their strategy for dealing with the complexities of terror in the Middle-East

is basically: 'Nah, you guys sort it out.'

I mean, I told you in the last segment

that other BRICS countries got China to sign a joint statement

to express concern about ISIS.

And that's considered a big win

but still doesn't require China to do anything.

As Business Insider puts it,

while relying on the region for oil supplies,

China has tended to leave Middle Eastern diplomacy

to the other permanent members of the UN Security Council.

Take Iraq for example,

the US initially led the war effort to liberate Iraq...

from its oil reserves.

But now it's China buying up most of Iraq's oil,

the Chinese regime also recently announced

an almost half a billion dollar construction deal in Iraq

to rebuild after the defeat of ISIS.

I mean, not that the Chinese regime is specifically planning for the defeat of ISIS.

it's more that the Chinese regime wants to include Iraq in it's One Belt One Road Initiative.

And by and large,

this has been the Chinese regime's international strategy in the Middle East since the Cold War.

"An 'offend no one' and 'attached no string' strategy"

Offend no one and attach no strings,

sounds more like my friend Chad's dating strategy.

And much like Chad's love life,

the Middle East is still a hot mess.

So how did ISIS get so offended by the Chinese Communist Party?

I mean, they seem so reasonable

Well, it's because the Chinese regime is fighting a war against terrorists.

And by terrorists,

they mean the Uyghur people in western China in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

In China, an autonomous region is like a province,

autonomous means self governed

in the same way that People's Republic of China means it's run by the people.

Because in the case of Xinjiang,

the CCP has been ridiculously heavy-handed.

And how things are run?

About ten million of Xinjiang's 22 million residents

are the Turkic-speaking Uyghur people.

Who are these Uyghur people?

In a lot of ways, they're just like you and me.

They enjoy riding horses through golden hills on a warm September day,

eating spicy noodles at the local street market,

sitting through boring college PowerPoint presentation,

and loading up on carbs when they know they really really shouldn't

but it's my [cheat] day so don't judge me.

Of course, there's one thing that distinguishes the Uyghur people for most other Chinese.

A lot of them are Muslim, mostly secular Muslim,

although of course there's lots of religious Muslims there too.

The Chinese regime has effectively labeled all Uyghurs as a threat.

But it's not like they've singled them out for their religion or anything.

Remember over the years,

the Chinese regime has persecuted all sorts of groups,

Tibetans,

intellectuals

wealthy people,

poor people,

Christians,

lawyers,

activists,

and even those people who just sit there quietly in yellow shirts.

It's equal opportunity oppression.

I'm sorry Uyghurs, you're just not that special.

But according to this policy paper,

over the years,

the Chinese government gradually turned Uygur national identity and Islamic practices

into national security threats.

You see, after 9/11,

the Chinese regime realized they had a golden opportunity

to finally get international support

for one of their crazy persecutions.

Because these victims were Muslim.

So any locals who were angry at the CCP for, really, any number of reasons

were suddenly labeled as terrorists.

And you don't want to stand up for terrorists, do you?

And the CCP thinks

that nothing is as effective at stopping terrorism

like going after people's traditions.

So the CCP banned burkas and abnormal beards.

Plus, they ban traditional Muslim clothing

the [nomad] helmet

and fasting during the holy month of Ramadan for students and civil servants.

The CCP has also put extreme surveillance measures in place in the entire Xinjian region.

Like requiring a GPS in every car

and forcing residents to install spyware on their mobile phones

that tracks everywhere they go

every website they visit

and every text message they send.

Yeah, that's not gonna make anyone mad.

Of course to keep them in line,

the CCP has added a heavy military presence in Xinjiang.

Incidentally, the Communist Party chief in charge of Xinjiang

is this guy.

Previously, he was in charge of Tibet for five years.

He did excellent work in Tibet,

making sure no one there had freedom either.

So after years of the CCP treating its Muslim population horribly,

guess what?

It actually ended up driving some of them to terrorism.

Over the years,

there have been several acts of terror

carried out by Islamic extremists in Xinjiang.

Like the 2014 car bomb attack that killed 31 people.

Actually, Chinese state-run media has labeled about 15 incidents in Xinjiang to be acts of terror

in the past two decades.

Although it's hard to know how much of that is really terrorism

and how much is just regular crime

spun by state-run media as terrorism

to justify the heavy-handed treatment of locals.

None of the incidents were claimed by ISIS.

But, after ISIS became an evil global sensation in 2014,

ISIS tried to take advantage of Uyghur people's widespread anger with the CCP.

This study from a US think-tank

found that a hundred and fourteen ISIS fighters came from Xinjiang.

And now, you have ISIS actively recruiting in Xinjiang.

Even rolling out slickly produced songs in Mandarin to do it.

And ISIS is threatening the CCP.

But as I mentioned, the CCP kind of created their own problem.

For instance,

if the Chinese regime hadn't actively destroyed Tibet,

killing monks, burning temples, trying to wipe out their culture

and instead treated everyone reasonably well,

there'd be no anti China movement in the Tibetan community.

And the world might never have seen the Beastie Boys and Smashing Pumpkins

together on the same stage, at the same time.

And in Xinjiang,

the CCP oppression has also bred resentment.

Most of the Uyghurs there are very moderate in terms of their religion

and just want to be left alone by the CCP.

Don't we all?

But once the CCP started destroying their culture,

monitoring their every move

and labeling them as terrorists,

it's no wonder some of them have turned violent.

And it's no wonder ISIS is now trying to use that anger

for its own terrible agenda.

Although actually,

in a region with 10 million Uyghurs,

ISIS has only been able to recruit 114 fighters,

which is really really few.

And the number of Islamic terrorist attacks in Xinjiang

has also been pretty small compared to the size of the population at least.

But it's a great excuse for the world's biggest totalitarian regime

to blame the world's scariest terrorist group

and oppress millions of innocent Uyghurs just in case.

billion US dollars,… a more than 16 percent on-year jump.

Those numbers make Korea the world's 6th largest exporter.
